I had this crazy thought: Atlas has a big military and a big military R&D industry. Naturally, the two come hand in hand as technological advancement has proven to be one of the deciding factors in many conflicts here on Earth. It would only make sense that even as a Grim Dragon sits atop Vale, Atlesian engineers would be busy with discovering and perfecting new methods of controlled destruction.

Also, general weapon systems in Remnant discussion is welcome.

"But why develop new ways to fight Grim when current weapon systems seem efficient enough?"

There is always room for improvement, but the real kick would be this:

>Grim are dangerous, but entirely predictable as they will always aim to destroy humans and their creations.

>Grim are more of a force of nature to be restrained like floods or fires.

>Humans and especially rogue Aura users are more dangerous as they plan ahead, employ strategy, organize and are able to infiltrate (all of which Torchwick & co. did)

>Therefore a reliable way of neutralizing human, Aura protected targets is required

Now I think that this could be something like a "Black Dust" tipped cartridge. No matter how edgy and OC-ish it sounds, BD would be a dust-like substance capable of penetrating and/or bypassing Aura entirely, allowing for a single projectile to cause lethal damage even to a hunter with strong and full Aura.

For this purpose, any weapon that could achieve similar results is applicable as well. It makes no matter because this is where everyone's favourite cinnamon bun comes in:

Atlas would need a testing platform to develop such weapon, but testing it on Aura wielding individuals is not a good way to go about it for obvious reasons. Therefore, a machine that can project Aura is needed. Enter the first working prototype, Penny.

so we know that aura can protect the user from physical damage, right? but what about non-lethal damage?

not things like rubber bullets or beanbags, but pepper balls and stun guns. would someone's aura know the difference between physical damage and nerve damage?

Nerve damage is physical, nerves are still cells. However, no ammount of aura can protect you against psy-ops shenanigans, since the psyche itself is what the aura is based on, it would have no way of discerning damage to it. But Grim can't mount psy-ops and there hasn't been a war for a long time between humans. Or was there?

Irritants can enter an aura user's body and interact with it as seen in SE1 when Ruby inhales red Dust powder, so pepper sprays are a go.

Imagine guys, Dust enhanced pepper sprays!

Stun guns project electrical shock to overload target's nerve system. A combatant has been seen using a stun baton in the show, so it must be somewhat efficient. His only mistake was using it against the only person that can channel electricity trough her body, the pink bomber Nora.

From what we've seen aura can heal minor injuries completely, stabilise a user after heavy injuries (Yang's dismemberment), prevent physical damage to user to an extent, both cuts and blunt force trauma as well as burns.

But I wonder, how would it help against poison? It doesn't mitigate alcohol effects seeing as Crow is able to maintain perpetual innebration. Maybe aura can't prevent chemical damage, but it may be able to repair it once it occurs, making poisons inefficient at large. Especially if aura can monitor and alter user's physiology. What do you think?

Even more unexplored is the option of someone drowning. How can aura maintain gas exchange when the user is submerged in water? Maybe Neptune is painfuly aware of that.

Unfortunately the DM's parents wiped his drives because of bullshit reasons so we've been in the /tg/ equivalent of filler hell for a bit, only recently started getting back into actual plot. Other than that, it's the game I look forward to most over the week.

I can't remember the initiation very well any more, other than soloing Ursas so much I got a favored enemy and +1 Overconfident, and it was after that that we switched to text for in game, so I don't even know what was going on with the other team (2 DMs, 8 Players).

They got older. I'm in my mid-20s now and I admit being far older than the target audience when I started watching RvB. Their audience is now working instead of binge watching their stuff. Admitably, school has been replaced by work, but work makes you feel tired to the point you don't even do anything for FUN except very menial shit. Their audience either plays vidya, does stuff with people (becoming normies) or watches other people on youtube who tailor to their tastes more.

Christ, I remember back on cuckchan when people talk about RvB going down-hill, and that was before the fight scenes. So if 2 people in their audience left for every 1 that joined, thats how they got here.

But like >>12718 says, they are now part of a bigger studio, who will demand more money. They scramble to meet that demand and piss off their bosses when they fall shy of it, and STILL they double their demand each year I'd bet.

Also the RVB the thing is very old now and it feels like they are beating a dead horse. Also Achievement hunter went down hill too especially now that they really only do GTA V or Minecraft or shill a certain game. A lot of the original people left as well who were some of the reasons why people watched achievement hunter They also have a lot of competition now that is producing better content. You may not like Funhaus bu they are innovating and doing some funny shit. Unfortuantely i lost respect for them when they basically read comments and one was from cuckchan and they said they are perfect and his criticism of them is retarded. It may of been autistic but it did have a point. Also their podcasts or shows just started shilling products now. I have a older post on this board where I talked to my two friends who are fans of RT a older and newer one and their opinions on the current RT content
