I know that feel, fellow wizard. Lucid dreaming, meditating, or astral projection when I can achieve my spirit body feels like trading in my Ford Focus for a Hellcat Charger. I can finally do capeshit stuff! Then I realize that in my mortal existence, I'm still playing the tutorial and I get even more excited about leveling up. Death is not the end for me. It's an achievement unlocked and the beginning of the story. The confines of flesh give us limitations, but the universe/God is infinite and eternal. I'm looking forward to cutting the cord too, anon.

I need to find an environment where I can be surrounded by others that meditate and so on but I find the illusion we call reality is not currently condusive to such environments in my country. Also I find meditation pretty boring and I lack determination to continue. I kind of want to just go live in a cave or something, but where I live that's illegal. I have intense spiritual experiences but have trouble finding teachers who are similar to me personality-wise.

Hmmmm. Have you ever experimented with sensory deprivation, anon? I think that just might be your ticket into expanding your spiritual horizon. Consider giving it a try and let us know how it turns out.

To be perfectly sincere, I never wanted to ascend, so the main reason I won't is because I like it here. I think this world is beautiful, Demiurge made a great job! So I want to experience all this beauty before committing 100% on the path. So I began to actually walk on a path to gain material stuff. I am still working on it. Hope I get some way to never need to work again so I can enjoy everything, do some nasty stuff and then walk the path again.

Hear me out, anon. It doesn't matter which path we may be traveling at this moment, all ways tell us to detach from these worldly ways and materialism.
When every path from Bushido to Christianity tells us to forsake this world and everything in it, we need to learn a lesson. I could give you numerous scripts across many faiths, but I don't have to spoon feed you because you're a wizard and you already know all of these tihngs.
We are not of this world, nor should we want to be. We should all aspire to unplug from their matrix and free ourselves from this mortal loosh farm.

Basic ass neophyte here, I feel like the obstacles in my way are more to do with uncertainty in my path…. I have no idea what I should be doing, or if that's even the right question to be asking! I'm just expanding my awareness of my energy body but I feel so unfulfilled with my progress. I realise a common pitfall for me is getting too wrapped in my thoughts and foregoing action, but I'm just so uncertain and afraid of permanently fucking myself over by being overzealous to compensate. Haha, feels good to talk about it, thanks OP :)

It sure does and that's what this board should be about. We're all here to learn.
"Our bodies are given form from the midst of nothingness. Existing where there is nothing is the meaning of the phrase "Form is emptiness." That all things are provided for by nothingness is the meaning of the phrase, "Emptiness is form." One should not think that these are two separate." - Hagakure
Let not your heart be troubled because you don't know all of the answers or you feel lost at times. Realizing that you don't know shit about anything is what makes you a true wizard because it creates a thirst for knowledge of the unknown.
“Its the not the destination, It's the journey.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I have accepted the fact that I don't know shit about anything. This has given me a yearning to learn all that I can. I haven't settled on one specific dogma to rest on my laurels in blissful ignorance. If I feel empty, it means that I have a blank to fill. A missing piece of the puzzle. So, I search for it. I will never learn all there is to know in this mortal lifetime, but I did what I could with the time that I was given here.
Nobody will (or should) ever claim to know everything there is to know or claim to have all the answers. Nobody should ever claim perfection. In doing so, they've closed themselves to any improvements beyond that point. They are pretty much proclaiming themselves to be gods at this point. "We are nothing. There is nothing. Worm food. The end." (tips fedora) There's going to be a great many lost souls who can't cope with any existence outside of the flesh. I'm not saying you must prescribe to a specific flavor of theology, but we will all, regardless of race, sex, religion, reach a same final destination. Our path is what sets us apart from normies and fedora tippers. We have already prepared ourselves for the next realm of existence/reality that we end up in. In the ocean of energy, we're the ones who learned how to swim in hopes that we don't drown in the cosmic aether.
It is said that in the final days, the faith of humanity would fade away.
This is said the same among most religions. They all know that something is coming for all of us.
"And because iniquity abounds, the love of many shall wax cold." - KJV

I'm not dealing with society if possible. I would have to travel to find a sensory deprivation chamber. I usually use a pitch black room and push myself to exhaustion in order to reach the bliss required to let go. But once I learned to turn around and look within I decided to try to do it without using crutches. That hasn't worked out. So a sensory deprivation chamber would probably help.
Once I realized "reality" was a dreamlike illusion that I was projecting outwards I stopped caring about spiritual "progress" because although I realize it exists as something that can be experienced, it is only another illusion, and as such it appears to be better to let go of it as an attachment. Yet I certainly don't feel like I've finished the path. So that's a bit of a knot to let go of.

Most based, I didn't know fringe was still capapble to produce gems like this.
>Yet I certainly don't feel like I've finished the path.
That's because you haven't found yourself yet. It's literally only one step one must take, one single act, one first and final enlightenment. As long as you keep making spiritual progress and develoing yourself you are only chasing shadows, jerking off with illusions in illusion. No matter how magically advanced you are, if you haven't take that one single step it all doesn't matter in the end. I think you are doing well and are on the right path. Basically all you have to do is to wake up, and you wake up by finding your true self. After that, all the spiritual progress and magical advancement will be yours.

In the schools I practice under one gets laughed at if they even try to imply they are done before they can produce physical miracles without effort, which means mastery of both dreams and a sort of lucid dreaming wakefulness.
So on one hand I completely agree with you and on another I've read the secret books and they make it clear while my nature is fundamemtally buddha-nature in this formbody I remain yet a student. It is one thing to look within one or a few times, another to be able to do it at will. So it seems pretty certain there is more of this nothing we call the practice to be done.
As it is I just try to stay in the natural state where thoughts do not arise and let that stillness gradually increase, ala mahamudra or dzogchen. This seems to be a lazy, unmotivated and undetermined way, but it is at least something I practice with a degree of tenacity

Kagyu Tibetan schools. The same books and recordings and teachings that teach how to look within say emphatically that it is like this, so I am inclined to believe them.
There was a "new school" of zen that became widespread several hundred years after zen first was codified, which taught that "there is nothing to do and nothing to accomplish, you are already buddha so stop sitting and stop practicing, there is nothing at all to zen". This school was strongly condemned by the masters of the original schools who said something to the effect of "If there was no point to sitting for 20 years we would not tell students to do it, as that would be exceedingly stupid. Do you really think when the masters of old wrote so fervently and eloquently about enlightenment they were telling lies or playing a prank?"
The Tibetans go on to say that any who think spiritual enlightenment doesn't include mysticism is basically a damned fool, which is about the strongest condemnation they can give.
