Anti-Gun Hollywood Steps Up Armed Protection for Golden Globes

Actors and actresses in anti-gun Hollywood will be surrounded by armed security on Sunday as they attend the 77th annual Golden Globes.

New York Daily News reports Beverly Hill Police Department Capt. Michael Hill saying, “We have a robust security plan that includes assistance from our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners. Additionally, we will be using the most contemporary technologies in an attempt to ensure the ceremony is held without incident.”

Variety quotes Beverly Hills Police Lt. Robert Maycott noting that the US strike against Iran has not altered the security plan. Rather, he noted that “security is similar to what it was last year.”

Breitbart News reported that 2019 security included barricades, bomb-sniffing dogs, armed guards, LAPD officers, and numerous security checkpoints for attendees as they arrived for the Golden Globes.

Golden Globes security has been high level for many years. Breitbart News noted that the January 8, 2017, Golden Globes were surrounded by good guys with guns and body armor. There were also security dogs, SWAT, and special FBI teams taking part in security.

Breitbart noted that Matt Damon was at the 2017 awards, the very Matt Damon who made millions of dollars using guns in the Bourne film series, yet called for an Australia-like gun ban for the rest of America. Other gun controllers, including Jessica Chastain and Ryan Reynolds, were also in attendance, enjoying the benefits of good guys with guns while fighting off-screen to limit those benefits for average Americans.

The 2016 Golden Globes featured security personnel wearing tactical gear and carrying handguns and AR-15s with “high capacity” magazines, weapons that looked very similar to civilian guns so many Hollywood actors and actresses want to bar law-abiding citizens from owning.

U.S. Teen Killed in Cartel Attack Along Mexican Border Region Highway

A United States citizen teenager from Oklahoma died and several of his relatives sustained gunshot injuries after a squad of Mexican cartel gunmen ambushed them in Mexico near the border with Texas. The family was traveling back to the U.S. when the cartel hitmen attacked them on a highway.

The shooting took place on Saturday evening in Nueva Ciudad Guerrero, just south of Falcon Dam, when members of the Castillo family were traveling on two Chevrolet SUVs when a group of gunmen attacked them, information provided to Breitbart Texas by Tamaulipas law enforcement sources revealed.

According to initial law enforcement reports, the victims live in Oklahoma and traveled to Monterrey to visit relatives for the holidays. On their way back to Oklahoma, they were planning to travel toward Ciudad Mier in order to cross back into Texas through the Roma International Port of Entry. The attack took place near the 113-kilometer marker when a group of gunmen in SUVs tried to stop the family. The gunmen opened fire, striking the family several times. The gunfire caused the driver to crash and come to a stop. After the attack, the gunmen left the scene.

When authorities first responded to the scene of the attack, they had been alerted to a traffic accident. When they arrived, they discovered it was an attack and not an accident, law enforcement information provided to Breitbart Texas revealed.

In the attack, 13-year-old Oscar Castillo Lopez, a U.S. citizen from Oklahoma, died from the numerous gunshot injuries he sustained. Three of his relatives, including a 10-year-old girl, also sustained gunshot wounds. Once authorities were notified of the attack, they responded to the scene and rushed the victims to the University Hospital in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, where they are listed in serious condition.

The attack comes at a time when members of the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas have been carrying out a series of attacks in an attempt to take control of the region away from the Gulf Cartel. The Gulf Cartel currently controls that region of the border. As Breitbart Texas has reported, these attacks escalated into large scale gun battles where both cartels have used armored vehicles with mounted machine guns, grenade launchers, and other explosives.

