Rome "A Passage to Rhodesia" & Clem Tholet "Songs of Love and War" as for where. Rome's album is on most streaming platforms, and I'm not certain about Clem. I ended up buying both on vinyl so I listen to them. Plan on ripping both and uploading whenever What.cd's replacement becomes a thing.

Can someone help me find an mp3 player that isn't utter shit and is somewhat functional?

All the apps I've tried are absolute garbage that can't somehow fathom the concept of playing music from an sd card.

All I want to do is just browse my music folder and select the track/s I want to play intead of having to creat a playlist.

Not even VLC get's it right. It had a file browser yea, but it only plays individual tracks, if I wanted to play an album, I'd have to select every song in the folder and then set it to play.

foobar2000 can play entire folders with one click, you just have to go into the settings once and tell it which locations to scan for music. You can also install all sorts of VST plugins for it, like BootEQ and Thrillseeker.

I like vocal music, especially without instruments or percussion. It is hard to find this kind of music, since when I search for 'acapella' I just get pentatonix bull shit. Any help? Any recommendations? I have been listening to a lot of folk music on youtube.

I have little/zero/outdated knowledge of music making.

Is mixing instrument samples on a DAW really a respected and legitimate way to make music nowadays?

respected? No.

legitimate? Definitely.

Any form of sound synthesis in a DAW, as opposed to recording live instruments, can be considered electronic music. And producing electronic music, in my opinion, is harder than simply live recording and mixing.

I see. I would have no problem learning a real "instrument", but the catch that makes me look into electronic more is having to buy a decent recording equipment to filter out the background noise, as well as finding some place free of chatter, birds and other shit that disrupts the recording, and also isolated from any other people to not bother them with the sound.

Throwing out a hopeless case. Back in the early 90s, a local radio station (Edmonton, Alberta, on either 630 CHED AM or it's sister-station Power 92 FM) had a program called "The Basement Tapes." On it was a song that has haunted me for nearly 30 years but I don't know the band's name, if they're still together (probably not) or where the hell I can find a copy. It probably doesn't even SOUND like I remember. That said, if anyone can find it or info about it, I'd love to know.

The song was called (I believe) "Trust Me," and the chorus went like this:

>Trust me to stay,

>I won't run a-way,

>I stand here to-day,

>I'll be stan-ding here to-mor-row

>If there's doubt in you mind,

>I've nothing to hide

>I'm your 'til I die and

>I'll nev-er bring you sor-row

>If you trust me, babe…

It was a fast song, and it burned itself into my brain after hearing it only once, but I never heard it again. The band may have had the word "Park" in their name, but I didn't really catch it. Any help that I can get would be very much appreciated.

Come As You Are - Sonnet Simmons

Don't bother looking for it, you won't find it anywhere. It's specifically a marketing song so it's unlikely anybody besides Simmons herself or people in the advertising industry have even heard the full thing.

Why do you want such a generic song? I've heard 1000 like it before in those shitty types adverts. There are entire firms who literally only make music like this for advertising. Here's her talking about about writing music to follow the current trends.
