A bigshot Hollywood lawyer reportedly paid off Hunter Biden’s delinquent taxes — which a source told The Post amounted to more than $2 million — as President Joe Biden’s notoriously troubled son awaits the results of a Delaware grand jury’s investigation into his personal finances.

Kevin Morris, an entertainment attorney and novelist who earned a fortune representing the co-creators of “South Park” and won a Tony award as the co-producer of “The Book of Mormon,” footed Hunter Biden’s overdue taxes totaling over $2 million — more than twice that which was previously reported, a source familiar with conversations between the two told the Post.

Morris, whom Hunter Biden’s friends call his latest “sugar brother,” has also been funding the 52-year-old’s lifestyle in Los Angeles — including his rent and living expenses, the source said.

The attorney has also been advising the president’s son on how to structure his art sales, according to the source.

When the Post attempted to contact Morris at his Malibu residence to ask about his dealings with Hunter Biden, his wife slammed the door in the reporter’s face and refused to answer questions.

Hunter Biden took out a loan to settle up his significant 2021 tax bill after he announced he was under investigation for defrauding the Internal Revenue Service.

His up-to-date tax bill could make it more difficult for prosecutors to convict Hunter Biden and hinder their ability to win a lengthy sentence if he was convicted, The New York Times reported.

Tax prosecutors would typically argue that paying an overdue balance wouldn’t affect a fraud case because the evasion still occurred. However, a judge and jury may be more sympathetic towards someone who eventually footed their bill.

Morris is a founding member of the firm Morris Yorn Barnes Levine in Los Angeles, which has represented A-list Hollywood celebrities such as Matthew McConaughey, Ellen Degeneres, Scarlett Johansson, Liam Hemsworth and Chris Rock. He no longer works at the firm.

In 2014, he published a collection of short stories titled “White Man’s Problems,” and in 2016 published his debut novel “All Joe Knight,” which was listed as Amazon Best Book of the Month in Literature and Fiction in December 2016.

Hunter Biden has been under investigation for failing to pay taxes since his father was vice-president, but in 2018 investigators began probing his international business dealings intersected with President Biden’s political career.

In October 2020, The Post exclusively revealed a hard drive holding the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop that he abandoned at a Delaware repair shop contained a cache of emails that detailed how the president’s son used his political leverage in his overseas business dealings.

President Biden is likely to evade an audit that could reveal whether he made money from his son Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings after the IRS rejected a whistleblower complaint that alleged the 46th President owes at least $127,000 in taxes, The Post reported earlier this week.

More human remains were discovered at Lake Mead in Nevada Saturday afternoon following last week’s discovery of other human remains in a barrel at the newly exposed bottom of the lake.

Last Sunday, boaters discovered skeletal remains inside a barrel at the bottom of Lake Mead. A severe drought has depleted its water levels so much that Las Vegas’ uppermost water intake became visible last week.

Homicide Lt. Ray Spencer said the body was that of a man who had been shot. He said the killing probably happened in the mid-1970s to early 1980s because the victim was wearing shoes that were manufactured around that time.

Up to 11,000 troops marched on Moscow’s iconic Red Square on Monday as Russia celebrated the 77th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany during World War II. The conflict is largely called the Great Patriotic War in Russia, and May 9 is one of the country’s most revered holidays.

The marching columns represented all branches of Russia’s Armed Forces, including airborne troops, military police, national guardsmen and cadets.

Day after visiting Ukraine, Jill Biden meets with Slovakian president

First lady Jill Biden wrapped up her four-day trip to eastern Europe Monday by meeting with Slovakian President Zuzana Caputova in Bratislava, Slovakia. Landmines left behind by Russian troops have delayed humanitarian aid convoys and have killed civilians in Ukraine.

Texas Republicans say if Roe falls, they’ll focus on adoptions and preventing women from seeking abortions elsewhere

At least some of the more conservative members of the House said they also want to ensure strict enforcement of the abortion ban and to prevent pregnant Texans from seeking legal abortions in other states.

Texas already has an arsenal of statutes to punish virtually anyone involved in the procurement of an abortion, said University of Texas at Austin law professor Liz Sepper. These include last year’s Senate Bill 8, which empowers private citizens to sue anyone who “abets” an abortion after six weeks of gestational age, as well as unenforced pre-Roe abortion statutes criminalizing a person who gets the procedure, which the Legislature never repealed — some dating to the 1850s.

“If Roe is overturned, there’s already a criminal ban, there’s already an aiding and abetting ban, there’s already a ban on mailing medication abortion,” Sepper said. “In terms of law’s ability to change behavior, they’ve almost filled all the gaps — with the exception of criminalizing the pregnant person involved in an abortion.”

