"ABC News has obtained surveillance video from a south Minneapolis restaurant that shows the moments leading up to George Floyd's arrest and eventual death at the hands of Minneapolis police officers.

The video was taken from outside Dragon Wok at 38th Street and Chicago Avenue — just across the street from where a police officer knelt on Floyd's neck for several minutes, rendering him unresponsive.

The video, which was provided by Dragon Wok owner Rashad West, shows two police officers walk across the street to approach a parked SUV. The officers are seen talking with the people inside the vehicle. Two people step out from the front and back passenger doors while an officer is taking Floyd, who was sitting in the driver's seat, into custody.

After Floyd is put into handcuffs, the officer walks him over to the sidewalk and over to the building nearby. Floyd's back is placed against the wall, and Floyd is sat down.

Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto withdraws from Biden VP consideration

Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto said Thursday she does not want to be presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s vice presidential pick.

“It is an honor to be considered as a potential running mate, but I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration," she said in a statement. “Nevada's economy is one of the hardest hit by the current crisis and I will continue to focus on getting Nevadans the support they need to get back on their feet.”

Her withdrawal comes as the scrutiny intensifies around whom Biden will pull onto his presidential ticket. She was one of several women suggested as a possible running mate.

Cortez Masto, 56, served as Nevada's attorney general in 2006 — a role that meant working with Beau Biden, who was then Delaware's attorney general. In 2016, she became the first Latina elected to the U.S. Senate.

Despite Cortez Masto having mostly stayed out of the limelight, some activists believed the senator could give Biden and down-ballot Democrats a better chance in states with dense Latino populations, including Arizona, Texas, and Florida — states that went to Donald Trump in 2016.

“I support Joe Biden 100% and will work tirelessly to help get him elected this November,” Cortez Masto said in her statement.

In a Thursday evening statement, Biden said Nevadans are fortunate to have Cortez Masto fighting for them in Washington. "I've admired Senator Cortez-Masto as long as I have known her because she’s a leader with integrity," he added.

During the search for a vice presidential pick, Biden allies have said former rivals Sens. Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren possess an edge because of their own past presidential runs. Harris had emerged as the early favorite, while more than a dozen black and Latino activists and strategists have warned against picking Klobuchar. But a POLITICO/Morning Consult poll released this week showed Warren boosting Biden’s candidacy the most of any potential choice, especially among people under 45 and black and Hispanic voters.

The campaign was reportedly torn over choosing an African American or a progressive running mate. Biden recently confirmed that "multiple black women [are] being considered" for vice president. Other than Harris, those often named include former Georgia gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams and Florida Rep. Val Demings.

Where does the phrase 'When the looting starts, the shooting starts' come from?

WASHINGTON — Twitter said early Friday that a post by President Donald Trump about the protests overnight in Minneapolis glorified violence because of the historical context of his last line: "When the looting starts, the shooting starts."

The phrase was used by Miami's police chief, Walter Headley, in 1967, when he addressed his department's "crackdown on ... slum hoodlums," according to a United Press International article from the time.

Headley, who was chief of police in Miami for 20 years, said that law enforcement was going after “young hoodlums, from 15 to 21, who have taken advantage of the civil rights campaign. ... We don't mind being accused of police brutality."

Miami hadn't faced "racial disturbances and looting," Headley added, because he let word filter down that "when the looting starts, the shooting starts."

The phrase was considered to have contributed to the city's race riots in the late 1960s, according to The Washington Post.

Headley, who died only a few months later in 1968 and had been denounced by civil rights leaders, was described in an Associated Press obituary as the "architect of a crime crackdown that sent police dogs and shotgun-toting patrolmen into Miami's slums in force."

Later Friday morning, hours after Twitter noted that Trump's initial tweet violated rules, the White House official Twitter account posted the same tweet with the "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" phrase.

At least seven people were shot, one critically, in Louisville, Ky., Thursday night during a protest over the fatal police shooting of a black woman in her home in March, the Louisville Metro Police confirmed.

Police said “some arrests” had been made after a shooting was reported around 11:30 p.m.

The protests continued for more than six hours, ending in the early hours of Friday as rain poured down.

Between 500 and 600 protesters took to the streets to seek justice for Breonna Taylor, an EMT who was shot by police after they entered her apartment with a “no knock” search warrant.

The department said officers were returning fire after Taylor’s boyfriend shot at them.

“Understandably, emotions are high,” Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer tweeted after the shooting was reported. “As Breonna's mother says let's be peaceful as we work toward truth and justice.”

Police said “No officers discharged their service weapons,” during the protest and all seven victims were civilians.

Police didn't specify who the shooter or shooters were or if they had been identified.

The protest happened the same night as protesters demonstrating against the police custody death of George Floyd set fire to a police station in Minneapolis.

Protests, some violent, over Floyd’s death were also held in other cities across the country Thursday.

Taylor, 26, was shot eight times on March 13 after Louisville narcotics detectives knocked down the front door. No drugs were found in the home.

“Louisville, thank you so much for saying Breonna's name tonight. We are not going to stop until we get justice,” a woman in a video tweeted by the mayor said. Fischer’s tweet said it was a message from Taylor’s family. “But we should stop tonight before people get hurt. Please go home, be safe and be ready to keep fighting.”

