Not a single poster, sign, warning sticker to be seen. Sat in the corner of a broom cupboard looks more likely. Also take note of the watch. Imagine looking at this watch to read the time. The gathering comes as the Senate considers a bill that would impose harsher sanctions on Russia and its trading partners in response to Moscow’s continued aggression against Ukraine.
Zelensky is visiting Washington to attend the memorial service for late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), an author of the sanctions bill and a key driver of support for Ukraine in Congress. One of Graham’s final meetings was with Zelensky in Kyiv on July 10.
That bill, which has broad bipartisan support, is likely to be a subject of discussion at the meeting. President Trump has also given his blessing to the sanctions bill and requested that it include expanding sanctions on Iran and Hezbollah in the Middle East.
Smaller groups of senators have met with the Ukrainian president for months about aiding Kyiv and imposing more sanctions on Russia. A large bipartisan cohort met with Zelensky in Munich in February, and some senators have met with him on his previous visits to Washington.

The East-West pipeline transports Saudi crude 746 miles from the country's eastern oil fields to the Red Sea port of Yanbu, providing an export route that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz.
In May, China was the largest buyer of crude shipped through Yanbu, importing ~774,000 barrels per day.
This was followed by South Korea at ~645,000 barrels per day, Japan at ~452,000 barrels per day, and India at ~387,000 barrels per day.
Together, these 4 countries imported ~2.26 million barrels per day, or over half of all exports through Yanbu.
In total, more than 5 million barrels per day of Saudi crude now move through Yanbu, up from ~1-2 million barrels per day in February.
The East-West pipeline has become a key oil export route to Asia.

So my dad and I naturally expected her sample ballot to come in the mail as usual. It did not. How did the bastards know if they're not cross-checking against some list of ineligible voters? I agree with IDEMIA, it's not the software. If they can screen for the deceased, they can screen for illegals, to the extent they don't have convincing fake ID anyway.

Three-quarters of Poles have expressed a negative attitude toward Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky, according to a recent poll.
The disapproval comes amid an ongoing scandal over Kiev’s veneration of Nazi collaborators involved in the mass killing of Poles during World War II.
Zelensky sparked outrage in Poland in May by giving an elite commando unit a “heroes of UPA” award referring to the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which carried out an ethnic cleansing campaign targeting mostly Polish Catholic residents of what is now Western Ukraine, which resulted in over 100,000 deaths. He and other top officials declared that “no one will ever dictate to Ukrainians which heroes to honor.”
In the survey, conducted earlier this month among 1,000 Polish adults, 75.8% of respondents said they viewed Zelensky “mostly” or “definitely” negatively, according to media group Wirtualna Polska, which commissioned the poll and reported the results on Saturday. The latter response was selected by 41.9%.
Negative views were overwhelming among supporters of conservative opposition parties. Even among voters backing the ruling coalition of pro-EU Prime Minister Donald Tusk, however, only 45% described their attitude toward Zelensky as positive, with 41% choosing the qualified response “mostly.”
Among politically unaffiliated voters, 83% of respondents expressed a negative attitude toward Zelensky. Only 7% described their opinion as “mostly good,” while 10% declined to give an answer.
Warsaw has been one of Kiev’s most vocal supporters in its conflict with Russia under both conservative and liberal governments. Poland has also become one of the largest recipients of Ukrainian migrants among EU states since hostilities escalated in 2022, housing and providing for over a million refugees from the neighboring country.
Negative sentiment toward Ukrainians in Poland has nevertheless increased over several issues, including disruption to agricultural markets caused by Brussels-backed food exports, crime and widespread perceptions that some migrants have abused Polish hospitality.
The UPA controversy has significantly accelerated the decline in Polish support for Ukraine, with even Tusk saying Zelensky had crossed a line. According to police data, reported hate crimes targeting Ukrainians have risen 30% year-on-year amid the dispute.
Zelensky was also stripped of Poland’s highest state distinction, the Order of the White Eagle. He claimed he had been unfairly targeted and blamed the fallout on Polish electoral politics ahead of next year’s general election.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration has published a searchable database of Big Apple properties that could fall under the state’s new pied-à-terre tax, effectively doxxing thousands of wealthy New Yorkers.
The city’s Department of Finance uploaded the comprehensive list – which purports to cover all unoccupied, non-primary residences in the five boroughs worth north of $1 million – including the full names and addresses of every property owner.
The move follows a widely panned X post by the mayor in which he put wealthy residents on notice to “check your mailbox when you’re back in the five boroughs, because you’ve got mail,” a warning that notification letters were on their way.
“The best city in the world deserves the best parks, libraries, and schools in the world. That’s only possible when we all pay our fair share,” Mamdani wrote Thursday.
The socialist darling has long touted the policy enacted by Gov. Kathy Hochul and Albany Democrats to tax second homes in the city – though critics have warned it could cause property values to plummet.
Mamdani threatened to raise city property taxes by a staggering 9.5% in February unless he was allowed to “tax the rich” to cover a $12 billion budget gap that was later revised down to $5.4 billion.
City Hall estimates the pied-à-terre tax would yield $500 million per year for the Big Apple’s budget.

