David Aring, 48, was arrested Tuesday after a search of his Southwood apartment. According to arrest papers, FDLE agents discovered a USB hidden in his sock drawer with multiple images of children engaged in sex acts. Some of the pictures featured children as young as 3 years old.

Trump Supporters Attacked After Van Plows Through GOP Voter Registration Tent In Florida

Approximately six Trump supporters were attacked in the parking lot of a Jacksonville, Florida Walmart Saturday afternoon at around 3:50 p.m. when a man in his 20s plowed through a voter registration tent, according to the local Sheriff's Office.

It happened so quickly," said volunteer Nina Williams, one of five women who were working the tent. "I just barely got out of the way."

After driving through the tent, the man stopped, took a video, and flipped off the Republicans before driving off.

US military confirms 2 troops killed & 6 injured in Afghanistan by ‘individual in Afghan uniform’

At least two US service members were killed and six others injured after an individual in “Afghan uniform” armed with a machine gun opened fire on a joint patrol in Afghanistan, the US military has confirmed.

The incident took place in Nangarhar province earlier on Saturday as a combined US and Afghan force was returning from a "key-leader engagement," a spokesman for US forces in Afghanistan said in a late-night statement.

The wounded service members are receiving medical treatment at a US facility, Colonel Sonny Leggett added, sharing no details of their condition.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but given the uniform, there’s a possibility it was an insider "green-on-blue" attack. In addition, both the Taliban and affiliates of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorists are active in Eastern Nangarhar province.

NEW YORK—A New York City police officer was wounded by gunfire in the Bronx on Saturday night in what Commissioner Dermot Shea called “an assassination attempt.”

Two uniformed officers were sitting in a locked police van with emergency lights activated when a man approached them and engaged them in conversation just before 8:30 p.m., Shea said. Police believe the man asked the officers for directions before pulling out a gun “without provocation,” the commissioner said. The man fired multiple shots, striking the officer behind the wheel in the chin and neck.

Shea said the bullets narrowly missed the officer’s carotid artery.

“He is lucky to be alive,” Shea said. “He is expected to make a full recovery and it is a miracle.”

Iowa Democratic Party reviewing reported inconsistencies in 95 precincts

The Iowa Democratic party on Saturday announced they are reviewing reported inconsistencies in 95 precincts from Monday's caucuses. Any corrections will be made by 12 p.m. CT Monday, the party announced.

"The IDP has initiated the process of review of the requested precincts, and any corrections will be released before Monday at 12 p.m. CST in a single update – reported prior to the allocation of national delegates," the IDP said Saturday in a statement. The IDP also noted that the 95 precincts comprise a total of 5% of the total number of precincts in Iowa.

The stated timing ensures the Iowa results will be officially announced prior to the New Hampshire Democratic primary, which will take place February 11.

Democratic candidates had until 12 p.m. CT Saturday to submit evidence of, "inconsistencies between reported results and official record of result from each precinct on caucus night," the IDP said. The party received reports from the campaigns of Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren.

Following a chaotic delay, due in part to a new app used to report the results of the Iowa caucuses, results from 100% of precincts finally came in late Thursday, three days after the caucuses. No national delegates have been awarded yet, however, pending review of the results.

With 100% of the precincts reporting, Sanders led in the "popular vote," while Buttigieg had a slight edge in state delegate equivalents.

BANGKOK — "A soldier suspected of killing at least 26 people during a shooting rampage in northeastern Thailand was shot and killed Sunday, Thai officials said. The alleged gunman, Sgt. Jakrapanth Thomma, shot and killed a soldier and a woman at a military barracks in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima before turning his attention to a nearby mall, said police spokesman Kissana Phathanacharoen.

Investigators believe a dispute over a land deal payment may have prompted the shooting, Phathanacharoen added.

Thomma escaped in a military Humvee and opened fire at a number of different locations throughout the city, police said. He then holed up in a shopping mall for more than 10 hours after the attack began, police in Thailand told NBC News.

Of those killed, 16 died on the spot, Thailand's Ministry of Health announced. Another 57 were injured, with four undergoing emergency surgery and another six placed in intensive care. At least 25 victims have been released from the hospital while 32 remain. Officials revised the death toll to 26 after previously stating that 20 people had been killed."

Three witnesses are ready to "name names" in an investigation into Hunter Biden and alleged Ukraine corruption, Rudy Giuliani claimed Saturday night.

President Trump's personal lawyer, who is a former mayor of New York City, made the disclosure during a wild interview on Fox News' "Watters' World."

