CLEVELAND — Former Vice President Joe Biden will have two Northeast Ohioans among his guests at tonight's presidential debate in Cleveland.

According to a release from the Biden for President campaign, a small business owner from Cleveland Heights and a service technician from Cleveland will watch the debate between Biden and President Trump inside Samson Pavilion at the Health Education Campus.

Gurnee Green is a small business owner from Cleveland Heights who was highlighted during the Democratic National Convention. He owns the Cleveland Heights fashion boutique Chemistry 11. In addition to being a small business owner, Gurnee is a certified healthcare information technologies analyst and mother of two.

James Evanoff Jr. is a service technician in Cleveland. He has eight years of seniority with United Steel Workers (USW) and works at ArcelorMittal, which was recently acquired by Cleveland Cliffs.

Biden's third guest will be Kristin Urquiza, who shared a powerful story at the Democratic National Convention about losing her father to COVID-19 in Arizona, declaring his “only pre-existing condition was trusting Donald Trump — and for that he paid with his life.” Urquiza is an environmental advocate at Mighty Earth and co-founded the awareness campaign “Marked by COVID.”

"Vice President Biden’s debate night guests represent the working families he will fight for as President, and they each highlight how Donald Trump’s failures to control the virus and save the economy have hurt hard working Americans lives and livelihoods," the campaign said in a statement.

Trump Admin Poised To Gift Israel $11 Billion In Bid to Secure Another Arab-Israeli “Peace” Treaty

Trump’s arrangement to sell F-35 warplanes to the United Arab Emirates has prompted Israel to issue a list of demands – including must-have advanced aircraft and other accouterments.

The United States continues to use the American taxpayers’ expense account to prioritize Israel’s aspirations. Close on the heels of the so-called Abraham Accords earlier this month, which normalized relations between Israel and the Arab states of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Trump administration is formulating plans to essentially purchase another Arab-Israeli “peace” treaty.

In addition, the U.S. is likely to hand Israel billions of dollars in free military equipment.

Regional domination

Trump’s post-Abraham Accords arrangement to sell F-35 warplanes to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has prompted Israel to issue a list of demands – must-have advanced aircraft and other accouterments that would enable Israel to maintain its Qualitative Military Edge (QME) in the region.

Israel’s QME, the commitment by the U.S. to assure Israel’s ability to overcome any and all military threats with minimal casualties, has been enshrined in U.S. law since 2008 and is expressed today as $3.8 billion in military aid, about a quarter of the $15 billion distributed worldwide.

Israel’s wish list, as reported by AntiWar, includes a squadron of F-35s, reportedly worth some $850 million apiece, and other cutting-edge products.

These “gifts” would be in addition to the $3.8 billion a year Israel already receives in military aid from the U.S. – money that ought to be withheld according to the Leahy Laws, legislation that seeks to put a paywall between American aid and military groups that perpetrate gross human rights violations.

Trump’s plan to sell warplanes, and Israel’s demands, reportedly came up just hours before the Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and the UAE were to sign the Abraham Accords, although some sources report that Israel’s Netanyahu knew about the U.S. plan to sell to the UAE much earlier.

Treaty in the works

The Trump administration is also scurrying to assemble a treaty between Israel and Sudan ahead of U.S. elections, again at great benefit to Israel and expense to the American taxpayer.

According to Sudanese political analyst Khalil Abdul Jabbar, the Sudanese people typically would stand with the Palestinians rather than accepting normalization with Israel – but they need the help that Washington could offer to improve their economic situation.

Abdul Jabbar indicated that Trump hoped to capitalize on Sudan’s dire economic situation ahead of the 2020 election.

Sudan is struggling under $62 billion in foreign debt, brought about in large part because of its designation as a state sponsor of terrorism (SST) – a label that goes back to 1993 and has resulted in punishing global sanctions.

Sudan hopes to receive an initial infusion of $3 billion in U.S. aid, plus removal from the SST list, in exchange for normalized relations with Israel. Additional aid would likely follow.

‘How Many More Get Away?’ Farage Releases Footage of Migrants Arriving ‘Under the Cover of Darkness’

Brexit leader Nigel Farage released footage of illegal migrants “landing under the cover of darkness” at Shakespeare Beach in Dover, England.

The footage appears to show over a dozen mostly male migrants being escorted by local police after they, Mr Farage claimed, had landed on British shores in the early hours of Tuesday.

In a message directed to Home Secretary Priti Patel, Mr Farage questioned: “How many like this now get away?”

Mr Farage has been reporting on instances of migrants evading the British Border Force and clandestinely entering the country, often travelling across the English Channel by night in order to go unseen.

In April, the Brexit leader turned investigative journalist spoke to local fishermen in the beach town of Pett Level in East Sussex, who informed Farage that they often witnessed migrants arriving in under the cover of darkness. They went on to claim that people smugglers in the UK would meet the migrants and swiftly collect the migrants as well as their boats before they were detected by the Border Force.

“This scandal, I think, is far bigger than anyone realises,” Mr Farage remarked at the time.

The Brexit Party leader said that he contacted the Home Office in May, to ask whether the government accepted that migrants are entering in the country undetected, what the current estimate was, and what if anything they are doing to track down the clandestine arrivals.

“Well, the Home Office came back and said: ‘It is completely inaccurate to claim small boats are arriving into the UK every day. We are using all the skills of the Border Force, the National Crime Agency, Immigration Enforcement, and French law enforcement (you’re having a laugh!) to dismantle and arrest the criminal gangs who trade in people-smuggling, and since April the 1st we’ve stopped so many from coming, blah blah blah blah,’” Farage said.

On Monday, Home Secretary Priti Patel told MPs that the government is planning on refusing alleged asylum seekers who come to the UK from safe countries, where they are bound by law to remain.

“We want to ensure our asylum system is not being abused by those who are not genuine asylum seekers.” Patel said in comments reported by The Times.

Ms Patel said discussions were continuing with Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands to stop the crossings. The government was also looking at legal, safe routes “for the protection of those that need our help”.

Why a decades-old border dispute just sparked tank battles and airstrikes and has Russia and a NATO member picking sides

Fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan entered its third day Tuesday around Nagorno-Karabakh, a territory the two countries have long disputed, but this clash is the most intense in decades and could draw in the region's major powers.

