Who’s The Racists? Bill Gates Spending $18 Million On Population Control In Africa

The woke Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda Gates, have a strange obsession with pushing population control on Africa, as if reducing the number of black people on the continent will suddenly make everything all better.

According to All Africa, the Gates family announced at an international family planning conference in Rwanda that they will be donating $18 million to "family planning programs" through the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

As noted by LifeNews, Bill and Melinda Gates have earned for themselves a notorious reputation of "pushing birth control on some of the world’s poorest countries while their people cry for clean water, food and basic health care." Much of the money that the Gates donate go to abortion providers like International Planned Parenthood Federation and Marie Stopes International. UNFPA has also been linked to oppressive population control measures in China, including forced sterilizations and abortions.

All Africa reports that the UNFPA family planning program will direct supplies to countries like Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Togo. The stated goal: 120 million girls using contraception by 2020.

"Under the Ouagadougou Partnership, family planning efforts will be made with initiatives that enable 120 million more women and girls to use contraceptives by 2020 and accelerate progress in the use of family planning services in targeted countries," reports All Africa.

The Guardian reports, however, that family planning goals have not been met in recent years; the leaders hope to change that with this latest initiative.

According to FP2020, an estimated 317 million women and girls in the world’s poorest countries are now using a modern form of contraception, 46 million more than in 2012.

However, in its report published this week, it admitted the figure was way short of its target to reach an extra 120 million women in 69 target countries by 2020.

The Gates family have been open about their desired plan for population control. In an interview last month, the billionaire said it was key to "ending poverty and fighting inequality."

"The biggest thing is the modern tools of contraception," he said. "There are implants, injections, IUD. And, obviously, if you have those things available, then people are more in control of being able to space their children."

In June, Melinda Gates blasted the Trump administration for defunding the International Planned Parenthood by implementing the Mexico City Policy shortly after taking office, effectively stripping $100 million from the abortion giant.

Speaking to Britain's Today Programme, Melinda Gates called the administration's Mexico City Policy "very troubling" and criticized its broad expansion, which effectively forced "reproductive health organizations have to say, even if you’re not receiving government funding for abortions, you won’t even do these [abortions] in your clinic with funding, say, from the UK or from France."

"He [Trump] is proposing not funding family planning and that is a huge problem," she said. "If you believe in women, you fund family planning and so I’m counting on Congress in the U.S. to hold up U.S. funding on family planning."

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, faces a new challenge this weekend as a motorist protest movement threatens to bring the country to a standstill.

The so-called gilets jaunes (yellow vests) protest movement has no official organisation, no identified leader and no political affiliation. Instead, it has been almost entirely coordinated on social media.

As a result, the French authorities fear the location of the protests is almost impossible to pin down and nobody has a clue how many people will turn up.

On Friday, the prime minister, Édouard Philippe, said the gilets jaunes were free to protest but blocking the country was “obviously not acceptable”.

A call to action across France in protest at the rising cost of diesel and petrol, has sparked vigorous support on Facebook, where the Blocage 17 Novembre 2018 page, has almost 25,000 followers. The group states: “We point out that we are not part of any organisation (or political party). This event comes about only from the French people.”

The “yellow vests” are named after the hi-vis tops motorists are obliged to carry in their vehicles under French law in case of a breakdown. France has a long history of citizens taking to the streets to force the hands of successive governments over the past 50 years.

Macron has defended the rise in taxes on fuel next year, which comes after a 23% rise in the cost of diesel and 15% in petrol in the past year. Ministers say price increases are mainly due to higher wholesale oil prices globally. But there is anger about taxes on fuel that have risen incrementally since 2014. Diesel is due to be taxed another 6.5 cents per litre and petrol by 2.9 cents in France from January.

The government says its transport policy is aimed at long-term “ecological transition” and encouraging more environment-friendly vehicles.

“I prefer taxing fuel to taxing labour,” Macron said last week. “People complaining about rising fuel prices are the same ones who complain about pollution and how their children suffer.”

Critics say the rising fuel prices hits workers who depend on cars to get to and from their jobs particularly in the countryside. The dispute has sparked a rift between the city “elite” and the rural poor in France, where Macron has been labelled the president of the rich because of his tax breaks for business.

Laurent Wauquiez, the leader of the opposition centre-right Les Républicains, tweeted: “You have to be completely out of touch with reality not to understand that taxing fuel is taxing those who work.”

