Australia Goes Full Fascist: State Issues First Ankle Tracker for Quarantine Violator

This week, Australia took its burgeoning fascist police state to a new level, with officials in Western Australia now issuing electronic ankle bracelets and forced isolation in specially designated hotels to anyone it believes has violated the new raft of controversial new ‘COVID laws.’

A 33-year-old woman from Perth in Western Australia has become the first person to be fitted with the state’s new electronic monitoring bracelet, after allegedly violating new COVID quarantine rules imposed on the population.

According to police reports, the woman arrived home from New South Wales state on September 1st, and was then directed to ‘self-isolate’ in her Perth home for 14 days as part of Australia’s new mandatory quarantine system.

She was then caught by agents working with the state’s newly deputised COVID enforcement force known as the “Self-Quarantine Assurance Team.” Agents claim they were only conducting a “routine check” when they discovered two men visiting the woman at her own house. Agents then raised the alarm to central office who then promptly ordered the woman be removed from her home and placed in a specially designated hotel which is being used by the state as a makeshift isolation facility where she would be tagged and surveilled for a period of two weeks.

On top of the forced detention, the woman was issued with a punitive $1,000 AUD fine for interacting with the two men during her initial home quarantine order.

According to the official police statement:

“After careful consideration of the circumstances of the breach and the woman’s previous history, the State Emergency Coordinator formed a view that it was necessary to monitor her location during the quarantine period.”

“The monitoring device, attached to the woman’s ankle, will remain in place until the end of the woman’s quarantine period.”

The 33-year-old woman becomes the first person in Western Australia to be fitted with the new electronic monitoring tag introduced under the COVID-19 State of Emergency laws.

This latest draconian move by Australian officials has raised new fears that the country is now being turned into a full-blown police state, as officials claim the country is in the midst of a ‘pandemic’ following a supposed ‘surge’ in the number of people testing positive PCR tests for coronavirus, even though overall hospitalisations and deaths have been relatively nominal.

Debt is the Real Pandemic

According to the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) latest “Update on the Budget Outlook,” this year’s $3.3 trillion federal deficit is not just three times larger than last year: it is the largest federal deficit in history. The CBO update also predicts that the federal debt will equal 104 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) next year and will reach 108 percent of GDP by 2030.

The CBO update also shows that the Social Security, Medicare, and highway trust funds will all be bankrupt by 2031. This will put pressure on Congress to bail out the trust funds thus further increasing the debt.

This year’s spike in federal spending was caused by the multi-trillion dollar coronavirus relief/economic stimulus bills passed by Congress and signed by the president. However, spending had already increased by $937 billion from the time President Trump was sworn in until the lockdown.

Federal spending is unlikely to be reduced no matter who wins the presidential election. Former Vice President Joe Biden has proposed increasing spending on everything from Obamacare to militarism to “green” cronyism. Yet some progressives are attacking Biden for being to “stingy” in his spending proposals. Even more distressing is how few progressives are critical of Biden’s support for increasing the military budget.

With some notable exceptions, such as his infrastructure plan, President Trump is not proposing any massive new spending programs. However, he Is not promising to stop increasing, much less cut, federal spending.

Most Republicans have abandoned their Obama-era opposition to deficit spending to support President Trump’s spending increases. This repeats a pattern where Republicans oppose deficit spending under a Democrat president but decide that “deficits don’t matter” when a Republican is sitting in the Oval Office. If Biden wins in November, Republicans will likely once again discover that deficits do matter, especially if Democrats also gain control of the Senate.

Government spending forcibly takes resources from the private sector, where they are used to produce goods and services desired by consumers, and puts them in the hands of politicians and bureaucrats. This distorts the market, reducing efficiency and lowering the people’s standard of living. This, combined with pressure to monetize the federal debt, causes the Federal Reserve to pump money into the economy leading to a boom-bust business cycle.

Unless Congress begins reducing spending, the coming economic crisis will be even worse. The logical place to start cutting spending is ending all unnecessary overseas commitments, corporate welfare, and shuttling down all unconstitutional federal agencies — starting with the Department of Education.

