As Democrats seek Attorney General Bill Barr’s removal following an about-face on Trump ally Roger Stone’s sentencing recommendation, one expert tells Sputnik the pushback may have more to do with the pending release of the Justice Department’s so-called “anti-Mueller report” than anything else.

Daniel Lazare, a journalist and author of “The Frozen Republic,” “The Velvet Coup” and “America's Undeclared War,” joined Radio Sputnik’s Loud and Clear on Wednesday to provide his thoughts on why the Democrats’ reaction to the DoJ’s Stone sentencing recommendation memo is about more than just the prison time awaiting a self-proclaimed “dirty trickster.”

Lazare told hosts Brian Becker and John Kiriakou that he believes Barr is “at odds with the ranks beneath him,” because “the bulk of the DoJ bureaucracy” is still in a “pro-Mueller,” Russiagate mindset.

Navy announces end of blue camouflage uniform

The Navy is mothballing the unpopular digital-blue camouflage uniform sailors must wear while working ashore. The blue uniform, known as Type I, was phased in July 2010 as the Navy’s only authorized work uniform. But the clothing was widely panned by sailors as uncomfortable and heavy, and found to be unsafe near fire. Complaints appear to have been a driving force behind the switch. Sailors around the world brought up the topic with top Navy officials, including the chief naval officer, Secretary of Navy Ray Mabus said in a statement. “They want uniforms that are comfortable, lightweight, breathable ... and they want fewer of them,” he said. “We have heard the feedback and we are acting on it.”

This is the Navy’s first step in a process of consolidating the service’s uniform requirements. Type III uniforms will be issued to new recruits beginning Oct. 1, 2017, the Navy said. By Oct. 1, 2019, the Navy plans to eliminate the blue camo pattern from the seabag. During that three-year period, sailors can wear either uniform when ashore or at port, the Navy said.

For the time being, black boots will remain the standard footwear worn with the green uniform in the U.S. and its territories, the Navy said. Expeditionary forces in the U.S. or any forward-deployed forces, however, may wear the desert tan or “coyote brown” boots with the green uniform at the discretion of unit commanding officers.

The Navy is continuing its wear test of an improved flame-resistant uniform for shipboard wear, the statement said. There is now a preliminary design for a “more professional looking two-piece utility shipboard uniform that can be worn both at sea and operational support jobs ashore,” the Navy said. Wear tests for the two-piece prototype are slated for 2017

''WASHINGTON — Daytona International Speedway is going to be a little more crowded than usual for the annual Daytona 500 on Sunday.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a flight restriction for Sunday indicating that President Donald Trump is expected to attend the NASCAR race. The U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for presidential security, also tweeted to fans that drones are prohibited within 30 miles of the race — a restriction put in place for presidential visits.

Trump is scheduled to spend part of the Presidents Day weekend at his private club in Palm Beach, Florida. The White House didn’t confirm his attendance at the race.

Trump last year praised retired driver Mario Andretti, reminiscing about a ride Andretti gave him in a race car for his reality show “The Apprentice.”

“I said, ‘Mario, get me out of here. I want to get out of this car,’” Trump recalled. “We went so fast. We literally — we covered four blocks in like a second.”

The U.S. Embassy in Bucharest has moved to its new headquarters located on a 4.5-hectare site north of Bucharest, close to the Baneasa mall and will open its gates on September 14, according to the institution. The current U.S. Embassy at 7-9 Tudor Arghezi downtown Bucharest, which has hosted the US Embassy since 1944, will close at 17:00 hours on September 7.

The new building was designed and constructed by a U.S. company, American International Contractors. Several Romanian contractors and construction firms helped to build the new embassy and up to 500 Romanians worked on the new headquarters. There were 1,500 Romanian specialists and workers overall, bringing USD 60 million to the Romanian economy, according to the institution.

The embassy will feature paintings, photography and sculpture by Romanian and American artists. The atrium features a mural called “Drafts and Open Windows,” a project of the Art in Embassies program that is a collaboration between U.S. artist Maggie Michael and Romanian artists.

Gabriel ‘Puiu’ Popoviciu is one of the most influential players on the Romanian real estate market, with business interests spanning numerous sectors. His business connections and important political connections are largely unknown, glimpses into his extensive network only emerging in occasional press reports and, most recently, investigation reports.

