Kushner Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Former Trump-administration official Jared Kushner and his top aide Avi Berkowitz received nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize for their role in securing the Abraham Accords last summer.
Kushner and his team played a lead role in mediating negotiations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates that led to normalization of relations between the two countries. Former U.S. ambassador to Israel David Friedman and his Israeli counterpart Ron Dermer were also nominated.
Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz nominated the former White House staffers in a letter reported by Reuters on Sunday. Dershowitz’s letter noted the "enormous" role played by the American delegation in achieving normalization between the UAE and Israel.
In his letter, Dershowitz emphasized "the enormous contributions to peace made by Jared Kushner, Avrahm Berkowitz, David Friedman and Ron Dermer."
"These men played especially important roles," Dershowitz said. "[The accords] hold the promise of an even broader peace in the Middle East between Israel, the Palestinians, and other Arab nations. They are a giant step forward in bringing peace and stability to the region, and even to the world."
Gulf states are still feeling the wide-ranging impacts of the new peace brokered by the Trump administration. Israel and the UAE continue to strengthen commercial and diplomatic ties, and Bahrain also normalized ties to Israel following the Abraham Accords. Iran, meanwhile, has lost leverage with Gulf partners since the agreement.
The Biden administration appears prepared to upend some of the diplomatic progress made in Middle Eastern affairs. Last week, President Joe Biden halted the sale of F-35 fighter jets to UAE, a sale previously endorsed by Israel. Biden also appointed Robert Malley as Iran envoy last week. Malley previously worked in the Obama and Clinton administrations and has a history of hostility toward Israeli interests, as well as a record of advocating conciliatory policies toward Iran and its affiliated terror groups.

Congressional War Vets Warn Biden Against Shuttering Gitmo
A group of Republican war veterans in Congress are pressuring the Biden administration to reconsider its plans to shut down the Guantanamo Bay prison and relocate, potentially to the United States, the 40 terrorists currently being held in the facility.
"As veterans of the Global War on Terrorism, we have serious reservations about the Biden administration’s push to close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp," the nine GOP lawmakers wrote in a letter sent Sunday night to newly installed Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
The Biden administration has been under pressure by antiwar activists to shutter the prison camp located at the U.S. naval station in Cuba. Biden has pledged to do just that, but has not explained how he will continue the prosecution of 40 terrorist leaders who still remain imprisoned, including the masterminds of the 9/11 terror attacks. Opponents of the closure warn that nearly 35 percent of the terrorists released from Gitmo have returned to the battlefield, where they continue to mobilize against U.S. and coalition forces in the region.
Representative Michael Waltz (R., Fla.), the first Green Beret to serve in Congress, and a group of eight other war veterans serving in Congress called the Biden administration’s efforts to shutter Gitmo dangerous and raised questions about a plan that they say could put dangerous terrorists back on the battlefield, according to a copy of the letter obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
"Many of us put our lives on the line to prevent these terrorists from ever returning to the battlefield. Some of us even sustained permanent wounds," wrote the lawmakers, which include Waltz and Reps. Jim Banks (R., Ind.), Steve Stivers (R. Ohio), Brad Wenstrup (R., Ohio), Ronny Jackson (R., Texas), Andrew Clyde (R., Ga.), Tony Gonzales (R., Texas), Guy Reschenthaler (R., Pa.), and Van Taylor (R., Texas). "Without law of war detention, we could be forced to release these dangerous individuals, allowing them to re-establish their networks and jeopardize American national security interests, along with the security interests of our allies."
The lawmakers warn the Biden administration against relocating these terrorists stateside, saying there "is no acceptable reason to bring terrorists to the homeland" and risk them being released on legal technicalities by an American court. Most of the terrorists being held at Gitmo were caught on the battlefield and likely could not be prosecuted by a typical court in the United States.
"It would be a mistake to risk acquittal of a known terrorist because of a prosecutorial error, a technicality, or a miscellaneous legal loophole," they wrote.
The Obama administration abandoned its bid to close Gitmo over concerns the terrorists would return to the battlefield and kill Americans. Most of the 40 detainees imprisoned in Gitmo have extensive weapons, explosives, and battlefield training.
Waltz, in an interview with the Free Beacon, said, "those that remain are the most hardened, the most unrepentant, and the most dangerous."
"These are the field generals, these are recruiters, the funders, the trainers, these are the enablers," he said. "This isn’t just one terrorist you’re releasing; this is someone who can create thousands and train thousands and fund thousands."

Simpsons' writer Marc Wilmore dead at 57 from COVID-19
The 10-time Primetime Emmy Award-nominated writer and producer for “The Simpsons” Marc Wilmore has died at 57 after developing complications from the coronavirus.
“My sweet sweet brother, Marc Edward Wilmore, passed away last night while battling COVID and other conditions that have had him in pain for many years,” Wilmore’s older brother and fellow comedian Larry Wilmore tweeted on Sunday. “My brother was the kindest, gentlest, funniest, lion of an angel I’ve ever known. I love you little brother.”
After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona, Wilmore began his career in the ‘90s writing — and then as a cast member — on sketch comedy show “In Living Color.” His writing there earned him his first Emmy nomination. Following “In Living Color,” he became a writer for “The Tonight Show Starring Jay Leno,” as well as his brother Larry’s stop-motion sitcom “The PJs.”
Wilmore went on to be a co-executive producer and writer for “The Simpsons,” as well as the animated series “F Is For Family.” His voice also appeared in the occasional character of the shows he worked on, according to IMDb.

Details from the Senator Chase v Virginia Senate lawsuit
https://www.progress-index.com/story/news/2021/02/01/va-state-senator-files-federal-suit-against-senate-remove-censure/4337947001/
RICHMOND — State Sen. Amanda F. Chase is suing her colleagues in the Virginia Senate, saying last week's vote to censure her and strip her of her seniority amounts to a violation of her constitutional right to free speech and due process.
The suit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Richmond, names Senate clerk Susan Clarke as a defendant and asks that she not allow the publication of the reprimand in the chamber's public journal pending the outcome of the case. Virginia Beach attorney Tim Anderson, who is seeking election to one of the city's House of Delegates seats this year, filed the suit on Chase's behalf.
The suit claims that the 24-9 vote on Jan. 27 violated Chase's rights under the First and 14th Amendments to the Constitution that guarantee the right to free speech and equal access to due process, respectively. It says the allegations made in the censure resolution were not properly vetted by the Senate Privileges & Elections Committee before anything was filed.
The move was not completely unexpected, as Chase had said several times prior to the vote that she would sue if the Senate supported the censure.
Chase, R-Chesterfield County, reiterated those claims in a statement Monday to The Progress-Index. She said the censure was brought by "the political elite class of the Senate" who disagree with her political persuasions. Chase, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, is running for the Republican nomination for governor this year, and claimed the reprimand was a political hit job on her campaign.
"The First Amendment of the Constitution applies to everyone, and you do not lose it when you become an elected official,: Chase said. "The majority of the Senate of Virginia believe that collectively they can silence the First Amendment as long as they do it with a group vote."
The censure resolution, sponsored by Democratic Sen. John Bell of Loudoun County, was supported by all 21 Democrats in the Senate, plus three Republicans. One of them is Senate Minority Leader Thomas K. Norment Jr. of James City County, with whom Chase has publicly feuded in recent years over direction of the Senate leadership. Six Republicans opted not to vote for or against the resolution.
At one point during the two-hour debate on the Senate floor, Lt. Gov. Justin E. Fairfax — a Democrat who is the Senate's presiding officer — ruled that the resolution had not been properly put forth in the chamber because there was no evidence the charges in it were ever investigated by Senate P&E, which is standard protocol. Senators immediately voted to overturn Fairfax's decision.
"The Virginia Senate knowingly and intentionally violated its own rules overruling its own President and proceeding with a censure that was both unconstitutional on its face and in blatant violation of its own rules," Chase said Monday.
Messages left with Schaar's office and the Virginia attorney general seeking comment have not yet been answered.
In a post on his law firm's Facebook page, Anderson said he would not comment on the case while it proceeds through the system. He did, though, share thoughts on the central issue of the case.
"The comments made by Senator Chase were entirely protected by the First Amendment and censure of the Senator was nothing more than an attempt to silence her free political speech and expression," Anderson wrote. "As Americans we do not have to agree with what someone says but we must agree to defend each American's right to freely exercise their First Amendment Rights. Any attempts to silence legitimate political free speech will be met with maximum lawful resistance by this office on behalf of any client of this firm."
The original resolution charged Chase with "formenting" the Constitution by taking part in a Jan. 6 Stop The Steal Rally in Washington, an event staged by pro-Trump supporters. The rally, which included a speech by Trump decrying his Nov. 3 loss to Democrat Joe Biden as ripe with still-unsubstantiated voting fraud, devolved into a riot by some rally attendees inside the U.S. Capitol trying to stop certification of the Electoral College vote. Six people died in the violence.
Chase spoke during the morning hours of the rally, but was not part of the Capitol rush. Later, she denounced the violence, but defended the rally as a group of "patriots" who were tired of Democrats trying to ram socialist policies through government.

