Basically it was the frontpage of Kotaku, so sidebar ads. Before the whole page was filled with them and in the after it's the stark white we know and love today.

There are original 3 files:

- The main Skype channel with all of them (the biggest)

- And two smaller "Serious Chats" with smaller groups

As well as one file with the highlights we found from all 3 logs

Here are the highlights we found:

- Randi Harper of Online Abuse Prevention Initiative doxed a Facebook group in the chat. CON (partnered with Twitter-Support) members celebrate and discuss how they can get people fired.

- Katherine Cross of Feminist Frequency praises Harper for doing this.

- CON members discuss that one of their goals is to make it so "GamerGaters" are fired and never find work again.

- In one particularly egregious case, they reported a disabled purple heart recipient for nothing other than disagreeing with them.

- CON lied about the involvement of Rob Marmolejo (@UnseenPerfidy), who was recently accused of having sexually harassed up 20 women, while working for CON.

- CON lied about the involvement of Israel "Izzy" Galvez (@iglvzx), who was recently shown to be associated with known trolls and who was just recently exposed as party to the failed doxing attempt of Twitter user @mombot.

- Confirmation that Wikipedia Editor Ryulong was involved with the group as he edited an article highlighted by Quinn within 2 hours of being contacted.

- They regularly engage in harassment, trolling, dogpiling and other things they claim to combat.

I think the biggest achievement of gamergate is that all the websites that hated the video game playing public in general were forced to admit that they hated their own audience who paid their bills. Some tried to reform, other closed or whatever but the key thing is they had been found out.

Activist movements generally try to stop more powerful groups from business as usual, going ahead with whatever fucked up plans they have. See: Vietnam War protests, Keystone XL pipeline protests, among others. The ones I mentioned are directed at government but they could just as easily be directed at corporations or particularly powerful people. in my timeline the internet was created in the earlier days of the military to create a new secret more secure form of communication, and the project was used by the earlier hackers who basically found and then began to use the internet for their own needs, and the military did nothing to stop it, but rather sat back and watched. they always wanted others to use it, because look at what it became today. today the internet is the largest worldwide surveilance system where people unknowingly or knowingly give their information to the entire world. However, it is beginning to appear more as though CERN may have hijacked the timeline for their own purposes and made themselves the original creators of the internet. in theory, how much money or power would one person hold if they were to go back in time and become the original creator of google, and never sell it?- let alone the entire internet?
