DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Bahrain’s Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, one of the world’s longest-serving prime ministers who led his island nation’s government for decades and survived the 2011 Arab Spring protests that demanded his ouster over corruption allegations, died on Wednesday. He was 84.

Bahrain’s state-run news agency announced his death, saying he had been receiving treatment at the Mayo Clinic in the United States, without elaborating. The Mayo Clinic did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Prince Khalifa’s power and wealth could be seen everywhere in this small nation off the coast of Saudi Arabia home to the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet. His official portrait hung for decades on walls alongside the country’s ruler. He had his own private island where he met foreign dignitaries, complete with a marina and a park that had peacocks and gazelle roam its grounds.

The prince represented an older style of Gulf leadership, one that granted patronage and favors for support of the Sunni Al Khalifa family. That style would be challenged in the 2011 protests by the island’s Shiite majority and others, who demonstrated against him over long-running corruption allegations surrounding his rule.

While some called for a constitutional monarchy, many others pressed for the removal of the long-ruling prime minister and other members of the Sunni royal family altogether, including King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

At one point during the height of the unrest in March 2011, thousands of protesters besieged the prime minister’s office while officials met inside, demanding that Prince Khalifa step down over corruption allegations and an earlier, deadly crackdown on the demonstrations. Protesters also took to waving one Bahraini dinar notes over allegations Prince Khalifa bought the land on which Bahrain’s Financial Harbour development sits for just a single dinar.

Robert Gates, a former U.S. secretary of defense under President Barack Obama, wrote in his memoirs that he urged the king at the time to force Prince Khalifa from the premiership, describing him as “disliked by nearly everyone but especially the Shia.”

Bahraini officials soon crushed the protests with the backing of troops from neighboring Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. A government-sponsored report into the protests and crackdown later described security forces beating detainees and forcing them to kiss pictures of King Hamad and Prince Khalifa.

Low-level unrest continued in the years that followed, with Shiite protesters frequently clashing with riot police. Shiite militant groups, whom Bahrain’s government allege receive support from Iran, planted bombs that killed and wounded several members of the country’s security forces.

But while other hard-line members of the Al Khalifa family actively pushed for a confrontation with Shiites, Prince Khalifa maintained contacts with those the government opposed. Even with his influence waning, he called Qatar’s ruling emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in 2019 during the holy month of Ramadan despite Bahrain being one of four Arab nations boycotting Doha in a political dispute.

In September, a U.S. Air Force C-17 flying hospital flew from Germany to Rochester, Minnesota, following by a royal Bahraini aircraft. While U.S. and Bahraini officials declined to comment on the flights, it came just after America offered the same care to Kuwait’s ruling emir just before his death.

Bill Ackman Shorts Over $20BN In Credit To Hedge Next Crash

Having made many headlines earlier in the year with his rightly apocalyptic perspective on the pandemic, billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman pocketed a tidy $2.6 billion in profits on a massive (credit) hedge he placed amid stock market complacency ahead of its March collapse.

On March 23rd, we completed the exit of our hedges generating proceeds of $2.6 billion for the Pershing Square funds ($2.1 billion for PSH), compared with premiums paid and commissions totaling $27 million, which offset the mark-to-market losses in our equity portfolio. Our hedges were in the form of purchases of credit protection on various global investment grade and high yield credit indices. Because we were able to purchase these instruments at near-all-time tight levels of credit spreads, the risk of loss from this investment was minimal at the time of purchase.

Well, the founder of hedge fund Pershing Square Holdings is at it again, telling The FT that he has put on another massive credit hedge against his long stock book where he sees complacency. Pershing is up 44% year-to-date, so who can blame him for protecting some of that gain, but what appears to have catalyzed the action is a combination of the vaccine news (which he sees as bearish), the complacency of stocks (seemingly ignoring all possible risks), and the cheapness of the hedge.

The vaccine news "is actually bearish for the market because it will make the whole thing seem less of a threat, people will taker mask-wearing less seriously, and more people will die in the next few months than in the previous period." "We're in a pretty treacherous time generally," the hedge fund manager warned, "and what's fascinating is that the same hedge we put on 8 months ago [which was extremely profitable] is available on the same, if not better, terms now... as if there had never been a 'fire' and that everything's going to be fine..."

