‘These are not fireworks’: Antifa accused of throwing real explosives at feds in apparent major escalation in Portland

In an apparent disturbing escalation in violence, after the 61st consecutive day of protests in Portland, Antifa have been accused of throwing real explosives, not fireworks, at federal agents.

Approximately 1,000 protesters took to the streets of Portland on Monday evening, including parents and veterans groups, all of whom were teargassed in something that has become a nightly tradition.

Daily footage from the city shows that neither side is backing down and, in the latest disturbing escalation, accusations that members of the protest group have begun throwing actual explosive devices at authorities have been made online, complete with eyewitness video purporting to show the explosives in action.

The protesters in Portland initially rallied against police brutality and racism after Minneapolis police killed George Floyd, but recently the protests have evolved into a tit-for-tat escalation in violence between the protesters, assorted agitators in their midst, and the federal agents ostensibly deployed to restore order in a controversial move by US President Donald Trump.

Tommy Robinson flees UK with family after claims of ‘arson’ attack on wife’s property

Anti-Islam activist and ex-English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson says he’s trying to permanently relocate his family outside of the UK because “they’re not safe.” It follows an alleged arson attack on his wife’s property.

In a video posted on social media on Tuesday, the controversial right-wing activist insisted that he knows who the perpetrators are, and believes that it “wasn’t Muslims” but that it may be people linked to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Robinson, 37, claimed that he had a video evidence of the arson attack, saying they upped and left the UK because his wife had “had enough of everything.”

I’m looking at relocating my family which is pretty hard to do, especially with Covid.

He revealed that he was searching for schools for his daughters and in the process of finding a “permanent relocation” for his family.

Robinson – real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – complained that the UK government’s quarantine rules would mean he would be unable to fly back to Britain to attend a demonstration on Saturday. It’s led many people on social media to speculate that he may be in Spain.

Allegations of an arson attack on Robinson’s wife’s home have not been confirmed by Bedfordshire Police, but they “do have a record of reported car arson in June,” the Independent’s Lizzie Dearden reports.

The former leader and co-founder of the EDL – a right-wing social movement hostile to immigrants – is currently facing a libel trial over comments he made, allegedly defaming a Syrian boy who was filmed being attacked in a school in Huddersfield in 2018. Solicitors acting on behalf of the 16 year-old refugee are seeking £100,000 ($129,000) in damages.

The right-wing activist spent time in HMP Belmarsh last year for contempt of court after he filmed defendants in a grooming trial and streamed it live on Facebook. The high-security prison in London is currently holding WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Robinson was originally sentenced to nine months, but was told in July 2019 that he would only serve 10 weeks in prison, due to time already served for the same offense.

Vaccine developer says people must wear masks and socially distance even after vaccine is available

A vaccine developer at the Baylor College of Medicine told Business Insider that people should not expect an immediate return to normal life once a vaccine is available.

Several companies are working as quickly as possible to develop a safe and effective vaccine, which has been viewed by some as necessary for lockdowns to end and schools to reopen. While a vaccine may significantly reduce the risk of serious disease from the novel coronavirus, social distancing and face masks may still be a part of life, said vaccine developer Maria Elena Bottazzi.

"They automatically are going to say, 'oh great, I'm just going to get my little vaccine, and I can go back and do exactly the things I was doing last year,'" Bottazzi told Business Insider. "That is absolutely not true."

Ideally, Bottazzi said, a vaccine would give sterilizing immunity, meaning it would totally prevent people from becoming infected. Many vaccines don't reach that level of effectiveness, however, and only reduce the chance of developing severe symptoms of a particular disease.

Vaccines improve over time, which means the first version of the COVID-19 vaccine that is made available to the public might not be 100% effective. In fact, Moderna's vaccine, which is entering phase 3 of trials, is aiming to demonstrate 60% effectiveness.

Moderna CEO Stephanie Bancel said that if the vaccine reaches 90% effectiveness, then people can safely stop wearing masks — unless they have high-risk health conditions, in which case they may need to continue wearing them. Bancel said the company hopes to know more about their vaccine's efficacy as early as October or as late as December.

For comparison, the 2019-2020 flu vaccine is only about 45% effective against the seasonal flu and typically ranges between 40% and 60% effectiveness every year. A vaccine was never successfully developed for the SARS coronavirus in 2002, and eventually demand for such a vaccine went away, as the virus ran its course and mostly disappeared without spreading nearly as widely as COVID-19 has.

In summary, the masks could be here to stay through the end of 2020, and potentially even longer depending on how successful the COVID-19 vaccines are.

"The moment you get a vaccine doesn't mean you're going to put your mask in the trash," Bottazzi told Business Insider. "That is not going to happen. I hope people don't think that is going to be the magic solution for all."

San Francisco police told to display Black Lives Matter banners in support of terrorists who want to eliminate cops

Despite calls from the domestic terrorist group to defund and disband the police, Black Lives Matter (BLM) will now have a presence at every police station in San Francisco, thanks to a recent vote by the San Francisco Police Commission (SFPC).

Moving forward, San Francisco police stations will now be required to display BLM posters inside their facilities, defying strong opposition from union members. To keep the BLM mob happy, each police station will have to find and put up a poster at least 32 by 24 inches in size, and they will have 30 days to do so before being in violation of the order.

“The poster must ‘prominently and exclusively’ feature the phrase ‘Black lives matter’ and it must be displayed in a place visible to station visitors,” reports indicate about the resolution, which was unanimously approved by the SFPC.

To placate those who expressed outrage that the department would vote to support a radical domestic terrorist group that is linked to violence against innocent people, the decision was made to allow the posters to say “Black lives matter,” without a capital “L” or “M” to sound more generic.

“This came directly from the community,” claims Commissioner Dion-Jay Brookter, who helped co-write the resolution. “We need to show unity and solidarity and say that black lives do matter. My life matters. My five-year-old niece’s life matters.”

San Francisco Police Officers Association expresses concerns, says pushing political agendas “establishes a new precedent”

Police Chief Bill Scott, who also has black skin, indicated his support for the resolution as well. In Scott’s view, stating publicly that black lives matter is a great way to show the world that San Francisco police officers are supportive of people with darker skin tones.

“As I have said before, people are talking to us and we have to listen. Yeah, we’re listening. Yes, we will support,” he is quoted as saying.

“Yes, we are fully committed to implementing this resolution, and as the person who is charged with speaking on behalf of the department – and I can speak for the command staff and members of this department – black lives do matter, and they matter to this police department.”

The San Francisco Police Officers Association, on the other hand, issued a letter of opposition to the proposal, warning that it “establishes a new precedent that raises concerns about introducing political agendas and wedge issues into the safe harbor of police stations.”

Rockne A. Lucia, a lawyer for this union, publicly emphasized that police stations are supposed to be places where citizens of all skin colors are free to seek help and assistance when they become victims of criminal activity. Police stations are not supposed to be “places for political endorsements or alignment with political organizations,” Lucia warned.

Police union president Tony Montoya agrees, having said in a statement that the San

Francisco Police Department needs to put away all “soapboxes” and stop its “political grandstanding.”

As it turns out, San Francisco saw a 31 percent increase in homicides last month compared to the same month last year. Car break-ins have also become “rampant,” Montoya warns, emphasizing the fact that police officers throughout the city need to be focused on stopping crime, not perpetuating political movements.

