Obviously, but there is your problem. Just because you think suicide is the desire to be obliterated completely doesn't mean that everyone else shares the same desire. For most of us suicide can merely mean the shedding of the body and this prison planet. We still want to live, go to the astral planes etc etc. With the right mindset suicide will not obliterate you completely. It is only saying "No, I don' want this shit here anymore, I will now move on." But then again some might desire to be obliterated completely and that's what they will get.

Well, no one desires many a thing they've brought upon themself. Thus the reason why people blame others for their plight, or become ignorant to who their handlers are. Even when it's unintentional, the emotion, belief, and action give birth to things you may not notice. Why do you think most religions forewarn the masses about the danger of suicide? Again, everything is ritual, routine, step by step. Have you ever "failed" a ritual? Usually this means you didn't actually fail the ritual, you just didn't know what you were doing and produced terrifying results.

But for those of us who understand the principles and have attempted suicide (I tried helium many years back, almost fucked my brain up), we also understand where the end-game leads. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

it depends, there are methods like samadhi to willingly leave your body knowing that you have done your part, and also ideas like seppuku where you kill yourself for honour, in these you die as basically a victor to continue on being born in a place that gives your victorious consciousness a space. But if you die a looser per say, defeted by life i.e. depressed or unwilling to confront your demons than your consciousness will continue to drift in that "looser" path wher your struggles are simply going to renew. I have several perspectives on this.

1) No, because you won’t exist. We can’t falsify this perspective, so if this world is a spiritual plane, we should be honest and respectful enough to acknowledge that this world’s creator will not allow us to falsify this perspective. For the record, I’m not a fan, but I’m stuck here.

2) No, because death enforces a god-awful gulp of amnesia. You won’t know in the future that you committed suicide in the past.

3) Yes, probably. From a perspective not encumbered by all your own specific woes, your life probably has good things going for it. You’re just too burdened by your present attachments to understand what of your life could be (or could become) beautiful. So if despite my 1) and 2) comments you ever have another perspective on the matter, yes you will likely regret it, as your new distance lets you see with fairer eyes.

You're ripe for Buddhism. Spend all of your free time in meditation. What should you think about? Nothing. You stop active thinking completely. Yes, the mind still bubbles up thoughts on its own, but that's okay, just let the mind do what it wants, but don't actively feed it with your attention or follow its random meanderings. Just be passive and think about nothing. Relax your body and mind, breathe naturally and let go of this world. If you fall asleep, that's fine. When you wake up, just start your meditation again. Only get up to eat, drink, bathe, shit, brush teeth, etc., then return to your bed and meditate. No need for any stupid meditation postures. Just lie on your back, close your eyes and meditate. Do this until you die.

This is essentially what Buddhist monks do when they are not doing their mundane "duties" at the monastery, going on alms round or ministering to lay people. You don't have to bother with any of that, just do your own thing and meditate, which is exactly what the Buddha did anyway.

There are plenty of YouTube videos to guide you if you want more info. I recommend the monks of the Theravada tradition, but see what works best for you.

There is only one right way to "suicide" and leave this world properly. Just killing yourself doesn't cut it. You have to sit (or lie down) in your preferred meditation posture and meditate forever. Until you leave your body and never come back…basically until you die. This is the ultimate meditation and astral travel. It's the right way…the only way. Get a calm secluded place and try this. It will bring out everything that is inside…it will show if you are ready or not. If you cannot pull it through it means you are not ready, then even regular suicide or death will not help you. It's the ultimate test that will bring to the light how detached from this world and life you really are.
