As soon as government started controlling the behavior of people under the justification of COVID fear, there was a natural conclusion evident to the issues. The lady holding up the sign has it exactly correct. All of the approaches demanded by leftist governmental action framed ‘non-compliance’ with the dictates as the individual being “selfish.”

The leftist pattern of framing your demand for individual freedom and liberty as selfish, has permeated throughout the COVID narrative. The vaccination demand now carries the exact same compliance narrative as they leftists blend vaccinations with the term “herd immunity.”

The current media talking points say that if you don’t take the non-FDA approved test vaccine, you are selfishly blocking a national effort to attain this “herd immunity.”

The argument is actually quite silly. If you vaccine protects you from COVID; and if the vaccine actually does do what the government and media tell you it does; then why would you be worried about someone else’s vaccine status? If the vaccine works, presumably you are protected; my not being vaccinated does not increase your risk or pose a threat.

To give you an idea how the COVID narrative is evolving, CNN ran this segment talking about how non-vaccinated people should be treated:

Joint Chiefs Chairman says 'dramatic, bad' outcomes could await Afghan military after US withdraws

General Mark Milley said there are "a range of outcomes, a range of possibilities" for the Afghan army as U.S. and coalition forces pull out of the country.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said that there could be "really dramatic, bad possible outcomes" for the Afghan military as U.S. and coalition forces exit Afghanistan.

"Your question: The Afghan army, do they stay together and remain a cohesive fighting force or do they fall apart? I think there’s a range of scenarios here, a range of outcomes, a range of possibilities," Milley told CNN and Associated Press reporters, according to the AP. "On the one hand you get some really dramatic, bad possible outcomes. On the other hand, you get a military that stays together and a government that stays together."

Milley noted that it's not evident how the situation will ultimately play out.

"Which one of these options obtains and becomes reality at the end of the day? We frankly don’t know yet. We have to wait and see how things develop over the summer," he said.

The military official said that a "possibility" exists for the Afghan government to arrive at a negotiated political settlement with the Taliban, which would steer clear of a "massive civil war" that some people are concerned might occur.

Lubbock, Texas Votes to Ban Abortions — Dubs Itself ‘Sanctuary City For the Unborn’

Lubbock, Texas is now the largest city in America to ban abortions.

An ordinance passed on Saturday declared Lubbock a “Sanctuary City for the Unborn” and outlawed abortions within city limits. It declares abortion in city limits “at all times and at all stages of pregnancy” to be an act of murder.

There are 22 other cities in Texas and two in Nebraska that have passed similar ordinances, but Lubbock is the only one that currently has an active abortion provider. Everything Lubbock reports that Planned Parenthood opened a clinic in the city in October 2020 and began offering abortions April 15.

“Today is a victory for life and proof that the silent majority will still stand up for its Christian conservative values,” said state Rep. Dustin Burows (R), who represents the city in the state legislature, in a statement to the Texas Tribune.

The ordinance will also allow residents to sue abortion providers and anyone else who assists a person obtain abortion services.

According to unofficial election results, the ordinance passed with a large majority of 62 percent voted for it and 37 percent against.

The ordinance does allow for valid medical exceptions, including if it is done to save the life of the mother, to remove a fetus that died in a miscarriage, or to remove an ectopic pregnancy.

The ACLU has vowed to fight the city in court.

“The ACLU has a long history of challenging unconstitutional abortion bans and will continue to fight to protect the fundamental rights of the people of Lubbock,” Drucilla Tigner, Policy & Advocacy Strategist at the ACLU of Texas, said.

A spokesperson for the Lubbock Planned Parenthood has said that the clinic will remain open and follow legal restrictions as required.

Chinese Leader Xi Jinping Lays out Plan to Control the Global Internet: Leaked Documents

Chinese leader Xi Jinping personally directed the communist regime to focus its efforts to control the global internet, displacing the influential role of the United States, according to internal government documents recently obtained by The Epoch Times.

In a January 2017 speech, Xi said the “power to control the internet” had become the “new focal point of [China’s] national strategic contest,” and singled out the United States as a “rival force” standing in the way of the regime’s ambitions.

The ultimate goal was for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to control all content on the global internet, so the regime could wield what Xi described as “discourse power” over communications and discussions on the world stage.

Xi articulated a vision of “using technology to rule the internet” to achieve total control over every part of the online ecosystem—over applications, content, quality, capital, and manpower.

His remarks were made at the fourth leadership meeting of the regime’s top internet regulator, the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, in Beijing on Jan. 4, 2017, and detailed in internal documents issued by the Liaoning Provincial Government in China’s southeast.

The statements confirm efforts made by Beijing in the past few years to promote its own authoritarian version of the internet as a model for the world.

In another speech given in April 2016, detailed in an internal document by the Anshan City Government in Liaoning Province, Xi confidently proclaimed that in the “struggle” to control the internet, the CCP has transformed from playing “passive defense” to playing both “attack and defense” at the same time.

Having successfully built the world’s most sprawling and sophisticated online censorship and surveillance apparatus, known as the Great Firewall, the CCP under Xi is turning outwards, championing a Chinese internet whose values run counter to the open model advocated by the West. Rather than prioritizing the free flow of information, the CCP’s system centers on giving the state the ability to censor, spy on, and control internet data.

Countering the US

The Chinese leader acknowledged the regime lagged behind its rival the United States—the dominant player in this field—in key areas such as technology, investments, and talent.

To realize its ambitions, Xi emphasized the need to “manage internet relations with the United States,” while “making preparations for fighting a hard war” with the country in this area.

American companies should be used by the regime to reach its goal, Xi said, without elaborating on how this would be done.

Writing in the Express, Farage says he believes that President Trump will run for President again in 2024, and will win the election, buoyed by a groundswell of populist support. “My first stop was to see an old friend. President Trump looked fit and well at his Mar-a-Lago base and is very seriously considering another run next time around,” writes Farage. “Nobody can inspire conservatives in the US like he can and the Democratic Party should think carefully about underestimating him. One thing is for sure in American politics; Trump is not going away.”

Though Farage says “Republican activists and politicians alike are still downbeat and dispirited” after the questionable 2020 election, and “Allegations of electoral fraud still loom large and there is not a great deal of enthusiasm in the air,” he compared the current political landscape to that of the United Kingdom in 2016.

After British voters took to the poll on June 23, 2016 in a referendum that decisively ordered the United Kingdom to separate from the European Union, politicians slow walked the process for years. “As we now know, the establishment spent years trying to overturn the democratic will of the British people,” Farage writes. “However, after launching the Brexit Party in 2019 and winning the European elections with just six weeks of campaigning, we showed that the grassroots can fight back to victory.”

“For a while it looked as though Brexit might not happen but we seized it back and got it over the line,” Farage adds. “That is my message to Republicans on this trip. However bad Biden and the Democrats are, in some ways, their opportunity is now.” Farage notes that the Brexit victory in mid 2016 invigorated populists in the United States, and gave them confidence in President Trump’s electoral chances.

Farage recommends the same style of grassroots activism that he engaged in for 25 years with the aim of separating the United Kingdom from the European Union. He says that simple door knocking and communicating with voters “can increase the vote share of a candidate by more than 20 percent.”

“The American conservative movement can take back their country as we did by offering people a hopeful image of the future. In politics, it is not just elections we must win, but hearts and minds.”
