Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts was recently grilled – on CNN of all places – about the fact that despite all of the Democrat Party’s complaints about billionaires, they are being funded for the midterms by quite a few of them.

The whole billionaire thing on the left is so tiresome. It all goes back to Bernie Sanders. He used to be the only one who talked about it but now they all do.

Of course, they all conveniently look the other way when a billionaire is ready to hand them a massive campaign donation.

It’s still hard to believe this conversation happened on CNN.

FOX News reports:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., got defensive in a new interview as she railed against billionaire donations in politics and was asked about Democrat Troy Jackson revealing multiple billionaire donors, as well as a large possible donation from Michael Bloomberg.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins said during an interview with Warren that Bloomberg had given about $80 million to help Democrats win the midterms after noting that Elon Musk had contributed $276 million to Republicans.

Collins asked Warren, “You’re someone who has said billionaire donors should not be in politics. Given what you’ve said, do you want Michael Bloomberg’s help here?”

“Look, what I want is to get this kind of money out of politics,” Warren said. “Right now, the Republicans know that their only chance, as they see it, to be able to hang on to the House and the Senate and some of these governors’ mansions is to be able to just drown people in money, to be able to run all the ads on TV, to lie, to cheat, and that there won’t be any opportunity for Democrats to be able to respond.”

“We need to push back because, this campaign, this 2026 midterm, really is about the money or the people. Because the Democrats have got the people on their side. The Republicans have got the money, and they think if they can spend it, they can maintain control of this country, and I sure hope they’re wrong,” Warren said, arguing for a “very different” system.

Democrats love their talking points about billionaires because it stokes a sense of class warfare.

Not only do they not mind being divisive, they see it as a campaign strategy.

U.S. Government Contractor Arrested for Allegedly Leaking National Defense Information

A U.S. government contractor was arrested by the FBI this morning for allegedly leaking national defense information to another individual who repeatedly posted classified information to an online publication.

“National defense information is classified to protect the American people from bad actors around the world who wish to do us harm,” said Attorney General Todd Blanche. “The details alleged in this affidavit reflect the behavior of a government contractor who exempted himself from a federal law governing the protection of classified information. The Department of Justice will continue prosecuting individuals who leak classified information and put our national security at risk.”

“The FBI arrested the subject after he was caught allegedly betraying his oath and leaking classified defense information,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “Protecting America’s secrets is a top counterintelligence priority of this FBI - and anyone caught abusing their position of trust within the government by jeopardizing national security and putting our brave warriors at risk will be met with the full weight of justice.”

“As alleged, Brinksman reached far outside his own duties to obtain some of our Nation’s most closely held secrets and handed them to a romantic partner he knew intended to publish them,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John A. Eisenberg. “That is not carelessness. It is a betrayal of his oath and the American people who entrusted him to fulfill his duties honorably. Those cleared to hold our Nation's secrets undertake a solemn obligation to protect that information. If proven at trial, this conduct is a grave violation of the Espionage Act, and the National Security Division will prosecute it as such.”

Ian A. Brinksman, 42, of the District of Columbia was arrested following a search of his residence and charged by criminal complaint with unlawfully transmitting national defense information.

According to the criminal complaint, beginning in 2020, the defendant worked as an employee of a U.S. government agency based in the Eastern District of Virginia and later in 2022 began working as a developer for systems integration for “Company 1,” a contractor to the same U.S. government agency. During all times relevant to the complaint, Brinksman held a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.

As further detailed in the complaint, Brinksman had an ongoing personal relationship with an individual who maintains an online publication on Substack (Individual 1). A fundraising article reportedly published by Individual 1 in September 2026 claimed Individual 1 had “published reporting based on classified [relevant U.S. government agency] assessments.” Individual 1 posted on her social media profile, “I also accept leaks.”

Wyden unveils plan to raise taxes on data centers

The top Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee also wants to strip the fast-growing facilities of several federal tax breaks.

The Senate’s top Democratic tax-writer unveiled aplan Friday to slap a new excise tax on data centers and restrict their use of widely available business tax breaks, including ones for investments.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), the ranking member of the tax-writing Finance Committee, wants to create a new, as-yet-undetermined excise tax on the gross receipts attributable to data center services.