A Key Player in Malaysia's Biggest-Ever Corruption Scandal Found Sanctuary in Cyprus With Help From a Major London Firm
Despite public denials, well-known citizenship broker Henley & Partners helped disgraced financier Jho Low, who stands accused of stealing billions from Malaysian sovereign wealth fund 1MDB, obtain a passport from Cyprus.
Key Findings
Henley & Partners identified Jho Low as a high-risk client with political exposure, but worked with him anyway, using a Cypriot company as an intermediary.
Henley made 60,000 euros from a citizenship fee paid via this company, and far more — 650,000 euros — from helping arrange a real estate deal for Low to purchase a luxury seaside villa.
Shell companies and nominee service providers helped obscure Low’s real estate deal.
Several Low associates also applied for Cypriot citizenship around the same time, and publicly available documents suggest that they bought villas near his.
Jho Taek Low had billions of dollars, but he was running out of places to put them.
By 2015, the Malaysian financier had become the face of the now-infamous 1MDB embezzlement scandal. His theft of billions from Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund had been widely reported. So had the trail of splashy purchases he made around the world: a transparent grand piano for supermodel Miranda Kerr, a New York City penthouse once owned by Jay-Z, a $6-million emerald green soup can painted by Andy Warhol, an entire hotel in Beverly Hills.
Banks were increasingly wary of him. So were governments. He was under investigation by law enforcement in Singapore and Switzerland. U.S. authorities were closing in, too. He needed a safe refuge for both himself and his money.

Jho Low in 2014.
To solve these problems, Low turned to the sunny eastern Mediterranean island of Cyprus, where, with a view to establishing a new financial foothold, he purchased citizenship in 2015 under the country’s controversial “golden passport” scheme.
Technically known as Citizenship By Investment, the program was meant to attract wealthy foreigners seeking European Union passports. But in the eyes of critics, its main effect was to make Cyprus a go-to destination for kleptocrats and criminals who want to pay their way into the bloc. It also proved lucrative for a small army of lawyers and financial service providers who greased the wheels.
The program was ditched last October after a damning investigation by Al Jazeera exposed local politicians offering to help a fictitious Chinese criminal get citizenship. The circumstances under which Low received his golden passport are under scrutiny by Cypriot authorities.
Now, an investigation by OCCRP and the Sarawak Report can reveal previously undisclosed details about how Low obtained Cypriot citizenship — and who helped him do it.
Though his connection to one of the world’s biggest thefts of public funds had already been widely exposed, he was able to hire London-based Henley & Partners, perhaps the world’s best-known passport brokerage firm, to provide him with citizenship services.

Private/Unlisted YouTube Videos of U.S. Government Agencies
Background
Many U.S. government agencies and military branches have public YouTube pages. That is no secret. However, within these channels, lies a hidden treasure trove of PRIVATE/UNLISTED videos NOT accessible by the general public.
Through the Freedom of Information Act, The Black Vault along with another researcher has tackled trying to get access to these videos listings. That researcher has donated the requests they did, along with the documents, to the archive below. However, they asked for their identifying information to be redacted.
The below lists can then be used to request the videos themselves.
There are numerous more open FOIA requests for these pages, which will be added below. Visit often, as there are many more to be added soon.
Document Archive
By clicking on the government agency name below, you will get the FOIA response and in most cases, the list of videos. I have also marked the release date, in order to show the timeframe of when the released list existed.

Council on Foreign Relations calls for formation of state-owned media to quell subversive internet chatter
The United States Needs a BBC
The Beeb’s influence is rising stateside, revealing a hunger for nonpartisan news. America’s own networks should take note.
In July 2020, the BBC released some remarkable numbers: In the previous 12 months, 438 million people had tuned into BBC News, 351 million to the BBC World Service, and 137 million to BBC Global News. All three channels, as well as the BBC’s entertainment channel, had registered double-digit growth. The figures were especially surprising given that, unlike certain U.S. news outlets and online media platforms, “the Beeb” doesn’t rely on polarization as a business model.
The United States, still dealing with the aftermath of years of slanted information, should take note. What the country needs, it may be, is public-service news.
When the BBC—the United Kingdom’s own public-service news organization, which is legally obligated to neutrality—presented the summer 2020 figures, then BBC Director-General Tony Hall explained: “We are without question one of Britain’s strongest and best-known brands, synonymous with quality and accuracy worldwide.” Indeed, that is what its viewers are hungriest for.
One might assume that American viewers are just different. Perhaps they like drama, hyperbole, and confirmation more? Not so. According to a 2020 report by the University of Oxford’s Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, that isn’t necessarily true. Rather, 60 percent of Americans want neutral news. What’s more, 56 percent of Americans find the BBC trustworthy, which makes the BBC the most trusted non-local news organization in America. Americans are also now BBC News’s second-largest international audience, at nearly 50 million. Outside the United Kingdom, only India has more BBC viewers and listeners than the United States.
Polarizers get the headlines, but Americans aren’t so different from many other countries when it comes to wanting facts-based news.
Indeed, while polarizers get the headlines, Americans aren’t so different from many other countries when it comes to wanting facts-based news, the Oxford researchers found. When asked whether they preferred news that shared their point of view, challenged their point of view, or had no point of view, 80 percent of Germans said they prefer neutral news sources, as did 78 percent of Japanese, and 76 percent of Britons. In Denmark, 68 percent preferred neutral news; in Italy, 65 percent; in France, 58 percent; and in Spain, 55 percent.
But even though a majority of Americans want neutral news, they are not getting enough of it. In a recent op-ed, Senator Ben Sasse, a moderate Republican, bewailed this state of affairs, which he labelled America’s junk-food media diet. “The way Americans are consuming and producing news—or what passes for it these days—is driving us mad,” he wrote. “This is not a problem only on the right or only on obscure blogs. The underlying economics that drive Fox News and upstarts such as One America News to cultivate and serve ideologically distinct audiences also drive MSNBC, CNN, and the New York Times. More and more fiercely, media outlets rally their audience behind the latest cause du jour, whether it’s battling supposed election fraud or abolishing local police departments.”

