On Monday, former NFL star and Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker suggested strict penalties that migrating rioters and looters should face.

“I’ve watched a lot of these beautiful cities being destroyed by people rioting, and I saw all these local leaders that won’t step to the plate to protect their citizens or their citizens’ businesses,” Walker said Monday in a video he posted to Twitter. “So I’m going to step up to the plate and become a local leader in a sense that I want to put in a mandate that anyone arrested during a riot and they’re not from that city, they don’t have a resident in that city or that town, should be arrested and get federal time.”

MoveOn, left-wing groups gear up for 'mass public unrest' after Election Day

Groups reportedly planning large-scale civil disobedience if Trump, supporters contest election results

An association of left-wing organizations is currently planning out strategies for what they believe would be a political dogfight should Joe Biden win November's election by a small margin. The group, comprised of more than 50 groups, including MoveOn, Color of Change and the American Federation of Teachers, calls itself the Fight Back Table and recently launched their Democracy Defense Nerve Center. According to the Daily Beast, members of the group held a Zoom call last week in which they discussed how they can plan for Election Day and then coordinate large-scale civil disobedience and what one participant called "mass public unrest" if – as they predict – President Trump and his supporters contest November's election results. "It is very obvious that Trump is laying the groundwork for claiming victory no matter what,” said MoveOn executive director Rahna Epting, who participated in the call. One person familiar with the discussions told the Beast that they are worried about right-wing extremists taking action on Election Day, going so far as to warn that armed groups or individuals inspired by Kyle Rittenhouse could show up to intimidate voters. "I don't know what the strategy is when armed right-wing militia dudes show up in polling places," the individual told the Beast. "This [Kyle] Rittenhouse guy is being lionized on the right, right now. If it is being unleashed that you can shoot people and be a hero, I don't know what preparation we can possibly do for that." One of the key goals of the discussion was reportedly to figure out how they can "occupy s–t, hold space and shut things down, not just on Election Day but for weeks," the same person said.

Georgetown University law professor Rosa Brooks, who co-founded the Transition Integrity Project, said she thinks this sort of strategizing should have started much sooner. "I wish we were having these conversations six months ago," Brooks told the Beast. Her project included running simulations of possible election scenarios and their respective aftermaths. In one such simulation, the Beast reported, Biden's camp "encouraged Western states, particularly California but also Oregon and Washington, and collectively known as 'Cascadia,' to secede from the Union'" unless Trump and Republicans agreed to various demands. Those demands include granting statehood to Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., eliminating the Electoral College, and breaking California into five states in order to increase their number of senators. During their Zoom call, the Fight Back Table reportedly discussed the Transition Integrity Project's report, which claims that despite the above secession situation, Trump's team would be "consistently more ruthless than Team Biden." The report said that in some simulations, the project examined what would happen if the president classifies documents or freezes opponents' assets for political purposes, uses operatives to stoke violence, or even uses the military to "confiscate 'fraudulent' ballots." Trump, meanwhile, has been claiming that it is the Democrats who plan on using nefarious means to gain control of the White House. He has long claimed that the election would be "rigged" because of large-scale mail-in voting, particularly as some states are sending ballots to everyone on their voter rolls, whether they are still eligible to vote or not. Other states are permitting absentee ballots, which President Trump has supported because it requires individuals to submit applications first.

Hate crime charges announced for women arrested in connection to MAGA hat theft outside Wilmington DNC

Two women charged with stealing a Make America Great Again hat from a boy seated outside the Democratic National Convention in Wilmington have had their charges upgraded to hate crimes, the Delaware Department of Justice announced Tuesday.

According to DOJ officials, Camryn Amy and Olivia Winslow, both 21, were seen on video taking a MAGA hat off the ground in the 600 block of Justison Street outside Iron Hill Brewery, near the Chase Center on the Riverfront where the DNC was being virtually hosted on August 20, 2020.

“Violence in any form is unacceptable, but harming another person — let alone a child — because of the expression of their views betrays the principles on which our country was founded," said Attorney General Kathy Jennings. "Free speech, free assembly, and free expression are sacred, no matter whether we agree with the opinions expressed, and especially when we don’t. That is as true today as it was when the Bill of Rights was ratified. Our Division of Civil Rights and Public Trust will continue to defend everyone's fundamental rights.”

The DOJ clarified each committed or attempted to commit the crimes of robbery, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child with the purpose of interfering with the victim's free exercise or enjoyment of any right, privilege, or immunity protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, or because the victim had "exercised or enjoyed said right or rights."

Each woman has been charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, and endangering the welfare of a child. Amy was additionally charged with third-degree assault, third-degree attempted assault, and offensive touching.

“It’s Time for ‘Republicans and Independents for Biden’,” former New Jersey Governor Rhino Christine Todd Whitman claims in a Thursday Inside Sources opinion piece.;

Joe Biden is “a decent man”? According to Whitman, he’s more than that.

“Joe Biden wants to be a president for all Americans,” Whitman lies.

Of course, he does not. He does not want to be a president for Americans who oppose new taxes. He does not want to be a president for Americans who believe in the sanctity of the lives of the unborn. He does not want to be a president for Americans who see, and don’t agree with, the inevitable tyrannical cultural shifts enabled by uncontrolled “immigration” with a “Day One pathway to citizenship.” And he does not want to be a president for Americans who believe unbendingly in the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

Not only does Joe Biden threaten to eviscerate all those interests, if elected, he will make sure judges are appointed to the Supreme Court and at all levels within the federal court system to reverse gains gun owners have made to date and to uphold new infringements. As far as political and “legal” means of redress go, it will be “Game over” for the Second Amendment, leaving the only options to be “Surrender or resist.”

Not that Whitman minds. Despite hollowly crowing about her “Republican” credentials and connections, she has always been part of the establishment swamp and has been betraying gun owner interests for decades.

“In 1993, gun owners once again presented intense opposition to entrenched Governor Florio, electing Christine Whitman on her promise to legislatively review the 1990 gun ban, and to support the 2nd Amendment rights of law-abiding firearms owners,” Gun Owners of America noted. “Gun owners contributed massive campaigning efforts on behalf of Whitman, including phone banks, fax networks, donations, and personal sacrifice well beyond any other group.”

Flag ban suspended right before the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, ordered the Turnpike Authority to reverse its decision to take down U.S. flags after massive public outcry ahead of the 9/11 anniversary.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority announced that it would no longer allow residents to hang the flags on overpasses and other public edifices after the agency explained that it could not continue maintaining the flags.