“It’s time for the commissioners to get beyond hashtags, posters, and politics because our community is depending on them and all of us to make San Francisco a safer place for everyone,” Montoya further stated.

State-Run Chinese Company Tries To Buy Massive Resource Mine in North American Arctic

Even as China’s activities in the United States are raising fears of the communist nation’s motives, Canadian officials are raising concerns over the planned purchase of an Arctic gold mine by a state-run Chinese company.

“This purchase should not go forward,” Richard Fadden, a former national security adviser to both Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, told The Wall Street Journal.

“They are clearly adversaries, and I think we have to take that into account every time they seek to buy something,” Fadden said.

Shandong Gold Mining Co. is trying to buy Toronto-based TMAC Resources Inc., which operates a mine on Canadian soil almost 120 miles north of the Arctic Circle, The Journal reported Sunday.

The deal was approved by TMAC and has cleared all regulatory hurdles in China, but Canadian officials, who can reject the deal on the grounds of national security, have not yet added their stamp of approval, the report said.China’s activity in Canada comes as voices are being raised in Texas in opposition to a proposed wind farm. Further, last week, the U.S. booted China from its Houston consulate and alleged that China has been using researchers affiliated with the military to gather American secrets.

Shandong is controlled by the Shandong Provincial Government in China. The company said the acquisition is simply good business.

“We are a commercially focused company that is well known to the Canadian mining industry,” Jack Yue, director of corporate development and global investment for Shandong, told The Journal. “The Canadian government will decide whether to approve this acquisition, but we see it as a straightforward gold-mining transaction.”

POTUS says Big Pharma is running ads claiming prescription drug prices will RISE after the historic EO. That claim is false.

Need memes to refute the fake narrative.

Congress Didnu2019t Act on Prescription Drug Prices. So President Trump Did.

July 27, 2020

Americans have waited decades for Washington to keep its promise to fix soaring prescription drug prices. Now, thanks to President Trump, that long wait is over.

Video: President Trump Takes Historic Action to Reduce Medicine Prices

The President signed four sweeping executive orders on Friday, which together will significantly lower the cost of prescription drugs while increasing access to life-saving medications such as insulin:

The first order directs federally qualified health centers to pass along massive discounts on insulin and epinephrine from drug companies to low-income Americans.

The second order will allow the safe, legal importation of prescription drugs from Canada and other countries where the price for identical drugs is lower.

The third order will prohibit secret deals between drug manufacturers and pharmacy u201cbenefit manageru201d middlemen, ensuring patients directly benefit from available discounts at the pharmacy counter.

The fourth order ensures the United States pays the lowest price available among economically advanced countries for Medicare Part B drugs. The United States often pays 80 percent more for these drugs than other developed nations.

u201cThe four orders that Iu2019m signing today will completely restructure the prescription drug market, in terms of pricing and everything else, to make these medications affordable and accessible for all Americans,u201d President Trump said.

In 2018, prescription drugs saw their largest annual price decrease in more than half a century. Average basic premiums for Medicare Part D prescription drug plans have fallen by 13.5 percent since 2017, saving beneficiaries $1.9 billion in premium costs. Fridayu2019s four executive orders build on this crucial progress.

At the White House last week, a number of Americans shared personal stories about the importance of lowering medicine costs for all patients.

After her husband died in an auto accident, Andrea Eckles ended up with more than $15,000 in medical debt when she had to switch healthcare plans. u201cI work in a very small dental office, and so my only choice for healthcare at that time was what I call the u2018Unaffordable Care Act,u2019u201d she said.

Paul Madden has lived with insulin-dependent diabetes for 59 years. u201cYour work, sir, to ensure that insulin is affordable under Medicare will help guarantee that I and millions of seniors who take insulin realize healthier, more productive, independent, happier lives,u201d Mr. Madden told the President.

@realDonaldTrump

Big Pharma is taking television ads trying to make the case that I am raising prescription drug prices on seniors. The ad is a lie! What I have done will lead to a 50% REDUCTION in prices, at least, & Big Pharma is not happy about it. No other President would….

….be able to produce what I have. So when you see those nasty ads from Big Pharma remember, the only reason they are going all out is the massive PRICE REDUCTIONS you are getting - not good for them. Plus, I was only President in 51 years that got a Prescription D reduction!

Kennedy Jr. Warns Parents About Danger of Using Largely Untested COVID Vaccines on Kids

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. warned against mandatory COVID-19 vaccination in a debate with Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, pointing out that ‘key parts of testing’ were ‘being skipped’

Environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. warned Americans on Thursday to be cautious about any new coronavirus vaccine, pointing out that key parts of testing are being skipped.

“The Moderna vaccine, which is the lead candidate, skipped the animal testing altogether,” Kennedy said during an online debate on mandatory vaccinations with renowned Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz. The debate was aired by Valuetainment and moderated by Patrick Bet-David.

Kennedy is part of a political family, being the son of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of President John F. Kennedy. Both were murdered in the 1960s.

Another aspect of testing was equally unsatisfying, Kennedy said. The Moderna vaccine was tested “on 45 people. They had a high-dose group of 15 people, a medium-dose group of 15 people, and a low growth group of 15 people.”

“In the low-dose group, one of the people was so sick from the vaccine they had to be hospitalized,” he explained. “That’s six percent. In the high-dose group, three people got so sick they had to be hospitalized. That’s twenty percent.”

In spite of these significant problems,

“they’re going ahead, and making two billion doses of that vaccine.”

Another problem with the testing of the coronavirus vaccine is that it’s tested not on “typical Americans,” but a carefully selected group of people who don’t suffer from certain conditions.

“They use what they call exclusionary criteria,” Kennedy said. “They are only giving these vaccines in these tests that they’re doing to the healthiest people.”

“If you look at their exclusionary idea criteria: You cannot be pregnant, you cannot be overweight, you must have never smoked a cigarette, you must have never vaped, you must have no respiratory problems in your family, you can’t suffer asthma, you can’t have diabetes, you can’t have rheumatoid arthritis or any autoimmune disease. There has to be no history of seizure in the family. These are the people they’re testing the vaccine on.”

He asked,

“What happens when they give them to the typical American? You know, Sally Six-Pack and Joe Bag of Donuts who’s 50 pounds overweight and has diabetes.”

Kennedy stressed several times that

“any other medicine … that had that kind of profile in its original phase-one study would be [dead on arrival].”

“No medical product in the world would be able to go forward with the profile that Moderna has,” he reiterated.

A Russian-birn massage therapist who is accused of helping depraved financier Jeffrey Epstein find new young wpmen to sexually abuse is attempting to move on from her role as an alleged sex trafficking recruiter.

Since her time allegedly working for Epstein, Natalya Malyshev has tried to start a new life in West Hollywood.

But despite her attempts to leave the past behind amid the furor over Epstein's death in prison and alleged madam Ghislaine Maxwell's arrest, the now 38-year-old's involvement was recently brought to light in hit Netflix documentary series Filthy Rich.

An investigation by DailyMail.com tracked Malyshev to her current home, where she has been living a hermit-like existence during the coronavirus pandemic.

Former US Attorney Joe DiGenova: Obama’s Senior Law Enforcement and Intel Officials Were “Criminals, All of Them, Lock, Stock and Barrel” (VIDEO)

Former US Attorney Joe DiGenova was again on his regular Monday morning meeting with Mornings at the Mall. He is well versed in what is going on in the swamp and apparently has some pretty good contacts as he seems more connected than most.