Meanwhile, live video from downtown Louisville around 12:30 a.m. showed some protesters behind makeshift wooden barricades, which appeared to be made out of picnic tables spray-painted with the words “You can’t kill us all.” Police in body armor and face shields held batons and lined up around Louisville City Hall. They appeared to fire rubber bullets and deploy tear gas canisters, fogging the air and inducing coughs among the remaining members of the crowd.

Taylor’s family sued the police department over her death earlier this month.

Less than four hours before the deadline for Gov. J.B. Prtizker to file his response to the U.S. Supreme Court to the emergency injunction request brought by two Romanian churches, the governor unilaterally removed all restrictions on churches and houses of worship.

Within a few hours yesterday after two Romanian churches filed an emergency injunction pending appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice Kavanaugh ordered Gov. Pritzker to respond by 8:00 p.m. Thursday night. Just before the deadline, Gov. Prtizker issued “guidelines” for houses of worship, none of which are mandatory.

Data has also been dismal this month on the labor market, manufacturing production and homebuilding.

The Commerce Department said consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, plunged 13.6% last month, the biggest drop since the government started tracking the series in 1959. It eclipsed the previous all-time decrease of 6.9% in March.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast consumer spending would plummet 12.6% in April. Spending was depressed by a decrease in outlays on healthcare as dental offices closed and hospitals postponed elective surgeries and non-emergency visits to focus on patients suffering from COVID-19. The disease has killed over 100,000 people in the United States, the highest death toll in the world.

Spending declined at restaurants, which have shifted to delivery and pick-up service only, and hotels and motels. Spending on food and beverages fell in April. But the COVID-19 crisis boosted incomes for consumers in April as the government’s historic fiscal package worth nearly $3 trillion doled out one-time $1,200 checks to millions of people and boosted unemployment benefits for the roughly 31 million out of work to cushion against economic hardship wrought by the pandemic.

Personal income surged a record 10.5% last month after falling 2.2% in March. Savings soared to a historic $4 trillion, with the saving rate hitting a record 33%. But business closures weighed on wages, which dropped 8.0% in April after falling 3.5% in March.

“The saving rate represents both opportunity and a warning,” said Chris Low, chief economist at FHN in New York. “If the economy reopens quickly without consequence these savings represent considerable spending power in the second half. If it takes longer to reopen the economy, these savings will be used for sustenance over the next few months.” The economy is gradually reopening after nonessential businesses were shuttered in mid-March to slow the spread of COVID-19, raising hope economic slump was nearing a bottom.

Stocks on Wall Street were trading lower as investors braced for a U.S. response to China’s national security law on Hong Kong. The dollar fell against a basket of currencies, while U.S. Treasury prices rose.

Barack Obama threw gas on the fire Friday morning and used the death of George Floyd to condemn America as racist.

The divider-in-chief strikes again!

Violent protests erupted on Wednesday and continued into Thursday after a Minneapolis police officer killed a black man named George Floyd using excessive force during an arrest on Monday.

Rioters set entire blocks on fire and razed buildings to the ground.

Minneapolis police retreated and abandoned the 3rd precinct Thursday night as rioters set fire to the building.

The National Guard was activated early Thursday afternoon but they were no where to be seen.

The Democrat governor and Democrat mayor lost total control and (purposely) allowed countless businesses to be destroyed.

Barack Obama added fuel to the fire on Friday morning in a statement condemning America.

Obama tacitly encouraged more riots by refusing to condemn the looters and rioters for destroying businesses.

“I want to share parts of the conversations I’ve had with friends over the past couple days about the footage of George Floyd dying face down on the street under the knee of a police officer in Minnesota,” Obama said.

“[We] have to remember that for millions of Americans, being treated differently on account of race is tragically, painfully, maddeningly “normal” – whether it’s while dealing with the health care system, or interacting with the criminal justice system, or jogging down the street, or just watching birds in a park,” Obama said. He continued, “This shouldn’t be “normal” in 2020 America. It can’t be “normal.” If we want our children to grow up in a nation that lives up to its highest ideals, we can and must be better.”

We don’t remember Obama releasing a statement condemning blacks or Muslims after Somali-born cop Mohamed Noor shot Justine Damond point blank in the chest.

Far-Left Extremists Arrested While Attempting to Bomb Home of Former Greek Minister

Greek police arrested two far-left extremists in Thessaloniki, after the pair attempted to set off explosives at the house of conservative former Minister of State Dimitris Stamatis.

The pair, a 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were arrested on Wednesday morning in the Kalamariá area of the city as the male was attempting to detonate improvised explosives he had hidden in his backpack.

Following the arrests, police raided four houses in the centre of the city connected with the pair. Investigators found a tear gas grenade, four homemade explosives, a slingshot with metal bolts, plastic bottles full of flammable material, cannabis, and electronics that will be examined by a crime lab, Proto Thema reports.

Police suspect another ten people as being connected to the case, and prosecutors have said they will charge the pair with several indictments including attempted bombing, possession of explosives, possession of small amounts of narcotics, and forming a criminal organisation.

Both of the suspects have denied the allegations, according to their lawyers.

Investigators were tipped off to the pair’s activities after watching the woman observe a nearby apartment while on her bicycle. The 27-year-old male was seen visiting the area a short time later and trying to light fuses for the improvised explosives.

The case comes just over a week after far-left Antifa extremists were believed to be behind a coordinated number of arson attacks across Athens, with 40 people arrested in connection with the incident. All suspects were later released due to a lack of evidence.