At the same time, he wants to curb their ability to claim popular tax breaks for depreciation, research and development, investments in so-called Opportunity Zones and benefits associated with real estate investment trusts.

The plan comes as anti-data center sentiment in Washington and around the country is running hot, thanks to a widespread voter backlash against the fast-growing facilities.

And companies involved in developing the infrastructure for artificial intelligence are now claiming so many tax breaks on their investments that budget forecasters say it’s putting a serious dent into corporate tax receipts.

The Wyden proposal amounts to a marker in what’s likely to be a sweeping debate in Congress over how to approach the rise of artificial intelligence.

If Democrats win control of the Senate in next month’s elections, Wyden, in line to seize the Finance gavel, would be a prime position to push the plan.

Wyden wants to pair it with an expansion of unemployment benefits, in anticipation of job losses prompted by AI.

“Americans feel the looming fear of AI job losses, and Congress has a responsibility to help the country prepare,” Wyden said in a statement. “These are not the only policy changes that are needed to protect American workers from economic disruption, but it’s a needed first step to give families the wage security they deserve in this time of high costs and economic uncertainty.”

The AI lobby is not standing idle amid the swell of complaints.

Microsoft reported this week lobbying on a “proposal for the taxation of data centers” by Wyden. CoreWeave, an AI titan, said it’s also working lawmakers on data center taxes.

It’s not just tech firms, either — a reminder that other industries also have an interest in seeing data centers built. The Real Estate Roundtable reported that it’s on the case, and so did the National Association of Manufacturers, according to those groups’ third-quarter lobbying disclosures.

“Data centers, like many other industries, utilize broadly available economic development and tax policies designed to encourage American job creation, infrastructure development, innovation, and overall economic growth,” said Michele Nellenbach, a vice president of federal affairs for the Data Center Coalition, which represents Google, Microsoft, Meta and other major companies. “DCC will continue to work collaboratively on balanced, forward-looking solutions that ensure the U.S. remains a leader in the modern digital economy.”

Wyden says he’d impose an excise on a range of data-center services, including data storage, cloud services, AI training, inference services and high-volume data processing. It would also apply to any data center that’s 25 megawatts or more in size, a summary of the legislationreads. The bill would allow exceptions for internet infrastructure and traditional IT departments.

Wyden said he’ll decide the excise tax rate once he gets revenue estimates from congressional budget forecasters.

The plan goes beyond what many other Democrats have proposed by barring companies from claiming R&D subsidies for their data centers.

Some lawmakers have stopped short of that, even as they push to curtail other breaks, because they think it’s already illegal. And they worry that putting out legislation outlawing the use of R&D tax credits for data centers could backfire by allowing companies such as Meta — which has faced criticism over its use of research tax breaks for data centers — to cite their legislation as evidence it’s allowed under current law.

The research subsidies are supposed to be reserved for experimental programs, not usual business expenses. Meta has acknowledged in a quarterly financial statement that the IRS could reject its use of research credits. A Meta spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Wyden says his plan stipulates that his provision “does not create any implication that it was legal for a taxpayer to claim the research credit on data centers built in years prior to the introduction of the legislation.”

Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso will campaign with Ken Paxton next week in Texas as Republicans work overtime to try to hold onto the endangered seat.

Barrasso said in an interview that he plans to join a bus tour with Paxton, who is locked in a toss-up battle with Democrat James Talarico despite President Donald Trump carrying Texas by roughly 14 percentage points two years ago.

The No. 2 leader, Barrasso is the most senior Senate Republican to hit the trail in Texas in the general election. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has held fundraisers with Paxton but has not publicly campaigned with him.

The Wyoming Republican plans to campaign with former Rep. Mike Rogers in Michigan and Rep. Andy Barr in Kentucky as well. He was also in South Carolina this week with Trump and said he had made stops in Iowa, Ohio and Kansas — all home to battleground Senate races.

Republicans are navigating steep headwinds as they try to fend off Democratic momentum and voter dissatisfaction to keep their majority. But Barrasso said he was “very optimistic” that the party would keep control of the Senate.

“There’s a lot of energy at every event I’ve gone to, and of course there are eight, 10 races now, a number for sure, that are within the margin of error,” Barrasso said. “So there’s a lot at stake in the next week and a half, and nothing’s going to be left on the field.”

