Looking for a genre that has the movement/solos/general feel of eurobeat but has some more classical instrumentation (guitar, piano, strings, horns) and has a bit more of a dissonant feel where eurobeat is overwhelmingly uniform. Anyone have any advice?

i'm really sorry anons, but you'll have to click on an external link… no viruses, i promise.
what i know from these music files is that they're from a really old DJ set from 'sarahina' that aired on radio somewhere in western europe, perhaps even france.
i need help finding that precise DJ set, and if you can't do it or don't want to bother, don't worry and just post music in the same genre! in that same ambiance, realistic futuristic, or whateverthefuck, make me feel like i'm inside a spaceship, in space, in titan station, anon!

Help. How do I learn music theory? I have been playing guitar for a long time, but I am shit. As far as the technical aspect of playing is concerned, I am fine; I know how to hold the instrument properly, I know how to perform various techniques like tapping, tremolo, bends, pinched harmonics, etc. These things are straightfoward and I have no trouble practicing. However, I am shit at composing music. I want to learn to write music. I realize that in order to improve, I must study music theory.
I need books, I need resources, I need tips. Help. Thanks.

You don't necessarily need music theory to write music. It depends on what you want to do. What kind of music are you into? What kind of music do you want to write? Those things are important.

i too would like to learn how to make, and write music. i only want to do to learn because i am i guy who is trying to make a game demo, i have FLstudio 12 (demo) but i really have no idea what i am doing. all i try to do is pick a scale like G major and play around with it until i have a melody i like. but i cant get any further then that, i cant write a beat, i cant get any harmony , i just keep going around in circles, and it is pissing me off, and to add insult to injury everytime i come up with i good idea for something it is always at night right when im half asleep, and my brain is an ass because sometimes if i try to come up with an original melody my brain basically tell me that it sounds similar to this song and i lose it.

There's a song that I want to hear but I don't remember anything about it really, besides the music video.
The song itself was some kind of girly soothing (I think maybe acoustic? I can't remember) song.
The singer was a chick with black/brown hair and he's driving a red classic car down a country road.
That's all I know.
(Pic related, it's what I remember the music video looking like.)

No, audiotag continued to be worthless. I had to scroll through a bunch of archives looking for an instance where the file was posted and someone actually delivered sauce. Apparently a large part of the Japanese music industry exists separate from the internet if you could believe it. They still rely on CDs and physical promotions. Reality is the ultimate DRM.

Are there any Germanfags who can translate these lyrics about Teutoburg forest accurately? Google translate isnt helping.
Bedrohlich, der germanische Wald
Schon seit Urzeit finster und kalt
Voller Tropfen, Geheimnisse und Lichter
Verflochten, verwoben in tote Gesichter

Bernd here, l'll start. Mediocre Engrish skills tbh.
>The germanic forest looms
>Dark and cold since ancient times
>Damp and full of secrets and lights
>Woven into dead faces
>Sweat and rain are pouring down
>The legionnaires have to do their best
>Without trousers(?) like the Roman custom
>Dirty and tired, yet without beard
>They wade in the knee-deep mud
>Keeping closer together now
>Fear is clawing at their throats
>Because they all can feel it:
>The menacing forest seems to be alive
>Which swallows all sounds, because of the fog and the rain
>A twig strikes you, a mushroom seems to stare at you in the swamp. Something is reaching for your soul!
>The soldiers are freezing and weak
>All is wet, three have drowned in the swamp
>But they chant "Semper fidelis!" and faithfully they follow their leader, Varus
>Who is following Arminius
>Suddenly the fear of the forest
>Turns into a swarming mass of people
>When the Cheruci (Armin) gives a whistle
>The legionnaires have walked into a wasps' nest
>From the mud, from the leaves on the ground and on the trees
>The Germans now come teeming
>A roar like a thousand bears is heard
>Which feeds the fear of the mortally tired Romans
>And now the swords are drawing a river of blood
>Which flows to the ground in the roaring din
>The germans are all painted in black
>Their ambush brings the "Tross" down

Have you ever played a brand that isn't Gibson or Fender? They are extremely overrated brands because of how old they are and how many famous people use their guitars. They definitely aren't bad guitars, but there are guitars that are way better, too. If you haven't gone to a music store and tried out a bunch of the guitars, you should do that and you should play some of the other brands, like Schecter, Ibanez, Jackson, PRS, ESP, etc, and see what you think. There are quite obviously shitty brands too. I don't know if they sell outside of Australasia, but in case they do, avoid Ashton like the plague.