The clashes have largely been along the line of contact, an unofficial border between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh (known as Artsakh to Armenians), which lies within Azerbaijan but has been controlled by ethnic Armenian forces, backed by Armenia's government, since 1994.

Within hours, Armenia and Azerbaijan published videos of tank battles and airstrikes as well as frontline combat and its aftermath.

Both sides have made grand claims of enemy casualties. Azerbaijan claimed it killed 500 Armenian soldiers, while Armenian sources claimed to have killed over 200 Azeri troops. Armenia also said it destroyed 33 tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, four helicopters, and 27 drone aircraft.

Back in the day backpack jammers had 4 different packs to cover a wide spectrum so 4 bubbas would have to wear one each

Notch filters for military comms so we could still talk

Very narrow bands that only our radios talked on

Now they are much smaller units

Why can't a couple of bubbas be on either side of the stage

And fire these up after the first 5 mins of the debate?

SS has to communicate when motorcade is rolling

And the motorcade rolls with ECM active

So their comms are good with jamming enabled

(Don't believe me? See what happens to your cell phone call when the VP or POTUS drives by)

So why not bring man portable jammers to wash out comms on the stage?

It wouldn't wash out SS or military comms

And would nail civilian comms

Only Issue would be if the radios Creepy Joe and team are using operate on the same freqs

That and a lot of the audience will not be able to use their cell phones if they are actively being jammed

A Turkish F-16 fighter has shot down an Armenian Air Force Su-25, Yerevan has announced. It comes three days after a military conflict between Armenia and neighboring Azerbaijan broke out over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Officials in Yerevan said the incident took place in Armenian airspace and that the pilot of the Soviet-designed Su-25 was killed.

The attack comes hours after Ankara said that it would help Azerbaijan repel “Armenian aggression,” offering both diplomatic and military assistance. Armenia said earlier that it was prepared to use Russian-made Iskander ballistic missiles in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region if Turkey - a member of the US-led NATO bloc - deploys its American-built F-16 fighter jets in support of the Azeri offensive.

A spokesman for Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan denied Yerevan’s claim to Bloomberg. Azerbaijan’s defense ministry has also denied that a Turkish F-16 jet has shot down an Armenian warplane.

Army Cyber Command is ‘evolving’ beyond cyber operations

Army Cyber Command is expanding its mission to include more than just traditional cyber operations, its commanding officer said Tuesday.

Cyber operators within the command will take on additional duties in “information advantage” and “decision dominance,” to include helping kinetic operations extend their impact, collecting information that helps feed battlefield decisions and working to influence adversaries, Lt. Gen. Stephen Fogarty, Army Cyber Command’s leader, said during an Association of Old Crows webinar.

The evolution is part of a journey the command has been on spanning its decade of existence, including previous ideas to change its name to reflect its added emphasis on information operations. Fogarty added that the command will continue to evolve from simply defending DOD networks and improving the service’s cybersecurity to meet the changing electronic environment.

“Over the course of a year … we started to understand the problem is much greater than cyber,” Fogarty said.

He said the new direction for the command is “pre-decisional” and that the details of what exactly “information advantage” and “decision dominance” mean are still being worked out. The command recently published a redesign of its force to prepare for “information warfare.” The pivot to combating foreign influence operations and launching its own appear to be a part of the concept of information advantage the general outlined Tuesday.

Fogarty said the most immediate impact is the command’s new work will extend beyond the traditional boundaries of disrupting radio frequency signals, cybersecurity and working purely in an electronic environment.

Tech giants continue their expansion into the Nasdaq 100 Index, and six companies altogether account for almost 50% of the capitalization.

Tech stocks have always been strong in the index, but in 2020 this imbalance has reached unprecedented proportions.

According to Jeroen Blokland, the head of the Robeco multi-asset fund, only four technology companies now account for 42% of the Nasdaq 100’s capitalization. These companies are mastodons such as Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet, the parent company of Google.

Other companies worth mentioning are Facebook and Tesla. However, they total only 6% of the index capitalization, which is less than any of the four giants. However, in total, all 6 companies make up 49% of the Nasdaq 100’s capitalization, the same as the other 94 companies represented in the index.

The correction dealt serious blows to the capitalizations of the giants. Thus, Amazon lost about 10% from the highs of early September. Apple and Alphabet both declined more, shedding 15% of all-time highs. Microsoft shares were the most resilient, falling “only” by 9%.

California judge says Trump can’t ban WeChat because of the First Amendment, but Big Tech is never stopped from censoring Americans

An effort by President Trump to ban the “WeChat” app from American smartphones has failed after U.S. Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler of San Francisco decided that restricting the Chinese-owned app would violate the First Amendment.

Regardless of the fact that WeChat poses a national security threat, much in the same way as TikTok, Beeler claims that the app has free speech rights that must be protected.

In her ruling, Beeler wrote that WeChat, a product of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), “serves as a virtual public square for the Chinese-speaking and Chinese-American community in the United States and is (as a practical matter) their (sic) only means of communication.”

Beeler added that banning WeChat “forecloses meaningful access to communication in their community and thereby operates as a prior restraint on their right to free speech.”

Failing to explain how or why Chinese people in the U.S. somehow cannot use other modes of smartphone communication, Beeler went on to reveal her political bias by declaring the Trump administration’s efforts to ban WeChat as an “overarching national-security interest.”

“[The administration has] put in scant little evidence that its effective ban of WeChat for all U.S. users addresses those concerns,” Beeler added.

“The plaintiffs have shown serious questions going to the merits of their First Amendment claim that the Secretary’s prohibited transactions effectively eliminate the plaintiffs’ key platform for communication, slow or eliminate discourse, and are the equivalent of censorship of speech or a prior restraint on it.”

Does this mean conservatives and Christians are now free to exercise their First Amendment rights on Silicon Valley tech platforms?

One wonders if Beeler holds the same position with regards to Facebook and Twitter, which are actively censoring conservatives, Christians and white people for expressing viewpoints that some far-leftists find “offensive.”

Will Natural News, for instance, once again be allowed to put its smartphone app in the Apple App Store? How about the hundreds of American patriots who have been de-platformed from Facebook – or does Beeler’s ruling only apply to the Chinese?