Leaked Chinese database show company's interest in Australia's space and science sector

Australia's fledgling space sector is proving to be a hot target for Chinese snooping, with Beijing tracking the movement of top-secret equipment from a tracking station outside Canberra to NASA in the United States.

Key points:

Zhenhua Data tracked a parcel from the CSIRO's Deep Space facility outside Canberra to a NASA lab in California

The massive database also profiles some of the agency's senior staff

A parliamentary inquiry is already underway into foreign interference through social media

And Commonwealth scientists with world-leading expertise have also been targeted by a Chinese company with links to the People's Liberation Army.

A leaked database developed by Shenzhen-based data company Zhenhua Data, obtained by the ABC as part of an international consortium of media outlets, has more than 70 records that reference CSIRO's staff and classified operations.

One entry shows Zhenhua Data monitored the March 2019 transfer of "scientific equipment" from Canberra's Deep Space Communication Complex at Tidbinbilla all the way across the Pacific Ocean to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

It records the name of the German-flagged container ship that took the cargo, as well as the Los Angeles-based customs company that took possession of the package after it arrived at the Long Beach port.

"This database has got a vast amount of import-export data that is scraped up, presumably, or stolen or supplied somehow from import-export agents," Clive Hamilton from Charles Sturt University told the ABC.

"So this database is not just tracking people, but also tracking the movement of goods which might be of interest to China's intelligence services."

The database also shows Zhenhua spied on CSIRO's "transformational bioinformatics team" which is researching artificial intelligence (AI) and genomics in medicine.

An AI researcher at the Australian National University has also been profiled by the Chinese firm, and Zhenhua has also documented the CSIRO's work in the search for missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 and exploration on Mars.

"There'd be hundreds of thousands of references to CSIRO available on the public record," Professor Hamilton said.

"But this database is not indiscriminate, it's curated by people sitting there and deciding what to leave in and what to keep a little bit more of."

In the Birding California group on Facebook, bird watchers discussed the total silence that has come to their backyards, where the sounds of birds chirping and singing used to greet them in the morning.

Tragically, the ash that is falling across West Coast cities isn’t only comprised of trees and brush, but also includes the incinerated remains of birds and other creatures caught in the wildfires.

And as Deborah Pertersen of Inside Climate News reports, birds – with their highly sensitive respiratory systems that are instantly responsive to changes in environmental conditions – are acting as the global equivalent to the canary in a coal mine, at a time when seemingly the entire planet is on fire.

While much still remains unknown about how smoke impacts bird populations, doctoral candidate Andrew Stillman of the University of Connecticut notes that birds perpetually live on the edge, and extreme changes can have dire consequences for bird species.

“One thing that is important to point out is we do know high levels of smoke exposure can be harmful to birds,” Stillman told Inside Climate News. And unlike humans, birds “cannot escape like humans by going indoors.”

Veterinarians and bird scientists have also found that smoke can leave a damaging impact on the lung tissue of captive birds, leaving them susceptible to deadly respiratory infections, notes the Audubon Society.

Obama Lawyers Fund ‘Transition Integrity’ Group Which Claims to be ‘Non-Partisan’, Tied to Hunter Biden

The critical connection comes through President Obama’s former associate White House Counsel, Ian Bassin, who heads the anti-Trump litigation efforts Protect Democracy Project and United to Protect Democracy. Bassin previously headed the far-left Avaaz network, founded in turn by the leftist MoveOn.org group, as well as the Truman National Security Project, which has featured lead Joe Biden policy advisor Jake Sullivan and Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden on its board. The revelations destroy the Transition Integrity Project’s central tenet: that it is a non-partisan and independent organization that simply seeks to secure the fair results of the upcoming election. The group has previously attempted to claim that it “takes no position on how Americans should cast their votes, or on the likely winner of the upcoming election.”

