Antifa Mugshots: Several Portland Rioters Released Without Bail

Portland police arrested dozens of rioters in the city over last weekend’s protests, which were dominated by Antifa activity and continued violence against police officers.

Over 50 people were arrested as a result of Saturday’s protests in the Democrat-run city. Demonstrators tossed firebombs, rocks, and commercial grade fireworks at police. Fifteen more were arrested in the protests taking place the following night, as rioters set fires and blocked roads.

Journalist Andy Ngo posted several mugshots of the most recent arrestees, many of whom were quickly released without bail.

Deidra Rose Watts, formerly known as David, was among those arrested on Sunday. Watts is reportedly “part of the #antifa press crew” and has since been released without bail.

Similarly, Gerald Kohler, 19, and Lucas Angell-Atchison, 25, were also arrested as a result of last weekend’s protests, and both were quickly released without bail as well:

Police reported 59 arrested from the protest occurring Saturday night into early Sunday morning alone.

The Portland Police Bureau has spent $6.9 million on overtime as a result of the riots in June and July alone — a stark irony, given the rioters’ calls to defund the police.

Australia Suddenly Cares About Its Journalists When They Get in Trouble in China

Human rights are only ever a concern for member states of the U.S. empire — such as the home country of the WikiLeaks founder — when they can be leveraged against nations outside the power alliance, writes Caitlin Johnstone.

The government of China has arrested and imprisoned an Australian journalist for his groundbreaking reporting which exposed Chinese war crimes. A farcical show trial is currently underway to present the illusion of justice to the world, and a UN special rapporteur attests that the journalist has been subjected to torture.

Oh sorry, did I say China? My mistake, I meant the U.S. and U.K. I get them mixed up sometimes.

No, what China did was attempt to question two reporters, Bill Birtles from the ABC and Michael Smith from the Australian Financial Review, in relation to another Australian journalist named Cheng Lei who is being held by Chinese authorities and facing a six-month detention on unknown charges.

Lei was a reporter for Chinese state media outlet CGTN, but her online profiles for the network have since been deleted.

Thanks to a prompt “diplomatic standoff” from the Australian government against Beijing, Birtles and Smith were able to take shelter in diplomatic compounds and have now been successfully returned to Sydney. Two Australian journalists appeared to be at risk of suffering the same fate as Lei, and their government immediately took action to protect their citizens, as governments are supposed to do.

There was no abandonment and proclamation of guilt against those journalists like the one Australian Labor Prime Minister Julia Gillard made against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in 2010, prior to any conviction, trial or due process of any kind. There was no gibberish about how Birtles, Smith and Lei need to “face the music” in China so that the Chinese legal process can “run its course,” like the nonsense spouted about Assange last year by Australia’s current LNP Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Canberra saw Australian journalists facing a potential injustice, and they wasted no time leaping to action.

Latest Flareup in Cold War Escalations

And the Australian commentariat, which has completely abandoned Assange amid his grueling persecution at the hands of the U.S. empire, are currently tweeting huffily about this latest flair-up in Australia’s idiotic participation in Washington’s Cold War escalations against China.

“Yikes. This means there are no journos left in China covering the country for Australian media outlets,” tweeted the ABC’s Ashlynne McGhee of Smith and Birtles’ exit.

“China gets what it wanted – it has forced out or denied visas to Australian correspondents meaning there are now no Aussie accredited journos working in China for the first time since this 70s,” tweeted Latika M Bourke of the Sydney Morning Herald.

Australian MP Penny Wong called the event “highly disturbing,” saying “the media play a vital role in fostering understanding.”

“Given the forced departure of last two Aussie journalists from China, the Australian Govt should review visas of PRC state media representatives @XHNews,” tweeted South Australia Senator Rex Patrick. “If Australian journos can’t report from China, why should CCP propagandists operate here?”

Fabricating a Pandemic – Who Could Organize It and Why

It is difficult not to notice something contrived in the currently announced “pandemic” of the Novel Covid-19 virus. Media coverage of this event has all the hallmarks of a coordinated hysterical campaign, namely:

the use of emotions instead of numbers and logic (for example videos showing allegedly overflowing hospitals and morgues, which can easily be staged or occur due to a natural situation unrelated to Covid-19)

the refusal to even mention the most obvious counter-arguments (for example, the media will never compare the number of deaths caused by flu in recent years with Covid-19 deaths)

and the complete censorship of all opinions that disagree with the mainstream media narrative, even those that come from recognised experts.