"The long-standing policy of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority has been to prohibit the display of any flags, signs, or banners by private parties on Turnpike Authority property. While we appreciate the desire of some New Jersey residents to express their patriotism in these turbulent times by displaying flags on Turnpike and Parkway overpasses, Turnpike Authority regulations do not allow it, and for good reason," the Turnpike Authority said in a statement on Facebook.

'We should be proud of flying our flag'

After residents and veterans groups objected loudly to the order, Murphy relented on Tuesday.

"I don't like it," said Murphy when asked about it on a morning talk show at WPG radio. "Our flag represents the greatest nation in the history of the world, and that doesn't mean we're perfect, because we're not, but we are a great nation, and my gut tells me that we should be proud of flying our flag."

Murphy said that he had not heard of the issue before he was asked about it on the radio show. Later at a coronavirus update briefing, he said that the flag ban had been suspended, even if only temporarily.

"At least for the time being, the Turnpike Authority has suspended that," he said.

Many of the flags were put up after the Islamic terrorist attacks on 9/11 and had been maintained by residents and other groups for nearly 20 years. One town had planned to defy the transit order and replace the flags in a ceremony with the mayor's approval on September 11.

Trump Suggests Using Unspent COVID-19 Relief Funds For Stimulus Checks

President Donald Trump recently suggested using $300 billion in COVID-19 relief funds for more direct payments for Americans.

"We have $300 billion in an account that we didn't use. I would be willing to release it, subject to Congress, and use that as stimulus money and it would go right to the American people," Trump said Friday at a White House press conference. “We’re willing to spend it, I’d like to get approval from Congress. There’s a theory that I don’t have to do that, but I’d rather be up front and I’d like to get approval from Congress.”

Trump is likely referring to unspent business loan money that had been approved under the $2.2 trillion CARES Act signed in March. The Economic Policy Institute has estimated that the first round of $1,200 payments cost around $300 billion.

There is broad bipartisan support for another stimulus check. A recent Gallup survey found 82% of Democrats support another round of checks, along with 64% of Republicans and 66% of independents.

Some analysts have been critical of another stimulus check, as the federal government would give money to many Americans who still have full-time employment. A June op-ed from the Washington Post editorial board suggests that the payments would not be an effective stimulus as “many recipients will treat a second payment as a one-shot windfall to be saved, just as they did with the first.”

Negotiations on another stimulus package are currently stalled on Capitol Hill. Senate Republicans are expected to vote on a trimmed-down coronavirus relief package this week, but the legislation does not include another round of direct payments.

Top US general rushes to defend Pentagon after Trump accuses it of colluding with weapon manufacturers to fight endless wars

Army Chief of Staff General James McConville has vehemently rejected Donald Trump’s comments alleging that the military’s top commanders wish to entangle the US in as many wars as possible in order to enrich weapon manufacturers.

“I can assure the American people that the senior leaders would only recommend sending our troops to combat when it is required in national security and in the last resort,” McConville, a Trump appointee, said during an online conference on Tuesday. “We take this very, very seriously in how we make our recommendations.”

The general added that many of the US commanders have sons and daughters that currently serve in the military and some of them “may be in combat right now.” The general declined to more directly respond to Trump’s allegations, saying the military should remain out of politics.

The Chief of Staff was referring to the highly publicized comments Trump made on Monday. The president said that “the top people in the Pentagon” might not be “in love” with him “because they want to do nothing but fight wars” to provide business for the US military-industrial complex.

During his 2016 campaign, Trump promised to end America’s “endless wars” as he often calls them. However, the long-time military bureaucrats he appointed to command publicly opposed Trump’s propositions to reduce US military presence in Afghanistan and Syria.

Pakistan seeks China’s support in corporate farming

Islamabad is seeking Beijing’s help in national food security through the inclusion of agriculture in the ambitious $61 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) program.

According to the Tribune Express, the cabinet of ministers said that support was being sought for corporate farming as well as joint farming. In March, during President Alvi’s visit to China, Islamabad and Beijing signed an agreement for enhanced bilateral cooperation in science and technology, as well as agriculture.

This week, the minister for national food security and research told the cabinet that his team was working on raising wheat productivity for which timely announcement of support price and availability of quality seed was crucial. He requested the prime minister direct provinces to keep an appropriate quantity of good quality wheat which will be used as seed.

The PM directed the food security minister to prepare short, medium, and long-term plans for achieving food security and enhancing crop productivity. He emphasized that a shortage of wheat could not be allowed in the country under any circumstances as it is a staple. Around 0.5 million tons of imported wheat will be available in the country in September, data showed.

China is Pakistan’s largest trading partner, and the CPEC project is expected to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries. It aims to improve Pakistani infrastructure, create nearly 700,000 new jobs, and add up to 2.5 percent to Pakistan’s annual growth rate.

The project has been called a game-changer for Pakistan because it will link China with markets in Central Asia and South Asia. It aims over 15 years to create an economic corridor between Pakistani Gwadar Port to China’s northwestern region of Xinjiang through a 2,700km highway from Kashgar to Gwadar, railway links for freight trains, oil and gas pipelines, and a fiber-optic link.

Daniel Andrews is facing calls to end the Melbourne’s curfew after he was thrown under the bus by his chief health officer in a shock interview.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is facing calls to end the state’s night-time curfew immediately, after it was revealed that the unprecedented restriction was not based on medical advice.

Chief health officer Brett Sutton dramatically threw Mr Andrews under the bus yesterday, making the explosive claim in an interview with 3AW’s Neil Mitchell.

Mitchell teed up Professor Sutton by asking if the Victorian Government had ever “introduced something without your advice, or against your advice”.

“No not against my advice, you know, the curfew came in as part of the state of disaster, for example, it wasn’t a state of emergency requirement,” Prof Sutton replied.

“So you know, that was something that was introduced, but it wasn’t something I was against from a public health perspective.”

At his daily press conference on Tuesday, Mr Andrews admitted that the curfew makes “the job of the Victoria Police much easier”.

He was grilled again on Wednesday, asked whose idea the curfew was.

“I can’t pinpoint the individual and the day, I can’t give you a specific person,” he said, again adding “it makes the job of police much easier”.

He added, “If you want to go out and be unlawful now police have got the easiest set of arrangements they have ever had to catch you and fine you. That’s what a curfew delivers.”

Hundreds of Victorians have been fined for curfew breaches since last month.

In large trials illnesses will happen by chance but must be independently reviewed to check this carefully,” the company said in a statement to CNBC. It said it was trying to expedite the review to “minimize any potential impact on the trial timeline.” “We are committed to the safety of our participants and the highest standards of conduct in our trials,” the company said.

