A recent report on Canada’s healthcare system requested by the European Parliament targeted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the severe restrictions imposed on Canadians in response to COVID-19.

According to True North, the report called “Right to health, a comparative law perspective: Canada” was released by the European Parliamentary Research Service.

Its author is Canadian law professor Dr. Derek Jones who teaches at McGill University.

“Many stringent and invasive public health measures for the Covid pandemic – curfews, capacity-restrictions in restaurants, the closure of bars and nightclubs for months, locking of office buildings, stoppage and restrictions on international travel – have severely curtailed or arrested commercial trade in vital sections of Canada’s economy,” the report says.

It goes on to say that the Quarantine Act enabled Trudeau to level “unprecedented travel and isolation” restrictions on the population.

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino’s deputy minister says Mendicino was “misunderstood” when he repeatedly said law enforcement requested the government’s invocation of the Emergencies Act to clamp down on the Freedom Convoy.

“The advice we received was to invoke the Emergencies Act,” Mendicino told the special Joint Committee on the Declaration of Emergency back in April.

Numerous policing leaders, from the Ottawa police chief to the RCMP commissioner, have denied this.

Public safety deputy minister Rob Stewart told the special Joint Committee on the Declaration of Emergency, the parliamentary committee digging into Trudeau’s use of the Emergencies Act, that he believed what Mendicino “was trying to express was that law enforcement asked for the tools that were contained in the Emergencies Act.” ”

Unvaccinated workers are seemingly not welcome to participate in the construction of the new car chargers, which have generally received little use thus far.

The new vaccination policy for independent contractors to qualify for tenders and bids with the federal government was prominently featured on a new request for proposal (RFP) to build e-car chargers for federal facilities.

Though the proposed contract would require vendors to interact with bureaucrats through teleconference, the tender notes that "Vaccination Policy Notification 152 is in place."

Policy #152 reads "As of November 15, 2021, all supplier personnel must meet a vaccination requirement to access federal government workplaces inside and outside Canada where they may encounter federal public servants. Suppliers are required to provide a certification form to their contracting authority."

A book titled "How the Prime Minister Stole Freedom" topped Amazon’s list of best selling books on Tuesday.

The book, illustrated by Kaepe Knipe and written by Derek Smith, is modelled the book around the Dr. Seuss Christmas classic, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," and follows a the prime minister character in his battle against freedom protestors who descend upon the capital.

The prime minister, a politician who resembles Canadian Liberal Party boss Justin Trudeau, is shown to be a stupid man with a brain "three sizes too small" who aims to steam the freedoms of protestors.

"From coast to coast the truckers drove through the snow and their small fringe numbers continued to grow. Then one day a trucker appeared in the town, with thousands behind them from miles around," one passage reads, according to the National Post.

The book’s author, Derek Smith, is a full-time father from Calgary who also streams vintage video games.

Smith spoke to Maverick Media about the book and said that while he figured that the book would do well, he did not expect it to be the top-selling book on Amazon Canada as of Tuesday afternoon.

"I figured we’d hit number one in our category, but I didn’t think we’d hit number one in Canada," he said.

He said that while he thought it was important to not talk politics around his children, that it was the Freedom Convoy and the anti-mandate protests that made him "heartbroken."

He said that he tried to write the book without malice and that he would not necessarily recommend reading it to children.

The book also does not mention Trudeau by name due to what the National Post says could be for legal reasons, with the book containing a lengthy disclaimer on its first page that says that the views and opinions expressed in this book are those of the characters only and do not necessarily reflect or represent the views and opinions held by individuals on which these characters are based."

The actual contents of the book, however, are not so subtle, with the titular prime ministerial figure using words like "peoplekind," drinking "drink-box water bottle sorta things," and being shown in blackface. He also has a framed photo of Winnie the Pooh, which is a clear reference to China’s Xi Jinping, who banned the cartoon bear from the country’s internet due to its comparable looks with the dictator. It’s also a clear reference to Trudeau’s infamous quote wherein he said he admired china for its "basic dictatorship."

(LifeSiteNews) — In a May 17 press conference some have called Orwellian, representatives from globalist institutions insisted that the COVID crisis is “anything but over,” demanded higher levels of “risk management” compliance from every nation, a “seamless” implementation of globalist decisions in health systems, and even more censorship of “conspiracy theories” from Big Tech corporations.

