Prince William vowed to solve some of the 'greatest problems' facing the world as he launched an ambitious multi-million pound environmental prize today.

The Duke of Cambridge, 37, today announced the Earthshot Prize - an ambitious decade-long project which will see a total of 50 environmental pioneers awarded a cash prize for their work tackling major problems across climate and energy, nature and biodiversity, oceans, air pollution and fresh water.

The project, which will span the globe and seeks to produce 'at least 50 solutions by 2030', was launched with a video narrated by Sir David Attenborough that was shared on the @KensingtonRoyal Instagram page.

It is understood that as part of the prize millions of pounds will be given away each year, with five winners recognised each year for 10 years.

Asked about the funding, Kensington Palace told MailOnline that a ‘global coalition of philanthropists and organisation support the prize’, adding that more details would be provided later in 2020. The initiative is not being funded by the palace.

In addition to a significant financial award, winners will receive large-scale public recognition for their work that will aim to inspire business and government collaboration and scaling.

Today I’m at the funeral of my dear friend Christopher Booker.

Were he alive — and I still can’t quite believe he is not — I know exactly what we’d have been talking about this morning: the risible section of last night’s Newsnight which the BBC had cobbled together in a sad, desperate, and unconvincing attempt to debunk the Climategate scandal.

Climategate is fast approaching its tenth anniversary (which falls in November). Naturally the BBC — as one of the key promoters of the man-made global warming scare — is keen to get its excuses in early.

Why, by the genius move of speaking to some of the activist-scientists implicated in the Climategate scandal and getting them to explain how it was always a lot of fuss about nothing.

I particularly enjoyed the contribution from NASA GISS’s director Gavin Schmidt.

“I had about 400 emails in the hacked email package…15 years of emails and people were picking and choosing out of them. People were kind of like putting them together in weird orders that made it seem like one email was talking about this event when it was really talking about something else. There was a lot of confusion.”

Schmidt is being disingenuous here.

It really doesn’t matter in what order you rearrange the Climategate emails.

You get the same result every time: a bunch of second-raters bullying dissenters, troughing lavish grants, racking up air miles on conference freebies, cooking the books, manipulating the evidence, torturing the data till it screams in order to make man-made global warming look like a much more significant and well-understood problem than it actually is.

The implicated scientists have come up with all manner of excuses since: it’s a war on science conducted by the evil Big-Oil-funded right; it has all been taken out of context; the incriminating emails don’t mean what the deniers claim they mean; the Climategate scientists have been exonerated by three inquiries; etc.

Meanwhile, in the real world, no convincing evidence whatsoever has emerged to support the threadbare theory that anthropogenic CO2 is causing the planet to warm in ways which are dangerous or unprecedented.

Still, the theory rests entirely on computer models which, increasingly, appear to diverge from the actual observed data.

Booker knew all this. He’d done his homework, written the definitive book on the subject, and was too honest and rigorous and fearless to soft-pedal his position by claiming that “Of course, I recognize that man-made global warming may be a problem…” because he knew that it wasn’t.

He never doubted that one day the great global warming scare would come to an end for the simple reason that nature is on the side of the skeptics, not the alarmists.

But nor did he kid himself that the scam was going to end any time soon — not least because of the way it has been so assiduously, unquestioningly promoted by influential institutions like the BBC.

White House bids are known to be a good way to prepare for the Oval Office’s rigors, which includes vetting by West Wing staff to prevent problematic people meeting with the president. But the Washington Examiner has found several cases in which the campaign of 2020 Democrat Elizabeth Warren failed to flag people whom her rivals’ teams would have likely avoided.

This month, Warren, 70, boasted an endorsement by an alleged serial predator who was mistakenly included on a list of more than 200 Obama alumni backing her for president. Ed Buck, 65, was arrested in September over accusations that he preyed on black men by offering them free drugs before sexually assaulting them at his Los Angeles home. Buck, a Democratic Party megadonor, was charged with three counts of battery causing serious injury, administering methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug house. Federal authorities also charged him with one count of distribution of methamphetamine resulting in death. "This was a mistake considering Ed Buck was not staff or an alum. This was put together via Google Docs by some Obama alums, and they caught some nonstaff that populated the list, but obviously, they missed one. They are removing it," Warren spokesman Chris Hayden told the Washington Examiner.

Buck joined Anoa Changa in supporting Warren. Changa, a regular on Russia propaganda network Sputnik during 2016, announced her backing of Warren last month via a collective endorsement from Black Womxn For. The Atlanta-based liberal activist and political commentator, who is also a fan of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and had show support for Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein, was the subject of a 2018 Atlanta NPR-affiliate profile that suggested she was unwittingly helping “Russia’s effort to create chaos in the U.S.” She has also voiced skepticism over Kremlin interference in the 2016 election cycle. A Warren spokeswoman didn’t immediately respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment. Changa declined to provide an on-the-record statement but responded to the article in an opinion piece.

“People need to understand the nature of social media but also how little access Black people have to traditional forms of media before admonishing me for participating in a platform that is respectful of my insight and voice,” Changa wrote. “Acting as if there is a single bogeyman or that everything is automatically tainted is a real problem. There is nothing wrong with scrutiny and asking questions. There is everything wrong with distorting and misrepresentation Black women particularly when Democrats are content to ride on our backs.”

Warren was also endorsed in November by John Dabeet, president of Americans and Palestinians for Peace and Muscatine, Iowa, school board member. Dabeet has ripped pro-Israel lawmakers as “puppets” and praised the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat as a “martyr.” Dabeet’s approval followed Ashlee Marie Preston, a Los Angeles-based transgender advocate and paid Warren supporter, apologizing in October for firing off a string of homophobic and racist tweets, including calling a gay man a “mahfukkan faggot” and asking “Latino and Asian businsses … 2 stop being rude & fukn disrespectful” and “fukn” speak “English 2.”

Timeline of US-China trade talks in 2019: All the twists and turns

President Trump engaged in a running trade war with Beijing through the entirety of 2019, threatening and enacting tariffs at times while pulling back at other points in the hopes of getting a broader deal. Ultimately, the efforts brought the White House little closer to a deal with Beijing than it was at the beginning of the year. Here is a timeline of the major events throughout the year.

