In professional wrestling, "generating heat" refers to a performer's ability to provoke a strong, negative emotional reaction from the audience. A wrestling villain, or "heel," deliberately uses specific behaviors, promos, and in-ring tactics to make the crowd boo them, which ultimately helps build up the heroic "babyface" they are feasting on.
While the concept is simple, the subculture of pro wrestling categorizes "heat" into distinct types based on the crowd's reaction
The ultimate purpose of generating heat is the "payoff." Wrestling relies on catharsis. The more the crowd despises the heel, the louder they will cheer when the babyface finally overcomes the odds, defeats the villain, and gets revenge. Without great heat, a babyface victory feels hollow.

To the people of Texas, I am headed your way, and one of the people that I am going to pay respect to today is Tano Tijerina. Out of love and passion, he is running against a Dumocrat, Henry Cuellar, who, along with his wife, I pardoned, at the request of his daughters, because they said, “Please don’t let them take our parents away!” They would have gone to jail on federal fraud and conspiracy charges, for over 20 years and, in fact, Henry Cuellar’s brother, a Sheriff, a short time later, was indicted on the same charges. In any event, I did the pardons, and made no deal, where a crooked politician would have, but I thought there would be a good chance that Cuellar, who was persecuted by Democrats because they didn’t like him, would have routinely gone over to the Republican Party — The people that saved him from years in prison. Shockingly, Cuellar announced, only a few days later, that he is going to remain a Dumocrat. Many considered this to be a tremendous act of disloyalty, and certainly, showed him to be an extremely ungrateful person. His wife, as I heard, wanted him to turn to the man and the Party that helped him, but he wouldn’t do it so, because they’re vicious, the Dumocrats will have a chance to go after him again. In any event, the man running against him, Tano Tijerina, is a STAR and, hopefully, will WIN! We call that payback for a disloyal and ungrateful person, a person whose life has been saved only to go back into the clutches of the people that tried so hard to destroy him. Henry Cuellar is a LOSER who, right now, should be serving a longterm jail sentence with his wife in a top level penitentiary. Tano, a legendary Baseball Star, Great Athlete, respected County Judge, and fine person, will hopefully beat Cuellar so that people can show how bad it is when you are recognized and humiliated as being one of the most disloyal political people on Earth! I only wish Henry Cuellar’s daughters, who begged for his survival, would have used the same level of charm to convince their mother and father to do the right thing. I am very proud of the fact that I didn’t make a deal with Cuellar, which I easily could have, but relied on his character, which turned out to be a faulty one. Tano Tijerina, on the other hand, lovesLoredo, and all of South Texas but, most importantly, he truly loves the United States of America. VOTE FOR TANO TIJERINA, and show people that disloyalty only causes loss, heartache, and grief! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Hey President Trump, I had an idea that could help the US gain an edge with data centers. One of the big issues people raise with them is noise, specifically infrasound. As you yourself have said, frequencies can be weapons. So, how to reduce sound? Line the buildings with automotive sound baffling like in a car's engine bay! Super simple and would reduce noise almost entirely! Should be a very affordable solution for engineers and builders, and this combined with true closed loop systems should help data centers to become genuinely decent neighbors for us rural anons. In the shadow of a pending lawsuit, the CDC quietly reinstated its 2025 guidance last month, reverting to its recommendation that all children aged 6 months to 17 years should be vaccinated.
This reversal overturned Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s recommendations in May 2025 that halted broad vaccination for healthy children.
The FDA has only approved covid “vaccines” for adults 65 years and older and younger people with high-risk conditions. The CDC acknowledges that use of the covid injection in the 6 months to 17 years age group would be an “off-label” use.

Newly unsealed police bodycam footage shows the shocking moments after a 6-year-old boy shot his teacher at a Virginia elementary school back in 2023.
In 2023, the Newport News Commonwealth’s prosecutor decided the 6-year-old boy who shot a Virginia school teacher wouldn’t face charges.
Richneck Elementary School teacher Abby Zwerner was hospitalized for two weeks after one of her students shot her in January 2023.
The family of the first grader said the child suffers from “acute disability and was under a care plan at the school that included his mother or father attending school with him and accompanying him to class every day.”
In April 2023, the mother of the child, Deja Taylor, was charged with “felony child neglect and a misdemeanor for leaving a firearm that could endanger a child,” WTKR reported.
The newly unsealed police bodycam footage is shocking.
The 6-year-old child cursed out police officers as they arrived at the scene of the crime.