Ackman said the new hedge is close to 30% the size of the bet he placed in late February, when he bought a set of huge insurance policies linked to $71bn of corporate debt.

Despite commenting that "it's going to be a depressing, challenging time," Ackman does offer some silver lining in that he notes "this is different from the hedge we put on in February when we thought it was a near certainty that things would get really, really ugly." This time, he is apparently more optimistic and still long stocks, adding that "I hope we lose money on this latest hedge."

We suspect that last sentence is not entirely true, especially given his comments on the asymmetric nature of the hedge payoff if the future doesn't turn out in the panglossian manner it is priced for.

Stocks climbed as giant tech companies rallied in a shift back to the safety trade that has powered this year’s gains amid speculation the economic recovery will be slow with a virus resurgence. The S&P 500 rose toward a two-month high, while the Nasdaq 100 jumped 2%. With fears of further economic pain growing and a surge in virus cases, traders piled back into companies with solid balance sheets and a suite of products that benefit from social distancing. New York City’s average of people testing positive for Covid-19 is approaching the safety threshold that would force a shutdown of schools, with the mayor citing one “last chance” to halt a second wave. Texas’s caseload topped 1 million, while U.S. hospitalizations rose to a record. The pandemic has killed more than 1.2 million people around the world since late January and sent the global economy into the worst recession in living memory. While the rotation into cheaper value stocks slowed down on Wednesday, JPMorgan Chase & Co. strategists said the shift into those companies can endure much longer after years of lagging growth shares. There’s still room for further normalization as a large part of the initial rally was driven by the short-covering of short-momentum strategies, which buy the past year’s winners and sell its losers, according to them. JPMorgan Chase Is Under a New Federal Investigation, One Month After Getting Slapped with Its 4th and 5th Criminal Felony Count

Each quarter publicly traded companies file a form known as the 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The 10-Q filed by the largest bank in the United States, JPMorgan Chase, on November 2 carried a very disturbing paragraph that had not appeared in the 10-Q the bank filed on August 3. The paragraph reads as follows:

“JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. has been advised by one of its U.S. regulators of a potential civil money penalty action against the Bank related to historical deficiencies in internal controls and internal audit over certain advisory and other activities. The Bank already has controls in place to address the deficiencies related to the proposed penalty. The Firm is currently engaged in resolution discussions with the U.S. regulator. There is no assurance that such discussions will result in resolution.”

Why is this paragraph so disturbing? First of all, the words “deficiencies” and “audit” are not two words that one wants to read in the same sentence pertaining to any Wall Street bank. But they are particularly frightening when it comes to the largest bank in the United States that has racked up an unprecedented five criminal felony counts – to which it admitted guilt – in the past six years. That’s five more felony counts than the bank racked up in the prior 100 years of its existence.Equally unprecedented, the Board of Directors of JPMorgan Chase has kept Jamie Dimon as its Chairman and CEO, despite the fact that he has sat at the helm of the bank during this unprecedented and relentless crime wave.

There is also the disturbing fact that JPMorgan Chase’s three-year probation for its role in rigging the foreign exchange market just ended in January of this year. Nine months later, on September 29, it gets slapped with two new felony counts by the U.S. Department of Justice for rigging the precious metals and U.S. Treasury market and is put on another three-year probation. And now, just a little more than a month later, we are learning that there is yet another federal probe of this bank in the works. This is known as a recidivist lawbreaker. A real Justice Department doesn’t keep doling out probation periods to recidivist lawbreakers. It throws them in the pokey and demands changes in the management and Board of JPMorgan Chase.

But William Barr’s Justice Department did the exact opposite of what a rational person would have expected on September 29 when it announced JPMorgan Chase’s fourth and fifth felony count in a six-year span. Instead of holding its typical press conference to announce such weighty charges, the Justice Department stunned Wall Street watchers by making the announcement on the same day that all eyes were on the presidential debate that night and doing it with just a press release – no press conference. That decision might have come from the fact that prosecutors were charging the bank with “tens of thousands of instances of unlawful trading in gold, silver, platinum, and palladium…as well as thousands of instances of unlawful trading in U.S. Treasury futures contracts and in U.S. Treasury notes and bonds…” but the Justice Department had decided to condense what could have been tens of thousands of counts into just two felony counts. If you don’t hold a press conference, reporters can’t ask those picky questions as to why the Justice Department was letting this serial lawbreaker off so easily.