Jan. 7-9 — U.S. officials arrive in Beijing for preliminary talks, and both sides express optimism following conclusion of the talks, with the United States noting Chinese commitment to buy U.S. goods.

Jan. 30-31 — Chinese Vice Premier Liu He arrives in the U.S. for talks. Trump emphasizes that no deal is final until he and Chinese President Xi Jinping jointly agree to it.

Feb. 21-24 — Liu returns to the U.S. for talks with his counterparts U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. The talks are extended two days beyond the initial schedule. Trump announces via Twitter that some Chinese tariffs increases scheduled for March are being delayed. Trump and Lighthizer engage in an impromptu public debate over what constitutes putting a trade deal in writing.

March 1 — The Trump administration officially halts a planned increase in tariffs on $200 billion worth of goods to 25%, up from 10%, to allow for further talks between trade negotiators. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the Trump administration is seeking the ability to enact "automatic" tariffs as an enforcement mechanism if China violates any deal.

March 20 — Trump says he will not lift existing tariffs until he is certain Beijing is abiding by any deal, despite Chinese officials saying that removal of tariffs is crucial to any progress.

'April 30-May 1' — Lighthizer and Mnuchin return to Beijing for talks. Behind the scenes, a breakdown occurs when Beijing rejects policy changes that U.S. negotiators thought had already been agreed to. U.S. negotiators claim Beijing reneged on elements of the deal.

May 5 — Trump announces in a tweet that, starting on May 10, he will hike tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods to 25%, up from 10%, in order to pressure Beijing to reach a deal. In the following days Trump explains that China "broke" the existing deal and is being punished. China rejects the claim that any deal existed.

'May 8 '— Trump claims Beijing is deliberately slow-walking trade talks in the hopes that he is defeated for reelection and replaced with a Democrat.

May 10 — Trump threatens further tariff hikes on $300 billion worth of goods. Beijing vows to retaliate.

June 1 — Beijing places tariffs on $60 billion worth of U.S. goods.

June 6 — Trump says that he will decide on whether to impose 25% tariffs on $300 billion of Chinese goods on Dec. 15 after the G-20 summit in Japan at the end of the month. He says his administration is preparing "at least" $300 billion in new tariffs on their goods if the talks fall apart.

June 28-29 — Trump and Xi meet at the G-20 Summit in Osaka, Japan, and agree to a cooling period in the trade war. Trump declares the talks "back on track."

During colonial times, European powers exploited Africa for the vast resources that it possesses. But what China is doing today is actually much worse. Yes, the Chinese greatly desire African resources, but ultimately what they want is Africa itself. But instead of conquering Africa using military force, China is using economics instead. Today, more than 10,000 Chinese-owned firms are operating in Africa, and virtually every major road, bridge, railway and skyscraper is being built by the Chinese. Most of the “cities” that China is building are known as “special economic zones”. For example, one of the biggest has been built right next to Lagos, Nigeria…

Next to Lagos, Nigeria, Chinese developers have built a walled-off “special economic zone”–basically a separate city, with separate rules designed to attract investors–based on a model they’ve used inside China for the last 30 years. After Shenzhen became a special economic zone in the 1980s, it went from a small town of 20,000 to, by some counts, 15 million today.

In these “special economic zones”, you will find Chinese factories staffed with Chinese managers that are supervising Chinese workers that are using Chinese equipment to make their products.

Earlier this month (December 2019) The Nazareth Magistrate’s Court in Israel lifted a gag order on a two-year investigation into a suspected baby trafficking ring. In February 2019 Israeli police arrested five people, including an American rabbi who heads a yeshiva, for allegedly running an international baby trafficking ring that targeted mentally disabled mothers.

The Jewish Journal further reports: Puretz, who denies the allegations, is accused of sending Israeli expectant mothers in need or suffering from a mental disability from within haredi Orthodox communities to the United States so they would give birth there. Many details about the affair, including how much money the handlers allegedly charged, are still subject to a gag order. Yediot Aharanot reported in a 2017 expose about the affair that they charged a $100,000 to $150,000 “handling fee” per child.

China Cuts Reserve Ratio By 50bps Ahead Of January's $400 Billion "Liquidity Hole"

Just three days after China quietly cut rates by 20bps when it ordered banks to switch from the traditional Benchmark 1 year rate to the new Loan Prime Rate (aka China's LIBOR) as the reference rate for new short-term loans, effectively lowering the prevailing rate from 4.35% to 4.15% (in the process further pressuring bank net interest margins), on the first day of the new 2020, the PBOC unveiled widely expected another boost for the slowing Chinese economy: the central bank announced that starting Jan 6, it will lower the required reserve ratio (RRR) - or the amount of money banks are required to have on hand - by 50bps for commercial lenders, in the process releasing about 800 billion yuan ($115 billion) in liquidity from the cash-strapped financial system.

Currently the required reserve ratio is 13% for large banks and 11% for small banks. The cut, which is the first since September, will bring the blended reserve ratio for Chinese banks to the lowest level since October 2007.

The 50bps RRR cut is meant to help banks reduce their lending rate to businesses, the PBOC said in a separate statement, which is ironic because while on one hand the PBOC pressures commercial banks by ordering them to lower the amount of interest they can charge customers by 20bps (with the benchmark rate recalibration), on the other it boosts systemic liquidity to offset the adverse effects of its first action, something we predicted would happen earlier this week, to wit:... with more than half of China's banks failing a recent central bank stress test, the only guaranteed outcome from this weekend's effective rate cut is that, paradoxically, it will only accelerate the rate of failure of China's already cash strapped, and in many cases insolvent, banks. As such we expect that the PBOC will promptly follow through with another RRR cut to offset the adverse side-effects of this particular rate cut, by injecting more liquidity in the banking system.

Of course, it wasn't just us predicting an imminent RRR reduction: the cut was first signaled by Chinese premier Li Keqiang in December 2019. It’s also in line with market expectations that the PBOC will increase funding to the financial system in January to ease a liquidity crunch caused by rising local government debt sales and increasing cash demand during the Spring Festival holidays.