Washington has reportedly pressured several governments to withdraw their support for a conference organized by an EU-funded “anti-disinfo” NGOthat designated the US a potential source of foreign disinformation.
The event host is EU DisinfoLab, one of Brussels’ info-gatekeepers deployed to scapegoat and smear dissidents opposing the bloc’s political course. The NGO notoriously launched its career by labeling online critics of French President Emmanuel Macron as “Russophiles.”
Organizers of the #Disinfo2026 conferencein Vilnius, Lithuania, reportedly classified theUS as a “foreign information manipulation and interference” (FIMI) actor, according to two news outlets with insider sources in Brussels. The EU normally uses the term to describe alleged malicious online activities by geopolitical rivals such as Russia and China.
By the time the conference opened, the logos of the EU’s diplomatic service, the European External Action Service (EEAS), and the foreign ministries of Canada and Lithuaniahad disappeared from all material, leaving only the French Foreign Ministry and the Vilnius city administration.
Rapporteur, formerly known as Euractiv, attributed the changes to apressure campaign initiated by American writer Michael Shellenberger, who withdrew as a speaker after learning that the US had been designated a FIMI actor.
Politico cited the US State Department and cables instructing American embassies to convey Washington’s objections.
“Labeling the United States a ‘FIMI threat’ – a term normally reserved for describing influence operations of adversaries – undermines shared goals and should alarm those involved,”officials told the outlet.
Experts in (spreading) disinformation
The Russiagate hoax, involving a concerted campaign by former US President Barack Obama and his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, to falsely claim US President Donald Trump was somehow compromised by links to Russia, helped fuel the emergence of an industry of self-described experts in combating online disinformation and misinformation. Critics have accusedsuch organizations of serving as proxies for government-backed censorshipthat authorities cannot impose directly.
Belgium-based EU DisinfoLab first attracted widespread attention in 2018, when it alleged Russian efforts to amplify a political scandal involving Macron’s security aide, Alexandre Benalla, who had been filmed assaulting protesters while wearing police equipment.
The NGO’s research identified alleged “Russian bots” and “French Russophile” Twitter accounts supposedly fueling public outrage over the affair. Critics questioned its methodology, prompting the organization to publish detailed information about the accounts it had studied, including those of opposition politicians Jean-Luc Melenchon and Marine Le Pen.
In 2022, theBelgian Data Protection Authority (APD)fined EU DisinfoLab €2,700 ($3,000) and its lead researcher, Nicolas Vanderbiest, €1,200 ($1,300), while formally reprimanding both. The regulator, which investigated the case in cooperation with France’s data protection authority, the CNIL, found that the researchers hadunlawfully processed personal datarevealing political opinions and exposed users to potential discrimination through political profiling.
The decision prompted French National Rally MEP Virginie Joronto question whether EU DisinfoLab should continue receiving funding from Brussels. Grants allocated by the European Commission to the NGO over the years have added up to at least €1.4 million ($1.6 million), according to financial disclosures.

Fellow board memberAndy Pryceis a veteran British diplomat who launched and led the Foreign Office’s program intended to thwart Russian strategic communications. Former board member and researcher Camille Francois worked on an investigation into the 2016 “Russian interference” in the US on behalf of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Laser-focused away from Western disinformation
The EU DisinfoLab annual conference program includes a yoga session and discussions of “identity-based disinformation” and “Russia’s global information war.” Cases of debunked Western disinformation, plentiful as they are,received little attention.
One example was the alleged Russian attempt to jam the navigation system of a plane carrying European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen over Bulgaria last year. The story unravelled when Bulgarian authorities said their monitoring systems had detected no GPS interference, contrary to statements by EU officials.
A similar case last month involved a claim that a Russian drone had nearly struck a plane carrying Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, which Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store stated during a joint press conference.
However, Moldovan authorities later clarified that Zelensky’s flight from Chisinau to Oslo had merely been briefly delayed by a drone alert. The drone in question crashed some 160 km from the airport.

How was the Saturn system imaged so clearly? Astrophotographer Tom Williams captured such exquisite details due to one night of exceptional atmospheric conditions above the United Kingdom. This means more than a cloudless sky. Pockets of air at different temperatures and densities move around and bend light as it travels through Earth’s atmosphere, distorting astronomy images. This is called “seeing.” Less atmospheric turbulence means clearer images. The astrophotographer reduced the impact of seeing with the lucky imaging technique: thousands of short-exposure images are taken very quickly with a high-speed camera and the clearest images are added up. Which object in this smörgåsbord interests you? Perhaps Titan or the icy stripes of Enceladus? Maybe the gaps and spokes in Saturn’s rings? Saturn's opposition, when Earth passes in between the planet and the Sun, occurred on October 4th. Due to the planet's proximity and full illumination from the Sun, now is a great time of year to observe it!

