The Billionaire Couple Quietly Spending Millions To "Reinvent" The Democrat Party

A billionaire hedge fund couple is dumping millions into a high-stakes effort to push the Democratic Party away from its increasingly radical left flank and challenge its entrenched leadership.

Steve and Sue Mandel, wealthy Democrat donors from Greenwich, Connecticut, have committed at least $20 million to a network of political groups aimed at elevating more moderate candidates, according to a new report from The Wall Street Journal.

Their operation includes at least three organizations designed to confront the party's existing power structure and potentially reshape Democratic politics ahead of the 2028 presidential election. At the center is Majority Democrats, which is working to boost candidates who can appeal beyond the party's progressive base.

Another group, The Bench, focuses on identifying and backing rising political talent, while the Searchlight Institute is crafting more centrist policy ideas in hopes of making Democrats competitive again nationally.

The couple is taking an unusually hands-on role, closely tracking campaigns and working with Seth London, a seasoned Democrat consulanted who served a stint in the Obama White House as Legislative Assistant and Associate Director. The billionaire couple's effort has already drawn additional funding from political and media power players, including former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and James Murdoch, according to the Journal.

The effort underscores growing frustration among some deep-pocketed Democratic donors who argue the party has lost touch with ordinary voters and desperately needs an overhaul. Rather than demanding ideological purity, the Mandel-backed groups are prioritizing candidates with strong personal stories and proven ability to win elections.

However, as the Journal points out, the Mandels' political investments have not always paid off:

During this year's Senate race in Michigan, it threw its support behind Mallory McMorrow, a telegenic state senator and self-described "pragmatist" who had been a client of Smith's.

McMorrow dropped out less than a month before the primary, and Abdul El-Sayed, from the party's left, won. Democrats who didn't support El-Sayed traded blame. Proponents of The Bench criticized Washington groups for helping the other moderate candidate, Haley Stevens.

A former Stevens adviser had the opposite takeaway: The Bench had made the race more costly and complicated.

Addtionally, critics on the far left were quick to dismiss the effort.

"The Mandels' approach represents the same Democratic establishment with some new seasoning on top," said Usamah Andrabi, spokesman for the far-left Justice Democrats, told the Journal. "That's simply not what the party's voters are looking for right now."

Trump touts $1 billion paid to Camp Lejeune veterans, promises to settle the rest if Republicans win

President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that if Republicans win the House and the Senate, he would direct the Department of Justice to settle the remaining claims relating to water contamination at Camp Lejeune.

"We're also fighting for our great veterans and taking care of those veterans who brought claims related to water contamination at Camp Lejeune. It's been a big subject, actually. So, tonight, I'm pleased to announce that my administration has delivered $1 billion in cash settlements to these veterans and their families, most of whom are based here. In addition to $3.3 billion we've provided for the VA in less than two years. And if we win the House and the Senate, I am directing the Department of Justice to settle all remaining legitimate claims as soon as possible and get it off the books and get it finished. This has gone on for years," Trump said at a rally in Greenville, N.C.

He added that the money should go "to the families, not to the lawyers,” but warned that if Republicans don’t win, there wouldn’t be money to settle the remaining claims, before adding, "We will never abandon the heroes who served America."

Veterans who were present at Camp Lejeune for at least 30 days at any point between Aug. 1, 1953, and Dec. 31, 1987, are entitled to compensation payments if they have been diagnosed with certain kinds of cancer or Parkinson’s disease. For those decades, two of Camp Lejeune’s eight water supply systems were contaminated, with a third intermittently receiving contaminated water during shortages. As the DOJ announced in March, its Elective Option (EO) program is a way to avoid litigation and include payments of between $100,000 and $550,000 that are “available to qualified claimants regardless of whether they were present in a part of the base that received contaminated water.”

James O’Keefe was almost physically assaulted when he confronted the Abdul El-Sayed campaign staffer who revealed El-Sayed is taking illegal foreign donations.

The O’Keefe Media Group on Monday released an undercover video of a campaign official for Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed admitting that El-Sayed knowingly receives illegal donations from overseas.

Foreign nationals are prohibited from making campaign contributions.

“You know, he [Abdul El Sayed] has people from overseas that donate to him,” Abdul Beckwith, Regional Field Organizer for Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign, said.

When asked whether overseas donations were prohibited, Beckwith responded, “No, it is not allowed,” before describing a hypothetical arrangement in which overseas money passes through a family member.

Beckwith said, “And then people overseas give money to him. And then he gives money to you. It’s that type of thing.”

He then added, “Everybody does it!”

Later Monday, El-Sayed’s camp said Beckwith has never been employed by the Abdul for Senate campaign.

Things got heated when James O’Keefe confronted Beckwith.