Cain said he has a particular interest in going after abortion funds, which seek contributions from donors to help defray the cost of out-of-state trips for pregnant Texans to receive the procedure, citing a state law that prohibits “furnishing the means for procuring an abortion.”

In a March letter to one such group, the Lilith Fund, Cain threatened to file a bill in the coming legislative session that would empower district attorneys to prosecute abortion-related crimes across the state even when local authorities refuse to do so.

As Russia celebrated the defeat of fascism in WWII, President Zelensky of Ukraine shared an image of a soldier wearing an SS patch

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky marked World War II Victory Day by sharing an image of a Ukrainian soldier wearing the ‘death’s head’ patch of an elite Nazi Waffen SS unit. While the picture was soon deleted from his social media, the Ministry of Defense in Kiev also posted the photo.

The offending item was placed on Instagram and Telegram by Zelensky, on Monday. In it, a soldier next to an artillery gun wears the ‘death’s head,’ or “totenkopf” insignia of the 3rd SS Panzer Division, a unit of elite Nazi soldiers infamous for committing numerous war crimes and massacres of French civilians and Polish Jews. Zelensky himself is of Jewish heritage.

Advocacy groups consider the death’s head logo a “hate symbol” used by “Neo-Nazis and other white supremacists.”

While the photo was soon removed, it was also posted to Twitter by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, under a quote by Zelensky acknowledging May 9 as the “Day of Victory over Nazism.”

In a speech commemorating Victory Day, which marks the defeat of Nazi Germany by the Soviet Union, Zelensky on Sunday accused Russia of imposing "a bloody reconstruction of Nazism" upon Ukraine.

In Moscow, however, Russian President Vladimir Putin slammed the US and its NATO allies for supporting “Nazis” in Ukraine, and described the military operation there as a “pre-emptive strike at the aggression.”

Ukraine is the only country in the world that has integrated openly neo-Nazi militias into its national military, and while these militias were once described by Western media as “neo-Nazi,” they are now referred to as “far-right groups.” Since Russian troops entered Ukraine in February, stashes of Nazi paraphernalia have been found in the houses and bases of these militia members, and social media accounts run by the Ukrainian government have posted similar images of soldiers wearing Nazi and far-right symbols.

The premiere of the much-anticipated movie ‘2000 Mules’ was held last week in theaters across the country and in a virtual premiere online on Saturday night.

In the film, Dinesh D’Souza and True the Vote investigators provide answers and evidence on the stolen 2020 Election.

True the Vote investigators Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips have identified over 2000 ballot trafficking mules in all of the battleground states. These “mules” deposited hundreds of thousands of ballots into ballot drop boxes during the 2020 election. The ballot fraud scheme produced enough ballots to steal the election for Joe Biden.

According to the evidence discussed in the movie, if you factor in just the identified ballot trafficking, Trump won with 305 electoral votes. That does not even count all the other fraud that occurred during the election like the mysterious ballot drops at 3 in the morning or the questionable voting machines.

The movie discusses the Democrat-linked stash houses but does not mention any names or locations.

On Saturday Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips announced they will be releasing ALL of the addresses of the ballot stash houses. Look for the Democrats to squirm.

Following the release of “2000 Mules” last week something peculiar took place in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Election Commission (WEC) took down its voter roll list of all the 7.2 million names on the state’s voter rolls.

Police round up hundreds of Palestinians in Israel illegally after Elad attack

Over 850 detained since Thursday, including over 500 in last day amid nationwide operation launched following deadly assault by Palestinians who sneaked through fence

Police said on Monday they detained 501 Palestinians who were in Israel illegally over the past day as part of an ongoing massive arrest sweep.

On Friday, Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai ordered law enforcement to begin a nationwide operation against Palestinians who illegally enter Israel from the West Bank, and those who assist them, following Thursday’s deadly terror attack in Elad.

The police said on Monday that forces are operating “openly and clandestinely at all times” against illegal entry.

It also said that 51 people have been arrested for helping people to enter illegally, employing them or housing them.

Police said that in total, 851 Palestinians and 91 people suspected of aiding them have been arrested so far in the operation.

Breaches in the West Bank security barrier utilized by workers have been used by terrorists responsible for a number of attacks inside Israel in recent weeks, leading to vows from defense officials that the gaps will be repaired and the wall better guarded. Several of the attackers have crossed from the northern West Bank, leading the army to concentrate efforts in that area.