Do you not want one of those because you think they're inferior, or because you're worried about child slave labour or something? If it's because of the former, you're an idiot. If it's because of the latter, it depends on the brand, and you can always look it up.

Technically that's just the 5th movement of a bigger work (Widor's Symphony for Organ No.5) but this toccata is quite the centerpiece of French romantic period organ solo music.
Personally, from classical pieces with organ as the soloist instrument I also really like Rheinberger's Concerto for Organ and Orchestra No.2. It's well structured, nicely balanced, has enough memorable melodies. Personally from the recordings on youtube I prefer either this one or the one with Diane Bish and South Florida Symphony (which is from a live recording so sound quality is a bit lower but perhaps has a slight edge in execution). But yeah it's a full concerto; I wouldn't chop it down into separate movements as none of them stands out as much as Widor's Toccata does.

Help me find this song, anons.
There was a song on the radio at a restaurant that usually plays soft rock from the '70s and '80s, probably off a satellite channel. I barely heard the song so my hints are going to be off. It sounded like something from the early '80s with a post-disco and concert hall feel and long instrumental sections. The song was probably six or eight minutes.
The main sections of the song were driven by a repeating simple set of notes and had some clacking percussion. The singer was a woman with a breathy and powerful voice like Blondie. The music was not as orchestral as Chicago but it had the sense of a big production.
The song had what sounded like "The Sound of Music" in its lyrics, repeated often as a standalone line. That makes searching for it a little difficult.
The verses seemed to be like "Everywhere you go … (something something)" with five high-pitched syllables, a pause, four or so syllables. Two lines like that would be followed by two or four lines of five syllables rising in pitch. And there were horn sections rising and falling a couple of times before the singer would pop in with what sounded like "The Sound of Music" and the song would return to the notes and clacking.
It was not Dayton's The Sound of Music.
Since I probably misheard it badly enough that my hints might disqualify the actual song that I heard, feel free to recommend any other long orchestral songs from the '70s/'80s with women singers.

You can also try Ulrich Schnauss, Trifonic, Oneohtrix Point Never, Tycho or Carbon Based Lifeforms.
The soundtrack to the movie Moon pretty decent as well

I honestly though the thing's erection was a gap between its legs. As far as NSFW goes, I've just been doing it for porn, and nobody's complained about me not spoilering something like that yet. Does anyone here honestly give a shit about this album cover being marginally NSFW? I'll spoiler it if anyone actually thinks it's worth doing not just for the sake of the rules, since that wasn't really the point of the rule.

>I honestly though the thing's erection was a gap between its legs.
That's what I thought until I saw it and now I can't unsee. But, was it always there or was it added later? Afaik there were never any physical copies of the album made so this is hard to research without input from someone that downloaded the album when it was first released, I did but I deleted it with a lot of other free music when I cleaned up my hard drive recently so I had to download it again and that is when I saw the dick. I thought here on /mu/ there probably is someone else who's into DES, I hope they could weigh in.
I'd ask the guy who's solo project it is but I don't want to sound like an idiot asking that. and there's no way he answers if it was added to troll people…

If you don't already know much about music theory, that's a good thing to look into. Learn what the notes are and how they relate to things like scales and chords, Then learn how the different kinds of chords relate to each other and how they relate to the notes in a scale, so you can put chord progressions together. I don't know how much you know so I won't go into detail. You also might like to find tabs for your favourite songs if they exist (if you're not into super obscure or super technical music, they almost definitely will). Even if they're really simple, like Neutral Milk Hotel or some shit, you probably won't be able to play them for at least a couple months, but it'll possibly give you some idea of the kinds of techniques you'll want to focus on learning.