Giuliani told host Jesse Watters that his goal was to make sure Trump emerges as "totally vindicated" following the Democrats' failed impeachment proceedings on Capitol Hill, which ended last week with the president acquitted on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

"I want to prove what happened," Giuliani said, "because I believe if we prove what happened, he will be totally vindicated."

Watters asked Giuliani if he had any documentation regarding Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine before adding that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., will be investigating that.

"Lindsey, get started," Giuliani said, laughing, before declaring he had "what I used to call when I was U.S. attorney, the smoking gun."

Watters' summarized the "smoking gun" as "a 'roundabout' - an international wire to avoid detection disguised as a loan."

Giuliani voiced his frustration that Biden's father - former Vice President Joe Biden, who's now running for president - wasn't investigated back when he bragged about getting Ukraine prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired.

"Look, the government has been so lax in investigating, it's pathetic," Giuliani said. "I mean ... when I was a U.S. attorney ... the day Joe Biden made that boastful announcement ... the investigation would have begun the next day for bribery."

Saw a CBS News story on Pureto Rico shipping coal ash to Florida and the impact from President Trump ruling back regulations. Research shows the CBS narrative is false - FAKE.

From the PBS story, the AES coal plant in Puerto Rico began operation in 2002. Coal ash was approved for use in aggregate for road construction and concrete from 2004 to 2012. Story quotes "A 2014 Environmental Protection Agency ruling regulated coal ash as non-hazardous solid waste." The story cites university studies linking coal ash to asthma and lung cancer. The story fails to mention the study concerned dust. AES was continuing to solidify the ash (agremax) for proper landfill disposal.

The media/left cite rule back of regulations. Coal ash regulations have not been ruled back to prior standards. In fact some details are More stringent. As the Earth Justice article states"

"Beginning in 2018, coal-fired electric utilities were compelled to publicly report groundwater monitoring data for the first time ever, following transparency requirements imposed by federal coal ash regulations, known formally as the Coal Combustion Residuals Rule." The article discusses toxic leachiing of metals from coal ash stockpiles and older unlined containment dumps. In the case of AES, coal ash was being converted to agremax, reducing coal ash dust on site and potential leaching. Since 2018, increased ground water monitoring is required by the EPA.

The EPA has a specific page on coal ash regulations and disposal. In addition states have specific rules on coal ash retainmaint and water quality standards specific to the area. The federal water quality and pollution discharge regulations (such as RCRA and NPDES permitting) have applied and still apply for any conatinment or landfill site. The EPA 2015 coal ash regulation provides disposal requirements basically amends the exsting standards for the potential pollutant source, coal ash leeching and dust. In March 2018, the coal ash rules were amended and made made more specfic on water quality standards not addressed in the 2015 regulations. It also allows states to establish their own permit requirement. (State permitting often mirror the federal standard and often provide specific stricter standards.)

Now to the CBS video that instigated the research.

Puerto Rico (a US Territory) is shipping their power plant coal ash to Florida for proper landfill disposal. Puerto Rico passed a law to prohibit disposal facilities. The story notes the 2015 regulations for proper disposal under Obama EPA. They cite Kingston coal ash dam failure, that was 2008 and storage as a liquid slurry in a pond. Totally different circumstances from a plant's dry ash storage then shipment for landfill. AES was converting the ash to agremax for road work until Puerto Rico legislation Act 40-2017 banned utilizing coal ash as a resource. CBS then impliies under President Trump's Clean Coal Initiative, the coal ash arriving into Florida is from a foreign source. The Initiative is to utilize coal that has less contaminants and thus less potential metals contaminants in the coal ash and does not change the existing regulations or standards for coal ash disposal.

It wasn’t 2012 Presidential loser Mitt Romney’s faith that caused him to vote to impeach President Trump, whom he once begged to rescue him from political oblivion. While Romney, who undoubtedly entertained visions of succeeding a President Trump after his vote helped remove from office, says it was his faith that caused him to believe Trump really did abuse his power to pressure the Ukrainians to dig up dirt on the Bidens, more likely it was because that Romney wanted to put an end to an administration that might expose his link to the Bidens and Burisma, Romney will go down in the history as the only senator to vote to impeach a member of his own party, but the question remains why he retained such animus against the man who forgave Romney his 2016 rant warning, as Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, and that seditious bunch later would, that Donald J. Trump was an unhinged danger. Trump supported Romney’s Utah Senate run. Et tu, Mitt?