“I don’t give a f*ck who you are, bro!” Beckwith said to James O’Keefe.

Denver Archbishop James Golka has banned one of America’s best-known traditional Catholic exorcists from public speaking and interviews for a year.

The Archdiocese of Denver announced Sunday that Golka met with Father Chad Ripperger to discuss his ministry and his religious community, the Society of the Most Sorrowful Mother. The archdiocese calls the ban a one-year “fast” from public speaking and interviews.

Ripperger “agreed,” Golka stated. The archbishop and priest will review the yearlong ban after one year.

Denver offered no public account of what prompted Golka’s request. Its statement did not identify any alleged misconduct, call the move disciplinary, or say whether the pause changes Ripperger’s other priestly work. But its immediate effect is plain: a priest whose talks and interviews have reached millions will be absent from public platforms for a year.

Ripperger founded the Society of the Most Sorrowful Mother in 2012. The community centers its work on spiritual warfare and traditional Catholic liturgy, the National Catholic Register reported.

The Register reported that he has canceled several scheduled appearances, including a LifeSiteNews gala planned for April 2027.

The faithful received a yearlong public silence from a priest known for confronting spiritual warfare — and no public reason why.

A man residing in south Minneapolis has been charged in Hennepin County District Court with a felony count of threats of violence after making threats to bomb the Mall of America and Minneapolis schools, charges say.

The criminal complaint states:

On Oct. 11, Niman Ali Ahmed, 24, called 911 and stated that he made multiple bombs at home and he was planning on bombing the Mall of America and different schools in Minneapolis the following day.

Ahmed said he was planning the acts “to get payback for the killing of George Floyd.” Ahmed claimed he was part of a group that was going to carry out the acts and that he was also part of a group chat with people who were planning terrorist attacks at the Mall of America. Ahmed said he had demons and they were telling him to do things.

Ahmed also stated he was going to travel to Washington, D.C. to assassinate the president and that the United States has been an enemy of his since he was a child. Ahmed claimed to be a part of a terrorist group in Ethiopia as a child.

Police were able to determine that the calls were coming from a residence on East 22nd Street, which is listed as Ahmed’s address in court documents.

Police contacted Ahmed by phone, and he initially said he wasn’t home and “you will not find us.” Ahmed eventually hung up the phone and police couldn’t contact him again but reached a relative of Ahmed’s who said he was inside the home.

Ahmed eventually exited the residence and was detained. When asked about the threats, Ahmed told police that his friend said he should call 911 and make the threats.

A search warrant was subsequently executed where digital electronics were found but no explosives.

Ahmed made his first court appearance on Friday and requested a language interpreter. Ahmed was also granted a public defender and unconditional bail was set at $1 million.

Judge Mark Kappelhoff ordered a psychological competency evaluation to determine Ahmed’s capacity to participate in the legal proceedings.

Ahmed remains in custody, and his next hearing is scheduled for Nov. 17 where the results of the competency evaluation are expected to be presented.

Earlier this month, federal authorities charged 18-year-old Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud after the FBI said he was plotting a terrorist attack at Mall of America to kill non-Muslims in support of ISIS.

Many are entered Britain as part of the Boriswave, a mass influx engineered by the former Conservative government following the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 200,000 legal migrants have reportedly received indefinite leave to remain (ILR) despite tougher settlement requirements being promised last year. Around 5,000 migrants are reportedly securing permanent settlement every week under existing arrangements, even as government ministers debate extending the standard qualifying period from five to ten years.The Conservatives created the conditions for the surge in settlement by dramatically relaxing controls on legal immigration, disregarding their repeated pledges to substantially reduce it. Labour, despite promising to tighten the rules, has failed to implement reforms that could prevent hundreds of thousands of Boriswave arrivals from becoming de facto permanent residents.

Kyle Francis Kennedy, 42, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026 at her home in Westwood, Massachusetts. Born in Washington, DC, she spent most of her life in Massachusetts, where she built a career devoted to early childhood education. Blessed with a formidable intellect, dry wit, and beauty, she will be remembered for her devotion to her children Conor, Josephine, and Declan, and her support for educational reform for disadvantaged children and for people living with disabilities.

Kyle spent most of her early life in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Later, she attended high school at Milton Academy, where she excelled academically, earning awards for her Latin scholarship. She went on to Georgetown University in Washington, DC, majoring in history. A semester abroad in Florence, Italy left a lasting mark. She returned home with a deep love of Tuscan Renaissance art and a lifelong talent for making pasta dishes from scratch. After Georgetown, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Early education from Pace University, as well as a Master of Education in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

After college, Kyle joined Teach for America and taught for two years in the New York City public school system, an experience that launched a career in education. She went on to become a passionate advocate for more equitable elementary education and charter schooling, later working with technology companies focused on reforming and improving school curricula, and as a coach for educators working with young students.