Since we already know the answer to these questions, it is critical to ask yourself: Why is such hypocrisy allowed to persist? And perhaps even more importantly: Why isn’t the Republican-dominated Senate doing anything about it?

The respected IFS think-tank said an income tax rise of 6p or 7p for every £1 earned could be needed to cover extra public spending over the next five or six years.

It also urged ministers to ditch any plans for setting out a multi-year spending review due to the unprecedented uncertainties facing the economy.

Instead Chancellor Rishi Sunak should set a one-year plan and focus on working out how much more the government will need to lay out dealing with Covid in the future.

The new report by the IFS looked at how much money has been spent and what options are open to the Government.

It found that spending has increased 20 per cent above the Government's original plans before the pandemic.

Gates Vaccine Spreads Polio Across Africa

Microsoft founder Bill Gates has made himself the global vaccine czar as his foundation spends billions on spreading new vaccines globally. While much attention has been given to the role of Gates behind the corrupt WHO in promoting radical untested coronavirus vaccines, the record of the Gates Foundation pushing an oral polio vaccine across Africa gives more sobering evidence that all Gates says and does is not genuine human charity. The UN has just recently admitted that new cases of infantile paralysis or polio have resulted in Africa from an oral polio vaccine developed with strong support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It mirrors what happened in the USA in the 1950s. This is worth a closer look.

Vaccines that cause polio

The vaccine industry loves to cite development of vaccines in the 1950s as solely responsible for eradicating what was a severe paralytic illness that reached a peak in the USA after World War II and as well, in England, Germany and other European countries. Now, despite the fact that no new cases of “wild polio” virus have been detected in all Africa since 2016, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and their allies in the WHO proclaimed that Gates’ $4 billion ten-year African vaccination campaign using an oral polio vaccine had finally eliminated the dreaded polio. That was at the end of August.

One week later on September 2, WHO was forced to backtrack and admit that new polio outbreaks in Sudan were linked to an ongoing series of new polio cases in Chad and Cameroon. According to the WHO, further polio cases have been registered in more than a dozen African countries including Angola, Congo, Nigeria and Zambia. But the shocking thing is that the outbreaks are all reportedly caused by the Gates-backed oral polio vaccine.

In a revealing comment, a CDC virologist involved with WHO and Gates Foundation in the Africa mass polio vaccination campaign, part of something called the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, admits the vaccine is creating significantly more cases of polio paralysis than the deceptively named “wild polio” disease. “We have now created more new emergences of the virus than we have stopped,” virologist Mark Pallansch of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention admitted. The Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) is a combined effort of the WHO, UNICEF, the U.S. CDC, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International.

Bill Gates was reportedly responsible for driving the campaign to develop the liquid oral polio vaccine and massively administer it to the populations of Africa and Asia despite the near absence of any cases of “wild polio.” According to one of the partners in the Gates polio initiative, from Rotary International, “Gates personally drove the development of a new polio vaccine that is now in the final stages of testing. When the idea was put forward, about the time of the last case of polio to happen in India, many were thinking the vaccine would play no important role in eradication, but Gates insisted.” When someone asked him, why polio, which had all but vanished worldwide, Gates replied, “Polio is a terrible disease.”

The Truth About Hunter Biden’s China Entanglements Is Even More Sinister Than Previously Thought

A report revealing that Hunter Biden received a 3.5 million dollar wire transfer from a politically connected Russian billionaire has managed to overshadow his extensively documented financial entanglements with China. Revolver News has obtained access to a carefully researched report offering important and disturbing information about Hunter’s business dealings and relationships in China, and we believe that these deserve renewed focus, particularly in light of a potentially compromising situation that has come to our attention.

The report is the result of months of work by a group called “Typhoon Investigations,” which styles itself as an “activist research firm protecting companies from foreign influence and threats.” While Revolver News cannot confirm the accuracy of every item in the report, we have been in contact with individuals involved in the creation of the report and can confirm the subject matter expertise. We note that much of the information represented in the report can be publicly verified.

The major findings of the report suggest that the sole reason the Hunter Biden would have been allowed a stake in the Chinese state backed private equity firm BHR is for the purpose of political influence via his father:

There is no apparent reason for HUNTER’s participation in the BHR partnership other than political payoff and influence. Virtually all financial investors or partners are state policy entities, state owned entities, or only nominally private. The investments flow primarily to Chinese state backed projects or firms. The financial terms, where we have been able to locate specific deal terms, engage in non-normal business practices designed to funnel fees and assets to benefit a specific party.

There is clear intent by Chinese state officials acting to influence US individuals either in official positions or with close relationships to them. This facilitated use of Chinese state offices and officials to meet HUNTER and arrange for public money via the social security, local state-owned enterprises, and policy bank to fund the investment partnership. Though the investment partnership was not official until late 2013, the key relationships and visits with companies and individuals who would become investors and partners began significantly earlier.

China invests large amounts of financial and political capital in influencing foreign individuals and institutions. Given the personal connection with senior individuals within the Chinese government, there is absolutely no chance this investment partnership was undertaken as a normal market transaction or that political influence by Chinese was ignored. Notably, key individuals have strong links to Chinese influence organizations.

BHR is a state managed operation. Leading shareholder Bohai is a Bank of China subsidiary, and BHR’s partners are Chinese State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) that funnel revenue/assets to BHR. [Typhoon]

Ignoring Clinton Charity Frauds To Attack Trump for Paying Taxes: Ortel

Yesterday, the New York Times published 10,000 empty words on Donald Trump’s taxes, a barrage of self-inflicted wounds gutting the integrity of the editorial staff and management of this publicly traded, yet family influenced company. Yet it was not an effective indictment of any Trump family member.

It is not a crime to offset losses against income, a fact that has been true for decades. And, it is profit-seeking businesses, and their owners and employees that produce the bulk of taxable income, yielding revenue needed to defray expenses of government.

Over decades, generations of Trumps employed thousands of New Yorkers directly and indirectly producing incomes and spending that filled tax coffers at federal, state, city and county level. But instead of cultivating the Trump family and other profit-seekers, city and state government officials decided to persecute them, something Mayor DeBlasio and Governor Cuomo II, seemingly delight in doing.