L3Harris Wins Contract to Support Missile-Tracking Space Sensors
By Rachel Jewett | February 1, 2021
The U.S. Missile Defense Agency has awarded L3Harris Technologies a $121 million contract to build space flight hardware to demonstrate the company’s solution for the Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS) program. The HBTSS is one of several proposed missions within the U.S. Department of Defense’s next-generation proliferated Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) space architecture. L3Harris said in a Monday release that this award follows on a 2019 study contract.

https://dailynorthwestern.com/2021/01/21/top-stories/pretrial-fairness-act-would-make-illinois-first-state-to-abolish-cash-bail/
The Illinois legislature of Representatives passed a bill spearheaded by the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus last Wednesday that would end cash bail.
The Pretrial Fairness Act, which gives Illinois until Jan. 1, 2023 to abolish cash bail, currently awaits Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s signature. Pritzker has expressed support for the bill in the past. If passed, Illinois will be the first state in the nation to end all cash bail.
Evanston mayoral candidate Sebastian Nalls, 20, said ending cash bail is a step in the right direction.
“This is an issue that hits directly at home for a lot of us,” Nalls said. “And it’s been disproportionately affecting Black and brown members of Illinois and members of the nation as a whole.”
The Illinois State’s Attorneys Association put out a statement saying the bill has provisions that are “deeply problematic and will only result in further significant increases in violent crime, undermine public safety, and deny justice to crime victims.”

FAUCI FLIPS AGAIN! Now Says That There’s “No Data” To Support Double Masking
Just when the push to bully Americans into wearing two masks was picking up steam, Dr. Anthony Fauci has once again reversed course on advice that he had given only days ago.
Last week, Fauci put his stamp of approval on the double masking during a chat with Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s “TODAY” show.
According to Fauci: “So if you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on, it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective”
Then over the weekend when Joe Biden’s top medical adviser was able to squeeze in yet another media interview into his busy schedule, Fauci flip-flopped – AGAIN.
Dr. Fauci now says:
“There are many people who feel, you know if you just wanna have a little extra bit of protection, maybe I should put two masks on.
There’s nothing wrong with that but there’s no data that indicates that that is going to make a difference and that’s the reason why the CDC has not changed the recommendations.”
The double masking was quickly embraced by virtue-signaling Democrats….

George Soros teams up with Irish tycoon 'Denis O'Brien' for Myanmar's telecoms services news
April 5, 2013
New Delhi, Apr 5 – With the market in Burma opening up to foreign investment, Irish businessman DenisO'Brien has come out with details of his intention to seek a mobile phone licence.
Joining forces with billionaire GeorgeSoros the telecommunications tycoon is keen to secure a telecoms licence in Myanmar, which was opening up to outside investment with its recent move towards democracy after decades of often brutal military rule.
The Burmese government had been inviting potential operators to set up and run two new telecomsservices.
A consortium including O'Brien's Digicel group in association with GeorgeSoros' Quantum Strategic Partners and Burma's Yoma Strategic Holdings, led by local businessman Serge Pun has just submitted its pre-qualification application to the Burmese government.
O'Brien, who is chairman of Digicel and also a major shareholder in Independent News & Media, said Digicel had been successful in entering recently liberalised markets and driving tele-density in underserved countries across the globe.
He added, with the current mobile penetration below 10 per cent in Myanmar, the consortium was committed to rolling out a world-class telecommunications network.
Digicel with operations across the Caribbean and Pacific region, had become a major telecoms player in just over a decade and had also made a fortune for O'Brien, who was recently ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the world's richest people.
Jamaica-based Digicel has built up a leading presence in 30 developing economies in the past 12 years. Pun is recognised as being one of the country's most prominent entrepreneurs.
Myanmar currently has an economy growing at a rate of over 5 per cent per year, though mobile phone penetration was below 10 per cent.
As the tender process for the two licences was at a very early stage, final timelines and potential bid details were unknown.
The Digicel-led consortium's submission this week ranked as a 'pre-qualification application' and it was thought both licences would attract much interest.
Meanwhile, Vodafone too announced that it had teamed up with China Mobile - currently ranked as the world's largest mobile network operator, with the largest subscriber base of over 720 million users - to launch a preliminary application for a licence, saying Burma would be an important market for the global mobile industry.
According to Soros, the liberalisation of the telecommunications market in Burma would serve as an important economic stimulus for the country; while Serge Pun said the heads of consortium shared a common objective to offer affordable, first-class communications to the people of Myanmar.
He added the consortium was uniquely positioned to deliver this vision.

#BidenLied Trends on Twitter as Angry Libs Realize They Aren't Getting What They Wanted
In December and January, as he barnstormed around Georgia for Senate runoff candidates Jon Ossoff and the Rev. Raphael Warnock, then-President-elect Joe Biden made a promise: Elect these two and you get $2,000 stimulus checks.
The day before the election, he made it abundantly clear: “By electing Jon and the reverend, you can make an immediate difference in your own lives, the lives of the people all across this country,” he said at a rally.
“Because their election will put an end to the block in Washington on that $2000 stimulus check, that money would go out the door immediately, to help people who are in real trouble.
“Think about what it will mean to your lives. Putting food on the table, paying rent, paying part of your mortgage, paying down the credit card, paying the phone bill, the gas bill, the electric bill.”
https://youtu.be/KbDJJ782MfY
Now that he’s in the White House, Biden’s COVID-19 relief package includes $1,400 relief checks, not $2,000. The Democrats’ line is that $600 + $1,400 = $2,000. What part of that don’t you understand?
The part one doesn’t understand is that, well before Biden was saying this, then-President Donald Trump had signed off on the $600 checks and they’d already started going out on Dec. 29, according to Forbes.
Biden himself — or whoever runs his Twitter account — seemed to acknowledge the distinction between the $600 checks that were going out the door and the $2,000 checks that he was promising.

Lin Wood, [01.02.21 16:02]
Good afternoon. Busy morning pouring water on the false fires. Your words of support, love, and faith help inspire me to be a formidable firefighter. I find my strength in the Lord.
BREAKING NEWS! I havechanged my legal residence from the State of Georgia to the State of South Carolina!
I have lived in Georgia since I was 3 years old (65 years). I still love the Peach State but Georgia has deteriorated over the years to become one of the most corrupt states in the country, if not the most corrupt.
Every state has problems. Like individuals, states are imperfect. But Georgia has spun out of control and is heavily influenced by the CCP through corrupt state officials.
I love the land in the Lowcountry of South Carolina and the people here are simply wonderful. South Carolina has welcomed me. Georgia has falsely accused me and shunned me.
I am thrilled about my change of residency.
I started my life in North Carolina in 1952 and plan to live in South Carolina until the Lord calls me back north to my eternal home in Heaven.
Sometimes in context, going from the North to the South is a really good thing.
Now I can vote against Lindsey Graham!
God bless each of you. - Lin 🙏❤️🇺🇸

NEVERTHELESS:
The National Guard will remain in Washington, D.C., through the end of March over concerns of potential civil unrest, a spokesman confirmed for Fox News Tuesday.
"As we continue to work to meet the final post-inauguration requirements, the National Guard has been requested to continue supporting federal law enforcement agencies with 7,000 members and will draw down to 5,000 through mid-March," National Guard Bureau spokesman Wayne Hall told Fox News. "We are providing assistance such as security, communications, medical evacuation, logistics, and safety support to state, district and federal agencies."
Acting Army Secretary John E. Whitley told reporters during a Monday press conference that the guardsmen will provide support to federal law enforcement agencies after four requests were submitted for additional aid from U.S. Park Police, U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Capitol Police and the Metropolitan Police Department.