He said races for Democratic-held seats in Michigan, Minnesota and New Hampshire are still within the GOP’s grasp.But Republicans are also on defense in states like Kansas, Iowa and Texas where Trump won easily in 2024.

Republicans have poured hundreds of millions of dollars into Texas to boost Paxton, even as some in the party lament some of the campaign decisions he’s made.

“I mean, I hope Ken Paxton wins. … But you know, Ken Paxton also has some responsibility here to be a better candidate and to raise some of his own money and to not be a drain on the system,” Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) said in an interview Thursday. “Having said all that, I hope he’s a senator.”

Democrats are now pushing into even deeper-red territory, including South Carolina and Mississippi. Barrasso said in the interview thathe was “very confident” Republicans would hold both states, which have seen an influx of late spending.

“You know the president has really opened up his campaign coffers, and he’s fully invested time as well as money,” Barrasso said. “Every candidate wishes there were more resources, every candidate, so there’s no surprise there, but we feel we’re fully resourced to get … the message out.”

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced Friday that it has launched a joint effort with every state to recruit and retain nurses to work in nursing homes, offering loan forgiveness options and a stipend to entice them.

The Nurses for Nursing Homes initiative is expected to support more than 4,000 nurses nationwide, and offers nursing students and licensed nurses up to $40,000 in student loan repayment and/or a $10,000 stipend in exchange for a three-year commitment to serve in a qualified nursing home in a rural area or an area with a high labor shortage.

The $275 million initiative, which is funded jointly by the federal government and individual states, is designed to strengthen the nursing workforce by recruiting and retaining eligible nurses to work in long-term care.

"President Trump is strengthening the nursing workforce that millions of older Americans rely on every day," Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said in a statement. "This initiative will recruit and retain thousands of nurses, expand care in rural and high-need communities, and create new pathways into long-term care careers.

"We are putting resources directly behind the nurses who care for our seniors and strengthening the quality, stability, and dignity of nursing home care across America," he added.

Nurses through the program are required to work at least 30 hours a week at the qualified nursing home, already have a registered nursing license or a licensed vocational nurse at the start of employment, and must not have worked at a nursing home for at least 60 days before applying.

Yesterday, Thursday 22 October 2026, the substantive hearing took place in the civil proceedings against the 17 defendants at the Northern Netherlands court in Leeuwarden.

The 17 defendants include Bill Gates, Albert Bourla, Mark Rutte, the Dutch state and Dutch state media.

This procedure touches on fundamental questions about government action, information provision, physical integrity and the consequences of corona policy. The claimants are committed to careful, public and substantive consideration of these questions.

The Dutch State and the other defendants must answer for their actions, their decision-making and the consequences thereof, Stichting Recht Oprect (Foundation Right Uplaw) said.

The following is a press release issued by Stichting Recht Oprect in the lead-up to the hearing.

On Thursday, 22 October 2026, something will take place in Leeuwarden that could have significance far beyond the borders of the Netherlands.

After more than three years of legal proceedings, this major international civil case will finally be heard on its merits. At its heart are fundamental questions concerning deception, accountability and unlawful conduct during the covid-19 period.

The time for looking away, denying the facts and shifting responsibility is over. The Dutch State and the other defendants must be held accountable for their actions, their decision-making and the resulting consequences. They must accept responsibility and acknowledge the mistakes that were made.

The claimants are not standing up for themselves alone. This case concerns everyone who believes that government officials and powerful organisations are not above the law, and that truth and justice must ultimately prevail.

We therefore call on everyone to come to Leeuwarden on 22 October 2026 in a dignified and peaceful manner and show their visible and moral support for the claimants.

A group of women in Maine who support far left Democrat Troy Jackson for Senate decided to hold a ‘Women for Troy’ event to counter the growing perception that he has issues with women.

One little problem though, Troy Jackson didn’t show up. Oops.

The media was a little confused.