By comparison, in 1985 the U.S. Department of Justice forced the big Wall Street bank, E.F. Hutton, to plead guilty to all 2,000 counts of wire and mail fraud it had engaged in.

In a Washington Post article on 18th October 1988, former director of the CIA accused De Beers and the Oppenheimer family of refusing to sell the US a large quantity of industrial diamonds necessary for war production.

Completed in 1944, the report concluded that the Nazi’s were getting their diamonds from the same syndicate that supplied the Allies.

Major A. W. Schmidt, the senior US investigating officer, stated in the report that this trade was protected by senior officials in the British Governments Ministry of Economic Warfare and accused these officials of being treasonous and of prolonging the war. Schmidt additionally reported that measures taken to curtail the flow of diamonds to Germany were “…sabotaged, not by the British Government, but by the representatives of the Diamond Trading Corporation in London through their domination of the Diamond Committee of the MEW [Ministry of Economic Warfare].”

the Minister of Economic Warfare during this period [1942-5] was Lord Selborne. Amongst his other associations, Selborne was a member of the top level “circle of initiates” of the secret society formed by South African gold and diamond magnate, Cecil Rhodes – who founded De Beers. Following Rhodes death this powerful and secretive group was run by Lord Alfred Milner with Lord Selborne in the deputy leader slot. Following Milner’s death in 1925, he assumed the leadership of the “group.” Among his other wartime duties he headed Churchill’s Special Operations Executive (SOE).

A so-called “false order,” the Shickshinny knights were composed of individuals who leaned to the extreme political right. The Order’s “Armed Services Committee,” included such military notables as British Admiral, Sir Barry Domville – a former head of Naval intelligence who was imprisoned in WWII for his pro-Nazi activities. Domville headed a pro-Hitler group called “The Link” which was intimately associated with the powerful and traitorous pro-Nazi “Right Club.”

Membership of this “club” was composed of over 250 leading lights of Britain’s Establishment. Included was John Milner Bailey, the son of Sir Abe Bailey - another South African gold mining millionaire who was a contemporary of Rhodes. Sir Abe was also the main financial supporter of the Rhodes-Milner group after Rhodes death and was an “initiate” of Rhodes secret society. A close friend of both Rhodes and Milner, he named his son after the latter. Significantly, John Milner Bailey was the largest financial contributor to the “Right Club,” and had married Winston Churchill’s daughter Diana, some years earlier.

One knowledgeable source told this writer that one family, the Oppenheimer’s, effectively control the world’s gold, diamond and platinum market. The Oppenheimer business empire of today was, of course, drawn largely from the old business empire of Cecil Rhodes. During the course of his life, Sir Harry Oppenheimer held Rhodes in the highest regard, referring to him as “the Colossus.” Sir Harry, who later converted from Judaism to Christianity, was made a Knight of St. John – the British equivalent to the Catholic SMOM.

He shares this distinction with other notable Establishment figures such as Sir Otto Beit, the son of the German born Alfred Beit - a contemporary of Cecil Rhodes in South Africa’s Kimberley diamond fields and also a shareholder in De Beers. Alfred Beit also generously helped to finance Rhodes secret society.

Lord Carrington is also a Knight of St. John and a former director of Rio Tinto Zinc, Hambros Bank and was also Co-President of Chatham House (all are, or were at one time, associated with the Rhodes-Milner group). Lord Carrington is also a leading light of the secretive Bilderberg Group. Since its inception in 1954 (the same year that the London gold market reopened following its closure in 1939) Bilderberg has had a large German representation over the years.

The top boss of all the election officials, Trey Trainor, has confirmed that in his professional opinion, “there has not been transparency in the election” and “this election is illegitimate.“

He dropped the bombshell on the liberal news media at Newsmax when he made the announcement that he believes “that there is voter fraud taking place in these places.”

Japan seeks 1-year deal on US base funding in high-level talks

Japan and the U.S. have begun formal negotiations on a new cost-sharing agreement for hosting American troops, with Tokyo angling for a one-year interim deal before power changes hands in Washington.

Diplomatic and defense officials from both countries met Monday and Tuesday in Washington to discuss a replacement for the five-year host-nation support agreement expiring at the end of March.