DiGenova reported what we were first to report on July 19th, that Igor Danchenko, who was connected with the Brookings Institute, where the anti-Trump, anti-American criminal actions of the Deep State were conjured up, was the key source in the fraudulent Steele dossier. DiGenova says that Danchenko was given immunity when he shared with the FBI in early 2017 his actions related to the Steele dossier. We now know that Danchenko was Steele’s primary sub-source, and the information he shared with Steele was the key information in the dossier even though it was was made-up bar talk over beers.

Goldfein Departs: On a Future Bomber, Female Pilots and Surviving a Shootdown

Since revealing the next-generation bomber’s name and teasing mock-up images four years ago, the Air Force has tried to strike a balance between talking openly about the B-21 Raider acquisition effort the Pentagon's biggest since the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program kicked off in the 1990s and guarding details of its advanced technology.

The future stealth bomber's design and early development have hit planned milestones, defense officials have said. But the project remains under a veil of secrecy as the Pentagon pursues its strategy to take on more formidable foes, such as Russia and China.

The years of secrecy raise questions about what else the service has in development, especially as this year's Air Force budget proposal asked lawmakers to support further investment in classified programs. Should the American public keep an eye out for other secret weapons to make a surprise debut?

"Maybe," Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein, who's set to retire Aug. 6, said in a July 22 interview. "As it should be no surprise to you, that of the services, the vast majority of those [secret] things, those capabilities are in the Air Force – and the Space Force."

This reporter posed a similar question to then-Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson in 2019.

"We always have things in the works that we can't talk about," Goldfein said. "This is part of what I would call a reveal-and-conceal strategy. It's a little hard to deter someone if they don't know what you have."

He continued, "If you truly want to deter, which is our overall intent because we'd prefer not to fight, then you have to reveal at a time and place of your choosing what you have. That's why I say maybe, because that's a secretary of defense, really a presidential decision, of when we reveal."

Goldfein spoke on a number of topics, from his mission to build a more inclusive service to ensuring bomber forces stay ready. He also reflected on his own high-profile shootdown and rescue in Serbia in 1999. His comments have been edited for clarity and brevity.

Chile picks Japan's trans-Pacific cable route in snub to China

Chile has chosen a route proposed by Japan for the first fiber-optic cable to directly connect South America and the Asia-Pacific, designating Australia and New Zealand as endpoints while stopping short of landing in China, Nikkei has learned. Japan's route beat out a pitch by China that would have made Shanghai the final landing point. This decision comes amid a U.S. pressure campaign to keep China out of global telecommunication projects.

Under the Japanese proposal, the undersea fiber-optic cable would stretch roughly 13,000 km across the Pacific Ocean, pass through New Zealand then arrive at its terminus in Sydney. The Chilean government says this route is the highly recommended based on cost and feasibility. Japan and Australia just completed their own submarine cable linking the two countries this month, meaning Japan could easily connect to the trans-Pacific cable. Both Australia and New Zealand share deep ties with Chile through the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the trade deal that Japan has pushed for.

The Japanese proposal to Chile took into account Australia's hard-line position against China, exemplified by Canberra's decision to blacklist China's Huawei Technologies from its 5G infrastructure. Chile was caught in the geopolitical crossfire as China, its largest trading partner, lobbied heavily for cable plan to have Shanghai as its terminus. When Chilean President Sebastian Pinera visited Beijing in April last year, Huawei pledged to invest in data centers in Chile. Huawei initially emerged as the leading candidate for the undersea cable. But the South American country was unable to ignore U.S. intentions in diplomacy and trade. Right before Pinera's China visit, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Chile and accused Huawei of being controlled by the Chinese government, which would put Chileans at risk.

This June, the U.S. Justice Department released a filing recommending that a separate Pacific undersea cable backed by Google and Facebook should bypass Hong Kong. The document cited the risk of Chinese authorities collecting sensitive data. Undersea cables carry 95% of international communications, including internet data. With the advent of smart devices and 5G communications, expanding the capacity of the optical cables has become a pressing issue. Gloria Hutt, Chile's transportation and telecommunications minister, has said her objective is to transform Chile into South America's digital hub. The government is expected to release the final technological report this fall. A dedicated fund for the project will be established as soon as the end of the year.

Contracting bids are slated to be conducted next year, with the scale of the initial investments estimated to be $500 million. With Chile adopting Japan's route for the cable, Japanese companies will have an edge in winning contracts for supplying equipment. In the event that Japanese companies do win contracts, Tokyo plans to invest in and extend financing to the special purpose vehicle through the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and the Japan ICT Fund.

Japan's NEC is one of the top three suppliers for undersea cables, along with U.S.-based Subcom and France's Alcatel Submarine Networks. NEC recently completed a trans-Atlantic cable between Angola and Brazil.

Huawei, which had originally concentrated on short-distance cables, has expanded in recent years to undersea cables connecting Africa and Latin America. The company announced last June that it will sell its undersea cable assets, but the business will likely continue under the auspices of another Chinese telecom giant.

Face Mask U-Turn: Walgreens, Home Depot, Walmart, CVS Will Serve Customers Not Wearing Masks

Big Box retailers have discovered what Constitutionalists and legal scholars knew all along: “suggestions” and “guidelines” on mandated mask-wearing are not legally enforceable. While the signs will stay posted, non-mask wearers will nonetheless be served.

Technocracy News suggests that you print this article and present it to any and every store that refuses you entry because you are not wearing a face mask! ⁃ TN Editor

Days after announcing customers are required to wear face masks while shopping in their stores, major U.S. retailers appear to be showing leniency in how the rules are enforced.

Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walgreens and CVS had initially required shoppers to wear masks but now in the hope of avoiding confrontations between angry customers and employees it appears to be little more than a suggestion, rather than a legally enforceable instruction.

Having retailers take on the role of the ‘mask police’ puts them in an uncomfortable position at a time when many shops are in no position financially to refuse business.

Major retailers brought in rules requiring masks to be worn by customers including Walmart, pictured, but some companies are saying there is little they can do if people ignore the request

Because there is no requirement federally or legally across the country to wear a mask, and with many states having been lax in creating policies insisting residents wear them in shops, retailers are on their own when it comes to enforcing the policy.

NBA Commissioner Gives Massive Donation to Biden

According to the Federal Election Commission, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, who is seen by many as a puppet to Communist China, donated the maximum possible amount to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

“Listed on Page 817 of the report, Silver even listed his occupation as ‘NBA/Commissioner,” Outkick the Coverage reports.

The donation comes as no surprise considering Biden is known for going easy on Communist China.

Silver has a history of left-wing behavior. In 2019, Silver opposed the word “owner,” saying that it shouldn’t be used to describe someone who owns the team: “We moved away from that term years ago … I don’t want to overreact to the term because, as I said earlier, people end up twisting themselves into knots avoiding the use of the word owner. But, we moved away from that term years ago in the league … We call our team owners ‘Governor of the team’ and ‘alternate Governor.’”

Check out what Clay Travis had to say about Silver’s use of politics in the NBA: “If the NBA players, coaches and commissioner want to argue the league should be making political statements in this country, which they clearly are with names on the back of jerseys changed to player causes and ‘Black Lives Matter’ spelled out on the court itself, how in the world can the league express respect for communist Chinese values while tearing down American values?”