As a reminder, two weeks ago we warned that China is facing a potentially destabilizing "liquidity hole" of 2.8 trillion yuan ($400 billion) in January as people across the nation will withdraw cash for the Lunar New Year holiday, which this year falls on Jan 25. China’s most important annual holiday is a time when companies and individuals typically need large amounts of cash on hand to pay bonuses, clear debts and cover other expenses. In addition to seasonal cash needs, China's bond market also faces a major maturity deluge, as more than 2 trillion yuan in notes mature in early 2020, and fresh debt to refinance the borrowing thus shoring up economic growth will probably start hitting the market soon.

Sure enough, in addition to offsetting the reduced net interest margin, the PBOC said that the injection will be offset as banks provide more cash to the public before the Spring Festival, and the overall liquidity level at banks will be kept stable. "Prudent monetary policy stance remains unchanged," it added.

It was fears about an impending liquidity shortfall that sent China's 1Month SHIBOR to the highest level in one year, briefly touching 3% a few days ago.However, now that China is engaged in a delicate balancing act, on one hand reducing the amount of cash banks can earn by lending money to customers, and on the other releasing systemic liquidity, the question is whether the PBOC's latest efforts to stimulate the economy will destabilize the banking sector further.

Addressing just this, the PBOC said the planned reduction will save about 15 billion yuan in funding costs for banks in a year, indicating that the benchmark loan prime rate will likely be lowered as banks reduce their submissions for the rate’s calculation in late January, which in turn will force the PBOC to cut the RRR further, resulting in an even lower loan prime rates and so forth, which brings to mind a recent striking op-ed published in the Global Times, which predicted that China would be the next major country to cut rates to zero.

New NGO to document family courts and parental alienation worldwide

Systematic abuse of families and children to be documented by Children & Families International - a new NGO launched to defend the family.

The closed door practice in family courts worldwide has given parents little recourse to justice. Thousands of people across the globe are suffering from the loss of their children; ridiculous decisions by social workers who wield unlimited powers, and judges who often dismiss the truth. Ghosn met Lebanese president after fleeing Japan

Fugitive former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn met Lebanon’s president after his escape from Japan, where he was smuggled out of house arrest by a private security company, two sources close to Ghosn said on Wednesday.

One of the sources said Ghosn was greeted warmly by President Michel Aoun on Monday after flying into Beirut via Istanbul and was now in a buoyant and combative mood and felt secure.

In his meeting at the presidency, Ghosn thanked Aoun for the support he had given him and his wife Carole while he was in detention, the sources said. He now needs the protection and security of his government after fleeing Japan, they added.

A media advisor to the president’s office denied the two men had met.

Lebanese officials have said there would be no need to take legal measures against Ghosn because he entered the country legally on a French passport, although Ghosn’s French, Lebanese, and Brazilian passports are with lawyers in Japan.

The French and Lebanese foreign ministries have said they were unaware of the circumstances of his journey. Lebanon has no extradition agreement with Japan, where he faced trial on charges of financial misconduct, which he denied.

Homeland Security Chief Orders Review Of State Laws Allowing Driver’s Licenses For Illegal Aliens

Chad Wolf, the acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ordered a review of state laws that allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses and restrict data sharing with federal immigration authorities.

Wolf on Tuesday ordered all of the components of DHS to conduct a department-wide review of the state laws to determine how they affect their day-to-day operations, according to a memo obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The DHS chief’s directive indicates he is prepared to take aim against the state laws.

“Accordingly, I am instructing each operational component to conduct an assessment of the impact of these laws, so that the Department is prepared to deal with and counter these impacts as we protect the homeland,” Wolf’s memo read.

The memo follows implementation of New York’s “Green Light” law, and passage of a similar bill in New Jersey in December. Both laws not only allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses, but also restrict DMV data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security.

In New York, in particular, numerous county clerks have expressed reservation over the fact that illegal aliens can obtain a driver’s license with foreign documentation — arguing that such a policy paves the way for voter fraud, identity theft, and even terrorism. DHS had already voiced its opposition to a provision in the New York law that prohibits Homeland security Investigations, a division of ICE, from accessing DMV information — even if the agency is investigating serious crimes.

“Laws like New York’s greenlight law have dangerous consequences that have far reaches beyond the DMV,” DHS spokeswomen Heather Swift said Tuesday. “These types of laws make it easier for terrorists and criminals to obtain fraudulent documents and also prevent DHS investigators from accessing important records that help take down child pornography and human trafficking rings and combat everything from terrorism to drug smuggling.”

A total of 14 states allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses in the U.S.

Wolf’s memo ordered DHS agencies to assess the following: What DMV information is currently available and how is it accessed? How is the DMV information used in day-to-day operations? What are the security consequences and long-term impacts if information is limited?

The memo also directs agencies to seek solutions for any security consequences that arise from the state laws.

“Never before in our history have we seen politicians make such rash and dangerous decisions to end all communication and cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security law enforcement,” Swift continued. “The Secretary is prepared to take every measure necessary to ensure the safety and security of the homeland and we look forward to the recommendations of our agents and officers in the field.”

Newly released FOIA documents reveal former FBI chief Andrew McCabe lied to FBI investigators about leaking information to the Wall Street Journal in the final weeks of the 2016 election.

Former FBI chief Andrew McCabe faced scorching criticism and potential criminal prosecution for changing his story about a conversation he had with a Wall Street Journal reporter. Now newly released interview transcripts show McCabe expressed remorse to internal FBI investigators when they pressed him on the about-face.

The FBI released the documents in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by the government watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). They provide fresh details about the investigation into a leak to the Journal, McCabe’s role in it, and the reaction of agents who investigated it.

In the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign, the Journal broke news about an FBI investigation involving then-candidate Hillary Clinton, describing internal discussions among senior FBI officials.

The apparent leak drew scrutiny from the bureau’s internal investigation team, which interviewed McCabe on May 9, 2017, the day President Donald Trump fired James Comey from his post as FBI director. The agents interviewed him as part of an investigation regarding a different media leak to the online publication Circa, and also asked him about the Journal story.

In that interview, McCabe said he did not know how the Journal story came to be. But a few months later, his story changed after he reviewed his answer.

