Israeli media revealed Tuesday that an Israeli-Saudi-Gulf security forum will be announced during US President Joe Biden's upcoming visit to the occupied Palestinian territories and Saudi Arabia next month.

KANN political affairs commentator, Gili Cohen, pointed out that there are advanced talks ahead of the establishment of an official forum to discuss joint regional "defense" for "Israel" and the Gulf states - including Saudi Arabia.

Cohen said that she heard from senior Israeli officials that the announcement of the formation of this security forum may be made during Biden's visit to the Middle East next month.

House Passes Bill Ramping Up Supreme Court Security After Month of Delay

The House of Representatives on June 14 approved a bill that extends security to family members of Supreme Court justices after Democrats failed to get a provision they wanted into the legislation.

The House voted 396-27. to pass the Supreme Court Police Parity Act.

All no votes came from Democrats.

Five members did not vote.

The Senate passed the bill unanimously in May, shortly after the unprecedented leak of a draft decision that indicated the nation’s top court was preparing to overturn Roe v. Wade.

But top Democrats in the House delayed a vote because they wanted a change.

The bill grants the Supreme Court Police and the court’s marshal the ability to order protection for the families of Supreme Court justices or officers if such protection is deemed necessary. According to Sens. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas), the bill’s sponsors, it will enable “around-the-clock” protection for the family members.

House Democrats wanted to extend the protection to family members of clerks, which Republicans opposed.

“Supreme Court justices already have protection. This is about families of Supreme Court justices, and Democrats were fighting for families of law clerks, employees of Supreme Court. They should have protection, too,” Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) said before the vote on the House floor in Washington.

He noted that the names of several clerks were widely circulated after the leak with suggestions that they were the ones behind the leak, and that one viral social media post also mentioned one of the clerks’ spouses.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said last week that “no one is in danger” due to the delay in passing the bill, drawing criticism from Republicans.

Some Democrats in Washington described the bill as meaningless because Attorney General Merrick Garland already ordered around-the-clock security for the homes of the justices for an undetermined amount of time.

“It took House Democrats some time to get this bill to the floor. The reason it took that much time is, it was House Democrats that wanted to get one itty bitty one concession out of this bill, to protect the staff of that institution—the United States Supreme Court—but they refused,” Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas) said. The bill “is a talking point” that doesn’t “really do anything,” she added.

The European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen said that the European Union, Egypt, and "Israel" will sign a trilateral memorandum on Wednesday to increase gas supplies from "Israel" to Europe via Egypt.

Von der Leyen was to meet Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Monday and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday, with talks projected to focus "in particular on energy cooperation," a commission statement read.

Basically, I wanted to bold the entire Q #365, but didn't want to type three single-quotes at the beginning, and end, of every line.

So I copy/pasted it into a file and ran "sed s/^// q#365.txt | sed s/$// > q#365-bold.txt" on it, then ran "gedit q#365-bold.txt" to copy/paste -and at that point,I noticed spaces before the "closing three quotes" on one line.

Then after further exploration, found it on five more in that post.

So: had I not spent years developing automation skills, I might have just typed the single-quotes myself. (That said - I still may have noticed, if I hit End and then saw it was a space past the final character of that line; so it's not necessarily automation skills, more attention-to-detail?)

BEIRUT, June 13 (Reuters) - Lebanon is preparing to offer a compromise to U.S. energy envoy Amos Hochstein to resolve a dispute with Israel over maritime gas resources, three Lebanese officials with knowledge of the negotiations told Reuters.

Hochstein landed in Beirut on Monday at the invitation of the Lebanese government, which had objected to the arrival of a vessel operated by London-based Energean (ENOG.L) off the Mediterranean coast on June 5 to develop a gas field known as Karish.

Israel says Karish is part of its exclusive economic zone, but Lebanon says the field is in contested waters and should not be developed until the two countries conclude their indirect talks to delineate their maritime borders.

Those talks fizzled out last year after Lebanon pushed its claim in the disputed zone from a boundary known as "Line 23" further south to "Line 29," adding around 1,400 square km (540 square miles) to its claim, including part of Karish.

To overcome the impasse, Hochstein proposed a field-swap that would create an S-shaped boundary instead of a straight line, but Lebanon did not officially agree to the proposal, official sources said.