Silver is clearly a puppet to Communist China considering the NBA fails to condemn them for their oppressive behavior.

Back when China was taking over Hong Kong, Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey came under fire for tweeting, “Fight For Freedom. Stand With Hong Kong.”

The Ringer reported, “After general manager Daryl Morey expressed support in a since-deleted tweet for pro-democracy efforts in Hong Kong, the Chinese government, the Chinese Basketball Association, and various Chinese businesses quickly denounced Morey and moved to sever ties with the Rockets. As a consequence, league sources told The Ringer that Rockets ownership has debated Morey’s employment status and whether to replace him.”

Read what NBA chief communications officer Mike Bass had to say in response to Morey’s tweet:

We recognize that the views expressed by Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey have deeply offended many of our friends and fans in China, which is regrettable. While Daryl has made it clear that his tweet does not represent the Rockets or the NBA, the values of the league support individuals’ educating themselves and sharing their views on matters important to them. We have great respect for the history and culture of China and hope that sports and the NBA can be used as a unifying force to bridge cultural divides and bring people together.

Belarusian president reveals he overcame coronavirus ‘on his feet’

Alexander Lukashenko said he was asymptomatic

MINSK, July 28. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed that he overcame coronavirus ‘on his feet’ and was asymptomatic, he said Tuesday when visiting a military base of the Interior Ministry’s internal troops in Minsk.

"As I said, 97% of the population are asymptomatic after contracting the virus. Thank God, I managed to be among the ranks of those asymptomatic," BelTA news agency quoted him as saying. "I finally managed to get into this golden fund of Belarus, by overcoming this virus."

According to Lukashenko, the leadership and military personnel of the national security system "are meeting a person who managed to overcome coronavirus on his feet." "That’s what doctors said yesterday. [I was] asymptomatic," the leader noted.

Belarus has identified more than 67,000 coronavirus cases. National authorities refused to impose lockdown measures to counter the spread of the virus, opting to hold mass events and greenlighting the presidential election campaign. The vote is scheduled to take place on August 9.

Lukashenko recommended Belarusians to keep calm and shared a few words of advice with the population on how to defeat the virus. For instance, he underlined that eating fatty food like butter can help as well as strolls outside and doing exercise. Moreover, the leader recommended Belarusians to hop in a tractor to plough fields, go to saunas or down 100 ml of vodka but only after work. In early July, Lukashenko claimed that Belarus had defeated the coronavirus infection by showing "political robustness and conventional wisdom."

Sen. Rand Paul’s attacker receives longer prison sentence

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Rand Paul’s former neighbor was resentenced Monday to an extra seven months behind bars and six months in home detention for tackling and injuring the Kentucky lawmaker over a lawn care dispute. Rene Boucher originally was given a 30-day sentence after pleading guilty to assaulting a member of Congress. Federal prosecutors argued the sentence was too lenient, describing the 2017 attack outside Paul’s home in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as “vicious and unprovoked.” They sought at least 21 months for Boucher. On Monday, another federal judge ordered Boucher to serve eight months in prison followed by six months of home confinement for the assault. He was given credit for the 30 days he’s already served behind bars.

Paul, a former presidential candidate, suffered multiple broken ribs and later underwent lung and hernia surgeries that he linked to the attack. “Dr. Boucher is going to accept his punishment and he has sincerely apologized to the Pauls again today,” said Boucher’s attorney, Matt Baker. “He wants to put this behind him.” Paul sued Boucher over the attack, and a jury last year awarded the Republican lawmaker more than $580,000 in damages and medical expenses. Paul had testified during that trial that he feared for his life as he struggled to breathe after Boucher, an anesthesiologist by trade, slammed into him in their upscale Bowling Green neighborhood in late 2017. Boucher testified that he attacked Paul after watching the senator form a brush pile near their property line. Boucher has since sold his home, his attorney said.

Antitrust Hearings: Morgan Stanley Exec Says Breaking Up Big Tech Companies Makes No Sense

The CEOs for major tech giants Apple, Amazon, Facebook, and Google will testify Wednesday before a Congressional antitrust subcommittee. While many on Capitol Hill have called for these monolithic companies to be broken up, Morgan Stanley Vice Chairman Robert Kindler has said he thinks the idea “doesn’t make any sense.”

“I think companies like Amazon have been absolutely terrific for the economy and for the consumer,” Kindler said in a CNBC interview. “What would we have done during this pandemic if we didn’t have companies like Amazon? I just can’t imagine that people don’t think that these are fantastic things that all of these huge companies have brought.”

Kindler, who also handles global mergers and acquisitions for the multinational investment bank, said that despite the criticisms leveled against them, breaking up these major companies would offer little benefit for consumers. He added that breaking up some would be a net negative for consumers, as it would do away with some of the cheap and convenient services that they offer.

“I don’t see the reason why you would break them up,” Kindler continued. “What are you going to spin out, Instagram? YouTube?...Do I think these companies have not served the consumer? Of course they have. I think it’s been one of the great things that’s happened to the consumer.”

All four companies involved in the hearing are being targeted for specific allegations of anti-competitive practices. Apple for its tight control of digital apps, Google for its huge footprint in digital ads, Facebook for its market share of social media following its acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp, and Amazon for its use of third-party seller data to create its own products. Altogether, these companies hold a staggering market value of nearly $5 trillion.

Chamath Palihapitiya, a former executive at Facebook, has argued for the break-up of these market-leading mega-companies and said that it will be inevitable by the end of the decade.

“Are they going to get broken up? Yes,” he said. “Will every single government go after them? Absolutely. State, local, federal … all around the world. First, they’ll get taxed to death, then they’ll get trust-busted.”

Seattle: African Immigrants Flying Flag of Terrorist Separatist Group Beat White Man in The Street

Viral video out of Seattle shows a mob of African immigrants assaulting a white man in the street while screaming racial epithets and proudly flying the flag of the terrorist separatist group the Oromo Liberation Front.

The mob is seen swarming the man outnumbering him around 7 to 1 and punching him repeatedly and kicking him while he's on the ground as shocked onlookers scream in horror.

The woman who filmed the incident is heard shouting at the top of her lungs to try and get the mob to stop and saying: "They're beating him! He's a white boy! They're beating him!"

Video of the attack appears to have first surfaced on Friday.

The assault was complete ignored by the media and was only picked up by an Ethiopian site Borkena which opposes the Oromo separatist movement.

BREAKING: Nick Sandmann’s Lawyer Releases Fiery Statement To Get CNN’s Brian Stelter Fired For ‘Breach Of Confidentiality’

‘Brian Stelter is a liar. I know how to deal with liars,’ Sandmann’s attorney Lin Wood warned the CNN host.

Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann’s lawyer, Lin Wood, accused CNN’s Brian Stelter of breaching a confidentiality agreement Friday after the host retweeted speculation on the settlement. The accusation comes hours after Sandmann settled a $250M lawsuit with the Washington Post.

Stelter retweeted a comment from attorney Mark S. Zaid commenting on Sandmann’s defamation case Thursday.

“Those with zero legal experience (as far as I can tell) should not be conjecturing on lawsuits they know nothing about. What kind of journalism is that?” Zaid asked. “I’ve litigated defamation cases. [Sandmann] was undoubtedly paid nuisance value settlement & nothing more.”