Kyle was naturally fast and competitive. Throughout her life she could frequently be seen outrunning her peers on playgrounds, soccer pitches, and lacrosse fields, while in quieter moments tenaciously pursuing all out victory in trivial pursuit or card games. As an adult, she developed a passion for long-distance running and in 2019 completed the Boston Marathon in a driving rainstorm, beating her own father's time by twenty minutes.

Kyle loved art, animals, and travel. She can be seen in photos bundled head to toe in a down jacket inside a Scandinavian ice cave, enjoying the sun on the beaches of Cape Cod and Nantucket, and smiling beside a band of mountain gorillas in Uganda.

In 2020, Kyle suffered a severe spinal cord injury that resulted in long term paralysis, disability, and other medical challenges. The years that followed brought struggles but Kyle fought to maintain her dry wit and determination through it all, trying to be the best possible mother to her sons and caring for her two beloved, ill-behaved Wheaten terriers. She also began to advocate for people living with disabilities, including testifying at the Massachusetts state house in a hearing on discrimination in disabled health care.

Kyle is predeceased by her father, Michael, who died in 1997, and by her infant daughter, Josie — Conor's twin sister — who passed away after a few short days of life and whose memory Kyle held close for the rest of hers.

She is survived by her sons, Conor (12) and Declan (10); her former husband, Liam; her mother, Victoria; her brother Michael and his wife Mary, and their children, McKie and Quinn; and her sister, Rory, and her husband, David, and their children, Jack and Caleb.

Russia has released a retired American teacher who had been imprisoned on charges of fighting as a mercenary in Ukraine, US envoy Steve Witkoff said Wednesday at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.

Stephen Hubbard, of Michigan, was sentenced after a closed trial in 2024 to nearly seven years in prison.

Oz's endeavors came the same day Donald Trump and JD Vance announced a $25 million program to encourage the public to blow the whistle on suspected fraud in government.

The former TV host and current Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator delivered letters of warning to senior centers in Flushing, Queens as part of a multi-agency federal probe.

Oz took part in two of the over 80 visits that took place, many of which included arrests, in the Big Apple Tuesday as he challenged employees about their billing records and how they were spending taxpayer funds.

He told Fox News Digital that 'the whole experience was suspicious' at his trips to Kent Senior Care and Evergreen Adult Day Care – and even said the 'Chinese mafia' may be paying people to help facilitate the scam.

'People were just walking in there without signing anything and then after I showed up and he saw what we were doing with my team, he started collecting these documents to be signed.'

At Kent, Oz spoke to the director and said: 'The bills are much higher than they should be. The billing is for more people. It doesn't look very crowded here.'

The unnamed director claimed that their visit at 8:30am came at an hour when patients had yet to start arriving at the 70 person capacity facility.

'The bills we're getting are as though it's completely full all the time,' Oz snapped back and pointed out that the warning letter came 'because we don't believe you.

The director promised that Kent only bills for seniors who actually attend and requires signed attendance slips.

However, Oz continued to hammer down on inconsistencies, like patients who only attended two or three days a week when the center bills for five days, or specialized transportation for those in wheelchairs.

'I don't see any wheelchairs here,' he said.

The director promised that the facility only billed for in-person attendance and that some came more often than others.

Some questioned whether a group of 200 ex-USAID officials could actually pull off their ambitions to rewrite the Constitution.

Here, they describe exactly how it works. They aren't working alone.

The videos all come from Renew to Thrive (R2T) group and associates. Danielle Reiff and Paul Zeitz play key roles within R2T.

R2T sits inside a much, much larger umbrella called United Democracy Alliance (UDA), which is an extremely hush-hush control plane of leaders from major "blocking" NGOs such as 50501 and Indivisible fulfilling various functions. UDA decides when protests get deployed, timelines, how to respond, all that.

R2T's role within UDA is concerned with "the day after tomorrow" - in other words, their function is to conceive what a rewritten American government will look like after the rest of UDA fulfills its purpose. As will be shown, Erica Chenoworth is credited with conceiving UDA in the first place under the Horizons "Big Tent" initiative.

Note here that National Security Leaders for America (NSL4A) is credited for operationalizing UDA. NSL4A is a group of 1,600 ex-military, intelligence, and diplomatic officials. They are led by Rear Admiral Michael E. Smith (Ret). NSL4A also played a key role in the "illegal orders" messaging which targeted Pete Hegseth. Zeitz is also a member of NSL4A.

It must be emphasized that the choice of a military-oriented organization to coordinate NGOs across domestic protests is an interesting one all in itself - especially in an umbrella conceived by a regime change expert like Chenoworth.

You will have a hard time finding any mentions of UDA in the public. They are extremely hush-hush and selective who they talk to.