In November, a similar case took place just south of the New Mexico border when a group of cartel gunmen attacked a U.S. family that was traveling north killing nine women and children, Breitbart Texas reported. That attack reignited the push to designate certain drug cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

Amin al-Husseini

Mohammed Amin al-Husseini (Arabic: ‎;[5] c. 1897[6][7] – 4 July 1974) was a Palestinian Arab nationalist and Muslim leader in Mandatory Palestine.[8]

Al-Husseini was the scion of a family of Jerusalemite notables,[9] who trace their origins to the eponymous grandson of Muhammad.[10] After receiving an education in Islamic, Ottoman, and Catholic schools, he went on to serve in the Ottoman army in World War I. At war's end he stationed himself in Damascus as a supporter of the Arab Kingdom of Syria. Following the Franco-Syrian War and the collapse of Arab Hashemite rule in Damascus, his early position on pan-Arabism shifted to a form of local nationalism for Palestinian Arabs and he moved back to Jerusalem. From as early as 1920 he actively opposed Zionism, and was implicated as a leader of the 1920 Nebi Musa riots. Al-Husseini was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment for incitement but was pardoned by the British.[11] In 1921 the British High Commissioner appointed him Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a position he used to promote Islam while rallying a non-confessional Arab nationalism against Zionism.[12][13] During the period 1921–1936 he was considered an important ally by the British Mandatory authorities.[14]

His opposition to the British peaked during the 1936–1939 Arab revolt in Palestine. In 1937, evading an arrest warrant, he fled Palestine and took refuge successively in the French Mandate of Lebanon and the Kingdom of Iraq, until he established himself in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. During World War II he collaborated with both Italy and Germany by making propagandistic radio broadcasts and by helping the Nazis recruit Bosnian Muslims for the Waffen-SS (on the ground that they shared four principles: family, order, the leader and faith). Also, as he told the recruits, Germany had not colonized any Arab country while Russia and England had.[15] On meeting Adolf Hitler he requested backing for Arab independence and support in opposing the establishment in Palestine of a Jewish national home. At the end of the war he came under French protection, and then sought refuge in Cairo to avoid prosecution for war crimes.

In the lead-up to the 1948 Palestine war, Husseini opposed both the 1947 UN Partition Plan and King Abdullah's designs to annex the Arab part of British Mandatory Palestine to Jordan, and, failing to gain command of the 'Arab rescue army' (jaysh al-inqadh al-'arabi) formed under the aegis of the Arab League, formed his own militia, al-jihad al-muqaddas. In September 1948 he participated in the establishment of an All-Palestine Government. Seated in Egyptian-ruled Gaza, this government won limited recognition by Arab states but was eventually dissolved by Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1959. After the war and subsequent Palestinian exodus, his claims to leadership were wholly discredited and he was eventually sidelined by the Palestine Liberation Organization, losing most of his residual political influence.[16] He died in Beirut, Lebanon in July 1974.

Husseini was and remains a highly controversial figure. Historians dispute whether his fierce opposition to Zionism was grounded in nationalism or antisemitism or a combination of both. Opponents of Palestinian nationalism have used Husseini's wartime residence and propaganda activities in Nazi Germany to associate the Palestinian national movement with European-style anti-Semitism.[17]

He asked Adolf Hitler for a public declaration that 'recognized and sympathized with the Arab struggles for independence and liberation, and that would support the elimination of a national Jewish homeland'.[181] Hitler refused to make such a public announcement, saying that it would strengthen the Gaullists against the Vichy France,[182] but asked al-Husseini "to lock ...deep in his heart" the following points, which Christopher Browning summarizes as follows, that

Germany has resolved, step by step, to ask one European nation after the other to solve its Jewish problem, and at the proper time, direct a similar appeal to non-European nations as well'. When Germany had defeated Russia and broken through the Caucasus into the Middle East, it would have no further imperial goals of its own and would support Arab liberation... But Hitler did have one goal. "Germany's objective would then be solely the destruction of the Jewish element residing in the Arab sphere under the protection of British power". ‘2020 Starts Pretty Well’: Footage Shows Air Canada Plane Losing One of Its Wheels During Take-Off

A video recorded and tweeted by a passenger claiming to be on board of the airplane heading from the city of Montreal to Saguenay, Quebec, in Canada reveals the alarming event.

A tweeted video revealed a wheel from a plane belonging to Air Canada Express detaching and falling off during takeoff from the Montréal–Trudeau International Airport. Flames were seen coming out a wheel on the left side of the plane during the departure, before it fell off and away from the landing gear superstructure.