On Thursday the Bucharest Court of Appeal sentenced real estate mogul Gabriel ‘Puiu’ Popoviciu to nine years in jail for complicity to abuse of office and bribery. Popoviciu was prosecuted in 2012 by the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) in a case involving the illegal purchase of a state-owned plot of land that at present hosts the headquarters of many major companies.

The 224-hectare plot was owned by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) and as such could not be sold. However, following a series of agreements with Ioan Niculae Alecu, USAMV provost at the time, Popoviciu purchased the land at a price that way way under the market value. Specifically, according to the DNA prosecutors, the land was bought via SC Baneasa Investments SA, a company owned by Popoviciu, at the price of USD 1 per sq. meter, while the market price was around EUR 150 per sq. meter. Alongside Popoviciu, several officials, including former Bucharest Prefect Mihai Ion Luican, and Cornel Serban, the former head of DGIPI, the intelligence service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were also sentenced to one year and two years and six months in prison, respectively. Popoviciu was sent to court in 2012 following a denounce by George Becali.

Puiu Popoviciu is arguably one of the most controversial and well-connected figures on the Romanian real estate market. He started building his business empire immediately after the 1989 Revolution, following a stint in the US. He opened under franchise ownership restaurant chains Pizza Hut (1994), Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in 1997. In 2010 he opened the first IKEA store in Romania also under franchise agreements.

Moreover, together with his business partner Radu Dimofte, he is behind one of the major real estate projects in Bucharest, which includes Baneasa Mall and other office and residential buildings located north of the city. The project is valued at around EUR 2 billion.

Popoviciu is a key player on the hospitality sector, and ranks among the most important hotel owners in the capital. He controls the Howard Johnson Grand Plaza, Ramada Plaza and Ramada Parc hotels. He is also behind restaurant Casa Doina as well as companies Alltrom and Comaliment.

Convicted Romanian investor sues Romania at Washington court (Aug 28, 2018)

Two firms registered in Cyprus linked with Romanian investor Gabriel Popoviciu, the owner of the Baneasa Shopping City, have filed a complaint against Romania at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in Washington, local Profit.ro reported.

The two firms accuse Romania of breaching the bilateral treaty for protecting investments signed with Cyprus in 1991. The president, prime minister, justice minister and finance minister are among the culprits.

The two firms are represented by two British lawyers and the London office of the U.S. law firm Shearman & Sterling, one of the biggest in the world. According to sources familiar with this case, the complaint targets the distraint imposed by the Romanian prosecutors on some assets the two firms own in Romania.

Gabriel Popoviciu was sentenced to 7 years in jail last year, in a corruption case related to the way in which he acquired the 224-hectare land plot where he developed the Baneasa real estate project. He got the land through an association contract with the Agronomy University in Bucharest.

Popoviciu is currently in London. One of his lawyers is former FBI director Louis Freeh, who recently spoke with Forbes magazine about five measures to reestablish rule of law in Romania.

Romanian court rules that the land under Bucharest’s biggest retail area and U.S. Embassy returns to the state (Dec 28, 2018)

The Bucharest Court of Appeal has ruled that 224 hectares of land in Bucharest’s Baneasa area, where some of Bucharest’s biggest retail projects and the U.S. Embassy are located, must return to the state. The decision is not final and can be challenged, according to Digi24.ro.

The land targeted by this sentence currently belongs to Romanian investor Gabriel Popoviciu, who was convicted to seven years in jail, in August 2017, for having illegally obtained it from the Bucharest Agronomy University in the early 2000s. The High Court of Cassation and Justice ruled at that time that Popoviciu must return the land to the state.

According to the anticorruption prosecutors, the Agronomy University gave the land to Baneasa Investments, a company jointly owned by Gabriel Popoviciu and the University, at a value of USD 1 per sqm while the real value was some EUR 150 per sqm.

Baneasa Investments used the land to develop one of the biggest real estate projects in Bucharest, including office buildings that host the headquarters of several multinationals, the Baneasa mall and the first IKEA store in Romania. The U.S. Embassy also built its new headquarters on a land plot provided by Popoviciu.

Gabriel Popoviciu, who fled to England just before the court ruled in his case, has managed to dodge incarceration and hired international law firms and consultants, including a former FBI director, to lobby for him and denounce alleged abuses by Romanian anticorruption authorities. A letter sent by former New York mayor and Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani to Romanian president Klaus Iohannis earlier this year, proved to be a result of this lobby.