Happy Ground Hog dayHillary must be in a good mood today, so many thinking about an old hog
Groundhog Day February 2
Groundhog Day (Pennsylvania German: Grund'sau dåk, Grundsaudaag, Grundsow Dawg, Murmeltiertag; Nova Scotia: Daks Day)[1] is a popular North American tradition observed in the United States and Canada on February 2. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerging from its burrow on this day sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will persist for six more weeks; but if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early.
While the tradition remains popular in modern times, studies have found no consistent correlation between a groundhog seeing its shadow and the subsequent arrival time of spring-like weather.[2]
The weather lore was brought from German-speaking areas where the badger (German: Dachs) is the forecasting animal. This appears to be an enhanced version of the lore that clear weather on the Christian festival of Candlemas forebodes a prolonged winter.
The Groundhog Day ceremony held at Punxsutawney in western Pennsylvania, centering around a semi-mythical groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil, has become the most attended ceremony. Grundsow Lodges in Pennsylvania Dutch Country in the southeastern part of the state celebrate them as well. Other cities in the United States and Canada have also adopted the event.
In the Gaelic calendar of Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man, Brigid's Day (February 1) is a day for predicting the weather.[24][25] While inScotland the animal that heralds spring on this day is a snake,[26] and on the Isle of Man a large bird,[27] in Ireland folklorist Kevin Danaher records lore of hedgehogs being observed for this omen:
In Irish folk tradition St. Brighid's Day, 1 February, is the first day of Spring, and thus of the farmer's year. … To see a hedgehog was a good weather sign, for the hedgehog comes come out of the hole in which he has spent the winter, looks about to judge the weather, and returns to his burrow if bad weather is going to continue. If he stays out, it means that he knows the mild weather is coming.[24]
The groundhog (Marmota monax) is a hibernating rodent of the family Sciuridae, belonging to the group of large ground squirrels.
United States
The observance of Groundhog Day in the United States first occurred in German communities in Pennsylvania, according to known records. The earliest mention of Groundhog Day is an entry on February 2, 1840, in the diary of James L. Morris of Morgantown, in Pennsylvania Dutch Country, according to the book on the subject by Don Yoder. This was a Welsh enclave but the diarist was commenting on his neighbors who were of German stock.[i][j][20][28]
Punxsutawney beginnings
The first reported news of a Groundhog Day observance was arguably made by the Punxsutawney Spirit newspaper of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, in 1886:[k] "up to the time of going to press, the beast has not seen its shadow". However, it was not until the following year in 1887 that the first Groundhog Day considered "official" was commemorated there,[29] with a group making a trip to the Gobbler's Knob part of town to consult the groundhog. People have gathered annually at the spot for the event ever since.[30][18]
Clymer Freas (1867–1942)[l] who was city editor at the Punxsutawney Spirit is credited as the "father" who conceived the idea of "Groundhog Day".[31][m] It has also been suggested that Punxsutawney was where all the Groundhog Day events originated, from where it spread to other parts of the United States and Canada.[33]
The Groundhog Day celebrations of the 1880s were carried out by the Punxsutawney Elks Lodge. The lodge members were the "genesis" of the Groundhog Club formed later, which continued the Groundhog Day tradition. But the lodge started out being interested in the groundhog as a game animal for food. It had started to serve groundhog at the lodge, and had been organizing a hunting party on a day each year in late summer.[34]

“The Senate is Utterly Without Jurisdiction to Try Donald Trump” – Former Independent Counsel Ken Starr Explains Why Democrats Can’t Try Trump
No where in the Constitution or any other documents written by our framers does it mention anything about impeaching and convicting a former president.
Former US Solicitor General and Independent Counsel Ken Starr said the senate is without jurisdiction to try private citizen Donald Trump.
The House of Representatives impeached President Trump with a 232-197 vote on January 13 for ‘inciting an insurrection’ at the Capitol.
Speaker Pelosi held onto the articles of impeachment and didn’t deliver articles to the senate until after Trump left office.
Chief Justice Roberts isn’t even presiding over the senate trial – Senate Pro Temp Leahy (D-VT) is instead, which is another violation of the law.
Furthermore, 45 senators have already voted that it is unconstitutional so the trial in DOA.
Judge Starr outlined in detail why “the Senate is utterly without jurisdiction to try Donald Trump” during an appearance with “Life, Liberty & Levin” Sunday evening.

SpaceX announces first mission to space with all-civilian crew
SpaceX announced plans Monday for the first all-civilian mission to space, a major milestone for private spaceflight and the nascent space tourism industry.
The mission aboard SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft will feature a four-person crew led by Jared Isaacman, the founder and CEO of Shift4 Payments, a Pennsylvania-based payment processing company. The flight is expected to launch sometime in the fourth quarter of this year, according to SpaceX. “When you’ve got a brand new mode of transportation, you have to have pioneers,” SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk told NBC News’ Tom Costello in an interview with NBC Nightly News. “Things are expensive at first, and as you’re able to increase the launch rate, increase the production rate, refine the technology, it becomes less expensive and accessible to more people.”
Private citizens have flown to space before, but these space tourists typically paid to hitch rides into orbit alongside trained NASA astronauts or Russian cosmonauts. Isaacman’s flight will be the first time a crew made up entirely of private citizens will venture into space. The crewmembers will undergo training by SpaceX, including mission simulations for emergency preparedness and how to handle orbital mechanics during their flight. Isaacman said in a statement that the mission, dubbed Inspiration4, is “the realization of a lifelong dream and a step towards a future in which anyone can venture out and explore the stars.”
Anyone, that is, with millions of dollars to spend on the ride. SpaceX did not disclose how much Isaacman paid for the flight.
But Musk said he hopes these early joyrides lay the groundwork for more space tourism in the future, beyond just billionaires who are able to afford the flights now.
"It's like when America went to the moon in '69 — it wasn't just a few people, humanity went to the moon," he said. "We all went there with them. And I think it's something similar here."
An all-civilian mission is a huge stepping stone for the private spaceflight industry, but it also presents enormous challenges. Musk said SpaceX’s top priority will be to maximize the safety of the crew.

CME Hikes Silver Margins After Prices Surge to Eight-Year High
The CME Group is raising margins on Comex silver futures by 18% after futures surged to an eight-year high, the exchange said in a statement.
Margins will rise to $16,500 per contract from $14,000, effective Feb. 2, according to the exchange. The decision is based on “the normal review of market volatility to ensure adequate collateral coverage,” it said in a statement.
The increase means those who want to trade silver futures will need to put up more collateral to ensure they can meet their obligations. While the exchange routinely raises margins when a contract is soaring or extremely volatile, Monday’s move could edge out smaller players who don’t have enough cash to make the necessary deposits.

Koreans Buy Tesla, GameStop as Foreign Stock Buying Hits Record
South Korean traders piled into U.S. stocks like GameStop Corp. and Tesla Inc. in January, driving their buying of overseas equities to a record high in January.
Korean individual and institutional investors bought a net $5 billion of foreign stocks in January, their most-ever monthly tally since 2011, when the Korea Securities Depository began collecting data.
Their positions now include $10 billion in Tesla Inc. shares the largest for any stock as well as about $265 million in GameStop Corp., KSD’s data show. GameStop, an unprofitable videogame retailer, has drawn day traders globally, including from India and China.
With U.S. stocks representing some 80% of their holdings, Korean retail investors are “highly exposed” to U.S. market risks, Goldman Sachs senior Asia economist Goohoon Kwon said in a note on Sunday.
“With their heavy buying during a global equity rally in late 2020, a 10% market correction for example could put one-third of their holdings in the red,” Kwon wrote.