I'm looking for two pieces of music posted in a mu or pol thread.
They were eastern European but not Russian. Each was about 4 minutes long and had a choir of voices singing. They were by a composer no one had heard of with lots of weird accents above all the letters. They were incredibly beautiful.

I remember what seems to have been two years ago from now, a poster claimed to have heard something highly similar to the music of Portishead in a 1970s porno film and the music used in that film basically proved that the entirety of Portishead's musical output is counterfeit.
Have there been any developments since then? Has anyone found the supposed porno film? The poster had no proof back when I first saw the claim, mind you as he didn't know the specific film's name. Another poster made the agreeable statement that you can't make a claim like this without proof so, here I am, with some Portishead showing up in my randomised playlist and I'm wondering if there's been anything since then.

Have you ever listened to something that wasn't on the radio or in an anime/whatever? These are exactly the kinds of things people say when they know absolutely nothing about music that isn't extremely well known. I'm not trying to bully, I'm trying to figure out where you'd start. I also point it out because, to people like us who listen to a lot of music, that sounds retarded. "nice and chill" is fucking vague. Even if it's embarrassing, post some of your favourite songs so anyone has any idea what kind of music you actually listen to.

Budget? Also what heaphones did you use so far? And what kind of equipment do you have? I am personally a big Beyerdynamic fan, no other brand manages to pull good bass and good treble in the same headphone as good as beyer does. Other than that Sennheiser is good too.
I would go for the classics, the beyerdynamic dt 770 (250 ohm version) or the sennheiser hd 589.

Well, there is more to it. Do you have a dac or amp? Do you have a soundcard? Because some headphones need amplifiers. 250 ohm headphones just barely work when plugged into a phone or computer. You can ask /tech/ for help.

Because this is honestly not that easy. Audio Equipment is pretty expensive, and people also sell a lot of bullshit.
As for recommendations, people say that below a $100 Philips SHP9500 is the way to go. Sup 100 dollars those are supposedly the best headphones. In the 100-250 range I would go for the dt 770.

Perhaps there's a better place for discussing music theory in which case I'm all ears. But I'm kind of confused about how chords work on guitar. For example if you play a C Major on Piano, it's just C (root), E (major third), G (perfect fifth). But on Guitar you play the bottom 5 strings with C, E, G followed by a higher C and E. Almost every chord I look at seems to have some similar setup and I find it completely non-intuitive. The only thing I notice is that these extra notes are generally just higher or lower versions of the root note. Is there any good rule of thumb for remembering how chords work on guitar?
Maybe it will make more sense when I get my guitar next week, I'm trying to get into theory a bit for the time being as I'm interested in composing and analyzing music.

What do you mean "how do chords work on guitar"? You just explained it yourself. Chords are made up of particular notes, and if you play those notes, you're playing the chord. You can have more than one of any of those notes in the chord and it's still the same chord. What are you actually asking?

There is a hook that underlies both Walking on a Dream by Empire of the Sun and Sit Next to Me by Foster the People.
I don't know how to write it in musical notes but it's something like:
low low, HIGH HIGH HIGH, HIGH HIGH HIGH, low low low (repeat)
It starts at 15 seconds on EOTS's track (the guitar, front and center):
https://youtu.be/m7loFW1Kz_8?t=15
And it's underlying all of FTP's track. (sounds like an organ)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_XMQc5iEGA
What is this musical pattern called? It has a longingness to it that hooks me but I can't seem to find it anywhere else. Pic unrelated.

Alright, I'll try here because I've asked in three other places already and I haven't gotten anywhere. There is a song I remember hearing maybe once or twice. It was a fast-paced rock theme with a heavy fire theme. I only remember what I assume is the hook, which was "I'm on fire, I'm on fire" for the first line and something with the words "burning" and "desire" for the second. If you have any idea what this song is, it'll be much appreciated.

