One of the documents produced is a Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Event Reports of [the Vaccine] Received Through 28-Feb-2021, which is a mere 2 ½ months after the vaccine received emergency use authorization (EUA).
Pfizer explains, on page 6, that ‘Due to the large numbers of spontaneous adverse event reports received for the product, [Pfizer] has prioritised the processing of serious cases…’ and that Pfizer ‘has also taken a [sic] multiple actions to help alleviate the large increase of adverse event reports’ including ‘increasing the number of data entry and case processing colleagues’ and ‘has onboarded approximately [REDACTED] additional fulltime employees (FTEs).’ Query why it is proprietary to share how many people Pfizer had to hire to track all of the adverse events being reported shortly after launching its product.
As for the volume of reports, in the 2 ½ months following EUA, Pfizer received a total of 42,086 reports containing 158,893 ‘events.’ Most of these reports disproportionately involved women (29,914 vs. 9,182 provided by men) and those between 31 and 50 years old. Also, 25,957 [more than half] of the events were classified as ‘Nervous system disorders.’
But no cause for alarm since Pfizer explains to the FDA: ‘The findings of these signal detection analyses are consistent with the known safety profile of the vaccine.’ So if they knew these issues were going to arise, then why didn’t they appear to have enough staff to process this expected volume of reports?

A Senate Republican source with knowledge of the situation told PennLive the initial contract with Envoy Sage will be narrowly focused on reviewing information that is publicly accessible, such as combing through hundreds of tips citizens submitted testifying to their personal experiences with perceived voter fraud.
“The contract covers document analysis, consultation, review of election concerns, and affidavits submitted to the committee, analysis of other election integrity initiatives across the nation, and more,” GOP spokesman Jason Thompson said.
Sen. Cris Dush, chair of the Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee, is an Air Force veteran with experience working for the Department of Defense. He found Envoy Sage through contacts at the Defense Department and veteran groups, Thompson said.
Disgruntled Senate Minority Leader Jay Costa noted that the contract was being signed the same week Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, who is the highest-ranking member of the chamber and supports the ballot review, announced his Republican campaign for governor. “This is not good government; it is bad politics,” Costa said.

Nevada Becomes First State To Impose Surcharge On Unvaccinated Workers
Nevada on Thursday became the first U.S. state to impose a surcharge on workers who have not gotten a COVID-19 vaccine, though the penalty doesn’t take effect until the middle of next year.
All but two members of the state’s Public Employees’ Benefit Program Board (PEBP) voted during a meeting to approve a surcharge of $55 a month on unvaccinated workers.
The approved proposal also stipulates a surcharge of $175 a month for workers’ spouses, partners, and dependents 18 and older. That could be adjusted down the road.
The surcharges will go into effect on July 1, 2022.
They’ll help offset the costs of COVID-19 testing, Laura Rich, executive officer of the board, said.
Testing costs through September were estimated at $3.3 million.
The board did not analyze the cost of COVID-19 hospitalizations for the proposal because that would have made the surcharge for spouses and dependents “significantly higher,” Rich said. State rules bar making the surcharge on workers any higher.
Nevada’s Department of Labor last month released guidance saying the surcharges were legal, and Rich compared them to surcharges on smokers imposed by plans in the past.
Exemptions are available for religious or medical reasons, as required by law.
Public commenters during the meeting, and those submitting written statements, spoke out against the proposal before the vote.
“I believe that the proposed surcharge is inappropriate and excessive,” Ellen Crecelius, one member of the public, said in a statement. She noted that many people enjoy natural immunity, or the protection one gets after having recovered from COVID-19.
Shanna Cobb-Adams said she already pays $255.06 a month. The new surcharges would increase that by 90 percent. She expressed concern about her 18-year-old son getting a vaccine when studies show that young males are at elevated risk of developing heart inflammation after getting a vaccine, while COVID-19 poses little risk to healthy youth without serious underlying health conditions.
Another commenter noted that Gov. Steve Sisolak, a Democrat, is the one forcing workers to get tested weekly if they don’t get a vaccine. “The unvaccinated should not have to foot the bill for the agency’s unjust decisions,” she wrote. “The fact is vaccinated and unvaccinated employees both can contract and spread the virus equally, yet the state has decided to only put the hardships on the unvaccinated unfairly.”
Some members also voiced opposition to the proposal, and two voted against it.
Several state residents did support the measure, including one who said that “anti-vaxxers should pay for their choice since their freedom is not free.”
Sisolak’s policy director, DuAne Young, said that the pandemic “has been shouldered on the burden of everyone.”
“And now this particular burden—the testing—should be shouldered on the burden of those who refuse to (be vaccinated),” Young added.
Some companies have imposed surcharges but no states had before Thursday.
Discussions with entities that had imposed penalties pointed to benefits like increasing the percent of workers who are vaccinated and offsetting rising costs, Rich said. If the board did not approve the surcharges, every workers’ premium, regardless of vaccination status, would need to be hiked, she said.
Revenue from the surcharges is expected to be about $18 million a year. Testing costs are pegged at ranging from $12 million to $24 million.
Prior to the vote, representatives for the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees and the Nevada Faculty Alliance said the unions were not taking a position on the proposal.
Terri Laird, representing the Retired Public Employees of Nevada, said the organization also was neutral on the surcharges.
But, she told members, the added costs would “burden many employees.”