The attempted bomb plot against former minister Stamatis echoes the bombing of a party office of Matteo Salvini’s League in the city of Treviso in August of 2018.

The far-left “Santiago Maldonado Cell” later took credit for the bombing which damaged the door at the entrance. Police were able to disarm a second explosive device that is believed to have been the main bomb. The first was designed to lure police.

Spanish anarchist Juan Antonio Sorroche Fernandez was arrested last year in connection with the bombing, a long-time far-left extremist.

Police Investigate Human Trafficking, Slavery of Romanian Fruit Pickers

Kent police arrested five people in connection with the alleged trafficking and exploitation of Romanian fruit pickers.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate confirmed on Thursday that a raid was conducted last Friday on a property in Chatham, in the Medway area. Four men, aged 19 to 39, and one woman, aged 41, were arrested. They were later released from custody, pending further police inquiries.

Several suspected victims of slavery have also since been taken to places of safety, according to KentOnline.

Detective Sergeant Stacey Chapman, of the Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking team, told the regional news outlet: “Victims of modern slavery and human trafficking offences are often made to work long hours for very little reward, brought to this country on the promise of a better life but forced to endure terrible living conditions and threatened with violence or deportation if they dare to challenge those responsible.”

In 2017, the National Crime Agency (NCA) warned that modern slavery was on the rise in the UK and was “far more prevalent than previously thought”.

The NCA blamed the European Union’s regime of Freedom of Movement — where citizens of member states can live and work in any other member state, with no minimum salary requirements or visas — for the rise. NCA director Will Kerr said at the time it was “definitely a factor”, adding: “Where you can move more freely… there will be gangs who will look to get involved in that process.”

It is believed that there are tens of thousands of slaves around the country, forced into prostitution and labour. While it is said to affect all areas of the United Kingdom, Scotland Yard’s head of the anti-slavery unit said in 2017 that London had become a global hotspot.

Another Convicted Child Sex Offender Arrested After Re-Entering U.S.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents arrested yet another previously convicted and deported child sex offender after he illegally re-entered the United States in Southern California. This is the second arrest in less than a week in this border sector.

Agents patrolling on Interstate 8 a few miles east of Ocotillo, California, on Wednesday morning stopped a vehicle they suspected of smuggling illegal immigrants, according to information provided by El Centro Sector Border Patrol officials. Inside the vehicle, the agents identified the driver and five passengers.

During an immigration interview, the agents identified the driver as a 44-year-old United States citizens, officials reported. They also identified all five passengers as Mexican nationals — all illegally present in the United States.

The agents carried out an initial medical screening to ensure the migrants were safe for transport. They then transported the migrants and the suspected human smuggler to the Border Patrol station for processing and a criminal background investigation.

During a biometric background check, the agents identified one of the illegal aliens as a previously convicted sex offender. A Santa Maria court convicted the man for “Sex with a Minor 3 Plus Years Younger,” officials reported. The court sentenced the Mexican man to 18 months in prison following the conviction.

The agents processed the driver for Alien Smuggling charges under 8 USC 1324.

Under Title 42 Coronavirus protection protocols put in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, al five of the adult Mexican males were expelled to Mexico.

Officials said this is the second incident in less than a week where agents arrested previously convicted and deported child sex offenders. On Saturday, Calexico Station Border Patrol agents patrolling the border about 18 miles west of the Calexico West Port of Entry early on Saturday morning encountered a man they believed had illegally crossed the border from Mexico, Breitbart Texas reported.

After an initial medical screening, the agents took the Mexican man to the Calexico Station for a biometric background investigation. During a records check, the agent discovered that a court in Santa Clara, California, convicted the man for “Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child” in July 2007, officials reported. The court sentenced the man with an extensive criminal history to one year in jail following the conviction. Records also revealed that immigration officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) removed the Mexican national on two previous occasions. Officials did not disclose the dates of the previous removals.

U.K. proposes citizenship for Hong Kong residents

The U.K. is looking to provide Hong Kong residents with a path to citizenship in response to China’s controversial new national security law. British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab announced the proposed policy change Thursday.

It would affect Hong Hong British national passport holders, which is a group of about 300,000 people who lived in the region before it became Chinese territory. Raab said the move would extend visa rights, allowing Hong Kong nationals to stay in the U.K. for longer than six-months.

“If China continues down this path and implements this national security legislation, we will change that status and we will remove that six month limit and allow those BNO passport holders to come to the U.K.,” explained the secretary. “And to apply to work and study for extendable periods of 12 months, and that would itself provide a pathway to future citizenship.”

Small clash reported at northern checkpoint, but violence is still down

The three-day Afghanistan ceasefire for Eid al-Fitr came to an end on Thursday, with reports of a handful of skirmishes, including a Taliban attack on checkpoints in Parwan Province. Despite this, Afghan officials say violence is still down substantially, so in many ways the truce is still holding.

Hopes for more diplomacy seem to be alive as well, with the Taliban sending a negotiation team to Kabul to continue discussing prisoner releases. The Afghan government released a lot of prisoners during the ceasefire.

Making deals on prisoner release would be a huge goal for the Taliban, and with the Ghani government wanting to keep a truce roughly in place, this is a good chance for a mutually beneficial exchange.