What program do I use to make musics?
I'm thinking of smashing the good parts of otherwise bad songs together and adding my own notations. I've got experience in playing drums and piano irl; with that in mind, what would you recommend for Windows and Linux? What do you use?

Hello all, I'm hoping that someone can ID a song that I heard from a cover band that does '70s R&B and dance music, heavy on the Detroit sound. The song sounded like they were singing "how about the music we made, how about the music we made, how about the music we made!" in a cheerful fast-paced chorus. I can't find a match for the lyrics. Any guesses?

I wanted a cheap throwaway mp3 player for workout sessions that played flac files so I bought a Sandisk 8gb clip sport (non plus so it has the expansion port) I bought the largest sdhc card (because I don't think it takes sdxc) at 32 gb. So I have ~39 gb of storage for music.
Why is it that the music torrents I download (I own the albums but don't have a cd drive in my computer to rip them) that are complete discographies (e.g. rush, dire straits) are wildly variable in size and and size per album even when running time is similar?
If theres some trick to FLAC files or something I can delete that would be helpful because I am trying to make the most of the admittedly still kind of small storage.

what is the music in this webm?
its nsfw
also is there any techs for computers where you can upload an audio file at whatever quality and it figures out for you the song, i knew there was an app but it never worked for me so i didnt use it, but that was few years ago and now with the advancement in data processing i wonder if there are any newer better stuff out

download at 320kbps .mp3, its high quality digital compressed at a good size
youre not gonna need all that extra detail unless youre a hardcore audiophile or a person whose job revolves around audio production
if you are one of those two then you should be prepared to sacrifice storage space for less musics
I used to download in .flac too (I dont own any albums, im just a poor somali fisherman) but i also have limited storage space so i asked the question and the answer i got was apparently the ear cant discern the finer details at 320+kbps and that was good enough for me

You have no posting history. What are you talking about? Maybe nobody's replying because you've never posted on this board before. Also, it's not all that dead. It just tends not to get much activity when the only threads being posted are boring/effortless/shitty. It's been pretty active in the last few days. This thread >>91162 got 21 replies within the one day it's been up, and there have been a bunch of other new threads. Maybe if you (or anyone else) want the board to be more active you should post threads like those ones and start interesting discussions.
>do people usually just reply to new threads and never check qtddtots?
Most of the questions here don't get answered because they're super specific and nobody has heard of the band the poster is asking about, or they take a lot of effort. Like >>90390 for example. Does lo-fi demo-ish music that isn't punk, doesn't have rhythm guitar and doesn't have synth even exist? What does that leave? Shitty recordings of someone practicing the drums? Firstly, why would someone here listen to that to the point of being able to make recommendations, and secondly, why would anyone think to release that? Not to mention all of the really obscure songs people always want identified. I obviously can't speak for everybody but I'd guess the reason not many questions get answered here is because people expect that most of the thread will be these kinds of questions they don't know the answer to so they just don't bother looking at all. In your case, though, unless your IP hash has changed, you might have thought you made a post and it didn't actually go through or something.

YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play. I'm going to list a bunch of tracks from specific albums and I'd like to know of similar tracks or what the genre is. I feel these specific tracks stand out in their albums(in fact in the case of Mezzanine and Entroducing I don't particularly enjoy any other track because I feel they leave out that dark smooth(if that statement made any sense) style that the first tracks of the album have.) and are precisely what I want.
>Artist-Track(Album)
DJ Shadow- Building Steam from a Grain of Salt(Entroducing…)
El Huervo- Rest(Do Not Lay Waste to Homes)
Massive Attack- Angel(Mezzanine)
If I had something to connect these three it's that they're tracks with a slow drum beat with some guitar or keyboard backing it up.

Still looking for weird shit. Oneohtrixpointnever kind of scratches the itch in that it's unpredictable but it's not agitated enough.
I want to really like breakcore but most times it's too percussive. Lolicore is a bit better for this. It's exciting but lacks the negative feeling to it. Some of Goreshit's work I enjoy like the Incubus Mark for the slicing sounds. It's hard to really pinpoint why I like something but any help would be appreciated. Someone told me you'd have to have brain damage to like the things I do so suggest anything that sounds like it was made by someone with brain damage.