A person familiar with the development said researchers were told the hold was placed on the trial out of “an abundance of caution” after a suspected serious adverse reaction in a participant in the United Kingdom, according to STAT News. It’s unclear how long the hold on the trial will last. AstraZeneca began its trial late last month and is one of three companies currently in late-stage testing for a potential vaccine. The other two are Pfizer and Moderna, which both began their trials in late July. The U.S. government announced May 21 that it would pay AstraZeneca up to $1.2 billion for its experimental vaccine developed alongside researchers at the University of Oxford. The U.S. will receive at least 300 million doses of the vaccine as part of its investment. AstraZeneca’s vaccine, called AZD1222, uses genetic material from the coronavirus with a modified adenovirus. It uses technologies that were used to make an experimental Ebola vaccine, which was provided to people in the Democratic Republic of Congo in late 2019.

In July, the company published data that showed its vaccine produced a promising immune response in an early stage trial. The vaccine was found to be well tolerated and there were no serious adverse events, according to the researchers at the time. Fatigue and headache were the most commonly reported side effects, they said. Other common side effects included pain at the injection site, muscle ache, chills and a fever. The development comes as polls suggest Americans are already concerned about the safety of potential coronavirus vaccines. According to a recent USA Today/Suffolk Poll, two-thirds of voters say they won’t get the coronavirus vaccine as soon as it becomes available.

Secretary of State Vows to Prosecute to the Fullest Extent of the Law After 1,000 People Double-Voted in Georgia Primary

Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said on Tuesday that more than 1,000 people double-voted in the June 9 primary.

1,000 voters in Georgia’s primary voted by absentee ballot and then later showed up to vote in person.

It is unclear if the double votes changed the outcome of any of the races.

Double voting is a felony that is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000 and Raffensperger vowed to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

“A double voter knows exactly what they’re doing, diluting the votes of each and every voter that follows the law,” Raffensperger said. “Those that make the choice to game the system are breaking the law. And as secretary of state, I will not tolerate it.”

The Secretary of State’s office is currently investigating and will hand the findings over to Georgia’s attorney general and DAs for prosecution.

Bags of mail were dumped in a parking lot in Glendale, California, last week, according to surveillance footage obtained by CNN.

The September 3 video shows a Budget rental vehicle backing into the lot of 7Q Spa Laser & Aesthetics. A person is seen exiting the vehicle and tossing numerous bags off the back of the truck into the lot. Minutes later, the person gets back into the vehicle and drives away &ndash; leaving the bags of mail in the lot.

"It was completely unusual," 7Q owner Lilia Serobian told CNN affiliate KCBS/KCAL. She said upon closer inspection of the bags, she noticed they were filled with hundreds of unopened envelopes and packages from the US Postal Service. "It's suspicious. You start thinking, 'OK, something is going on,' because no one has access to all those boxes and packages."

US Postal Service employees weren't involved in the dumping of bags, Omar Gonzalez, the Western Regional Coordinator for the American Postal Workers Union, told CNN.

"We talked to the Glendale supervisor and the Glendale manager and asked from where the contractors would have received the bags. That's when they responded, telling us the Union should not speak about it."

Before pandemic, feds funded human coronavirus experiments in 2019 in China

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) was funding experiments in China in 2019 that sought to assess the risk of dangerous coronaviruses jumping from bat populations into human beings — research conducted in a laboratory near the site of — and possibly around the time of — the initial outbreak of the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic in that country, records show. The State Department, meanwhile, noted in 2018 that NIH has been a "major funder" of coronavirus research at that laboratory, one which —according to a recently released State memo — possessed a "shortage of trained staff." EcoHealth Alliance, a New York-based organization dedicated to infectious disease research, received $3.4 million over 6 years from NIH, according to an NIH spokeswoman. Among the sub-awardees of that grant was the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the infectious disease institute that sits within a few miles of where the Chinese government claimed the COVID-19 outbreak began. The final project thus far used with that grant money is listed as Project #2R01AI110964-06 on the National Institutes of Health's RePORTER system. That project, titled "Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence," sought to explore "the origin, diversity, capacity to cause illness, and risk of spillover" in bat-based coronaviruses. "Spillover" is the phenomenon in which a virus jumps from one species to another. In pursuit of one of its three specified goals, the project planned to "identify viruses with the highest potential for spillover."

Researchers said they would use "in vitro and in vivo characterization of SARSr-CoV spillover risk, coupled with spatial and phylogenetic analyses to identify the regions and viruses of public health concern" as well as "S protein sequence data, infectious clone technology, in vitro and in vivo infection experiments and analysis of receptor binding to test the hypothesis that % divergence thresholds in S protein sequences predict spillover potential." Much of the world is familiar with severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, due to previous outbreaks of that disease over the last few decades. Project #2R01AI110964-06 purported to study severe acute respiratory syndrome–related coronaviruses (SARSr), a broad classification of coronaviruses that includes the strains responsible for both the current COVID-19 pandemic and SARS outbreaks in recent years. Following the beginning of the outbreak and after orders from President Trump to cut any funding flowing toward the Wuhan laboratory, the EcoHealth Alliance grant was terminated in late April, though an NIH spokeswoman confirmed the grant was reinstated in early July.

All three, fall under the heading of “ideology”, and all three are being used to shape public attitudes on matters related to our collective identity as “Americans”.

The plan is to overwhelm the population with a deluge of disinformation about their history, their founders, and the threats they face, so they will submissively accept a New Order imposed by technocrats and their political lackeys. This psychological war is perhaps more important than Operation BLM which merely provides the muscle for implementing the transformative “Reset” that elites want to impose on the country. The real challenge is to change the hearts and minds of a population that is unwaveringly patriotic and violently resistant to any subversive element that threatens to do harm to their country. So, while we can expect this propaganda saturation campaign to continue for the foreseeable future, we don’t expect the strategy will ultimately succeed. At the end of the day, America will still be America, unbroken, unflagging and unapologetic.

Let’s look more carefully at what is going on.

Ukraine: Vehicle carrying Belarusian opposition members seen in Kiev

Members of the Belarusian opposition's Coordination Council, Anton Rodnenkov and Ivan Kravtsov, were filmed travelling through Kiev on Tuesday. Ruptly Stringer has confirmed that Anton Rodnenkov and Ivan Kravtsov were inside the vehicle visible in the footage.

Rodnenkov and Kravtsov later spoke at a press conference in the Ukrainian capital, and talked about their alleged forcible expulsion from Belarus. The men said that they were detained by police at Kolesnikova's house, as they were trying to warn her about being detained.