The three-day ceasefire was a good step toward showing everyone in Afghanistan that a peace process was possible, and while the deadline expired, there is plenty of room to keep the making gains toward a peace deal.

A police officer fired following the death of unarmed black man George Floyd in Minneapolis has been arrested and charged with murder and manslaughter.

Derek Chauvin is one of four police officers who were fired after Mr Floyd's death in custody on Monday.

There have been days of protests, looting and arson after Mr Chauvin was filmed kneeling on George Floyd.

The case has added to US anger over police killings of black Americans.

The Israeli army opened fire with automatic weapons in a disputed territory of the Shebaa farms located on the border with Lebanon when a shepherd was grazing his flocks of sheep on the border zone, the state-run Lebanese NNA news agency reported on Friday.

An incident occurred this morning in the Jabal al-Shahel district on the outskirts of the Shebaa farms, the NNA news outlet reported, adding that no one was injured.

The Shebaa farms is disputed land between Lebanon, Israel and Syria. The Lebanese Hezbollah political movement, in turn, stated that this territory belongs to Beirut and that the Israeli military should withdraw from it.

Earlier in May, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the head of the movement's executive council, said in an interview with Al Mayadeen broadcaster that Hezbollah did not seek war with Israel but was preparing for any possible scenario.

Arizona Schools To Reopen In Fall, Gov. Ducey Says

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced on Thursday that the state’s schools would resume in-person instruction in the fall.

“We’re planning ahead to get kids and teachers safely back in the classroom for the start of the fall school year,” Ducey said in a statement, adding that the reopening of Arizona was moving forward “with a calm and steady approach” that includes following public health guidance and tracking COVID-19 infection data.

The number of new daily cases of COVID-19 in the state has declined since hitting a May 15 peak of 565, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services. Delta and United are expected to begin firing thousands of employees after Sept. 30

The protection from layoffs enshrined in the CARES Act ends on this date

Both companies have made public their plans to go small

Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, the world’s second and third largest airlines in terms of fleet size, are about to lay off tens of thousands of employees starting this year as COVID-19 continues to slow down passenger air travel to a painful crawl.

Delta employs close to 90,000 people worldwide while United has 96,000 employees. Both companies announced their intent to go small but aren't revealing how many people they plan to fire. Analysts said the numbers they have in mind might be close to or in excess of the 30% layoffs announced by American Airlines.

Delta and United won't be able to fire people until Oct. 1, however. The limitation on firing employees as a condition for the $58 billion bailout by the United States government's CARES Act expires Sept. 30. Half of this amount consisted of grant aid that covered airline payrolls and prevented layoffs through Sept. 30. Delta and United were among the airlines that took the money.

Delta is now laying the groundwork for what airline sources suspect will be massive layoffs. On Thursday, Delta said in a memo to its staff a "smaller Delta unfortunately means fewer people will be required." This means the obvious: layoffs or voluntary retirement.

The company is dangling two voluntary exit programs before the employees: one is a retirement package for employees that have worked at Delta for more than 25 years; the other is a buyout covering most of its workforce.

“While we never dreamed just a few months ago that we would be talking about a smaller Delta this was expected to be a year of growth, after all this is the reality we’re facing," wrote CEO Ed Bastian in the memo to employees. “Every voluntary departure helps to protect the jobs of those who most need them.”

United has been preparing its employees for the day of culling since late March. United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz and president Scott Kirby on March 27 sent a letter to all employees stating in stark terms layoff are in the company's future as no immediate relief can be expected from the dreadful plunge in passenger numbers.

Two days after the French government unveiled an $8.8 billion stimulus package to save its ailing auto industry, carmaker Renault said it will cut 15,000 jobs as part of a major global restructuring.

Of those job losses, 4,600 will occur in France itself. That will likely lead to several plant closures, although Renault has not identified them yet.

Renault has about 179,000 workers across the world.

Renault, which is 15% owned by the French government, also said it will reduce the number of its subcontractors in engineering, cut the number of components it uses, and suspend expansion plans in Romania and Morocco.

The company also plans to slash its global production capacity to 3.3 million vehicles from 4 million by 2024, while focusing more on small vans or electric cars. (Under former chairman Carlos Ghosn, Renault had sought to reach 5 million unit sales annually by 2022)

Renault said it hopes to save €2 billion ($2.2 billion) through these measures over the next three years.

Renault’s partner Nissan of Japan announced similar cost-cutting measures on Thursday.

"This plan is essential," said Renault’s interim CEO Clotilde Delbos. "We have to change our mindset. We're not looking to be on top of the world, what we want is a sustainable and profitable company… We [previously] thought too big in terms of sales.”

Delbos also said Renault will review each of its geographical regions to decide exactly where job cuts will occur.

"This will help us come back to our ideal size," she said.

Cruz Asks For Criminal Probe Into Twitter Over Alleged Violations Of Iranian Sanctions

Senator Ted Cruz, R-TX, penned a letter Friday to Attorney General William Barr and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin urging them to pursue a probe against Twitter “for possible criminal violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) (50 U.S.C. §§ 1701 et seq.) and sanctionable activities prohibited by Executive Order 13876 (E.O. 13876).”

In his letter, Cruz referred the officials back to his February 6th letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey “informing him that Twitter and its principals face criminal liability and sanctions exposure for providing social media accounts to Iranian persons designated as Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs) by the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) pursuant to E.O. 13876. You were copied on that letter, as were President Trump and the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California Anderson.”