Apparently, to try to counter “negative ads” and the backlash that has been stirred up in recent weeks, a “Women for Troy” group – which includes former and current female state lawmakers – sprung into action. And on Wednesday, they held a press conference, complete with pre-printed signs in hand, to endorse Jackson while hoping to reassure female voters that he was on their side:

“If we want to secure rights and health and safety for women in Maine, we need to make sure we are electing people who are representing our needs in Augusta and D.C., and endorsements are an important way that we can help do that,” [Maine Women’s Lobby Executive Director Destie] Hohman Sprague said.

She added that she thinks Jackson, if elected, will advocate for abortion rights and both paid and unpaid women’s labor.

“Troy understands that women’s labor is also labor. And he has been fighting for it for years,” Hohman Sprague said.

The French leader claimed terrorists had never targeted people because of their skin color or religion, overlooking numerous murders of Christians and Jews

French President Emmanuel Macron has described a deadly shooting near Paris as the country’sfirst “racist terrorist attack,”appearing to overlook decades of Islamist terrorism, including the deliberate targeting and murder of Christians and Jews.

A gunman opened fire from a car in Trappes and neighboring La Verriere on Friday morning, killing 26-year-old aspiring MMA fighter Pengo Bossio Wangi and injuring five others, including a 12-year-old girl who was shot eight times. Other victims reportedly included a woman wearing a headscarf, a man of North African origin and two school cleaners of African origin.

The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Kevin T., was arrested after a shooting spree lasting approximately 15 minutes. Police recovered a submachine gun from his vehicle and discovered three gas cylinders wired to a timer in his apartment.He reportedly had 13 previous criminal-record entries but was not on a terrorism watchlist.

Visiting Trappes on Friday evening,Macron declared the shooting a historic “turning point” for France.

“This is the first timethere has been a terrorist act aimed at killing our compatriots and our children for the colour of their skin or what their religion is thought to be,” he claimed. Macron also alleged that the suspect deliberately spared certain people because of their skin color, citing statements allegedly made after his arrest.

The French leader’s sweeping claim sparked criticism online, withcommentators pointing to numerous terrorist attacks targeting people because of their religion.

In March 2012, Islamist gunman Mohamed Merah murdered a rabbi and three Jewish children at a school in Toulouse.In January 2015, ISIS-linked terrorist Amedy Coulibaly stormed a kosher supermarket in Paris, killing four Jewish hostages.

Christians have also been targeted.In 2016, two ISIS terrorists slit the throat of 85-year-old Catholic priest Jacques Hamel during Mass at a church in Normandy.In 2020, a Tunisian Islamist attacker murdered three people inside the Notre-Dame basilica in Nice, beheading one woman.

Jihadists have also attacked broader symbols of French secular society. InNovember 2015, ISIS terrorists killed 130 people in coordinated attacks across Paris, including 90 concertgoers at the Bataclan music venue.In 2020, an Islamist extremist beheaded schoolteacher Samuel Paty for showing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad during a lesson on freedom of expression.

Following the backlash, the Elysee sought to clarify Macron’s remarks, telling TF1 that he had specifically meant the first racist terrorist attack motivated by skin color, despite his explicit reference to religion.

The shooting comes amid nationwide unrest that has fueled a bitter political dispute over immigration and security. US President Donald Trump has blamed uncontrolled immigration and radical groups for the violence, while Macron has accused the ultra-left of orchestrating riots and denounced anti-immigration rhetoric portraying France as overrun by Islamists.

The Trappes shooting has also intensified political tensions ahead of next year’s presidential election. Communist presidential candidate FabienRoussel accused the far right of spreading “racist hatred,”while National Rally leaderMarine Le Pen condemned the shooting and its “abject motive of racism.”

France’s anti-terrorism prosecutors have opened an investigation into suspected terrorist murder with a racist motive. The suspect’s precise ideological affiliations remain under investigation.

All the clues Ilhan Omar had sham marriage to brother — from marriage certificate to living with ‘dirty dandy’

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has denied allegations this week she fraudulently married second husband and alleged brother Ahmed Elmi — but when asked if they were related, cautiously replied “not to my knowledge.”

The Minnesota congresswoman, who arrived in the US as a refugee from Somalia in 1995, has vehemently denied allegationsshe married Elmi for immigration purposes.

But significant evidence has emerged which continues to fuel speculation that is not the case:

Clue 1: The marriage certificate

Omar, 45, legally married Elmi, 41, who she described as a British citizen, in the US in 2009 and they divorced in 2017.