The occasion was a document release from the International Science Council (ISC) titled “Unprecedented and Unfinished: COVID–19 and Implications for National and Global Policy.”

The organization’s president, Dr. Peter Gluckman, explained the purpose of the project was to contest the notion that experimental gene-based vaccines in some way would end the COVID crisis allowing nations to “return to some form of normality.” But this “clearly was not going to be the case,” he exclaimed.

Gluckman, who formerly served as Chief Science Advisor to the prime minister of his home nation of New Zealand, lamented the lack of trust afforded to “elites” from citizens with regards to the imposition of COVID response measures over the last two years, including lockdowns, school closures, mask requirements and gene-based “vaccine” mandates as even a condition of employment.

Without defining the term, or providing any examples, he expressed a special concern over the dissemination of “conspiracy theories” during the COVID phenomenon and how such matters were especially problematic in democratic nations.

“I think one of the deep existential threats for all countries, but particularly for democratic countries, is how is trust sustained between citizens and the elite parts of society,” he said.

“The first defense against conspiracy theories is undoubtedly trust in societies. And trust in societies is a hard thing to build. It requires trust to be built between those who govern and those who are governed,” said the trained pediatrician.

Poilievre cites an instance in April when Mendicino, knowingly or otherwise, explicitly spread false information regarding the justifications used in invoking the Emergencies Act.

In late April, Mendicino claimed, “It was on the advice of law enforcement that we invoked the Emergencies Act.”

But law enforcement disputes this.

“No, there was never a question of requesting the Emergencies Act,” RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki said on May 11.

Former Ottawa Police Chief Peter Sloly also disputed Mendicino.

“I did not make that request. I’m not aware of anybody else in the Ottawa Police Service who did,” said Sloly.

Mendicino subsequently attempted to walk back his claims, suggesting law enforcement didn’t ask for the Emergencies Act to be invoked specifically but said they wanted the powers included in it.

“The request was for the powers, which required the invocation of the Emergencies Act,” Mendicino said.

However, Poilievre isn’t buying it.

According to Poilievre, “It’s clear that Minister made false statements in the House of Commons. And it wasn’t just about something trivial. He wanted to give Trudeau cover to invoke the Emergencies Act, freeze people’s bank accounts, and trample on civil liberties.”

Poilievre then demanded that Marco Mendicino resign.

“The Minister made false statements. If he messed up, then he’s incompetent. If he lied, then he’s dishonest. Either way, he can’t keep this important job.”

The delay of an extra 160 days to respond to an access to information request filed by Rebel News for documents relating to reports of special forces aircraft flying over the convoy to Ottawa is justified by a requirement for inside consultation.

The Ottawa Citizen reported the use of spy flights of "mystery aircraft" over the convoy to Ottawa as the mass protests against COVID-19 restrictions began in the nation's capital in late January and lasted until mid-February.

National Defence spokesperson Dan Le Bouthillier confirmed to the Citizen that the King Air aircraft, registered in the US, was Canadian special forces, but Le Bouthillier said that it was part of a training mission taking place on February 10 and was not surveilling the protests.

However, according to Steffan Watkins, an Ottawa-based researcher who tracks flight patterns, the King Air plane was in the skies over Ottawa, sometimes flying in a circular pattern, on January 28 and 29 and again on February 3, 10, and 11.

A majority of Liberals have reportedly turned on PM Justin Trudeau over his refusal to drop the travel ban on unvaccinated Canadians.

Speaking to The Hill on a not-for-attribution basis (they wanted their names protected), several Liberal MPs have disagreed with Trudeau’s position, saying that a majority of the caucus wants the mandates to end and for the unvaccinated to go free.

“The massive majority of Liberal MPs want the mandates to end,” said one Liberal MP.

“People are saying ‘What the hell, why are [unvaccinated] people not allowed to fly domestic, you know, like, at least let them fly domestic with masks on. You can go into a shopping mall with them; you can go into an elevator with them; you can go into a movie theatre with them.”

Liberal MP and medical doctor Marcus Powlowski was braver, publicly stating that dropping the mandates is long overdue.