Two firms registered in Cyprus and believed to be controlled by Popoviciu also filed a complaint against the Romanian state at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in Washington. They accused Romania of breaching the bilateral treaty for protecting investments signed with Cyprus and asked for compensations of “at least USD 200 million”, according to media reports

On paper Popoviciu seems like the perfect businessman, dealing in everything from computer parts to pizza to real estate, but in reality, like may of Romania’s “Cardboard Billionaires” his main assets are his connections, especially the political ones. Popoviciu has long maintained very friendly relations with decision-makers, both at the central but especially at the local level. He was very close to several politicians, including Traian Băsescu, the charismatic mayor of Bucharest turned two-term president of Romania. Indeed, it was Băsescu who signed off on the transfer of some of the best real estate in Bucharest for less that 1$ per square meter from a state institution to one of Popoviciu’s many companies. At the time, experts estimated the damage this deal caused to the Romanian state at over €1 billion.

Băsescu’s successor to Bucharest city hall was on equally friendly terms with Puiu Popoviciu. Adriean Videanu — businessman, politician and Mayor of Romania’s capital signed off on further development plans on Popoviciu’s newly acquired real estate. Once mayor Videanu had given the green light, the real estate, now connected to the city’s utilities (power, water and sewage grids) blossomed almost overnight into a new luxury development where, who other than then President Băsescu’s youngest daughter MEP Elena Băsescu was one of the first to move in. The US embassy, looking for land to build a more secure facility, was a close second. Faced with such prestigious clients, Popoviciu was more than happy to provide the land at a considerable markup.

But much like one errant billionaire — Sebastian Ghita — Puiu was nowhere to be found after the judge’s gavel fell. Turns out, the businessmen fled the country in June and the Romanian authorities have issued a European Arrest Warrant to his name. Some have speculated that he is in the United States, where his long-time mistress, Dorothy Constantin, has just given birth to the couple’s baby girl.

It’s hit Ukraine. It’s hit China. The blowback has hit the United States presidential election cycle.

And now, according to Rudy Giuliani, it’s hit Romania.

In a wide-ranging interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday night, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer said Americans should watch the Eastern European country as the next potential front in the saga of Hunter Biden.

“I want you to keep you eye not just on China. I want you to keep your eye on Romania. Just watch Romania,” Giuliani said.

“You won’t read it in The New York Times or The Washington Post,” Giuliani said after Hannity attempted to change the subject.

“But just watch Romania.”

Giuliani is wrong here: In fact, you could actually read about it in The New York Times.

Back in May, the paper broke the story in an article titled, “Trump’s Demands for Investigations of Opponents Draw Intensifying Criticism.”

“In addition to his work in Ukraine for the energy company Burisma, Hunter Biden advised a Romanian businessman with ties to the United States, Gabriel Popoviciu, whose real estate dealings had come under investigation, according to people familiar with the arrangement, which has not been previously reported,” The Times reported.

“The investigation, which came as the United States and its allies were pushing Romania to clamp down on corruption, led to Mr. Popoviciu’s conviction and a prison sentence.”

According to Fox News, Popoviciu — who is said to have opened the first Pizza Hut in Romania — was sentenced to seven years behind bars for corruption.

The U.K. Daily Mail reported there may have been deeper ties between Hunter Biden and Popoviciu than just an advisory role.

Yes, even deeper than any possible involvement in Pizza Hut. (To be fair, there’s no evidence the former vice president’s son got involved in that — and why would he, given how wretched their pizza is?)

In late September, a local Romanian outlet reported that “Hunter Biden was involved in real estate business in Bucharest and allegedly tried to lobby in favor of” the real estate magnate, according to the Daily Mail.

G4Media.ro reported on the alleged links shortly after the Ukraine whistleblower scandal broke.

Beyond the question of whether or not there’s anything untoward here, this again raises the question of why Hunter Biden — not necessarily the most reliable of individuals unless you needed, for some reason, to find someone who would fail a drug test — kept on getting plum roles in international business.

If Romania becomes yet another pie an otherwise unqualified individual had his fingers in, this starts to raise even more serious question about his father’s conflicts of interest.

No, nearest we can tell, Joe Biden didn’t get any Romanian prosecutors fired.

(Or, at the very least, there exists no videos of him at a Council on Foreign Relations event bragging about how, “son of a b—-,” he managed to do it.)

That said, if Romania becomes yet another country where the Neil Bush of the 2020 election cycle managed to make money in a sketchy-sounding way, this could change the calculus of the 2020 election cycle somewhat.

