In 2020, Whitmer and Nessel threatened to shut down the 645-mile pipeline that stretches from Superior, Wisconsin, to Sarnia, Canada, and has carried 540,000 gallons of hydrocarbons daily underneath the Straits of Mackinac since 1953.

Whitmer and Nessel say that the pipeline is at risk for spilling oil, and have moved to revoke a 1953 easement.

New Docs Reveal Shocking Lengths Obama And Biden Went To Protect Hillary Clinton, Get Trump

he Obama-Biden Administration prevented agents investigating Hillary Clinton from reviewing some eight thumb drives of intel based on purported concerns over executive and congressional privilege, newly released documents reveal. This reality renders last month’s revelation that the Biden Administration approved Special Counsel Jack Smith’s subpoenaing of congressional Republicans’ toll records even more appalling — and the Democrats’ weaponization of the criminal justice system even more obvious and outrageous.

Last week, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, released another tranche of documents he obtained through his relentless efforts to expose the weaponization of the Department of Justice. With whistleblowers feeding Grassley specifics of the Deep State’s nefarious doings, the Iowa Republican knew precisely which documents to request, as shown by the details contained in the nearly 100 pages of emails and timelines released one week ago. Those documents exposed efforts by the Obama Administration and DOJ and FBI holdovers under Trump 1.0 to obstruct the investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

A December 31, 2020 email from the then-U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, Cody Hiland, to Jonathan Ross, who served as Hiland’s first assistant under Trump 1.0, capsulizes the obstruction the duo faced while attempting to investigate the Clinton Foundation. “What a bizarre, unsettling time that was,” Hiland opened, adding that he was thankful Ross was “there to go through the fire” with him.

“We’ve done what we can about the interference by DOJ and FBI leadership at the time with the FBI’s investigation,” Hiland wrote in the email he sent as he stepped down as U.S. attorney following Biden’s election in 2020.

In addition to that email, the document cache Grassley released last week revealed extensive obstruction into the investigation into Hillary Clinton first by the Obama Administration, but also continuing into Trump’s first term. But on his final day as U.S. attorney, Hiland focused on one specific detail: the Deep State’s secreting of classified appendices.

While Hiland’s December 31, 2020 email does not identify the appendices at issue, the thread below the email from the outgoing U.S. attorney does, with then-AUSA Ross referencing the fact “that despite numerous requests, Main Justice and the FBI refused to grant us access to the sensitive law enforcement appendices to the OIG report that was issued on 6/14/2018 titled ‘A Review of Various Actions by the FBI and DOJ in Advance of the 2016 Election.’” That OIG report detailed misconduct in the FBI’s handling of its Midyear Exam investigation into Clinton’s mishandling of classified documents.

Given Hiland and Ross’s focus on those two appendices, revisiting them seemed in order.

According to the OIG Report, the first appendix discussed “highly classified information relevant to the Midyear investigation” into Clinton’s mishandling of classified information. The second appendix, the OIG Report explained, contained a more fulsome version — including Law Enforcement Sensitive information — of Chapter Thirteen’s discussion concerning whether FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe violated his recusal obligations by working on various investigative matters related to Clinton.

In July of this year, after having sought the release of the first appendix for more than six years, Grassley succeeded in securing its declassification. The Iowa senator and godfather of whistleblowers then released the appendix, calling it the Clinton Annex.

The press release Grassley issued with the Clinton Annex understandably stressed that the recently declassified appendix revealed “an extreme lack of effort and due diligence in the FBI’s investigation of former Secretary Clinton’s email usage and mishandling of highly classified information.” “Under Comey’s leadership, the FBI failed to perform fundamental investigative work and left key pieces of evidence on the cutting room floor,” Grassley wrote at the time.

Russia backs Venezuela in standoff with US

The South American country is facing a blockade by US warships deployed in the Caribbean

Russia has reaffirmed it's full support and solidarity with Venezuela as the country faces a US military blockade in the Caribbean, the Foreign Ministry in Moscow has announced.