We have witnessed the publication of numerous fake stories, like the CNN report about bodies being left on the streets in Ecuador which was later debunked. We have frequently seen hysterical headlines that are not supported in any way by the contents of the article.

Finally, the national, as well as the local coverage, is always vague, never saying who exactly is ill or what they’ve got, or whether they are at home or in a hospital, and they never say how they treat the disease. Vagueness in media is a sure sign of lying.

Out of any proportion to reality, the mass media continues to drone on ominously that this is the New Normal, and that we might as well get used to it, that the world will never be as it was before the coronavirus. This is nothing more and nothing less than classic psychological warfare.

Why would a viral outbreak require “psy-ops”, that is, unless something larger was afoot?

The mainstream media as usual labels everybody who objects to their version of events a “Conspiracy Theorist.”

However, in addition to usual roster of sceptics like James Corbett or Del Bigtree, we now have many established scientists and doctors publicly questioning the version of events that is being presented by the mainstream media and governments.

These are, to name a few: Dr Sucharit Bhakdi, a professor emeritus at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and former head of the Institute for Medical Microbiology; Dr Wolfgang Wodarg, a member of PACE; Prof Dolores Cahill, Vice Chair of the IMI Scientific Committee (she has more important titles than I can fit here); Dr Peer Eifler from Austria; Dr Claus Köhnlein; Dr Scott Jensen, Minnesota Senator; Harvey A. Risch, professor of epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health.

Each one of these intelligent, articulate and trustworthy people with top credentials disagree with the official story.

All these doctors accuse media, governments and WHO of fabricating the Covid pandemic and abusing their powers by taking extreme measures in the face of a disease that has shown no signs of being any worse than a typical seasonal flu.

Some of these doctors add even more disturbing accusations, namely, that some patients died because doctors used a wrong treatment protocol, that medical authorities were directed to list ‘coronavirus’ as the cause of death even when no coronavirus analysis was made, that many deaths were caused by putting people with active Covid-19 into nursing homes and, finally, that a drug capable of saving hundreds of thousands of lives is being denied to the population.

The question is…is this campaign of fear a spontaneous overreaction to a new virus, or was it organized by somebody to achieve some malicious goals?

If we conclude that the pandemic indeed is fake, the worldwide media campaign manufactured, government officials and WHO bribed or coerced, then further questions arise. Is there anyone who has the ability to pull this off?

If yes, then why did they do it, and how?

Long before this “pandemic” we heard talk that we are living through a time of crisis, but it seems nobody ever fully identifies the crisis or what caused it. In our view, the false pandemic is closely related to this crisis and it is impossible to understand current events without a clear understanding of the crisis.

A short answer to the questions posed above: we live in a unique time, at the tail end of a European colonial project that existed for 500 years, making Europe and the US the richest, most influential part of the world and the envy of most of its inhabitants.

Court memos detail unethical, unpunished leaks in case handled by potential Biden AG Preet Bharara

Preet Bharara knew about FBI leaks two years before his office denied them. No one has been punished.

Preet Bharara is often mentioned as a possible U.S. attorney general in a Joe Biden administration after building a reputation as a hard-charging federal prosecutor and self-proclaimed ethicist teaching law school and dispensing morality on Twitter. But one of the last cases he handled as the chief federal prosecutor in New York City cuts against the grain of his carefully manicured image, exposing widespread leaking by the FBI — and knowledge of it by the Manhattan U.S. attorney's office — during the insider trading case of businessman and former Las Vegas sports gambler Billy Walters. The government's misconduct initially was hidden from the judge, and to this day remains unpunished despite the court's demands for accountability, according to legal filings reviewed by Just the News. Bharara personally had to admit the government's wrongdoing, filing under his name a lengthy report of misconduct with U.S. District Judge Kevin Castel in January 2017, shortly before President Trump fired Bharara as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. After months of telling the court in 2016 that Walters' requests for evidence of grand jury leaks was "a fishing expedition," Bharara's office had to admit that a senior FBI agent in the case, David Chaves, and others in the FBI and U.S. attorney's office had contacts with the news media and one or more may have committed a crime by leaking grand jury evidence. "It is now an incontrovertible fact that FBI leaks occurred, and that such leaks resulted in confidential law enforcement information about the Investigation being given to reporters," Bhahara's prosecutors wrote in a Jan. 4 2017 ex parte memo to the court.