The state government is looking to scrap vaccine mandates due to threats and abuse towards workers in the retail industry, including a staff member who was allegedly pushed down an escalator after asking an unmasked man for his vaccination certificate.
The controversial coronavirus vaccination mandates in Victoria could be scrapped in the New Year as concerns rise over abuse towards retail workers who have to enforce the rules on shoppers.
The state government is looking at removing the directive in all but high-risk settings as early as January, according to the Herald Sun.
In October, Premier Daniel Andrews suggested the mandate could be in place till April or even longer due to a spike in COVID-19 cases at the time.
Government officials said a series of incidents of workers being abused for enforcing the jab mandate has led them to reconsider their approach.
"The high rate of vaccinations, the passing of the pandemic bills which sidelines the chief health officers, and the high-profile incidents of violence have led to a change of thinking," a source told the publication.
"There will still be mandates in place in high-risk settings even after any change."
In one case, a Melbourne bookstore has been forced to hire private security guards, at a cost of $4,000 a week, over attacks on staff members.
Victoria Police are investigating an incident where a Dymocks employee was allegedly pushed down an escalator after he reportedly asked a customer to prove his vaccination status and to check-in to the store.
CCTV footage showed the staff member try and stop the man, wearing a distinctive rainbow hoodie, from going down the escalator to the book store before he was pushed with his head hitting a step.
The worker is seen clutching his head as he laid motionless on the moving escalator.
A bystander pushed the emergency stop button as other Good Samaritans rushed to his aid. It's believed he was treated for a mild concussion.
The man who pushed the staff member is seen going back up the escalator seconds later.

As many as 19,000 active-duty Marines and Navy sailors reportedly remain unvaccinated after the Biden administration's Nov. 28 deadline.
Military leaders have vowed to expel personnel declining to comply with the mandate, according to The Washington Post.
In each service branch, the number of holdouts is roughly 9,500, according to official counts by the newspaper.
That 5% of Marines are unvaccinated had been anticipated. But the Navy had a larger pool of unvaccinated sailors than had been projected. The Navy, in announcing its final tally this week, said officials had uncovered last-minute "discrepancies" with a data-tracking system.
As recently as last week, official data showed 99.8% of sailors had at least one shot by Sunday's deadline. The accurate number is just over 97%, The Post also reports.
More than 8,800 members of the U.S. Air Force also have declined to get vaccinated.
In all three services, many are awaiting decisions on exemption requests. However, the number of permanent waivers granted is expected to be nominal.
Army data shows 4% of its active force, about 19,000 soldiers, have not received any vaccine dose, with a compliance deadline of Dec. 15.
The vast majority of service members have complied with the Pentagon's vaccination mandate, but even a small percentage of the military's 2.1 million troops begin unvaccinated, and perhaps expelled, translates to tens of thousands of people, also according to The Post.