Lebanon has insisted on renewing the indirect talks, but has not yet publicly announced whether it would stick to Line 29 as a starting position for those negotiations.

The U.S. consider Line 29 a "non-starter," according to sources.

Three Lebanese officials with knowledge of the internal process to finalise a government stance said that Lebanon would drop claims to Line 29.

The sources said President Michel Aoun would meet Hochstein on Tuesday morning and propose "Line 23, plus a little more."

One of the officials specified that Aoun's position would be a claim to Line 23 in addition to 300 km sq that includes the Qana field, but not Karish.

Aoun would demand that indirect talks resume as soon as possible and that Israel stop all works at Karish until negotiations are concluded, two of the officials said.

MP Mark Daou, who visited Aoun on Monday as part of a group of independent parliamentarians, said the president told the lawmakers he "cannot insist on Line 29" as a starting point.

"President Aoun told us that Lebanon does not have the technical foundations on which to construct a case for Line 29 because previous governments had failed to produce formal documentation to maintain this position," Daou told Reuters.

Alain Aoun, a lawmaker from the Free Patriotic Movement which was founded by the president, said Lebanon would be making a counter-offer to Hochstein's proposal but did not give details.

Perseverance Mars rover spots weird snake-head rock and balancing boulder

This is a truly otherworldly landscape.

NASA's Perseverance rover has rolled up to some odd and intriguing Martian terrain.

On Sunday (June 12), the car-sized Perseverance snapped a photo that could be mistaken for a still from an "Indiana Jones" movie. At the left of the tableau, a boulder perches precariously atop a slab of gray rock. And at right-center, a formation that looks very much like an open-mouthed snake head juts from a layered reddish butte.

If this were an "Indiana Jones" movie, that butte would house the lair of an evil snake-worshipping cult that Indy would have to take on, shuddering all the while. (Indy hates snakes, presumably regardless of which planet they happen to inhabit.)

The Perseverance team is doubtless excited about this Mars landscape, and for far less fanciful reasons. The layered butte looks like it's part of the ancient river delta that once existed inside the 28-mile-wide (45 kilometers) Jezero Crater, where the six-wheeled robot and its tiny companion, the Ingenuity helicopter, landed in February 2021.

The same expert panel will meet again on Wednesday to discuss shots from Moderna and Pfizer for the kids under 5.

According to the CDC data, the incidence of heart inflammation was 4.41 excess per 100,000 who received the Pfizer/BioNTech for males aged 18-39 versus 6.27 excess cases per 100,000 for Moderna, Reuters reported.

The overall incidence is relatively rare and the vast majority who suffer the side effect fully recover, but a comparison showed the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis in young males aged 18-39 was 1.1 to 1.5 times higher after the Moderna shot, the FDA said in its presentation, citing data from three U.S. vaccine safety databases.

Some countries in Europe have limited use of Moderna’s vaccine for younger age groups after surveillance suggested it was tied to a higher risk of heart inflammation, and the FDA delayed its review of the Moderna shot to assess the myocarditis risk.

An FDA official claimed that the findings on myocarditis and pericarditis linked to both the mRNA shots “were not consistent across all of the U.S. vaccine safety monitoring systems.”

The FDA called on speakers about their views on authorizing the Moderna vaccine for children ages 6 to 17. Some of the invited speakers were not in favor of the vaccine due to its life-threatening risks that completely ruined their lives.

I took the second Moderna injection in June of 2021. I got busy right away. Two days after the injection, I could not get out of bed for a couple of days. My right leg and my arms were weak.

Pentagon updates US goals in Ukraine

The conflict should cost Russia more than it hopes to achieve, a top policy official says

The US is seeking to make the conflict in Ukraine more costly for Moscow than whatever Russian President Vladimir Putin hoped to achieve, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl said on Tuesday. Kahl insisted that Russia was making only “tactical” gains in Ukraine and would be unable to achieve its “grandiose objectives” of taking over the entire country, in part thanks to massive US military aid.

“We’ll continue to provide Ukraine what they need for the fight,” Kahl said on Tuesday, opening a conference organized by the Center for New American Security (CNAS), a Democrat-linked think tank where he used to work.

The Biden administration alone has provided Ukraine with over $5.3 billion in military assistance, of which $4.6 billion has come since February 24, Kahl pointed out.