Hold on…wait…Last Monday, Dr. Anthony Fauci said that wearing two masks “likely” made it safer. But now this week Dr. Fauci said "there’s no data that indicates that that is going to make a difference."
https://twitter.com/BreitbartNews/status/1356351507617210368
Dr. Anthony Fauci: No Data Showing Double Masking Works
Dr. Anthony Fauci revised his recommendation that Americans wear two masks to further protect themselves from the coronavirus.
Fauci spoke about double masking in a video livestream interview with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) on Thursday.
“There’s nothing wrong with that but there’s no data that indicates that that is going to make a difference,” Fauci said.
Last Monday, Fauci said that wearing two masks “likely” made it safer, claiming that it only made “common sense” to have another layer of protection.
“So, if you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on, it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective,” Fauci said in an interview with NBC News “TODAY.” “That’s the reason why you see people either double masking or doing a version of an N95.”
He also said it was important for vaccinated individuals to keep wearing masks because they could still be carrying the coronavirus.
The virus, he explained, could be transmitted by individuals protected by the vaccine because they would not show any symptoms.
“Then you could inadvertently or innocently transmit the infection by not wearing a mask,” Fauci said, admitting that it seemed “paradoxical.”
He said that in the next few months, he hoped to have scientific studies on the amount of virus found in individuals who were vaccinated versus those who were not.
“I believe we’ll see that the level of virus in people who have been vaccinated but are infected without symptoms likely will be very low,” he said.
He continued, “Until we know that, wear the mask.”
Fauci said that even though he had been vaccinated against the virus, he would continue to wear a mask.
“When you see me out when I am not talking to a screen but with people, this is what I do, even though I am so-called protected from clinical disease,” he said.

Despite unclear threat, National Guard protects Capitol in snowy conditions
February 01, 2021
Snowy conditions are not keeping thousands of National Guard troops from protecting the Capitol, and neither are unanswered questions about whether officials have detected plans for a possible repeat of right-wing extremist violence.
“We currently have just over 7,000 soldiers and airmen assigned to the National Guard mission in Washington, D.C., and we remain on track to draw down to 5,000 through mid-March,” D.C. National Guard spokesman Capt. Tinashe Machona confirmed to the Washington Examiner on Monday.
The FBI again declined to comment on the threat assessment in Washington that is used by law enforcement as the rationale for maintaining a Guard presence in the capital nearly equal in strength to previous presidential inaugurations.
Members of Congress have called on the Guard to be sent home in recent days, while some governors have ordered their troops to depart Washington. Both sets of concerns are based on worries there is no imminent threat for the kind of violence seen at the Capitol complex on Jan. 6 and on how the troops have been treated after thousands were ordered to rest in a parking garage with limited restrooms.
Some Guard members have grumbled to reporters that they do not know why they remain in Washington, away from their day jobs and families, even as some units are heading home.
Those departures have not affected the Guard’s ability to meet the requests for support from the Secret Service, Park Police, U.S. Capitol Police, and D.C. Metropolitan Police.
All Guard members have cold-weather gear and heated, designated rest areas where they can get out of the frigid winter weather while others are on watch, said Machona.
The troops from approximately 39 states and U.S. territories support law enforcement agencies with security, communications, medical evacuation, and logistics support.
The Guard again declined to provide the exact number of members stricken by COVID-19, though it had previously reported that at least 200 had tested positive and remain in quarantine.
Machona said none have been hospitalized, and all were checked upon arrival from their home states.
“They had their temperatures checked and completed a screening questionnaire. Masks and social distancing are required where the missions allows,” he said.
Meantime, razor wire has been added to nonscalable fencing, and trucks have blocked previously open streets along the south perimeter of the Capitol barrier.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin made his way to the Capitol building Friday afternoon to greet troops, repeatedly asking them if they have what they need to conduct their mission.
"The entire Army is behind us,” one commander told the secretary after confirming they were well taken care of.
Guard members who spoke to the Washington Examiner just days earlier were weary of their uncertain mission length, which could keep Guard members on duty until March 14.
Guard members also declined to describe their rest areas in the Capitol, a source of controversy recently after service members were abruptly relocated to a parking garage for several hours before being allowed to return.
Again, the D.C. National Guard refused to describe those facilities other than to underscore that Guard members stay at hotels when not patrolling the Capitol.
“To be clear, this is not where they are lodging when off-duty,” Machona said. “Our personnel work in shifts and rest when they can as others stand watch.”

Statement by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. on the Situation in Burma
February 01, 2021
The military’s seizure of power in Burma, the detention of Aung San Suu Kyi and other civilian officials, and the declaration of a national state of emergency area direct assault on the country’s transition to democracy and the rule of law.In a democracy, force should never seek to overrule the will of the people or attempt to erase the outcome of a credible election. For almost a decade, the people of Burma have been steadily working to establish elections, civilian governance, and the peaceful transfer of power. That progress should be respected.
The international community should come together in one voice to press the Burmese military to immediately relinquish the power they have seized, release the activists and officials they have detained, lift all telecommunications restrictions, and refrain from violence against civilians. The United States is taking note of those who stand with the people of Burma in this difficult hour. We will work with our partners throughout the region and the world to support the restoration of democracy and the rule of law, as well as tohold accountable those responsible for overturning Burma’s democratic transition.
The United States removed sanctions on Burma over the past decade based on progress toward democracy. The reversal of that progress will necessitate an immediate review of our sanction laws and authorities, followed by appropriate action.
The United States will stand up for democracy wherever it is under attack.

PSAKI: Biden Administration Encourages Tech Censorship, Twitter Banning Trump Purged ‘Hate Speech’
President Biden has reportedly spoken with Big Tech oligarchs to discuss how conservative speech can further be restricted on their platforms
During Monday’s White House press conference, Biden administration press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that President Biden and his team fully support Big Tech censorship of citizen’s First Amendment, stating that the administration supports the power of Big Tech monopolies to restrict “hate speech” even further.”
“This may hard to believe, but we don’t spend a lot of time thinking about or talking about President Trump here, former President Trump, to be very clear,” Psaki said in response to a question about what effect President Trump’s Twitter ban has had on the current regime.
Psaki continued, “Um, I think that’s a question that is probably more appropriate for Republican members, um, who, um, are looking for ways to support a bipartisan, uh, and whether that gives them space, but I can’t say we miss him on Twitter.”
“We’ve spoken to and [Biden] has spoken to the need for social media platforms to continue to take steps to reduce hate speech,” Psaki added.

Psaki had previously stated that voters “shouldn’t be surprised” Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was paid millions by hedge funds that she is now advising Biden about during the current GameStop stock craze:
During Thursday’s White House press conference, Biden administration press secretary Jen Psaki flippantly downplayed the potentially massive conflict of interest raised by Biden treasury Secretary Janet Yellen being paid in $810,000 in speaking fees by hedge fund Citadel LLC before refusing to recuse herself from advising Joe Biden on the Gamestop “meme stock” short squeeze, which heavily involves Citadel-owned trading platform Robinhood as well as the hedge fund itself.
You did mention, I believe yesterday, that the treasury secretary is monitoring the situation and is on top of it,” a reported stated during the press conference. “There have been some concerns about her previous engagements with Citadel and speaking fees that she has received from Citadel; are there any plans to have her recuse herself from advising the president on Gamestop and the whole Robinhood situation?”
Psaki has also drawn mockery for her overuse of the term “I’ll have to circle back with you” to avoid answering questions during press conferences.