TRANSITION INTEGRITY PROJECT. The Transition Integrity Project (TIP) was first accurately reported on by The National Pulse in early August, after a slew of fawning media articles about a group which performed “war games” to predict what would happen in the case of a disputed election in November. Despite claims of being non- or bi-partisan, The National Pulse exposed the group as a host of NeverTrump activists, partnered with Open Society Foundation staffers, and partnered in turn with Chinese Communist Party officials. Now, following a trail of evidence left by the TIP’s new website, The National Pulse can report that the falsely labelled “non-partisan” project is in-turn financed by a group that was founded explicitly to oppose President Trump using false allegations of Russian interference, headed by President Obama’s former Associate White House Counsel.

PROTECT DEMOCRACY PROJECT. TIP’s website revealed the group is “funded by United to Protect Democracy,” a branch of the broader Protect Democracy Project (PDP). The only other prior mention of the connection between the two groups came from former Michigan Governor turned CNN commentator Jennifer Granholm, who told anchors Jim Sciutto and Alisyn Camerota in July: “…it’s called the Transition Integrity Project. There were 100 participants and, as you say, it was bipartisan, it’s sponsored by a non-partisan entity called Protect Democracy. And, honestly, Jim, it was — it was a real eye opener to many of us. It was pretty scary.” Despite being a participant in the highly-partisan endeavor, CNN allowed Granholm to report, unchallenged, on the group wherein she falsely made the claim that Protect Democracy is “non-partisan.”

THE LINK TO OBAMA. The Protect Democracy Project’s inception coincided with Donald Trump’s first election victory. It was born in “early 2017” by “a group of former high-level executive branch officials who served in the White House Counsel’s Office and upper echelons of the Department of Justice” from the Obama administration. The group boasts of the inclusion of marginal Republicans – all “Never Trumpers” including Mona Charen who was notoriously booed off of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) stage for attacking President Trump. But these former Republicans are window dressing for the organization which features a whopping 22 former Obama administration officials amongst its ranks. PDP’s founder is Ian Bassin, President Obama’s Deputy Associate Counsel from 2009 to 2011. Prior to his stint in the White House, he was a member of the administration’s transition team and a Director of Florida Policy for President Obama’s 2008 campaign. Bassin is a prolific critic of President Trump, comparing his supporters to neo-Nazis and demanding the federal government unduly “remove Trump from office.” Indeed, PDP’s mission statement vows that President Trump “must be blunted.” Hardly a “non-partisan” approach to election integrity. In addition to Bassin, the group counts 21 more individuals who worked in the Obama administration as staff, board members, or advisors. Among the cohort are high-ranking officials such as Special Assistant to the President and Associate White House Counsel Michael Gottlieb, Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, and Senior Deputy Director of Operations and Director for Finance Beau Wright.

‘Like Communist East Germany’: UK minister chided for urging people to spy on neighbors for breaching Covid restrictions

UK Policing Minister Kit Malthouse has provoked a wave of public indignation by suggesting people report their neighbors to police if they violate new Covid restrictions. The idea was likened to East German police practices.

The minister has encouraged people throughout the UK to report anyone not complying with a new regulation that came into force overnight which has quickly become known as the ‘rule of six’. It bans social gatherings of more than six people if they’re not from the same household, and violators can face fines of between £100 and £3,200. Someone who organizes a house party could be slapped with a £10,000 penalty.

The new rules have already been met with an outcry by some Brits, and Malthouse seemingly only added fuel to the fire when he said people should “absolutely” report those breaching them to the police.

“There is obviously the non-emergency number that people can ring to report issues, if they wish to,” the minister told the BBC Radio 4’s ‘Today’ show. “If people are concerned, if they do think there’s a contravention, then that option is open to them.”

His words did not sit well with many people, though, who rushed to express their indignation online. “East Germany” quickly began trending on Twitter, with posters comparing the minister’s suggestion to the practices of Communist East Germany’s infamous security service, the Stasi, which relied on a vast network of informants and snoops to crack down on dissent.

