Was the brutal killing of Mehdi Amin a matter of first-degree murder… or an act of state-sponsored terrorism?

Persian-Canadians are both outraged and frightened in light of the tragic murder of 58-year-old Mehdi Amin in Markham, Ontario last week.

Mehdi is described as a soft-spoken gentleman who had no enemies — except, perhaps, for the Iranian regime.

Mehdi was an outspoken critic of this dictatorship that continues to rule over his former homeland. And this stance might just explain why he was brutally murdered at his Markham townhouse just north of Toronto. York Police continue to investigate the murder, but, so far no one has been arrested in connection with Mehdi's death.

We recently met up with a personal friend of Mehdi, Nasser Pooli, outside the scene of the crime. Pooli says he is certain Mehdi’s murder was the handiwork of an Iranian regime operative in Canada, especially given the violent nature of the killing. Amin was brutally stabbed to death with a knife, which Pooli says is often the way critics of the regime are dispatched.

Pooli himself is a vocal critic of the Iranian regime, and says he has received numerous death threats — which explains why he never goes out in public without donning his bulletproof vest.

If the murder of Mehdi was indeed a politically motivated crime, then this is incredibly disturbing to say the least. Most Persians immigrated to Canada after the 1979 Iranian revolution; they were fleeing a country that quickly devolved into a brutal theocracy under the rule of the mullahs.

How shocking is it that such brutality has followed them across the ocean to Canada? Indeed, the U.S. Department of State notes that the Iranian regime has been responsible for as many as 360 targeted assassinations in other countries since coming to power in 1979.

Pooli and others in the Persian-Canadian community lament that they really don’t have a champion in Ottawa. Masjid Jowhari, who is a Persian-Canadian himself, is the Liberal Member of Parliament for the Richmond Hill riding. But shockingly, Jowhari is an apologist and supporter of the Iranian regime.

Project Veritas is set to sue The New York Times for defamation over reports that Veritas’ videos are “deceptive.”

James O’Keefe, Project Veritas’ founder, stated “We are not going to forget the transgressions against us. Today Project Veritas is suing The New York Times in New York’s Supreme Court - And we will win.” Project Veritas has covered various scandals regarding illegal ballot harvesting in regards to the 2020 election, providing reporting alongside evidence to substantiate its claims. James O’Keefe stated in a video released on Friday via Twitter:

Several weeks ago, The New York Times published two articles saying that our Minnesota ballot harvesting investigation was “deceptive.” The New York Times made this false claim saying our story relied solely on “unidentified sources” and showed no evidence of ballot harvesting. This is absolute hogwash, dishonest, and libelous.

The central focus of our story was this man, Liban Mohamad, who filmed himself bragging about illegally harvesting hundreds of ballots, not “unidentified” by any stretch of the imagination. And the primary name on the record sourced for this investigation was a man named Omar Jamal, a well known Somali-American community leader in Minneapolis.

But here’s the absolute crazy irony in all this The New York Times itself has published at least 10 articles quoting Jamal in matters relating to the Somali-American community so the lack of honesty and hypocrisy by The New York Times would be laughable if it weren’t so defamatory.

Our legal team demanded a retraction, in our letter dated Sept. 30 we made clear our concerns and plans.

In the statement, O’Keefe references a letter that was sent to The New York Times requesting a retraction of the claims O’Keefe maintains are defamatory.

“Dear Ms. Astor & Mr. Baquet,

The reality is your articles are so misinformed and libelous and were published with a clear intent to harm… accordingly, the only appropriate response is a wholesale retraction of the articles. Please understand that if the articles are not retracted by close of business, Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, we will sue.”

O’Keefe added that in response to the letter, The New York Times responded several days later, declining the request and has refused to issue a retraction.

Project Veritas sought representation with law firm Clare Locke, which has previously won cases against The New York Times.

“You defamed us. We are suing you. We will depose you. Will will expose you. And we will win. As you recall Project Veritas has never lost a lawsuit in our corporate history,” stated O’Keefe, who also warned USA Today, local television stations, and Facebook to make retractions or face embarrassment.