Former Natural Gas Trader Pleads Guilty for Role in Commodities Insider Trading Scheme
A former natural gas trader pleaded guilty today to conspiracy to commit commodities fraud and wire fraud for his role in an insider trading scheme. John Ed James, 51, of Katy, Texas, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit commodities fraud and wire fraud before U.S. District Judge Vanessa Gilmore of the Southern District of Texas. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 26, 2021, before Judge Gilmore.
As part of his guilty plea, James admitted that he conspired with others to misappropriate material, nonpublic information and to use that information to engage in fraudulent, pre-arranged trades in natural gas futures contracts. These pre-arranged trades generated approximately $966,403 in illicit proceeds. He further admitted that the net profits from these fraudulent trades were split between himself and others involved in the fraudulent trading scheme. James also admitted that he and others agreed to falsely document certain proceeds as income on IRS forms in part to conceal the true nature of the funds and to make the illicit profits appear to be legitimate income paid. In a related case, Marcus Schultz, 41, previously pleaded guilty before Judge Gilmore on July 20, 2020, to a one-count information charging him with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and to violate various provisions of the Commodity Exchange Act, including 17 C.F.R. § 180.1. Sentencing is scheduled for June 14, 2021. This matter marks the Department of Justice’s first effort to prosecute insider trading in the commodity markets under Section 180.1.
This case is the result of an ongoing investigation by the FBI’s Houston Field Office and the IRS-CI’s Houston Field Office. Trial Attorneys Jennifer Farer, Drew Bradylyons, and Della Sentilles of the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Suzanne Elmilady of the Southern District of Houston are prosecuting the case.
The Criminal Division’s Fraud Section plays a pivotal role in the Department of Justice’s fight against white collar crime around the country and is the national leader in prosecuting fraud and manipulation in the U.S. commodity markets.

U.S.-Based Promoter of Foreign Cryptocurrency Companies Charged in over $11 Million Securities Fraud Scheme
A California man was charged in a complaint unsealed today for his alleged participation in a coordinated cryptocurrency and securities fraud scheme that used purported digital currency platforms and foreign-based financial accounts.
John DeMarr, 55, of Santa Ana, was charged in a complaint filed in the Eastern District of New York with one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud. DeMarr made his initial appearance this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Early of the Central District of California. Judge Early referred the case to the Eastern District of New York for further proceedings.
“The indictment alleges an elaborate scheme in which the defendant conspired to lure unsuspecting investors with fraudulent promises of large returns in the cryptocurrency market, only to divert millions of dollars for his own personal use,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Nicholas L. McQuaid of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “While the technologies and methods are constantly changing, the Criminal Division’s commitment to aggressively pursuing fraud in all its forms remains unchanged.”
“As alleged, DeMarr made misrepresentations and false promises that coaxed investors into pouring millions of dollars into fraudulent cryptocurrency schemes, all to facilitate his extravagant lifestyle,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Seth D. DuCharme of the Eastern District of New York. “We will continue to root out and prosecute those who would cheat investors to line their own pockets.”
“Mr. DeMarr created an elaborate cryptocurrency scheme, complete with high profile endorsements and incredibly large returns that proved to be a mirage costing investors millions,” said Assistant Director in Charge Kristi K. Johnson of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office. “Mr. DeMarr is now in custody and no longer spending his victims' money, nor hiding from justice by faking his own disappearance.”
“In today’s hi-tech financial world there are increasingly more opportunities for fraudsters to take advantage of people and their bank accounts,” said Special Agent in Charge Ryan Korner of the IRS-Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) Los Angeles Field Office. “John DeMarr’s Bitcoin operation is one such example of a cryptocurrency investment scheme that did not payoff for his investors. Claiming to be part of a cryptocurrency ‘ecosystem,’ DeMarr created nothing more than an elaborate fraud scheme where he stole his investors’ money to fund his own personal lifestyle, resulting in losses totaling over $11 million. Financial crimes never pay, as one way or another the person behind the computer will be caught and will be held accountable.”
As alleged in the complaint, between 2017 and 2018, DeMarr conspired with others to defraud numerous victims of $11.4 million by inducing them to invest in their companies, “Start Options” and “B2G,” based on materially false and misleading representations. Start Options purported to be an online investment platform that provided cryptocurrency mining, trading, and digital asset trading services. B2G was purportedly an “ecosystem” that would allow users to trade B2G tokens, provide digital wallet staking, and trade digitial and fiat currencies “on a secure, comprehensive platform.”
According to the allegations, however, both Start Options and B2G were fraudulent. In approximately December 2017, DeMarr and others began offering securities in the form of investment contracts to U.S. and international investors through the Start Options website. Investments were accepted in Bitcoin, U.S. dollars, or Euros. To participate, investors had to deposit their funds for a specified contract period, after which they could purportedly withdraw their money at a significant profit.

Man wanted in ex-Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn's escape accuses US of 'betrayal'
A U.S. Army Special Forces veteran accused, along with his son, of smuggling former Nissan Motor Co. Chair Carlos Ghosn out of Japan in a box is imploring U.S. officials to block their extradition. In an interview with The Associated Press on Monday, days after a judge cleared the way for the pair to be handed over to Japan, Michael Taylor said he fears they will be treated unfairly in the Japanese legal system. Taylor, a former Green Beret and private security specialist from Massachusetts, said he feels betrayed that the U.S. would try to turn him over to Japan after his service to the country.
"You dedicate your time in the military and you serve in combat and you do a whole bunch of other things," Taylor said from the suburban Boston jail where he and his son, Peter Taylor, have been locked up since May. "And now they volunteer to extradite me and my son to Japan for something like this? Yeah, you feel a great sense of betrayal." The U.S. Department of State agreed in October to hand the pair over to Japan, but a court judge put the extradition on hold after their lawyers filed an emergency petition. The judge rejected the petition last week, clearing the way for the extradition, but the men's lawyers are now appealing to the Boston-based federal appeals court. Paul Kelly, one of their attorneys, said the U.S. has assured them it will not seek to surrender the Taylors to Japan before Feb. 12.
The White House didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment about the case. The State Department referred questions to the Department of Justice. A DOJ spokesperson said anyone extradited to Japan to be tried for alleged crimes committed there "will be afforded all due process and other rights typically available to all defendants facing criminal charges in Japan." Lawyers for the Taylors have not denied the allegations but say the men cannot be extradited because "bail jumping" is not a crime in Japan and, therefore, helping someone evade their bail conditions isn't a crime either. They say the men will be subjected to "mental and physical torture" in Japan, describing its criminal justice system as "akin to that of an authoritarian regime."
The Taylors' defense team had been lobbying the Trump White House to step in. The father and son hired two high-powered attorneys with connections to former President Donald Trump Abbe Lowell, who has represented Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and Ty Cobb, a former Trump White House attorney in the hopes the case would catch Trump's attention before he left office.
Now, Taylor said he's hopeful President Joe Biden's administration will take a fresh look at the case.