Mike Smith himself makes a personal appearance in other calls, coordinating Insurrection Act exercises and roleplaying with R2G as one of the participants.

As the audio transcript shows, they have outlined a sequence of "redlines" in which case the federal government should be declared illegitimate. Invoking the Insurrection Act against "peaceful" protesters is one of the most discussed redlines. I will post the illegitimate criteria below, but basically, almost any effective pushback against NGOs is a measure of illegitimacy according to them.

Important to understand:

The audio shows they shopped this idea around governors, but the reality is that governors do not have to explicitly sign on to the pact to play their role in the coup. All they have to do is refuse troops in their state and let UDA / R2G do the work of dissolving the federal government.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held three-hour talks with US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg to discuss ending the Ukraine conflict and restoring US-Russia relations. Witkoff’s trip comes after Moscow and Washington reached a diesel deal and amid an escalating feud between Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

The talks began at Constantine Palace – around 20 km southwest of St. Petersburg – on Wednesday morning, with Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov and Russian investment envoy Kirill Dmitriev also attending.

Witkoff had traveled to St. Petersburg from Oslo, where on Tuesday he met Zelensky and the leaders of Norway and Finland, alongside European and NATO officials. Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, who had joined the Oslo talks remotely, also participated in the St. Petersburg discussions via video link.

Opening the meeting, Putin thanked Trump for his efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict and asked Witkoff to brief him on the outcome of the Oslo negotiations. According to an unnamed US official cited by Reuters, the Oslo discussions covered security guarantees for Ukraine, a postwar economic plan, and a broader European security architecture.

Witkoff said he wanted to present documents outlining new peace proposals and asked Putin to consider resuming trilateral negotiations involving Russia, Ukraine, and the US, potentially with technical teams working through unresolved issues.

The envoy also thanked Putin for the release of US Air Force veteran Stephen Hubbard, who had been convicted in Russia on charges of fighting for Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the move was made on “humanitarian grounds.”

The talks revolved around Russia-US economic cooperation, with Putin saying the recent agreement between the two countries on diesel supplies had already caused global diesel prices to drop by 5-6%. He announced that Russia is preparing several shipments to the US, with the first tanker carrying 40,000 tons expected to depart within two or three days.

Following the talks, Peskov called the meeting “productive,” but added that there have been no agreements on a further round of negotiations in the near future.

Witkoff’s visit was marred by a drone alert south of St. Petersburg as the talks were about to start. Leningrad Region Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko said the warning was issued in Luga District, around 125 km south of the Constantine Palace.

The alert followed Sunday’s unprecedented Ukrainian drone attack on St. Petersburg and the surrounding Leningrad Region. According to the Russian authorities, the strikes killed one person and injured 15, damaged residential buildings, and sparked fires at an oil terminal, oil depot, and industrial facilities.

Witkoff’s visit comes after Trump’s October 9 agreement with Putin to ease sanctions on Russian diesel sales, which the US leader said would help relieve high fuel prices for American consumers. Zelensky subsequently condemned the agreement as a “weak decision.”

Trump has also repeatedly demanded that Zelensky halt attacks on Russian oil refineries, something he has categorically refused to do. As tensions escalated, Trump suggested that Zelensky – whose presidential term expired more than two years ago – should be replaced, while multiple outlets reported that Ukrainian troops were not receiving advance warnings on Russian ballistic missile strikes and were encountering issues with Starlink communications, which are crucial for drone control. The US denied it had suspended intelligence-sharing.

California’s federal cash crunch just got uglier.

The Trump administration is withholding another $1.2 billion in Medicaid reimbursements, putting fresh heat on a state whose personal care spending has ballooned at a pace federal officials say they can’t explain.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, who heads the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, announced the latest move after questioning the growth of California’s program for older adults and people with disabilities. The numbers have Washington demanding answers, and California has yet to receive funding.

“California has been growing that program 24% in the last three years. That is twice the rate of every other state average in the country,” Oz said Tuesday from the White House.

“Impossible for us to understand how that could be so we are taking major action in California,” he added.

Oz also questioned whether California is asking taxpayers to bankroll services that families would ordinarily handle themselves.

“Many of you would carry groceries upstairs for your mom for free, but in California, they will pay you a lot of money for it,” he said.

He added in a post on X: “When the numbers don’t add up, we don’t look the other way.”

The latest freeze lands on a state already facing a separate $1.3 billion withholding announced in May over suspected fraud in hospice and in-home care programs. That puts $2.5 billion in federal Medicaid reimbursements in dispute, a hefty bill for California as the administration scrutinizes how the state spends public money.

A firm that has published widely circulated midterm political polls has acknowledged that its numbers were “fabricated”and claimed they were part of an experiment that duped some media outlets.