Twitter, however, still allows officials such as Ali Khamenei (@khamenei_ir), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, and Javad Zarif (@JZarif), the Iranian Foreign Minister to hold accounts. Cruz added that that action is a direct violation of “IEEPA to issue E.O. 13876, which prohibits ‘the making of any contribution or provision of… goods[] or services’ to persons designated pursuant to that order” and called on Dorsey to remove them from the platform. Violating the IEEPA could result in the payment of $1 million in fines and up to 20 years in prison.

In an April 3rd response to Cruz, Twitter argued that it would violate the platform’s policy saying “to deny our service to [Iran’s] leaders at a time like this would be antithetical to the purpose of our company.” Moreover, they stated that it’s Twitter’s “goal is to elevate and amplify authoritative health information as far as possible.”

“The position cannot be aligned with Iranian policy as it actually exists or with how designated Iranian officials use Twitter,” Cruz said in his Friday letter. “Iranian officials ban Iranian citizens from accessing Twitter. In early April, Khamenei and Zarif used their Twitter accounts to post anti-American disinformation and conspiracy theories, not authoritative health information. They use their accounts provided by Twitter to threaten and taunt their enemies real and imagined. In any event, Twitter’s corporate values and grave misapprehension of the threat that Khamenei and Zarif pose are irrelevant. An American person’s disagreement with IEEPA or E.O. 13876 is no excuse for noncompliance.”

Still, Twitter maintains that they’re not violating IEEPA saying “[m]aking the Twitter platform available for use . . . as a tool of communication[] is broadly exempted from OFAC prohibitions.” According to Cruz, Twitter’s justification is baseless according to “The General License D-1 (GL D-1) to which Twitter implicitly refers creates an exception for services and software incident to Internet-based communication.” adding that “it expressly ‘does not authorize’ the services ‘to any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to any part of 31 C.F.R. chapter V, other than persons whose property and interests in property are blocked solely pursuant to Executive Order 13599 as the Government of Iran[.]’

Cruz continued, “Khamenei and Zarif are designated pursuant to E.O. 13876 and so the exception does not apply” adding that “E.O. 13876 authorizes sanctions against ‘any person’ who is determined to have ‘provided technological support for, or goods or services to’ such designated persons.”

Copied on the letter are President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, FBI Director Christopher Wray, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California David L. Anderson, and District Attorney of New York County, New York Cyrus R. Vance Jr.

German Official Invites Twitter To Move HQ To Germany

A German official has invited Twitter to move their headquarters to Germany where “you are free to criticize the government as well as to fight fake news.”

Thomas Jarzombek, who charges tech affairs for Germany’s Economic Affairs Ministry, added, “We have a great startup and tech ecosystem, your company would be a perfect fit and I will open any doors for you! @realDonaldTrump.”

President Donald Trump has been engaged in a back and forth with Twitter over the platform’s random fact-checking notices issued on some of his Tweets. For example, Twitter issued a warning to the President’s tweet late Thursday about destructive riots in Minneapolis in response to the death of George Floyd.

President Trump signed an Executive Order to put those social media companies “in check,” as Sara A. Carter wrote in a recent column.

“This order may one day allow federal regulators to fine Facebook, Google, Twitter and other social media platforms that operate more like publishers than platforms for free speech,” Carter wrote. “At question is Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which was enacted in 1996 and signed into legislation by then President Bill Clinton.”

“It was enacted to regulate pornography, as well as offensive communication content. Even though, it was seen as unconstitutional it was never abandoned but instead, adopted by “interactive computer service” that gives immunity from most lawsuits to tech companies from information posted on their platforms.

German Official Leaks Report Denouncing Corona as ‘A Global False Alarm’

Germany’s federal government and mainstream media are engaged in damage control after a report that challenges the established Corona narrative leaked from the interior ministry.

Some of the report key passages are:

The dangerousness of Covid-19 was overestimated: probably at no point did the danger posed by the new virus go beyond the normal level.

The people who die from Corona are essentially those who would statistically die this year, because they have reached the end of their lives and their weakened bodies can no longer cope with any random everyday stress (including the approximately 150 viruses currently in circulation).

Worldwide, within a quarter of a year, there has been no more than 250,000 deaths from Covid-19, compared to 1.5 million deaths [25,100 in Germany] during the influenza wave 2017/18.

The danger is obviously no greater than that of many other viruses. There is no evidence that this was more than a false alarm.

A reproach could go along these lines: During the Corona crisis the State has proved itself as one of the biggest producers of Fake News.

So far, so bad. But it gets worse.

The report focuses on the “manifold and heavy consequences of the Corona measures” and warns that these are “grave”.

More people are dying because of state-imposed Corona-measures than they are being killed by the virus.

The reason is a scandal in the making:

A Corona-focused German healthcare system is postponing life-saving surgery and delaying or reducing treatment for non-Corona patients.

Initially, the government tried to dismiss the report as “the work of one employee”, and its contents as “his own opinion” – while the journalists closed ranks, no questions asked, with the politicians.

But the 93-pages report titled “Analysis of the Crisis Management” has been drafted by a scientific panel appointed by the interior ministry and composed by external medical experts from several German universities.

The report was the initiative of a department of the interior ministry called Unit KM4 and in charge with the “Protection of critical infrastructures”.