A Welcome Mat for Grifters

While the Trump family hails from the Empire State, Bill and Hillary Clinton formally arrived there officially as a pair of carpetbaggers from Washington, DC in 2001, having plucked their previous domiciles clean.

Like her predecessor Eric Schneiderman, New York Attorney General Tish James relentlessly pounds the Trump family for charity offenses but so far has turned a blind eye to the biggest illegal enrichment scheme using "charities" since Tammany Hall.

Meanwhile, editors at The New York Times refuse to look through publicly available filings concerning a supposed charity now called "The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation" that began hustling in New York in 1998, while the Clinton's and their lawyers needed vast sums to fend off impeachment, and pay overdue legal bills.

When it comes to the Trumps, authorities enforce strict laws regulating charities and their money-raising appeals, but not so for the Clintons. This is especially true of Robert Mueller and James Comey, who "missed" the early period of Clinton charity fraud, when they "investigated" the Clinton Foundation with grand juries from 2001 to 2005, according to documents available online at the FBI Vault website.

By 2005, Bill Clinton boasted in the paperback edition of his book on page 958 that he spent time since January 2001: "building my library in Arkansas and my foundation in Harlem."

But hard facts suggest otherwise.

Documents available in Arkansas and on the Clinton Foundation website prove that the original entity The William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation operated from 23 October 1997 through 22 December 1997 without adopting Bylaws, in violation of Arkansas state law. This is not a minor, technical matter.

The crucial organizing document makes clear that the original nonprofit corporation was intended to be a public charity. Public charities must formally exist and cannot be governed by one family or used to raise sums from corrupt donors looking to purchase influence.

So how, for example, did Bill and Hillary Clinton select a specific site for "their" foundation in Arkansas on Nov. 7, 1997 as a C-SPAN interview of Skip Rutherford (first president of Clinton Foundation) claims? Bill did not become a trustee or director of any Clinton charity until 2009, while Hillary waited until 2013.

Majority of voters think Biden has used his political career to enrich his family and friends

A majority of U.S. voters say former Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has used his decades-long political career to enrich his family and close friends, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

When asked, 57% of voters said it was either "somewhat" or "very" likely that Biden's inner circle has profited from his nearly 50-years-long career in public office, which includes the elected positions of U.S senator and vice president. Just 28% said they doubted such profiting.

Noting parallels between Biden and 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, Rasmussen said: "In 2016, the Clinton campaign acted as if all they had to do to win was point out the ethical failings of Donald Trump. They failed to see the reality that many voters also saw Clinton as fundamentally corrupt. In fact, the baseline view for many voters is that ALL politicians are corrupt."

"Studies after Election 2016 showed that Trump spoke more about issues than Clinton did," he continued. "And that helped him win. This year, it will be more challenging for the president because he has a record to defend. But Biden will make a significant mistake if he fails to recognize that voters see this as an elections between two politicians with ethical challenges."

The survey of 1,200 Registered Voters was conducted by Rasmussen using a mixed mode approach from September 24-26, 2020.

National Guard Readies for Possible Unrest in Cleveland Ahead of Presidential Debate

National Guard members were seen in the streets of Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday, ready to help quell potential unrest ahead of the first presidential debate.

“More than 300 guard members were ordered into the city on a proclamation by Gov. Mike DeWine to’ensure a safe and secure environment’ during the debate,” according to the New York Post.

After receiving a formal request from Cleveland officials last night, I am issuing a proclamation today that activates around 300 @OHNationalGuard members to help @CLEPolice ensure a safe and secure environment for those attending Tuesday’s presidential debate in Cleveland.

Many of the guard members were activated Monday, and photos on Cleveland.com showed camouflaged Humvees driving through the streets.

“The area around Cleveland Clinic, the site of Tuesday night’s 90-minute debate, was also sealed off by a ring of tall iron fences,” the Post report said.

Businesses and other buildings in the area also took precautions to brace for possible vandalism and rioting, according to the Cleveland.com article.

“Villa shoe store at the corner of East 79th Street and Euclid Avenue was one of the most prominent buildings near the Clinic to board up its windows, shades of downtown Cleveland which saw some business looting after the May 30 George Floyd protests downtown,” the report stated.

In addition to the Ohio National Guard, the Secret Service and the FBI will provide security throughout the debate, according to News 5 Cleveland.

“What May 30 taught us is that peaceful protests can go in a different direction in a short period of time,” Special Agent in Charge with the Cleveland FBI Eric Smith told the outlet.

During a Facebook teleconference, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson said officials expected protesters to descend on the city, and Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams asked residents to alert law enforcement if they see anything suspicious.

“There are a lot of things that we’ve learned not just from May 30 but the subsequent protests around the country that we have incorporated into our plan itself,” Williams said.

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace will host the presidential debate scheduled to being Tuesday night at nine p.m. EDT, according to UPI.

“Wallace has selected six topics for the debate — the COVID-19 pandemic, race and violence in U.S. cities, the Supreme Court, the integrity of the election, Trump’s and Biden’s records and the economy,” the report said.

The Clinton campaign discussed assembling a “swift boat project” earlier this year to undermine Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, according to newly released emails from WikiLeaks.

In a Feb. 26, 2016, exchange involving Democratic strategist Joel Johnson, as well as Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri and chairman John Podesta, assembling a group to destroy Trump was discussed.

“I know you can’t look past Bernie and March primaries — but who is in charge of the Trump swift boat project?” Johnson asked in an email to Palmieri, according to the hacked emails.

“Needs to be ready, funded and unleashed when we decide — but not a half assed scramble,” Johnson added.

“Gee. Thanks, Joel,” Palmieri responded a minute later.

“We thought we could half-ass it. Let’s discuss,” she added.

Johnson responded, “Sorry. I’ve been behind too many curtains in my day…”

It’s unclear precisely what measures may have been taken as a result of the conversation — or what was under way prior to the email exchange.

ASSANGE HEARING DAY SIXTEEN–Anonymous Witnesses to Detail Alleged CIA Plot to Kill Assange

2:30 pm EDT: Judge Vanessa Baraitser has granted anonymity to two witness from the UC Global Spanish security firm to have their testimony read in court on Thursday regarding an alleged Central Intelligence Agency plot to either kidnap or poison Julian Assange.

