So look at Esoteric Christianity or Gnostic Christianity. The people who wrote the Bible were initiates themselves. Unless by "magick" you mean masturbating to sigils or some shit.

in the west, society is faulty and the people who have power are essentially to blame for the crises which make folks with good intentions seek out resources that are not from God

if you are a believer as the apostles taught, then you might say it is expected of the people of God to undergo torture and persecution, especially from those in society who have power like police or those who are gifted with wealth not by their own accord (which they usually squander on sin and other sorts of erroneous modes of living which reflects poorly on the whole culture at large)

also, if you follow the teachings of the apostles you might understand that for our sins, specifically those which may hurt others there is retribution in this life and then even yet greater to come more mysterious retributions in the next life

so the wheel turns, and every dog has his day… even outside of Christianity I believe most cultures accept a normalcy of existential justice and if you have faith and do the right thing the doors will be opened as to which paths are most appropriate

Really IDK, in a sense it is kinda magical that Jesus had the power to rise Lazarus from the grave or feed a whole army of people with just a loaf of bread and a single fish.

On the other hand, he was the son of God.

So I don't think it wouldn't be considered magic.

He was being literal. Any man fulfilling his duties would comprehend. He is the father. Of all. As you are the father of all. Reality is fractal (obviously) and he was saying that since we all descend from the father that any who comprehends him (Jesus) would also comprehend the father.

Jesus was a wizard, he just was dealing with a less educated and more reactionary group of people who feared the lord. They feared the lord because their minds were in panic therefore their world was also panic.

"The Lord" refers to the all, not Yahweh.

for the sake of clarity, i say that the bible doesn't agree with that specific perspective (i.e… reading other texts is "against the rules" to God)

i believe in the New Testament, Paulos specifically instructs one of his helpers to bring to him all of his books, implying that Paulos, even during his days of preaching Christianity, would have been one who was well-read, perhaps?

Here is the full scripture regarding this text concerning Paul the Apostle and his books… ([2] Timothy, Ch. 4)

>Doe thy diligence to come shortly onto me:

>10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed onto Thessalonica: Crescens to Galatia, Titus onto Dalmatia.

>11 Onely Luke is with me. Take Marke and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministerie.

>12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

>13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou commest, bring with thee, but especially the parchments.

>14 Alexander the Coppersmith did mee much evill, the Lord reward him according to his works.

>15 Of whom bee thou ware also, for he hath greatly withstood our words.

>16 At my first answere no man stood with mee, but all men forsooke mee: I pray God that it may not bee laid to their charge.

>17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching might be fully knowen, and that all the Gentiles might heare: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the Lyon.

>18 And the Lord shall deliver mee from every evill worke, and will preserve me onto his heavenly kingdome; to whom bee glory for ever, and ever. Amen.

Personal perspective: Considering we are reading this text in a plain historical perspective, such as recalling those events which took place at the time of his writing it, one could say I suppose that the exact definition of "parchments" is not properly conveyed by the context alone (Verse 13)….

Not sure what the traditions, various contemporaries or what Rome or Constantinople have said concerning this specific text.

Regarding the Pope of Rome, I have a great deal of respect for him (personally) as well as the whole institution of the Catholic Church….However, I diverge from their schools of thought and dogmatic laws of canon and whatnot. I also personally diverge from the authority of the Pope, although I consider all Roman Catholics brethren.

Even though I feel they have done much good for the world and the gospel, and are sometimes given an unfair negative judgment by other (more serious) Christians….the Church and the Pope, historically, have always (in my personal opinion) had blood on their hands, what with the killing of other Christians and stuff like that.

It may be that God wishes all books in the world to be burned, but He has not revealed such a thing to me. I have derived many good things and altruistic/Christ-like benefits through all manner of reading.

Perhaps there is much value when, let's say for instance, one who styles themself a Hermetic says to strive towards knowledge rather than power.

sorry about that… i think I am betraying my anti-Catholic bias here… i don't mean to say that Protestants are "more serious" than Catholics…because Catholics may be just as serious about Christianity as Protestants….i suppose it is better to say that they just "believe something differently" than Catholics, which is why they broke away

in the gospel, there are passages by Jesus that you could easily use to justify Protestantism, such as Mark, chapter 9…….