President Donald Trump has pushed Japan and other allies to pay what he calls their "fair share" of security costs, reportedly demanding that Tokyo more than quadruple its contribution from current levels. Some in Tokyo hope the pressure would ease under a President Joe Biden. A one-year deal would allow for a transition to a new administration. If the two sides cannot reach a detailed agreement by year-end, they would have to negotiate again in 2021.

The U.S. made "no extreme demands for higher funding" in this first round of talks, according to a senior official from Japan's Defense Ministry who asked not to be named. Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato told reporters Wednesday that officials had "reaffirmed the important role that host-nation funding has played in the activities of U.S. forces in Japan."

The Japanese side highlighted its contributions to the alliance, including cooperation based on 2015 national security legislation as well as a planned partnership in space. Tokyo covers most utility expenses and staff salaries under the cost-sharing deal. Japan's fiscal 2020 budget included 199.3 billion yen ($1.89 billion) for host-nation support.

Though a new five-year deal normally would be necessary once the current one expires, precedent exists for a short-term arrangement. Japan and the U.S. agreed to a two-year cost-sharing agreement in 2005 as they were discussing a reshuffle of American forces.

YouTube said late Wednesday it was working to resolve an issue that prevented many users from playing videos.

Downdetector.com, a site that monitors internet outages and outages that affect specific sites, tweeted that user reports indicated YouTube was having problems since 7:13 p.m. ET

YouTube TV also was affected by the outage, users said.

Users on Downdetector reported getting "something went wrong" and other messages. The site said more than 250,000 users reported outages.

Arizona's Republican attorney general rejects election fraud claims, predicts Biden win in state

Attorney General Mark Brnovich on Wednesday dismissed ongoing claims of election fraud in Arizona, arguing that "if indeed there was some great conspiracy" to steal votes from fellow Republicans, "it apparently didn't work."

What happened instead was simple and legitimate, Brnovich said during an appearance on Fox Business: Voters split their tickets, voting for Democrats in the presidential and U.S. Senate races and for Republicans down-ballot.

"In Arizona, there was a prediction that the (Republican-controlled) Legislature would flip. It didn’t," said Brnovich, the No. 2 Republican in the state behind the governor. "There were some congressional districts that supposedly leaned Democrat. They didn’t flip. The county recorder here who oversees elections went from Democrat to Republican. The county attorney remained Republican.

"That's the reality," he said. "There is no evidence, there are no facts that would lead anyone to believe that the election results will change."

Shanghai overnight interbank rate jumps to 10-month high

The Shanghai Interbank Offered Rate (SHIBOR) for the overnight tenor rose to 2.521% on Thursday, the highest since Jan. 17.

The volume-weighted average of the benchmark repo for the same tenor traded in the interbank market also rose to a near 10-month high of 2.522% as of 0306 GMT.

Rising overnight borrowing rates in China’s interbank market this week reflect tightening cash conditions as the economy rapidly recovers, giving the central bank room for a more flexible approach to monetary policy, traders and analysts said.

Ballots are 100% interlinked with the voting software. Sending a blank ballot allows the software to tabulate votes differently from a ballot that is correctly populated.

Whether these blank ballots were used for fraud is an exercise for investigators to prove.

CodemonkeyZ: What we have learned so far from reading the Dominion Voting System manual

1. Votes can theoretically be ignored for individuals if a straight ticket vote is selected. This setting could very welI enable "Repubiican"-style typo fraud. Many complex rules decide how the "straight ticket" option works.

2. Network Security is very weak since all software access keys use the same cryptographic pair. This gives plausible deniability to whoever potentially decides to mess around with voting settings. It cant be proven who changed a setting since everybody has the same key

3. Digital certificates are not protected by password, and Dominion user manual explicitly says not to enter a password. This enables potential for bad actors to MITM attack data traveling over network between precinct tabulator and central tabulator.

4. Cryptic "split rotation" function that features the ability to "force a maximum deviation". There is no definition of a "split rotation", so we cannot know what "force a maximum deviation" means in this instance.

5. Local IT guys have ultimate power to clandestinely change settings, thus having the ability to potentially alter an entire election. There are no checks and balances or observers of the local IT guy when he accesses machine debug and admin settings. Its unclear if logs exist.