“The need for mandates is certainly changed, and the calculus is not the same now as it was two months ago, three months, or six months ago. I would suggest that the vaccine requirements for being on planes and at workplaces at the moment, I don’t think the benefits of that mandate warrant the cost,” Powlowski said.

With that said, he still believes that the mask mandate for travelling on a plane is warranted, even though both the US and the EU dropped theirs without a problem.

However, unlike some Liberal MPs and the mainstream media, Powlowski says that you are basically at the same risk whether you’re vaccinated or unvaccinated. Again, the travel ban on the unvaccinated doesn’t make sense.

“It’s everyone, whether you’re vaccinated or [not], and especially if you’re going to put a bunch of people on the plane, some of whom are non-vaccinated and things, then there is increased risk. So I would probably keep the mask mandate, that would be my opinion,” he said.

The House of Commons isn’t the only source of a potential coup from within the Liberal Party, though.

The Senate is also rebelling.

Earlier this year, Trudeau-appointed Liberal Senator Marilou McPhedran confirmed that there was a growing movement within the Senate, including many Liberals, to stop Trudeau’s use of the Emergencies Act.

“Just to point out that the day on which the declaration was ended by the government, there was already a movement among a significant number of senators and MPs, including some Liberals, to come up with the requisite signatures to begin the process of ending the declaration, and we didn’t end up having to do that,” McPhedran said.

She continues, saying that Trudeau caught wind of the plan and ended it himself.

“The government was well aware that we were fairly far along in creating that joint letter that was required under this particular section, and instead, there was the decision just to suspend.”

With both the House and Commons so fragrantly breaking rank with Trudeau, a successful vote of no confidence appears more likely, should one be called in the future.

Recently, three professors – Niigaan Sinclair and Kisha Supernant and Sean Carleton – wrote opinion pieces expressing concerns about increasing “denialism” with respect to the “unmarked graves” at Indian Residential Schools (IRS). “Denialists,” according to Supernant and Carleton, are people who “seek to deny or distort basic IRS facts and question the validity of ongoing research to shake public confidence and undermine truth and reconciliation efforts.”

The reason for this concern was two pieces that had appeared in the National Post and the New York Post. The first to be published was a National Post column by Terry Glavin, entitled “The Year of the Graves.” In this piece, Glavin argued that, while Indigenous spokespeople had been cautious about reporting the findings about unmarked graves at residential schools, white people had “lost their minds” and referred to them as “mass graves.” This sensationalist reporting occurred in spite of the fact that excavations undertaken in three locations thought to have possible secret graves – at Shubenacadie, the Charles Camsell Indian Hospital, and the Mohawk Institute – had not turned up any burials. Thirty-seven year-old Sebastien Potvin, who goes by the drag name “Barbada de Barbades,” will be performing for two audiences at the Dorval Library near Montreal Saturday.

Potvin, who works as an elementary school music teacher on the south shore of Montreal, also performs at drag on television, at brunches and at gay cabaret bars.

Eleven million dollars has been cut in regards to the police budget, now the city of Edmonton is trying to get it back.

The city of Edmonton cut 11 million dollars over two years from the police budget in July 2020 after Black Lives Matter (BLM) pressure.

'Vaccines will only be authorized once we have all necessary evidence,' says Health Canada.

As of November 12, 2021, The Health Products Review Branch (HPRB) with the agency had three requests for vaccine accommodation and 2 staff that did not meet the current definition of "fully vaccinated."

According to Health Canada:

"For COVID-19 vaccines, Health Canada is using a fast-tracked process that allows manufacturers to submit data as it becomes available, and for Health Canada experts to start the review process right away. Vaccines will only be authorized once we have all necessary evidence."

Rebel News used an access to information filing to have the agency turn over 'the count of employees that are fully vaccinated, that are partially vaccinated, and that have requested accommodation under the government of Canada's Vaccine Policy for federal employees,' which is inside the office that reviews COVID-19 vaccines and other health devices for approval.

There are 439 employees working in the HPRB offices. In August 2021, the federal government mandated all public sector employees and those working in federally regulated industries to be vaccinated against COVID before the end of October.

With inflation through the roof, one-in-five Canadians now report that they’re at least ‘somewhat likely’ to rely on food banks in order to feed themselves.