Washington has deployed multiple Navy vessels to the region since September, attacking boats it claims are involved in drug trafficking with the support of the Venezuelan government and blockading oil tankers entering or leaving the country. Caracas has consistently denied Washington’s claims, accusing the US of plotting regime change to gain access to Venezuela’s natural resources.

On Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart, Yvan Gil, during which the top Russian diplomat expressed “serious concern over Washington’s increasingly escalatory actions in the Caribbean Sea,” according to the ministry statement. Lavrov added that the US military buildup could “lead to far-reaching consequences for the region and create a threat to international maritime navigation.”

Over the weekend, several media outlets, citing anonymous American officials, reported that the US Coast Guard was in “active pursuit” of a Venezuela-linked oil tanker in international waters in the Caribbean Sea. Over the past two weeks, US forces have already seized two tankers.

Since September, the US Navy has destroyed multiple boats off the coast of the South American country that it claims were carrying drugs. President Donald Trump has also threatened that land strikes could happen “pretty soon.”

Venezuela has characterized the seizure of oil tankers off its shores by the US Navy as an “act of piracy,” and accused Washington of seeking to install a “puppet government” in Caracas.

Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier expressed ”solidarity with the people of Venezuela and reaffirmed his support for the [Nicolas] Maduro government’s resolve to defend national interests and sovereignty against foreign pressure.”

Earlier this month, the Chinese Foreign Ministry similarly backed Caracas, saying that Beijing opposes “all acts of unilateralism and bullying.”

Malicious Actors Impersonating Senior US Officials, FBI Warns

“Activity dating back to 2023 reveals malicious actors have impersonated senior U.S. state government, White House, and Cabinet-level officials, as well as members of Congress to target individuals, including officials’ family members and personal acquaintances,” the alert said.

“If you receive a message claiming to be from a current or former senior U.S. official, do not assume it is authentic.”

As Naveen Athrappully reports for The Epoch Times, the threat actors have sent text messages and artificial intelligence-generated voice messages as part of their impersonation campaigns.

In the scheme, criminals contact a target by impersonating a U.S. official and briefly engage in conversation on a topic the target is well-versed in, the agency said. They then request that the communication be taken to an encrypted mobile messaging application. In most cases, the initial contact is made via SMS, and the conversation is then moved to an app such as Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal.

Once this communication channel is set up, they inquire about events such as bilateral relations, current affairs, and trade and security policy negotiations, according to the FBI.

The malicious actor then suggests setting up a meeting between the target and the U.S. president or other high-ranking officials. They also lie that the target is being considered for nomination to the board of directors of a company.

According to the FBI, targets have been asked to take certain actions, including providing an authentication code allowing the fraudsters to sync their device with the contact list on the target’s phone, supplying personally identifiable information and copies of personal documents, and wiring funds to a financial institution located abroad under false pretenses.

The Dec. 19 alert is an update to an earlier alert issued by the FBI on May 15, which warned that once a target is lured into a messaging platform, he or she may be presented with malware or hyperlinks designed to steal log-in information, such as user names and passwords.

The malicious actors may use voice phishing tactics, which involve audio generated by artificial intelligence to impersonate public figures or personal relations to boost the believability of the scheme.

The straw poll, which was conducted at the first AmericaFest since TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September, asked attendees, “Would you support a moratorium on new immigration into the United States?”

About 9-in-10 attendees, who are overwhelmingly young conservatives, said they support an immigration moratorium, while just 10.5 percent of attendees said they disagreed.

The straw poll also asked attendees what the biggest threats are facing the United States. The number one threat ranked by attendees was radical Islam, which has made its way into American communities mostly through immigration.

TPUSA evolved from a campus group into a major Trump ally, providing infrastructure for rallies, endorsements, and post-election lobbying (e.g., pushing for Trump's cabinet picks). Their efforts built on work since 2016, though 2020 was a setback; by 2024, they were seen as a "powerful grassroots machine."