Speaking exclusively to Townhall on a recent flight from Cleveland to Washington, D.C., Attorney General Bill Barr discussed the timing of U.S. Attorney John Durham's investigation into the FBI's Russia probe and efforts by the Department of Justice to ensure it remains non-political on the matter.

Daimler to pay $1.5bn over emissions cheat claims in US

German carmaker Daimler, which owns Mercedes-Benz, has agreed to pay $1.5bn (£1.2bn) to resolve US government claims that it designed its diesel vehicles to cheat air pollution tests. The firm was investigated for installing software to evade emissions laws in 250,000 Mercedes cars and vans. US officials said they hoped the fine would deter future misbehaviour.

Daimler has also agreed to fix the affected cars, which were sold between 2009 and 2016, at no cost to their owners. US officials said that commitment was worth about $400m. At a press conference on Monday, Andrew Wheeler, the head of the US Environmental Protection Agency, said: "The message we are sending today is clear: We will enforce the law.

"If you try to cheat the system and mislead the public, you will be caught. Those who violate public trust in pursuit of profits will forfeit both." The penalties are the latest in a wide-ranging scandal that has cast a cloud over the motor industry since 2015, when Volkswagen admitted to installing secret software on vehicles sold in the US.

The system allowed the cars to emit up to 40 times legally permitted emissions and evade detection during tests.

Volkswagen later admitted the devices affected more than 11 million vehicles globally. The company more than $20bn to resolve claims in the US alone.

But investigations soon widened to other companies, including Ford, Mitsubishi, and Nissan. In 2018, Daimler recalled more than 700,000 vehicles in Europe that had "defeat devices" installed. BMW and Porsche have also recalled cars over the issue.

Fiat Chrysler in Europe were raided this summer over the matter. The firm agreed to an estimated $800m settlement to resolve civil claims in the US in January.

Why This Is Important: It’s important because this study begs the question, how often are measles outbreaks that cause quite a stir as a result of mainstream media coverage actually a result of the MMR vaccine itself? How often are people in these measles outbreaks analyzed and tested to determine whether they have contracted a wild type measles, or a vaccine strain measles? As far as I know there are no studies that have done this accept the one listed above that analyzed a 2015 outbreak. It’s quite common that measles outbreak are largely blamed on the unvaccinated, and the well documented failure of the measles vaccine is never really mentioned nor known about by the general public or doctors who recommend them.

The failure of the measles vaccine has been well documented over the years. As far back as 1994, a paper published in JAME Internal Medicine titled “Failure to Reach the Goal of Measles Elimination: Apparent Paradox of Measles Infections in Immunized Persons” was one of many to highlight this point.

The apparent paradox is that as measles immunization rates rise to high levels in a population, measles becomes a disease of immunized persons. Because of the failure rate of the vaccine and the unique transmissibility of the measles virus, the currently available measles vaccine, used in a single-dose strategy, is unlikely to completely eliminate measles.

At the time of this study, only one measles vaccine was in circulation and as a result of its documented failure, federal health regulatory introduced a second dose requirement for children. This measure has also shown little success, there are a number of examples. The fact remains that we’ve seen measles outbreaks in highly vaccinated populations which begs the question, is the vaccine even effective? Does it even work? Are the antibodies that the vaccine provides children sufficient enough to prevent your child from contracting the measles?

LINN COUNTY, Ore. – The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after several suspicious fires sparked up Monday morning.

Sheriff Jim Yon said deputies and fire personnel responded to eight different small fires. He said the fires began early in the morning at about 2:45 a.m.

The fires were in the areas of Scott Mountain Road west of Sweet Home, Whiskey Butte Drive east of Sweet Home and Washburn Heights Drive outside of Brownsville.

All of the fires happened within a two-hour period.

Yon said a pickup truck was seen in the area of one of the fires. It’s described as a small white or silver 1990s Nissan Hard body with a black canopy. It is a vehicle of interest, and deputies are actively looking for it.

The fires are under investigation. Anyone with information should call 541-812-2260.
