Time to amend province's Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act to protect faith communities, policy experts say

COVID-19 restrictions imposed on places of worship were often more stringent than those applied to retail and liquor stores, despite the fact that the freedom of conscience and religion is a fundamental freedom, says a think tank calling for an update to Ontario’s Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.

“For example, in Step One of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen in May 2021, essential retail businesses and liquor stores could operate at 25 percent capacity, while indoor religious services were limited to 10 people regardless of the size of the house of worship,” said Cardus in a press release on April 12.

On May 20, 2021, the Ontario government announced its plan to reopen the province in three phases, with step one expected to proceed in the week of June 14, 2021. The province eventually moved into step one on June 11, 2021, three days ahead of schedule.

In a policy brief titled “Keeping Ontario’s Places of Worship Open During Emergencies,” authors Rev. Dr. Andrew Bennett, director of Cardus Religious Freedom, and Andreae Sennyah, Cardus Policy director, argue that houses of worship faced “unequal and occasionally arbitrary treatment” that “failed to recognize the distinct role of faith communities and the essential nature of public worship.”

“For many religious traditions, public or communal worship is fundamental not optional,” Bennett said in the release. “Governments, of course, may restrict gatherings and limit freedoms during emergencies, like a pandemic. But limits on houses of worship need to be proportionate to limits on other gathering places.”

The authors cited the example of Toronto’s St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica, which, if the government of Premier Doug Ford had not restricted it to 10 people, would have been able to accommodate 300 people, or 25 percent of its maximum capacity of 1,200 people at any one time for weddings, funerals, and religious services, rites, or ceremonies.

Health officials in British Columbia are going ahead with requiring all regulated health professionals to disclose their vaccination status to their respective regulatory colleges, though the province has recently abolished a rule that would require them to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to stay on their jobs.

Provincial Health Officer Bonnie Henry said earlier in April that she wants to give comfort to patients when they choose which medical professionals to see in the community, reported The Globe and Mail.

In a statement, the Office of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) said it “is taking steps to support people in B.C. to make informed decisions about their own care with respect to whether or not to see an unvaccinated health provider in private practice in the community.”

“The purposes of this PHO order are to determine the level of vaccination in each health profession as a whole and to understand the distribution of vaccination in health professionals across the province.”

Henry had issued an order on March 7 requiring B.C.’s health practitioners to register their vaccination status with their respective health regulatory bodies by March 31, saying that an unvaccinated registrant who provides services “puts persons at risk of infection” with COVID-19, and “constitutes a health hazard.”

A Chinese firm that specializes in industrial explosives is planning to acquire a more than 10 percent stake in a Canadian lithium company for $5 million.

On April 17, China-based company Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group Co. Ltd. (Yahua Group) announced its plan to acquire 13.2 percent of Ultra Lithium Inc., a Vancouver-based lithium and gold exploration firm, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Yahua International Investment and Development Co. Ltd.

The deal signed between the two companies will also see Yahua International acquiring a 60 percent stake in a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ultra Lithium that has two lithium mining projects in Ontario, at Forgan Lake and Georgia Lake.

Due to the local geology, Yahua Group said the two projects offer high potential for the discovery of large spodumene deposits. Spodumene is an essential source of lithium used in ceramics, cellphones, and car batteries, among several uses.

The joint venture will see the construction of a lithium concentrate mining and processing plant with the capacity to produce 200,000 tons of lithium oxide a year for at least the first 10 years of operation, a capacity that could subsequently be doubled following that first phase, according to Yahua Group.

The company, based in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in China, added that the deal will help secure its upstream resources in the lithium sector. The board of directors of the joint venture will have five members, three of whom will be nominated by Yahua International and two by Ultra Lithium.

This acquisition of a Canadian lithium-mining firm by a China-based company follows another such acquisition earlier this year, this time by a state-owned company.

A defence expert has told a parliamentary safety committee that threats of disinformation from Russia and China are “highly overblown and exaggerated” and that the government should focus on Canada’s real vulnerabilities, like those involving nuclear strikes.

Deputy Director of the University of Manitoba’s Centre for Defence and Security Studies James Fergusson told the Commons public safety committee on Apr. 4 that the threat posed by disinformation had been overemphasized and that government attempts to censor perceived misinformation would “definitely…backfire.”

“I think it’s very important that the committee and the government do not overreact, if not go into panic, with regard to existing vulnerabilities both in the cyberworld and defence world of Canada from Russian capabilities,” said Fergusson.

“In terms of disinformation, I’m not one who believes that Russian disinformation, Chinese disinformation or anyone’s disinformation campaigns really have much of an effect at all. I think that’s highly overblown and exaggerated.”

Fergusson said that defence priorities should focus on deterring first strike nuclear capabilities and enforcing current systems like NORAD.

“We have significant gaps and vulnerabilities which have existed for over a decade in terms of the ability of NORAD, and as a result Canada, to be able to detect these threats, to track them, to discriminate, and then to be able to cue interception capabilities,” said Fergusson. Continue...

Ontario Liberal Party Leader Steven Del Duca has said that if he is elected premier of Ontario in the upcoming election, he will move to ban law-abiding Canadians from possessing handguns in the province.

According to Del Duca, the ban would be a top priority for the Liberals if they won power. He vowed to put it in place within a year of being in government.

“I’ve had it with Doug Ford’s open for business policy for guns,” said Del Duca on Tuesday. “The Ford Conservatives are putting the interests of the gun lobby ahead of the Ontario victims of gun crime they swore an oath to protect. The result is handgun violence is spiraling out of control.”

“The choice on handguns is clear, more handguns and gun crime under the Ford Conservatives or a ban on handguns under the Ontario Liberals.”

Handguns are strictly regulated across the country. Canadians are currently required by law to carry a restricted licence to legally possess the firearm. Those who are licensed to possess handguns must also follow special requirements that dictate storage, display, transportation and handling.

The organizations want an independent investigation into 'the use of state and police powers to suppress constitutional rights.'

A group of 15 civil liberties organizations demanded an open “public” independent inquiry be held to scrutinize Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shutting down the trucker Freedom Convoy though the use of the Emergencies Act (EA).

As reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, late last week the civil liberties organizations argued together in a joint petition that it is concerned about “the use of state and police powers to suppress constitutional rights.”

The group is also concerned that such an inquiry into the use of the EA could be “marred by partisan fights.”

Cara Zwibel, who serves as the director for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) of Toronto, said as reported by Blacklock’s Reporter that the Trudeau government “may have an incentive to keep” any inquiries “secretive and closed.”

Zwibel said that the group wants to “avoid” the inquiry into the use of the EA from happening only behind closed doors, noting that it should be “a public process” as well.