The most recent such attack was the deadly axe and knife spree in Elad on Thursday, in which three Israelis were killed. One of the victims, 35-year-old shuttle driver Oren Ben Yiftah from Lod, drove Subhi Emad Subhi Abu Shqeir and As’ad Yousef As’ad al-Rifa’i from the area of the West Bank security barrier, where they are believed to have sneaked into Israel, to the ultra-Orthodox city.

Cecilia Muñoz(born July 27, 1962) is an American political advisor who served as Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council under President Obama, a position she held for five years. Prior to that, she served as the White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for three years.

Before working for the White House, she was Senior Vice President for the Office of Research, Advocacy and Legislation at theNational Council of La Raza(NCLR), the largest Latino advocacy organization in the United States. [1] At NCLR, she supervised all legislative and advocacy activities conducted by NCLR policy staff. She was also the Chair of the Board of the Center for Community Change and served on the U.S. Programs Board of theOpen Society Instituteand on the boards of directors of theAtlantic Philanthropiesand the National Immigration Forum. In 2000, she was named a MacArthur Fellow for her work on civil rights and immigration.[2]

Judicial Watch: Documents Show Texas Researcher Warned Wuhan Lab of COVID Investigation by Congress

Judicial Watch announced today that it obtained 412 pages of new records that show the director of the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Dr. James W. Le Duc warned Chinese researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology of potential investigations into the covid issue by Congress.

Additionally, the documents show Le Duc praising the Wuhan researchers and Chinese officials for their transparency and handling of the COVID-19 outbreak, and, in April 2021, Le Duc accepting a request to be on the Biosafety Advisory Committee of Westlake University in Hangzhou, China. (James Le Duc, PhD, is the director of the Galveston National Laboratory, one of the largest active biocontainment facilities on a U.S. academic campus.)

The records were obtained in response to Judicial Watch’s January 20, 2020, Texas Public Information Act (PIA) request to the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) that asked for:

All emails, email chains, text messages, email attachments, calendar invitations, and calendar invitation attachments by James W. LeDuc, Director, Galveston National Laboratory, University of Texas Medical Branch, to and from domains ending in nih.gov or .cn (the Peoples Republic of China Government Domain) containing any of the following terms and parameters:

Wuhan within 10 words of coronavirus OR covid* OR SARS-CoV-2;

Wuhan within 10 words of mcl OR lab* OR institute;

Wuhan within 10 words of virology OR virus OR disease*;

Wuhan within 10 words of biocontainment;

Wuhan within 10 words of safety OR scien* OR breach;

Peter within 10 words of Daszak.

The records include an email dated April 16, 2020, with the subject line “Rubio” from former Commander of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases David Franz who informs Le Duc, “I heard from someone in government this evening that Senator Rubio is starting to push for an investigation regarding Wuhan lab. Just found it on the web at Forbes by Kenneth Repoza. "This may be the worst deal I've seen in my business career," said former Sen. David Perdue, who headed two Fortune 500 companies before entering politics.

A scandal is brewing in Georgia's Republican gubernatorial primary, with candidate and former Sen. David Perdue accusing incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp of engaging in shady backroom deals and lining the pockets of liberal megadonor George Soros as part of a massive new economic development project in the Peach State.

"This may be the worst deal I've seen in my business career, honestly," Perdue told the "Just the News, Not Noise" television program on Friday. "This was just done the wrong way. And I've called the governor out on that, and we've had no response."

Earlier this week, state and local officials in Georgia inked a deal to dole out $1.5 billion of incentives to electric vehicle startup Rivian for it to build a $5 billion manufacturing plant east of Atlanta that will create 7,500 jobs.

The incentives include major tax credits, a 25-year no-cost lease, and more than $198 million in site and road improvements on nearly 2,000 acres.

The incentive package is by far the largest Georgia has ever offered to a company and, according to Greg LeRoy, executive director of Good Jobs First, the largest ever given by any U.S. state to an auto plant.

Perdue on Friday described Rivian, a California-based company committed to fighting climate change, as "woke," noting Soros is a major investor. He made a similar point earlier this week.

"Think about how many small businesses in Georgia could be helped for this kind of money, instead of padding George Soros' pockets," Perdue said Monday. "Kemp gave away the farm to a woke corporation for something the locals don't even want, and hardworking Georgians are left footing the bill."

Late last year, Soros bought about 20 million shares of Rivian worth about $2.1 billion at the time, according to securities filings revealed in February. The purchase made Soros, among the country's most prominent backers of progressive causes, one of the biggest investors in Rivian.