The two witnesses have already testified under protection in a Spanish court case against David Morales, founder and director of UC Global. The company was hired by the Ecuadorian government to provide security at its London embassy, where Assange lived for seven years until his arrest last year.

According to press reports the witnesses testimony detailed how Morales was working with “American friends,” allegedly the CIA, to stream 24/7 video and audio from Assange’s chamber to the United States, including surveillance of Assange’s privileged conversations with his lawyers.

That would mean the government prosecuting Assange had eavesdropped on his defense preparations, an offense that would normally get its case thrown out of court.

The Spanish witnesses sought the same protection from Baraitser’s court that they enjoy in the Spanish court because of fear of retaliation from Morales. Spanish police raided his home and found loaded arms with their serial numbers filed off.

James Lewis QC, representing the U.S. government told the court he could not get instructions from the Department of Justice on whether to challenge the testimony on Thursday because of a “Chinese Wall” that is supposed to be between the DOJ and other federal agencies, such as the CIA, to prevent prosecutions from being politically motivated. (It is a a wall that has holes. We’ve heard testimony in this case about that).

So there is the specter of damning testimony being read in Assange’s extradition case about the Central Intelligence Agency planning to kidnap or poison Assange that will go unchallenged by the U.S. The prosecution will be informed of the witnesses’ identities and has 24 hours to vet the witnesses.

Thursday should be the most explosive and perhaps most decisive day during this proceeding.

8:10 am EDT: Just before lunch break the defense said it wanted to call anonymous witnesses. Judge Vanessa Baraitser said she would determine whether to accept anonymity when the court resumes.

In the morning session, Maureen Baird, former warden at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in Manhattan, testified that she believes Assange would be put in isolation under Special Administrative Measures (SAMs) both pre-trial in Alexander Detention Center and if Assange is convicted, in ADX Florence, Colorado.

Which Drugs Should Biden Take Pre-Debate?

With the first presidential debate now just hours away, President Trump continues to insist that Joe Biden take a drug test. Trump’s none-too-subtle insinuation is that the former vice president is so mentally frail that he cannot hope to match the vaulting intellect of the 45th president of the United States on the debate stage.

It’s a peculiar form of Trumpian baiting - something the President has probably learned from the world of Mixed Martial Arts - or perhaps the product of a guilty conscience. Trump himself famously sniffed his way through his first debate with Hillary Clinton four years ago, and there’s been plenty of speculation over the years that the President consumes medicinal substances to combat some form of attention-deficit disorder.

Cockburn won’t weigh in on the specifics. But if Biden were to use drugs for tonight’s performance, which ones should he take? Because make no mistake, Biden should absolutely be taking drugs prior to Tuesday’s debate.

Pro athletes all take performance enhancing drugs, after all, and winning a presidential election is at least as important as hitting 40 home runs or making the Pro Bowl, or something.

Fortunately, Cockburn is a writer, which means he has countless friends who are perpetually in one sort of drug-induced haze or another. They quickly supplied suggestions.

1. Aricept

Aricept is used to enhance mental acuity in patients suffering from Alzheimer’s or vascular dementia. That will certainly be handy for keeping Biden from drooling on the podium. However, Aricept also has the side effect of increasing libido, and has been found to correlate with inappropriate sexual behaviors in those who take it.

2. Fentanyl

This may seem like an odd choice. Fentanyl causes mood swings, irritation and heart failure — and the last thing Joe Biden needs is to fall asleep on stage. It would be an interesting statement in favor of globalization, however, since most Fentanyl is synthesized by our friends in China. And what better way for Biden to exhibit his legendary ‘empathy’ than by showing America’s opioid addicts that he knows what it’s like?

3. Ecstasy

Arriving Tuesday night amped on MDMA would offer a host of benefits to Biden. Besides keeping him cheerful and upbeat for the cameras, if Biden is caught, he can easily pivot in a positive direction: by taking a party drug, he will disavow one of his tough-on-crime achievements, the 2003 RAVE Act. Cockburn doesn’t understand how contributing to the dramatic collapse of crime rates nationwide is a bad thing, but in 2020 everybody is convinced that it is. Biden debating while hopped upon Molly would go a long way toward showing his remorse. ‘Loved-up’, Biden would also show a winning spirit of magnanimity towards Donald Trump, which might help sway independents.

Finally, for years Biden was known as the ‘senator from MBNA’ due to his pro-credit card activism in Congress. If he rebrands as the senator on MDMA, at the least everyone will be really confused.

4. Steroids

It’s not well-known, but then-Sen. Biden also played a key role in banning the recreational use of anabolic steroids. It’s time for Biden’s position to evolve. Putting on 10-20 pounds of lean muscle mass will alleviate concerns about Biden looking old and frail, while also providing a leg up if he and Trump decide to settle their differences through personal combat instead of rhetoric.

The Nxivm-5 – Nicki Clyne, Michele Hatchette, Suneel Chakravorty, Marc Elliot, and Eduardo Asunsolo, AKA ‘We Are the Forgotten Ones, AKA ‘Make Justice Blind’ –appeared on CBS This Morning with Nikki Batiste.

This is the same group that has announced they “suspect” the prosecutors of criminal conduct in their prosecution of their master Keith Alan Raniere. They have presented prosecutors with what they call an “affidavit” (it’s really a questionnaire) requiring them to swear that they did not commit prosecutorial misconduct, tamper with evidence or intimidate witnesses – and have demanded the prosecutors individually fill these documents out and return them by Wednesday.

The prosecutors are not under any legal obligation to comply with the request.

This appearance by the Nxivm-5 is part of the campaign to excite public interest in their movement to “expose” the alleged malicious prosecution of Raniere and to make arguments that he is innocent.

The gist of their argument in this interview seems to be that the prosecution used Keith’s sex life to prejudice the jury and dirty him up, which as Michele said “is nobody’s business.”

They declined to answer.

McMaster: Strategic competitors probably view the US as ‘weak’

Strategic adversaries of the U.S. likely view the country as “weak,” according to former White House National Security Adviser and retired Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster.

“I think they view us as weak at the moment, right? Because they see us in the midst of now, today especially, a triple-crisis,” McMaster said during a Washington Post virtual event on Tuesday. “A crisis of the pandemic, a recession associated with the pandemic, and the social divisions laid bare by the murder of George Floyd…and then this vitriolitc partisan discourse where we’re at each other’s throats.”