Having a federal inquiry into the matter petitioned the civil liberty groups should be a process that is “designed around the pillars of transparency, openness and meaningful accountability.” Continue...

Even more troublesome, leaders are forecasting Netflix will lose a whopping 2 million more subscribers this spring — potentially the largest quarterly loss of customers in its history.

The guidance paints a bleak financial outlook for Netflix, whose main revenue stream is paying customers.

In a letter to investors, Netflix blamed password sharing and increased competition from other streamers including Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video for what it euphemistically called “revenue growth headwinds.”

Netflix recently began cracking down in earnest on password sharing, which reportedly costs the company billions of dollars a year. Among its strategies is to charges subscribers who share their passwords with people outside of their households.

On Tuesday, Netflix made no reference to customers who have grown increasingly alienated by its woke content and close Democratic party affiliations. Netflix’s top executives backed the campaigns of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as those of radical leftists like Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon, whose soft-on-crime policies have led to a spike in homicides and other violent crimes.

Netflix also failed to mention recent price hikes for all domestic subscribers, with its premium plan rising from $17.99 to $19.99 a month.

Last quarter, the company failed to meet subscriber expectations, prompting a mass sell-off in its stock.

Hollywood screenwriters have been scolded by a green group and urged to improve their narrative on “climate change” by embracing the group’s playbook released Tuesday designed to enhance correct thinking on global warming.

The result will see more climate activism than ever before on screens large and small while not necessarily imitating the The Day After Tomorrow (2004), the most famous example of a climate disaster film when the planet is beset by superstorms, hurricanes and tsunamis.

The new call is for subtle messages built around key words and scenarios.

Only a sliver of screen fiction, 2.8 perhaps, refers to climate change-related words, according to a study of 37,453 film and TV scripts from 2016-20 that is the basis for the climate guide, AP reports.

Good Energy: A Playbook for Screenwriting in the Age of Climate Change is designed to address that.

It was created with feedback from more than 100 film and TV writers, said Anna Jane Joyner, editor-in-chief of the playbook and founder of Good Energy, a nonprofit consultancy.

“A big hurdle that we encountered was that writers were associating climate stories with apocalypse stories,” she said in an interview with AP. “The main purpose of the playbook is to expand that menu of possibilities….to a larger array of how it would be showing up in our real life.”

The Crown laid additional charges on Tuesday against Pat King, the last of the high-profile trucker convoy protesters to remain behind bars.

King was charged with three counts of perjury and three counts of obstruction of justice.

These now pile on the 10 other previously laid charges, including mischief, intimidation, obstructing police, and disobeying a court order.

King was arrested on Feb. 18 in Ottawa on the first day of the police clearing operation of the convoy protest, after the federal government invoked the Emergencies Act on Feb. 14.

Unlike other protesters charged in relation to the same event, King has yet to secure bail.

King has had trouble retaining a lawyer, and at a bail hearing on April 13 he was represented by attorney David Goodman, but the latter’s computer was apparently hacked during the hearing.

He has now retained the services of criminal defence attorney Natasha Calvinho.

Steeve Charland, who was involved on the Gatineau side of the protest, was released on March 21 on a $22,000 bond, and convoy organizer Tamara Lich was released on March 7 on a $25,000 bond. Chris Barber was released a day after his arrest on Feb. 17 on a reported $100,000 bond. All have severe bail conditions such as refraining from using social media or contacting protest organizers.

Keith Wilson, a lawyer representing the Freedom Convoy, has said that King was not one of the organizers of the protest.

“I can confirm that the legal lawsuit relating to the injunction was framed as though Pat King is part of the Freedom Convoy, and I confirmed in writing to the personal injury lawyer and I made representations directly to the court to confirm that … these folks, the Freedom Convoy, have no affiliation with Mr. King whatsoever,” Wilson said at a press conference on Feb. 6.

“These folks” was a reference to the individuals sitting beside him, Daniel Bulford, Tamara Lich, and Benjamin Dichter. Bulford was arrested but not charged, and Dichter was never arrested.

The injunction relates to a civil suit that was initiated against protest organizers by an Ottawa resident.

King’s social media posts and participation in the protest have been used by opponents to paint the movement as fringe and extremist.

In a video reportedly posted online on Dec. 16, King can be heard saying “the only way this is going to be solved is with bullets.” It’s unclear what “this” refers to.

During a meeting of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Public Safety on Feb. 25, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino said Convoy organizers and leaders of the movement have publicly made statements calling for the overthrow of the government with violence and “through the use of bullets.”

Mendicino didn’t specify whether he was alluding to that video of King in particular.

Meanwhile, Freedom Convoy organizers have always insisted their movement was committed to non-violence and that every allegation of dangerous or violent acts by protesters in Ottawa has remained unproven or debunked, such as the presence of loaded firearms or involvement in arson.

Poultry farmers in British Columbia are under pressure to protect their flocks as a highly contagious strain of avian flu sweeps over North America.

Ray Nickel, spokesman for the B.C. Poultry Association Emergency Operations Centre, says they’ll use the lessons learned to prevent infections after two severe outbreaks since 2004 that forced them to cull millions of birds.

The H5N1 strain of avian flu is highly pathogenic and can cause serious disease and death in birds, says the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Nickel, a commercial poultry farmer in Abbotsford and member of the BC Chicken Marketing Board, said farmers are worried after a case of avian flu was confirmed on a North Okanagan farm last week.

“It’s so virulent, and there’s a degree of concern that we have for our animals because the impact is so severe,” he said. “I feel for my peers in the other provinces that are experiencing it in a more significant way than we are at this point, but it does elicit an amount of fear in us that just isn’t very comfortable.”

Outbreaks of the same strain have also been detected in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said last week this has been an unprecedented year globally for avian flu. It said it believes migratory birds are responsible for the outbreaks, and expects there will be more cases as flocks continue to fly north for the summer.

Previous outbreaks in B.C. and elsewhere in Canada led to the destruction of millions of birds. After firing thousands of healthcare workers over vaccinate mandates, the British Columbia government has announced it will spend $12 million to fast-track the registration and licensing process for foreign-trained nurses to address critical staffing shortages.

The funding includes $9 million in bursaries to help around 1600 foreign-trained nurses with the costs of assessment fees.

“Our government is committed to addressing the province’s demand for nurses,” said B.C. health minister Adrian Dix on Tuesday. “That’s why we’re launching this comprehensive suite of supports for internationally educated nurses to help them put their skills to use here in B.C.”