Wedgewood Polls, the bogus firm,described itself in a press release Tuesday as an “experimental project to demonstrate the vulnerabilities, lack of oversight, and overall low barrier to entry in the modern political polling industry.”

The group boasted that despite having no “real data behind the vast majority of our releases, Wedgewood polling was added to major polling aggregators, including The New York Times, FiftyPlusOne, and VoteHub, and treated as a legitimate data source.”

They denied nefarious intentions, saying the project “was never intended to sway an election or permanently mislead the public; it was designed as a wake-up call.”

Wedgewood published several widely circulated polls, mostly on Senate races. Some had surprising results, such as an Oct. 14 Mississippi Senate race survey purporting to show the Republican incumbent leading by just four points.

FiftyPlusOne, a polling aggregator, claimed credit on Tuesday for forcing Wedgewood to acknowledge the hoax.

The aggregator said Wedgewood provided a fraudulent methodology statement and described its leadership and funding sources. The aggregator said this helped Wedgewood appear legitimate and be included in the model.

“This was sufficient information for us to aggregate the surveys at the time,” said FiftyPlusOne. “When we are provided information that is similar to information we have received in the past from real polling firms, it is impossible to know at the time that it is manufactured.”

FiftyPlusOne contacted Wedgewood about suspicious discrepancies in its polling shortly before Wedgewood released the public statement acknowledging the polling was false.

Mallory McMorrow, a Michigan Democrat who dropped out of her party’s Senate primary this June amid a three-way race with Rep. Haley Stevens and now-nominee Abdul El-Sayed, said a Wedgewood poll directly contributed to her campaign’s collapse.

The candidate said the poll led to a decline in donations, lowered morale among staffers, and fed a negative news cycle.

Ms. McMorrow said the development shows Democrats should “blow up the system with campaign finance and transparency reforms.”

It is not the first polling hoax of the cycle.

In August, Median Strategies admitted its polls were fake, and justified them as a “short-term social experiment” on the “political information ecosystem.”

The group published false polling showing commanding leads for Mayor Karen Bass in the Los Angeles mayoral primary, as well as for Democrat Francesca Hong in the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary.

IC 59 and IC 63, the original Ghosts of Cassiopeia, haunt the region near multi-star system γ Cassiopeia. Energetic light from γ Cassiopeia causes the hydrogen gas in IC 59 and 63 to glow red. Their dust reflects and scatters some blue-ish white starlight. Newly discovered Objects 1, 2, and 3 appear as blue phantoms, revealing the presence of ionized oxygen. But ionized by what? Like at the bow of a speeding boat, γ Cassiopeia may be piling up material as the system moves through interstellar gas and dust. It follows that Object 3 may be the compressed and heated oxygen of that bow shock. Object 1 could be a planetary nebula if a central white dwarf is identified. The origins of these astronomical apparitions remain a mystery to be solved.

BOSTON – Six individuals in Massachusetts have been charged with allegedly arranging sham marriages to fraudulently obtain immigration status for illegal aliens. The organization’s leader has allegedly been orchestrating sham marriages for illegal aliens to enable them to fraudulently obtain immigration status for over 10 years and has made millions of dollars doing so.

The following individuals have been charged with conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; harboring illegal aliens; conspiracy to commit marriage fraud; and marriage fraud:

Jennifer Gonzalez, 43, of Fall River, Mass.;

Erica Daniels, 29, of Fall River, Mass.;

Chreise Alejandro, 39), of Fall River, Mass.;

Amara Pugh, 31, of Fall River, Mass.;

Jessica Tavares, 31, of Attleboro, Mass.; and

Jaylin Hill, 26, of Fall River, Mass.

Gonzalez, Daniels, Alejandro, Pugh and Tavares were arrested this morning. Hill is currently serving a state prison sentence for a firearms offense. Initial appearances are scheduled for today as follows: Hill at 12:45 p.m.; Daniels and Pugh at 2 p.m.; Alejandro and Tavares at 2:45 p.m.; and Gonzalez at 3:15 p.m.

According to court documents, Gonzalez ran a business in which illegal aliens paid her to arrange sham marriages for them so that they could fraudulently obtain immigration status. Gonzalez in turn paid Daniels, Alejandro, Tavares and Hill (all U.S. citizens), to engage in one or more marriages to illegal aliens so that those “customers” could submit fraudulent documents to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to obtain legal immigration status. Pugh, also a U.S. citizen, worked as the business’s “secretary.”

Gonzalez’s operation allegedly averages approximately 18 to 20 illegal marriages per year, typically charging between $38,000 to $40,000 per sham marriage. It is alleged that Gonzalez has earned hundreds of thousands of dollars per year over at least the last 10 years.