This is also where the German official turned whistleblower, Stephen Kohn, work(ed), and from where he leaked it to the media.

The authors of the report issued a joint press release already on Mai 11th, berating the government for ignoring expert advise, and asking for the interior minister to officially comment upon the experts joint statement:

“Therapeutic and preventive measures should never bring more harm than the illness itself. Their aim should be to protect the risk groups, without endegearing the availibilty of medical care and the health of the whole population, as it is unfortunately occurring”

“We in the scientific and medical praxis are experiencing the secondary damages of the Corona-measures on our patients on a dialy basis.”

“We therefore ask the Federal Ministry of the Interior, to comment upon our press release, and we hope for a pertinent discussion regarding the [Corona] measures, one that leads to the best possible solution for the whole population”

At the time of writing, the German government had yet to react.

But the facts are – sadly – vindicating the medical experts’ worries.

On Mai 23 the German newspaper Das Bild titled: “Dramatic consequences of the Corona-Measures: 52,000 Cancer Ops delayed.”

Inside, a aeading medical doctor warns that “we will feel the side-effects of the Corona crisis for years”.

Turkish Multiple Rocket Launcher Spotted In Libya

The Turkish military has deployed at least one T-122 Sakarya multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) in Libya to support forces loyal to the Government of National Accord (GNA).

On May 28, Libyan and Turkish activists shared a photo of the MRLS on a highway near the town of Misrata in northern Libya. The rocket launcher will likely be operated directly by Turkish troops.

Developed by Turkey’s ROKETSAN, the T-122 MRLS consists of two pods of 122 mm launch tubes. The launcher is equipped with an advanced fire control system which calculates firing data automatically for rockets with different warheads and is capable of storing up to 20 target coordinates.

Turkey boosted its support for the GNA in the last few weeks. This enabled pro-GNA forces to make several significant achievements in western Libya, including the capture of al-Watyah Air Base from the Libya National Army (LNA).

The deployment of heavy weapons such as the T-122 MRLS indicates that Turkey is going on with its plans to support GNA forces. Ankara is not only shipping weapons to Libya, but also more Syrian militants.

Illinois police officer charged with possessing child pornography

SALEM, Wis. — An Illinois police officer residing in Wisconsin was charged Thursday with 10 counts of possessing child pornography.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force led the investigation. The following agencies provided valuable assistance: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office; Ontario Provincial Police; Tower Lakes Police Department (Illinois); Prairie Grove Police Department (Illinois); and, Lake County Sheriff’s Office (Illinois).

On May 27, 2020, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Mark A. Paglini residence in Salem, Wisconsin.

Paglini was later arrested and booked in the Kenosha County Jail.

As in any criminal proceeding, Paglini is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

This is an ongoing investigation; anyone with information is encouraged to call the HSI Tip Line at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE.

This investigation was conducted under HSI’s Operation Predator, an international initiative to protect children from sexual predators. Since the launch of Operation Predator in 2003, HSI has arrested more than 25,000 individuals for crimes against children, including the production and distribution of online child exploitation material, traveling overseas for sex with minors, and sex trafficking of children. In fiscal year 2019, more than 3,500 child predators were arrested by HSI special agents under this initiative and more than 1,000 victims identified or rescued.

HSI encourages the public to report suspected child predators and any suspicious activity through its toll-free Tip Line at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE or by completing its online tip form. Both are staffed around the clock by investigators. From outside the U.S. and Canada, callers should dial 802-872-6199. Hearing impaired users can call TTY 802-872-6196.

'They Broke Their Word': Trump Says Hong Kong No Longer Autonomous From China

During a Friday press conference at the White House, US President Donald Trump declared that "Hong Kong is no sufficiently autonomous to warrant the special treatment that we have afforded the territory" and is therefore subject to a number of restrictions.

"We will be revising the State Department’s travel advisory for Hong Kong to reflect the increased danger of surveillance and punishment by the Chinese state security apparatus," Trump noted.

The US president's comments concerning Hong Kong come just a day after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a similar assertion to Congress.

Pompeo argued that "Hong Kong does not continue to warrant treatment under United States laws in the same manner as US laws were applied to Hong Kong before July 1997."

This position follows the Chinese parliament's passing of a resolution to draft a security law that would prohibit secessionism in Hong Kong.

Oil surges 5% on U.S.-China trade optimism, falling crude output

Oil prices soared on Friday, with U.S. futures closing out May with record monthly gains, on hopes that the U.S.-China trade deal would remain intact and on falling crude production.

West Texas Intermediate crude futures CLc1 for July delivery settled at $35.49 a barrel, jumping $1.78, or 5.3%.

July Brent crude LCOc1 closed at $35.33 a barrel, gaining 4 cents. However, the more active August LCOc2 contract ended at $37.84, rising $1.81, or roughly 5%.

Both benchmarks saw steep monthly rises due to falling global production and expectations for demand growth as parts of the United States, including New York City, and other countries move to reopen after coronavirus-related lockdowns.

WTI recorded an all-time monthly rise of 88% after trading negative last month. Brent logged an increase of about 40% for its strongest monthly bounce since March 1999. Oil was also supported by a record-low number of U.S. and Canadian oil and gas rigs, which indicates a further drop in supply out of the world’s biggest crude producer. The U.S. oil and gas rig count fell by 17 to an all-time low of 301 this week, according to data from energy services firm Baker Hughes Co going back to 1940.