Omar’s family background is split across continents and complicated by Somalian paperwork being lost or destroyed.

Her mother is said to have died when she was young and her family is said to be split, with one branch in the UK and one in the US.

Elmi’s parentage is not known, but he lived in London with Leila Nur Said, a Somali woman who is thought to be Omar’s sister, who possibly raised him.

A UK marriage certificate for Leila from 1997 obtained by The Post lists her father as Nur Said Elmi, a military officer from Somalia.

Omar’s late father, Nur Omar Mohamed also went by the name Nur Said Elmi and was a prominent military commander in the Somali dictatorship, which millions fled from.

Multiple sources have told The Post they believe the person listed on the British legal document is Nur, Omar’s father.

Omar’s father also went by Nur Said on Facebook and his profile is linked to Leila’s, who proudly left “hearts” on his pictures.

Following his death aged 67 from COVID complications in June 2020, well-wishers took to social media to pay tribute to “Nur Said Elmi” and left messages of condolences for both Omar and Leila.

A motion filed Wednesday by the US District Attorney for the District of Columbia seeking to prevent the federal search warrant of Omar’s home from being unsealed,referred to the congresswoman as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.”

Leila and Omar did not respond for comment when reached out to by email.

Clue 2: The living arrangements

While legally married to Elmi, Omar had her third childwith previous husband, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi.

Omar first applied for a marriage license with Hirsi in 2002, though she later said, “we never finalized the application and thus were never legally married.”

According to Omar, the pair separated in 2008, then reconciled around four years later, circa 2012, and married in 2018. The couple have three children together, born in 2003, 2005 and 2012.

However, from 2009 to 2017, Omar was legally married to Elmi.On their marriage application, both listed their marital address as a property in Columbia Heights, a suburb in Minneapolis. Hirsi also used that address for a business license.

Omar claims that she and Elmi split in 2011, but that it took a few years to finish the paperwork.It meant Omar had her third child with Hirsi while legally married to Elmi.

On top of that, The Post has previouslyreported joint tax filings between Omar and Hirsi in 2014 and 2015, while she was legally married to Elmi.Those filings were later corrected.

Omar’s divorce with Elmi was finalized in 2017, though he reportedly left the country to return to the UK well before it was completed.

Omar married Hirsi in January 2018. The following year, Elmi withdrew a marriage-based green-card application he had filed. It was reported the withdrawal came after the US Citizenship and Immigration Services requested more evidence about the marriage.

Clue 3: Community leader’s claim

A Minneapolis-based Somali blogger added fuel to the fire when hetold the Daily Mail in 2020 he knew Omar when the two were growing up in Minnesota — and she had introduced Elmi as her brotherfrom London to Somali community members in the ‘00s.

Omar allegedly would tell people at the time her sibling was looking for “papers,” referencing immigration documents such as a green card.

“No one knew there had been a wedding [to Elmi] until the media turned up the marriage certificate years later,” he said at the time.

The Somali blogger claimed Elmi was ordered to come to the US from the UK by his father,who discovered he had been living a decadent and immoral life in London.

“People began noticing that Ilhan and [Hirsi] were often with a very effeminate young guy. He was very feminine in the way he dressed. He would wear light lipstick and pink clothes and very, very short shorts in the summer. People started whispering about him,” he claimed to the Daily Mail.

The ousting to America was meant as a sort of “rehab”. But after his marriage to Omar, Elmi left the US and returned to the UK — where he continued living a “flamboyant” life.

The Brit described himself as a “dirty dandy” on his social media profiles and regularly posted pictures of himself wearing garish outfits.

He was also spotted enjoying drinks alongside handsome men at upscale London cafes.

Elmi later pursued a doctorate degree at Bristol University from 2023 and served as a research assistant at the university’s School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies.

Areas of interest included “critically queer,” “decolonization,” “gender research group,” and the “center for black humanities.”

As of late 2025, The Post reported how he made an extended visit to the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. “So far, so fab…a month in JoBurg,” Elmi captioned an Instagram post dated Nov. 4.

Except Omar, Elmi has never been romantically linked to another woman.