During the investigation, Gonzalez allegedly stated that she uses the proceeds of the marriage fraud scheme to buy businesses and real estate in the Dominican Republic. It is alleged that Gonzalez instructed her illegal alien customers about how to establish the appearance of a legitimate marriage, including setting up life insurance policies and joint bank accounts and taking selfie-style pictures as a married couple. Gonzalez allegedly told her illegal alien customers that it would take three to four months to prepare sufficient documentation of the sham marriage to use to apply for immigration status and required her customers to sign “contracts” to pay for her services.

According to court documents, Gonzalez was captured on video and audio recordings during the investigation directing the printing and signing of a disguised “loan” contract and accepting a $3,000 cash down payment for arranging a sham marriage. Gonzalez allegedly told the customer that the contract intentionally avoided mentioning the spouse because doing so would be “incriminating,” and that she designed the documents to conceal the fraudulent purpose. It is further alleged that customers commonly made ongoing $500 monthly payments to their assigned “spouse” or someone close to the spouse as part of maintaining the sham marriage.

Gonzalez also allegedly paid Alejandro, Tavares and Hill to enter into sham marriages with illegal alien customers. The defendants took photographs of the “weddings” and social outings with their sham spouses to use in fraudulently applying for immigration status.

Gonzalez is also captured on video and audio recordings explaining that she allegedly invested her earnings on real estate and business investments in the Dominican Republic, which she repeatedly referred to as “her country.”

Below are excerpts from video and audio recordings allegedly between Gonzalez and a cooperating witness:

“But also that’s when Trump was becoming a president . . ., and there was a lot of immigration powers ….under the new administration, immigration laws/proceedings are stricter,” “….we’re in a new government, things are a little bit more difficult….”

“…I believe that you you can okay, because this state is a sanctuary, like Trump doesn't like this state because the government from here, the state defends us very much.”

“Massachusetts is the best place for you to be. That is a fact.”

“You get health insurance. Um, you get a lot of help as an immigrant here.”

According to court documents, multiple defendants lied on Massachusetts SNAP benefit applications by falsely claiming to have never been married, even while filing federal immigration petitions on behalf of their sham spouses. Gonzalez allegedly spent over $120,000 that she received in SNAP benefits while she was running the sham marriage ring and buying property in the Dominican Republic.

This is an ongoing investigation.

The charges of harboring illegal aliens and conspiracy to do the same, each provide for a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. The charges of marriage fraud and conspiracy to do the same each provide for a sentence of up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Jeffrey Grimming, Acting Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England; and Shawn Saucier, Northeast Regional Chief of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services made the announcement today. Valuable assistance was provided by the Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General; the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Office of Inspector General, Northeast Region; the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Inspector General; and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service’s Boston Division. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Michael Crowley and Kaitlin J. Brown of the Organized Crime & Gang Unit are prosecuting the case.

The details contained in the charging document are allegations. The defendants are presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in the court of law.

BACKGROUND

3. In summer 2026, HSI learned of an ongoing conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens in

the United States through marriage fraud. Investigators learned that an operation led by Jennifer

GONZALEZ, a United States citizen, had been responsible for a multi-year conspiracy in which

GONZALEZ arranged for American citizens to fraudulently marry illegal aliens for the purpose

of illegally obtaining United Statesimmigration benefits for the illegal aliens, including Permanent

Resident cards (also known as “green cards”) and potential U.S. citizenship.

4. HSI, USCIS, the U.S. Department of Labor - Office of Inspector General, the

United States Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban

Development, and the United States Postal Inspection Service have been involved in a joint

investigation of GONZALEZ and her co-conspirators. Per the ongoing investigation,

GONZALEZ is the leader of a large marriage fraud conspiracy involved in fraudulently obtaining

United States immigration benefits for illegal aliens (both men and women) in Massachusetts.

During the investigation, in a recorded meeting, GONZALEZ told a cooperating witness (“CW-

1”) that she and her group had obtained hundreds of green cards (U.S. Permanent Resident cards)

for illegal aliens in Massachusetts. GONZALEZ said that she charged between $38,000 and

$40,000 per illegal alien to arrange for the sham marriages in Massachusetts, while also securing

additional payments for her fellow conspirators who participated in the sham marriages. Based on

the investigation, GONZALEZ’s conspiracy has been ongoing for approximately twelve years,

and the operation averages approximately 18 to 20 illegal marriages per year. Based on her own

admissions, and other financial evidence, GONZALEZ has been making hundreds of thousands of

dollars a year over at least the last ten years. GONZALEZ, who lives in Fall River, Massachusetts,

has said in recorded conversations that she has purchased property and other assets for herself and

Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Amy Acton has released a new ad in response to Republican Vivek Ramaswamy’s advertisement, which stars Acton’s mother warning Ohio voters not to vote for her.