The nursing shortage in B.C. – which, as with many provinces, was at crisis levels before the pandemic – was intensified during the fall and winter when vaccine mandates preceded a hospitalization spike over the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Looking at pledges of military aid to Ukraine between the start of the Russian invasion and March 27, Statista's Katharina Buchholz details below that the U.S. government has committed to providing the most arms, weapons and other equipment by far.

Almost $4.8 billion in military aid was pledged up until the given date, according to the Ukraine Support Tracker by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. This number could soon rise even more as the White House is reportedly preparing another substantial military aid package. Together with a similar package announced in mid-April, the new funding round would up U.S. military aid to Ukraine by another $1.6 billion.

Second-ranked Estonia has pledged far less - $240 million – in the given time frame, but the military aid committed to by the country amounts up to 0.8 percent of the small nation’s GDP. This is far more in relative terms than any of the pledges of the other top donors to Ukraine, even when combining military, financial and humanitarian aid commitments. The U.S.’ combined pledge of around $8.3 billion in humanitarian and military aid only amounts up to approximately 0.04 percent of its GDP.

The next biggest donors of military aid to Ukraine are the UK, Italy, Sweden and Germany.

One of Ukraine’s larger neighbors, Poland, appears further down the list, having pledged very little military aid to the country, instead concentrating on financial aid commitments of around $900 million, making it the second-largest overall donor to Ukraine after the U.S.

The IfW Kiel's Ukraine Support Tracker systematically records the value of support that the governments of 31 Western countries have pledged to Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022. Bob Rae, Canada’s ambassador to the United Nations, is now banned from entering Russia, as well as five premiers including Ontario’s Doug Ford, Alberta’s Jason Kenney and British Columbia’s John Horgan.

Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem, Vice-Admiral Craig Baines, who is commander of the Royal Canadian Navy, the prime minister’s chief of staff Katie Telford and former senator Romeo Dallaire are also on the list.

The sanctions also target Canadian journalists such as Globe and Mail international correspondent Mark MacKinnon and National Post columnist John Ivison, as well as the editor-in-chief of the Globe and the president and CEO of CBC.

Russia says on its Foreign Ministry website that these individuals are all “directly involved in the development, substantiation and implementation of the Russophobic course of the ruling regime in Canada.”

When we – and others – linked to the public submissions page, there was such a response that the WHO’s website actually briefly crashed, or they pretended it crashed so people would stop sending them letters.

The GPHC report goes on to say that the current International Health Regulations are “too weak”, and calls for the creation of a new “independent” international body to “assess government preparedness” and “publicly rebuke or praise countries, depending on their compliance with a set of agreed requirements”.

Another article, published by the London School of Economics and co-written by members of the German Alliance on Climate Change and Health (KLUG), also pushes the idea of “accountability” and “compliance” pretty hard:

Vaccine-free Canadians hoping to cross into the United States via a land border will still be banned from entry after the Biden administration extended a rule mandating that non-U.S. citizens going into the U.S. have the COVID shots.

According to an update yesterday from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the vaccine mandate for land border crossings remains in place indefinitely.

“As of Thursday, April 21, 2022, DHS will extend COVID-19-related land border entry requirements. Non-U.S. travelers seeking to enter the United States via land ports of entry and ferry terminals at the U.S.-Mexico and U.S.-Canada borders are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon request,” the DHS said.

The department noted that the restrictions apply to “non-U.S. travelers who are traveling for essential or non-essential reasons. They do not apply to U.S. citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents, or U.S. nationals.”

The “temporary rule” mandating COVID jabs via land border crossings was originally put in place on January 22. According to the U.S Federal Registry, it was set to expire at midnight April 21 before being extended.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau flew over 50,000 km in the past seven weeks – all while touting the Liberal government’s plan to cap emissions in the oil and gas sector by 40%.

An investigation by the National Post revealed that of the 127,147 km Trudeau has flown since last June, 50,680 km of his travel took place in the last seven weeks alone. As the outlet notes, the total distance – in terms of burning jet fuel – is the equivalent of travelling around the world three times.

Trudeau and his team flew domestically on a fleet of bombardier Challenger 650s and internationally on a configured military jet, the CC-150 Polaris.

Out of all the flights Trudeau has taken since resuming travel after pandemic lockdowns, the longest was his 6,588 km trip from Warsaw, Poland to Ottawa on Mar. 11. His longest domestic flight was his controversial Sept. 30 vacation to Tofino. A small plane killed two people as it crashed near a General Mills plant in Georgia on Thursday night.

The plane reportedly exploded on impact and came close to demolishing the cereal manufacturer’s facility.

The crash near the General Mills plant comes after a string of food processing plants have been set ablaze across the United States over the past six months amid soaring food prices and historic inflation.

Now the FBI is warning of possible cyber attacks on food plants in the US.

“Ransomware actors may be more likely to attack agricultural cooperatives during critical planting and harvest seasons, disrupting operations, causing financial loss, and negatively impacting the food supply chain,” the notice read, adding 2021 and early 2022 ransomware attacks on farming co-ops could affect the current planting season “by disrupting the supply of seeds and fertilizer.”

The agency warned, “A significant disruption of grain production could impact the entire food chain, since grain is not only consumed by humans but also used for animal feed … In addition, a significant disruption of grain and corn production could impact commodities trading and stocks. “

Rockefeller Foundation President Starts Countdown Until All Hell Breaks Loose

Rockefeller Foundation President Rajiv Shah told Bloomberg Television’s David Westin a “massive, immediate food crisis” is on the horizon.

Shah provides what could be a timeline for the next global food crisis that could begin “in the next six months.”

He said global fertilizer supply disruptions caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine would have an “even worse” impact on the crisis, slashing crop yields worldwide.

Shah said debt relief and emergency aid for emerging market countries are needed to mitigate the effects of the food crisis.

Shah’s appearance on Bloomberg is interesting because of the foundation’s repetitive talk about the need for the global food supply to be reset to a more sustainable one. The foundation has closely aligned views with the World Economic Forum (WEF), advocating for a ‘global reset‘.

WEF founder Klaus Schwab famously said in early 2020, months after the virus pandemic began, “The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world to create a healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous future.”

While Schwab and other global elites have been calling for a global reset, Rockefeller Foundation’s managing director of Food Initiative Sara Farley has echoed the same message.

Farley’s note published on WEF’s website titled “How to reimagine our food systems for a post-COVID world” outlined the need to “redesign supply chains with nutrition and human health in mind.”

Rockefeller Foundation’s senior vice president of Food Initiative Roy Steiner recently said, “the world is spending far too much on foods that are bad for people and bad for the planet.”