I tend to focus more on the psyop/anon-level of information, so I never paid much attention to TPUSA or Charlie Kirk, as they were/are decidedly more mainstream. But, they have been thrust directly into the 'truther' space, overlapping anon space, but the recent developments, including the rise of 'controversy' in the aftermath of the Kirk murder.

However, if you step back and look at the bigger picture, a lot of things make sense. I.e. the intense attack on TPUSA, starting with the murder of Charlie Kirk. The targeting of the youth sector, particularly the young men.

While certain inflooencers proclaim they are "America First" and "Conservative", even well, 'Trump Supporters', their underlying messages are consistently 'do not trust Trump', 'the Administration has gone wrong/cannot be trusted', etc.

In my opinion, it's exceedingly important to be able to step back from the chaotic fighting and criticizing and attacking, and consider other potential explanations for how certain actors are behaving.

Trump needs the People on his side but also the Congress on his side going forward. The mid-terms are going to be a critical battle.

How would the opponents of Trump see TPUSA and Charlie Kirk? As an organization that MUST be stopped? At all costs?

GALVESTON, Texas - A small Mexican Navy plane transporting a young medical patient and seven others crashed Monday near Galveston, killing at least five people and setting off a search in the waters off the Texas coast, officials said.

Four of the people aboard were Navy officers and four were civilians, including a child, Mexico's Navy said in a statement to The Associated Press. It was not immediately clear which of them were confirmed dead by U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Luke Baker.

Two of the people aboard were members from the Michou and Mau Foundation, a nonprofit that provides aid to Mexican children with severe burns.

The crash took place Monday afternoon near the base of a causeway, a raised roadway typically built over water, near Galveston, along the Texas coast about 50 miles (80.5 kilometers) southeast of Houston. The cause is under investigation.

Mexico's Navy said in a statement that the plane was helping with a medical mission and had an "accident." It promised to investigate the cause and is helping local authorities with the search and rescue operation.

Teams from the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have arrived at the scene of the crash, the Texas Department of Public Safety said on the social platform X.

A spokesperson from NTSB said they are "aware of this accident and are gathering information about it."

The Galveston County Sheriff's Office said officials from its dive team, crime scene unit, drone unit and patrol were responding to the crash. It said in a post on Facebook that the public should avoid the area so emergency responders can work safely.

It's not immediately clear if weather was a factor. The area has been experiencing foggy conditions over the past few days, according to Cameron Batiste, a National Weather Service meteorologist. He said that at about 2:30 p.m. Monday, a fog came in that had about a half-mile visibility.

New Radio Data and Diameter Estimate for 3I/ATLAS

A new paper, posted here, reports data from 7.25 hours during July 2, 2025 of radio observations of the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS with the Allen Telescope Array.

Within the frequency range of 1–9 GHz, there were nearly 74 million narrowband hits. After mitigating Radio Frequency Interference in the dataset, only about 2 million hits were left. These hits were further filtered by sky localization.

The vast majority of them did not coincide with 3I/ATLAS in the sky. The remaining 211 hits were visually inspected in the time-frequency domain and the observers did not find any signals worthy of additional follow-up.

Accounting for the radial velocity (Doppler) drift of 3I/ATLAS, the upper limit deduced on the isotropic radiated power of 3I/ATLAS is in the range 10 to 110 Watts within the observed range of radio frequencies.

The team plans to re-observe 3I/ATLAS in December 2025.

In another new preprint posted today here, the latest data on the non-gravitational acceleration of 3I/ATLAS was combined with data on its mass loss rate to conclude that the diameter of its nucleus is of order 1 kilometer.

This size estimate confirms the value predicted in my first paper on 3I/ATLAS, published in early July here.

The estimate follows the momentum conservation equation that I posted three months ago here, where the non-gravitational acceleration results from the recoil of 3I/ATLAS -associated with a mass loss in a preferred direction.