Gov. Mike Parson: Over 100 St. Louis Murders Go Uncharged While Kim Gardner Charges McCloskeys

Republican Missouri Gov. Mike Parson said Saturday that over 100 murders had gone uncharged while St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner charged Mark and Patricia McCloskey.

Parson defended the McCloskeys, who were charged with felonies after they openly displayed firearms as they confronted protesters on their property, during a discussion with David Asman on “Cavuto: Live.” (RELATED: ‘It’s Absolutely Absurd’: Kayleigh McEnany Quotes Trump On Charges Against Gun-Toting St. Louis Couple)

Noting that Parson had said that he would pardon the McCloskeys if it came to that, Asman asked, “Why is it that you have a prosecutor in your state letting the law breakers go and charging the victims with a felony?”

Parson began by hinting that he would prefer to remove Gardner from her position if that were an option, saying, “Well, it’s unfortunate that somebody, when you get elected officials, you know, under our constitution, they are fairly well protected to that job.”

‘Obsessed’: Jim Jordan and GOP defend Barr against 'absurd' attacks by Democrats

Republicans plan to mount an all-out defense of Attorney General William Barr against the “absurd” attacks leveled against him when he appears before the Democratic-led House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, calling him “the right man” for the job. Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the ranking GOP member on the committee, released a 50-page Republican staff report titled “Examining Democrat Allegations Against Attorney General William Barr” shortly before the top DOJ official was scheduled to appear on Capitol Hill. The report, obtained by the Washington Examiner, provides a lengthy defense of Barr’s actions since taking over the job in early 2019, making the case that Barr has responded properly to the coronavirus pandemic and to the violence in a number of cities nationwide. The tome also hammers President Barack Obama's Justice Department and argues that Democrats are upset that Barr is exposing misdeeds committed during the Trump-Russia investigation. “Attorney General William P. Barr is a serious and experienced leader with a sterling reputation who came into office at the right time to clean up the mess left behind by the highly politicized Obama-Biden Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation,” the Republican report says, adding, “Democrats, led by Chairman Jerrold Nadler, have been obsessed with attacking Attorney General Barr precisely because he is exposing the Obama-Biden abuses.”

Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to conduct an inquiry into the origins of the Russia investigation. Barr said he expects developments in that investigation, which Democrats have criticized as a political smear job, by the end of the summer. Last month, Nadler claimed that Barr was putting Trump's personal interests above that of the country. “Mr. Barr’s actions make clear that in his Department of Justice, the president’s allies get special treatment, and the president’s enemies — real and imagined — are targeted for extra scrutiny. He is the president’s fixer. He has shown us that there is one set of rules for the president’s friends, and another set of rules for the rest of us," the New York Democrat said. The Republican report retorts: “Democrats have alleged that it is Attorney General Barr who has ‘politicized’ the Justice Department, saying that he is doing the personal bidding of President Trump. This allegation is absurd, especially in comparison to the actions of the Obama-Biden Justice Department.” Jordan noted that Eric Holder, an attorney general under Obama, openly referred to himself as Obama’s “wingman.” “Most notoriously, the Obama-Biden Justice Department weaponized its law-enforcement apparatus against the campaign of Donald Trump,” the Republican report says. “Attorney General Barr has led the effort to expose how the Obama-Biden DOJ and FBI targeted the Trump campaign.”

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s lengthy December report criticized the DOJ and the FBI for at least 17 “significant errors and omissions” related to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants against Trump campaign associate Carter Page and for the bureau's reliance on British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s Democrat-funded unverified dossier. Declassified footnotes show the FBI was aware that Steele’s dossier might have been compromised by Russian disinformation, and a newly-public FBI interview revealed Steele’s primary subsource cast doubt on the dossier’s allegations. Jordan notes the host of FBI records recently unearthed in the case against retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, which have been deemed exculpatory by Republicans and Flynn’s team and which the DOJ pointed to when moving to dismiss its charges against Flynn. Newly-declassified FBI documents show the counterintelligence briefing the bureau gave Trump during the 2016 campaign was used as a pretext to gather investigative evidence against the Trump campaign and Flynn. “Democrats oppose the Attorney General’s work to expose the Obama-Biden abuses,” the Republican report says. “As Attorney General Barr works to restore integrity to the Justice Department, Democrats continue to play political games.”

Israeli Prime Minister Threatens Hezbollah After Incident On Contact Line With Lebanon

After an apparent exchange of fire on the Israel/Lebanon border, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Lebanese Hezbollah fighters not to test the resolve and capabilities of the Israeli military, and Defence Minister Benny Gantz has promised a powerful response to any Hezbollah attack.

Although the other details of the incident remain in doubt, Israeli forces opened fire on the disputed Shebaa Farms area along the Lebanese border on Monday. They claim that they were responding to an infiltration attempt by a Hezbollah “terrorist cell” from Lebanon.

Al Jazeera reports that:

A resident of the town of Khiam, 5km (2 miles) from Lebanon’s southern border, told Al Jazeera she heard about two dozen explosions and witnessed large columns of smoke rising near Mount Hermon on Monday.

An Israeli shell smashed in a civilian home, narrowly missing a family in the house at the time, but nobody was hurt.

“The shelling that took place today on the village of Al-Habbariyeh and damage to a civilian’s house will not be tolerated at all,” Hezbollah said.

Hezbollah officials denied an infiltration attempt, saying in a statement that Israeli forces had taken “nervous action” and that there were no operatives present in the area when the Israeli forces opened fire.

All the enemy media claims about thwarting an infiltration operation from Lebanese territory into occupied Palestine … is absolutely not true,” a Hezbollah statement said.

The armed group attributed the incident to “the state of terror experienced by the Zionist occupation army and its settlers at the Lebanese border” over an expected response to the killing of the Hezbollah fighter. LINK

In a televised address from Tel Aviv on Monday evening, Prime Minister Netanyahu insisted that Hezbollah were lying and the infiltration attempt was genuine.

Netanyahu warned the Shi’ite military group that it is “playing with fire,” and stated that “Hezbollah and Lebanon bear full responsibility for this incident and any attack from Lebanese territory against Israel.”

Defense Minister Benny Gantz – appearing alongside the PM – threatened that any operation against Israel will draw a “powerful” military response. LINK

Whether the Lebanese militants actually crossed the border or not on Monday, Israel has been preparing for a confrontation for several days now. Reinforcements were rushed to the frontier last week after Israeli warplanes killed a Hezbollah fighter in Damascus, Syria, an act that the organization has vowed to avenge.

On July 26, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) deployed M109 Doher howitzers near the separation line with Lebanon. Earlier, the 13th “Gideon” Infantry Battalion of the IDF’s 1st “Golani” Brigade reinforced troops near the border. The number of Israeli Hermes 450 drone reconnaissance flights over southern Lebanon has also increased significantly, and additional IDF units have been deployed around the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

Israel and Hezbollah last engaged in open war along the border in 2006, with the month-long conflict killing more than 1,100 Lebanese and 165 Israelis. Since then, sporadic exchanges of fire have broken out, most recently in September 2019, when Hezbollah launched a volley of rockets into an Israeli military base in retaliation for an Israeli drone attack. Israel responded with an artillery barrage, and no casualties on either side were confirmed.

Registered Offender Who Claims To Be HIV Positive Arrested After Filming Sex With 15-Year-Old Babysitter, Investigators Say

ORLANDO – A Florida man was sentenced to 60 years in federal prison Monday for sexually exploiting two minors and committing the offenses while required to register as a sex offender.