And what could Steiner likely be referring to? Ah yes, possibly cattle farming and how it uses massive amounts of natural resources, such as water and feed, to produce meat. WEF has advocated the need for the global food supply to inject insects into human diets.

Shah’s timeline for the next food crisis is an ominous warning that elites will use the events as a perfect opportunity to implement their plan to begin the transformation of the food supply system. Meat becomes a delicacy for the rich while the working-poor are stuck eating insects and berries. The great reset is well underway.

Research conducted by the Department of Natural Resources concluded that most Canadians simply found electric vehicles to be too expensive to purchase.

So how has the government responded to this information?

They are expanding the range of their subsidy program to cover vehicles worth as much as $70,000 in some cases. It used to cap out at $55,000. If people couldn’t afford to get into an electric vehicle worth $55,000 with a $5,000 price break, why would the government think they would buy into a $70,000 one? We are witnessing government logic at its best here.

Social credit scores are already in use in various places around the world, but nowhere more than in the communist hell hole that is China. The dystopian measurement acts in a similar fashion to a traditional credit score, however, as the name indicates, one’s score has little to do with their financial prospects or ability to pay off debt on time – social scores are all about your level of compliance to the regime and acceptance of the approved narrative.

For example, if social credit scores were in full effect in the United States and you were to donate money to a company like the National Rifle Association (NRA) or buy stocks in oil – pretty much anything deemed far-right or environmentally damaging by the establishment – your score would take a hit. Too many hits and, you guessed it, there goes your purchasing power and ability.

With this dystopian coercion tool being used in an authoritarian dictatorship like China, where there is no such thing as individual rights or free speech, it could be easily assumed that this system would not be compatible with the United States, or even the West more broadly, but sadly that’s not the case.

Governments across the western world are exploring using this tool, especially in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, which proved that the government can obtain almost limitless power in a crisis and set the stage for the next phase of the World Economic Forum’s project 2030 – where the plan is that you will “own nothing and be happy.”

A public inquiry investigating the mass shooting in Nova Scotia is scheduled to resume today in Halifax with a focus on the replica RCMP police car the killer drove and the police gear he acquired.

The perpetrator meticulously recreated a fully marked RCMP Ford Taurus—complete with a black push bar, flashing lights and a siren—before driving it during the April 18-19, 2020, rampage that resulted in 22 murders over 13 hours.

The inquiry is expected to hear summaries from the commission’s investigators about the efforts of police to determine what kind of car the killer was driving and the police paraphernalia he acquired.

It will also hear testimony from a witness about how the perpetrator acquired decals for the vehicle and various other police paraphernalia prior to his murders.

The inquiry has to date heard summaries of the perpetrator’s actions and the police response, from the first 911 call from Portapique, N.S., through to two RCMP members shooting and killing the perpetrator at a gas station in Enfield, N.S.

The hearings are shifting from the Halifax Convention Centre to the Prince George Hotel today.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has announced that due to the Freedom Convoy, they will now bar “vehicle-based or supported protests” from the downtown core, including a motorcycle convoy heading to the city this weekend to celebrate freedom.

The event dubbed “Rolling Thunder” is estimated to have attracted between 500 and 1000 people, who are set to arrive in the nation’s capital on Friday and leave Sunday. The OPS announcement means that rally participants will now be barred from using their vehicles downtown.

Police will be creating “vehicle exclusion zones” which covers a large portion of the city’s downtown core.

“We have identified that based on what’s occurred in our city over the last number of months, that vehicle-based protests shouldn’t occur in that area,” said Ottawa Police Steve Bell on 580 CFRA.

“Our communities are scarred by what happened in February. They were deeply hurt and deeply affected by that. They expect us to maintain community safety and well-being in their areas, and we’re putting plans in place to make sure we do that.”

People can expect to see road closures as well as an increase in police presence downtown. OPS will be receiving backup support from the RCMP and the Ontario Provincial Police.

While OPS is referring to the motorcycle convoy as a protest, organizers say it is a celebration.

“What we are there to do is to celebrate our freedom,” said an organizer who goes by “brother Neil.” “This is not a protest of the government. We’ve already done that and exposed them, so this is about bikes.”

According to a schedule posted to Rolling Thunder’s website, the bikers will arrive on the evening of Apr. 29. They will hold a rally and march on Parliament Hill followed by an afterparty.

On Saturday, the bikers will head to the National War Memorial at 10:00am for a memorial service hosted by the advocacy group Veterans for Freedom. They will then gather for another rally on Parliament Hill at 2:00pm, which will feature controversial public figure Chris Sky as a guest speaker.

The bikers also plan to do a bike show as well as a church service Sunday morning at Ottawa’s Capital City Bikers Church.

The companies’ submissions to Canadian Heritage’s “online harms” consultation were shared by University of Ottawa law professor Michael Geist, who posted them on his blog. Bill C-11 seeks to subject streaming and social media platforms to government regulations.

In addition to Twitter, Pinterest and Microsoft, firms that gave their input on the government’s plans included TikTok and Canada’s largest telecoms companies (Bell, Rogers, Telus, Cogeco, Quebecor and Shaw), which issued a joint submission.

A team of researchers from health agencies in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway found that rates of myocarditis and pericarditis, two forms of potentially life-threatening heart inflammation, were higher in those who had received one or two doses of either mRNA-based vaccine – Pfizer’s or Moderna’s.

In all, researchers studied a total of 23.1 million records on individuals aged 12 or older between December 2020 and October 2021. On Monday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said Warsaw has delivered tanks to Ukraine as the US and its NATO allies are working to provide Kyiv with heavier weapons despite warnings from Moscow.

Morawiecki wouldn’t detail what types of tanks or how many were sent to Ukraine. Earlier this month, the Czech Republic sent over a dozen Soviet-designed T-72 tanks, and other NATO members are planning to get more tanks into Kyiv’s hands.

In the face of criticism for not sending heavy equipment into Ukraine, Germany announced a plan last week to backfill the stocks of European countries that have Soviet-made equipment that can be used by Ukrainian forces. Slovenia is expected to send a large number of T-72 tanks to Ukraine in exchange for German-made Marder tanks, and Fox wheeled tanks.

The UK announced Monday a plan to send Stormer armored vehicles armed with anti-aircraft missile launchers to Ukraine. “I can now announce to the House that we will be gifting a small number of armored vehicles fitted with launchers for those anti-air missiles,” British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said.

The Pentagon said last week that Kyiv has received fighter jets but wouldn’t say which country they came from. Poland had previously offered to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine by giving them to the US first, but the Pentagon backed out of the plan.

"Russia has halted gas deliveries to Poland under the Yamal contract, Onet.pl website reports citing Polish government sources it didn’t name."