However, there are several uncertainties that might alter this estimate considerably:

1. The non-gravitational acceleration was downsized multiple times since November 2, 2025 by NASA’s JPL-Horizons listing here.

Its normalization depends on the sky-localization uncertainties assigned to telescope images of 3I/ATLAS, as well as on the model adopted for the dependance of the acceleration on distance from the Sun.

2. The momentum imparted to the nucleus of 3I/ATLAS could be dominated by the ejection of fragments of icy material (as discussed in the paper that I co-authored with Eric Keto here), rather than gas particles at their thermal speed.

3. The directionality and the ejection speed of the material from the surface of the nucleus could be different from their assumed values.

Currently, there is no spectroscopic measurement of the velocity of the observed jets in images of 3I/ATLAS. Hopefully, future observations by the Webb telescope will measure the jet velocities.

4. The dominant anti-tail jet appeared to be in the direction of the Sun both before perihelion (as evident from the Hubble Space Telescope image on July 21, 2025 here) and after perihelion (as evident from the Hubble image on November 30, 2025 here).

The direction of the trajectory of 3I/ATLAS was deflected by the Sun’s gravity only by 16 degrees at perihelion (based on my calculation here), and so the momentum given to the nucleus by the anti-tail jets before and after perihelion nearly cancel out.

The current analysis does not take into consideration the evolution in the direction of the jets during the past 6 months.

NASA Glenn Tests Mini-X-Ray Technology to Advance Space Health Care

Astronomers using NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope have imaged the largest protoplanetary disk ever observed circling a young star.

For the first time in visible light, Hubble has revealed the disk is unexpectedly chaotic and turbulent, with wisps of material stretching much farther above and below the disk than astronomers have seen in any similar system.

Strangely, more extended filaments are only visible on one side of the disk. The findings, which published Tuesday in The Astrophysical Journal, mark a new milestone for Hubble and shed light on how planets may form in extreme environments, as NASA’s missions lead humanity’s exploration of the universe and our place in it.

Located roughly 1,000 light-years from Earth, IRAS 23077+6707, nicknamed “Dracula’s Chivito,” spans nearly 400 billion miles — 40 times the diameter of our solar system to the outer edge of the Kuiper Belt of cometary bodies.

The disk obscures the young star within it, which scientists believe may be either a hot, massive star, or a pair of stars. And the enormous disk is not only the largest known planet-forming disk; it’s also shaping up to be one of the most unusual.

“The level of detail we’re seeing is rare in protoplanetary disk imaging, and these new Hubble images show that planet nurseries can be much more active and chaotic than we expected,” said lead author Kristina Monsch of the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (CfA). “We’re seeing this disk nearly edge-on and its wispy upper layers and asymmetric features are especially striking.

Both Hubble and NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope have glimpsed similar structures in other disks, but IRAS 23077+6707 provides us with an exceptional perspective — allowing us to trace its substructures in visible light at an unprecedented level of detail.

This makes the system a unique, new laboratory for studying planet formation and the environments where it happens.”

The nickname “Dracula’s Chivito” playfully reflects the heritage of its researchers—one from Transylvania and another from Uruguay, where the national dish is a sandwich called a chivito.

he edge-on disk resembles a hamburger, with a dark central lane flanked by glowing top and bottom layers of dust and gas.

Puzzling asymmetry

The impressive height of these features wasn’t the only thing that captured the attention of scientists.

The new images revealed that vertically imposing filament-like features appear on just one side of the disk, while the other side appears to have a sharp edge and no visible filaments.

This peculiar, lopsided structure suggests that dynamic processes, like the recent infall of dust and gas, or interactions with its surroundings, are shaping the disk.

“We were stunned to see how asymmetric this disk is,” said co-investigator Joshua Bennett Lovell, also an astronomer at the CfA.

“Hubble has given us a front row seat to the chaotic processes that are shaping disks as they build new planets — processes that we don’t yet fully understand but can now study in a whole new way.”

All planetary systems form from disks of gas and dust encircling young stars.