Why, as CNN put it, has Mitt Romney "been a lone Republican voice expressing concern about President Donald Trump's July phone call with Volodymyr Zelensky in which Trump asked Ukraine's President to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his family"? Little notice has been paid to the fact that Joseph Cofer Black, a former CIA operative, served as Romney’s special adviser in his 2012 campaign for President. As Breitbart News reported at the time: In October 2011, Romney announced that Black, who had served in the CIA since 1974, had been selected as a special adviser. “I am deeply honored to have the counsel of this extraordinary group of diplomats, experts, and statesmen,” Romney said at the time. “Their remarkable experience, wisdom, and depth of knowledge will be critical to ensuring that the 21st century is another American Century.” Black trained for covert operations and eventually became the director of the National Counterterrorism Center from 1999 until 2002. After the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks perpetrated by al-Qaeda, Black was appointed ambassador at large and coordinator for counterterrorism in December 2002 by President George W. Bush. John Brennan succeeded Black in his job as director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

Cofer Black would come to know Hunter Biden as well. Black would wind up serving on the board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma at the same time that Hunter, who had no special knowledge of Ukraine or the energy business, was being paid ungodly sums to curry influence with the Obama-Biden administration. Was Black also hired because he was an adviser to a former governor and future senator with good connections in the Washington swamp? As The Federalist reported last September: As Democrats and the media remain fanatically obsessed with assembling some form of a “quid pro quo” from the infamous Trump-Zelensky phone call, new details have emerged regarding Burisma, the company for which Hunter Biden worked and the company that Ukraine’s top prosecutor had been investigating before Vice President Joe Biden had the prosecutor fired via a months-long pressure campaign. According to web archives, top Mitt Romney adviser Joseph Cofer Black, who publicly goes by “Cofer Black,” joined Burisma’s board of directors while Hunter Biden was also serving on the board. According to The New Yorker, Hunter joined Burisma’s board in April of 2014 and remained on it until he declined to renew his position this past May. Meanwhile, according to Burisma’s website, Black was appointed in February of 2017 and continues to serve on its board. The timelines would indicate that Black and Biden worked together at Burisma, and indeed, web archives from late 2017 show Black and Biden listed simultaneously on the board.

There is no doubt that Burisma as was stockpiling people on its board who could provide it with cover from prying investigations, like the son of a vice president and a special adviser to a GOP presidential candidate. The nature of Hunter’s job is known - his father, Vice President Joe Biden, would get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired, taking the heat off Burisma to protect his son. What Black’s role was, or why he was on the board other than providing potential access is unclear. But certainly he could tell us something about the Burisma-Hunter connection.

The coal ash is being shipped from a US territory subject to the same regulations as any other state. Similar to mile long rail trains shipping municipal waste containers to other states for landfill. That waste is mostly generated from major metropolitan areas - big cities. AES was converting the ash to agremax to Recycle it into roadworks (as is done in many states) until banned by the Puerto Rico legislators. The coal ash being shipped still requires permitting to minimize airborne and water contamination. If the Florida port is improperly handling ash, they should be penalized under applicable state and federal regulations, noe of which have changed to suit Puerto Rico coal ash. The landfilling is being performed in accordance with applicable permits and monitoring. From the research conducted, it appears if anything, groundwater monitoring requirements have increased/more stringent under President Trump. The only difference in disposal is AES must ship their ash by ship for disposal at an approved, permitted landfill. Puerto Rico's other option is to shutdown a major electric plant, yet after the hurricane President Trump was blamed for their poorly maintained electrical infrastructure.

None of the issues presented by CBS indicate any fault by the Trump administration. Yet CBS and liberal commenters (uneducated) act as if a foreign nation is bringing in toxic waste and neferiously disposing it in somebody's backyard.

Scalise: I've seen classified information showing 'people ought to go to jail' over Durham investigation

Rep. Steve Scalise said that after seeing classified information, he believes that some people should be in jail after U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russia inquiry concludes. “People ought to go to jail,” the Louisiana Republican said to Sean Hannity after explaining there are still “dirty cops” in Washington undermining the president’s agenda. “I have seen some classified information I can't go into — but, I can say this: Hopefully, Durham names names. I think the attorney general is waiting to see what comes out of that. And then, hopefully, they go after those people and put them in jail.” Scalise assured the public that Durham’s report will exonerate “99%” of FBI rank-in-file employees who are “good people” at an important agency.

Durham was given the task of investigating the origins of the Russia investigation and the surveillance of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign with a wider scope than Inspector General Michael Horowitz had while putting together and eventually releasing his report documenting FISA abuses. FBI Director Christopher Wray said on Friday that “every single” FBI employee who was named in Horowitz’s report will be reviewed and could face disciplinary action. “The failures highlighted in that report are unacceptable — period,” he said. “They don’t reflect who the FBI is as an institution, and they cannot be repeated. The FBI has embraced every last one of the inspector general’s recommendations, but we’re also making a number of improvements above and beyond.”