Markets are reacting immediately on the reports with European gas prices exploding 17% higher on the news...

Additionally, Bloomberg reports that Onet says it has also confirmed the news at PGNiG, Poland’s dominant gas company.

Poland's Climate Ministry has reportedly called an emergency meeting to discuss the issue.

The report out of Polish national news indicates that formal government announcements are to be made later in the day, likely within hours...

Russia has suspended gas supplies to Poland under the Yamal contract, Onet has learned unofficially. A crisis team has gathered at the Ministry of Climate. There is no announcement from Russia as to whether this is the fulfillment of the ultimatum that Vladimir Putin recently threatened. Official announcements on this matter are to be released today.

A month ago as Poland took steps to wind down all Russian oil imports by end of the year, other European countries also began warning their populations on the need to conserve natural gas usage amid potential severe supply shortages.

Also potentially behind this reported halt in Russian gas is that on Monday for the first time Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki confirmed that his country has sent tanks to Ukraine.:

"Yes," Morawiecki said when asked if Poland had or would send tanks to Ukraine. He declined to reveal any further details including the number of tanks sent.

This follows in March Warsaw attempting to send MiG-29 jets to Ramstein Air Base for the US to deliver them to Kiev - something which the Pentagon rejected as premature and high risk.

Poland is also hosting US troops, who are lately engaged in training Ukrainian forces on advanced weaponry like drones. If these fresh reports of a gas shutoff to Poland are confirmed, it appears that Moscow has had enough.

The mayor of Delta, British Columbia has brazenly demanded that income raised by the pro-life Delta Hospice Society (DHS) be diverted to government-run hospices that commit to euthanizing sick people.

As reported in the Surrey Now-Leader, Delta Mayor George Harvie demanded from British Columbia Premier John Horgan that he must take “whatever steps” are needed to make sure the money raised from the DHS-owned Hospice Cottage Charity Shoppe supports government-run hospice services.

The request from Harvie was made in a letter dated April 13 and came only a week after the DHS voted in a 100 percent pro-life board of directors and life-affirming constitution.

Said Harvie to Horgan in the letter, “I would urge you to take whatever steps you can to ensure that thrift store assets and revenue are restored to the Irene Thomas Hospice as originally intended by the Delta community.”

Harvie in his letter also wrote that “The Delta Hospice Society does not represent the interests of the Delta community,” as its “board has been actively recruiting members who are sympathetic to their religious and pro-life beliefs.”

Angelina Ireland, president of the DHS, told LifeSiteNews that Harvie has been on a two-year “campaign to disparage the Delta Hospice Society and its board of directors.”

“He has spoken at rallies and on the radio demanding our resignations because we refused to kill our patients in our hospice,” said Ireland.

“Is his worship, Delta Mayor George Harvie, suggesting that in his city private businesses should be concerned that their private assets will be seized to fund causes that he is passionate about? We at the Delta Hospice Society will defend our private property rights and we call on all Canadians concerned about constitutional freedoms to stand with us.”

While the rising cost of living is a major issue for many Canadians, pay cheques continue to climb for those working at the country's state broadcaster.

Canada's state broadcaster is set to dish out more than $12 million in pay raises this year.

The information about the pandemic windfall for staff at the taxpayer-funded CBC comes from an access to information filing done by Rebel News.

We asked the government:

Please provide the amount of employees that received a pay raise in 2020, and in 2021 (separately). Please also provide the cost of said pay raises for 2020, and 2021. Omit pay raises due to promotion to new positions, but include step pay raises. Provide records for calendar year 2020, and calendar year 2021.

In 2020-2021, 6,700 employees at the CBC received a cumulative $11,989,307 in pay raises.

For the current year to date, with the information up to March 21, 2022, 5,240 employees of CBC have received a total of $9,218,379 in salary hikes.

Average Canadians, meanwhile, admit to feeling squeezed. A recent poll conducted by Angus Reid found that 53% of Canadians felt they could not keep up with the rising cost of living.

“Canadians’ household budgets are becoming squeezed from all angles as the price of goods rises,” the report says. “The costs of food, gasoline, and energy in particular are adding to household bills.”

In January 2022, Canada’s annual inflation rate reached 5.1%, the highest rate in three decades. Inflation outpaced wage increases of 2.4% over the same period.

China reported its first case of H3N8 bird flu on Tuesday.

According to Reuters, a 4-year-old boy from central Henan province developed a fever and symptoms on April 5 after coming in contact with chickens raised at his residence.

Reuters reported:

A four-year-old boy from central Henan province was found to have been infected with the variant after developing a fever and other symptoms on April 5.

No close contacts were infected with the virus, the National Health Commission (NHC) said in a statement.

The child had been in contact with chickens and crows raised at his home, it added.

The H3N8 variant has previously been detected elsewhere in the world in horses, dogs, birds and seals, but no human cases of H3N8 have been reported, said the NHC.

The commission said an initial assessment determined the variant did not yet have the ability to effectively infect humans, and the risk of a large-scale epidemic was low.

Large Calgary-based oil company Canadian Natural Resources Ltd is facing dozens of lawsuits from former employees who were fired for refusing COVID jabs.

According to CTVNews, with CNRL being a massive oil producer with over 9,000 employees and a company valuation of more than $100 billion, some of the lawsuits filed by former employees are seeking damages that exceed $1 million due to the large sums of money workers lost out on when they were fired for refusing the experimental vaccine.

One plaintiff, Rick Ducharme, worked for CNRL for 15 years before being dismissed for taking a stance against the mandatory injection policy and told CTVNews that what his former employer has done to him is “beyond immoral.”

“[W]hat they’ve done is cruel, they’ve punished a lot of people they should not have punished, there is a lot of people who are hurting from this and I wish they would’ve rethought their approach to this,” said Ducharme, adding that he “loved” his job and the company he worked for.

According to Sarah Coderre, partner and co-founder of Bow River Employment Law, the success of such lawsuits is uncertain, and “Ultimately, it comes down to how the courts are going to view their vaccine mandates in the future.”

On February 14, Trudeau invoked the never-before-used Emergencies Act in response to the three-week, non-violent, anti-COVID mandate “Freedom Convoy” protest in Ottawa.

The unprecedented decision allowed Trudeau to deploy the national police force to physically remove the largely peaceful demonstration as well as compel financial institutions to freeze the bank accounts of private citizens involved in the civil liberties protest.

Despite Trudeau getting confirmation from the House of Commons to continue the emergency action on February 21, two days later he abruptly revoked the act on February 23, with McPhedran’s statements now confirming that the decision to end the act was due to pressure from senators and other politicians, including those within his own party

Trudeau’s decision to use the Emergencies Act has been the subject of immense controversy since it was first announced, with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association launching a lawsuit against the federal government citing that there was no constitutional justification for invoking the measure.

