Philippines to cover an election. He did not go because he was asked to do so by his

Alsop is one of more than 400 American journalists who in the past twenty-five years have
secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency, according to documents
on file at CIA headquarters. Some of these journalists’ relationships with the Agency were
tacit; some were explicit. There was cooperation, accommodation and overlap. Journalists
provided a full range of clandestine services—from simple intelligence gathering to serving as
go-betweens with spies in Communist countries. Reporters shared their notebooks with the
CIA. Editors shared their staffs. Some of the journalists were Pulitzer Prize winners,
distinguished reporters who considered themselves ambassadors without-portfolio for their
country. Most were less exalted: foreign correspondents who found that their association with
the Agency helped their work; stringers and freelancers who were as interested in the
derring-do of the spy business as in filing articles; and, the smallest category, full-time CIA
employees masquerading as journalists abroad. In many instances, CIA documents show,
journalists were engaged to perform tasks for the CIA with the consent of the managements

In my career as a professional intelligence officer, I had many occasions to access highly
classified documents, but during service as a political science officer in the field in
Angola, West Africa, I had the opportunity to view a series of top secret classified
documents which were unusually explicit. What I saw filled me with anger and
resentment and launched me on a course from which I have not deviated, namely to
uncover what power it is that controls and manages the British and United States
governments. I was thoroughly familiar with all of the well known secret societies such

(CFR), the Bilderbergers, Trilaterals, the Zionists, Freemasonry, Bolshevism
Rosicrucianism and all of the spinoffs of these secret societies. As an intelligence officer,
and even before that as a young student in the course of my studies at the British Museum
in London, I had cut my eye teeth on all of them, plus a good number of others with
whom I imagined Americans were familiar.
But when I came to the United States in 1969, I found that names like the Order of St.
John of Jerusalem, Club of Rome the German Marshall Fund, the Cini Foundation, the
Round Table, the Fabianists, the Venetian Black Nobility, the Mont Pelerin Society,
Hellfire Clubs, and many others were at best totally unknown here, or else their true
functions were at best but poorly understood, if at all.
In 1969-1970 I set about remedying the situation in a series of monographs and cassette
tapes.

Allow me to interpret what’s happening.
Anthropic is being audited.
Anthropic desires to file an S-1, as they would like to go public. Therefore they need an audit. And by “they”, I mean the VC’s who invested in them. So “they” can exit their position and pass the bag to firemen, nurses, teachers and policemen.
How does this go from the VC’s to the working man and woman? Because the size of the IPO will automatically qualify Anthropic for the Fortune 500 and the Dow Jones 100. Therefore, every working person with a 401k or pension will end up owning a little bit of Anthropic in their mutual funds. Teachers hold the bag, VC’s take the cash. Thank you, come again.
Now back to the audit. The audit required is a PCAOB audit, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. This audit is what all public companies must comply with be on the stock market. Revenue recognition, expense classification, depreciation, related party transactions, etc. It’s there for consumer protection.
This audit is TOUGH. It is INVASIVE. There is no way to lie your way through it. Any company that passes a PCAOB audit automatically earns my trust on finances.
How do I know? Because I’ve been through it before.

Now, why would Anthropic be leaking all kind of weird statements lately about “self pacing” a slow down on AI (e.g. they are WAY behind on revenue), and profitable if they didn’t have expenses (e.g. we just learned for the first time what our expenses are, because we’re being audited).
Because they were claiming NVIDIA discounts and Microsoft cloud credits as revenue. Because they had no clue what their expenses were, or why it even mattered. Because they had unlimited investor capital and their job was to burn it to make an LLM. Well, they did a great job with that!
That’s the same as my wife coming home with Bed Bath and Beyond coupons and telling me it’s her paycheck. Ummm, not the same, sweetheart.
So by now hopefully you can see that Anthropic is in a PCAOB audit right now, in order to file an S-1 and go public, and pass the bag to teachers so the VC’s get profits. And hopefully that explains their “crazy” behavior.
In reality you can be grateful to KPMG, PWC, or whoever is auditing Anthropic, because it’s the first time Dario learned that:
1) we are not profitable
2) expenses matter
3) coupons are not revenue
4) we have no clue how to be “profitable”
5) growth is hard when revenue numbers are in an audit and not a power point