McCabe knowingly lied to FBI investigators about his role in leaking documents to the Wall Street Journal.

New U.S. Census data shows that Illinois’ population fell again in 2019, making this the sixth year in a row Illinois has shrunk.

Here are the key facts you need to know:

1. Illinois’ population fell by 51,000 in 2019, the 2nd-most in the nation.

Only New York lost more people than Illinois in 2019.

Illinois also had the third-worst loss as a percentage of population. Only West Virginia and Alaska lost more in percentage terms.

Overall, Illinois shrunk the most of any state in the nation between 2010 and 2019. There are now 170,000 fewer people in Illinois today than in 2010.

2. Illinois has lost population six years in a row.

Cumulatively, the state has lost 223,000 people since 2014. That’s the equivalent of losing the entire city of Aurora.

Only West Virginia and Connecticut have also lost population for six years or more.

3. Illinois netted a loss of nearly 105,000 residents to domestic out-migration in 2019.

A key reason for Illinois’ loss in population is its continuous stream of residents leaving the state. Illinois lost a net of 105,000 residents to other states in 2019.

4. Illinois has one of the worst rates of domestic out-migration.

Illinois’ domestic migration losses are some of the nation’s worst. When measured per 1,000 people, Illinois lost over 8 people to out-migration in 2019, the 4th-highest in the nation.

And as the list below shows, none of Illinois’ neighbors come close to those losses. Michigan lost 2.4 people per 1,000 residents. Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin were almost flat. And Indiana actually had positive net migration.

5. Illinois’ neighbors are gaining population.

Bad weather – the favorite excuse of those who deny Illinois’ population problems – is not to blame for the state’s ills.

All of Illinois’ neighboring states gained population in 2019. In fact, Indiana gained nearly 37,000 people last year – 2/3rds of what Illinois lost.

Overall, Illinois has lost about 1.3 percent of its population since 2010. And while Illinois has shrunk six years in a row, none of its neighbors have shrunk even once in that time period.

Illinois politicians seem to have no plan to stem the state’s population losses. There’s no talk of an amendment to the pension protection clause nor are there plans to address the drivers of Illinois’ second-highest-in-the-nation property taxes.

Instead, their only plan is a for of a multi-billion dollar progressive tax hike – something that will only chase even more people out.

Libya’s War Escalates as the Stakes Get Higher

The LNA’s decision to target the az Zawiya Oil installation may be seen as a proxy blow to Turkey’s interests in Libya, because Turkey purchases oil for as low as $10 per barrel from such terminals.

Libya’s Government of National Accord has little time to sort out the mess it is in, with the Libyan National Army making some progress in Tripoli’s suburbs. LNA warlord Haftar’s strike on the Zawiya Oil installation near al Harsha in west Tripolitania on the 27th of December resulted in drastic damage to the facility causing Libya’s National Oil Company to warn about potential evacuation of offices nearby.*

The LNA’s decision to target the az Zawiya Oil installation may be seen as a proxy blow to Turkey’s interests in Libya, because Turkey purchases oil for as low as $10 per barrel from such terminals. Warlord Haftar does not suffer, because Cyrenaica oil is largely produced and processed in eastern Libya.

The Libyan National Army’s fortunes have improved recently with a new influx of weaponry and funds supplied by the United Arab Emirates. After setbacks in Gharayan the LNA has recovered due to weaponry, supplies, and mercenary air attacks on Misrata (mostly supported by the UAE) where Misrata provides most resistance to the LNA outside of Tripoli.** From December 21st, 2019, Haftar has mounted a particularly effective offensive around Tarhunah, driving the GNA back (nearly) to the suburbs of Tripoli itself.

The position of the United States is somewhat opaque regarding support for the Libya National Army, but indications are that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Egypt were successful in convincing the US to allow Saudi and Egypt a free hand to back and arm Haftar. The Libyan National Army declared a no-fly zone over Tripoli in late November, which has proved effective, in support of LNA air strikes on the capital by mercenary pilots. Together, these events caused Haftar to once again demand that the GNA surrender, on December 30th, 2019.

Court documents say Paul Petersen arranged travel for pregnant women from the Republic of the Marshall Islands to Arizona to give up their children. Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen has been indicted in an international adoption fraud scheme that involves human smuggling, sale of children and communications fraud, multiple state attorneys general confirmed Tuesday evening. The Arizona Attorney General’s office did not provide additional details but said it will hold a news conference Wednesday morning to talk about the charges the elected Maricopa County official faces in multiple states. A release from the Utah Attorney General's Office says Petersen was arrested in California Tuesday evening. The Utah Attorney General said it is charging Petersen with human smuggling, sale of a child and communications fraud.

According to Arizona court documents, Petersen—an adoption lawyer licensed in Utah and Arizona—and Lynwood Jennet helped pregnant women travel from the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the central Pacific Ocean to Arizona to give up their children for adoption. The court documents say the women returned directly to the Marshall Islands in several instances. The Utah Attorney General's Office said Petersen also transported more than 40 pregnant Marshallese women into Utah over the last three years.

Been digging some more on Lou Dobbs, according to his Wikipedia he worked in Phoenix during the mid to late 1970s. That would put him in Phoenix during the Don Bolles murder. At the time of the murder KTAR was owned by Karl Eller (Combined Communications Corp) a businessman from Chicago. Don Bolles car was blown up right down the street from KTAR.

When AOC first hit the scene it was a bit shocking how stupid she came across. It didn't take long before I started noticing how she was gradually dividing the Dems while undercutting Pelosi's power. The more this went on the more I wondered if AOC was a plant to do just that. She did say she auditioned for the role of Congress which frankly is a bit weird right there but then admitted it freely to the media. You would have thought she would have kept her mouth shut. But nope...not AOC.

AOC is the gift that keeps on giving. If she isn't a plant then the Dems really screwed the pooch but if she is a plant I wondered how would they get rid of her when the time was right.

"Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may be a rising star in the Democratic Party, but the district she represents could potentially not exist following the 2020 Census since New York is expected to lose as many as two House seats. According to The City, nearly 47 percent of her district is foreign-born, and more than a quarter are not citizens—both are segments of the population that are often underrepresented in the census due to concerns of taking part in an official government count, and her district has a higher percentage than any other district. This could mean that her district could be divided up in reapportionment, meaning that she might have to face another incumbent to stay in Congress. Frank Luntz says that the state’s Democrats are actually looking to “draw out” her district."