The incident was recorded by a passenger aboard the flight. The passenger tweeted the footage with the caption: “Well, now I'm on an airplane that just lost a wheel... 2020 starts pretty well.”

The plane reportedly quickly turned back and landed safely in Montreal with no injuries reported.

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) dropped some interesting tidbits regarding the ongoing investigation into the Obama-era intelligence community and its actions during the 2016 US election.

In an appearance with Maria Bartiromo on Fox's Sunday Morning Futures, Ratcliffe said "Now we come up with evidence that’s recently been reported that one of the folks that John Durham talked to was an embassy official who reached out to George Papadopoulos three months before Crossfire Hurricane was ever opened," adding "That’s a sign that John Durham is looking at the fact that this may include Obama administration officials beyond law enforcement, perhaps to include our intelligence community."

As the Daily Caller's Chuck Ross noted in September of 2018, Special Counsel Robert Mueller interviewed US embassy official Terrence Dudley about his contacts during the 2016 election with Papadopoulos - several months before the FBI launched operation Crossfire Hurricane to officially investigate the Trump campaign.

Terrence Dudley, a former Navy commander who works with the Office of Defense Cooperation, told The Daily Caller News Foundation that Mueller’s office contacted him to discuss several meetings that he and a colleague had during the campaign with Papadopoulos.

The former Trump aide recently identified Dudley and his colleague, Greg Baker, in a tweet alleging that the pair were sent to spy on him on behalf of the U.S. government. -Daily Caller

Ratcliffe also said that Durham is looking into conflicting statements between former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan regarding the Steele Dossier.

They both testified under oath, before Congress and to investigators, to that fact," said Ratcliffe, who sits on the House Intelligence Committee.

Only Congress as the power to declare war. Congress has abdicated its duty for a long time now, instead issuing Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) without accepting the full responsibility.

POTUS is now forcing them to resume that duty and responsibility.

Considering how many are dual-citizens, POTUS has put them in the worst position possible

-they support Israel more than the US, therefore Israel's safety is primary

-they all have entanglements with domestic and foreign arms manufacturers and dealers

the spice must flow!

-they counted on the US continuing to give gobs of taxpayer $ to both Israel and other countries

that sweet, sweet foreign aid kickback dough

-they counted on the US to always be there to back up Israel militarily, while it destabilized the region while demonizing other countries

the IDF cries out in pain as it bombs others

-they have already bashed POTUS for wanting to withdraw troops from Syria

-they have already bashed POTUS for not being hard enough on Iran

while they wanted the "Iran deal"

-they and they alone can declare war, but didn't

-they now assert that authority

Trump Says "US Will Not Leave" Iraq Unless Billions For Air Base Are Repaid

Just hours after Iraq voted to expel US troops stationed in Iraq, Trump made it clear that he has no interest in vacating the nation that has been a stalwart US military outpost in the middle east for nearly two decades ever since it was invaded by, well, the US in search of fabricated weapons of mass destruction, and speaking to reporters on Air Force One said "we’re not leaving" unless Iraq "pays us back" for a US air base built in Iraq.

"We have a very extraordinarily expensive air base that’s there. It cost billions of dollars to build. Long before my time. We’re not leaving unless they pay us back for it." Trump told the AF1 reporter pool.

That, however, wasn't enough, and Trump also made it clear that that in addition to billions in reimbursements, unless the US left on a "very friendly basis", the US would hit Iraq with "very big" sanctions like "they’ve never seen before ever."

"If they do ask us to leave, if we don’t do it in a very friendly basis. We will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever. It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame."

And just to make it abundantly clear, Trump also added that "if there’s any hostility, that they do anything we think is inappropriate, we are going to put sanctions on Iraq, very big sanctions on Iraq."

Trump also addressed his Saturday threat to attack various Iranian cultural sites in retaliation to any escalation out of Tehran, threatening "major retaliation" on Iran if they "do anything" and saying that "they’re allowed to kill our people. They’re allowed to torture and maim our people. they’re allowed to use roadside bombs and blow up our people. And we’re not allowed to touch their cultural sites? It doesn’t work that way."