A national judges’ association hosted former immigration judges to teach lawyers how to help clients avoid deportation—including through the handling of criminal-case records.
The National Association of Women Judges’ May 6, 2026 program promised instruction on “precise plea language and sentencing records.” Its stated goal included preventing ambiguous paperwork from inadvertently allowing federal authorities to classify a client’s offense as an aggravated felony or particularly serious crime.
The speakers were former immigration judges Mimi Tsankov, Maria Lurye and Raisa Cohen. Two had previously prosecuted removal cases for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Both now operate businesses assisting the defense.
As President Donald Trump orders faster immigration enforcement, former officials who prosecuted and decided deportation cases are helping lawyers fight them.
Helping clients avoid deportation after criminal cases
The curriculum focuses on a crucial link between criminal court and immigration enforcement: the records a criminal case produces.
It also promises instruction on documenting ICE incidents, responding to courthouse and home enforcement, and advising clients on the “defensive use of the 5th Amendment during hallway encounters.”
These are legal tools for protecting clients against removal. Criminal defense lawyers must advise clients about deportation risks: in Padilla v. Kentucky, the Supreme Court expressly recognized that plea negotiations can produce convictions and sentences that reduce the likelihood of deportation.
The practical objective is clear: help lawyers handle criminal cases in ways that preserve a client’s ability to remain in the United States.
From prosecuting removal to advising the defense
Lurye spent nine years working for ICE.
Her official speaker biography says she served as an assistant chief counsel from 2008 to 2017, litigating removal cases, supervising trial proceedings and drafting appeals. She then served as an immigration judge from 2017 through December 2025.
Within months of leaving the bench, she was listed as an instructor for the NAWJ training. She now leads Maria Lurye Law, a consulting firm supporting removal-defense attorneys nationwide.
Her firm advertises “Judicially informed strategy and practical guidance shaped by nearly two decades in immigration court.” Its services include the “immigration consequences of criminal charges and pleas.”
Her government experience is now a selling point for lawyers opposing the government in removal proceedings.
Cohen’s firm makes the same pitch: “Former Immigration Judge & ICE Prosecutor Fighting for you.”
The Justice Department’s appointment announcement documents two periods of ICE service between 2009 and 2016. Attorney General Loretta Lynch appointed her to the immigration bench in March 2016.
Her speaker biography describes her subsequent return to private practice, focusing on asylum, removal defense and other immigration matters.
Cohen Immigration Law Group offers other attorneys case strategy, document review, mock hearings and legal training. It advertises flat-fee options and payment plans, and says the former judge’s expertise can help lawyers “attract new clients, and gain a competitive edge.”
Tsankov also has a private immigration-business affiliation. Her NAWJ biography identifies her as an adviser to Manifest Law, which handles employment-based visa applications.
A judges’ association provides the platform
Lurye and Cohen also belong to the Round Table of Former Immigration Judges, according to their speaker biographies.
NAWJ’s October 2025 committee report identifies another overlap: immigration-committee chair Joan Churchill and vice chair Carol King participated in the same group, reviewing opportunities to join briefs in immigration litigation.
The American Immigration Lawyers Association honored the Round Table for “outstanding efforts in support of AILA’s advocacy agenda.” Its announcement highlighted the group’s work on asylum, detention and access to lawyers.
NAWJ’s archive confirms the May webinar aired. The available documents establish its advertised goals, rather than the number of deportations it prevented.
The government’s former prosecutors are now advising its legal opponents. Their knowledge of how removal cases are built—and how immigration judges assess them—is being offered to attorneys working to keep clients in the country.