Thus far, Biden’s primary opponents have held their fire on the Hunter issue — not, one suspects, out of an excess of benevolence toward the former vice president but due to the fear that any fruit of the Trumpian tree will be poisonous when eaten.

If the list of countries grows any longer or the scandal gets any deeper, however, it’s not a question of if but when someone decides to take a bite.

In 2016, Romanian real estate tycoon Gabriel “Puiu” Popoviciu, who was accused of orchestrating a corrupt land deal, hired Hunter Biden to “advise” him as he aimed to dodge federal prosecution. At the same time, Hunter’s father Joe Biden was claiming to be pushing Romania to clean up political corruption.

NBC News reported Hunter Biden may have simply been used as a prop while Popoviciu was evading prosecution. This is the third questionable relationship between a foreign government, the Obama administration, and the former vice president’s son.

First it was Hunter Biden sitting on the board of a Ukrainian oil company, which he was not qualified to sit on, making some $80,000 per month. Meanwhile, Joe Biden claimed to be fighting corruption in Ukraine by firing the prosecutor who was prosecuting the company on whose board Hunter Biden sat.

Hunter Biden’s potentially very lucrative investments in China have also been scrutinized recently. When given the opportunity to vindicate himself during an exclusive ABC interview this month, Hunter Biden vowed to divest himself from his monetary investments in China and claimed he would not serve on the board of any other foreign entity, like he did in Ukraine, because that appears corrupt.

“Well, this is what becomes a distraction. Because I have to sit here and answer these questions. And so that’s why I’ve committed that I won’t serve on any boards or I won’t work directly for any foreign entities when my dad becomes president,” Hunter Biden said.

Now, the younger Biden has been accused of working and profiting in a third country — Romania — where his father was working to end corruption.

While it is likely Joe Biden will call his poor judgement and alleged corruption a hoax created by the Trump administration, his fellow 2020 candidates frontrunners, namely Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, may try to criticize him as they push what they call anti-corruption plans.

After the allegations against the Biden family garnered national attention, Joe Biden’s polling numbers slipped from approximately 37 percent to his current stature at 27.2 percent. Warren is trailing behind Biden by approximately 5 points, coming in at 21.8 percent.

"My vehicle would cross outside the wire and into the boisterous Afghan city, entering a world infinitely more interesting and ordinary and dangerous than our zone behind the blast walls at ISAF headquarters."

Roadside IEDs were a consistent danger out on the road "outside the wire," he wrote, according to the report.

"I fell back on my training from Camp McCrady, eyes out for the known signs that we were about to get blown up," he wrote, per the Hill. "A suddenly empty neighborhood. A nervous-looking lone driver of a vehicle with a heavy trunk load. An obviously male hand coming out from underneath a woman's blue burqa."

Buttigieg was awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal for service in a combat zone, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon, according to the report.

Buttigieg served his Afghanistan deployment for half of 2014 during his team as mayor of South Bend, Indiana, but his campaign did not clarify to The Hill whether he was called into the Navy reserves or had volunteered for duty.

"Because I was a specialist in counterterrorism, Afghanistan represented the best place in the world to practice my craft," Buttigieg wrote, per The Hill. "It was also a country, troubled but hauntingly beautiful that I had gotten to know while a civilian adviser at McKinsey. If my turn was coming up to get mobilized, I wanted it to be there."

“We hate to break the news to Twitter, but no, Pete was not in the CIA,” Buttigieg’s national press secretary Chris Meagher derisively told The Daily Beast, which directly referenced both Grayzone reports. “As for the Somaliland trip, it was not related to his work anywhere.”

The Daily Beast article appeared in response not only to factual reporting by The Grayzone, but to a wave of allegations spread online through hashtags like #CIAPete which accused Buttigieg of being a CIA asset.

Following the fiasco in Iowa, in which voting results were blocked thanks to faulty technology produced by a dark money outfit linked to Buttigieg – and Mayor Pete inexplicably took to himself the victor – the hashtag trended nationally.

Neither article published by The Grayzone accused Buttigieg of working for the CIA. However, according to military documents that have gone mostly under the media’s radar, it does appear that the former mayor worked alongside the CIA while serving as a high-ranking Naval intelligence officer during his short stint in Afghanistan.

Moreover, the unit Buttigieg supervised was a subset of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the US agency responsible for the disastrous war on drugs that has spawned humanitarian catastrophes throughout Latin America and much of the world.