In particular, McMaster said China is inclined to view the U.S. through such a lens, noting that Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely surrounded by those feeding him information he wants to hear.

“I think what he’s hearing is ‘Hey, you’re on top, you’re winning. Look how weak they are. We’re emerging, we’re first out of this pandemic economically. Now is the time to act.’ And you see that with this very aggressive action on the part of the Chinese Communist Party,” McMaster said.

Specifically, he pointed to increased aggression from China in the South China Sea, and actions China has taken aimed at Taiwan.

McMaster’s comments come as he is promoting his new book, “Battlegrounds: The Fight to Defend the Free World” that was released this month. The book examines U.S. foreign policy and ways the U.S. can better safeguard itself against threats, according to HarperCollins. Likewise, it chronicles his time serving in the Army and the White House.

As a result, McMaster addressed a series of national security and foreign policy issues facing the U.S. at the moment during his interview with the Washington Post.

For example, and argued that the U.S. has “set up the Afghan government for more difficulty” by trying to work with the Taliban. That’s why he’s not optimistic about ongoing peace negotiations between the Taliban and Afghan government in Doha, Qatar that launched this month.

Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard invoked the ire of her own base for siding with the conservative news organization Project Veritas, over claims of alleged ballot-harvesting voter fraud linked to Representative Ilhan Omar.

Gabbard tweeted on Monday that the allegations against Omar made by the investigative undercover news group were “further evidence of the need to ban ballot harvesting.” Such practice is also called ‘ballot collecting’ and involves third parties gathering mail-in ballots and delivering them to election officials. It is legal in some states, and is aimed at helping physically impaired voters. In Minnesota, Omar's home state, one can have no more than three ballots, though the congresswoman allegedly paid her supporters to 'harvest' dozens, according to a Project Veritas interview with a purported community activist. Omar has denied that man had ever worked for her, refuting the claims.

Until now, practically all of the leaks about the anti-trust group gestating inside the DoJ and FTC have focused on big tech. But in an unexpected pivot, Bloomberg just reported that regulators are investigating the different data pricing packages sold by the exchanges to wire services like Bloomberg - along with High Frequency Traders who use the data to employ HFT strategies that rack up steady profits by inserting the "market makers" in between more trades.

Makan Delrahim, who heads the Justice Department’s antitrust division, said in an interview that he’s paying close attention to the data that securities exchanges sell to banks and investment companies. Market participants have long complained that the prices they pay to acquire the data they depend on to trade are too steep.

Delrahim said that one area of potential concern is whether the exchanges are using market power to hurt competition, for example by forcing investors to buy other products or services in addition to the data feeds, a practice known as tying. He declined to comment on whether the division has opened a formal investigation related to the data feeds.

Bloomberg reported that Bloomberg News (one of the subsidiaries of Bloomberg LP) is among the companies that have contested increases in pricing for the different packages offered by the exchanges.

In recent years, the business models of the world's financial exchanges, which facilitate trading in financial markets from stocks to commodity futures, has pivoted to rely more on these lucrative data subscriptions, and less on the actual trading fees, which have been squeezed by years of consolidation and intensifying competition. And in a world where every nanosecond of frontrunning the orderflow data latency matters, exchanges can charge an arm and a leg, and there will always be a highest HFT bidder willing to pay the price if it means guaranteed and legal "information arbitrage."

The financial market data peddled by these exchanges provides the world with the view of the financial markets reflected everywhere from CNBC to Google Finance to the Bloomberg terminals and Reuters Eikon platforms used by financial professionals. Of course, different pricing arrangements provide different data with varying levels of delay.

'Everything he says is false,' NBC News quoted CDC Director Robert Redfield as saying of Atlas. That's just not true, top epidemiologists told The Federalist.

“Dr. Scott Atlas is arming Trump with misleading data” about COVID-19, Centers for Disease Control Director Dr. Robert Redfield told a colleague Friday, according to a Monday report by NBC News political reporter Monica Alba.

Within hours, numerous outlets ideologically allied with NBC amplified the coverage. Here are some screenshots of the Google News results for the story just a short while later, but is Redfield’s assertion correct? The Federalist spoke to numerous epidemiologists to find out.

“Everything he says is false,” NBC News quoted Redfield as saying of Atlas’s coronavirus recommendations. That’s just not true, top epidemiologists told The Federalist.

“Dr. Redfield is a prominent and respected scientist, so I respect his opinion, but I don’t know what he’s thinking,” said Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharya, an epidemiologist and medical professor at Stanford University, in response to the NBC story. Bhattacharya has advised public officials including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on COVID-19 response. “I think the evidence is more strongly with Dr. Atlas,” he continued.

In an interview, Atlas said the constant media characterization of President Trump’s coronavirus response as detached from scientific expertise is “completely false.” He said the president’s policies are informed by infectious disease experts from the world’s top medical and research institutions, including Bhattacharya and John Ioannidis of Stanford University Medical Center, Martin Kulldorff and Katherine Yih of Harvard Medical School, and Sunetra Gupta and Carl Heneghan of Oxford University.

“The extreme comments that have been reported are an attempt to delegitimize me and undermine the president of the United States,” Atlas said, not a dispassionate, science-based position. “There can be different opinions about scientific evidence, but to say I’m citing false information is a lie,” he said later.

Scientific and public understanding of the disease has “changed dramatically” in the past nine months, Bhattacharya noted in an interview. Now we know COVID-19’s dangers are far lower than previously believed, such that if 1,000 people are infected with the virus, between 997 and 998 will survive, he said.

Atlas is known for pushing back on coronavirus panic with scientific evidence, including in his view that quarantines should target the vulnerable and infected rather than the healthy, the historic norm. He has been personally and professionally targeted as a result. Just two weeks ago, YouTube banned a video of Atlas talking about coronavirus, claiming it violated their terms of service.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi met for 50 minutes on Tuesday to discuss the prospects of another coronavirus relief bill. House Democrats released details of their $2.2 trillion dollar proposal for pandemic relief that’s loaded with benefits that should please both sides.