“As a result of rising prices, 20% of Canadians reported that their households are very (7%) or somewhat (13%) likely to obtain food or meals from community organizations, such as food banks, community centres, faith-based organizations, school programs or community gardens, over the next six months,” reads a Statistics Canada report.

Moreover, Statistics Canada reports that nearly three-in-four Canadians said that rising prices affect their ability to pay daily expenses such as transportation, housing, food, and clothing.

The report also shows that economic food worries are felt mainly by younger individuals and those living in urban areas. Further, it says that Canadians are digging into whatever savings they have and borrowing money from friends and family.

Moreover, the rising costs of everything are causing people to adapt their lifestyles so they can pay rent and put food on their plates.

As previously reported by The Counter Signal, Canadians paid nearly 10 per cent more (9.7 per cent) for groceries in April 2022 compared with April 2021. This price increase exceeded the 5 per cent inflation rate for the fifth month in a row and was the “highest increase since September 1981.”

Much of this cost undoubtedly comes from the Trudeau government’s reckless printing of money over his years in office — both before and after the pandemic.

In fact, the Bank of Canada just released a report addressing the economy’s dismal state, saying that mortgage rates could skyrocket by 45 per cent in the next three years.

However, regardless of finger-pointing, tough times appear ahead for many Canadians.

Fresh off of last week’s decision to implement a sweeping ban on handgun sales, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau doubled down and decried ‘American-style’ views on gun ownership while arguing that Canadians have no right whatsoever to use guns for self-defense.

In an appearance on ‘Pod Save the World’ this week, Trudeau claimed that guns should only ever be used for hunting or sport shooting, but never to protect oneself.

From Trudeau:

“There are debates, and we have a culture where the difference is. Guns can be used for hunting or for sport shooting in Canada – and there are lots of gun owners, and they’re mostly law-respecting and law-abiding – but you can’t use a gun for self-protection in Canada. That’s not a right that you have in the Constitution or anywhere else.

If you try and buy a gun and say it’s for self-protection – No, you don’t get that.“

Trudeau, a noted World Economic Forum graduate, has been on a crusade against Canadian gun ownership for several years now, and, unfortunately, he has been extremely effective. Two years ago, the Canadian Government banned all “military-style assault weapons,” and just last week Trudeau placed a complete freeze on all handgun sales, effectively outlawing pistols nationwide.

And they aren’t even close to done.

Trudeau continued, promising to outlaw handguns completely, once and for all:

“There’s this sense that Canada responded to the shooting in Texas by suddenly turning around and banning guns. Lovely if it were true, but we’ve been working on this for seven years… We’ve had a lot of setbacks, but since we got elected seven years ago, we’ve been steadily working on strengthening gun control.”

Two years ago, we banned all military style assault weapons … and just a few weeks ago … we moved forward on a total freeze on handguns.

We will eventually get it passed, and then it’ll be illegal to buy, sell, transfer, import, handguns anywhere in the county.“

Oh, Canada… please don’t give up your guns, it never ends well.

Andrew Wakefield was right.

I had the honor to interview him for 90 minutes to get clarity on all the misinformation I’ve heard.

He challenged the status quo and paid the price for telling the truth. He exposed the fact that all childhood vaccines are dangerous. Kids who are not vaccinated at all are uniformly better off than kids who are.

The childhood vaccines are so dangerous that the CDC refuses to collect the data to show how safe they are. No joke. They know the vaccines are dangerous, collecting data wouldn’t change that.

No qualified medical professional has ever agreed to debate RFK Jr. on vaccine safety. The same is true for Andrew Wakefield.

That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the childhood vaccines in a nutshell. They aren’t collecting the needed safety data for the COVID vaccines either. Nobody has a risk-benefit study of these vaccines.

In other words, all your doctors telling you to vaccinate your kids: they are doing that with NO DATA to justify their recommendations. If you don’t believe me, ask your doctor for the risk benefit study tracking all-cause morbidity and mortality in two groups (at least 100,000 people). If you find one, let me know in the comments.

2001 My son went into convulsions hours after his 4 month old DTap shot. He lived til 13, but the seizures won in the end. I completely agree with Dr. Wakefield. I sued the vaccine compensation program and won in 2010. My lawsuit took 7 years. Since my sons reaction our family has not had any vaccines, including this new gene therapy.