Prince Andrew has again taken to horse-riding in a bid to distract himself from the explosive Ghislaine Maxwell sex trafficking trial in New York.
The Duke of York was out on a black steed with another rider near his home at Windsor Castle while bombshells continued to flood out of his old friend's court case.
The royal was earlier seen looking stony-faced as he drove his Range Rover through the grounds before taking to the saddle with his companion.
He has been mentioned three times in the trial so far - by Jeffrey Epstein's pilot - who said he flew with the disgraced financier - by one of the victims Jane - who said he remembered Andrew on the plane - and his former housekeeper - who said Andrew was 'always polite and a very nice guy. He was the only guy who left us a tip'.
Maxwell's court case in the US today heard from Epstein's former housekeeper who revealed the 'imperious' nature of Maxwell while he was employed under the couple.
Juan Alessi, 72, took the stand Thursday during the fourth day of Maxwell's sex trafficking trial and revealed how she wanted the house run like a 'five-star hotel,' which included washing Epstein's car, stuffing it with $100 bills and avoiding eye contact with him, as Maxwell claimed he detested it.
Staff were allegedly handed a 58-page 'Household Manual' filled with demands: 'Try and anticipate the needs of Mr. Epstein, Ms. Maxwell and their guests;' 'Do not discuss personal problems with guests;' 'Unobtrusive is the key;' 'SMILE!' and 'NEVER disclose Mr. Epstein or Ms. Maxwell's activities or whereabouts to anyone.'

President Joe Biden’s massive Afghan resettlement operation, with no end date, has been funded by Congress to the sum of more than $13 billion thanks to 19 Senate Republicans who helped advance the plan.
Late Thursday evening, House Democrats and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) passed a government funding bill that will keep the federal government operating through mid-February. In the bill, Afghans and other foreign nationals are identified as “individuals at risk” who can take part in “relocations” to the U.S. “as a result of the situation in Afghanistan.”
Senate Republican support for Biden’s Afghan resettlement operation comes even as Republican voters are deeply opposed to the plan, multiple polls have shown. The latest Pew Research Center survey shows that 63 percent of GOP voters oppose the plan.
In addition, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has admitted that “not all” Afghans are being vetted through standard in-person interview procedures.
“We are not conducting in-person, refugee interviews of 100 percent individuals,” Mayorkas told lawmakers last month during a hearing.
Afghans are being temporarily housed across various U.S. military bases in Texas, New Jersey, Virginia, Wisconsin, Indiana, and New Mexico. From there, they are resettled across 46 states, at a rate of about 4,000 resettled every day, as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) help to secure them jobs.
The nation’s Afghan population has exploded since former President George W. Bush started the Afghanistan War in 2001. The number of Afghans living in the U.S., for instance, has shot up to 133,000 in 2019 — more than three times the 44,000 Afghans who lived in the U.S. before the start of the war.
The data revealed also that most Afghan arrivals in the U.S. live on welfare.

Twitter says it has mistakenly suspended accounts after “coordinated and malicious reports” following its new privacy policy.
Twitter spokesman Trenton Kennedy said in a statement Friday it had mistakenly suspended accounts after a “significant amount” of “coordinated and malicious reports” targeted accounts, The Washington Post reported.
The high volume of reports caused enforcement teams at Twitter to make “several errors.”
The statement came after The Washington Post reported far-right activists were targeting anti-extremism journalists following Twitter’s new privacy policy.
The vaguely worded policy that has received much criticism says a person can request a photo or video tweeted of themselves to be removed if it was put up without their consent.
The policy’s goal is to prevent “the misuse of media to harass or intimidate private individuals.”