Report: Hollywood Stars’ Award Acceptance Speeches Written by Obama, Hillary Clinton Alums

Several Hollywood stars are turning to speechwriting agencies run by partisan operatives who previously worked for the likes of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, Vulture detailed in a recent report. In a piece originally aimed at finding out who has written Brad Pitt’s speeches during this awards season, where the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star has scooped awards at the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the BAFTAs, while being placed in prime position to win an Oscar this weekend. Noting that many of Pitt’s speeches this season have been a “little too perfect,” Vulture’s Chris Lee reached out to Pitt’s representatives, who declined to comment. Yet one speechwriting agency that asked to remain anonymous confirmed that Pitt’s representatives had reached out to inquire about their services.

Another actor grabbing attention for his recent speeches is Joker star Joaquin Phoenix, who has delivered several politically charged remarks after receiving the award for Best Actor for his role as murdering nihilist Arthur Fleck. Just last week, he used his time at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) to call out Hollywood’s “systematic racism” because of the ceremony’s lack of black or ethnic minority nominees. One of Hollywood’s most recognized speechwriting agencies is Fenway Strategies, a company founded by former Obama administration officials Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor. As well as ghostwriting speeches for TED Talks and political addresses, Fenway also provides services for people in the entertainment industry seeking to strike the right note in anticipation of receiving their award. Senior Fenway speechwriter Sam Koppelman, who previously worked as Hillary Clinton’s digital strategist, speechwriter to Michael Bloomberg, and co-author of Impeach: The Case Against Donald Trump, explained that writing for actors is great because they know “how to deliver the lines.” “Writing for actors is a speechwriter’s dream come true,” said Koppelman. “Because unlike politicians, who are not professionals at memorizing lines or delivering them in compelling and charismatic ways, actors actually know how to deliver the lines.” “Maybe he just decided to do it himself and he’s really good,” he added. “But if you do find out who wrote them, let me know — they’re good at speechwriting.”

Industry insiders insist that Hollywood stars employing speechwriting agencies are nowadays a common practice, according to Lee’s report. “The most common reason [to hire a ghost acceptance speech writer] is knowing the room,” one source told the magazine. “Like, ‘What is the difference between the PGAs, the Globes, and the BAFTAs?’ Knowing the room is key. Laziness is the other reason.”

Facebook Hack: Social Network Confirms 13.4 Million Follower Twitter Account Compromised

When the official Facebook Twitter account tweets that "even Facebook is hackable," you know it's going to be an uncomfortable virtual ride for the social network. Fortunately for Facebook, that ride was over pretty quickly. Unfortunately, not before the Saudi OurMine hacking group was able to post to Facebook's social media accounts on Instagram as well. The temporary account takeovers, which appear to have also impacted the official Messenger Twitter account, lasted for less than 30 minutes. Long enough to cause plenty of embarrassment for Facebook, already in the news this week for a WhatsApp one-click attack risk vulnerability.

How were the Facebook accounts on Twitter compromised? The Twitter account takeover of the official Facebook accounts happened Friday, February 7. The Facebook Twitter account posted a late night tweet to its 13.4 million followers that read: ''Hi, we are OurMine. Well, even Facebook is hackable but at least their security better than Twitter." The compromised account tweet continued to offer "security services" to "improve your accounts security." It appears that it was not Facebook itself, nor Twitter, that had actually been compromised. Instead, as in previous account takeovers by the same group, a third-party marketing platform used to manage social media would appear to be the victim. This was confirmed to me in an email from a Twitter spokesperson. That statement went on to say, "As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised accounts and are working closely with our partners at Facebook to restore them."

Jake Moore, a cybersecurity specialist at ESET, told me that, in the past, OurMine has used leaked credentials from dark web sources but "here it seems they have used password resets to change account passwords." I contacted the marketing platform concerned, but have yet to hear back with any comment. Facebook confirmed the "hack" in a tweet once it had regained control over the compromised account: "Some of our corporate social accounts were briefly hacked but we have secured and restored access," the tweet stated.

Since China has been investing heavily in Africa, perhaps this was meant to get rid of more than simply the unwanted Chinese Protester types with terrible social credit.

Maybe it was engineered primarily to decimate the population of African nations that China wants to ultimately colonize. Nations that are NOT prepared to deal with anything like this....

Optics matter to [them] just like it matters to Q.