Since then, a special parliamentary committee has been convened to investigate Trudeau’s unprecedented action to determine if the invocation of the measure did indeed violate the constitutional rights of Canadians.

A January 2022 report from Canada’s Minister of National Defence Advisory Panel recommended that the Defence Minister “redefine” chaplaincy to exclude religions that do not support LGBTQ and a “gender equality” ideology.

The report, published January 7 and was addressed to Minister of National Defence Anita Anand, says that due to the Canadian “Defence Team” and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) having a commitment to “equality and inclusivity,” it is “inconsistent” to continue hiring “(c)haplaincy applicants affiliated with religious groups whose values are not aligned with those of the Defence Team.”

While not outlining specific examples of which religions the panel is referring to, the report uses the example that “some churches’ exclusion of women from their priesthoods violates principles of equality and social justice” while also mentioning that “religion can be source of suffering and generational trauma,” especially for “many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and two-spirited members of Canadian society.”

Another example the report gives for unacceptable religious practices within the Defence Team is a religion that has “strict tenets requiring conversion of those they deem to be ‘pagan,’ or who belong to polytheistic religions.”

Citing “cabinet confidentiality,” the government of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is refusing to disclose why it used the Emergencies Act (EA) to crush the trucker Freedom Convoy in response to a rash of legal challenges against its use.

Currently, four legal organizations are challenging the Trudeau government. The EA was enacted on February 14 to shut down the Freedom Convoy, which took to the streets of Ottawa for three weeks demanding an end to all COVID mandates.

According to a recent report in the Globe and Mail, court documents show that the “confidentiality” of what goes on in Trudeau’s cabinet is being used as the reason the government will not divulge details of why it used the EA.

Canada’s Evidence Act says that when a government wants to use “cabinet confidentiality,” federal courts will refuse to look at evidence relating to any cases.

Trudeau revoked the EA on February 23 after protesters had been cleared out.

As reported by the Globe and Mail, the Trudeau government will look to argue that because the EA has now been rescinded, the case is now more or less over.

The Privy Council Office said the government needed to conduct consultations that would require a lengthy extension before documents could be turned over.

In a reply sent this week to a Rebel News access request for documents pertaining to Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland's role at the World Economic Forum, the Privy Council Office has taken a 15-month delay in turning over records and communications.

Freeland is a current member of the board of trustees at the WEF.

The PCO letter noted the need to undertake “consultations” before releasing the information, and that “as a result, an extension of up to 14 months beyond the 30-day statutory deadline is required to complete your request. Please note that the new legislated due date is July 1, 2023.”

That's approximately 12 Trudeau vacations, a fall fiscal update, one federal budget and a Davos summit away.

For context, Freeland was able to destroy Thomson Reuters Digital after being named the digital editor in roughly the same amount of time as this access delay.

The next Davos Summit of the World Economic Forum is slated for May 22, 2022.

Marcon’s move to implement the Chinese style social credit system sparked the fury of Les Patriotes leader Florian Philippot who called on French voters to rise up and fight against the new legislation.

He said: “Just after the election, the government announces the launch of ‘a digital identity application’!”The goal: to put social credit in the Chinese way. Control and surveillance company!

“Let’s totally reject this application and fight by any means!”

French voters also voiced their dissent over the new digital ID plans.

French Twitter user Chrisoff wrote: “One more step towards absolute control of citizens.“

Twitter user The Q2 Observer echoed: “A decree has been published for the creation of the SGIN, the mobile app that will scan the biometric ID to access public or private services.

“In France for the moment, soon the same everywhere.

“What is optional and trivial at the beginning will be essential and cumbersome in the long term. Resist!”

And Twitter user John Aimare added: “It’s all starting to get very dystopian… The SGIN to connect to Twitter, Facebook or any other social exchange platform.

“The DSA providing the framework to monitor and punish you.”

French voters will head to the polls again in June for the parliamentary elections where Mr Macron’s party faces the risk of losing its majority to either Marine Le Pen or Jean-Luc Melenchon, the Express reports.

According to an Elabe opinion poll published on Wednesday, six out of 10 French people do not want President Macron’s party to win a majority at the June election.

Health Canada is reviewing the first request to approve a COVID-19 vaccine for very young kids.

The Moderna application is for children between the ages of six months and five years old.

The company says a trial of 6,700 children determined the vaccine was safe and produced a similar antibody response to the one that is seen in adults.

A single dose for children under six is 25 micrograms—one quarter of the size given to adults and teenagers and half the size used for children ages six to 11.

Health Canada received Moderna’s application this morning after the company made a similar request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Thursday.

The trial took place mainly during the wave of the Omicron variant and the vaccine was less effective at preventing infection in kids than previous trials in adults.

Nearly six million Canadians are still unable to fly or take a train due to the proof of vaccination requirements the Liberals have imposed on federally regulated industries.

The Ottawa Police Services Board as well as Ottawa's interim police chief, Steve Bell, who oversaw the police brutality in February against peaceful convoy protesters, have authorized the deployment of 800 RCMP officers to be able to conduct policing inside the city.

Bell promised yet another Venezuelan-style crackdown on the protest though there has been no indication that it will turn to violence.

According to documents obtained by The Counter Signal, some of which have mysteriously disappeared from the Elections Canada website, Justice Paul S. Rouleau has funnelled money year after year to the Liberal Party.

Earlier today, Trudeau announced the establishment of the Public Order Emergency Commission, led by Rouleau as Commissioner, to investigate Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act.

Outside the financial loyalty to Trudeau, it is not immediately clear what makes Rouleau qualified to chair such a crucial commission.

Rouleau’s Wikipedia page is only 34 words long, but financial contributions made by him to the Liberals tell a much more detailed story.

The City of Hamilton is moving forward with its plans to terminate unvaccinated city staff.

On Wednesday, the city council voted to keep the policy in place despite a staff report that recommended scrapping the policy. Hamilton employees will have until May 31 to show proof of vaccination.

A staff report released in April recommended the city drop its vaccine mandate for staff. The report argued that the city’s policy should be in line with the province.

In February, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore said vaccine mandates have “served their purpose.” Ontario dropped its vaccine mandate in most settings in March.

According to CP24, a union representing public transit staff in the city is vowing to fight the mandate. According to Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 107, the city’s decision could cost taxpayers “$500,00 for unnecessary litigation.”