Jussie Smollett’s lawyers claim judge ‘lunged’ at one of them, ask for a mistrial

CHICAGO — Jussie Smollett’s attorneys asked for a mistrial Thursday after the judge called their evidence irrelevant in front of the jury and “physically lunged” at one of the actor’s lawyers.
The odd fracas came in the midst of the defense’s cross-examination of Olabinjo Osundairo, who claims he was paid to help Smollett stage the hate crime, as attorney Tamara Walker grilled him about his alleged homophobia and past derogatory remarks toward suspected gay men.
Osundairo, 30, had just acknowledged he used the word “fruity ass” to refer to a man he suspected was gay and Walker asked if Smollett, who is openly gay, knew he’d said such things in the past.
Judge James Linn called the line of questioning “collateral” in front of the jury, indicating it didn’t have any relevance to the crime Smollett’s on trial for because it was from a past event, prompting Walker to ask for a sidebar.
While the attorneys were conferring with Linn, Walker claimed he “physically lunged” at her when she presented the motion for a mistrial, a claim the justice vigorously denied and which was not witnessed by The Post.
“When you said the word mistrial on these grounds, frankly I was stunned you’d even consider a mistrial based on this,” Linn said.
“I marched right back behind my bench,” he continued, adding he didn’t lunge at Walker.
Walker appeared close to tears as she argued with the judge and soon left the courtroom with her mother, who was in the gallery, as the rest of Smollett’s team continued to ask for a mistrial.

Team Biden, you can’t blame looting gangs on COVID and Trump — look in the mirror

It’s all Donald Trump’s fault. Or COVID. Whatever the issue, count on Team Biden to shift the blame to the pandemic — or the president’s predecessor.
That’s precisely what happened Thursday when White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki — in an incredible stretch, even for her — claimed COVID-19 was a “root cause” of the outbreak of smash-and-grab attacks plaguing the country.
“When a huge group of criminals organizes themselves, and they want to go loot a store, CVS and Nordstrom, a Home Depot, until the shelves are clean, you think that’s because of the pandemic?” asked Fox News’ Peter Doocy.
“I think a root cause in a lot of communities is the pandemic. Yes,” replied Psaki.
Then again, Biden himself has pointed to the coronavirus as a source of rising crime, but no one seriously believes that.
“This has nothing to do with the pandemic,” a former law-enforcement official and security consultant, Pete Eliadis, says. “The pandemic is overused at this point.” We’ll say!
But Psaki didn’t stop there. She also suggested Big Bad President Donald Trump failed to allot enough federal money for local cops, while Biden, by contrast, upped the aid.
Hello? Local crime is supposed to be dealt with by local communities using local funds. The smash-and-grabs are no more Trump’s fault (or COVID’s) than is the nationwide surge in murders.
The truth? Psaki and Biden are trying to cover for disastrous policies pushed by progressives in the nation’s Democratic-run cities — and by the president himself.
Blue states have removed consequences for crime, via measures like bail reform, lower penalties, higher thresholds for felonies and assorted legal handcuffs on cops. Woke prosecutors refuse to investigate crimes and charge criminals. Judges offer convicts lenient sentences or set them free altogether.
In 2014, California’s voters passed Proposition 47, which changed crimes like shoplifting and grand theft from felonies to misdemeanors. Raiding a store for goods valued at less than $950 became just a misdemeanor.
Meanwhile, prosecutors, like San Francisco’s Chesa Boudin, have signaled that they’ll all but close their eyes to low-level violations and perhaps even to some serious crimes.
Notably, Los Angeles and San Francisco along with some of its suburbs have suffered devastating attacks on retail outlets. A mob of 18 looters broke into a Nordstrom in LA last week. In Walnut Creek, near San Francisco, 80-strong stormed a Nordstrom in November, while another group hit ’Frisco’s Union Square, targeting 10 stores there. Stores in the Golden State are now closing by the dozen for fear of robbery.
New York City, too, has gone soft on crime in recent years and (surprise!) also seen shoplifting soar: By September, there were more such cases here up to that point than in 26 years. (Last year, murders here were also up more than 40 percent.)
Biden, Psaki & Co. have used the Trump and/or COVID excuse for other messes they’ve created — at the border, with the economy — and you can bet they will again. But you’d think at some point they’d realize Americans can simply no longer take them seriously.
