I'm just getting started with second life and I really need some linden dollars to fully take advantage of this game. Instead of whoring my avatar out all day I thought I'd offer my artistic skills instead (Pic related). I haven't done adult artwork in a while and I think it's a nice opportunity to get back into that and make some virtual bucks at the same time.

I'm new to the commerce aspect so I have no idea what my work would be worth in linden dollars. You can email me or just post here with a brief description of the artwork you'd like me to draw for your alongside a (hopefully) reasonable offer.

You can straight up buy lindey-loo dollaroos with real money. As for the conversion rate it's like

$1 USD = 250 L$, at least according to the dashboard.

it's just not worth selling this quality of art for a shitty linden balance. Get a paypal and use it for second life if you want to have lindens on hand.

I don't know mang. I've seen artwork sell in SL for like $L5000. You could piece together more than one quality av for 5k.

You are way too skilled to be earning your revenue solely on SL through $Ls, perhaps you could charge a "regular fee" for your commissions but give people a discount for those who discover you through Second Life.

You could do research and find what comparable price lists for what other artists charge on DeviantArt / other Tumblrs / F-List Artists

I'd just do regular commissions but it's a real hassle to set up for me due to tax laws in my country and paypal is a bit sketchy when it comes to pornographic stuff (and in general in my experience). I also don't want my real identity to be revealed through some payment process. It's not something I'll do regularly anyway, I suppose. I just want to set up a sweet avatar without spending my hard earned money on it and I'm willing to draw a few pictures for it. It's also good motivation to draw something lewd again.

namefagging cuz this is my second job. I'm gonna have to agree w this guy on this one, this artwork is professional quality and is easily worth WAY more than 5k, which is about 20 bucks. OP is easily industry standard, which means that they could charge about 100 bucks for a full-color fully-rendered piece if they put in the dedication and effort. I have been working in the commission biz for like 8 years of my life, trust me- ive seen way shittier and unprofessional art done by amateurs go for hundreds. it's all about aggregating loyalty w ur fanbase

You can use a pseudonym on paypal you are not required to put in your legal name. u can also register a business on paypal w ur bank and accept payment discreetly. i have many adult artist friends and there are ways for even the most tinfoil-hat of assholes to hide their identity online. paypal is not just a service its also your own personal bank. u can get a paypal card and keep it completely serparate from ur real identity. i can give you some help on this if you IM me in world.

OP, how much would you charge for commissions in USD? That's super easy to convert to roughly how much you should charge in lindens.