The US goal is “to make sure that Ukraine can defend itself, that a sovereign independent democratic Ukraine endures, that we give Ukraine the capability to strengthen their position at the bargaining table,” Kahl explained, and to “impose a cost on Russia in excess to whatever benefits Vladimir Putin hopes to achieve through this conflict.”

“Our goal was not regime change in Russia,” Kahl told the CNAS conference. President Joe Biden famously said otherwise in late March. His aides quickly backtracked, saying there was no change in US policy and that Biden was simply being “emotional.” The US president echoed that explanation after returning from Poland, but insisted he was not walking anything back.

According to Kahl, Putin “went into this war seeking to gobble Ukraine up. I think he had in his mind envisioned some kind of a thunder run to Kiev to change the regime,” only for the Russian military to be “badly defeated in battle” and thrown back from the Ukrainian capital.

The Pentagon official accused Putin of having “imperial ambitions” and “seeking to reclaim territory that he believes belonged to a glorious past of the Russian Empire.” With Ukrainian troops being “stalwart defenders” and “holding tough,” Kahl said he did not think the Russians would “have the capacity to achieve those grandiose objectives.”

While Russian troops have been making gains in Ukraine, they are “really on any given day measured in blocks” and are “not large, sweeping breakthroughs of Ukrainian defenses,” Kahl insisted. Both Ukrainians and Russians are taking casualties and “the front lines are not moving very much.”

n an attempt to quell public concern about cyberbullying, Japan has passed legislation making “online insults” punishable by imprisonment.

The bill, passed by the Japanese government on Monday, has amended the country’s penal code and will take effect this summer.

According to the Japan Times, the amendment comes as a response to the death of professional wrestler and Netflix’s Terrance House reality star Hana Kimura.

Kimura, 22, died by suicide in 2020. News of her death was spread nationwide, with many Japanese citizens pointing to the ample online abuse and harassment Kimura received in the months before her death.

Offenders who post “online insults” can now be punished under the law with up to one year of jailtime, or fined ¥300,000 (approximately $2,870).

Prior to this legislation, insults were still illegal, though the punishment was lesser, with offenders earning fewer than 30 days detention and a fine of ¥10,000 (approximately $95).

According to CNN, under Japan’s penal code, insults “are defined as publicly demeaning someone’s social standing without referring to specific facts about them or a specific action.”

Insults differ from defamation in Japan, the distinguishing factor being that defamation must include specific facts when publicly demeaning another person. Defamation is also punishable under Japanese law.

The degree to which an insult will be punished under the new law has yet to be determined.

Regardless, opponents of the legislation have argued that the bill could impede free speech. Many critics wondered if the bill will also apply to criticism of those in power, like government officials and political leaders.

For this reason, the legislation was passed with a provision making it necessary to reevaluate the bill after three years in effect to determine its impact, if any, on free speech in Japan.

The Japan Times reported that following Kimura’s death, two men in Osaka and Fukui prefectures were fined ¥9,000 each (approximately $86) for posting online insults about the celebrity. Many Japanese citizens complained this punishment was too light, causing the public insistence on stricter legislation.

The pilot episode of the January 6 hearings doomed the entire season.

The ratings don’t lie: America is not enthralled. Despite unprecedented coordination on behalf of the mainstream media to synchronize coverage of the Democrats’ mockumentary, the left-wing smokescreen failed to capture the hearts and minds of the nation.

America does not want to J6 and chill.

Despite their greatest attempts at hyping the insufferable premier, CNN pulled in lower numbers than Tucker Carlson’s show the night before, which opened the Thursday 8 p.m. hour with a promise not to air the committee’s lies. CBS’s own “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right” drew more viewers Wednesday night than the committee’s coverage received Thursday on the same network. More Americans watched basketball last Thursday than watched the hearings this Thursday. The only bombshells in the first hearing were the ratings.

In an uncharacteristic validation of the American peoples’ sentiment, even Bloomberg pulled away from the hearing minutes after it began to resume coverage of an abysmal economy under Joe Biden, floundering stock markets, and an America careening towards recession. Americans simultaneously began clicking away from the charade.