Florida State Board of Immigration Enforcement Announces Completion of Immigration
Enforcement Operations in Palm Beach County
Federal, state, and local law enforcement arrested 309 suspects in 36 operational hours
PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.– The Florida State Board of Immigration (SBIE) announces
the completion of directed enforcement operations under the 287(g) program administered by the
United States Department of Homeland Security. Immigration enforcement operations occurred
between July 6 -10 throughout Palm Beach County. A total of 309 subjects were arrested for
immigration violations.
The following law enforcement agencies participated in this federally led and state coordinated
effort: Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – Enforcement and Removal Operations
(ERO), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), United States Border Patrol (USBP) Customs
and Border Protection (CBP), Florida Highway Patrol’s (FHP) Criminal Alien Apprehension
Team, and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).
ICE, USBP, FHP, and PBSO were provided logistical and operational support by the Florida
National Guard and the Florida State Guard. In total, more than 100 federal, state, and county
personnel participated in the enforcement effort. The enforcement effort was coordinated by
SBIE Executive Director Anthony Coker.
“Under Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida has perfected a national model on how to implement
and execute on 287(g) immigration enforcement efforts,” said SBIE Executive Director
Anthony Coker. “The operation that just concluded in Palm Beach County demonstrates just
how effective 287(g) agreements can be when federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
join together to leverage their unique skillsets and resources and direct them at combating illegal
immigration.”
“Our nation and the State of Florida is safer when law enforcement partners work together to
remove criminals from our local communities,” said USBP Chief Jeffrey Dinise. “This
operation demonstrates the unwavering commitment from our Florida State law enforcement
partners.”
“This operation demonstrates how effective law enforcement can be when agencies work
together,” said FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass. “Shared information, clear communication,
and teamwork deliver safe, reliable results for the people of Florida.”
The following are examples of individuals arrested during the operation:
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and has a criminal history that
includes driving under the influence (DUI) and driving without a valid driver’s license. The
alien also had an active failure-to-appear warrant issued by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s
Office.
• An alien who was previously removed from the United States twice (2017 and 2018),
illegally re-entering following both removals.
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and has a criminal history that
includes DUI, battery, and hit-and-run.
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and was identified with a
confirmed TECS B10 record, classified as a Known or Suspected Terrorist (KST), and
identified as a possible Tren de Aragua (TdA) member.
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and has a criminal history that
includes narcotics possession and drug trafficking.
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and has a criminal history that
includes DUI and alcohol-related offenses.
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and has a criminal history that
includes alcohol-related offenses. The alien also had an active probation violation warrant
issued by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and has a criminal history that
includes battery and failure to appear.
• An alien who entered the United States without inspection and has a criminal history that
includes domestic violence.
• An alien who illegally re-entered the United States four times and has prior convictions for
two counts of DUI, hit-and-run, illegal re-entry, burglary, and fraud. During the operation,
the alien fled from ICE ERO officers, barricaded himself inside a business, and later
surrendered.
• An alien who illegally re-entered the United States and has prior convictions for burglary and
theft, with additional criminal history including burglary and fraud.

ABSTRACT
The utilization of gut microbiota in cancer therapy has attracted considerable attention as an emerging therapeutic frontier. In this study, we systematically evaluated the antitumor effects of nine bacterial strains isolated from the intestines of amphibians (Dryophytes japonicus and Cynops pyrrhogaster) and a reptile (Takydromus tachydromoides). Among the isolates, Ewingella americana exhibited remarkably potent cytotoxic activity with selective tumor-targeting ability characteristic of facultative anaerobic bacteria. Mechanistic investigations revealed that E. americana functions through a dual-action mechanism: direct tumor cell killing and robust activation of host immunity, leading to enhanced T cell, neutrophil, and B cell-mediated tumor attack. Treatment with E. americana significantly outperformed standard therapies, including anti-PD-L1 antibody and doxorubicin, in tumor regression studies. Importantly, comprehensive safety evaluations in murine models demonstrated that the gut-derived E. americana strain exhibits minimal pathogenicity and exerts no significant adverse effects at therapeutically effective doses, contrasting favorably with genetically modified bacterial therapeutics. Comparative analysis revealed superior therapeutic efficacy of E. americana over conventional treatments while maintaining an excellent safety profile. These findings suggest that gut microbiomes of lower vertebrates harbor numerous uncharacterized bacterial species with exceptional therapeutic potential. Our study establishes a foundation for developing naturally occurring, non-pathogenic bacterial therapeutics and underscores the critical importance of microbial biodiversity in advancing cancer treatment strategies.

Secret files show horse meat, mouse fur and metal shavings detected in Australian food
New South Wales Greens politician Abigail Boyd has used parliamentary powers to obtain documents detailing serious food safety breaches.
She says the files show horse meat has been sold as beef and lamb mince, and that metal shavings have been found inside bread products.
The documents were produced under a Standing Order 52 passed by the NSW upper house in May.
While some have been made public, the government claimed privilege over others, preventing their public release.
Ms Boyd is allowed to inspect the restricted files but cannot publicly release them or identify individual businesses.
She has challenged the government's privilege claims, triggering an independent legal review of whether they should remain secret.
She can speak about the documents only in general terms.
"There were a lot of instances of things being found in food that shouldn't be there. For example, mouse fur," she said.
"There were metal shavings found in bread products … products that were supposed to be dairy-free, that were not dairy-free, [which] were only caught by accident because somebody happened to put it together after their child or they themselves got sick, not because the company had worked it out."