“It is irresponsible for this city council to cast a vote to terminate hard working employees, who have served on the front lines for the last two years during COVID-19, especially during times without any protection,” ATU Local 107 said in a statement.” Continue...

In the now-deleted tweet, British Columbia's New Democratic Party premier John Horgan immediately assumed that a drive-by act which took place at the Jamia Masjid Mosque was a racially-charged crime.

On April 27, 2022, just before 11:00 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report that water had been thrown from a moving vehicle at three pedestrians from the Muslim community, who were walking in the area of 124 Street and 72A Avenue.

However, Surrey RCMP issued a statement to clarify:

The investigation found that this was not a racially-motivated hate crime. All occupants of the suspect vehicle were teenagers who are part of the Muslim community."

Judicial Watch announced today that it received 466 pages of records from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding biodistribution studies and related data for the COVID-19 vaccines that show a key component of the vaccines developed by Pfizer/BioNTech, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), were found outside the injection site, mainly the liver, adrenal glands, spleen and ovaries of test animals, eight to 48 hours after injection.

Pfizer/BioNTech’s mRNA-based COVID vaccine relies on LNPs as a delivery system. Pfizer said in a January 10, 2022 press release that Acuitas Therapeutics LNP technology is used in COMIRNATY, the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Judicial Watch also received 663 pages of records from HHS regarding biodistribution studies and related data for COVID-19 vaccines, which show that Johnson & Johnson relied on studies showing that vaccine DNA particles and injected virus particles were still present in test animals months after injection.

The records also show that Johnson & Johnson, as part of its submission to the FDA for approval of its COVID vaccine, did not include studies of the spike protein encoded in the J&J vaccine.

Another woke Ontario school board is pushing sexuality onto children, with a Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) climate survey asking Grade 7 and 8 students whether they are queer, fluid, pansexual, questioning or bisexual.

The voluntary survey, sent out the first week of April, also asks the 12 and 13-year-old students to pick from eight different gender identities including transgender, non-binary, fluid, boy or girl.

The survey allows students to pick from 10 sexual categories, 33 ethnic/cultural origins, eight race categories and 34 possible spoken languages.

The survey was more than enough to get at least one mom steamed.

The mother, who spoke to True North on condition of anonymity, says it’s not just her. She said there are kids in her daughter’s school who aren’t very comfortable with survey questions related to gender and sexuality.

A report from the Fraser Institute has revealed that Canadians’ support for new big-ticket social programs plummets when they learn they have to pay for them.

Data from the report shows that support for national pharmacare, dental care, and $10-a-day daycare drops to only 4 in 10 Canadians when they consider the tax increases needed to finance the programs.

The introduction of a national $10-a-day daycare program holds 69% support among Canadians when funding costs are not considered, with support dropping to 36% when a 1% increase in the GST is proposed to finance the program.

Support for a national pharmacare program stands typically at 79%, but when the program’s costs are considered, the program’s support among Canadians is nearly halved (40%).

A national dental care program for households earning under $90,00 a year is supported by 72% of Canadians when costs are not included, but drops to 42% when costs become a factor.

“Despite the federal government’s borrow-now, pay-for-it-later approach to public programs, Canadians need to be aware that these new programs have significant costs that will have to be paid for by taxpayers eventually,” said Jake Fuss, associate director of fiscal policy research at the Fraser Institute. the level of acceptance of a variety of journalistic approaches satisfying professional standards, including politically aligned approaches and independent approaches;

the degree of support for the media in their role of holding politicians and government to account in the public interest.

The assessment noted the lack of corporate diversity in the Canadian media landscape:

Conservative MP Mel Arnold is sponsoring the petition, which concerns the role that patented Lipid Nanoparticle Technology played in Canadian-approved mRNA vaccines.

A Parliamentary e-petition, e-3871, is calling for an independent and objective investigation into the conduct and ethical practices behind the government of Canada’s management of the declared COVID-19 pandemic and it’s vaccine roll outs.

The official call to action brings into question, among other things, the nearly absolute level of which the government's “COVID-19 pandemic exit strategy” depends on experimental drugs (vaccines), the “multi-year agreements” securing significantly more vaccines than people in Canada, the lack of promising COVID-19 treatments and education on preventative use of vitamins made available, and the role the patented Canadian Lipid Nanoparticle Technology (LNT) played in Canadian-approved mRNA vaccines, and whether government officials benefited financially from such potential biases.

Pope Francis offered to meet with Putin but for some reason Putin has not replied. Now the Pope has suddenly gone from supporting Ukraine in its war with Russia to suggesting Putin was responding to NATO’s aggressive moves in Ukraine.

This does answer one point — why Pope Francis hasn’t visited the capitals of either country in the latest European war. The pontiff told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra that he would like to visit both Kyiv and Moscow, but thinks that protocol should dictate that Moscow comes first. However, Vladimir Putin hasn’t bothered to answer:

Pope Francis says that he’s offered to travel to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in an effort to help bring an end to the fighting in Ukraine, but he hasn’t gotten any response from the Kremlin. …

“I asked Cardinal Parolin to convey my message to Putin, that I was ready to travel to Moscow,” he told the newspaper. “For sure, I was waiting for some kind of opening gesture from the Kremlin leader. We received no answer whatsoever, but we keep pressing them on this issue.

“I fear, however, that Putin cannot, or does not want to agree to our meeting at the moment. But how can you not try and do whatever you can to stop the atrocities? Twenty-five years ago we saw something similar happening in Rwanda.”

It’s not as if there hasn’t been any communication between the Kremlin and the Holy See. Francis met with Hungarian PM Viktor Orban on April 21, who told the pontiff that Putin had a “precise plan” to end the war within three weeks. How’s that going? A new German study with around 40,000 participants concluded that severe complications after receiving the COVID vaccine.

Germany’s MDR.de reported:

“The number of severe complications after vaccination against Sars-CoV-2 is 40 times higher than previously recorded by the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI),” a study with around 40,000 participants by the Berlin Charité concludes.

A study on side effects after corona vaccinations is being carried out at the Charite in Berlin. Professor Harald Matthes is leading the study and is calling for more contact points for those affected.

The number of serious complications after vaccinations against Sars-CoV-2 is 40 times higher than previously recorded by the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI). Study with around 40,000 participants

The study “Safety Profile of Covid-19 Vaccines” (“ImpfSurv” for short), which focuses on the effects and side effects of the various vaccines, has been running for a year. Around 40,000 vaccinated people are interviewed at regular intervals throughout Germany. Participation in the study is voluntary and independent of how the vaccines work in the subjects.