‘We were working with everybody across the civilian spectrum in the intelligence community’

Early on in his military career, Pete Buttigieg worked as an intelligence analyst at US European Command, where he “conduct[ed] research and analysis of information to create accurate, timely intelligence products in support of USEUCOM theater operations,” according to mostly redacted military records released under the Freedom of Information Act.

Under a section labelled “command employment and command achievements,” Buttigieg’s papers indicate that intelligence was provided to “USEUCOM, NATO, Deployed Units and other commands, including operations in Africa and the former Yugoslavia.”

Buttigieg would eventually return to EUCOM, where he was promoted to team leader, supervising one officer and four intelligence analysts.

Two years into Buttigieg’s time as mayor, in 2014, he was called for duty again, this time to serve with the US Navy in Afghanistan.

Contrary to Buttigieg’s portrayal of himself as a gun-toting, freedom-fighting soldier, he enjoyed an immediate high rank during deployment. Just into his first term as mayor, Buttigieg “made sure my chain of command knew that I would rather go sooner than later, and would rather go to Afghanistan than anywhere else,” he wrote in his book.

Buttigieg was apparently shuttled over quickly, and left soon after.

He spent his six months in Afghanistan in 2014 with a little-known unit that operated under the watch of the Drug Enforcement Administration. It was the Afghanistan Threat Finance Cell (ATFC), according to his appointment papers. The job description in his discharge papers is blank.

Founded by US Central Command leader-turned-CIA chief General David Patreaus, this unit was credited with the destruction of Kabul Bank, the first private bank founded in Afghanistan after the US invasion. ATFC reportedly exposed the financial institution as a giant “ponzi scheme.”

Mayor Pete would join this now illustrious outfit as an “Officer in Charge.” In a 2016 interview with the Harvard Crimson, Buttigieg described himself as an ATFC Liaison Officer to the Combined Joint Interagency Task Force.

ATFC’s primary task was to bust up the Taliban drug trade with the help of law enforcement and intelligence agencies. In Buttigieg’s papers, the ATFC is said to “identify and disrupt Taliban, Al-Qaeda and other insurgent financial/material support networks in Afghanistan by bringing to bear on these groups the full spectrum of interagency and government tools and authorities.”

While official records linking the ATFC to the CIA do not appear widely in available government documents, their collaboration is an open secret. One early report by the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, an advocacy organization for the US intelligence community, noted “the cell has about two-dozen members drawn from the Drug Enforcement Administration, US Central Command, the Treasury Department and the CIA. The FBI is expected to join soon.”

Global news wire Agency France-Presse characterized ATFC as “a multi-agency organization currently comprising about 30 specialists on loan from the Department of Drug Enforcement, Department of the Treasury, Department of Justice, Department of Defense’s CENTCOM, the CIA and the FBI.”

At the ATFC, Buttigieg “oversaw the analysis and operations conducted from ATFC Kabul HQ.” He also “coordinated intelligence sharing and targeting deconfliction with multiple organizations and represented ATFC at high level briefings.”

In a 2019 interview with Newsweek, Buttigieg said “we were working with everybody across the civilian spectrum in the intelligence community.” Newsweek listed those agencies as the CIA, the NSA, and Defense Intelligence Agency.

The program was not exactly a smashing success, however. During the year of Buttigieg’s deployment in Afghanistan, the United Nations found that opium production skyrocketed and that “Afghanistan produces some 90 percent of the world’s illicit opiates.”

While Mayor Pete Buttigieg waxes humble about his Midwestern upbringing and touts his outsider story, his work alongside the CIA and DEA halfway around the world was a highly unusual task that helped set the stage for his rise to national prominence.

Evergreen trees produce pine cones.

Pine cones are symbolic for the pineal gland.

What would you call the farmer who raises livestock to harvest the pineal glands? Evergreen, of course. Look at the history of Clinton Global Initiative in Africa, with Ruanda and other war zones, as well as Haiti. Kidnapping kids in Virginia and Maryland works fine to supply the needed livestock, but it's a lot easier when the parents are dead, or at least, the children are already separated from them and in distress, ready to accept anyone who will help them.

Shipping the glands is no problem at all. Lots of ways to do it.

The real problem is storage (frozen) and processing into the desired biochemicals. There was a copper mine up in Yukon Canada that was shipping adrenochrome to the USA. Interesting that Copper oxidizes to a green color.