"They were interested in the possibility of exporting Kolesnikova abroad. They explained it's needed to de-escalate the situation in the country. They suggested that the three of us go abroad in my car," Rodnenkov said during the press conference.

“Anton and I were put in a minibus, and on the way, we stopped at the State Security Committee, where we picked up Maria Kolesnikova. And we moved towards the Ukrainian border," Kravtsov said.

The men also claim that when at the border, they were put in a BMW car and Kolesnikova was then brought to the vehicle. “She was being led, she was quite noisy, which means we could hear that she was being led by force and that she was resisting," Rodnenkov said.

According to him, Kolesnikova refused to go anywhere and then tore up her passport, therefore staying in Belarus, while Rodchenkov and Kravtsov left the country. Meanwhile, the Border Committee of Belarus reported that Maria Kolesnikova was detained while trying to cross the state border with Ukraine.

Ukraine's Deputy Interior Minister, Anton Gerashchenko, has said that Kolesnikova did not have the right documents to leave Belarus. Kolosnikova's associate Pavel Latushko has noted that Kolesnikova was forced to leave Belarus, adding that she tore up her passport at the border. Media reports say she was attempting to avoid deportation.

Belarus: Border Service footage purportedly shows Kolesnikova crossing Ukraine border

Footage released to Ruptly by the State Border Service of Belarus shows a vehicle said to be carrying representatives of the Belarus opposition movement, Maria Kolesnikova, Anton Rodnenkov, and Ivan Kravtsov, crossing the Belarus-Ukraine border on Tuesday night. Please note, Ruptly has not verified the identity of the passengers of the vehicle shown in the footage. A BMW can be seen heading towards a border checkpoint, where the documents of the passengers are then checked. After that, the car drives on.

According to the press secretary of the Border Service of Belarus, Anton Bychkovky, the vehicle passed border control at the Alexandrovka checkpoint at around 4 a.m., after which an incident occurred, resulting in Kolesnikova being detained.

Bychkovky said that there is a settlement between the checkpoint and the state border, and there are squads controlling this area. The Border Service representative said that after noticing such a squad the vehicle reportedly increased its speed and posed a threat to the life of a member of the military. KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 — Former defence deputy minister Liew Chin Tong has highlighted today the lack of local media coverage of China’s State Councilor and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe’s visit to Malaysia on Monday.

The senator said the issue was puzzling, and urged Putrajaya not to take sides in the dispute between the United States and China amid rising tensions on the South China Sea.

“I too have no idea why there was no media coverage on the visit. It’s a big and important event.

“China and the US are two great powers who have importance in the region so I really can’t tell you why local media were not given coverage and you guys had to find out from your sources in China,” Liew said during a press conference today in Parliament.

Chinese state media Xinhua reported on Monday that Wei called on Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to strengthen defense cooperation between the two countries.

Muhyiddin was also quoted saying that Malaysia is willing to work with China to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields including defence, economy and trade, and education.

The event was not covered by Malaysian state news agency Bernama and state broadcaster RTM.

After visiting Malaysia, on Tuesday Wei met his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta and is expected to do the same in Brunei and the Philippines.

Liew said during this “strategic competition” between the two superpowers, Malaysia should stay neutral but make its voice and opinions heard.

“Our country is in a crisis region where anything can happen anytime especially in the South China Sea where the US and China are in strategic competition,” he said.

“A crisis in South-east Asia needs Malaysia to be a leading voice and not to take sides. The main thing we must tell these two countries is that Asean nations do not want to choose between the two.

“We need them both but we will not pick a side,” added Liew.

Semi relatedly, I have a hypothesis about the President and a coronavirus vaccine. Do any other anons recall HCQ being called a "cure and a vaccine" (or something along those lines)?

An ideal vaccine would protect the recipient from symptoms of infection and also stop that person from spreading the pathogen they are vaccinated against. Many vaccines reduce apparent symptoms of illness while still allowing recipient to spread pathogens. ( I'm thinking acellular pertussis vaccines and some flu shots here.)

What if Trump is so confident about the vaccine because HCQ is the vaccine? HCQ prevents both infection and transmission of "coronavirus" (if our understanding of "viruses" is correct) and it is easily manufactured, inexpensive and requires no further testing or patenting.

What a head fake that would be against the demonic left, whose idea of a vaccine is to inject unfathomably evil poisons into an innocent child as an initiation into a "herd". The poisons do significant immune system damage resulting in chronic disease and disability.

The effects of HCQ are exactly what we would want from a true vaccine. The person is immune from infection and they cannot transmit the pathogen. Additionally, since a person can stop taking HCQ or they could increase the dosage if already infected there is an option to tailor the "vaccine" to individual needs. If most everyone in a population could use HCQ the very few who could not would still be protected.

HOUSTON — A 19-year-old Richmond man is facing serious allegations that he made a bomb threat against the University of Houston in the middle of a Zoom lecture, shocking students and staff.

Ibraheem Ahmed Al Bayati is charged with making threats or conveying false information to destroy by means of fire or explosives and making a threat over interstate commerce, according to the U.S Attorney’s Office. He was arrested Friday and will appear in court for the first time on Tuesday afternoon.

According to prosecutors, Al Bayati identified himself as Abu Qital al Jihadi al Mansur and joined a UH student lecture via Zoom on Sept. 2. He interrupted and said, “what does any of this have to do with the fact that UH is about to get bombed in a few days?” before making gestures with his index finger.

He also allegedly uttered and repeated in Arabic a phrase that means the “Islamic State will remain.” He eventually left the call to the “gasps of students,” according to the charges, which were revealed in a USAO press release Tuesday morning.

Prosecutors alleged Al Bayati allegedly sought ISIS supporters online, helped an individual make a “pledge” and, according to Al Bayati, was known as an ISIS recruiter.

If convicted of the bomb threat, Al Bayati faces up to 10 years in federal prison in addition to a maximum of five years for making a threat over interstate commerce.

The FBI assisted in the investigation.

The USAO did not indicate if the suspect is a student of the university.

US companies are ignoring Donald Trump’s threats to “decouple” from China and repatriate manufacturing, according to a survey of more than 200 companies with operations in the country.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai found that fewer than 4 per cent of respondents were relocating some production capacity back to the US. U.S. regulator calls climate change a systemic risk

(Reuters) - Climate change poses a “slow motion” systemic threat to the stability of the U.S. financial system requiring urgent action from financial regulators, including the Federal Reserve and the Securities Exchange Commission.