Yes. The anons here hate Discord shills. Every time someone posts a Discord link, it gets a bunch of reports and it usually gets a lot of posts saging and telling them to fuck off. Not to mention, it isn't a thread about music and it isn't a thread that generates discussion (so it breaks the rules), and absolutely every single time someone posts about Discord here, they have no posting history (that has never not been true), so obviously their only intention here is to shill their Discord. So, I deleted it. Meta discussion goes in the meta thread, by the way, not QTDDTOT.

Anyone have a problem where they can only listen to songs that give them intense feelings or goosebumps? I'm only able to listen to 5 songs a month, cycling between them, over and over chasing after the initial rush.
I think it's music addiction, I feel numb without it, and I try it again and it never feels good but it's the best I can manage. I feel disgusted afterwards.
Hope I can get some answers here. I've had this problem since I got depressed when I was like 10. I never see it discussed anywhere. The worst part is, maybe if I found people like me, we could share only the best songs for this kind of buzz so I wouldn't have to cycle 5 songs 1000 times and wouldn't feel as pathetic as I do right now.

Goosebumps from a music is a sense of euphoria your brain gets used to almost instantly, sadly it's a thing you can't experience but only a couple of times by the same song.
Don't overstimulate your brain, otherwise everything will feel like a letdown. It's how humans work, we're shitty creatures that get bored of anything no matter how good it is. There's a reason we consider first things special: first kiss, first date, first sex, or even banal things like the first sip of a glass of beer.
Also sometimes you do need music that chills you, you don't have to stick only to the music that's epic, try something calm, something noisy, something that gets you dancing, there are lots of moods in music, that's one way not to get bored of it.

I know not to overstimulate, I've had a long history of abusing drugs/alcohol. But it's difficult to quit everything all at once. I haven't taken any drugs in years but I'm emotionless every day. When I get a song that gives me a buzz it gives incredible relief. So does finding something rare (can be music) that makes me feel sad. I get high off of it.
I've listened to a few Kanye West albums start to finish which was a nice feeling afterwards, I resisted stopping and playing my current go-to songs. I find it hard to do something like that unless it's prescribed listening though.
Thanks for the reply anon.

What do people like in Death Grips?
I've tried listening to two albums/mixtapes by them, Powers that B and Steroids. The former was nauseating. It was like listening to a Geiger counter. They're clearly intentionally trying o sound annoying There were some interesting sounds on Steroids but really nothing too catching. I liked the "My whole fucking life" part. Apart from that it was a similar """experimental""" attitude of trying to make the most annoying sounds possible.
I get having a standalone statement song in your album but when every song your create is intentionally bad I don't get the appeal, and can't imagine anyone actually listening to these albums a second time.

HookTube embed. Click on thumbnail to play. Recommend me rappers who have lyrics that give strong feels. Or at least rappers who have lyrics that mean something. I've listened to New Kingdom, whose lyrics are nonsense, and Kanye, whose lyrics make sense are simple black people problems or romance (some of his later songs are pretty cool though).
>>94062
I wanted to like them. I feel like I'm too stupid to get it, like I'm not emotionally developed enough to get it. I liked the "my whole life" part because I could appreciate the anger in his voice, relate to what that anger might be. I liked the couple cool sounds in 1, 2 or 3 songs. But the "experimental" stuff of just making most of your music as grating as possible I'd like an explanation of, especially if it's from a fan.
Again, it's not just that I like songs with a nice melody. I like embed related for instance. I like the general, non-specific angry lyrics and the simple, repetitive, loud music acts to not detract from these feels. It's almost not music in a way. But Death Grips has no feeling in most their songs.
I get that it's hard to explain why you like music sometimes. I like some songs just because they sound "cool". But with Death Grips it seems intentionally hard to listen to.