In any case, if you have a place to store and process adrenochrome then that would be a good place to store and process pineal glands too. High value frozen biological products.

I think the third definition could be what Q meant. Renegade because Hussein works against USA. Evergreen because Clinton had the political system rigged to ensure her staying in power. Auto-renewal, no real election wins needed.

Call for diggs

With all this talk about about evergreen and renegade lately, I did a quick search on Wikileaks for the phrases. Why? Because whenever Q tells us "you have more then you know" I think he's telling us to keep digging in the places where we've already been.

As of 10 minutes ago, there are:

- 5,592 occurrences of renegade in all the files that Wikileaks has posted; and

- 1,966 occurrences of "evergreen" in all the files Wikileaks has posted. Some of these are PEDO-sta emails in which HRC and others refer to HRC as "evergreen."

I'm thinking there's a chance we will find some interesting things if we search all

The Ant People of the Hopi

The Hopi Indians have lived on the high desert of northern Arizona for thousands of years. This barren but beautiful landscape was the place where Hopi gods directed them to build a number villages made up of pueblos—what we today would call stone apartment complexes. Here the Hopi managed to flourish by simply growing corn, beans, and squash with very little rainfall and almost no irrigation.

One of the most intriguing Hopi legends involves the Ant People, who were crucial to the survival of the Hopi—not just once but twice. The so-called “First World” (or world-age) was apparently destroyed by fire—possibly some sort of volcanism, asteroid strike, or coronal mass ejection from the sun. The Second World was destroyed by ice—Ice Age glaciers or a pole shift. During these two global cataclysms, the virtuous members of the Hopi tribe were guided by an odd-shaped cloud during the day and a moving star at night that led them to the sky god named Sotuknang, who finally took them to the Ant People—in Hopi, Anu Sinom . The Ant People then escorted the Hopi into subterranean caves where they found refuge and sustenance.  

In this legend the Ant People are portrayed as generous and industrious, giving the Hopi food when supplies ran short and teaching them the merits of food storage. In fact, another legend says that the reason why the ants have such thin waists today is because they once deprived themselves of provisions in order to feed the Hopi.

The constellation Orion also has a thin waist. When Orion dominates the winter skies, the ants are deep in their small underground hills. These structures are similar in form to the Hopi kivas, which are subterranean communal prayer chambers. Coincidentally the Sanskrit word  ki means “ant hill” and va means “dwelling.” Each February inside their kivas the Hopi perform the Bean Sprouting Ceremony, or Bean Dance, called Powamu. During this time the fires are continuously kept ablaze, turning these structures into superb hot houses. The ritual commemorates a time when the Anu Sinom taught the Hopi how to sprout beans inside caverns in order to survive.

It is interesting to note that the Babylonian sky god was named Anu. The Hopi word for “ant” is also anu, and the Hopi root word naki means “friends.” Thus, the Hopi Anu-naki, or “ant friends,” may have been the same as the Sumerian Annunaki—the beings who once came to Earth from the heavens.  

The Ant People may have also lived in ancient Egypt. Akhenaten, the 18th Dynasty pharaoh who ruled from 1351–1334 BC, is shown in some depictions with an elongated skull like the shape of an ant’s head. His almond-shaped eyes and neck are like the ant’s, and either the serpent or the vulture on his uraeus resembles the ant’s mandibles. He also has spindly arms and legs like those of the ant, and his upper body resembles the ant’s thorax while his lower body mirrors the ant’s abdomen. Akhenaten’s body type can be specifically compared to the Pharaoh Ant ( Momomorium pharaonis ), which originated in West Africa. It also has an elongated head, a yellow to reddish brown body, and a darker abdomen with a stinger.

Perhaps it is more than a coincidence that the Egyptian word sahu means “stars of Orion,” whereas the Hopi word sohu means “star,” the most important of which are those in the constellation Orion. "House Democrats hope to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment which would make discrimination against women illegal. The House will vote Thursday on a resolution they say would ratify the ERA.

Congress passed the ERA in 1972. It set a 10-year deadline for the amendment to be ratified by three-fourths of the states. Democrats argue the deadline was a date arbitrarily picked by Congress and states can’t rescind once they ratify.

But it’s unlikely that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will allow that. The Justice Department is opposed and some Republicans say the ERA is really about abortion.

“If ratified, the ERA would be used by pro-abortion groups to undo pro-life legislation,” said Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ).