6. Dominion is a black box with votes ultimately tabulated in a central server system. Who has access to the central server and where is the manual and security reviews of that server software?

7. Settings could theoretically have been changed during evening downtime on first night of voting. Much easier to change settings on hundreds of machines than to forge thousands of ballots. A couple of people could have done it quickly.

8. State of Pennsylvania requested semantic changes to the Dominion voting software, possibly to aid in their lawfare efforts. The word "Cast" became "Print", obfuscating the moment when your vote becomes officially cast. For what reason is currently unknown.

9. There is an option to force the vote scanner to "overrun" a preset amount of ballots EVERY time anybody pauses the scan mid-batch. "Overrun" is undefined. Potential for abuse is high with this function, which was added shortly after 2018 mid-term elections.

Many people have sent me (completely publicly available) Dominion security audits, documents, manuals, and state contracts. Have a lot of reading to do.

If there are any potential election fraud settings hiding in plain sight, I will do my best to find it.

Biden affirms security treaty applies to Senkaku Islands in Suga call

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden sought to shore up ties with key Asian allies on Thursday morning, by making his first calls with the leaders of Japan, South Korea and Australia.

In Biden's 15-minute conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, the two leaders agreed to cooperate on fighting the coronavirus and climate change. Suga said the Japan-U.S. alliance, while needing strengthening, is the cornerstone of his country's diplomacy and security, stressing that it is essential for the peace and prosperity of an increasingly unstable region.

Biden confirmed that Article 5 of the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty will be applied to the defense of Okinawa Prefecture and the Senkaku Islands. Article 5 stipulates that the U.S. is obliged to defend Japan should its territories come under attack. Former President Barack Obama was the first U.S. leader to declare that the pact applies to the Senkakus.

Chinese vessels have been sighted near the islands, claimed by Beijing and known as Diaoyu in China, on more than 280 days this year – moves that have ratcheted up pressure on Japan and drawn protests from Tokyo.

When asked about the call, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin told reporters Thursday that the islands are "China's inherent territory" and that the U.S.-Japan security treaty is "a product of the Cold War and should not harm the interests of third parties, let alone endanger regional peace and stability." Suga said he looked forward to "meeting [Biden] as soon as possible," in reference to a planned February 2021 visit to the U.S. after the presidential inauguration ceremony. The Japanese prime minister called for cooperation toward realizing a "free and open Indo-Pacific" led by Japan and the U.S. He also requested cooperation on the issue of North Korean abductions of Japanese citizens. After the call, Suga told reporters "it was very important to work with Biden to strengthen the Japan-U.S. alliance."

This is a departure from President Donald Trump, who was seeking a review of the alliance during the presidential campaign four years ago, before reaffirming that the treaty covers the Senkakus to former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at their first summit in February 2017. Also separating the pair from Trump are their commitments to tackling climate change. Suga has set a goal of reducing carbon emissions to net zero by 2050, and Biden has pledged to return the U.S. to the Paris Agreement.

On the COVID-19 response, Biden has called on a team of experts to develop an action plan to be implemented at the same time as the inauguration of his administration, while Suga plans to align with the U.S. in the development and securement of vaccines. The two sides committed to keep on coordinating views on China's advances in the South China Sea and the East China Sea, as well as North Korea's nuclear and missile development. Japan will pay close attention to how Biden approaches China in the face of the ongoing Washington-Beijing tensions.

Meanwhile, South Korean President Moon Jae-in also had a call with Biden on Thursday morning, in which the pair agreed on the need for a strong alliance and keeping peace on the Korean Peninsula. "I just spoke to @JoeBiden and congratulated him on his election. We reaffirmed our firm commitment to a robust ROK-US alliance and peaceful and prosperous Korean Peninsula. Going forward, I will work closely with him to meet global challenges including COVID-19 and climate change," Moon said on Twitter. But with Biden calling North Korean leader Kim Jong Un a "thug," analysts say Moon may face difficulties pushing for engagement with Pyongyang. Some see the North resuming military provocations to raise its negotiation power with the incoming Biden administration.

"The U.S. and its allies need to coordinate responses to North Korea's upgraded long-range and submarine-based missiles because Pyongyang's next move may be to conduct a provocative test as a 'welcome gift' to Biden before demanding financial benefits to reduce military tensions," said Leif-Eric Easley, an associate professor of international studies at Ewha Womans University in Seoul. "A Biden administration is more likely to pursue working-level talks with Pyongyang rather than summits and big deals."