If she is a plant she continues to make Dems look bad dealing with the Census.

Iran: Trump’s $200bn Sanctions Have Wiped Out Obama’s $150bn Nuclear Deal

The sanctions imposed by President Donald Trump on Iran have more than erased the benefits given by President Barack Obama under the nuclear deal, according to numbers presented by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Under the Iran deal, Iran gained renewed access to up to $150 billion in assets that had been previously frozen. The Obama administration also infamously gave Iran nearly $2 billion in cash for the release of American prisoners who were effectively hostages. The money is believed to have been used, in part, to fund Iranian terror operations.

Rouhani, quoted by Bloomberg News, said Tuesday that U.S. sanctions have cost the country some $200 billion:

Renewed U.S. sanctions have cost Iran $200 billion in foreign-exchange income and investment, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Tuesday.

Sanctions have deprived the Islamic Republic of $100 billion in oil revenue in the last two years and an equal amount in foreign investment credit, Rouhani said in a televised speech, according to his official website.

The sanctions have punished Iran for its role in developing weapons of mass destruction; for its sponsorship of terror groups in the region and worldwide; and for its repressive human rights abuses against its own citizens.

de Blasio's New York: Former Rikers Inmates Using Taxpayer-Funded Debit Cards To Buy Liquor, Tobacco

Today in "why Democrats simply should never be allowed to allocate government capital" news, it it being reported that former inmates at Riker's Island are now using their government-issued debit cards to buy booze and Juul pods.

The news comes just days after we reported that inmates were receiving training on how to become Starbucks baristas for "job security" purposes once they are released.

The debit cards were part of a "soft on crime city initiative" by beta male bleeding heart Mayor Bill de Blasio that provided ex-inmates with two $25 gift cards, according to the NY Post.

JR, an employee at a liquor store near Riker's Island, has said that her store was refusing to sell to the cardholders.

The liquor store employee said: “We’ve had more people coming in with the visa things. No, we don’t take that, no gift cards, none of that. People come in here always trying to find a way to pay without really paying.”

City Sliquors, another liquor store along the Riker's Island bus route, said ex-inmates "didn't seem to understand why their payment wasn't accepted".

Top 5 most outrageous 2020 doomsday predictions that didn't pan out

Will the world end in 12 years? Maybe 30?

If history is any guide, it will not. Many similar predictions have been made in the past, but they came and went without tragedy.

Here are the five worst predictions made about 2020 that failed to pan out.

1. The U.S. may warm 6 degrees F from 1990 to 2020

In 1990, The Washington Post reported in a front page story: "Carbon dioxide is the gas most responsible for predictions that Earth will warm on average by about 3 degrees Fahrenheit by the year 2020."

The outlet further warned: "The United States, because it occupies a large continent in higher latitudes, could warm by as much as 6 degrees Fahrenheit."

Thirty years later, 2020 has finally arrived. The Earth has warmed approximately 1 degree Fahrenheit according to NASA. The United States also warmed roughly 1 degree.

Elliott Negin, a spokesman for the Union of Concerned Scientists, declined to comment.

The latest UN IPCC report, AR5, however, addresses the issue of whether their models were accurate. (The UN predictions differed from the 1990 Washington Post ones, which did not cite its source.)

The latest UN report shows that current temperatures are just within the UN’s old predictions made in 1990, but acknowledges that actual temperatures came in “on the lower end” of expectations.

The UN report partly credits a 1991 volcanic eruption in the Philippines for the lower-than-expected warming, and says the new models account for volcanoes.

The UN now predicts a rise of about 2 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit from today to the year 2100.

US Interfered in Elections of at Least 85 Countries Worldwide Since 1945

America has a long history of meddling in the elections of foreign countries, new research shows

The simmering tit-for-tat has kept the issue of election meddling burning bright in the national spotlight, fueled even further by the belief among U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia wanted to help Donald Trump capture the presidency. Yet neither country is a stranger when it comes to directly trying to sway the election of other nations. In fact, the U.S. has a long and stunning history of attempting to influence foreign presidential elections, recent research by political scientist Dov Levin shows.

Levin, a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Politics and Strategy at Carnegie-Mellon University, found that the U.S. attempted to influence the elections of foreign countries as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000.

Comment: That’s just till 2000! The US has gone nuts since then.

Often covert in their execution, these efforts included everything from CIA operatives running successful presidential campaigns in the Philippines during the 1950s to leaking damaging information on Marxist Sandanistas in order to sway Nicaraguan voters in 1990. All told, the U.S. allegedly targeted the elections of 45 nations across the globe during this period, Levin’s research shows. In the case of some countries, such as Italy and Japan, the U.S. attempted to intervene in four or more separate elections.

Levin’s figures do not include military coups or regime change attempts following the election of a candidate the U.S. opposed, such as when the CIA helped overthrow Mohammad Mosaddeq, Iran’s democratically elected prime minister, in 1953.

Comment: If we add those in, we’re looking at the entire Earth having suffered from US meddling.

He defines an electoral intervention as “a costly act which is designed to determine the election results [in favor of] one of the two sides.” According to Levin’s research, that includes: peddling misinformation or propaganda; creating campaign material for preferred candidates or parties; providing or withdrawing foreign aid, and; making public announcements that threaten or favor certain candidates. Often, it also includes the U.S. covertly delivering large sums of cash, as was the case in elections in Japan, Lebanon, Italy, and other countries.

To build his database, Levin says he relied on declassified U.S. intelligence as well as a number of Congressional reports on CIA activity. He also combed through what he considered reliable histories of the CIA and covert American activity, as well as academic research on U.S. intelligence, diplomatic histories of the Cold War, and memoirs of former CIA officials. Much of America’s meddling in foreign elections has been well-documented – Chile in the 1960s, Haiti in the 1990s. But Malta in 1971? According to Levin’s study, the U.S. attempted to “goose” the tiny Mediterranean island’s economy in the months leading up to its election that year.