>¶ And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy Name, and he followeth not vs, and we forbade him, because he followeth not us.

>39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not, for there is no man, which shall doe a miracle in my Name, that can lightly speake evill of me.

>40 For he that is not against us, is on our part.

>41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drinke in my Name, because yee belong to Christ: Verily I say onto you, he shall not lose his reward.

>42 And whosoever shall offend one of these litle ones that beleeve in me, it is better for him, that a milstone were hanged about his necke, and he were cast into the Sea.

>43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, then having two hands, to goe into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

>44 Where their worme dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

>45 And if thy foote offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, then having two feete, to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

>46 Where their worme dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

>47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, then having two eyes, to be cast into helfire:

>48 Where their worme dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

>49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

>50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltnesse, wherewith will you season it? Have salt in your selves, and have peace one with another.

For one, if we believe the Bible, do not be afraid of the sins of your youth or sins in the past.

So it says in the Bible, after becoming a believer in Jesus, all your sins then become forgiven.

Also, many Christians preach a certain doctrine, based on scripture, that one who believes in Jesus will not go to hell because of what is written in the Bible. They make a pretty compelling point, IMO. This was one of the things the Reformation was all about.

The way that I look at it is I ask myself, "Since God is giving me free will and leaving me to decide for myself, am I going to assume God is evil and delights in fires torture or am I going to decide that God is a bit more altruistic than that??"

If Jesus really was a magician, why did that specific Magician become like the most powerful figure on Earth complete with a worldwide religion worships him, but his other contemporary magicians of the era came to naught. I've read that around the time of Jesus there were many such "wandering magicians" in Jude's and Israel.

Hermes Trismegistus, Buddha, and Lao Tzu were all pretty successful in that regard. And when you consider that the early church made it a serious obligation to spread their interpretation of Jesus' words and actions as far as possible, while the other three's followers did no such thing, it makes one wonder why Christianity isn't bigger and the other three aren't smaller.

It helps to learn some of the actual history behind the religion. This vid will help with that education.

Pretty much everything we are taught and fed through mainstream channels is pure bullshit meant to keep the hamsters busy while running on the wheel.

That said, the Bible does have its own energy, but appears to be cut and pasted bits of more powerful texts.

Definitely the New Testament is meant for creating a neutered government compliant population. Anything that requires you to sit and listen to someone spoon feed you spiritual knowledge for the rest of your life is a dead end path.

But at the same time there seems to also be an astrological component to the New Testament., and the Tarot is associated with the Book of Revelation. Both are paths worthy of exploration.

For the record I have both read the bible and lived the faith in the New Testament. I still talk to God, though I don't formally "pray" unless its for some magical purpose. Religion tries to make everything complicated and keep everyone as stupid as possible. Some of us were never meant to stay in the herd.

If Jesus really was, like Kybalion presents, a wizard who instead of ascending to another plane decided to go back into lower dimension to help people, why did he not teach other of his magic then? Why form his own religion?

9“Be broken, O peoples, and be shattered;

And give ear, all remote places of the earth.

Gird yourselves, yet be shattered;

Gird yourselves, yet be shattered.

10“Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted;

State a proposal, but it will not stand,

For God is with us.”

11For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

12“You are not to say, ‘It is a conspiracy!’

In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy,

And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.

13“It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy.

And He shall be your fear,

And He shall be your dread.

14“Then He shall become a sanctuary;

But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over,

And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

15“Many will stumble over them,

Then they will fall and be broken;

They will even be snared and caught.”

16Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

17And I will wait for the LORD who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will even look eagerly for Him.

18Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.

19When they say to you, “Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,” should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

20To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

21They will pass through the land hard-pressed and famished, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will be enraged and curse their king and their God as they face upward.

22Then they will look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be driven away into darkness.

study western hermeticism and natural law bruv'ner. People in the middle ages had a philosophy that allowed them to be christian and the best magicians around. D'you think St. Patty duelled all those Druids without working magic?