That is one of the findings of a landmark report commissioned by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and put together by a panel convened about 10 months ago by Rostin Behnam, one of two Democrats on the five-member CFTC.

The panel’s 35 members, including representatives of Goldman Sachs Group Inc , BP Plc, the Dairy Farmers of America, and The Nature Conservancy among others, approved the report on Tuesday.

“The physical impacts of climate change are already affecting the United States, and ... the transition to net-zero emissions may also impact many segments of the economy,” the 196-page report said.

“Both physical and transition risks could give rise to systemic and sub-systemic financial shocks, potentially causing unprecedented disruption in the proper functioning of financial markets and institutions.”

A sudden shift in perceptions of the risks from frequent wildfires and intense hurricanes could bring a sudden drop in asset prices, for instance, that cascades through a community and spill more broadly into markets, the report said.

And because the COVID-19 pandemic has depleted household wealth, government budgets and business balance sheets, the economy is more vulnerable than before, it added, “increasing the probability of an overall shock with systemic implications.”

The report’s release comes less than two months ahead of a national election that pits Republican President Donald Trump, who says climate change is a hoax, against Democratic challenger Joe Biden, who calls climate change an “existential threat.”

Its first recommendation is to “establish a price on carbon” that is hefty enough to push businesses and markets to cut use of carbon dioxide-producing fuels such as oil and gas. Taxing carbon would require action by Congress.

But the report’s dozens of other recommendations amount to a call for a sweeping rewrite of financial market rules and norms that could go forward without any new laws and no matter who wins the presidency.

Among the proposals: requiring banks to address climate-related financial risks and listed companies to disclose emissions, and to stress test community banks for their resilience to climate change.

Regulators in Europe have worked for years on efforts to calibrate and mitigate climate risks to financial markets.

Regulators in the United States, where politicians regularly cast doubt on the fact that burning fossil fuels is affecting the earth’s climate, have lagged far behind on such work.

Only recently has the Federal Reserve begun to acknowledge the potential for climate change to destabilize the financial system, and to think about possible responses.

Feds take over defense in libel suit against Trump

The Justice Department is taking over the legal defense of President Donald Trump in a defamation suit brought by a New York writer who claims Trump raped her in a department store dressing room 25 years ago.

In moving the case from state to federal court Tuesday and relieving Trump’s privately paid attorneys, Justice Department lawyers said they’d concluded that Trump was acting within the scope of his official duties as president when he denied the claims from former advice columnist E. Jean Carroll.

If the move is upheld in the courts, it could effectively shut down the suit.

Carroll’s lawyers immediately denounced the maneuver and said it was preposterous that Trump was engaged in official business when he disputed Carroll’s allegation, including by declaring of the journalist and former “Saturday Night Live“ writer: “She’s not my type.”

“Even in today’s world, that argument is shocking,” Carroll lawyer Roberta Kaplan said in a statement. “It offends me as a lawyer, and offends me even more as a citizen. Trump’s effort to wield the power of the U.S. government to evade responsibility for his private misconduct is without precedent, and shows even more starkly how far he is willing to go to prevent the truth from coming out.”

Kaplan also noted that the move came as Trump faced a deadline to appeal a ruling from a New York judge requiring him to provide a DNA sample and sit for a deposition about the episode. The move to federal court will likely scuttle that ruling.

The Justice Department’s legal filings provided little insight about why officials stepped in 10 months after the suit was filed, but a career attorney who oversees the defense of tort cases for the federal government suggested that new facts had come to light that led to the decision.

“On the basis of information now available with respect to the incidents alleged in the complaint … Defendant Donald J. Trump was acting within the scope of his office as President of the United States at the time of the alleged conduct,” Civil Division Torts Branch Director James Tuohey Jr., said in a certification justifying the move.

Tuohey did not elaborate, but another filing by DOJ lawyers pointed to five cases where defamation suits against federal officials have been handled as suits against the government.

“Numerous courts have recognized that elected officials act within the scope of their office or employment when speaking with the press, including with respect to personal matters, and have therefore approved the substitution of the United States in defamation actions,” the Justice Department attorneys wrote.

They cited a suit filed last year alleging that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Rep. Debra Haaland (D-N.M.) libeled students from a Catholic high school in Kentucky who got into a confrontation with a Native American activist at the Lincoln Memorial. The Cincinnati-based 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last week that a judge was correct to shut down the case.

That suit involved no allegations of personal misconduct by Warren or Haaland, but Justice Department attorneys also pointed to a 2006 D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals decision that accepted arguments from lawyers for former Rep. Cass Ballenger (R-N.C.) that a press interview he gave about his separation from his wife was within the scope of his official duties.

In the exchange, Ballenger said one reason for the separation was that his wife was uncomfortable living across the street from the offices of the Council on American Islamic Relations, which he called “the fundraising arm for Hezbollah.” The group sued Ballenger for slander, but a judge agreed that the congressman was seeking to preserve his official reputation when he addressed the question about his marriage.

Carroll claimed in a book and in interviews last year that in 1995 or 1996 she ran into Trump at a Bergdorf Goodman store and agreed to help him pick out a gift. Carroll says the pair eventually ended up in a lingerie section dressing room where Trump assaulted and raped her.

Trump issued several denials of Carroll’s story, including a written statement in which he insisted he’d never met her, despite a photo she has of the pair together.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has dismissed a report suggesting the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was a "superspreading event" for COVID-19 that cost billions of dollars in health costs.

Researchers from the Center for Health Economics and Policy Studies at San Diego State University in California claimed event, which attracted nearly 500,000 visitors, may have resulted in 266,796 new coronavirus cases—nearly 20 percent of the 1.4 million new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the U.S. between August 2 and September 2.

The annual event, which ran from August 7 to August 17, did not enforce social distancing guidelines and the wearing of masks in the was were not mandatory. Photographs show large crowds spilling out into the streets from Sturgis' bars, with an outdoor concert by the band Smash Mouth also taking place at the rally.

The study described how the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally saw many of "worst-case scenarios" for superspreading occurring simultaneously.

These include the event taking place over several days, individuals packed closely together, a large out-of-town population traveling into the town to attend, and a "low compliance with recommended infection countermeasures such as the use of masks."

"The only large factors working to prevent the spread of infection was the outdoor venue, and low population density in the state of South Dakota," the paper adds.

The researchers arrived at the figures by analyzing anonymized cellphone data to track the smartphone pings from non-residents and movement of those before and after the event.

The study then linked those who attended and traveled back to their home states, and compared changes in coronavirus trends after the rally's conclusion.