Canadian Forces forged a letter warning Canadians wolves were loose and now seeks to establish new organization to use propaganda, other techniques to influence Canadians

A letter from the Nova Scotia government sent out to residents to warn about a pack of wolves on the loose in the province was forged by Canadian military personnel as part of a propaganda training mission that went off the rails.

The test involved using a loudspeaker to generate wolf sounds. The forged letter was part of new skills being tested by the military as it hones its expertise for launching propaganda missions at home and abroad. The letter was developed by information warfare specialists with the Halifax Rifles, a reserve unit.

They not only forged the logo of the Wildlife Division of Nova Scotia’s Department of Lands and Forestry but they also attributed the letter to a real Nova Scotia government employee, even though they didn’t have permission to do so. A phone number on the letter, which residents were to call if they had concerns about the wolves, was traced by this newspaper to the work number of an Environment Canada employee, who also appears to be a Canadian Forces reservist.

Now, the Canadian Forces wants to establish a new organization that will use propaganda and other techniques to try to influence the attitudes, beliefs and behaviours of Canadians, according to documents obtained by this newspaper.

The plan comes on the heels of the Canadian Forces spending more than $1 million to train public affairs officers on behaviour modification techniques of the same sort used by the parent firm of Cambridge Analytica, as well as a controversial and bizarre propaganda training mission in which the military forged letters from the Nova Scotia government to warn the public that wolves were wandering in the province.

This is thanks to Emic who is an offshoot organization from the Cambridge Analytica scandal. Gaby van den Boerg, a Dutch citizen, was Strategic Communication Laboratories' (SCL) Director of Operators. The SCL Group was Cambridge Analytica's parent company. Emic has offices in the UK, Washington, DC, the UAE, Egypt, other countries. Its HQ is in Virginia.

The Canadian government has spent over $1M CAD with Emic for its training program, a direct descendent of SCL’s branded “Behavioural Dynamics Methodology.” It promises to help its military clients analyze and profile groups to find the best strategy to effectively influence a target audience’s behavior.

Coincidence or not, almost immediately after it was clear that the NDP’s John Horgan would remain the provinces premier, only now with a majority government, British Columbians found themselves under new COVID-19 restrictions.

Dr. Bonnie Henry, the provincial health officer, struck a nerve with many when she decided to ban private household gatherings — except for family and “your safe six.” Now some B.C. residents are unhappy with what they consider tp be government overreach.

In Victoria, the capital of the province, a group of around 80 citizens peacefully gathered in front of the Ministry of Health building, where Dr. Bonnie Henry is hard at work deciding what restrictions can be put in place.

Thanks to the passing of Bill 19 which protects her, Henry can do so with little consequence, even if these new restrictions end up causing more issues to the people than COVID-19 itself.

The Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF) has changed an existing work camp into a facility capable of handling up to 100 Canadians, should government need arise. Ominous chain-link fence with barbed wire lining the top has been erected around the perimeter of the camp.

Currently the camp sits empty, but should Justin Trudeau move forward on his plan build similar camps nationwide, the MMF could land the contract.

According to MMF official Jack Park “the camps are ready and able to take any affected person by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have them fully equipped, sanitized, and ready to go if anybody ever needs to. Our services are available."

Park also told Portage Online that the barbed wire around the site was no big deal:

We also launched a Start-Up Visa Program, which has led to successes like ApplyBoard, a start-up from Kitchener, Ont., that has helped over 100,000 students from around the world apply to colleges and universities. Founded by three brothers who came here as international students, ApplyBoard was the first business under our Start-Up Visa Program to reach “unicorn status” — meaning it is valued at over $1 billion.

Economic migration isn’t at odds with Canadian compassion and the fulfilment of our humanitarian commitments. We will continue to be the world’s leader in refugee resettlement, including by broadening pathways for refugees with the skills to hit the ground running.

As we move forward, we’ve already shown that safe and orderly immigration is possible with strong health protocols and additional resources at the border.