Senate Judiciary Democrats are asking chair Chuck Grassley to apologize to Jack Smith on the behalf of his GOP committee members — especially for Sen. Eric Schmitt, the Missouri Republican who falsely accused Smith of secretly attending an NBA game in Atlanta to conspire with local prosecutors about bringing charges against President Donald Trump.
The letter, spearheaded by ranking member Dick Durbin of Illinois and obtained exclusively by POLITICO, also demands Grassley turn over the underlying records Schmitt used during a hearing last month to levy the false allegations against Smith, the Biden-era special counsel investigating whether Trump sought to overturn the results of the 2020 election and mishandled classified documents.
The episode, Democrats wrote, “caused needless confusion, slowed down the business of the Committee, introduced the possibility that false information would be entered uncontested into the record, and created an embarrassing stain on one of the most important committees in Congress.”
The Democratic letter to Republicans marks an escalation of the typical bickering between the two parties. It’s also reopening a not-yet-closed wound for Republicans, whose efforts to damage Smith’s reputation during their high-profile hearing were blunted by Schmitt’s error.
Congressional Republicans have for years been working to undermine Smith’s investigations as politically motivated, and many GOP senators on the Judiciary Committee hoped to use their hearing with Smith to catch him in either a lie or an admission he weaponized the judicial system against Trump.
To that end, Schmitt used a giant poster to display images of text messages from Smith’s team in an attempt to prove the special counsel was in Atlanta on Feb. 3, 2024, for an NBA basketball game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Golden State Warriors — scheduled around the same time local prosecutor Fani Willis, who was working to convict Trump over his 2020 election subversion scheme, was facing damaging questions about her conduct.
Smith ultimately clarified he did not attend the NBA game on that date but was instead at a women’s basketball game at the University of Maryland between the Terrapins and the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, then led by star player Caitlin Clark. The exchange went viral and Schmitt continues to show no regret for his apparent misunderstanding.
The text messages “established only that Senator Schmitt had not done the basic due diligence of verifying a document before relying on it,” the Democrats wrote in their letter to Grassley, adding that,“nonetheless, Senator Schmitt incorrectly asserted to Mr. Smith, ‘I think you’ve already perjured yourself,’ and inexcusably branded him ‘a dirtbag,’ language which is beneath the dignity of this Committee and the Senate.”
And because Democrats didn’t have advance access to the materials Schmitt referenced in his presentation during the hearing, they said they were “were forced to synthesize these baseless accusations and respond in real time.”

Democrats also took aim at another record they say was not shared with them ahead of time: a readout of an Aug. 17, 2024, phone call between Smith and the Public Integrity Section of the Justice Department, which Schmitt and fellow Missouri GOP Sen. Josh Hawley both referred to during the Senate Judiciary hearing.
The notes from that phone call, which Hawley mentioned during his questioning of Smith, indicated the Public Integrity Section advised Smith to wait to file an updated indictment against Trump until after the 2024 presidential election. Smith had originally sought to file an amended indictment in the 2020 election subversion case following the Supreme Court’s ruling that Trump had broad immunity for official actions undertaken as president.
Smith testified during the hearing that several drafts of a superseding indictment were passed back and forth before one was ultimately approved and filed in August 2024.
“We ask that you immediately provide all committee records that you have withheld, commit to fully complying with Senate Rules … going forward, and apologize to Mr. Smith on behalf of the Committee,” the Senate Judiciary Democrats wrote.
Clare Slattery, a spokesperson for Grassley, said in a statement, “it’s Jack Smith who owes an apology to the thousands of Americans he and his staff ran roughshod over.”
Spokespeople for Smith, Schmitt and Hawley did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

White employees at the BBC earnless than their ethnic minority colleagues in six of seven salary grades, according to the British broadcaster’s 2025/26 annual report. The figures have raised new questions about the corporation’s drive to promote ethnic minority staff and its possible impact on pay.
According to the BBC’s 2025/26 pay gap report, highlighted by The Telegraph on Wednesday,black, Asian, mixed-race and other ethnic minority employees earn 13.2% more in median hourly pay than white colleagues in the lowest salary band. Even among the broadcaster’s most senior executives, the gap stands at 5.3%.
White employees came out ahead in just one category, where their median hourly pay was 0.6% higher. Across the BBC as a whole, however,white staff still earned 0.7% more, largely because they held a greater share of the highest-paid jobs.
The pay figures have drawn attention to the BBC’s push to advance ethnic minority employees. The broadcaster runs special mentoring and career development programs designed to help Black, Asian and other minority staff climb the career ladder, raising questions about whether the drive could be contributing to the pay gaps.
The corporation has set a target for ethnic minorities to make up 20% of both its workforce and senior leadership. The BBC insists these are goals rather than quotas and says they have no bearing on pay decisions.
Former UK Culture Secretary John Whittingdale questioned the BBC’s pay practices, telling The Telegraph that thebroadcaster “ought to be paying staff entirely on the basis of the value and merit they contribute for the job they are doing.”
He said theBBC had previously moved to correct gender pay disparities and should apply the same principle of “fair pay” regardless of race, sexuality, or gender.
The broadcaster has faced repeated scandals over unequal pay. In 2020, journalist Samira Ahmed won a landmark employment tribunal case after judges found that she had been paid less than male presenter Jeremy Vine for equivalent work.
In 2024, four female BBC presenters accused the corporation of sex and age discrimination following a shake-up of its news division. In November 2025, the BBC disclosed six internal equal pay cases, including two appeals.
The BBC has rejected suggestions that the latest figures demonstrate unequal treatment, saying it is “committed to fair and equal pay for all.”