The rebuttal to Ramaswamy and Acton’s mother, Donna Arthur, features Acton’s brother claiming that the two were abused as children and accusing Ramaswamy of capitalizing on their woes.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Tuesday, Donna Arthur came out swinging in a Vivek Ramaswamy campaign ad, slamming her daughter as a “liar” and a sick person who “needs help.”

“I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent — it’s not easy for a mother to say this, but Amy has a serious problem,” Arthur said, adding that “she lies about her past,” and “she’s lied her entire life.”

“Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.”

Acton’s campaign responded yesterday morning with a statement from Acton’s brother, Philip Stearns, blasting Ramaswamy and claiming that her mother was complicit in alleged sexual abuse she faced from her stepfather as a child. They baselessly accused Ramaswamy of an “attempt to turn the sexual abuse Amy endured at twelve years old from our birth mother’s husband into a political talking point.”

Acton's campaign also released a video ad on Tuesday evening, with Stearns again accusing Ramaswamy of turning alleged childhood abuse into a "talking point." Notably, however, Ramaswamy's ad made no mention of abuse and only featured comments from the woman who raised Acton and previously accused her of exaggerating or inventing stories about her childhood back in 2020.

Ramaswamy responded to the controversy surrounding his ad during an interview on Tuesday, confirming that it came from his campaign but that Acton's mother "was not compensated."

He further slammed Acton for refusing to debate him and instead "spreading some defamatory, disparaging lies about me and my family."

"The thing that I want to say is that I would love for this race and this election to be about the substantive issues that impact Ohioans, and unfortunately, Amy Acton has been hiding from those issues. She won't debate me, she doesn't allow cameras at her events, and I think her record of continuously, certainly during this campaign, I would say spreading some defamatory, disparaging lies about me and my family, that does deserve to be scrutinized," Ramaswamy said.

"I've never met Amy Acton, which is a regret. I wish I'd met at least my opponent. I've also never met her mother. She was not compensated. I asked my team that question because we've got the question. She was not compensated."

California’s Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) oversees the money, dividing it between helping homeowners rebuild and financing affordable rental housing in fire-ravaged communities.

Of the $222.4 million earmarked for homeowners, just $38 million had been spent rebuilding 110 homes by the end of 2023, according to state records. The Camp Fire alone destroyed 14,000 homes.

Destined for Mars and beyond, NASA’s Space Reactor-1 (SR-1) Freedom will be humanity’s first fission-powered spacecraft to travel outside Earth’s orbit.

Announced during NASA’s “Ignition” event, this mission will demonstrate nuclear electric propulsion in deep space, and progress is underway on its key element: the nuclear power module.

To expedite development of the spacecraft, NASA and its partners have mutually agreed to key contract actions that will advance the SR‑1 Freedom mission.

“These contract actions not only reduce technical risk and help us maintain momentum toward our 2028 launch, but they also strengthen collaboration across our partners,” said Steve Sinacore, SR-1 Freedom program director.

“These actions keep SR‑1 Freedom on track and ensure we’re building the strongest possible foundation for NASA’s first fission‑powered voyage beyond Earth orbit while developing technology extensible to a vibrant space nuclear future.”

Sierra Lobo Inc. will provide the nuclear power module’s closed Brayton cycle power conversion system, which converts thermal energy from its fission reactor into electrical power needed for SR-1 Freedom’s nuclear electric propulsion demonstration.

The work will be conducted under the Space Flight Systems Development and Operations Contract III, awarded in 2024, to support spaceflight hardware design, development, testing, and operations at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

The power conversion system will be integrated with the fission reactor, which is being designed and developed by the Department of Energy (DOE)’s Idaho National Laboratory to complete the nuclear power module.

NASA and DOE incorporate thorough safety standards throughout the design and development of the SR-1 Freedom spacecraft, including interagency safety reviews, continuous oversight by a NASA chief safety officer, regulatory compliance, and a rigorous safety design process focusing on hazards, failure tolerance, and nuclear safety. In addition, the nuclear reactor portion of SR-1 Freedom will remain inactive until the spacecraft leaves Earth orbit.

Launching in late 2028, SR‑1 Freedom will deliver the SkyFall science mission, a team of three Mars helicopters evolved from the Ingenuity design, to collect scientific data, demonstrate exploration zones, and identify potential water sources.

The mission will pave the way for deep space exploration and next‑generation fission-powered systems designed to keep NASA’s Moon Base operating through periods of darkness and in locations where solar power alone is not sufficient.

CEO of Tesla and SpaceX says the companies are exploring forming a single entity

Elon Musk just inched closer to rolling his biggest ventures into a single tech colossus.

On a SpaceX earnings call Tuesday, Musk said Tesla and SpaceX have set up special committees of independent directors to study a possible merger, which he personally supports but says he's recused from negotiating, reports the New York Times.