Over time, the gas accretes onto the star, and planets emerge from the remaining material. IRAS 23077+6707 may represent a scaled-up version of our early solar system, with a disk mass estimated at 10 to 30 times that of Jupiter — ample material for forming multiple gas giants. This, plus the new findings, makes it an exceptional case for studying the birth of planetary systems.

Sentinels in the Sky: 50 Years of GOES Satellite Observations

Introduction

In an era where satellite observations of Earth are commonplace, it’s easy to forget that only a few decades ago, the amount of information available about the state of Earth’s environment was limited; observations were infrequent and data were sparsely located.

As far back as the late 1950s, there were primitive numerical weather prediction (NWP) models that could produce an accurate (or what a forecaster would call “skillful”) forecast given a set of initial conditions.

However, the data available to provide those initial conditions at that time were limited. For example, the weather balloon network circa 1960 only covered about 10% of the troposphere and did not extend into the Southern Hemisphere, the tropics, or over the ocean.

Weather forecasters of the pre-satellite era typically relied upon manual analysis of plotted weather maps, cloud observations, and barometric pressure readings when making forecasts.

They combined this limited dataset with their own experience issuing forecasts in a particular area to predict upcoming weather and storm events.

While those pioneering forecasters made the most of the limited tools available to them, poor data – or simply the lack of data – inevitably led to poor forecasts, which usually weren’t accurate beyond two days.

This time duration was even less than that in the Southern Hemisphere. As a result, the forecasts issued typically lacked the specificity and lead time required to adequately prepare a community before a snowstorm or hurricane.

Although the first satellite observations (e.g., from the Television Infrared Observation Satellite (TIROS) program or early Nimbus missions) whet forecasters' appetites for what might be possible in terms of improving weather forecasting, polar orbiting satellites could only observe a given location twice a day.

Those snapshots from above were insufficient for tracking rapidly evolving weather phenomena (e.g., thunderstorms, tornadoes, and intensification of hurricanes).

Beyond cloud information, forecasters required data on temperature, moisture, and wind profiles in the atmosphere in addition to output from NWP models.

It was the advent of geostationary observations (also called geosynchronous) that truly led to revolutionary advances in weather forecasting. This approach enabled continuous monitoring of the atmosphere over a particular region on Earth.

Hence, the development and evolution of NOAA’s Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) has been a major achievement for weather forecasting.

For 50 years, GOES have kept a constant vigil over the Western Hemisphere and monitored the Sun and the near-Earth environment – see Visualization 1.

Since 1975, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and NASA have partnered to advance NOAA satellite observations from geostationary orbit.

GOES satellites serve as sentinels in the sky, keeping constant watch for severe weather and environmental hazards on Earth as well as dangerous space weather.

This narrative will focus on the development and evolutions of the Earth observing instruments on GOES with a mention of several of the space weather instruments.

The video was time-stamped August 10, 2019, at 4:29 a.m. It appeared to show Epstein inside his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York, only hours before he was found dead. But the video turned out to be fake and was deleted minutes after its release.

NASA’s SpaceX 33rd Commercial Resupply Mission

A SpaceX Falcon 9 launched the company’s Dragon spacecraft carrying more than 5,000 pounds of food, crew supplies, science investigations, spacewalk equipment, and more to the space station on Aug. 24 from Launch Complex 39A.

Orion Tested, Stacked With Hardware

Teams transported NASA’s Orion spacecraft from Kennedy’s Multi-Payload Processing Facility to the Launch Abort System Facility in August where crews integrated the 44-foot-tall launch abort system.

The Orion spacecraft will send NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen around the Moon for the Artemis II mission in early 2026.

The launch abort system is designed to carry the crew to safety in the event of an emergency atop the SLS.

NASA’s IMAP (Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe) launched from Launch Complex 39A on Sept. 24, to help researchers better understand the boundary of the heliosphere, a huge bubble created by the Sun surrounding and protecting our solar system.