"We're never going to be able to contact trace every single person from Sturgis," Andrew Friedson, one of four authors of the study, told the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.

"So if we want a good-faith estimate using, at the moment, the accepted statistical techniques ... this is the best number we're going to get in my opinion."

The review has since been dismissed by Gov. Noem, who backed the event to go ahead amid the outbreak as it provides a major economic boost to the state

"This report isn't science. It's fiction," Noem tweeted.

"Under the guise of academic research, it's nothing short of an attack on those who exercised their personal freedom to attend Sturgis

"Predictably, some in the media breathlessly report on this non-peer-reviewed model, built on incredibly faulty assumptions that do not reflect the actual facts and data.

Noem added: "At one point, academic modeling also told us that South Dakota would have 10,000 COVID patients in the hospital at our peak. Today, we have less than 70.

"I look forward to good journalists, credible academics, and honest citizens repudiating this nonsense."

"This is enough to have paid each of the estimated 462,182 rally attendees $26,553.64 not to attend," the paper states.

"While we note that this estimate captures the full costs of infections due to the Sturgis rally—and is an overestimate of the externality cost because this number includes COVID-19 infections to individuals who attended the rally (and may have internalized private health risks)—we nonetheless conclude that local and nationwide contagion from this event was substantial."

Obama-Appointed Judge Reopens ‘Visa Lottery’ During Coronavirus Crisis

A federal judge, appointed in 2014 by President Barack Obama, has forced the reopening of the Diversity Visa Lottery program in the midst of the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

United States District Court Judge Amit Mehta issued a ruling last week that reopens the Visa Lottery program to deliver potentially 43,000 visas to randomly selected foreign nationals around the world.

Mehta, while upholding President Trump’s suspension of foreign visa workers into the U.S. labor market, ruled that the president does not have the authority to temporarily halt the Visa Lottery program.

The Visa Lottery randomly gives out about 55,000 visas every year to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries — such asAfghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Yemen, and Uzbekistan — with minimal security checks.

Trump, through his original April executive order pausing mostly employment-based green cards, halted the program after the State Department had already issued about 12,000 visas to lottery winners this year.

Mehta ruled the Trump administration has “unreasonably delayed processing” visas for lottery winners during the ongoing Chinese coronavirus crisis. He wrote:

To be clear, there is no statutory requirement that every available diversity visa be issued each year. But that does not mean that the State Department could effectively extinguish the diversity program for a given year by simply sitting on its hands and letting all pending diversity visa applications time out.

As part of the ruling, Mehta is ordering the State Department to detail the number of unused Visa Lottery visas for this fiscal year by September 25. Attorneys for visa lottery winners have sought to have any unused Visa Lottery visas this year reused for the next fiscal year.

The original lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The case number is 1:20-cv-01419-APM.

U.S. Forest Service K-9 Survives Second Stabbing

This dog is tough!

A U.S. Forest Service police dog is recovering after being stabbed nine times during a recent marijuana raid in Northern California.

The 11-year-old Belgian Malinois named Ice was airlifted to a veterinary clinic for treatment following the altercation, according to the Associated Press (AP).

The report continued:

Ice was wounded Aug. 27 in the Klamath National Forest south of the Oregon border when he was released to catch a suspect who had fled down a steep hill to escape the raid that unearthed more than 5,500 marijuana plants. He kept hold of the suspect even after he was stabbed, while his handler, Patrol Capt. Christopher Magallon, made the arrest.

Magallon then gave his dog first aid while calling in a helicopter, which flew Ice more than 70 miles to the Veterinary Specialty Center in Medford, Oregon. The dog, which had been wearing a protective vest, was released later that afternoon, and federal prosecutors are still considering charges.

“Thankfully, despite the attack, no major areas were struck, and Ice will quickly recover and return to service until his expected retirement at the end of this month,” said the Forest Services’ North Zone Patrol Commander Cody Wheeler.

However, it was the second time Ice recovered from being seriously injured in the line of duty, according to the AP.

In July of 2016, the K-9 was stabbed while apprehending a suspect during a marijuana eradication operation in Trinity County, California, the U.S. Forest Service said in a press release.

“Despite being injured, Ice wasn’t deterred from his duty until officers took the suspect into custody. Ice was airlifted by California Highway Patrol helicopter to a veterinary hospital in Redding, California, where he was immediately operated upon,” the release said.

To recognize his actions, Ice was voted top dog in the Law Enforcement/Arson Dogs category during the 2017 American Humane Hero Dog Awards, the agency said.

The American Kennel Club’s (AKC) website categorized the Belgian Malinois breed as proud and alert herders.

“The smart, confident, and versatile Belgian Malinois is a world-class worker who forges an unbreakable bond with his human partner. To deny a Mal activity and the pleasure of your company is to deprive him of his very reasons for being,” the site read.

"I posted here earlier this year, in April if I recall, about hearing these high pitched white noise like tones. The shit was making me sick and so I bugged out of the cities and headed to the country in my RV.

Now I've returned home (early) and it was still happening. I'm hearing it at home, I'm hearing it elsewhere around the Twin Cities. And after a couple weeks of a lot of investigating and playing around with various devices and such, trying to discover what I'm hearing, I finally figured it out.

Before I discovered what is going on I had one of my phone's hacked. It was in airplane mode, cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, all of it, was turned off. And, if that wasn't enough, I had it kept inside a (MOS brand) RF blocking pouch.

So, how could this have happened? How did apps get changed out with infected ones? Nobody had gotten a hold of my phone while it happened. And it occurred over several days.

Now, I won't go into all the details that lead me to discovering what those noises were, but I just happened to be looking at a waterfall spectrograph of these signals when suddenly my phone reacted at the same time those tones had briefly stopped. Then it happened some more. Those tones were downloading data into my phone. Stuff was being changed, alerted, swapped. I.E. a good copy of VLC was replaced with one that had menu items and features missing, but the version number was what I had used before. I keep an archive of Android apps, every version downloaded. System apps too. I compared this suspected one to a good copy and it was not the same.

Lots of stuff was messed up. I'm using that phone right now. I just turned it on for the first time since June when it got hacked. And .. stuff has been changed again.

Anyhow, there's a fucking backdoor on these Android devices, my Samsung Note 8 and 9 phones, my Samsung S4 tablet.It's using loud ultrasonic tones to transmit data to the microphone on your phone. And there's an app that is called Device Security or Phone Security that's part of this infection.That app seems to spawn other apps when ultrasound commands are received. And it appears programs can be downloaded by that method too.