Much of the America’s electoral meddling occurred throughout the Cold War as a response to containing Soviet influence through the spread of supposed leftist proxies, the findings suggest. And to be clear, the U.S. wasn’t the only one trying to sway foreign elections. By Levin’s count, Russia attempted to interfere in other countries’ elections 36 times between the end of World War II and the end of the 20th century, bringing the total number of electoral interventions by the two countries to 117 during that period.

Comment: That’s why it was cunningly smart of the US deep state to take this tack when it became apparent to them this time last year that Trump was going to win and their globalist agenda was going to take a hit: Russia (the USSR) has a track record of doing this, so it’s sort of plausible-ish that Putin has revived the practice (he hasn’t – he doesn’t need to).

Yet even after the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the U.S. continued its interventions abroad, including elections in Israel, former Czechoslovakia, and even Russia in 1996, Levin found. Since 2000, the U.S. has attempted to sway elections in Ukraine, Kenya, Lebanon, and Afghanistan, among others.

Human trafficking erodes personal dignity and destroys the moral fabric of society. It is an affront to humanity that tragically reaches all parts of the world, including communities across our Nation. Each day, in cities, suburbs, rural areas, and tribal lands, people of every age, gender, race, religion, and nationality are devastated by this grave offense. During National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to eradicate this horrific injustice.

Trafficking crimes are perpetrated by transnational criminal enterprises, gangs, and cruel individuals. Through force, fraud, coercion, and sexual exploitation of minors, traffickers rob countless individuals of their dignity and freedom, splinter families, and threaten the safety of our communities. In all its forms, human trafficking is an intolerable blight on any society dedicated to freedom, individual rights, and the rule of law.

Human trafficking is often a hidden crime that knows no boundaries. By some estimates, as many as 24.9 million people ‑- adults and children — are trapped in a form of modern slavery around the world, including in the United States. Human traffickers exploit others through forced labor or commercial sex, and traffickers profit from their victims’ horrific suffering. The evil of human trafficking must be defeated. We remain relentless in our resolve to bring perpetrators to justice, to protect survivors and help them heal, and to prevent further victimization and destruction of innocent lives.

This year marks nearly 20 years since our Nation took decisive steps in the global fight against human trafficking by enacting the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA) and nearly 15 years since the United States ratified the United Nations’ Palermo Protocol to Prevent, Suppress, and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children (Palermo Protocol). Both the TVPA and the Palermo Protocol established a comprehensive framework for combating human trafficking by establishing prevention programs, creating victim protections, and advancing prosecutions under expanded criminal statutes to usher in the modern anti-trafficking movement domestically and globally. These two measures illustrate a global consensus on the issue, and yet as a Nation we must continue to work proactively to foster a culture of justice and accountability for this horrific crime.

The Duke of York’s accuser has vowed to “take down the one per cent” who think they are above the law as her case is set to return to court later this month.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims she was trafficked to the UK to have sex with Prince Andrew, vowed to make 2020 “a year to be remembered in history” as the investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continues.

It came as a court date was set for January 16, when a New York judge will consider whether to unseal a tranche of documents containing explosive new allegations against Epstein.

The hearing will also “address notification of third parties named in the documents,” one of whom is believed to be the Duke.

The 59-year-old was effectively sacked from his role as a working royal after an interview he gave to the BBC’s Newsnight backfired when he failed to show any empathy for Epstein’s victims or regret over his friendship with the disgraced financier.

He is facing the prospect of further damaging claims about their relationship if the US judge decides to unseal more than 3,000 pages of new evidence.

The documents include depositions from 29 people, including a number of new witnesses and Epstein himself.

Hundreds of people named in the documents were expected to have been formally notified by the end of last year to give them a chance to respond to the allegations.

The Duke’s name appears in the evidence along with a number of prominent politicians and businessmen, it is understood, although Buckingham Palace declined to comment when asked whether or not he had been contacted by the court.

The new evidence is part of a defamation lawsuit filed in 2015 by Ms Roberts Giuffre, against Epstein’s alleged former “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell, a British heiress.

Ms Maxwell has written a secret letter to the court in a bid to persuade the judge why the documents should remain sealed.

The letter has become the subject of its own legal argument in recent weeks as it remained sealed and was not disclosed to all relevant parties.

Lawyers for the Miami Herald, which is fighting for access to the court documents, said: “Such surreptitious filing is highly improper and illustrates Maxwell’s utter disregard for the public access issues at stake in this litigation.”

Ms Roberts Giuffre wrote on Twitter: “Happy New Year to all the people in the world who want to see a change!! Let’s make 2020 a year to be remembered in history as the year we took down the 1% who thought they were above the law.”

She has claimed repeatedly that she was trafficked by Epstein to have sex with the Duke when she was aged 17 at Ms Maxwell’s home in Belgravia.

The Duke categorically denied her allegation during his Newsnight interview, insisting it “simply didn’t happen” and that on the day in question he was at a Pizza Express in Woking.

US and Japan in talks to boost space ties, send Japanese astronauts to moon in 2020s

NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine proposed to the Japanese government during a visit in September 2019 that it join the U.S. in a plan to put Japanese astronauts on the surface of the moon in the latter half of the 2020s, multiple sources familiar with the matter said. If this were to be realized, it would be Japan's first moon landing, and it could possibly make the country only the second in history, after the U.S., to put a person on the astronomical body. The U.S. believes the moon is set to become a strategic point in the near future both in terms of economics and security, and its moves to strengthen ties with Japan are apparently part of an aim to check China's rise to interstellar prominence.

In May 2019, the U.S. government announced the Artemis program, a project to get astronauts back on the surface of the moon with a final goal to send humans to Mars. Currently it aims to achieve it by 2024, via a new space station called Gateway to be established in the moon's vicinity. Unlike the Apollo program missions between 1961 and 1972, which were about achieving landings, NASA has its sights set on building a moon base that will enable astronauts to continually stay on the celestial object as early as the latter half of the 2020s. The U.S.'s plans have been drawn up with a keen awareness of China's moves to herald itself as a strong space nation by having its own moon base in the 2030s.