The House bill would:

Reinstate the $600 per week enhanced unemployment benefit through January

Send a second $1,200 direct payment to most Americans

Give $436 billion in relief over one year to state and local governments

Authorize more money for a second round of Paycheck Protection Program loans for the hardest-hit businesses and industries

Send $25 billion to airlines to cover payroll costs

Inject $75 billion into Covid-19 testing and contact tracing efforts

Put $225 billion into education and $57 billion into child care

Set aside billions for rental and mortgage assistance

The key sticking points for Republicans are the enhanced unemployment benefits and aid to state and local governments. Democrats would object to bailing out the airline industry and claim that the proposal doesn’t go far enough in helping to keep homeowners and renters in their residences.

Republicans, especially, think the stimulus bill, which would add to the federal deficit, should be far more modest. Democrats want more, more, more for everyone. The question becomes are there enough areas of general agreement that a deal could be struck before the congressional recess?

The push to rejuvenate stimulus talks follows growing doubts about Congress’ ability to approve another aid package before the Nov. 3 election, when both parties will try to at least keep control of a chamber of Congress. Political considerations played a huge role in the discussions, even before the Senate started wrestling over whether to confirm President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett before the election.

Many Republicans have expressed concerns about adding to the trillions the U.S. has already spent to fight the pandemic and ensuing economic damage. The GOP-held Senate tried to pass a roughly $500 billion aid plan earlier this month, but Democrats blocked it, calling the bill inadequate.

The level of distrust between the two sides probably dooms any effort at compromise.

The Hill:

“Our conversation was a positive one,” Pelosi said in an interview with MSNBC. “We’ll get back together tomorrow to see how we can find common ground.”

Yet moments before, Larry Kudlow, White House senior economic advisor, had rejected the Democrats’ most recent offer of $2.2 trillion, warning that it could actually creep higher than advertised.

“We don’t think the numbers are right — 2.2 trillion — which is a very big number,” Kudlow told CNBC. “There’s some leftover spending that’s not included there and some tax cuts that are repealed. It might come to 2.6 trillion.”

Kudlow is talking about the nearly $100 billion that states haven’t spent yet that was in the CARES Act passed last April. That $2 trillion package has yet to work its way entirely through the economy and economists like Kudlow want to see the effect before committing to another multi-trillion-dollar relief bill.

But the president has the final say and he may modify some of his demands to accommodate Democrats’ wishes. Would enough Senate Republicans follow his lead to pass a bipartisan bill?

Given the stakes for the president and vulnerable GOP senators, I wouldn’t rule it out.

Newsom signs bill designed to add more people of color on California juries

California will soon draw juries from a larger group of people who are more reflective of the state’s population as a whole, including people of color and low-income residents.

Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday signed SB592, expanding California’s pool of prospective jurors by drawing candidates from among everyone who files income tax returns.

California now draws courtroom panels that decide criminal cases and lawsuits primarily from residents who are registered to vote or have a driver’s license or identification card from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Supporters of the bill say people of color and poorer residents are less likely to register to vote or drive a car, leaving the pool overstocked with white jurors who are better-off financially.

State Sen. Scott Wiener, the San Francisco Democrat who carried the bill, said the measure will ensure that juries look more like the people who live in the state.

“One of the most fundamental constitutional rights is the right to a trial by a jury of one’s peers,” Wiener said in a statement. “Sadly, California juries are whiter and wealthier than the community as a whole, due to the way we draw jury pools.”

Wiener said the state’s tax-filing database includes a broader group of residents, including those who claim the earned-income tax credit, an assistance program for low-income filers.

In contrast, voter-registration rolls can be less representative of people of color. For example, 56% of eligible Latinos do not register to vote, compared with 22% of eligible white people, according to a March report by the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California.

Similarly, 64% of people who earn less than $40,000 a year do not register to vote, compared with 18% for those who earn twice that amount, the institute’s report said.

Under the bill, courts will still use voter registration rolls and DMV records in addition to state taxpayer data in calling potential jurors. The new law takes effect Jan. 1.

SB529 is one of several criminal-justice reform measures that legislators have passed since George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis police officer in May, igniting national protests over racial inequality. The bill had no formal opposition.

Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday announced the appointment of Crown Prince Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as Emir of the State of Kuwait succeeding Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah who passed away today, according to the Kuwaiti News Agency.

“Mourning was declared for 40 days after the demise of Amir of the country,” the agency also reported.

Earlier, the Royal Court announced in a statement the death of Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.

Al-Sabah is the fifteenth Emir of Kuwait who took office in 2006.

Nearly 100,000 Brooklyn Voters Got Wrong Ballot Return Envelopes

The New York City Board of Elections on Tuesday admitted that nearly 100,000 Brooklyn voters received absentee ballot return envelopes with the wrong address and names labeled on them.

CNN reports:

Valerie Vazquez-Diaz, a spokesperson for the board, told CNN the issue affected 99,477 voters. She blamed a third-party vendor, Phoenix Graphics, which had been contracted to print and mail the ballots to voters in Brooklyn and Queens. CNN has reached out to the company for comment.

Michael Ryan, the election board’s executive director, said at a meeting on Tuesday afternoon that the city has ordered the vendor to remail new ballots “to make certain that absolutely no disenfranchisement occurs in the borough of Brooklyn.”

The development follows a New York Post report revealing that Queens voters received mail-in ballots marked for military use despite having not served in the armed forces.

“There’s just mass confusion about these ballots and what people are supposed to do with them,” Democrat Van Bramer said in an interview with the Post. “People were already not trusting this process and they were already not trusting the Board of Elections to count the ballot right.”

“This apparent typo just has everyone confused and believing these are invalid ballots,” he added. “It’s absolutely outrageous that when everyone is watching them, they still screw up the most basic thing, which is printing the ballot correctly.”

Last week, Virginia Republican officials said 1,400 voters in the state had two absentee ballots mailed to them.

“We knew the Democrats’ many last-minute changes to our election law would make our elections less secure, but no one could imagine voters receiving two ballots,” Virginia Republican Party chairman Rich Anderson said in a statement.

The New York Stock Exchange has set a reference price of $7.25 for the direct listing of Palantir Technologies Inc., the data mining company co-founded by technology billionaire Peter Thiel.