I've spent some time watching these signals on a spectrograph. It seems to be operating between 20 kHz to 24 kHz. There seems to be a command channel that sweeps up and down that 4 kHz of ultrasounds. I noticed what looks like probably data being emitted using the entire 4 kHz once in a while.

Someone has been hacking my phone's for about 4 years now. When they get in, they break all the apps I use and try to screw up my wifi so I can't see my access points, or often none at all. They keep doing something to break my GPS. MORE ...

Anyhow, this is going on all over the place.Devices are being hacked and those LOUD ultrasounds (70, 80 dB sometimes) are making people sick. But here's the thing: not many people can hear stuff that high of a frequency.I am one that can. And it's driving me crazy, and not just because I'm being hacked, but it's load, makes me nauseated, makes my eyes and noise drip constantly, and I'll feel

brief pains in my brain when they are aiming that crap at me. But I think I know where it's coming from. And I'm going to need to get a lawyer to stop and sue them for all these years of harassment.

But anyhow, I've noticed it happening elsewhere, numerous locations. And I have no idea why this is happening. Could this also be making people so sick.. and they are calling it COVID?

Anyhow, I want to write more but I'm probably getting hacked while I'm writing this. I guess I don't care though .. need evidence to sue an asshole .. or more.

My first guess is that is probably Comcast doing this. Everyone that is being hacked in my neighborhood are NOT Comcrap customers .. but they end up being one after their old provider could fix their constant problems.

I'm thinking Comcast is stealing WiFi from the neighborhood and SELLING IT back to the people they are taking it away from .. the citizens. I have a lot of evidence that supports this theory.

Anyhow, more later. Download a spectrograph app, see if your phone's mic can listen up to 24 kHz. You shouldn't really see anything the higher you get in hertz. I can hear these tones at 24 kHz myself. Download UltraSound Detector. It works great. So do a few others. The mics in most of these phones do seem to hear up to at least 24 kHz. I'll provide more info later on setting for that app which makes it easier to see the data, but does need adjusting depending on sensitivity of your phone's mic.

US will draw down troops in Iraq from 5,200 to 3,000 this month, CENTCOM confirms

U.S. Central Command’s Marine Corps Gen. Frank McKenzie announced Wednesday that the United States will fulfill a President Trump promise and withdraw about half of the remaining American soldiers in Iraq. The drawdown will still allow the U.S. to help fight the Islamic State, he said. “This reduced footprint allows us to continue advising and assisting our Iraqi partners in rooting out the final remnants of ISIS in Iraq and ensuring its enduring defeat,” McKenzie said in a speech in Iraq with the Iraqi minister of defense in attendance. McKenzie had been praising the development of the 250,000-strong Iraqi security forces for months. “We are continuing to expand on our partner capacity programs that enable Iraqi forces and allow us to reduce our footprint in Iraq,” he added. “The U.S. decision is a clear demonstration of our continued commitment to the ultimate goal, which is an Iraqi security force that is capable of preventing an ISIS resurgence and of securing Iraq’s sovereignty without external assistance.”

A troop reduction announcement had been expected for months as the U.S. and Iraq engaged in status of forces negotiations to determine a future American presence in the country. Today’s announcement reveals the status of those negotiations and a level of confidence in the ISF that McKenzie in June said was “good enough” to quash remaining terrorists in Iraq. McKenzie in August warned that the Islamic State is still present in Syria, where the U.S. retains a small troop presence east of the Euphrates River. In the Russia-controlled west, the top American commander in the region warned recently: “The conditions are as bad or worse than those that spawned the original rise of ISIS.”

Seventeen percent of Trump voters — nearly one in five likely Trump voters — are less likely to let others know about their vote.

Rasmussen reported:

Trump voters appear to be hiding their vote again this election cycle.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 17% of Likely U.S. Voters who Strongly Approve of the job President Trump is doing say they are less likely to let others know how they intend to vote in the upcoming election. By comparison, just half as many (8%) of those who Strongly Disapprove of the president’s performance say the same.

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of those who Strongly Approve are More Likely to tell others whom they plan to vote for compared to previous presidential campaigns. But that compares to 66% of voters who Strongly Disapprove. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Federal Report Warns of Financial Havoc From Climate Change

WASHINGTON — A report commissioned by federal regulators overseeing the nation’s commodities markets has concluded that climate change threatens U.S. financial markets, as the costs of wildfires, storms, droughts and floods spread through insurance and mortgage markets, pension funds and other financial institutions.

“A world wracked by frequent and devastating shocks from climate change cannot sustain the fundamental conditions supporting our financial system,” concluded the report, “Managing Climate Risk in the Financial System,” which was requested last year by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and set for release Wednesday morning.

Those observations are not entirely new, but they carry new weight coming with the imprimatur of the regulator of complex financial instruments like futures, swaps and other derivatives that help fix the price of commodities like corn, oil and wheat. It is the first wide-ranging federal government study focused on the specific impacts of climate change on Wall Street.

Perhaps most notable is that it is being published at all. The Trump administration has suppressed, altered or watered down government science around climate change as it pushes an aggressive agenda of environmental deregulation that it hopes will spur economic growth.

The new report asserts that doing nothing to avert climate change will do the opposite.

“This is the first time a government entity has looked at the impacts of climate change on financial markets in the U.S.,” said Robert Litterman, the chairman of the panel that produced the report and a founding partner of Kepos Capital, an investment firm based in New York. “Rather than saying, ‘What’s the science?’ this is saying, ‘What’s the financial risk?’ ”

The commodities regulator, which is made up of three Republicans and two Democrats, all of whom were appointed by President Donald Trump, voted unanimously last summer to create an advisory panel drawn from the world of finance and charged with producing a report on the effects of the warming world on financial markets. The initial proposal for the report came from Rostin Behnam, one of the panel’s two Democrats, but the report is written by dozens of analysts from investment firms including Morgan Stanley, S&P Global and Vanguard; oil companies BP and ConocoPhillips; and agricultural trader Cargill, as well as academic experts and environmental groups.

It includes recommendations for new corporate regulations and the reversal of at least one Trump administration policy.

“It was shocking when they asked me to do this,” Litterman said. “This is members of the entire community involved in financial markets saying with one voice, ‘This is a serious problem, and it has to be addressed.’”

A White House spokesman, Judd Deere, declined Tuesday to comment on the report because the White House had not yet seen it.

Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of the American Action Forum, a conservative research organization, who served as economic adviser to John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, said: “This was initiated by the Trump administration. It is the only document of its type.”