At the end of May 2019, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received U.S. President Donald Trump as a state guest, and declared that Japan was reviewing possible participation in Washington's program. Bridenstine then held an unofficial meeting on Sept. 24, 2019, in Tokyo with figures including Yoshiyuki Kasai, head of the government's Space Policy Committee and honorary chairman at the Central Japan Railway Co., Takafumi Matsui, deputy head of the same committee as well as the director at the Chiba Institute of Technology's Planetary Exploration Research Center and a professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo, and Takehiko Matsuo, head of the National Space Policy Secretariat among others.

At the meeting, Bridenstine is reported to have petitioned the attendees to carry out a forward-thinking assessment with a vision of having Japanese astronauts stand alongside American ones on the moon. Until now the only people to have set foot on the moon are 12 U.S. astronauts serving during the Apollo program. President Trump intends to send humans to the moon annually, with the first personnel landing set to be a pair of male and female astronauts in 2024. And although the U.S. has not clarified a time span in which it expects to see Japanese astronauts on the moon, it's believed it wants to do so from the second mission in 2025 and onwards, and it also appears that the U.S. expects to have further financial cooperation from Japan. But while Prime Minister Abe finalized the basic policies of a place for Japan's participation in initiatives with an aim to strengthen cooperative ties with the U.S., the government stopped short of offering concrete measures beyond supplying equipment and technology to the Gateway space station.

Japan's annual budget for international space exploration related activities stands at about 35 billion to 40 billion yen (U.S. $322 million to 368 million). According to internal documents from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology obtained by the Mainichi Shimbun, just the points that the government intends to address as described in an October 2019 report will require approximately 213 billion yen by fiscal 2024. If Japan were to commit to putting people on the moon's surface, it appears an even greater financial burden would be required.

The U.S. government is expecting to announce details about the Artemis program as early as the spring. With those finer points clarified, the Japanese government will consider whether Japanese astronauts will go to the moon, and how deeply Japan can involve itself in the initiative.

But Maxwell refused, forcing the prince to conduct his own disastrous interview. The source said: “Andrew pleaded with Ghislaine to publicly defend him. Baltimore City Breaks Murder Record Of The Century

Baltimore City slid further into chaos and just broke its highest ever per-capita homicide rate after recording its 347th murder on Monday.

With about 602,000 residents, Baltimore City's homicide rate breached 57 per 100,000 residents after 13 people have been murdered since Dec. 21.

The annual death toll has only hit 342 on two other occasions, onetime in 2017 and another in 2015. Breaching the 342 level to 347 is uncharted territory and suggests the situation will get worse in 2019.

This is the 5th year the city has recorded murders over 300, due mostly to the Ferguson effect post-2015 riots and socio-economic deterioration in the town.

## Arizona politician’s alleged adoption aide pleads guilty

Phoenix • A woman accused of helping a metro Phoenix politician in what authorities have called an illegal adoption scheme involving women from the Marshall Islands pleaded guilty Thursday to helping arrange benefits from Arizona’s Medicaid program for expecting mothers even though the women didn’t live in the state.

Lynwood Jennet, 46, assisted the birth mothers in applying for the health benefits at the direction of Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen, who also works as an adoption attorney, authorities said.

Officials have said 28 Marshallese women gave birth in the Phoenix area as part of the scheme, costing Arizona $800,000 in health care expenses, and that their children were put up for adoption through Petersen.

Jennet also was accused of serving as a point of contact for people in the Marshall Islands who looked for pregnant women interested in coming to the United States to give up their children for adoption.

Jennet's plea deal to charges of fraud and conspiracy calls for two to four years in prison and the repayment of the $800,000, though the repayment could be shared with Petersen if he's eventually convicted on similar charges. Prosecutors and defense attorneys declined to say whether Jennet will testify against Petersen.

Peterson, a Republican, has denied the charges and is fighting to keep his political post leading the agency that determines property values in Maricopa County, Arizona's most populous.

Investigators have said Jennet relayed information about birth mothers to Petersen, who bought the women passports and plane tickets to Phoenix.

Petersen faces criminal charges in Arizona, Utah and Arkansas as part of the alleged scheme involving 70 adoption cases.

He faces human smuggling charges in Utah and Arkansas and is accused of defrauding Arizona's Medicaid system by submitting false applications on the behalf of the women.

Authorities have said the women who went to Utah to give birth received little to no prenatal care. Authorities also said Petersen and associates took away passports from the pregnant women while they were in the U.S. to assert more control over them.

Petersen has pleaded not guilty to the charges in Arizona and Arkansas, though he hasn't yet entered a plea in Utah.

His attorneys have said Petersen ran a legal adoption practice and has been vilified before his side of the story comes out.

Kurt Altman, the attorney defending Petersen on the Arizona charges, declined to say what his client's defense would be on the charges he defrauded the state's Medicaid system.

Marshall Islands citizens have been prohibited from traveling to the U.S. for adoption purposes since 2003.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors put Petersen on a 120-day unpaid suspension after the charges emerged. He he is fighting to be reinstated and his agency's website still prominently features his picture and name.

The county attorney commissioned an investigation into Peterson that is expected to be completed before the end of this year and the board of supervisors is expected to use it to decide whether to maintain or end Petersen's suspension.

An actress who appeared in “Captain America: The First Avenger” stabbed her mother to death inside a Kansas home, police said.

Mollie Maxine Fitzgerald, who played “Stark Girl” in the 2011 Marvel Studios movie, was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree murder charge by police in Olathe, where her mother, 68-year-old Patricia “Tee” Fitzgerald, was found dead inside a home on Dec. 20, the Kansas City Star reports.

Patricia Fitzgerald, of Montgomery, Texas, was pronounced dead at the residence from an apparent stab wound, police announced Tuesday.

“A 38-year-old white female, known to the victim, was contacted on scene and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries,” police said. “This case remains under investigation by the Olathe Police Department.”

Additional details about the alleged killing were not provided and a police spokesman did not immediately return a message seeking comment Wednesday.

The elder Fitzgerald was in the process of moving back to the Kansas City area after living for several decades outside of Houston, her brother Gary Hunziker told the Kansas City Star. He was unable to provide additional details surrounding his sister’s death.

“We were shocked,” Hunziker said. “It doesn’t matter the circumstances – the loss of a sister is what it’s all about.”