Any real culling beyond War and even War, would have to look like a natural happening....

"LUSAKA, Zambia - At a Chinese-run hospital in Zambia, some employees watched as people who recently returned from China showed up with coughs but were not placed in isolation. A doctor tending to those patients has stopped coming to work, and health workers have been ordered not to speak publicly about the new virus that has killed hundreds around the world.

The virus that has spread through much of China has yet to be confirmed in Africa, but global health authorities are increasingly worried about the threat to the continent where an estimated 1 million Chinese now live, as some health workers on the ground warn they are not ready to handle an outbreak."

French police arrest 32 people in Yellow Vest protests

With protests against the French government ongoing on Saturday, 32 demonstrators were arrested in France, police said.

Protesters gathered at the Palais Royal Square despite the police ban. The demonstration, held under intense security measures, ended without any trouble.

Paris Police Department said, besides arrests, 140 people were fined for participating in the demonstration without permission.

Meanwhile, protesters clashed with the police in Bordeaux. Police used tear gas and plastic bombs to disperse demonstrators. Some protesters broke windows of some restaurants and banks.

Saturday marked the 65th week of Yellow Vests protests, which started in reaction to fuel hikes and economic conditions and spiraled into deadly anti-government riots.

Protesters use yellow vests, part of the standard safety kit in French cars, to make members more easily visible.

Anons been keeping up with Rudy's podcasts?

The last 8 mins starting around the 25min mark are pretty good, IMO. He's laying out the case against Biden, and ties it together well with 3 "Biden as point man" assignments (Ukraine, Iraq, and China) that all failed in their US diplomatic missions, and yet were a windfall for the family business dealings. He describes this as a classic RICO case, that could be called "Biden Family Enterprise".

In the last minute or so he warns that

"...it's just going to get bigger and bigger and bigger, and you're going to be surprised how big it gets"

He also mentions that Whitey Bulger "was a fugitive for I think 17 years."

NCSU, which opened its Confucius Institute in 2007, hosted one of the largest Confucius Institutes in the United States. The Institute sponsored classes on campus for students and the public and has also served as the umbrella for four offshoots called “Confucius Classrooms” at two high schools and two other colleges in North Carolina. Its website boasts that over ten years, the Confucius Institute taught more than 30,000 students, saw 636,000 people attend its events, and trained 1,330 Chinese language teachers. Not a bad investment for the Chinese government’s cultural diplomacy.

But NCSU’s relationship with its Confucius Institute also became notorious. In 2009, the Institute pressured the university into disinviting the Dalai Lama. Despite the ensuing opprobrium, NCSU clung to its Confucius Institute.

Since then, NCSU has become strangely secretive. Two years ago, I went searching for the memoranda of understanding that the university signed with the Hanban (the Chinese government agency in charge of Confucius Institutes) and Nanjing Normal University to set up their Confucius Institute. NCSU claimed its signed memoranda were accessible and transparent, but its website linked to a university database open only to those with university email addresses. A professor there agreed to check the database for me, but even he could find nothing at all related to the Confucius Institute.

Then there’s this curiously defensive language on the NCSU Confucius Institute’s website regarding its “Cultural Resource Room:” “As the People’s Republic of China (China) is a large and diverse country, there is no way that the books in this space will highlight all elements of Chinese language and culture.”

That appears to be a defense against the oft-cited (and true) complaint that Confucius Institutes leave out Tibetans, Uyghurs, and other minorities in an effort to showcase only the Han majority.

The website also claims that “None of these books or decorations have any political and controversial intent and thank you for respecting this Cultural Resource Room.”

But China has long selected “facts” to serve its propaganda, and Confucius Institutes are well-known to present politically divisive claims as basic truths. Consider Taiwan, the self-governing republic that China claims belongs to the People’s Republic. Earlier this year, China forced several American airlines to erase Taiwan from their lists of destinations and shade their maps to show the island in the same color as mainland China. Confucius Institute-sponsored conferences have gone so far as to physically rip out conference program pages that mention Taiwan or edit references to Taiwan from a speaker’s biography. Would NCSU consider the convenient elision of all reference to Taiwan as evidence that nothing in the Confucius Institute has a “political intent?”

Still, NCSU has made the right call in parting ways with its Confucius Institute—and it deserves praise. In the process, it is moving more of its Chinese-language instruction in-house to the domain of its faculty. This is where university instruction belongs. Perhaps North Carolina State University should have made this decision years ago, but, to its credit, it has eventually done the right thing.

Now it’s time for more American universities to part ways with their Confucius Institutes.