DNI Ratcliffe Releases Flynn-Kislyak Transcripts to Senators Grassley and Johnson

DNI John Ratcliffe released the Flynn-Kislyak transcripts on Friday afternoon.

Ratcliffe sent the transcripts to Senators Grassley, Ron Johnson. The transcripts were copied to Democrat Senators Dianne Feinstein and Mark Warner and Marco Rubio, Devin Nunes and Adam Schiff.

FOX News reported on the release today.

The transcripts have long been sought by lawmakers because they reveal the contents of the phone calls between Flynn and Kislyak during the presidential transition period. Flynn pleaded guilty for making false statements to the FBI about his conversations with Kislyak, a plea he later sought to withdraw.

“As I stated throughout the confirmation process, transparency is vital to allowing the American people to have confidence in the Intelligence Community,” Ratcliffe said in a statement. “As the Director of National Intelligence, it is my obligation to review declassification requests with the overarching priority of protecting sources and methods, while also providing transparency whenever possible. Accordingly, today the Office of the Director of National Intelligence declassified transcripts concerning Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.”

The transcripts were declassified by Richard Grenell on his way out as acting director of national intelligence, leaving the decision on whether to make those documents public up to Ratcliffe, who was officially sworn in as director on Tuesday.

Ratcliffe, in his first major move as DNI, sent the declassified transcripts of phone conversations between Flynn and Kislyak to Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ron Johnson, R-Wis., on Friday. The Flynn-Kislyak phone calls took place in 2016 on Dec. 22 and Dec. 29.

“In response to bipartisan requests regarding the LTG Michael Flynn (Retired) transcripts, please find the enclosed declassified documents,” Ratcliffe wrote to Johnson and Grassley on Friday, copying Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Mark Warner, D-Va., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Devin Nunes, R-Calif.

Referring to the Iranian cyber-attack last month, which was contained by Israeli counter-measures, Unna said, “If it had been successful, and fortunately we managed to foil it and prevent it, but if the bad guys had succeeded in their plot, we would be now facing, in the middle of the corona crisis, very big damage to the civilian population,” including interruption in the water supply and chemical contamination.

He noted that the attack was also unique in that it was not criminal, but rather a military-style assault on essential civilian infrastructure.

Israel, he said, believed that this represented a paradigm shift for which it must prepare.

“We are now waiting for the next phase to come,” Unna said, “and it will come eventually. … I’m afraid that [the attack is] only the first major sign of a new era of attacks aiming at humanitarian targets.”

In addition, the Iranian attack indicated a major escalation in cyber-warfare, he stated.

“If we thought there are some rules of engagement or some lines that shouldn’t be or never be crossed, well all the lines are crossed and going to cross even harder in the coming future,” he said.

“The cyber winter is coming and coming faster than even I suspected,” Unna added, saying attacks will now become “more sophisticated and deadlier.”

Countries around the world, he implored, must now make preparations accordingly.

“The risk management at a national level should be in a new phase,” he said.

This new false flag operation, immediately on the heels of their COVID-19 false flag, is no coincidence — it demonstrates that they are intent upon accelerating these planned events so that the public is not allowed to catch their collective breaths and investigate any of them too deeply.

This new threatening phrase they are using — “cyber winter” — evokes ‘nuclear winter’, a bugaboo from the fake Cold War, and will soon be repeated in the media non-stop.

Check out this strange website, which is affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense, called CyberWinterStudios.

Interestingly, the same 2010 Rockefeller Foundation report titled “Scenarios for the Future Of Technology and International Development” which predicted the recent “pandemic” almost to a “T” also predicted another disaster involving a major “Hack Attack” against major computer systems.

Judith Rodin, the President of the Rockefeller Foundation who wrote the preface to this uncannily prophetic report, just so happens to be Jewish, and she just so happens to sit on the board of directors of BlackRock, one of the world’s largest global investment management firms — clearly, a Rothschild front — and a major player in the recent pandemic bailout scam.

They always tell us ahead of time what the next false flag will be — and yet when it does come, the public will be taken completely off guard somehow.

This free internet is a huge obstacle to their plans for world domination — and a major false flag event that will bring the internet crashing down will be the excuse to put a total clampdown on our online activities.

CIA Involvement in the Creation of the Russia Hack and Seth Rich Cover-up is now the focus of Group requesting the truth behind Trump-Russia collusion sham.

In June 2016, Ellen Nakashima, a Deep State favorite from the Washington Post, released a report that the Democrat National Committee (DNC) had been hacked by Russia. The firm that validated this was Crowdstrike and its President Shawn Henry confirmed the claims. In December 2016, Ms. Nakashima followed up her reporting with the outlandish claim that the CIA had determined that Russia hacked the DNC because Russia wanted Trump to win the election. Nakashima also reported that the the Intel Community had determined that Russia also sent the emails to WikiLeaks. This position was reinforced by the Mueller gang in their efforts to have President Trump removed from office.

WikiLeaks did release DNC emails related to John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Manager, in the months before the 2016 Presidential election which showed massive corruption combined with an elitist attitude from members of the Hillary Clinton team – all willing to do whatever it took to win the election.