Has a music video

Guitar center usually has Epiphone acoustics for around 150 dollars, and Squier Stratocasters for around 125 dollars. Pawn shops are usually reasonable as well.
>resonance
Strum all of the strings of the guitar (unplugged). If they are resonant and crisp, you have found a good one. If it sounds lifeless and weak, you probably should buy a different guitar.
>neck
Look down the neck (from the headstock/ tuning keys area down) and see if the neck is warped or damaged. (slight warpage may be able to be repaired with truss rod adjustment.
>electronics
Ask to connect the guitar to a amp (if it has pickups).
Slowly turn each knob from 1-10, then back again, listening for crackles. (crackley sounds mean that the potentiometers are shitty and or dirty, and will have to be replaced eventually). Do the same with any and all switches on the guitar.
Play every string one at a time, making sure each magnetic pole of the pickups work.
Make sure the Nut at the beginning of the neck is in good shape. Check the frets for wear. Check for rust/checking on metal pieces.
Hopefully this was somewhat helpful.

I'm hoping someone can recognize the music video. A woman is walking through European forests in the winter with corpse paint wearing black clothes and playing a percussion drum with several other people with corpse paint walking/riding horses waving flags until eventually they march through the streets and the woman stops walking to finish off the song on the drum. Torrents are your friend, friend. I advise that you include "VA" (various artists) as a search term, followed by the genre/time period (80's, Techno, etc.)
I am a fan of Techno. It would not be so if it were not for my participation in the local scene. It is through this scene that I have established a much deeper connection with the music and some of the culture that goes along with it. Things are only so important as you make them out to be. For me, the importance of Techno is rooted in the scattered nights where I would daze out or dance out to the beats. For you it may be different, I would look around and find others near you who are into those kinds of music. Just going out to a little club night can lead you to some very dedicated individuals. Just be straightforward in your communication and forthcoming with your interest in different types of music/ sounds.
Good luck and party safely dear anon.

I regularly check FLACs that I download through the command line (kind of a superficial practice since I'm only really copy-pasting the command) and every so often I get the error:
WARNING, cannot check MD5 signature since it was unset in the STREAMINFO
What I've gathered is that the file isn't necessarily corrupted, but it's missing an MD5 header meaning I can't verify it. The solution seems to be decoding, adding the signature myself, and re-encoding it. Does anyone know how to accomplish this, or if I'm misunderstanding this entirely? Thanks.

I want to get into playing the eguitar, but my general area's stores have outrageous prices and get blown away by online retailers (in addition to having a small selection). Is it a stupid idea for a beginner to just order his first instrument online?

Hell no, in fact that's exactly what you should do. I got a Lyon by washburn I found in the trash. It's a strat, and it's all I play on. Was for sale around 47$ at some places. Dont buy into the fats that'll tell you you need 300$ as your first instrument. You can get fantastic shit for 100 or less. Yamaha strat copies are sought after and used to be 80$. Just learn how to set up your guitar.

Yea there's two ways to mount a pickup, either into the body or into the pickgaurd if there is one. There's also piezos and other even weirder shit but let's not get into that. So on a strat like that you have a deep route that probably looks like this or at least that deep in 3 individual holes for each pickup, and the pickups are screwed to the pickgaurd with springs underneath to hold them in place. The singles should also move the same way. The pickups only won't move if they're a body mount like on a Kiesel or some shit

Help me find this song I heard on the radio and can't make out a single word of it. It's slow-paced modern lite rock with a high pitched, what sounds like a male voice. The music and vocals mix together so well that that the words are drowned out by the background noise of whatever coffee shop or wherever I am that I hear it.
Newfag can't triforce or write sheet music so I'll probably screw this up, but it goes something like this:
. . .
. . . . . .
. . . . .
It probably came out within the past few years, but I couldn't find it by looking through the top100 charts and trying to guess what it might be.