The deal to build the Rivian electric vehicle plant was first announced in December. Since then, Kemp has touted it as the biggest economic development project in Georgia history.

"I support 7,500 great-paying jobs going to rural Georgia, to an automobile manufacturing facility," Kemp said during a debate on Sunday. "I'm going to always be for that."

The 7,500 jobs will be created by Rivian when the plant is fully built by the end of 2028, with an average salary of $56,000 a year.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today puts into motion a plan which will trigger a procedural vote related to abortion on Wednesday.

To be clear: There WILL NOT be a vote on Wednesday on whether to codify Roe.

The vote which takes place is several steps removed from an actual up/down vote on passing a bill to make Roe the law of the land.

The vote on Wednesday will be a vote to end debate on the motion to actually begin debate on the bill.

Such a procedural vote to break a filibuster needs 60 yeas. It will fall well short. This is similar to a vote on February 28 which failed. That was a vote to overcome a filibuster just to start debate on a bill the House approved in September to codify Roe.

Tonight, Schumer will file “cloture” to end debate on the motion to proceed to the abortion related bill. By rule, a “cloture petition” (which ends debate) must lay over for an intervening day.

Thus, the vote to end debate on the filibuster to start debate on the bill “ripens” on Wednesday if Schumer files cloture today and Tuesday is the intervening day.

Expect abortion politics to dominate the week in the Senate.

One thing on which to focus: Pro-life Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA). Casey is the son of late Pennsylvania Gov. Bob Casey Sr. (D). The elder Casey is the “Casey” in the landmark 1992 Supreme Court decision Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Gov. Casey signed abortion restrictions which were upheld by the High Court.

The senator is pro-life. But he voted yea on the motion to break the filibuster to start debate on the House-passed bill to codify Roe in February.

He also scored a 72 percent score from NARAL Pro-Choice America in 2020. He also opposed the near total ban on abortion approved a few years ago in Alabama.

Aman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following the discovery of a one-year-old child who was covered in a flammable liquid.

Jamie Avery Jr, of Florida, faces a charge of attempted aggravated murder and is currently being held in jail in Seneca County, New York, according to ABC7.

Authorities in Seneca County said during a press conference that the 28-year-old allegedly set multiple fires at a truck stop in Tyre, in the northeastern part of New York state.

Police arrived at the Love truck stop and found a one-year-old dosed in a flammable liquid and another child, aged four, with a head injury, reported WPBF.

“It is alleged that the two suspects had poured a flammable liquid on the one-year-old child and attempted to light the child on fire inside the building,” said Lt Timothy Thompson.

“Luckily the two were unsuccessful,” the police spokesperson said, while adding that a “suspicious device” was located in the men’s bathroom, which turned out to be a “makeshift replica” of an explosive device.

According to WPBF, authorities believe the one-year-old and four-year-old are related to Mr Avery Jr, who remains in custody. He is also face charges of arson, reports say.

In an earlier statement, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said it was investigating “an incident that occurred” at the Love’s truck stop in Tyre, but did not give further details.

“This morning charges were filed against one suspect with another suspect pending,” the police said in that statement of Mr Avery Jr and another individual, who has not been named. “Charges include Attempted Aggravated Murder”.

Both children are expected to make a recovery and Mr Thompson was quoted as saying that the “Circumstances surrounding the four-year-old are still under investigation”. That child was found in a tractor trailer.

Reports say charges are expected against the second person.

It was not clear if Mr Avery Jr had a lawyer.

On May 9, Russia will celebrate Victory Day, marking the 77th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany. Unfortunately, the struggle against Nazi ideology continues to this day and, sadly, the United States finds itself on the wrong side of history, supporting those whom we once were sworn to defeat, while fighting against those whom we once called allies.

I can’t help but think that Tom Brokow’s “Greatest Generation” would be ashamed by the actions of those for whom they sacrificed everything, and who have still proven insufficient for the task of honoring their memory in action and in deed.

Some of the largest US wildfires spread across the northeastern region of New Mexico, an area that is in dire straits as hundreds of thousands of acres have been scorched.

The National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has identified six wildfires burning across the state. The fires have consumed more than 280k acres as of Monday morning. Out of the six, here are the three major ones:

Hermits Peak (size 176k acres), 12 miles northwest of Las Vegas, New Mexico

Cooks Peak (size 59k acres), located north of Ocate in Mora County

Cerro Pelado (size 37.5k acres), located 7 miles east of Jemez Springs in Sandoval County

Kenneth Francis Hackett(born January 27, 1947) served as the United States Ambassador to the Holy See from August 2013 until January 2017.[1] He was previously president of Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