An IMDb profile for Mollie Fitzgerald identifies her as a movie director, producer and actress who also appeared in a 2018 film called “Trouble Is My Business” and “The Lawful Truth” in 2014.

Fitzgerald is set to be arraigned on Thursday, KMBC reports.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe apologized to an FBI investigator after changing his story regarding a leak to the media in October 2016, according to documents released Tuesday.

McCabe was interviewed May 9, 2017, the same day James Comey was fired as FBI director, regarding two separate leaks to the media. During the interview, FBI agents also asked McCabe whether he knew how FBI information wound up in an Oct. 23, 2016, Wall Street Journal article about an investigation of the Clinton Foundation.

McCabe said during that sit-down he did not know how the Journal story came about, but he changed his story in an interview several months later, an FBI agent told investigators with the Justice Department’s inspector general (IG). The IG later determined McCabe directed his general counsel, Lisa Page, to share information with a Journal reporter regarding the Clinton Foundation investigation.

McCabe admitted his role in authorizing the leaks during an interview with FBI agents Aug. 15, 2017, according to the documents, which were obtained by the liberal watchdog group, Citizens for Ethics and Responsibility in Washington.

One of the promises President Trump made to American voters is that he would shrink the federal government. With the latest announcement that the National Security Council is set to lose as many as 330 people, the President is closing in on that goal.

The National Security Council has been at work in Washington, D.C., since 1947. Congress created it at the beginning of the Cold War to coordinate policy between the various government national security entities, such as the military and the CIA.

President Truman was unenthused, resenting Congress's impingement on his ability to handle foreign affairs. Nevertheless, he accepted its existence and Truman, followed by subsequent presidents, kept manipulating its shape and make-up to help make it a more congenial partner when working with the White House to defend American interests against overseas actors.

In the wake of 9/11, the NSC was reorganized, with a new Director of National Intelligence replacing the head of the CIA at the NSC's helm and taking a place in the President's cabinet. Under President Obama's watch, the NSC grew in size and power, with as many as 450 people assigned to it when he merged the NSC and White House staff supporting the Homeland Security Council into a single National Security Staff.

When President Trump assumed office, he set about again reorganizing the NSC structure and chain of command in significant part to cut down on the number of people mandated to attend various meetings.

President Trump is once again re-working the NSC, this time to bring it in line with his promises to make the federal government smaller and more responsive, as well as to break the flow of sensitive information NSC staff to the media:

The White House National Security Council staff is being downsized sharply in a bid to improve efficiency within the policy coordinating body by consolidating positions and cutting staff.

A second, unspoken thrust of the overhaul is a hoped-for end to what many critics see as a string of politically damaging, unauthorized disclosures of sensitive information. Leaks of President Trump’s conversations with foreign leaders and other damaging disclosures likely originated with anti-Trump officials in the White House who stayed over from the Obama administration, according to several current and former White House officials.

White House National Security Adviser Robert C. O’Brien is leading the NSC reform effort. He revealed in a recent interview with The Washington Times that 40 to 45 NSC staff officials were sent back in recent months to the agencies where they originally worked, with more likely to be moved out.

Iranian small boat threats, limpet mines and Tehran-backed forces armed with cruise and anti-ship killing missiles are just a few of the threats to the shipping channel in the Persian Gulf that supplies nearly one-fifth of the world’s global crude oil.

To bolster the security of US warships at sea operating in tight waterways around the Middle East, the U.S. conducted an exercise in December using Griffin missiles fired from the U.S. Cyclone-class ship Hurricane.

The exercise, which was conducted in the Arabian Gulf, showcased how U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships can counter small boat threats in the region. The Griffin missile, developed by Ratheyon, is an air and ground launched missile.

The Navy uses a version of the Griffin known as the Mk-60 Patrol Coastal Griffin Missile System installed on cyclone class patrol coastal ships.

Military Times reached out to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command regarding the Griffin test and have yet to receive a response.

Griffins are also used with the Marine Corps’ KC-130 Harvest Hawk system, which turns the Marine tanker into a gunship capable of providing air support.

The exercise highlighted another means in which the U.S. is rapidly reacting to the dynamic threats in the Middle East by finding new ways to utilize various weapon systems to bolster security for ships in operating in choke points threatened by Iran and its web of militias and proxy forces.

Other security measures taken on board U.S. warships during choke point transits have included the use of Marine light armored vehicles armed with the 25 mm bushmaster chain gun parked on the flight deck.

Marines toting anti-tank Javelin missile systems have also manned the rails to help spot and counter potential small boat threats during transits of the Strait of Hormuz and other choke points.

And in 2019, the 22nd and 11th Marine Expeditionary Units strapped a Polaris MRZR system armed with an electronic jammer when they navigated tight waterways in the U.S. Central Command area of operations.

The system, known as the Light Marine Air Defense Integrated System, or LMADIS, downed an Iranian drone in July near the Strait of Hormz, according to U.S. defense officials. The LMADIS was parked on the deck of Wasp-class amphibious assault ship Boxer as it prepared to transit the strait.

California is poised to lose multiple congressional seats after the 2020 census for the first time in the state's history, thanks to an exodus of more than 200,000 people between 2018 and 2019, according to the Los Angeles Times. Top destinations include Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Colorado.

"It’s got a lot to do with dispersion from California to the rest of the west," said senior Brookings fellow, William Frey. "Arizona, Texas and Colorado are all big destinations for California migrants, and they all are gaining seats."

About 203,000 people left California in that period, a result of the state’s shifting migration patterns and economic strains that are making it harder to afford living here. New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Louisiana also saw large losses to other states.

California’s potential loss in reapportionment, which will be determined by next year’s census count, would drop the state’s number of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives from 53 to 52, said William Frey, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. -LA Times

According to a relocation survey by Texas Realtors, 63,175 Californians moved to Texas in 2017, while almost 41,000 Texans moved to the Golden State. And while California may lose a seat in the House, Texas is likely to gain three seats after the 2020 census. Arizona, Colorado and Oregon may gain one seat apiece.

A state's population includes all residents - citizens and non-citizens, along with overseas federal employees and their dependents from whatever state they claim as home, according to the US Census Bureau.