The founder, CEO, and largest shareholder of both companies says he sees "a lot of merit" in the merger, notes Reuters, but he will not take part in two special committees to study the issue, or a Tesla shareholder vote.

Based on current market values, the combined company could be worth roughly $3.5 trillion.

Backers see a unified empire tying together rockets, satellites, AI, robots, and cars, with analysts touting advantages like Tesla machines linked via Starlink to xAI data centers.

The two companies have already begun working together on chips and AI, notes Axios. Critics, including some lawmakers, warn the deal would further concentrate power in the hands of the world's richest person.

SpaceX shares jumped about 8% in premarket trading on the news, with Tesla rising about 1%.

Musk cautioned there's no agreement yet—and no guarantee that there will be one, though Reuters notes that analysts see a deal as inevitable and markets expect one by year's end.

Seven young males have been charged over the savage killing of a young African man who was allegedly hacked to death by machete-wielding thugs in Melbourne last year.

Police allege Sudanese man Lino Atem, 24, was at Haines Drive Reserve in Wyndham Vale at about 11.30pm on January 10 last year with two friends, both 27, when they were confronted by a group of about 12 youths who arrived in four cars.

Mr Atem was treated at the scene after allegedly being stabbed and slashed, but could not be saved. His friends, who were also from Wyndham Vale, were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Russia is ready to resume three-way negotiations with the US and Ukraine to discuss security arrangements for when the conflict has ended, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov has said.

The announcement followed nearly three hours of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoffat Constantine Palace in St. Petersburg on Wednesday. Jared Kushner joined by video link after illness prevented him from traveling.

Ushakov said Putin told Witkoff that Moscow was “in principle, ready to resume” trilateral negotiations in mid-November,with the main topic being a post-conflict security system for Russia and Ukraine. Witkoff indicated that Trump would welcome the proposal, the aide added.

The presidential aide noted that earlier attempts to restart trilateral talks were derailed by Kiev having carried out massive attacks on Moscow and other cities during Russia’s recent parliamentary elections. Polling stations were targeted on the main voting day, with election commission personnel killed.

However, the situation has since been “re-evaluated, taking into account the signals received from the Americans,” Ushakov said, adding that Putin had praised the mediation efforts of Trump, his administration, and special representatives in seeking mutually acceptable solutions.

The Russian president also presented an “objective picture of the situation along the line of contact, where Russian troops hold complete strategic initiative,” and noted that Moscow’s forces are conducting a “relentless offensive in all key areas” and effectively destroying military-industrial, energy, and logistics facilities in Ukraine.

Beyond Ukraine, the participants discussed the October diesel agreement, under which Washington eased sanctions on Russian fuel exports. Both sides said the deal served their interests and would help stabilize global fuel markets. Other joint economic projects are also approaching implementation, Ushakov added.

Russia, Ukraine and the US last held talks in Geneva in February, following two rounds in Abu Dhabi. Further negotiations, however, were put on hold after the US and Israel launched their war against Iran, disrupting access to the UAE.

Ushakov told Russian media that Abu Dhabi was again being examined as a possible venue for renewed talks, noting that Putin has yet to choose the members of a future Russian delegation.

Asked by reporters whether the Ukraine conflict was approaching its end,Ushakov suggested it is “moving in that direction.”

Ukrainian Drones Hit Donetsk Data Center and Luhansk Telecom Hub in Back-to-Back Strikes

Ukrainian drones struck telecommunications facilities in the Russian-occupied cities of Donetsk and Luhansk on October 20 and 21, causing significant damage to infrastructure providing mobile communications, internet access, and data transmission services.

According to the OSINT monitoring channel Exilenova+, Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted the data center of telecommunications operator Ugletelecom in temporraily occupied Donetsk on October 20.

A separate drone attack followed overnight on October 21 in occupied Luhansk, where a building housing the Lugacom telecommunications operator and the Telecommunications Services Center was struck.

The facility previously operated under the Ukrtelecom name before coming under Russian occupation.

Both buildings reportedly sustained extensive damage as a result of the strikes.

The targeted facilities provide telecommunications services across temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions, including mobile connectivity, internet access, and data transmission.

The strikes come amid separate reports of efforts to disrupt Russian military communications infrastructure, including sabotage operations claimed by the Ukrainian partisan movement ATESH near a major data center in Moscow.

On October 21, ATESH reported that its operatives were targeting Russian military communications near IXcellerate, one of Moscow’s largest commercial data centers, in an effort to interfere with air defense coordination and facilitate Ukrainian drone operations.

IXcellerate is a significant component of Moscow’s digital infrastructure, supporting a range of services, including banking applications, payment processing, telecommunications networks, and business operations.