The court also ordered Simmerman to forfeit the electronic device he used to commit the offenses. Simmerman pleaded guilty January 27, 2020.

According to court documents, in 2013 Todd Joseph Simmerman, 30, Titusville, pleaded guilty to traveling to meet a child to engage in unlawful sexual conduct, after using a computer to lure a child, in violation of Florida law. As part of his sentence, he was required to register as a sex offender.

Six months after completing his state sentence, Simmerman met hired a 15-year-old to babysit his children at his computer repair shop. He later contacted the girl on Snapchat and enticed the child to engage in sexual activity. The child victim introduced Simmerman to a 15-year-old friend and Simmerman also preyed upon that child. Simmerman used his cellphone to record his sexually abusive encounters with both victims, which occurred over a period of about five months, until his arrest.

Court documents show that Simmerman wrote a judge, “While incarcerated I have found out that I am HIV positive, a horrible blow that has served to change my life.”

“This repeated child predator will spend the rest of his natural life in prison, thanks to HSI special agents and our partners at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office,” said HSI Orlando Assistant Special Agent in Charge David J. Pezzutti. “While we cannot undo the damage of his horrible crimes, we hope that this sentence helps with the healing process for his victims.”

This investigation was conducted under HSI’s Operation Predator, an international initiative to protect children from sexual predators. Since the launch of Operation Predator in 2003, HSI has arrested more than 25,000 individuals for crimes against children, including the production and distribution of online child exploitation material, traveling overseas for sex with minors, and sex trafficking of children. In fiscal year 2019, more than 3,500 child predators were arrested by HSI special agents under this initiative and more than 1,000 victims identified or rescued.

Fraudsters Thwarted From Stealing $44 Million of Unemployment Stimulus Money

PHILADELPHIA – Federal and state law enforcement, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, and together with measures implemented by US Bank, have successfully prevented over $44 million from reaching criminals who attempted to steal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) funds in Pennsylvania. The U.S. Department of Labor Office of Inspector General (DOL-OIG) utilized sophisticated data analytics to identify the fraudulent claims.

PUA is funded entirely by federal dollars under the CARES Act and the program is administered by the state. Data analytics enabled DOL-OIG and the other law enforcement agencies to trace clusters of fraudulent claims for PUA funds back to the same criminals. The Department of Labor & Industry then used the information to stop the payment of PUA funds to those criminals.

The outstanding work of law enforcement saved over $28 million in PUA funds that would have been paid to fraudsters by check or direct deposit. In addition, US Bank administers the Pennsylvania debit card program used to make some PUA payments. US Bank applied analytics to identify an additional $16 million in fraudulent claims, and those funds will be returned to the Pennsylvania Department of Treasury.

Many of the fraudsters stole identities of real Pennsylvanians to file their fraudulent claims. Law enforcement’s ability to track the fraud was greatly enhanced by Pennsylvanians who came forward and reported that they had received PUA funds but had never applied for them. Anyone who receives state unemployment compensation funds that they did not apply for, whether by check, direct deposit or debit card, are probably victims of identity theft. If you find yourself in that position, U.S. Attorney McSwain strongly encourages you to report it immediately to the Department of Labor & Industry and return the funds.

The Secret China Iran Oil Deal At The Heart Of One Belt One Road Project

A secret oil deal between China and Iran at the heart of the One belt One Road project will change the geopolitical balance of power in the Middle East. The manufacturing products created by utilizing cheap Iranian resources will be used to crack the western markets through the China-Iran axis along with unrestricted access to Iranian military bases. As always Indian policymakers have been caught in this changing dynamics leaning heavily on one player after other without a clear vision of its own.

The Secret China Iran Deal

In 2016 an agreement was signed to signify the 25-year China-Iran strategic partnership. So to take this forward, last August, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Zarif, paid a visit to his Chinese counterpart, Wang Li, to present a roadmap.

Though the information in the updated agreement was not revealed, last week former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave a clear hint to some secret parts of this deal. He stated that:

“It is not valid to enter into a secret agreement with foreign parties without considering the will of the Iranian nation and against the interests of the country and the nation, and the Iranian nation will not recognize it.”

The 12% Discount

This deal, signed just last year states that China will invest US $280 billion in expanding Iran’s oil, gas, and petrochemicals sectors. This amount being given by China will be front-loaded into the first five-year period of the new 25-year deal, and further investments will be available in each subsequent five year period, provided that both parties agree.

Another US $120 billion of investment will be for upgrading Iran’s transport and manufacturing infrastructure, this amount will increase in each subsequent period, should both parties agree.

Just to begin with, Chinese companies will bid on any stalled or uncompleted – oil, gas, and petrochemicals projects in Iran. China is granted the offer to buy any and all oil, gas, and petchems products at a minimum guaranteed discount of 12 per cent.

One Belt One Road

The 25-year deal outlines that China will help in the build-out of Iran’s core infrastructure, which will be in alignment with China’s key geopolitical multi-generational project, ‘One Belt, One Road’ (OBOR).

China aims to utilize the cheap labour available in Iran to build factories with master infrastructure. These will be financed, designed, and overseen by big Chinese manufacturing companies. There are also plans to establish a Tehran-Qom-Isfahan high-speed train line.

Google Announces New ‘Grace Hopper’ Undersea Cable Project to Link US With UK, Spain

Google, one of the largest tech companies in the world, announced Tuesday that it would be starting a new undersea cable initiative intended to strengthen the digital connection between the US, UK and Spain.

Although the new undersea project isn’t expected to be completed until 2022, Google anticipates that the new project will mark many firsts for the big tech company as it sets out on the two-year enterprise.

According to Bikash Koley, vice president of Google Global Network, the initiative marks Google’s first private investment in a private subsea cable route to the UK, and its first-ever cable route to Spain.

The Tuesday-issued release on the development notes that the undersea cable, which has been named after computer science engineer Grace Hopper, will connect New York to Bude, a seaside resort town in England’s Cornwall county that sits at a distance of more than 3,000 miles from the Empire State. A second, split connection will go from New York to Bilbao, Spain.

“Once commissioned, the Grace Hopper cable will be one of the first new cables to connect the US and UK since 2003, increasing capacity on this busy global crossroads and powering Google services like Meet, Gmail and Google Cloud,” reads the blog post.

“The Spanish landing point will more tightly integrate the upcoming Google Cloud region in Madrid into our global infrastructure.”

“Grace Hopper will incorporate novel optical fiber switching that allows for increased reliability in global communications, enabling us to better move traffic around outages,” the announcement states, noting that the project will mark the “world’s first submarine cable” to incorporate “innovative switching architecture into the system.”

The Grace Hopper cable, due to be built by New Jersey-based provider SubCom, is expected to be fitted with 16 fiber pairs that will ultimately be able to transport between 340 and 350 terabytes of information per second, Business Insider reported.

At present, Google has three other subsea cable projects, with the Curie, which runs from the US’ West Coast to Panama and Chile, being the only one that is officially completed. The Dunant cable - stretching from the US to France - is expected to be finished later this year, whereas the Equiano cable may be finalized in 2021.

Unlike Google’s other cable initiatives, the Equiano cable route, which will run from Portugal to South Africa, will be fitted with multiple branching units in the event that additional connection points are made to interested African nations. The cable currently has a sole branching unit in Lagos, Nigeria.