'While masking requirements are expiring, organizations may implement their own policies,' said Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Kieran Moore.

TORONTO (LifeSiteNews) – Some Ontario hospitals are opting to keep mask mandates despite the provincial government dropping almost all of them.

Most healthcare settings, including hospitals, and public transit were allowed to dispense with masks from midnight June 11/12.

Long-term care facilities, however, are required by the government of Ontario to continue the mandate.

Toronto and Ottawa area hospitals will voluntarily keep masks in place for the foreseeable future, as will smaller hospital networks like the Huron-Perth Health Association.

Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Kieran Moore, indicated on June 8 that institutions could decide for themselves if they want to keep the masks or not.

“While masking requirements are expiring, organizations may implement their own policies,” Moore said.

Some Ontario health care professionals are not happy that Ontario will continue to join the rest of North America and drop mask mandates.

Dr. Naheed Dosani, who calls himself a “health justice activist” tweeted that he was dismayed at the move away from masks.

The Mental Health Commission of Canada also expressed concern for the mental well-being of Ontarians dismayed by the fact that some people will not wear face coverings when they go to the doctor.

Dozens of studies have shown that wearing masks in general settings does little to nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Some studies show that negative health effects often result from prolonged mask wearing.

Ontario is one of the last jurisdictions in North America to hold on to masking policies, and Dr. Moore said that he wanted to see mask mandates remain in place for retirement homes and long-term care settings until the summer of 2023.

Toronto Public Health says it will start holding vaccination clinics to immunize high-risk individuals against the monkeypox virus starting on Sunday.

It says several clinics will be held in the coming weeks to vaccinate those who have had close contact with someone who tested positive and those at higher risk of being exposed to the virus.

Sunday’s clinic is intended for employees of the city’s bath houses.

Toronto Public Health says there are 11 confirmed cases in the city as of Saturday, two higher than the provincial total of nine released a day earlier by Canada’s chief public health officer when she reported a national case count of 112.

Dr. Theresa Tam said most of the cases are among men who said they had sexual contact with other men, though the virus can spread to anyone who has had close physical contact with an infected person

Monkeypox belongs to the same virus family as smallpox, and smallpox vaccines have proven effective in combatting the related virus. The National Advisory Committee on Immunization advises offering a single dose of the Imvamune vaccine to individuals with a high risk exposure to a probable or confirmed case of monkeypox, or in a setting where transmission may take place within four days.

Surrey School District has banned parents and guardians from a youth pride dance intended for K-12 aged children.

A flyer published by the City of Surrey promoting the “Youth Pride Dance” explicitly restricts parents from attending, citing so-called “privacy and safety” concerns for LGBTQ+ youth.

“For participant privacy and safety, parents or guardians are not permitted in the event,” the flier states.

The city-sponsored event is being advertised as a way for children to explore the LGBTQ+ community and is enticing kids to attend for snacks and prizes.

All 29-year-old teacher Chanel Pfahl did was make a comment on a private Facebook feed that kids should not be indoctrinated about Critical Race Theory (CRT).

She suggested instead that teachers should focus on “modelling kindness” and speak out against “any form of discrimination.”

She also shared a YouTube video of a speech given by the black UK minister of equalities Kemi Badenoch, in which she outlines her government’s decision not to teach CRT.

That was in February 2021 and Pfahl – who taught for a French Catholic school board in Barrie – was subjected to backlash within 10 minutes of posting her thoughts. She was investigated and put on leave for a week without pay.

She was ordered not to communicate with parents.

“It was like I was a criminal,” she said.

Fast forward to March 2022 when the science, French and English teacher learned she was being investigated by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) for the same comments.

After only four years, Pfahl is now taking a break from teaching to deal with some serious health issues and awaiting her OCT hearing.

In April, she posted a very insightful story on Substack — a new website for writers of all political stripes. In her piece, Pfahl writes about her tumultuous experience and her decision to not back down in her opposition to CRT.

“I am not exactly thrilled about being ostracized for voicing my dissenting opinions, losing so-called friends, and potentially even sacrificing the career I love. But the reality is that we each have a decision to make regarding our own participation and complicity in allowing this tragic drift away from our once free country,” she writes.

In recent months, she’s applied for some supply teaching jobs but despite the great need for supply teachers, she’s never heard back.