It was the enlightenment and its attendent materialism that was hostile to magic and justified it with scripture. The only injunctions around magic actually in the bible are 'don't overdose yourself or others with psychedelics' and 'don't consort with evil spirits'. Those are both pretty solid guidelines when practicing magic. If you do them anyway, you'll find out why those are natural laws.

First off: being a Christian will not only unable you to do magic, it will make others in your proximity unable to do magic. Instead of doing stuff yourself you have to convince the ALL to help you. Checked double "42" - Top Kek! God is speaking! Open your Ears!

42 as in the 42 negative confessions given after Anubis guides you into Duat, the Underworld, and Thoth records the weight of your heart against a Feather of Ma'at (order / law) while Ammit, the Great Destroyer, awaits near a lake of fire to eat the heavy hearts of the unworthy and deny them access to Osiris and an afterlife.

The Pharaohs intercede on behalf of their people to ensure them an afterlife, so the masses must believe in their God-King (a King of Kings) with their hearts and confess this with their mouths (see also the "Opening of the Mouth" ceremony). Sound familiar? Yep, that's your Christian God.

Jesus is a pharaoh born of the masses and not the ruling caste, he intercedes on behalf of those who believe in him with their heart and confess it with their mouths, and thereby secures them eternal life.

Moses is the same legend as Egyptian Mises, and both names mean "from water", both rescued from a river as a babe and raised with royalty (same as Sargon of Akkad too). Moses was the one who allegedly transcribed the Torah (old testament) so if he is called into question then the whole religion is! Ah, but there is a way to save it. You simply realize that Christianity is the Cult of Amun-Re (AKA Amen-Ra), which subsumed all other aspects of the gods and became a defacto monotheism in Egypt once upon a time.

Amen is the god of Wind, Invisibility, and Hidden Power, whose name Christians invoke after each prayer, "Amen". Ra is the holy solar disk who remains occulted in the symbolism of the church, they place the sun prominently in many of their symbols. Those aren't halos they are Holy Sun Discs upon the heads of all the holy figures – Just as The Disc of Ra was placed on the heads of gods in the Egyptian Pantheon who were associated with Ra.

Externally (exoterically) Christianity and Gnosticism is about some savior, internally (esoterically) the churches know at the highest levels that their heritage is from their past Egyptian Rule, and Babylon, and Sumer before that (all of which have the holy solar disk; FFS, the Pope is dressed as Dagon - Fisher of Men). Such esoterica is upheld especially in the secret halls o the Catholic church and among some individuals / sects of Presbyterians (the latter study extrabiblical texts and rely on the living God within to interpret which scripture is divinely inspired, they see the scripture as a guide to their heritage and a path to God, not the be-all end-all dictate; Can God not change His mind?!).

If God is truly an everlasting being then why would anyone expect Him NOT to reveal Himself in religions older than Christianity? If God is truly an omnipresent being then why would He not reveal Himself in religions spread far and wide?

Ponder the following:

> Romans 1:20 - For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

This means all peoples have no excuse because God is revealed to everyone through His nature.

> Ecclesiastes 3:11 - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Again, God's beauty is in everything and time. Also, God is an Occultist who has occulted (hidden) from men His works in past, present and/or future.

> Deuteronomy 4:29 - But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

This means any religion which truly seeks God will find Him.

Checkmate, mundane Christians & Gnostics. You've been "pagans" and "occultists" all along and didn't even know it.

P.S. Read Genesis 6, Jasher, Book of 1st Enoch, Jubilees, if it be His will then you'll come understand this realm, especially if you studied many other old legends: They're all variations of the same true story!

The Christ Consciousness is very real, it is very present, each and every one of us has the power to achieve Christ Consciousness, it is only a moment to moment decision to not co-operate with "fear". Understanding that enlightenment is a choice between "fear" and "love" is a great tool to help understand this concept. Another important tool is the Spiritual Armor. The Spiritual Armor is a concept hidden in occult traditions through time. The formulation of the spiritual armor is an initiation right in itself. Its important to remember that there are those entities which want to scare us back into 3rd dimensional existence when we reach the astral world. The armor is there, not only to protect, but to ward off invaders in the astral world, which can only control you by fear which is the most base defense mechanism of your reptilian brain.