The economy minister, Bruno Le Maire, has spent recent days promoting the government’s financial incentives for drivers to move away from diesel. These include a rebate for owners who trade in vehicles for a more environmentally friendly model.

There is also an “ecological bonus” for drivers who rent or buy new electric vehicles. Protesters struggling to meet the rising cost of fuel say this does not help them in the short term.

While go-slow actions will be tolerated during the demonstration, police have been ordered to break up any protests that bring roads to a standstill.

A poll by Elabe for BFM TV on Wednesday suggested 73% of French people supported the protests and 70% said the government should scrap the fuel price rises.

Trump says he will nominate Andrew Wheeler to head EPA

President Trump said on Friday that he will nominate Andrew Wheeler to be the next administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Supreme Court to hear dispute over citizenship question on census

The Supreme Court has agreed to consider a dispute over evidence in a politically fraught case about the Trump administration's plans to include a citizenship question in the 2020 Census. The court said in an order Friday that it would hear arguments in the case Feb. 19.

More than a dozen states, cities, and organizations sued the Trump administration over its move to include the citizenship question on the 2020 census, arguing the Commerce Department acted unlawfully in doing so. Critics contend the question's inclusion could deter broad swaths of people from participating who fear interaction with government agents — including noncitizens or friends and relatives of noncitizens. That could produce a lower overall count of people that could potential help Republicans and hurt Democrats. The dispute headed toward the Supreme Court centers on evidence that could be heard in trial by a federal judge in New York. The proceedings in the lawsuit challenging the addition of the citizenship question began Nov. 5, and the trial is expected to wrap soon.

As part of discovery, litigants sought to depose Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and John Gore, the acting head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights division. The Supreme Court agreed to halt Ross’s deposition, in an order late last month, but allowed Gore’s to proceed. In a separate order this month, the justices also rejected a request from the Justice Department to put the census trial on hold, which allowed it to proceed.

The president of the Swiss insurance firm Visana, Urs Roth, committed suicide on Monday, the firm has announced. In recent years, several top Swiss executives have taken their lives.

Trump Tells Fox’s Chris Wallace Conduct ‘Rules’ Coming for Press

The president said "rules" are being written and if they're not followed, reporters can still be thrown out of briefings.

President Trump seems to be already working on a plan to regulate press briefings, hours after a judge ruled an ousted CNN reporter’s press access be reinstated. In an interview with Chris Wallace for Fox News Sunday, Trump brushed off Judge Timothy Kelly’s Friday ruling that CNN’s Jim Acosta have his Secret Service pass to the White House grounds be reinstated. Despite the ruling being a interim rejection of The White House argument that the president has “broad” discretion in which credentialed members of the press are allowed access to attend official briefings, Trump said, “It’s not a big deal,” and that his team is already working on “rules” for reporter conduct. “We’re doing that, we’re going to write them up right now,” Trump told Wallace. “It’s not a big deal and if he misbehaves we’ll throw him out or we’ll stop the news conference.”

Pushing for specifics, Wallace asked if certain things are going to be considered “over the line” and Trump reiterated that these new rules are being written now, but that they will cover “decorum” and outline that reporters “can’t keep asking questions.” “We had a lot of reporters in that room, many many reporters in that room and they were unable to ask questions because this guy gets up and starts, you know, doing what he’s supposed to be doing for him and for CNN and, you know, just shouting out questions and making statements, too,” Trump said, referring to Acosta refusing to give up a mic during a briefing last week, which led to the revocation of his White House access.

Trump did not mention the initial White House line that Acosta, who returned to the press area of the White House today, was barred because he allegedly “placed his hands on” an intern who attempted to take the mic from him during a question. Now it seems the issue is Acosta refusing to have his question ignored after Trump called on him during a briefing. Trump added that “nobody believes in the first amendment more than I do,” citing CNN’s allegation in a Tuesday lawsuit that the president and his key staff were crossing the line of freedom of speech in barring Acosta arbitrarily. Going forward, Trump said his strategy during briefings will be to simply leave if he doesn’t like the way it’s going. “If I think somebody is acting out of sorts I will leave, I will say ‘Thank you very much everybody, I appreciate you coming,’ and I’ll leave,” Trump said. “And those reporters will not be too friendly to whoever it is that’s acting up.”