While prosecutors did not admit directly to a violation of the Rule 6(e) prohibition on leaking grand jury information, they wrote "we believe that the appropriate course is for the Court to assume that a Rule 6(e) violation occurred and proceed to consider the issue of remedy." It is extremely rare for prosecutors to acknowledge grand jury violations. Nonetheless, Walters was convicted and sent to prison, from which he was recently released to home confinement due to medical concerns related to the pandemic. Today, the case stands as the latest glaring example of the failure of the FBI and DOJ to punish its own wrongdoing, which some judges who reviewed the case suggested was worse than Walters' crime. Chaves was never charged with any wrongdoing and was allowed to retire from the FBI without penalty. He declined comment through his lawyer. Peter Carr, a DOJ spokesman, declined to say whether the leaks are still being investigated. Bharara declined to comment. In the court filing and in statements he has made since he left office, Bharara has repudiated the alleged conduct of Chaves and insisted he and his office weren't involved. "The available information uniformly indicates that the USAO was not a source of confidential information provided to reporters about the Investigation. Members of the USAO, at all levels, were distressed by the leaks," Bharara's memo to the court said. In a 2017 speech after he left office, Bharara added, "It came to the court's attention and our attention that a particular FBI Agent did what he should not have done, and that came to light because we brought it to the attention of the court." "The FBI Agent is potentially subject to criminal prosecution" and "will suffer consequences as he should and he absolutely should," Bharara told the audience in Nevada.

But internal emails gathered during the investigation show Bharara and others in his office were directly aware of the leaks as early as 2014, two years before the prosecutors portrayed to the judge that the defense request for leak evidence was an unwarranted fishing expedition. "Hey George, I know you agree these leaks are outrageous and harmful," Bharara wrote in a June 1, 2014 email to the head of the FBI office in New York City, George C. Venizelos, after the U.S. attorney was alerted to a Wall Street Journal article mentioning wiretaps. "Let me know what action you want to take together. Hope your weekend was good."

Think tanks also receive money directly from corporations and from Western governments. To complicate things further, foundations make grants to each other and occasionally to private companies.

The scale of foundation and think tank activity is enormous. According to political commentator Vladimir Simonov, in 2004 there were at least 2,000 Russian non-governmental organisations that live on US grants and other forms of financial assistance.” Many millions of dollars are spent on “nurturing some ‘independent press centres’, ‘public commissions’ and ‘charity foundations’” (RIA Novosti June 1, 2004).

The diabolical horns of the foundations pop up in the most unexpected places. The World Health Organisation, which most presume is a public resource, is “generously” supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products, (which sounds like the epitome of cleanness and neutrality) is also supported by BMGF. There is little doubt that we will find foundation money in hundreds of other organisations we had presumed neutral.

We can only guess how this money will influence bureaucrats and thus put much larger amounts of taxpayer money under foundation control. As experience shows, bureaucrats and politicians are surprisingly easy to bribe. All it takes is a little additional money for travel or a few conferences in nice places. Or it might be small bonuses on top of their salaries, or an opportunity to get a well-paid and honourable position after retirement or good jobs for bureaucrat’s relatives and friends.

While it is difficult to penetrate the secretive world of the Plutocratic Influence Network, sometimes events occur that show us the degree of coordinated control inside it. What is the connection between Transparency International (TI) and the Covid fake pandemic?

Elliott Management discloses stake in Chevron target Noble Energy

Hedge fund Elliott Management Corp has acquired a stake in Noble Energy Inc, the oil and gas producer which agreed in July to be bought by Chevron Corp for $5 billion.

The stake was disclosed in a notice posted on the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's website.

The filing, dated Sept. 4, did not disclose the size of the stake of the New York-based hedge fund, led by billionaire Paul Singer, and details regarding its position in the stock. Elliott and Noble did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Chevron said in July it would buy Noble in an all-stock offer in the first major deal in the energy sector since the coronavirus crisis crushed global fuel demand and sent crude prices to historic lows. Noble shareholders are expected to vote on the deal on Oct. 2.

Noble and Elliott were granted early termination under the FTC’s Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, which is a legal requirement when an investor buys shares in a firm above a certain threshold and seeks to hold discussions regarding strategy, management changes and others.

A major Republican donor has purchased a stake in Twitter and is reportedly seeking to oust its chief executive, Jack Dorsey.

Bloomberg News first reported that Elliott Management has taken a “sizable stake” and “and plans to push for changes at the social media company, including replacing Dorsey”.

Paul Singer, the billionaire founder of Elliott Management, is a Republican mega-donor who opposed Donald Trump during the real-estate magnate’s run for the presidential nomination but has since come onside.