The sham committee’s failure to produce a small screen sensation was not for lack of trying. They used teleprompters to read off their scripted monologues, hired former television executives to produce the drama, and selectively edited testimony from the witnesses. They refused to release full interviews from their witness testimony, and removed persons of interest from their videos to cover alternative storylines.

They had to. Otherwise, their narrative wouldn’t be compelling; the evidence would undermine the committee’s political agenda. And from a committee that already tested the waters with changing evidence to fit their narrative, their highly-produced and drastically-altered presentation of that day shouldn’t surprise Americans. As booted January 6 fact-finder Representative Jim Banks (R-Ind.) pointed out, perhaps “selective editing committee” is a more appropriate name.

Americans watch TV and go to the movies so they can forget their worries, unplug, and disengage from reality. That’s what Democrats hoped to accomplish with their highly-produced hearing on Thursday and what they plan to display in their subsequent presentations; they want to distract the American people from their stunning failure to lead or deliver the most fundamental of necessities like affordable gas, low-cost food, and baby formula.

Democrats can now add “televised distraction campaign sideshow” to their growing list of failures. You could find more substantive solutions for the nation by watching HGTV or ESPN.

Democrats could be spending their time investigating the root causes of the baby formula shortage, high gas prices, and the impending recession. But that would expose their abysmal leadership failures and draw Americans’ attention from the very thing they wish to divert attention from. There has never been a clearer contrast for the American people: Joe Biden and the Democrats want to put themselves first, President Trump and Republicans want to put America First. Democrats simply cannot produce results, and so they distract. You saw this phenomenon in the Mueller hearings, during both impeachments, and now you see it in the January 6 charade.

There will be more episodes of the January 6 committee’s hearings in the coming days. In Hollywood, this flop would be canceled. In Washington, their budget is built with your money, so expect more of the same. Each episode will have the same goal and purpose: dominate the screens of Americans to divert attention from Democrats’ cataclysmic failure to lead the nation.

But for Americans, it’s hard to enthrall yourself in revisionist history when you have overdrawn your checking account at Exxon on the way home. And with ratings like these, J6 may suffer a shorter lifespan than CNN+.

Senate Candidate Jumps To Top Of Crowded Field After Trump Endorses Him

Blake Masters is leading Arizona’s Republican Senate primary, a poll released Monday found, just weeks after former President Donald Trump endorsed the tech executive and author.

Masters garnered 28.9% support in the poll conducted by The Trafalgar Group, followed by Attorney General Mark Brnovich with 23.7%, and businessman Jim Lamon with 17.2%. No other candidate received more than 4.4% support. The poll of 1077 likely Republican primary voters was conducted from June 7-9, and has a margin of error of 2.9%.

Nearly 22% of likely primary voters are still undecided, the poll found.

The Trafalgar poll is the first released since Trump endorsed Masters on June 2. Previously conducted polls consistently showed Brnovich’s support hovering around 25%, with Lamon in second and Masters in third. The poll released Monday was the first to show Masters breaking 20% support, according to the RealClearPolitics average.

An internal poll conducted for the Lamon campaign by McLaughlin & Associates found Lamon with 25% support in mid-April, Brnovich with 22% support, and Masters with 16%, according to Politco.

Masters’ campaign manager Amalia Halikias cited Trump’s endorsement as the impetus for Masters’ jump in support. (RELATED: Josh Hawley Announces Major Endorsement In Fractured Senate Primary)

“President Trump forever changed the game. If you want to win, you go straight to the people, you talk about the issues that matter, and you ignore the lying media. The proof is in the numbers: Blake has taken a commanding lead, he will be the Republican nominee, and he will beat Mark Kelly in November,” she said in a statement.

Trump’s endorsements have proven most powerful in races like Arizona’s, where several lesser-known candidates are facing off in an open primary. Author and venture capitalist JD Vance won a seven-candidate Senate primary in Ohio, and former TV show host Dr. Mehmet Oz won a seven-candidate Senate primary in Pennsylvania. Both candidates rose significantly in the polls after Trump endorsed them, but neither succeeded in clearing 33%.

A first-time candidate for office, Masters has highlighted his opposition to big tech firms and critical race theory in campaign materials. In response, Brnovich’s political allies have noted Masters’ support from tech billionaire and early Facebook investor Peter Thiel, while Lamon’s campaign released an ad allegedly painting Masters as anti-Semitic.

