Is it a good place to ask how to improve my filthy furry porn?

Pretty standard wooden manikin style. It's fine I guess but tbh you're probably going to want to know what the real thing looks like so you can put everything in context

I think /fur/'s a better place to ask solely because they have far more actual furry artists who are far more familiar with that kind of content than most artists here would be.
That said, your texturing is awful.

I got hit with the feeling that my art is nowhere where I want it to be, or where I thought it was. Please chuck critique at me so I can improve.

Your value range is pretty narrow, you should study that more. To troubleshoot while you're working, try turning the picture grayscale if the color is throwing you off. If you're using photoshop, just stick a hue/saturation adjustment layer at the top of the stack that you can turn on and off.
The shadow color looks off. Basically you should treat the background color as an environment casting indirect light, otherwise it looks disjointed. I'm not going to attempt to explain that, this guy does a better job.

Anatomically, consider how the neck is actually connected to the back of her head. With where that line is going, her head would be absolutely massive under that hair. It connects rather awkwardly to the upper back as well. You really need to study that area. Sam Webster does fantastic walkthroughs if you want to understand the body on a structural level. Apart from that, pull up some references and sketch.

>I got hit with the feeling that my art is nowhere where I want it to be, or where I thought it was.
That's a sign that you're improving. Get used to that feeling, it'll come back to haunt you regularly.

Fuck me, I never actually sat down and studied values ever, nor have I thought about the background color and how it meshes in with the lighting. The whole ambient lighting thing is also new to me, my lighting is utter trash.
That being said, I don't think I get the head problem. The redline would go somewhat like this, wouldn't it? Hate to chalk it up to muh style like a huge scrub, but I did mean to stylize it like that.
Either way, thanks a lot. I feel that you've given me something to follow up and work on.

Actually it seems slightly dead at the moment, nobody really visits their art threads :(
>your texturing is awful.
Thanks for pointing it out! Hopefully I'll find some youtube tutorials about this.

The back of the head on most people is visually rather small and high, most of the volume you see on someone with a ponytail is just the hair being pulled down by gravity. If you consider that this (reference) woman's skull might be a full inch into that mass, that's quite a difference from your drawing. Furthermore, when you tilt your head forward like that the silhouette tends to almost flatten out as the cranium is pitched forward, owing to the pivot being deeper into the neck. From what I've seen this tends to mostly be the case for stylized characters as well.
That being said, looking again I'm struggling to find any significant problem, some days I'm just a retard, and I wonder if I'm not trying a little too hard to prove myself right now. Anyway, I'm glad you got something out of it.
If anyone knows better feel free to tear me a new one I'm not too proud to be corrected and l want to learn as well kthxbye

I can't find the video with the thumbnail of what it reminded me of, so sorry. But it was one on the topic of like
>using photo references as a basis for an unrelated design
and they used an old film camera, as the basis for a robot. It looked sick, and I think it might be a neat watch for you, given what you're doing here.
Though, I can't find it anywhere now, so if anyone knows what I'm talking about, based on that vague description, please link it.

Made this thing to post on my web zone. Thought I'd share it here. A simple way to render stuff without having to spend forever painting edges. Feels more like the way things blend in oils and similar mediums.

Sausage fingers; at any rate the design isn't as distinct as her other design iirc, could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you're going for. It might help you determine what's best for your purposes by drawing the two full body side-by-side

Yeah, I need to work on my hands, given how much I use them in my characters body language. I'll keep that in mind, and brush up on them when I can.
And thanks. The design came out different from how I wanted it to, to begin with, so I'll consider doing that at some point. The other one is good, but I feel like there's more I could do with her's for later appearances.

Another little demo thing.
Made this to show a friend what I consider an effective way to study painting without adding a bunch of complicated stuff to the mix. Part of the idea is that you decide on the primary information (two major values in this case) and push them as far as you can, using them to suggest the secondary information (half tones). By doing so, you can make the form and impression read correctly while keeping things very simple and easy to manage.
Thought someone would find it cool and maybe helpful.

Had an exercise in class about trying to be "looser", but I think the end result looks like shit. At least it only took 2 hours, as opposed to the usual 20 these things take. Watercolor is slow as fuck. What do you think? Also, some brush pen drawings.

I've been relying on DAZ Studio and other reference pictures a lot lately, so I thought it would be a good idea to try to draw something from imagination. The composition and the poses are kind of boring, but what really bothered me was that I had to retouch some details digitally. And to think that one of my goals was to find a way to make drawings faster.
>>16141
Great work with the shading. I love how clean and soft her body looks. However, I can't help but think there's something off about the way in which her breasts interact with her fingers.

Like the other anon said, the hand-breast interaction looks a little iffy. It looks as if the breasts are made of fabric as opposed to skin and fat. Try grabbing something fleshy like your arm, idk and use that as a point of reference