Husband appears in court accused of GP's murder
The husband of a GP has appeared in court charged with her murder after she was found dead at home.
The body of 45-year-old Hannah Cain, known to her patients as Dr Hannah Terry, was found at a property in Fern Hill in Dersingham, Norfolk, on Sunday.
Mark Cain, 45, also of Fern Hill, was charged with her murder on Tuesday.
He appeared in a black sweatshirt at Norwich Magistrates' Court, where he spoke only to confirm his age, name and address. He was not asked to enter a plea and is due back in court on Thursday.
Prosecutor Jacqui Hanlon told the court the ambulance service contacted the police at 02:25 BST on Sunday.
She said Hannah Cain was "found in an upstairs bedroom not breathing, not conscious".
She said a post-mortem examination "noted blunt force injury to the right side of her head had been inflicted, also an injury that could be suggestive of compression of the neck".
District judge Matthew Bone remanded the defendant in custody to appear at King's Lynn Crown Court on Thursday.
In a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon, Hannah Cain's family described her as "kind, generous and loving".
"We are incredibly proud of the woman she was and of the great care she took of all her patients who knew her as Dr Terry," they added.
The GP was listed as a member of the practice team at Grimston Medical Centre, which had closed on Monday and Tuesday, following her death.
Dersingham is on the edge of the Royal Family's estate of Sandringham in west Norfolk, while Grimston is to the south.
The GP served in a pool of doctors who were regularly on call for members of the Royal Family, The Sun newspaper has reported.
The medical centre reopened on Wednesday and said it would not be commenting "on the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of our colleague, Dr Hannah Terry".
A statement issued by the NHS on behalf of the practice said: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of our much-loved and highly respected colleague, Dr Hannah Terry.
"Hannah was an exceptional doctor and a deeply valued member of our NHS and primary care community.
"Highly intelligent, kind and generous, she brought warmth and positivity to those around her."

Public health officials, including the honorable HHS Secretary RFK Jr. and celebrated physician Dr. Mehmet Oz, will gather at the White House today for a closed-door “risk assessment” meeting about an alleged pneumonic plague death in Russia. President Trump will not be present; he’s currently on the campaign trail supporting Republican candidates.
According to the story, a 28-year-old lab worker at a Siberian plague institute accidentally shattered a test tube holding live virus. Soon after, she developed pneumonia, was placed on a ventilator, and died two days afterward. Russian authorities have dismissed the plague story as fake news propaganda and said that the victim, Darya Shipilova, died from pneumonia of “unknown origin,” possibly acquired during a recent trip to Mongolia. Nonetheless, Russia’s dramatic response to even a single lab-acquired infection rang alarm bells and spawned conspiracy theories. Five medical facilities within 150 kilometers of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute were allegedly placed on lockdown, and Russia quarantined 187 citizens who had close contact with Ms. Shipilova.
Her death and Russia’s seemingly histrionic response raised valid questions: Why wasn’t Ms. Shipilova wearing PPE while handling a virulent, highly transmissible virus in a BSL-4 laboratory? Why wasn’t she given antibiotics, which are very effective against pneumonic plague? Why the secrecy? Concealment and non-disclosure fuel conspiracies, and sprawling tales of the plague institute being a secret bioweapon laboratory surfaced on social media.
The Kremlin has denied that assertion, calling it fantastical garbage. Our FSB source, Andrei Zhakarov, said the agency ascribes the bioweapon lab story to Ukrainian agents either seeding or amplifying fictitious nonsense on social media.
“Ukraine make lies,” Zhakarov said. “No lab leak. If a test tube broke, safety failsafe would contain it. Postmortem of Darya Shipilova found no plague in her. No plague in quarantined people—many already released. Ukrainian, how you say, shit-starters at Ministry of Defense make this shit up to make us look incompetent and scare people. Stir up fear of another fake pandemic coming. Deep State is global, you know.”
Additionally, yarns about a second plague victim and five hospitals implementing quarantine lockdown were also sown by Deep State agitators, one of whom, Zhakarov said, the Kremlin has already identified and will “deal with” in short order. Zhakarov insinuated that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had either planted a mole at the plague research institute or bribed a legitimate employee to “leak lies.”
“If the FSB finds spy or traitor—fast justice. No trial. Many people fall out of high windows in Russia. It’s waste of money to bring guilty people to trial,” Zhakarov said.