Peter Strzok Claims He Has Not Been Interviewed By John Durham, Says He Expects No More Indictments in Spygate Probe

Fired FBI counter-intel chief Peter Strzok on Tuesday told CBS host Tony Dokoupil that he has not been interviewed as part of John Durham’s investigation into the origins of Spygate.

In July of 2016, Peter Strzok opened a counterintel investigation into Trump’s camp dubbed “Crossfire Hurricane” on suspicions (based on no evidence) that the Russians had infiltrated Trump’s circle.

The “electronic communication” that launched Crossfire Hurricane was written by Peter Strzok and obtained by Judicial Watch as the result of a FOIA lawsuit.

First coronavirus cases detected in packed Syrian refugee camp in Jordan – UN

The United Nations agency for refugees has confirmed two coronavirus cases in the crowded Azraq camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan.

The Azraq camp is home to some 36,000 Syrians displaced by the country’s civil war. The two patients have been transferred to quarantine facilities and their neighbors have been isolated as more testing is carried out, the UNHCR said on Tuesday.

These are the first infections to be detected among Syrians living in refugee camps in Jordan, where more than 100,000 displaced Syrians are stationed. Another camp, Zaatari, houses some 76,000 people.

“This is the first confirmed case of coronavirus in refugee camps in Jordan,” the UNHCR said in a statement. “It is a reminder that everyone has been affected by this epidemic,” the agency noted. “Solutions must be addressed through international solidarity and cooperation.”

Judge tells Assange hearing will proceed without him if he continues to interrupt witnesses.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, wanted in the U.S. on espionage charges, returned this week to a London court to resume an extradition hearing to return him to the United States to face prosecution. The hearings resumed Monday after being delayed for months because of the coronavirus pandemic, and are expected to continue through October. The 49-year-old Assange faces 18 charges related to espionage and computer misuse, in connection with WikiLeaks publishing secret U.S. military documents in 2010.

Assange was arrested in London in 2019 after Ecuador revoked his asylum after seven years and forced him to leave the country's embassy in the United Kingdom. The embattled Assange has already run afoul of the court. On Tuesday, a British judge told Assange that his hearing will proceed without him if he continues to speak from the dock and interrupt witnesses, according to the Associated Press.

DAY TWO OF ASSANGE HEARING: US Tries to Narrow its Espionage Charge to Only Naming Informants; Defense Witness Crumbles Under Cross Examination

2:50 pm EDT: Day 2 of Assange’s substantial hearing has ended. Consortium News followed every moment of the hearing that went about 20 minutes over time via a video-link from Old Bailey.

The prosecution tried to narrow the Espionage Act charges down to only classified documents that mentioned the names of informants, a gambit shot down by the defense when it quoted directly from the indictment proving otherwise.

Before the defense got the chance, Julian Assange shouted from his glass cage at the back of the court that it was “nonsense” to suggest he wasn’t being prosecuted for all the classified material he published. That brought a firm warning from Magistrate Vanessa Baraitser that he would be removed from the court if he did it again.

The informants theme is one we can expect the government to continue harping on for the duration of this hearing, as they have very little else go on. James Lewis QC for the prosecution quoted from a book that alleges Assange said informants deserved to die, an assertion that has been denied by a German editor present. He is to testify next week.

The other line of attack from the prosecution is that Assange “conspired” with Chelsea Manning to “hack” government a computer to obtain classified documents. In the afternoon, the continuation of Prof. Mark Feldstein continued from Monday.

Under direct examination Feldstein made a spirited defense of Assange’s activities as being routine for journalists. The government, he said, “paints journalistic activities in a nefarious light.” He said it is “standard to ask sources for evidence and documents to back up what they say and working with them to find documents, making suggestions to what they should look for. It’s all routine.”

Feldstein also told defense attorney Mark Summers that no publisher had ever been prosecuted before for publishing, but that former presidents had tried. He told the story of Richard Nixon who wanted to prosecute columnist Jack Anderson but was told by his attorney he could not because it would violate the First Amendment.

So Nixon then hatched plans with a former CIA agent to send a false story on White House letterhead hoping he’d publish it then be exposed, but Anderson checked it out and didn’t use it, unlike many of today’s journalists who run with government hand outs.

So Nixon then tried to kill Anderson, but all the plots were foiled: poisoning his aspirins , trying to crash a car into him or stabbing him to make it look like a mugging. All this, but Nixon did not prosecute Anderson for publishing.

It was chilling testimony in a British court that added to earlier testimony about U.S. war crimes.

But on cross examination Feldstein fell apart. He allowed himself to be bullied by Lewis. It this were a prize fight, the referee would have ended it.