How are you feeling tonight?
Getting tired of watching your freedoms stolen from you, your family and your friends?
Getting tired of watching criminals stay out of jail and stay in government?
Getting tired of a “media” hiding the truth and spewing lies/propaganda?
Getting tired of worrying about your job?
Getting tired of being told to wear a mask and being told how far you can stand from other human beings?
Getting tired of sending your money overseas to be wasted or investing it for your future only to see it manipulated by strangers for their benefit to your loss?
Getting tired of your friends being terrorized and threatened by the FBI for simply attending peacefully a political assembly to support President Trump?
Getting tired of being threatened because you merely speak truth and exercise your First Amendment rights?
Getting tired of being told when and how you can worship God with your fellow believers?
I am.
I do NOT advocate and would never advocate violence. But I believe in non-violent civil disobedience urged and exercised by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I believe in the Power of The People.
My next post will discuss some lawful acts We The People must start undertaking now before we lose all of our freedoms.
It is time to once again reclaim our Bill of Rights. Every one of them.
Now more than ever, It is time to pray to Almighty God ask God to strike this evil down.
We The People will not go quietly in the night.

Erdogan: 'It Is Perhaps Time to Debate New Constitution'
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggested on Monday that the time has come for Turkey to have a new constitution.
"It is perhaps time to debate a new constitution. We will soon present to the public our ideas on a new reforms package — its philosophy, aims, and goals," he told reporters.
Erdogan said a new constitution should be written in a transparent manner with the help of the people. He did not elaborate on possible changes.
Turkey held a referendum in 2017 on constitutional amendments that allowed Erdogan to win sweeping new powers by having the country switch from a parliamentary democracy to a presidential system. The voting followed a failed coup attempt in July 2016.
In April 2018, Erdogan announced snap presidential and parliamentary elections, explaining the move by the need to switch to the presidential system in the country and enforce the constitutional amendments that were adopted in 2017.
Following the amendments, relations between Turkey and the European Union deteriorated sharply, with EU leaders stepping up their criticism of Erdogan. In late January, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Ankara is ready to fulfill all the requirements for joining the EU, but the bloc is unwilling to grant membership to Turkey for political reasons. Following the UK's departure from the bloc, Erdogan called on the EU to grant Turkey membership.
Negotiations on Turkey's full accession to the European Union began in 2005. However, relations between Brussels and Ankara deteriorated throughout 2020 due to long-standing disagreements over Islamism and human rights, as well as a major feud around Turkey's gas drilling in Greek- and Cypriot-claimed territorial waters in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Back in 2017, Erdogan said that Turkey was no longer in need of membership in the bloc, and would follow its own path. The Turkish leader added that EU policy was bound to Turkey, but Brussels was not supporting Ankara in its fight against terrorism.

What can we do non-violently within the law to fight back to reclaim our freedom?
1. Pray, pray, pray. Pray Psalms 35, 37, 140-145.
2. Tell your friends who think the election was legal to go get a mental health examination. They are the ones who are crazy or willfully ignorant.
3. Call a Communist a Communist. Do not be intimidated - exercise your free speech to the maximum extent allowed by law.
4. Make sure you do not buy anything made in China. When you a find a cell phone made in America, throw away your iPhone. In the meantime, do not spend a dime with Apple, Google, Amazon, Walmart, or other major companies who do business with the enemy. Cut off their money. Boycott them.
5. Write members of the military and tell them you love the fact that they will never dishonor their oath to defend the Constitution, freedom, and the People.
6. Injustice inflicted on one is injustice inflicted on all. Stand up for your fellow Patriots. If one is being mistreated or harassed for their belief in freedom and support of President Trump, flood the enemy with emails and voice mails with words supporting your fellow Patriot and decrying injustice. Stand up for your fellow Patriots. Let your voice be heard over and over again.
7. Turn off your television. Do NOT watch any mainstream media. None of their movies, comedies, game shows, or other meaningful mind junk.
8. Read books that tell you how to effectively battle Communism and lawfully resist a color revolution.
9. Don’t be afraid to wear a MAGA cap. The enemy is scared to death of them.
10. Consider selling your stocks before the enemy intentionally crashes the market to steal your money. 401(k)’s are worth $0 under communism. Buy precious metals and land.
More to follow.https://t.me/linwoodspeakstruth/365

Unrestricted Warfare
Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui
People’s Liberation Army, 1999
CIA Translation
“Only a handful of soldiers are likely to grasp a principle that every American statesman already knows:
The biggest difference between contemporary wars and the wars of the past is that, in contemporary wars, the overt goal and the covert goal are often two different matters.
Iraq, which one year was still fiercely attacking Iran on behalf of the U.S. in the Iran-Iraq War, itself became the target of a fierce attack by the U.S. military in the next year (see Endnote 1). An Afghan guerilla trained by the CIA becomes the latest target for an attack by U.S. cruise missiles overnight.
All of this serves to again confirm that old saying: "all friendship is in flux; self-interest is the only constant." The kaleidoscope of war is turned by the hands of self-interest, presenting constantly shifting images to the observers.”

Enemies Of The State Vs. Enemies Of The People
by Tyler Durden - Tuesday, Feb 02, 2021 - 0:00
Authored by Frank Miele via RealClearPolitics.com,
I didn’t declare war on the establishment; it declared war on me.
It declared war on me when it supported energy policies that could enrich Saudi Arabia and Russia and would cost me more money at the gas pump or on my power bill.
It declared war on me when it told me my ideas weren’t worthy of debate and discussion or that they were even so dangerous they couldn’t be shared publicly.
It declared war on me when it used the police powers of the FBI and CIA to first spy on a presidential candidate and then worked to undermine the administration of that candidate after he was elected.
It declared war on me when it told me my religious beliefs did not deserve the protection of the First Amendment.
It declared war on me when it told me boys could compete against girls in high school sports and that they could shower together afterwards.
It declared war on me when it offered citizenship to illegal aliens and shipped American jobs to China.
It declared war on me when it mocked the usefulness of a wall on the Mexican border and simultaneously put up a razor-wire fence around the Capitol.
It declared war on me when it tried to defund the police so that millions of Americans would be left defenseless against mobs from antifa and Black Lives Matter.
It declared war on me when it said America was never great.
It declared war on me when it told my children they are not good enough because they are white.
It declared war on me when it said that defending the Constitution’s rules on federal elections is sedition.
It declared war on me when it told me that I was a domestic terrorist if I didn’t believe the government’s official pronouncements about elections, about free speech, and about right and wrong.
Let’s just say it plainly: The establishment declared war on me and on all conservative Americans when it decided that leftist orthodoxy was more important than the Constitution.
Don’t believe me? Fine, why should you believe a Trump supporter? You’ve been indoctrinated by the national media, Big Tech oligarchs, the Democratic Party, and academic elites to believe without questioning that people like me can’t be trusted. But you don’t have to take my word for it.

Listen instead to John Brennan, the former CIA director under President Obama, who speaks authoritatively for the Deep State:
He said on MSNBC that “the members of the Biden team who have been nominated or have been appointed, are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we've seen overseas, where they germinate in different parts of the country and they gain strength and it brings together an unholy alliance frequently of religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”
This “guilt by labeling” is the antithesis of fair play or justice. It is a convenient mechanism for the ruling class to herd people into identity clusters so that individual rights can be supplanted by group responsibility. If this reminds you of China’s Cultural Revolution, you are not wrong. The ruling class wants you to conform, confirm and comply. If you step outside the lines, be prepared to be shamed, silenced and ostracized.
A shocking example was provided Wednesday when Douglass Mackey of Delray Beach, Fla., was arrested for creating memes that allegedly misled voters in 2016 to think they could vote by texting instead of by actually going to the polls. This is the equivalent of arresting Sacha Baron Cohen for exposing the gullibility of the rich and famous. The FBI offered no evidence that Mackey actually convinced anyone not to vote, but even if it did, so what? Would you rather live in a country where the FBI is hunting down pranksters — four years after the supposed transgression — or a country where voters are expected to be able to recognize a joke when they see one?
But nothing can be taken for granted any more. The people — and even their representatives and senators — are considered enemies of the state because they hold opinions that don’t meet the standards of Joe Biden or (this is even scarier!) Jake Tapper.
No wonder the people are starting to rise up and rebel against the plutocracy.
It’s not “We the Oligarchs” who are the source of power in the Constitution, but “We the People,” yet the ruling establishment has forgotten that.
If people like Donald Trump and Douglass Mackey are deemed to be “enemies of the state,” then those who would suppress them and their freedoms must be considered “enemies of the people.”
A house divided against itself cannot long stand, but if there is to be a truce it will not come from submission, but from a recognition that all people are created equal, that they all have certain inalienable rights, and that among those are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Those words were worth fighting for once. Are they worth fighting for today?
I don’t know, but I do know this: If Americans can’t have liberty, we can’t have America either - at least not one that is distinguishable from China. The time has come to make a choice.