The Justice Department announced charges Tuesday against 17 alleged fraudsters accused of stealing more than $1.3 million in Social Security benefits, including a Chicago woman convicted of keeping her dead mother’s body in a freezer and now suspected of collecting her retirement benefits.
The charges are the result of a monthlong “surge” by the DOJ’s new National Fraud Enforcement Division targeting crimes against the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) benefit programs, which the Trump administration has long suspected are a hotbed for fraud.
“The Social Security Administration’s benefits programs are meant to safeguard America’s elderly and most vulnerable — not to bankroll fraudsters,” said Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald, the DOJ’s fraud division lead.

The DHS Inspector General just dropped a new, heavily redacted report that found a 40% failure rate in the vetting of asylum claims for Afghan nationals brought to the US by the Biden administration in 2021 after the Afghanistan withdrawal, including two cases that involved potential inadmissibility due to terrorism related concerns, but were missed because of missed aliases and incomplete documentation.

- 303 missed aliases
- 23 missing security checks (failure to run names vs FBI/national security databases).
- 45 unresolved records (failure to resolve potential matches to derogatory information).
- 115 other documentation issues
A reminder, one of the Afghans brought into the U.S. via Operation Allies Welcome has been charged in the shooting of two National Guard soldiers in DC last year, which left one of them dead.

What causes the swirl in the Shrimp Nebula? Its high speed is likely. What is sure is that Sh2-188 is one of the larger planetary nebulas on the night sky, by angular size, spanning about half the diameter of the Moon. Moreover, the white-dwarf core leftover from the Sun-like star that shed its outer atmosphere is moving unusually fast through interstellar space, creating a bow shock most visible on the upper left that is similar to a boat plowing through water. Although faint, the Shrimp Nebula glows also by compressing and brightening gas on its leading edge. The featured image was taken in the light of hydrogen, sulfur, and oxygen by a backyard telescope in Krakow, Poland and then digitally adjusted to approximate the nebula's true colors.

The current caravan, he added, had gathered in Guatemala City based on misinformation and an unfamiliarity with United States politics. Apparently, a dozen or so prior deportees aiming to reenter the US convinced destitute comrades that the United States faces a revolution. That Democrats would soon control Congress and oust the Trump administration. That progressives would fling open the border and, with open arms, welcome all asylum-seekers, refugees, and migrants.
“The vermin don’t understand English, so how are they gonna know how politics work here? Even if they make it to the border, all they’ll find is misery, an army of ICE and Border Protection officers waiting,” our source said.

Governor Abbott Waives Dyed-Diesel Restrictions
September 28, 2026 | Austin, Texas | Press Release
Governor Greg Abbott today issued a statewide disaster proclamation to allow expanded use of dyed diesel on Texas roads. The proclamation also raises the allowable weight for fuel, agricultural, and timber loads, and suspends Texas Low Emission Diesel (TxLED) rules to the extent the EPA authorizes. The Governor also requested that the EPA waive federal ultra-low sulfur diesel requirements.
“Texas agriculture and freight run on diesel,” said Governor Abbott. “Record prices put both industries at risk and raise costs for every Texas family. Farmers and truckers can now use dyed diesel on Texas roads, and fuel, crop, and timber loads can move at a higher weight. These steps cut costs on the farm, on the road, and at the store."
Dyed diesel is off-road fuel marked red, typically used in agricultural operations, and sold without a motor-fuels tax. Because it is untaxed, state law ordinarily bars its use on public roadways. The Governor’s proclamation suspends state restrictions and associated penalties so operators can use such fuel on Texas roads. It does not waive the underlying fuel tax.
The proclamation also suspends state oversize and overweight permitting requirements for vehicles loaded with fuel, agricultural, or timber products and allows those loads at a gross weight of up to 95,000 pounds.
Governor Abbott asked EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin for a temporary Clean Air Act waiver of federal ultra-low sulfur diesel rules and the TxLED rules that apply in 110 Texas counties. Those standards limit which diesel can be sold, and a waiver would allow more fuel to reach Texas pumps.