Schiff subpoenas Homeland Security, charges 'unlawful obstruction'

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) issued two subpoenas to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Tuesday, alleging that agency officials are "unlawfully obstructing" his panel's investigation related to a whistleblower complaint.

Schiff is seeking public testimony from Joseph Maher, the top official carrying out the duties of the under secretary for the Office of Intelligence and Analysis, related to charges from a whistleblower that top political appointees at the department sought to politicize intelligence.

“After weeks, and in some cases months, of attempted accommodation with the Department, we were left with no choice but to issue two subpoenas today," Schiff said in a statement.

“Simply put, the Committee will no longer tolerate the obstruction and attempts to run out the clock by the Department," Schiff added.

Democrats want Maher to testify Friday about why the whistleblower, Brian Murphy, was not granted access to classified records related to his complaint.

Schiff also issued a subpoena to compel DHS to produce the records the panel is seeking by next Tuesday.

The subpoenas come after Schiff twice postponed scheduled depositions with Murphy, who was formerly the acting under secretary for the Office of Intelligence and Analysis.

Murphy's legal team said it had not received access to documents related to his complaint, which detailed allegations that top department officials repeatedly sought to politicize intelligence to match President Trump’s public remarks, including about threats like Russian interference.

Murphy alleges in his complaint that there was a pattern of misconduct in which top political appointees repeatedly pressed him to modify or alter intelligence on key issues.

Perhaps the most alarming allegation Murphy makes is his claim that acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf, under the direction of White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien, instructed him earlier this year to stop producing intelligence reports centered on Russian interference efforts and instead focus on the threats posed by China and Iran.

Navy SEALs remove terms like 'brotherhood' from ethos to be more gender-neutral

The changes were made but no women have completed the 'SEAL or SWCC qualification training'

The U.S. Navy SEALs and the Navy Special Warfare Combat-craft Crewman have removed so-called gendered terms like "brotherhood" from their ethos and creed statements in an effort to present the Navy as gender-neutral.

Another change made to the SEAL ethos was to alter the words "A common man with uncommon desire to succeed" to "Common citizens with uncommon desire to succeed."

The changes were made to comply with changes in the law allowing women to serve in the SEALs and SWCC, a spokesman for Naval Special Warfare told American Military News.

"Naval Special Warfare continues to deliberately develop a culture of tactical and ethical excellence that reflects the nation we represent, and that draws upon the talents of the all-volunteer force who meet the standards of qualification as a SEAL or SWCC," Lt. Cmdr. Matthew Stroup said.

"The previous versions of the SEAL Ethos and SWCC Creed were written prior to the law allowing women to serve as operators in Naval Special Warfare," Stroup continued. "The changes do not in any way reflect lowering standards of entry, rather they ensure that all those who meet the requirements to train to become a SEAL or SWCC are represented in the ethos or creed they live out. This improves the posture of the NSW force by ensuring we draw from the greatest pool of talent available."

"To date, no women completed the SEAL or SWCC qualification training pipelines," he added.

The new SEAL ethos can be found on the official website for the Naval Special Warfare Command. American Military News provided a link to an archived version of the ethos containing the original language.

Another alteration to the first paragraph changes the phrase "I am that man" to "I am that warrior."

In the fourth paragraph, the sentence, "The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men" is changed to "The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from others" in the new version of the SEAL ethos.

In the final paragraph of the ethos statement, the prior sentence states, "Brave men have fought and died building the proud tradition and feared reputation that I am bound to uphold." The sentence is now changed with the reference to "Brave men" changed to "Brave SEALs."

The memo also calls for the SWCC creed to change the term "Brotherhood" in the first paragraph to "group of maritime warriors." Additionally, the memo states the sentence "I challenge my brothers to perform, as I expect them to challenge me" is to be changed to "I challenge them to perform, as I expect them to challenge me."

American Military News also provided links to the new version of the SWCC creed and compared it to a copy of the older version without the gender-neutral changes from the U.S. Special Operations Command website.

"The changes come despite the fact that there have been no women to successfully complete SEAL or SWCC training and enter the elite units," American Military News reports.

Retired SEAL Eddie Gallagher, who was pardoned by President Trump of one war crime conviction and acquitted of other serious charges, blasted the changes to the SEALs creed in an Instagram post Friday.

Mook suggests Russians leaked DNC emails to help Trump

Hillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook suggested Sunday that internal DNC emails leaked last week were an effort from the Russians to help Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“What’s disturbing to us is that experts are telling us Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, and other experts are now saying that the Russians are releasing these emails for the purpose of actually of helping Donald Trump,” Mook said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“I don’t think it’s coincidental that these emails were released on the eve of our convention.”

Mook did not provide evidence that the Russians were trying to help Trump when pressed by CNN’s Jake Tapper to back up his charges, instead falling back on what “experts” were saying.

“This isn’t my assertion — there are a number of experts that are asserting this,” Mook said. “I think we need to get to the bottom of these facts. But that’s what experts are telling us. Experts are telling us it is, in fact, the Russians who hacked these emails.”

Last month, it was publicly revealed that Russian government hackers had broken into the Democratic National Committee computer servers, which contained opposition research on Trump. The DNC emails released by WikiLeaks on Friday showed DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and other DNC staffers being critical of the Bernie Sanders campaign.

The Clinton campaign and Democrats have gone after Trump for his praise of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, a line of criticism that was amplified this past week when Trump suggested he might not honor NATO’s commitments to defend Eastern European allies attacked by Russia, if they didn’t make sufficient financial contributions to the alliance.

Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort dismissed Mook’s comments on Sunday, telling ABC’s “This Week” that it was “pure obfuscation on the part of the Clinton campaign.”

“What they don’t want to talk about is what’s in those emails,” Manafort said.

Later, Trump's campaign issued an official response.

"What a joke. This shows that Hillary Clinton will do and say anything to win the election and hold onto power in the rigged system," said Jason Miller, the campaign's senior communications adviser.

According to the Gateway Pundit, Trump observers are being denied entry to the satellite voting locations across the city, according to Mike Roman, an election official for the Trump Campaign.

Now, whether she personally signed off on a particular July 26 aspect of the op may be undetermined, but that's not the point. Russia BELIEVED HRC to be running the collusion smear and SHE/DNC WERE RUNNING THAT OP. The latter isn't even remotely in dispute.