Thousands Of Maskless Orthodox Jews Ignore Israeli Lockdown To Attend Funerals
by Tyler Durden - Monday, Feb 01, 2021 - 23:40
Thousands of Orthodox Israelis poured into Jerusalem's streets to attend two separate funerals Sunday despite the country's ban on large public gatherings, according to AP News.
The first funeral procession was for Rabbi Meshulam Dovid Soloveitchik, who died at the age of 99 after contracting COVID-19 three months ago.
Photographs from Soloveitchik's funeral procession showed a large group of ultra-Orthodox Israelis' winding down city streets without face masks nor properly social distancing.
Many of the Orthodox Jews in attendance defied the country's third coronavirus lockdown. Local media reported police set up roadblocks and were able to turn away twenty tour busses heading to the ceremony.
… but still, thousands of Orthodox Jews flooded the streets of Jerusalem.

Deputy Health Minister Yoav Kisch tweeted that the gathering was "very bad in every way."
On Sunday evening, thousands of mourners attended a second funeral for rabbi, Yitzhok Scheiner, 98, who died from virus-related complications.

Alon Halfon, a Jerusalem police official, told Channel 13 TV that police were overwhelmed by the crowd size and that health violations were issued.
Orthodox Jews have been in strong opposition to face masks and pandemic restrictions. Many of them have refused to abide by the rules in Israel and also in New York City.
Israel's Health Ministry recorded 640,000 infections and nearly 5,000 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The country has been averaging around 6,000 infections per day, one of the highest in the world.
Time will tell, it could take weeks for infections to flare up following the mass gathering events this weekend.

How the Washington Administration Responded to an “Insurrection”
By: TJ Martinell - Monday, Feb 01, 2021 - 23:20 |Categories: George Washington, History
The recent protests and storming of the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6 produced a hysterical reaction from both pundits and the federal government. This contrasts wildly with the response to an actual rebellion during the Republic’s early days.
The new federal government didn’t respond to the so-called Whiskey Rebellion with crackdowns on civil liberties to “prevent another rebellion” as many seem to want to do today.
In 1794 Kentucky and Pennsylvania farmers took up arms in opposition to a federal whiskey excise tax. The Whiskey Rebellion concluded with President George Washington calling up the militia to suppress the rebels, who dispersed before any real fighting occurred.
Interpretations of the rebellion vary. Some view Washington’s decision as a vital move to preserve the then-fledgling federal government’s legitimacy after Shay’s Rebellion eight years prior had prompted the founders to replace the Articles of Confederation in favor of a stronger central government. However, others consider the rebels as patriots resisting an unjust tax on whiskey, which was frequently used as a means of exchange in frontier areas where coinage was scarce.
To be sure, Washington reacted initially in a manner utterly restrained compared to what we could expect today. Even after invoking the Militia Act of 1792 allowing him to call up state militiamen, he sent state officials to the rebels and tried to reach a peaceful resolution, without success.
However, a separate issue to look at is the aftermath of the rebellion. Roughly 150 men were arrested and tried for treason. Yet only two men were found guilty, and they were later pardoned by Washington himself.
In his seventh state of the union address Washington defended his decision:
For though I shall always think it a sacred duty to exercise with firmness and energy the constitutional powers with which I am vested, yet it appears to me no less consistent with the public good than it is with my personal feelings to mingle in the operations of Government every degree of moderation and tenderness which the national justice, dignity, and safety may permit.
As historian Carol Berkin noted in a 2017 lecture, “not a single person really ever served a jail term. Everybody was given amnesty. Nobody was cruelly beaten or destroyed. But the power, the authority of the federal government was upheld.”
Perhaps Washington and other Founders holding office realized the appearance of hypocrisy for condemning men as traitors who acted as they had just a few decades earlier.
At the same time, it’s not so much what Washington and Congress did as what they didn’t do or even propose to do. Reading through diaries, letters, and correspondence from founders ranging from George Washington and Alexander Hamilton to Thomas Jefferson written during the rebellion, there is no instance I could find in which they advocated or suggested the civil rights restrictions such as firearms ownership or freedom of speech and assembly. There was no call for a permanent standing army. This is on top of the fact that nothing was actually proposed and then enacted.

In fact, Jefferson wrote sympathetically of the rebellion in a Dec. 28, 1794 letter to John Adams, calling the whiskey tax “an infernal one. The first error was to admit it by the Constitution.”
He wrote further that hatred of the law in those states was “universal, and has now associated to it a detestation of the government; & that separation which perhaps was a very distant & problematical event, is now near, & certain, & determined in the mind of every man.”
Not surprisingly, Jefferson would later repeal the excise tax when elected president.
Even federalists like Alexander Hamilton in ways sought to avoid violence that might have demonstrated the power of the new government, albeit he did advocate hanging some of the rebel leaders. In an Aug. 29, 1794 letter to Maryland Governor Thomas Lee, he wrote of avoiding “the necessity of using force now & at future periods” by keeping the militia deployed in good morale.
In all the correspondence Hamilton had with George Washington, not one advocated for the confiscation of firearms from the regions where the rebellion had occurred. Nor was there a call to restrict firearm ownership of any type among the general population to prevent similar rebellions in the future. The federal government didn’t use the “crisis” as an excuse to enlarge itself, as some sought with the Alien and Sedition Act passed four years later
While Washington’s best opportunity to make himself a military dictator occurred just after the War of Independence ended with him still in charge of the continental army, the Whiskey Rebellion theoretically could have afforded him another chance – one that he likely never even contemplated.
The comparatively restrained response by Washington to the rebellion demonstrated that it is not necessary to take away liberties to maintain civil order or “keep us safe.”
Writing in reaction to Shay’s Rebellion, Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to James Madison saying rebellions were a “medecine necessary for the sound health of government” and that “honest republican governors” should be “so mild in their punishment of rebellions, as not to discourage them too much.”
What many people fail to grasp is that rebellions and insurrections aren’t always found in physical confrontations, and the “medicine necessary for the sound health of government” can be applied just as effectively through the nullification of unconstitutional federal acts. Incidentally, Jefferson referred to nullification as the “rightful remedy.”
The histrionic and totalitarian rhetoric coming from the federal government today over a handful of people storming the U.S. Capitol demonstrates how fragile its perceived legitimacy is today. It is a government that overreacts to minor incidents because deep down its members are terrified of any meaningful defiance or resistance to their rule.
They realize how easily D.C. tyranny could end if the American people were united in common opposition to unconstitutional actions in a manner that reduced their power, rather than give the largest government in the world the further pretext to expand it.