Pennsylvania House Republicans have seen enough of the chaos and lawlessness in Philadelphia and have moved to impeach Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. They are starting proceedings this week, CBS Philly reported.

Reps. Josh Kail, Torren Ecker, and Tim O’Neal are leading the charge to start the hearings, citing Philadelphia’s “unchecked crime and violence” as the reason. Recall, just last week, three people were killed after a shooting on South Street, a popular weekend hangout and tourist attraction to the city.

The Reps. are "circulating a co-sponsorship memo for supporters of Articles of Impeachment and believe it will receive bipartisan support," the CBS report says.

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Witnesses tell us they saw a manhole corner by the Ben and Jerry’s next to the Aquarium shoot into the air, followed by thick smoke.

Chattanooga Fire Officials say that an underground transformer exploded.

The fire is out, and so is the power.

Fire officials say the outage has grown to a larger section of the area… basically from Memorial Auditorium to 601 Walnut, the Aquarium, including Market, Broad and Chestnut streets.

EPB crews are on the scene.

But they are having to wait on the transformer to cool off before they can make repairs.

So many Riverfront diners and riverfront tourists are facing the night without air-conditioning.

The head of the Navy’s boot camp was relieved of command Saturday, becoming at least the third commanding officer to be fired in the past week.

Capt. Jeffry Sandin had been in charge of Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, since May 2021.

No reason was given in a brief Navy statement for Sandin’s firing, but it noted “a loss of confidence in his ability to command.”

There was no investigation that led to Sandin’s relief, and he does not face any additional disciplinary actions, according to Naval Education and Training Command spokesman Cmdr. Brian Wierzbicki.

“The decision to relieve a member of a command triad is made with the utmost care and after thorough consideration by higher command leadership,” he said in an email.

Capt. Kertreck Brooks has assumed the responsibilities of command for the unit, and Sandin has been reassigned to Naval Service Training Command headquarters.

Sandin’s ouster follows at least two other CO firings in the past week.

On Friday, Cmdr. Devine Johnson was fired as commander of the destroyer Bulkeley, as was the ship’s enlisted leader, Command Master Chief Earl Sanders.

No reason was provided for the reliefs, other than a “loss of confidence” from the higher-ups.

And on Wednesday, the commanding officer of an air squadron currently deployed to Europe with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group was relieved of command.

Cmdr. Matthew McCormick was fired as head of Electronic Attack Squadron 137 due to what a Navy statement calls a “loss of confidence in his ability to command.”

No further details were provided for that firing.

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) said Tuesday that the way to address rising inflation is to curb government spending.

When asked why the Biden administration keeps referring to record high gas prices as Putin’s price hike, Cammack said, “Yes, it is 100% embarrassing. Do these people live in reality? Have they gone outside and filled up their gas tank? Oh, I'm sorry, Nancy Pelosi hasn't filled up gas tank in 40 years let alone Joe Biden.

“It's easy to make ridiculous statements that are completely devoid of reality when you are a limousine liberal who basically governs from the protection of armored vehicles and have a staff of people who do things for you, but out here in the real world Americans are facing 5,500-dollar a year increase, and that's the inflation tax,” she told Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria Bartiromo.”

“That's what every day Americans are paying because of these disastrous policies, and do they not see the stock market crash yesterday? We are officially in a bear market. Crypto loss over 200 billion over the weekend. I mean, everything is down, what are they saying, it is embarrassing, and quite frankly it's getting dangerous,” the congresswoman said.

Cammack warned that the more the federal government spends, the less the American people get to keep their own money.

“Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, 100 percent definition of insanity, but we know especially in Washington, D.C., common sense isn't common, and listen, I know I may only have a minor in economics, but economics 101: the more that government spends, the less we the people get to keep in our pockets and last year we saw Democrats spend upwards of $7 trillion,” she said.

“Did they think there would be no consequences for out-of-control spending? It's clear when you compound the supply chain crisis and bad policies coupled with this hyper aggressive Green New Deal agenda pushed by limousine liberals, that is going to result in clearly a recession, and everyday Americans - those that the left says that they stand up and fight for most - are the ones getting hit the hardest,” the congresswoman warned.