A Northrop Grumman Cygnus XL spacecraft atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Launch Complex 39A to the International Space Station delivering NASA science investigations, supplies, and equipment as part of the agency’s partnership to resupply the orbiting laboratory.

OCTOBER

Orion Integrated With SLS Rocket

Teams stacked NASA’s Orion spacecraft with its launch abort system on the agency’s SLS rocket in High Bay 3 of the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA Kennedy on Oct. 20 for the agency’s Artemis II mission.

Teams will begin conducting a series of verification tests ahead of rolling out the integrated SLS rocket to Launch Complex 39B for the wet dress rehearsal.

NOVEMBER

NASA’s ESCAPADE Begins Journey to Mars

NASA’s ESCAPADE (Escape and Plasma Acceleration and Dynamics Explorers) twin spacecraft launched aboard Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket on Nov. 13 from Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Its twin orbiters will take simultaneous observations from different locations around Mars to reveal how the solar wind interacts with Mars’ magnetic environment and how this interaction drives the planet’s atmospheric escape.

NASA, European Partners Launch Sea Satellite

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying the U.S.-European Sentinel-6B satellite launched at Nov. 16 from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

Sentinel-6B will observe Earth’s ocean, measuring sea levels to improve weather forecasts and flood predictions, safeguard public safety, benefit commercial industry, and protect coastal infrastructure.

DECEMBER

NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and CSA astronaut Jeremy Hansen participated in a dry dress rehearsal at NASA Kennedy on Dec. 20 to mimic launch day operations for the Artemis II launch.

The crew donned their spacesuits, exited the Neil A. Operations and Checkout Building, and took the journey to the Vehicle Assembly Building, up the mobile launcher to the crew access arm, and entered the Orion spacecraft that will take them around the Moon and back to Earth.

Judge Boasberg ORDERS Trump Administration to ALLOW Deported Venezuelans from El Salvador to RETURN to the U.S.

In a sweeping 43-page opinion released late Monday night, Boasberg declared that the United States allegedly maintained “constructive custody” over the Venezuelans even after they were transferred to El Salvador, thereby giving his court jurisdiction to intervene and order their return.

“In many constructive-custody cases, it is hard for a court to discern whether petitioners would be released upon a respondent’s request. Not so here. Petitioners have indeed been released upon the United States’s request. Since this Court’s June 4 Opinion, multiple developments have shown that the United States is able to request, and has successfully requested, the release of CECOT detainees.

First, after the Government was ordered to facilitate the return of Abrego Garcia from CECOT, he was brought back to the United States on June 6. This return followed public statements made by the President of the United States agreeing that he could “call up the president of El Salvador” to secure the return of detainees like Abrego Garcia.

Second, Plaintiffs in this case were indeed released upon the United States’s request, in what appears to be a clear prisoner exchange between our country and Venezuela.

In July, all 252 Venezuelans removed from the United States and detained in CECOT were sent to Venezuela. At the same time, ten U.S. nationals were released from Venezuela and sent back to the United States.

I’d argue that Seth’s case is far more significant than the pipe bomber because it will likely show that the FBI has known since September 2016 that Seth — and not Russian “hackers” — was the source of the DNC emails published by WikiLeaks.

I suspect “grand conspiracy” indictments will be coming out of the Southern District of Florida in January or February (former Obama CIA Director John Brennan acknowledged today that he is a target of the Florida grand jury), so maybe Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi want to keep the Seth Rich documents under wraps until the indictments are made public.

Is the government on the verge of acknowledging that Seth was the source rather than the Russians? (I’m really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt here.)

Meanwhile, where have GOP representatives and senators been for the last nine years?

Representative Thomas Massie has been all over the Epstein files, but never asked any questions about Seth.

Representative Barry Loudermilk has been all over January 6, but never asked any questions about Seth.

Are Representatives Andy Biggs, Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Senator Chuck Grassley, Representative Tim Burchett, Representative James Comer, et al., even aware of the ongoing FBI cover-up?