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison also spoke with Biden. "There are no greater friends and no greater allies than Australia and the U.S.," Morrison tweeted after the call. "I look forward to strengthening even further our deep and enduring alliance, and to working with him closely as we face the world's many challenges together."

Russia’s gold & foreign currency reserves surge by over $3 BILLION in one week

Russia’s foreign exchange holdings have risen for the second consecutive week to reach $587.6 billion, according to the latest data released by the country’s central bank.

The holdings rose by $3.6 billion, or 0.62 percent, from October 30 to November 6. The growth was supported by “positive exchange rate revaluation and higher gold prices,” according to the regulator.

The country's international reserves are highly liquid foreign assets comprising stocks of monetary gold, foreign currencies, and Special Drawing Right (SDR) assets, which are at the disposal of the Central Bank of Russia and the government. The holdings have surpassed the target level of $500 billion set by the regulator in June 2019 and remained above the threshold ever since.

China’s President Xi Jinping personally decided to pull the plug on Ant Group’s $37-billion initial public offering, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing Chinese officials with the knowledge of the matter. The decision to stop what would have been the world’s largest ever IPO, came days after the fintech giant’s billionaire founder Jack Ma launched a public attack on the country’s financial watchdogs and banks.

President Xi ordered Chinese regulators to investigate and effectively shut down Ant's stock market flotation, the report said here. Ant Group did not immediately respond to Reuters request for comment. The Information Office of the State Council, China’s cabinet, could not be reached immediately for comment. Ma had told a summit in Shanghai on Oct. 24 that the regulatory system was stifling innovation and must be reformed to fuel growth. Earlier this month, Reuters reported the speech set off a chain of events that torpedoed the listing of Ant. Soon after Ma’s scathing speech, state regulators started compiling reports including one on how Ant had used digital financial products like Huabei, a virtual credit card service, to encourage poor and young people to build up debt.

The general office of the State Council compiled a report on public sentiment about Ma’s speech and submitted it to senior leaders including President Xi, Reuters had reported.

In-Q-Tel: How to Keep Your Spies In the Know

Even the CIA needs help with technology. In-Q-Tel is just the solution the spymasters of the world were looking for.

Part 007 gadget master, part nerd, part financier. In-Q-Tel is most commonly known as the venture capital arm of the CIA. Its name comes from a mashup of the word “intelligence” and “Q,” 007’s supplier of gadgets and technology.

In-Q-Tel’s business model is simple: it seeks to help the U.S. intelligence community, through the CIA, keep pace with the private sector in discovering unique technological advancements that serve to find intelligence solutions. More specifically, it looks for enhanced innovation, earlier discovery of relevant technologies, and more direct information on market developments [1]. While In-Q-Tel’s business model shares many similarities with traditional venture capital firms, it differs in important ways. Its primary objective isn’t to maximize return on investment. Rather, it aims to accelerate pseudo-developed technology into businesses that deliver fully useable products to the CIA and, later, the broader market. Consequently, In-Q-Tel rigorously diligences potential portfolio companies to meet CIA objectives, while providing a more in-depth relationship with its portfolio companies through intellectual and financial capital, while also offering the CIA as a beta tester to those companies.[2]

While the original purpose of the firm was to supply the CIA with technological solutions, In-Q-Tel strives to do so with products supported by the competitive marketplace, not government funding. [3] This important distinction ensures that portfolio companies are left to the same commercial pressures as any other Silicon Valley darling, undergoing intense scrutiny and continuous development. Palantir, a Big Data analytics firm, is an example of one such investment. Originally founded in 2004, with the CIA as its first client, Palantir has now expanded its client base to include many notable commercial firms.

In-Q-Tel’s operational structure is key to delivering on its business model:

Funding: Like all venture capital and investment funds, capital is In-Q-Tel’s lifeblood. While most venture capital firms seek outside investment from limited partners (LPs), In-Q-Tel receives its funding directly from the CIA’s Directorate of Science and Technology, to the tune of approximately $37 million annually.[4] Although relatively small compared to the mega VC funds of Sand Hill Rd, the cash flows are likely to be much more certain each year, and come from one “client”, the CIA, potentially providing more flexibility than a standard VC would see.