Lawmaker Matan Kahana told a group of West Bank students he would like to be able to “push a button” to deport all Arabs

A member of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s ruling political party has stirred uproar by wishing out loud that he could make all Palestinian Arabs vanish from the Jewish state.

“If there was a sort of button you could push that would make all the Arabs disappear, send them on an express train to Switzerland, I would press that button,” Knesset member Matan Kahana said on Monday in remarks to a group of West Bank high-school students.

Kahana, a member of Bennett’s nationalist Yamina party who serves as deputy religious services minister, appeared to be making the point that despite their differences, Israelis and Palestinians have no choice but to find ways to co-exist. “But what can you do?” he continued. “There is no such button. Therefore it seems we were meant to exist [together] on this land in some way.”

The lawmaker’s incendiary comments were caught on video, and the footage was exposed on Tuesday by Israeli public broadcaster Kann. Kahana made his remarks on the first anniversary of Bennett sweeping to power by allying Yamina with seven other parties.

Lawsuit filed by L’Dor Va-Dor congregation says law violates Jewish teachings which require abortions to protect women; Governor’s office says law will ‘withstand’ challenge

A new Florida law prohibiting abortion after 15 weeks with some exceptions violates the religious freedom rights of Jews in addition to the state constitution’s privacy protections, a synagogue claims in a lawsuit.

The lawsuit filed by the Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor of Boynton Beach contends the law that takes effect July 1 violates Jewish teachings, which state abortion “is required if necessary to protect the health, mental or physical well-being of the woman” and for other reasons.

“As such, the act prohibits Jewish women from practicing their faith free of government intrusion and this violates their privacy rights and religious freedom,” says the lawsuit, filed last week in Leon County Circuit Court.

The lawsuit adds that people who “do not share the religious views reflected in the act will suffer” and that it “threatens the Jewish people by imposing the laws of other religions upon Jews.”

The lawsuit is the second challenge to the 15-week abortion ban enacted earlier this year by the Legislature and signed into law by Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Planned Parenthood and other reproductive health providers also sued earlier this month to block the law from taking effect.

In a previous statement, DeSantis’ office said it “is confident that this law will ultimately withstand all legal challenges.”

Jim Banks Presses Biden DOJ for Answers After BLM Rioter’s Arson Charges Dropped

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) pressed President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) for answers after the agency dropped arson charges against a leftwing rioter, according to a letter exclusively obtained by Breitbart News.

Law enforcement officials arrested and charged then-19 year-old Victor Sanchez-Santa in federal court with arson charges in June 2020, shortly after he allegedly ignited a fire that burned an NYPD vehicle during the aftermath of the George Floyd riots.

According to the federal complaint filed against Sanchez-Santa:

On June 9, 2020, at approximately 1:20 a.m., SANCHEZ-SANTA stopped his car beside a marked NYPD vehicle on West 42nd Street in Manhattan. He got out of his car, took a cloth glove in his hand and held the glove to a flame until it ignited. He then put the burning glove underneath the NYPD vehicle, and got back into his car, leaving the glove burning beneath the police car.

After his arrest, United States Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman praised federal and local law enforcement officials for their quick response and help in identifying the defendant.

Although arson carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum 20-year sentence, Biden’s DOJ tossed out the case in November 2021.

United States Attorney T. Josiah Pertz wrote:

Based on a review of the evidence in the case and information pertaining to this defendant acquired subsequent to the filing of the Indictment, the Government has concluded that further prosecution of VICTOR SANCHEZ-SANTA would not be in the interests of justice.

The DOJ also determined that “deferring prosecution” would be in the best interests of the defendant and the United States.

Instead of prison time, prosecutors let Sanchez-Santa off with nine months of probation and mandatory anger management classes.

Banks requested Attorney General Merrick Garland send his office “all evidence in the case and information pertaining to this defendant acquired subsequent to the filing of the Indictment” that contributed to the DOJ’s decision to drop charges by June 24.

Big Tech should step in and censor individuals who oppose President Biden’s climate change agenda, National Climate Adviser Gina McCarthy told Axios’s Alexi McCammond in an interview last week.

“And so the challenges now that we’re moving from denial to actually just trying to, to disengage the public from understanding the values of solar energy, the values of wind energy, the benefits of clean energy. We have to get tighter, we have to get better at communicating,” McCarthy said during an appearance at Axios’s The Infodemic Age event on Thursday.