One result: eight out of 1,000 vaccinated people struggle with serious side effects. “The number is not surprising,” explains Prof. Dr. Harald Matthes, head of the study: “It corresponds to what is known from other countries such as Sweden, Israel or Canada. Incidentally, even the manufacturers of the vaccines had already determined similar values ​​in their studies.” With conventional vaccines, such as against polio or measles, the number of serious side effects is significantly lower.

The B.C. government has proudly introduced “the first ever race-based data legislation in the country,” saying it intends to collect information on the races of all its citizens to fight systemic racism and better deliver government programs.

NDP premier John Horgan announced the province’s Anti-Racism Data Act earlier this week alongside Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives Rachna Singh and other officials.

Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre and his wife Ana answered some tough questions on the campaign trail this week about pharmaceutical companies and globalist organizations.

Flanked by Ana at a campaign stop in Ontario, Pierre promised that his government would boycott the World Economic Forum (WEF) after being approached by a handful of people asking him about any possible connections to the organization.

Pierre used the opportunity to deny affiliation with the group while taking a shot at People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier.

“I’m against the World Economic Forum,” Pierre said. “Unlike Maxime Bernier, I’ve never been to the Davos conference that the World Economic Forum puts on, and he’ll have to explain why he went there and what he was doing there.”

“But I did not go to that, and I would not, nor will any of my ministers.”

“Have you spoken to Justin Trudeau about the amount of money he’s making on these vaccines that he’s forcing on us?” one woman asked. “I’m not accusing you, but I have heard that you have shares in that company.”

Ana asked if she could answer and took the woman by the hand.

“Can I look you in the eyes when I say that – can I hold you by the hand and say that – I do not, darling, I really do not, and I am honest, and I am promising you.”

Pierre’s assertion was disputed by an onlooker who mentioned that WEF’s website contained a photo and webpage of him.

A former Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) teacher has filed a $1.7-million defamation suit against the board and its chairman Scott Piatkowski for making widespread claims she was “transphobic” and had engaged in “hate speech” in a January presentation to the board.

Carolyn Burjoski, a teacher of 20 years with the WRDSB, alleges in her claim to the Ontario Superior Court on May 4 that Piatkowski made false and defamatory statements to the media following the meeting. These include Piatkowski saying that her presentation was “disrespectful” to trans people and that it would cause them to “be attacked.”

On Jan. 17, Burjoski was just four minutes into her deputation objecting to the appropriateness of certain highly sexualized books in elementary school libraries – for kids from kindergarten to grade six – when Piatkowski abruptly stopped her.

Piatkowski contended that Burjoski’s presentation violated the Human Rights Code, and Burjoski was expelled from the meeting.

She was subsequently put on home assignment, ordered to keep quiet and subjected to an investigation in which she was told her retirement benefits could be cancelled, and a formal complaint could be made to the Ontario College of Teachers.

Burjoski was also informed that the WRDSB could pursue criminal charges against her, but an investigation did not proceed because of her health status. The claim contends Burjoski was rushed to hospital suffering a nervous breakdown on Jan. 22 following the “onslaught of negative attention and harm.”

Ralph Behrens is a medical doctor in British Columbia. He is an affiliate of the Canadian Society for Science and Ethics in Medicine in collaboration with Healthcare Workers United.

A recent article published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) titled “Impact of population mixing between vaccinated and unvaccinated subpopulations on infectious disease dynamics: implications for SARS-CoV-2 transmission” has garnered much medical and societal attention.

The article uses unproven and subjective mathematical models in an attempt to simulate one’s COVID-19 infection risk across various patterns of interactions with both vaccinated and vaccine-free individuals.

The author concludes that individuals who avoid vaccination contribute to negative health consequences for others. “The risk of infection [is] markedly higher among unvaccinated people than among vaccinated people under all [population interaction] assumptions.”

Such an assertion is incorrect and blatantly biased, as we will demonstrate.

This article is fraught with egregious misassumptions and glaring omissions. This deceptive study:

● Uses problematic mathematical modeling as a surrogate for real-world data

● Overestimates vaccine effectiveness against symptomatic infection

● Overestimates the risk of transmission (secondary attack rate)

● Underestimates the percentage of the unvaccinated population with effective and robust natural immunity

● Does not account for the waning immunity provided by vaccines

● Is published by a lead author whose conflicts of interest are multiple and significant as it pertains to COVID-19 vaccines.

First, inaccurate mathematical modeling (aka computer modeling) has been frequently used throughout the COVID-19 response in order to justify lockdown measures while promoting unscientific public health edicts. The FDA recently reported that they had approved Remdesivir for the ‘treatment’ of COVID-19 in babies.

On April 25, 2022, the failed Ebola drug Remdesivir was approved by the FDA for “treatment” of Covid-19 in babies as young as 28 days old and as small as seven pounds! This is the exact same drug that has been wreaking carnage throughout hospitals since Fauci and Company approved the rigid CARES Act hospital protocol, along with bonus payments for treatment of Covid-19 with Remdesivir.

This is beyond shocking. Repeatedly, Remdesivir has been shown to be completely ineffective at treating Covid-19 in adults (even WHO studies show this) and to have severe side effects, including multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), kidney failure and dialysis, and septic shock.

While studies of inexpensive and familiar early treatment meds continue to demonstrate safety and effectiveness, the same cannot be said about Remdesivir. What makes this plot even more sinister, is this failed drug has even been approved for babies and children who are displaying only mild symptoms of Covid-19!

As we at AFLDS have preached for over two years, children and infants are at statistically zero risk of death from Covid-19, and yet they now can legally be treated with what is essentially poison. This is one of the worst decisions of the corrupt FDA.

Remdesivir came on the scene in early 2020 as the answer to the feared COVID-19 pandemic. We soon found out more about the drug. In May 2020 we connected this drug to China and Dr. Fauci.

A year later the drug Remdesivir was singled out by some in the medical community as deadly. Now the FDA approves the drug for infants as small as 7 pounds even though their risk of dying from COVID-19 is basically zero without the drug. This is a cause for alarm.

The world's largest fertilizer company warned supply disruptions could extend into 2023. A bulk of the world's supply has been taken offline due to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. This has sparked soaring prices and shortages of crop nutrients in top growing areas worldwide; an early indication of a global food crisis could be in the beginning innings.

Bloomberg reports Canada-based Nutrien Ltd.'s CEO Ken Seitz told investors on Tuesday during a conference call that he expects to increase potash production following supply disruptions in Russia and Ukraine (both major fertilizer suppliers). Seitz expects disruptions "could last well beyond 2022."

Seitz said the conflict plus Western sanctions on Russia and Belarus has reduced fertilizer supply on global markets and could reshape crop nutrient trade, thus creating even more supply uncertainty.