LancetGate: “Scientific Corona Lies” and Big Pharma Corruption. Hydroxychloroquine versus Gilead’s Remdesivir

Minor updates and additions on July 6, 2020

Introduction

There is an ongoing battle to suppress Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), a cheap and effective drug for the treatment of Covid-19. The campaign against HCQ is carried out through slanderous political statements, media smears, not to mention an authoritative peer reviewed “evaluation” published on May 22nd by The Lancet, which was based on fake figures and test trials.

The study was allegedly based on data analysis of 96,032 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 between Dec 20, 2019, and April 14, 2020 from 671 hospitals Worldwide. The database had been fabricated. The objective was to kill the Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) cure on behalf of Big Pharma.

While The Lancet article was retracted, the media casually blamed “a tiny US based company” named Surgisphere whose employees included “a sci-fi writer and adult content model” for spreading “flawed data” (Guardian). This Chicago based outfit was accused of having misled both the WHO and national governments, inciting them to ban HCQ. None of those trial tests actually took place.

While the blame was placed on Surgisphere, the unspoken truth (which neither the scientific community nor the media have acknowledged) is that the study was coordinated by Harvard professor Mandeep Mehra under the auspices of Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) which is a partner of the Harvard Medical School.

When the scam was revealed, Dr. Mandeep Mehra who holds the Harvey Distinguished Chair of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital apologized:

I have always performed my research in accordance with the highest ethical and professional guidelines. However, we can never forget the responsibility we have as researchers to scrupulously ensure that we rely on data sources that adhere to our high standards.

It is now clear to me that in my hope to contribute this research during a time of great need, I did not do enough to ensure that the data source was appropriate for this use. For that, and for all the disruptions – both directly and indirectly – I am truly sorry. (emphasis added)

An independent data and safety monitoring board (DSMB) overseeing the trial met on April 27 to review data and shared their interim analysis with the study team. Based upon their review of the data, they noted that remdesivir was better than placebo from the perspective of the primary endpoint, time to recovery, a metric often used in influenza trials. Recovery in this study was defined as being well enough for hospital discharge or returning to normal activity level.

Preliminary results indicate that patients who received remdesivir had a 31% faster time to recovery than those who received placebo (p<0.001). Specifically, the median time to recovery was 11 days for patients treated with remdesivir compared with 15 days for those who received placebo. Results also suggested a survival benefit, with a mortality rate of 8.0% for the group receiving remdesivir versus 11.6% for the placebo group (p=0.059). (emphasis added)

In the NIH’s earlier February 21, 2020 report (released at the outset of the study), the methodology was described as follows:

… A randomized, controlled clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the investigational antiviral remdesivir in hospitalized adults diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) …

Numbers. Where? When?

The February 21 report confirmed that the first trial participant was “an American who was repatriated after being quarantined on the Diamond Princess cruise ship” that docked in Yokohama (Japanese Territorial Waters). “Thirteen people repatriated by the U.S. State Department from the Diamond Princess cruise ship” were selected as patients for the placebo trial test. Ironically, at the outset of the study, 58.7% of the “confirmed cases” Worldwide (542 cases out of 924) (outside China), were on the Diamond Cruise Princess from which the initial trial placebo patients were selected.

Where and When: The trial test in the 68 selected sites? That came at a later date because on February 19th (WHO data), the US had recorded only 15 positive cases (see Table Below).

“A total of 68 sites ultimately joined the study—47 in the United States and 21 in countries in Europe and Asia.” (emphasis added)

In the final May 22 NEJM report entitled Remdesivir for the Treatment of Covid-19 — Preliminary Report:

There were 60 trial sites and 13 subsites in the United States (45 sites), Denmark (8), the United Kingdom (5), Greece (4), Germany (3), Korea (2), Mexico (2), Spain (2), Japan (1), and Singapore (1). Eligible patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either remdesivir or placebo. Randomization was stratified by study site and disease severity at enrollment

The Washington Post applauded Anthony Fauci’s announcement (April 29):

“The preliminary results, disclosed at the White House by Anthony S. Fauci, … fall short of the magic bullet or cure… But with no approved treatments for Covid-19,[Lie] Fauci said, it will become the standard of care for hospitalized patients …The data shows that remdisivir has a clear-cut, significant, positive effect in diminishing the time to recovery,” Fauci said.

Background Press Call on the Administration's Actions on the DACA Program

...

The administration was obviously very disappointed in Chief Justice Roberts’s decision at the Supreme Court a few weeks back.

The administration continues to have significant doubts about the policy - the DACA policy’s legality and the negative consequences that ensue from that policy for law enforcement, child welfare, and overall border security.

It’s important to note here, at the outset, that the Court did not rule that Obama’s program was lawful. The issue that the Court reached in its decision was only that the administration had insufficiently justified its wind-down of the DACA program. The court agreed that the administration can, in fact, pursue a wind-down of the DACA program.

And it’s also worth noting that even with the Court’s disposition, there is still significant ongoing litigation in challenging the DACA program in several federal district court jurisdictions across the country.

The administration is now undertaking a comprehensive review of the DACA program and the justifications that have been offered for winding DACA down, including its illegality and the negative effect the program has on what I’d call “immigration behavior,” including smuggling and illegal crossings.

When the administration next acts on DACA, it will be on the basis of the comprehensive review of the substantive legal and legal policy justifications offered for winding down the program.

Obviously, to do this correctly and thoughtfully, the review will have to take time. We won’t weigh in on how long that will take because it’s a question of a careful review of all the documentation that was provided to Deputy Secretary Duke, Attorney General Sessions, Secretary Nielsen, in the formation of their memos.

In the meantime, the administration will take the following actions on the existing DACA program:

All initial requests and application fees submitted for new filings will be rejected without prejudice should the policy be retained - the DACA policy be retained following the administration’s review.

We will adjudicate all applications for renewal on a case-by-case basis, consistent with immigration statute, providing one year, rather than the existing two-year renewal.

And consistent with this policy and the reasoning behind the original Napolitano departmental memo, all applications for advance parole will be rejected absent extraordinary circumstances.

The forthcoming memo issued today from the Department of Homeland Security will lay out the background and be pending actions in greater detail.

I’ll just say here, in conclusion: These actions will limit the scope of the program while DHS and the administration review its legality, the justifications for a possible wind-down, and other considerations relevant to deciding whether to keep or wind down the DACA policy.

ICE HSI Orlando, HSI Guatemala seize aircraft, cocaine

ORLANDO – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) seized 2,107 kilograms of cocaine and a Gulfstream III (GIII) jet for violating foreign law concerning narcotics by the Government of Guatemala. The July 26, 2020, seizure by HSI Guatemala was based on a collateral request by HSI Orlando and as part of the HSI HOMECORT National Aviation Trafficking Initiative.

“By using a variety of investigative techniques and leveraging strong partnerships, the coordination efforts during this investigation cannot be understated,” said HSI Orlando Assistant Special Agent in Charge David J. Pezzutti. “Targeting transnational criminal organizations, such as narcotics traffickers, has been a collective, team effort by several agencies and units which culminated in this substantial cocaine seizure.”

In March 2019, HSI Orlando received information the GIII would likely be sold and then used to transport illegal drugs. In April 2019, HSI Orlando began monitoring the aircraft.