Further, McCarthy said Big Tech should step in and “stop allowing” people to spread what the administration considers to be “misinformation” regarding Biden’s climate change agenda.

“And frankly, the tech companies have to stop allowing specific individuals over and over again to spread disinformation. That’s what the fossil fuel companies pay for,” McCarthy asserted.

“That’s what folks who make money out of fossil fuels and don’t make money and don’t care about saving consumers cost. That’s what they do. We have to be smarter than that, and we need the tech companies to really jump in,” she added:

During that same interview, McCarthy claimed that fossil fuel companies and climate change pose “a significant threat to public health.”

“Fossil fuels have actually created significant health challenges on our country, not just climate change, but we’re talking about pollution that’s impacting people’s lives,” she claimed.

Notably, McCarthy asserted last year that it would be “ridiculous” to ask Americans to “sacrifice” for the climate due to the ramifications of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. But her recent blame on oil and gas companies comes as gas prices reach yet another record high, hitting $5.016 per gallon.

Her remarks also follow the controversy over Biden’s attempts to establish a disinformation board. According to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) documents obtained by Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA), “DHS had plans for its Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) to partner with Big Tech companies to monitor domestic speech about topics including election security and COVID-19,” as Breitbart News detailed.

“As it turns out, Tucker, the people that the Biden administration thinks are the real threat to America,” he said. “It’s not the drug cartels. It’s not foreign threats. It’s you. It’s the American people,” Hawley said during an appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight.

“If you have questions about COVID, if you have questions about COVID masks, if you have questions about the COVID vaccine, this administration wanted you to be monitored. This Disinformation Board was set up to go after you,” he added. “That’s what the documents say.”

FDA Advisers Unanimously Recommend Moderna’s Covid-19 Vaccine for Ages 6-17 Despite Data Showing High Risks of Heart Inflammation

Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine may have a higher risk of heart inflammation than the Pfizer shot based on recent data, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration met with its Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) to discuss Moderna’s EUA request for a COVID-19 vaccine for children 6 through 17 years of age.

The same expert panel will meet again on Wednesday to discuss shots from Moderna and Pfizer for the kids under 5.

According to the CDC data, the incidence of heart inflammation was 4.41 excess per 100,000 who received the Pfizer/BioNTech for males aged 18-39 versus 6.27 excess cases per 100,000 for Moderna, Reuters reported.

Daniel Horowitz, the senior editor at The Blaze, tweeted on Monday regarding the side effects of the Moderna vaccine.

“Holy Moly! one-quarter of the kids in Moderna’s trial reported Grade 3 side effects, meaning they couldn’t go to school https://fda.gov/media/159189/download… So many had flu-like symptoms! Even the original strain of covid mainly did this to kids. Yet, we are giving them these symptoms upfront,” Horowitz tweeted.

The FDA called on speakers about their views on authorizing the Moderna vaccine for children ages 6 to 17. Some of the invited speakers were not in favor of the vaccine due to its life-threatening risks that completely ruined their lives.

"Illinois Congressman Sean Casten’s 17-year-old daughter Gwen Casten died Monday morning, his office announced.

The U.S. representative’s office released a short statement that said the teen passed away but didn’t provide any further details.

“This morning, Congressman Casten’s beloved daughter, Gwen (17), passed away,” Casten’s office said. “The Casten family requests privacy, and we will be issuing no further comment during this heartbreaking time.”

Gwen died inside the family’s Downers Grove home, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing local police.

Downers Grove police were called to respond to a report of an “unresponsive” 17-year-old girl at a home on the block where Casten lives just before 7 a.m. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the outlet.

Gwen was following in the footsteps of her father and fighting for social causes she cared about, her social media shows

According to her Twitter bio, Gwen served as co-director of the March For Our Lives Illinois chapter.

She also appeared in a campaign video in support of her father, who is running for a third term in Congress.."

Shortly after the Tater was (s)elected I saw and heard that he would eventually shut down

Farms will close down next year for lack of fertiliser.

That will shut down even more food production jobs. Scarcity will force everyone except govt.

Flights in and out of Switzerland were suspended for hours and Swiss airspace closed because of a computer failure at air traffic control service Skyguide.