He added, “If you’re denying this exists, you don’t ask for a report on it.”

The Republican chairman of the CFTC, Heath Tarbert, acknowledged the risk of climate change, but he noted that the report also detailed what the regulators called “transition risk” — the financial harm that could befall the fossil fuel industry if the government enacted aggressive policies to curb carbon dioxide pollution.

As all of you know, “Q” has become very popular with some conservatives. You or a friend may be a follower. It does get people involved in politics, and they learn a little history along the way. Followers generally believe that Q is a group of individuals with military intelligence access, with some involved in government communications; it is also believed some members of congress, the President, and other prominent individuals are involved in varying degrees. It is considered a backdoor of communication with the public, thus avoiding the “I know better than you…’ liberal media. If the above is true, Q is helping America, but there are issues. The delivery system is horrendous. The messages are cryptic and resemble a horoscope. Q followers must decipher the meaning. Even for the most intelligent person, this leaves a lot of room for interpretation or lack thereof. There’s widespread discussion of Deep State corruption, dungeons, child sacrifices, pedophilia, and countless related topics. If correct, these are horrific. But at the same time, they cast doubt on Q’s legitimacy. If such contentions are true, shouldn’t Q come forward and present documents showing how, when, and where these vile acts occurred or are occurring? An innocent child’s safety is always a top priority. Therein lies the problem. Three Jesuit charities close to Pope Francis have received more than $ 1.7 million in recent years from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, reveals veteran Vatican journalist Marco Tosatti.

The Jesuit Refugee Service received $ 176,452 from Soros in 2018 to “support migrant rights” in Latin America. The Spanish Jesuit Migrant Service received $ 75,000 since its founding in 2016 and $ 151,125 in 2018. Jesuit Worldwide Learning USA received $ 890,000 in 2016 and another $ 410,000 in 2018, the only Catholic NGO to list Open Society as one of its “partners” on its website, Tosatti writes.

In total, George Soros’ donations to Jesuit foundations totaled $ 1,702,577 over the past four years. The funding is particularly controversial due to Open Society’s aggressive support of abortion, gay marriage, drug liberalization and Islamization of the West. Over the past four years, the Soros Foundation has donated nearly $ 12 million to the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and its US political arm, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

In 2016, it became known that the Soros foundation gave $ 1.5 million to quash the scandal over the Planned Parenthood harvesting of organs and tissues from aborted babies.

In 2017, the Irish government ordered Amnesty International to return more than $ 160,000 donated by Open Society to legalize abortion in that country.

In mid-July it emerged that the Jesuit archbishop of Santiago del Guatemala, Monsignor Gonzalo de Villa y Vásquez, has been linked to Soros’ now-defunct Guatemala Foundation since the 1990s.

US Catholic leaders voiced concern in a January 2017 letter to President Trump that George Soros may have conspired with Hillary Clinton, John Podesta and the Obama administration to force out Pope Benedict XXIII and replace him with Pope Francis, based on E-Mails released by Wikileaks:

“We were alarmed to discover that, during the third year of the first term of the Obama administration your previous opponent, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and other government officials with whom she associated proposed a Catholic “revolution” in which the final demise of what was left of the Catholic Church in America would be realized. Approximately a year after this e-mail discussion, which was never intended to be made public, we find that Pope Benedict XVI abdicated under highly unusual circumstances and was replaced by a pope whose apparent mission is to provide a spiritual component to the radical ideological agenda of the international left. The Pontificate of Pope Francis has subsequently called into question its own legitimacy on a multitude of occasions.“

Forbes estimates George Soros’ fortune at $ 8.3 billion. The Open Society Foundation’s budget for 2020 is $ 1.2 billion. Catholic News Agency asked the Jesuit foundations about their ties to Soros and his pro-abortion program, but has so far received no response.

Mueller has previously testified before congress that he did not apply for the position of FBI director.

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in a May 17, 2017 email apparently indicated that Robert Mueller had withdrawn from being considered as a candidate for the position of FBI director. Rosenstein in the email obtained by Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act suit wrote, "Withdrew from consideration for FBI director." The email included the subject heading, "Mueller," according to Judicial Watch. The date of the email, May 17, 2017, is also the day that it was announced Mueller would serve as special counsel for the Russia investigation. Mueller on the day prior, May 16, 2017, met with the president, but has said that he never interviewed to secure the FBI director position. According to a transcript of testimony before the House Judiciary Committee in July 2019, Mueller denied having interviewed for the job. Portions of the transcript read as follows.

STEUBE: Thank you, Mr. Chair. Mr. Mueller, over here. Mr. Mueller did you indeed interview for the FBI director job one day before you were appointed as Special Counsel? MUELLER: My understanding I was not applying for that job, I was asked to give my input on what it would take to do the job, which triggered the interview you’re talking about. The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg published an article Thursday claiming that Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery after calling dead soldiers "losers" and "suckers" for getting killed. "Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day," Golberg wrote. "[H]e blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that 'the helicopter couldn't fly' and that the Secret Service wouldn't drive him there. Neither claim was true."

However, government documents obtained in a FOIA request by BuzzFeed shows the Navy canceled the troop cemetery visit due to rain. "Regarding the lede of this story: I obtained documents from the Navy via #FOIA about Trump's 2018 trip to Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris and the documents say his transport was canceled by the Navy due to rain," Jason Leopold, a senior investigative reporter for BuzzFeed, tweeted while linking to documents showing military officials refusing to support a helicopter flight due to inclement weather. After his article was published, Goldberg himself even admitted he believed the President's account of why the cemetery trip was nixed. "I'm sure all of those things are true," Goldberg told CNN in an interview with CNN's "New Day" on Friday after he was asked about an account from John Bolton, Trump's former national security adviser. Bolton wrote in his recent book "The Room Where it Happened" (which is otherwise highly critical of Trump) about the helicopter trip being cancelled due to rain and the ground transportation options being curtailed due to traffic constraints that would be placed on the French people. Goldberg did not respond to requests for comment from Just the News. An automated email response to a Just the News reporter from his email account stated that he was unable to respond to all requests due to volume. "I didn't hear either of those comments or anything even resembling them," Bolton told John Roberts of Fox News. "I was there at the point in time that morning when it was decided that he would not go Aisne-Marne cemetery. He decided not to do it because of John Kelly's recommendation. It was entirely a weather-related decision, and I thought the proper thing to do." Bolton belongs to a much longer list of current and former government officials, many of whom were with the president at the time, who have now spoken out on the record either to factually refute The Atlantic's claims or attest that they are wildly out of character.