HELP ME FIND A SONG
Can't remember what it's called or how it even sounds, only that I liked how it sounded, but here's what I do remember.
It was/had a music video or intro of a guy riding a bike at night with weird lights and colors all around. He didn't sit on the bike, but rode it standing up.
I think it was Russian or most likely in a different language. And I think the song itself might've been an early meme or viral song from the 2000s, but might not. I found it around 2006 - 2008 while listening to Eurobeat songs like Running in the 90s on YouTube so if I had guess what it sounded like, probably something like that.
Even suggestions or close guesses would be appreciated.

HAHAHAHA LITERALLY NO-ONE WILL EVER FIND THAT
Between the '60s and the early '90s, there are probably hundreds of thousands, if not MILLIONS of musical recordings that have been lost or destroyed forever, either due to lack of care, unforeseen disasters or deliberate destruction. It's the silent cultural genocide that nobody ever talks about, compared to say, early movies or erased tapes.

I've listened to Laugh & Peace's other stuff and it's neato, but the songs they made for vib-ribbon along with Masaya Matsuura from PSY·S are still my favorite. Shame that L&P just seems to have disappeared after 2008.
Doesn't have to be strictly in the j-pop genre, from japan, or in japanese, just close to the feel of these songs.

Any form of sound synthesis in a DAW, as opposed to recording live instruments, can be considered electronic music. And producing electronic music, in my opinion, is harder than simply live recording and mixing.

I see. I would have no problem learning a real "instrument", but the catch that makes me look into electronic more is having to buy a decent recording equipment to filter out the background noise, as well as finding some place free of chatter, birds and other shit that disrupts the recording, and also isolated from any other people to not bother them with the sound.

Throwing out a hopeless case. Back in the early 90s, a local radio station (Edmonton, Alberta, on either 630 CHED AM or it's sister-station Power 92 FM) had a program called "The Basement Tapes." On it was a song that has haunted me for nearly 30 years but I don't know the band's name, if they're still together (probably not) or where the hell I can find a copy. It probably doesn't even SOUND like I remember. That said, if anyone can find it or info about it, I'd love to know.
The song was called (I believe) "Trust Me," and the chorus went like this:
>Trust me to stay,
>I won't run a-way,
>I stand here to-day,
>I'll be stan-ding here to-mor-row
>If there's doubt in you mind,
>I've nothing to hide
>I'm your 'til I die and
>I'll nev-er bring you sor-row
>If you trust me, babe…
It was a fast song, and it burned itself into my brain after hearing it only once, but I never heard it again. The band may have had the word "Park" in their name, but I didn't really catch it. Any help that I can get would be very much appreciated.

Come As You Are - Sonnet Simmons
Don't bother looking for it, you won't find it anywhere. It's specifically a marketing song so it's unlikely anybody besides Simmons herself or people in the advertising industry have even heard the full thing.
Why do you want such a generic song? I've heard 1000 like it before in those shitty types adverts. There are entire firms who literally only make music like this for advertising. Here's her talking about about writing music to follow the current trends.

YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play. I believe this "Alfa Mist" individual has put out a lot of music that I like. I haven't scoured through his entire discography but it seems as though every time I sample something by him, I like it.
From my understanding, Jazz is done. There is nothing new under the Sun when it comes to Jazz. Everything possible within Jazz has been discovered. No rock has been left unturned. What this means then is that whatever Alfa Mist is doing, somebody already did it before him (and probably better, too). Alfa Mist himself admits in an interview I read that he came to Jazz because he liked hearing Jazz samples. It doesn't sound like he formally studied it so it's safe to assume there are those before him who had a better idea of what they were doing.
Where can I find more music like the video attached to this post?

Could you guys help me out seek a popular indie band I forgot the name?
Pic unrelated.
Sorry for the dumb question, but cut me at least a bit of slack, english isn't my native language and I didn't listen to the genre for a long while (maybe alzheimer's kicked in and I'm wrong about the genre too).
It was a clip about a vintage convertible car, chrome tires so shiny you could blind your eyes, the band members having a ride with an old but surprisingly young looking famous woman (as people in the YouTube comments pointed, I remember this), simple as that. Has some Arcade Fire vibes to it. Maybe it is Arcade Fire and I'm being stupid.
The images flashed into my mind and it is now a burning question.