Geneva and Zurich halted early flights but Geneva airport announced air traffic was gradually resuming.

Skyguide said a technical malfunction in the early hours of Wednesday meant Swiss airspace had had to be closed to traffic for "safety reasons".

Some flights were being diverted to Milan in northern Italy.

Skyguide spokesman Vladi Barrosa told Tagesanzeiger news website that the problem appeared to be a hardware fault and they did not believe their system had been hacked. The company later announced that the "technical malfunction at Skyguide has been resolved" and airspace closure lifted at 08:30 (06:30 GMT).

PORTLAND (WGME)&ndash; Some big out-of-state money is showing up in a relatively small Maine political race.

The ads are funded largely by George Soros, a multi-billionaire known for backing liberal candidates.

The ads, which are not running on CBS13 or FOX23, are attacking the current Cumberland County District Attorney's past ties to the Republican party.

A federal database shows Jonathan Sahrbeck donated $50 to the Republican National Committee in 2008.

One of the ads also says Sahrbeck prosecuted a sex trafficking victim.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the woman and state came to an agreement in 2018, which stated her case would be dismissed if she stayed out of trouble for a year.

"Well if you look at the actual record, we had no information that that person was a sex trafficking victim at that time," Sahrbeck said.

Sahrbeck says his hands were tied and he had to move the case forward because of the law at the time, which he since helped to change.

"It's been just mindboggling," Allyson Ray with Just Love Worldwide said.

Advocates are coming to his defense. They say the ad doesn't reflect his work.

"That ad that was put out on Jonathan, when I first saw it, itcompletely contradictswhat we worked on so hard," Tierra Ross with Survivor Speak USA said.

The ads come from the Maine Justice and Public Safety PAC, which has spent $350,000 to help his opponent Jackie Sartoris, according to state records.

Sartoris is currently the assistant district attorney in Kennebec County. Sahrbeck didn't know why the group was getting involved with the race.

"A lot of people like my common sense ideas. And apparently one of them is somebody named George Soros," Sartoris said.

She says she is not involved in anyway with the group or the ads' messages.

"I said right away when I saw the first ad, which came as much of a surprise to me as anyone else, that I do not like the tone of these ads," Sartoris said.

And there's nothing that she can to stop them.

"It's not about whether I support it or not. I didn't ask for it. It's here anyway," Sartoris said.

In a statement to CBS13, a representative reiterated claims made in the ads.

"Unlike her opponent who just switched parties in time to run for re-election, Jacqueline Sartoris is a lifelong Democrat and we're proud to support her campaign to bring real reform, safety and transparency to Cumberland County," Maine Justice and Public Safety PAC Treasurer Whitney Tymas said.

Without a Republican in the race, whichever Democratic candidate wins Tuesday's primary will likely become the District Attorney

Republican Mayra Flores prevailed Tuesday in a special election for an open congressional seat in South Texas, marking a major breakthrough for Republicans eager to blaze new inroads in the historically blue region. She beat Dan Sanchez, the leading Democrat, outright in the closely watched race and will be the first Mexican-born congresswoman. She will get to serve only until January, but Republicans heralded her win as a shot of momentum in their new South Texas offensive. With all precincts reporting Tuesday night, Flores had 50.98% of the vote and Sanchez had 43.33%.

Israel Nixes Youth Holocaust Ed Missions to Poland Over Security Dispute

The Education Ministry instructed schools to cancel all upcoming summer trips, for which 7,000 Israeli pupils had already registered

The Education Ministry has announced that it is cancelling youth missions to Poland that were scheduled to take place in July and August, following a dispute with the Polish government over security.

Haaretz has learned that the dispute related to the carrying of weapons by Israeli security personnel on Polish soil. The ministry instructed schools to cancel all summer trips, for which 7,000 pupils had already registered.

The ministry’s director-general Dalit Stauber said on Tuesday that along with the dispute over security, there are also some controversial issues regarding the content of these trips. “For several years, Poland has been trying to write the history of the Holocaust in a slightly different manner. Israel is negotiating with Poland over this issue, in the meantime precluding these trips from continuing,” said Stauber in an interview she gave to Kan Radio’s Reshet Bet. She added that the Foreign Ministry and other relevant agencies were trying to resolve the matter.