The Trump – Russia collusion narrative never really passed the smell test to us. It just sounded fraudulent from the start and even preposterous Then, after years of being hidden by corrupt lying Representative Adam Schiff in Congress, a number of testimonies related to the Russia collusion sham were unveiled after Schiff received pressure from Richard Grenell, the Acting Director of National Intelligence (ADNI) to release the transcripts. One transcript was from Crowdstrike’s Shawn Henry who stated under oath that Crowdstrike had no evidence that Russia even “exfiltrated” the emails from the DNC. The whole ‘Russia stole the DNC emails and sent them to WikiLeaks’ story was a fraud.

Many people suspected that in 2016 a young man working for the DNC by the name of Seth Rich, copied emails from the DNC and shared them with WikiLeaks. Mr. Rich was murdered in Washington D.C. in July 2016 but his wallet, phone and watch were found on his person when the police arrived at the scene. We reported numerous oddities surrounding his death.

For years the Seth Rich story has been covered up and labeled a conspiracy. However, we reported numerous incidents and activities within the Deep State related to covering up the Seth Rich story. We recently reported that Judicial Watch released documents obtained in a FOIA request. These emails revealed that corrupt cops Peter Strzok and Jonathan Moffa were copied in an email regarding a report from Daily Mail where ex-Brit Craig Murray claimed he traveled to Washington DC and obtained Clinton emails in an exchange in a wooded area near American University.

Attorney Ty Clevenger wrote to Richard Grenell at the DNI and shared the following:

I am reliably informed that the NSA or its partners intercepted at least some of the communications between Mr. Rich and Wikileaks. Before elaborating on that, however, I should first note the extent to which the “deep state” has already tried to cover up information about Mr. Rich. In an October 9, 2018 affidavit submitted in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, FBI section chief David M. Hardy testified that (1) the FBI did not investigate any matters pertaining to Mr. Rich, and (2) the FBI was unable to locate any records about Mr. Rich. Both claims were unequivocally false.

According to Ty, the NSA, knows exactly who sent the records to Wikileaks. So does the FBI.

Today it is now suspected that the CIA had a more prominent role in the fabrication that Russians hacked the DNC and “fingerprints” were identified in the purported hacking. A non-profit group by the name of ‘The Transparency Project” is requesting data from the CIA related to these actions.

A woman was found dead inside a car Friday morning, according to John Elder, Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson.

According to Elder, two police chiefs were flagged down while on patrol. They were told that a woman might be dead inside a car by North Bryant and 17th avenues.

Once they arrived at the scene, the officers found a car in the middle of the road with a woman inside on the back seat. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

They believe the woman to be in her 30s and stated that they see trauma to the body, said Elder.

The woman was the only person in the car.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS asked Elder if the death was connected to recent events going on in the cities. He said it is hard to tell, but the energy is high with tension throughout the city.

More information about the incident is expected to come at a later time.

A black firefighter who invested his life savings into opening up a sports bar in Minneapolis was reduced to tears after looters destroyed his life’s work.

Korboi Balla originally planned to open his bar in March, but those plans had to be put on hold due to the coronavirus crisis. Balla had been gearing up to finally open his bar after Minnesota gave the go-ahead for restaurants to begin reopening on June 1.

But by Friday morning, Balla’s bar was little more than a pile of bricks after protests of the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in Minneapolis police custody on Monday, led to widespread rioting and looting in the city.

“I don’t know what we’re going to do,” Korboi Balla told CBS News on Thursday morning while holding back tears. “It hurts, man. It’s not fair, it’s not right. We’ve been working so hard for this place. It’s not just for me, it’s for my family.”

“As we were standing in front of the restaurant, people were in the back trying to steal the safe!” Balla’s wife, Twyana Balla, wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday. “This just happened an hour ago in broad daylight!”

“I’m hearing people say F*** the business they have insurance WELL WE DON’T AND THIS IS ALL OUT OF POCKET,” Twyana Balla wrote. “Let someone come run in your home and loot for the cause then let’s see you be ok with it!”

State and federal investigators in Minnesota seized almost 1,500 pounds of meth last year — four times the total retrieved five years ago. Some of that meth was bound for major dealers from Green Bay to Fargo, but plenty was left over to wreak havoc here. The number of Minnesotans treated for meth addiction doubled in the past decade, to almost 14,000 last year — more than those treated for addiction to heroin and other opioids combined.

The number of overdose deaths, which peaked during the first meth crisis at 18 in 2006, soared to 140 in 2016, according to the most recent data compiled by the Minnesota Department of Health. At least 80 people have faced federal meth distribution charges over the past two years.

“Minneapolis-St. Paul has become a major market,” said Kent Bailey, a former senior U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent who now leads a federally funded counter-narcotics program in the metro. “You can sit there and keep your head in the freaking sand but the sheer volume of the drugs being seized indicates otherwise.”

Many of those caught supplying Minnesota’s meth have had direct ties to major, internationally known drug cartels in southern Mexico.

“The overarching message was that Minnesota is dealing with two simultaneous drug epidemics: opioids and methamphetamines,” Brooker said.

“Opioids and prescription drugs are an issue — no doubt about it,” Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson said. “But meth is still king here.”

the drug cartels had discovered a more efficient and cost-effective way to crank out a more potent version of the drug. The key ingredients are imported from China to “super labs” in southern Mexico, where the meth can be manufactured to look like crystal shards befitting one of its nicknames: ice.
