Judge in Manafort case says Mueller's aim is to hurt Trump

federal judge expressed deep skepticism Friday in the bank fraud case brought by special counsel Robert Mueller's office against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, at one point saying he believes that Mueller's motivation is to oust President Donald Trump from office.

"You don't really care about Mr. Manafort's bank fraud," District Judge T.S. Ellis said to prosecutor Michael Dreeben, at times losing his temper. Ellis said prosecutors were interested in Manafort because of his potential to provide material that would lead to Trump's "prosecution or impeachment," Ellis said.

"That's what you're really interested in," said Ellis, who was appointed by President Ronald Reagan.

He repeated his suspicion several times in the hour-long court hearing.

At one point, Ellis posed a hypothetical question, speaking as if he were the prosecutor, about why Mueller's office referred a criminal investigation about Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen to New York authorities and kept the Manafort case in Virginia.

I've been doing a bit of thinking about the paddock suicide pictures. There has been something that bothers me about them and I just figured it out.

Something always bothered me about the headshot picture of him laying there. I couldn't put my finger on it but it's the brass shell casings. They have no blood droplets on the top of them. I'm not a blood spatter expert but knowing that he fell directly backwards and the shot was from front-back, I'd expect there to be blood droplets to be blown in that direction, but none of that is visible. A high-velocity mist that came out the back along with chunks of brain would have to go somewhere. Read about "red mist." There is only blood underneath the shells from the pooling.

So if they weren't there when he pulled the trigger, how did they get there? A shell ejected from a gun spins, bounces, and rolls. This is not evident either. No blood visible from the sides or top of the shells either. No tracks in the blood from the moving shells either. The only logical explanation is that they were placed there by hand.

I'm going to look at the pictures again and do some more digging on this.