Inherent partnership with the CIA: In-Q-Tel is set up as a distinct corporation and is legally independent of the CIA. Its relationship with the Agency is a contractual one.[5] Having a direct association with the CIA gives In-Q-Tel the guaranteed benefit of having a sophisticated client that dictates what it wants and needs, information In-Q-Tel uses to find solutions to those problems.[6] While other firms in the space spend considerable time and resources anticipating what consumers want, In-Q-Tel has the luxury of dedicating resources to searching for direct solutions.

Not-for-profit structure: In-Q-Tel is set up as a nonprofit that funnels any profits it makes on its investments back into the organization.[7] The setup allows the firm to concentrate on its primary objective of delivering technological solutions over maximizing profit. Despite the not-for-profit designation, employees are still compensated from their stake in the portfolio company, aligning interests, while keeping pay far above typical government salaries, which helps attract talent.

Board of Trustees: Guided by the board of trustees, In-Q-Tel creates strategic partnerships with leaders in their respective fields. This includes professors from top engineering schools, partners from top venture capital firms, and lawyers from the best law firms.[8] The confluence of unique perspectives across different, yet relevant, industries, provides insight into different industries and can even lead to potential coinvestments on large deals with other firms.

In-Q-Tel has led to many new solutions. While there remain several questions about the firm’s future viability (e.g., below VC industry average pay, which may lead to a brain drain), the U.S. intelligence community, as well as private corporations and users have continued to praise In-Q-Tel’s role in bridging a gap in technology.

On Tuesday we published our report on the widespread election night theft of votes from President Donald Trump to Joe Biden.

We obtained an unaudited analysis of data available for all the states looking for system glitches and other oddities in vote counts related to the Presidential race only.

We were led to a site on the Internet thedonald.win where someone who had seen our posts decided to run analysis himself.

The author obtained data that has been passed around that was reportedly captured by the New York Times on election night.

By examining the data the author was able to locate an instance where votes were switched from Trump to Biden so he decided to perform an analysis on the entire data set, starting with the states where Dominion voting machines are used.

The author also claims that the data is from Edison Research and it is the same data that is used for election coverage by at least ABC News, CBS News, CNN and NBC News.

It is also used for the website of the NYT, and probably others as well.

Based on this initial analysis from The New York Times over 500,000 votes were identified that were switched from President Trump to Joe Biden.

In addition to this hundreds of thousands of Trump were also deleted.

We now know there was tremendous fraud in the 2020 election.

Joe Biden had zero support, and yet his vote count surpassed the greatest campaign in US history led by President Donald Trump.

We are supposed to believe Joe Biden defeated President Trump and at the same time lost seats in the US House and state legislatures? This is highly improbable.

And thanks to The New York Times — we now have information that will take down Democrats and Joe Biden!

In this role, Ware was responsible for leading DHS policy development in support of department-wide efforts to reduce national risks with a focus on critical infrastructure cybersecurity, federal network security, countering cyber-crime, and improving the security and resilience of the global cyber ecosystem, as well as national resilience initiatives that enhance Federal, State and local government and community preparedness and response capabilities.

Ware is an entrepreneur, founding an artificial intelligence company in 1998 which he led as CEO through multiple rounds of Venture Capital investment until it was acquired in 2013 by Haystax. After serving as CTO of Haystax for several years during which he helped the company acquire leading cloud technology and cybersecurity companies, Ware took over as CEO of Haystax in 2016 until its acquisition in 2018. Ware started his professional career at leading Defense contractors working on advanced technology programs like the Star Wars program, early UAV payloads, and counterterrorism technologies.

Ware has been issued multiple patents in artificial intelligence and mobile technology. He holds a degree in Applied Optics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A senior U.S. cybersecurity official is leaving government after being asked to resign, an official familiar with the matter said Thursday, part of a wider thinning of President Donald Trump’s administration following Joe Biden’s election win.

Bryan Ware, the Assistant Director for Cybersecurity for the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), confirmed to Reuters that he had handed in his resignation on Thursday.

He didn’t provide details, but a U.S. official familiar with the matter said the White House asked for Ware’s resignation earlier this week.

CISA and the White House did not immediately return an email seeking comment.