The aircraft was sold and soon thereafter was taken to Mexico for numerous maintenance flights. On July 25, 2020, HSI Orlando was notified the GIII was en route to the Yucatán Peninsula on a field flight plan. Based on this notification, HSI Guatemala and the Joint Interagency Task Force - South (JIATF-S) were contacted to coordinate and prepare ground monitoring efforts to intercept the narcotics-laden aircraft. The aircraft flew into Venezuela and ended in Guatemalan territory where it was interdicted by the Guatemalan military. The narco-traffickers scuttled the aircraft and attempted to bury the cocaine. HSI Guatemala’s Transnational Criminal Investigative Unit was deployed and participated in the seizure, processing the evidence with Ministerio Publico. This investigation is targeting Guatemalan coordinators via the cocaine air bridge. HSI Guatemala will request evidence samples that will assist with future indictments in this ongoing case in the United States.

This is a joint HSI-led investigation being supported by Joint Task Force-Investigations HOMECORT, JIATF-S Tactical Analysis Team Guatemala, Federal Aviation Administration, the National Targeting Center-Investigations and U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air Marine Operations Center.

Former FBI Agent Peter Strzok to Release Memoir Depicting Trump as US 'National Security Threat'

Strzok was among the investigators in the 'Russia probe' conducted by US Special Counsel Robert Mueller, until being dismissed over the release of personal text messages in which he spoke highly unfavourably of President Donald Trump, one of the key people at the centre of the investigation.

Former FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok will release a memoir two months ahead of the 3 November presidential election, characterizing one of its candidates, incumbent President Donald Trump, as "a national security threat". Promotional materials for the book claim that the author draws on experience he has received throughout a career in counterintelligence to "lay bare the threat posed [to the US] by President Trump".

Strzok, a part of the Special Counsel Robert Mueller team investigating allegations about collusion between Russia and Trump's 2016 campaign, claims to have "seen more than enough to convince him that the commander in chief had fallen under the sway of America’s adversary in the Kremlin". The book further alleges that the discharged FBI agent was "forced out" of the bureau by the Trump administration over his "private expression of political opinions".

In fact, Strzok did not spend much time with Mueller's team, being excluded from it by Mueller himself in July 2017. In a subsequent two years of investigation, the so-called Russia probe found no hard evidence confirming that Trump's campaign had colluded with the Kremlin.

Furthermore, the Trump campaign had little to do with Strzok's expulsion from the FBI, as he was fired as a result of a Justice Department Inspector General investigation initiated by Republican congress members. The decision was made after investigators learned that in private messages with his lover, FBI agent Lisa Page, Strzok spoke highly unfavourably of a key subject of his investigation, Trump himself, and promised to prevent his election in 2016.

The memoir's promotional materials also justify Strzok's expertise in counterintelligence by pointing to his participation in the arrest of two Russian 'sleeper agents'. These agents were part of a larger group of 10 spies, who were arrested and expelled from the US in 2010 due to their identities becoming known to Washington after a member of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service defected.

“WE NEED YOUR HELP” – Brave Frontline COVID Doc Stella Immanuel Asks Patients Who Have Been Cured by HCQ to Speak Up

How many Americans have died of COVID-19 because the Democrat-media complex lied about Hydroxychloroquine?

Dr. Stella Immanuel bravely came out on Monday and said that she has personally treated over 350 patients suffering from COVID-19 with Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc, and Zithromax and they have all recovered.

The doctor also disclosed that she put herself and her staff on Hydroxychloroquine as a preventative.

“Americans don’t have to die! America, there is a cure for COVID!” she yelled. “You don’t need a mask! There is a cure!”

The tech tyrants worked together to remove videos of Dr. Stella Immanuel speaking about how she has successfully treated COVID-19 patients with Hydroxychloroquine.

Google, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube censored and removed video from yesterday’s “White Coat Summit” in Washington DC.

On Tuesday, Dr. Immanuel asked for help getting the truth about Hydroxychloroquine out to the public.

“WE NEED YOUR HELP. We are being attacked, ridiculed and discredited. We need our patients to SPEAK UP.” she said.

“If you have been cured by this drug, share your story online using this hashtag.” Dr. Immanuel added.

It is OBVIOUS that all these Democrats were told by their handlers that if the AG is ever saying anything they don't want the world to hear FROM THE AG HIMSELF, that they will just yell repeatedly "I am reclaiming my time! I reclaiming my time!"

What was Escobar getting at? That because the constitution does not explicitly say that the only votes that count should be from citizens of the country, that what, all of a sudden non-citizens should be able to vote in a country they are not even citizens of, no matter if human traffickers flood the country with hundreds of thousands or even millions of illegals?

Barr Opening Statement

William Barr: (00:00)

Good morning, Mr. Chairman, Ranking Member Jordan. I’m pleased to be here this morning.

William Barr: (00:07)

On behalf of the Department of Justice, I want to pay my respects to your colleague, Congressman John Lewis, an indomitable champion of civil rights and the rule of law. I think it is especially important to remember today that he pursued his cause passionately and successfully with unwavering commitment to non-violence.

William Barr: (00:29)

As I said in my confirmation hearing, the Attorney General has a unique obligation. He holds in trust the fair and impartial administration of justice. He must ensure that there is one standard of justice that applies to everyone equally and that criminal cases are handled evenhandedly based on the law and the facts and without regard to political or personal considerations.

William Barr: (00:55)

I can tell you that I’ve handled criminal matters that have come to me for a decision in this way. The President has not attempted to interfere in these decisions. On the contrary, he has told me from the start that he expects me to exercise my independent judgment to make whatever call I think is right. That is precisely what I’ve done.

William Barr: (01:16)

Indeed, it’s precisely because I feel complete freedom to do what I think is right that induced me to serve once again as Attorney General. As you just said, Mr. Chairman, I served as Attorney General under President George H. W. Bush; and after that, I spent many years in the corporate world. I’m almost 70 years old. I was almost 70 years old and slipping happily into retirement. I had nothing to prove, and I had no desire to return to government. I had no prior relationship with President Trump.

William Barr: (01:48)

Let me turn briefly to the several pressing issues of the day. The horrible killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis understandably jarred the whole country and forced us to reflect on longstanding issues in the nation. Those issues obviously relate to the relationship between law enforcement and the African-American community. Given our history, it’s understandable that among black Americans, there’s [inaudible 00:02:14] some ambivalence and often distrust toward the police. Until just last 50 years ago or so, our laws and our institutions were explicitly racist, explicitly discriminatory. It was not until the ’60s that the civil rights movement finally succeeded in tearing down the Jim Crow edifice. Our laws finally came to formally embody the guarantee of equal protection. Since then, the work of securing civil rights has rightly focused on reforming institutions to ensure they better conform to our laws and to our aspirations. That work, it’s important to acknowledge, has been increasingly successful. Police forces today are far more diverse than they’ve ever been, and there are both more black police chiefs and more black officers in the ranks.

William Barr: (03:09)

Although the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police was a shocking event, the fact is that these events are fortunately quite rare. According to statistics compiled by the Washington Post, the number of unarmed black men killed by police so far this year is eight. The number of unarmed white men killed by police over the same period of time is 11, and the overall numbers of police shootings have been decreasing. Nevertheless, every instance of excessive force is unacceptable and must be addressed appropriately through legal process, as is happening now in Minneapolis.
