Hello.

Whilst I have already posted here very few times before, I'm still fairly new to this lair. I see there's effort to make this a good, calm place (or at least, that's what I heard), and I can't be happy enough to hear that, as 4chan and its respective boards for discussing Sonic are, as hurting as it may be to admit, beyond of any saving grace and filled with too many hotheads and biased people that cannot hold an ounce of empathy and consideration for others' beliefs and such.

I would like to start visiting and lurking here, but before I do, I just wonder about something, that while very obvious to answer and silly to even ask at first, it's deeply important enough as it assures if this is really a tolerating, better place: is Archie Sonic and its relative content allowed here? Are all Sonic interpretations, with no exception, free to be discussed here? And how frequent are people here to take issue when the comic or other interpretations are mentioned?

I ask, as I would like to talk about Sonic here, but I'm an Archie Sonic fan at the heart. While so, I still love and appreciate all of the Sonic franchise, and despite not enjoying IDW at all, I do not at all condemn theses who do, nor would I at all, as that's just outright ill-intentional, ruining the place's tranquility and breaking the respect and peace of one to another. No, really, I'm an emotional type, and even I don't see why must people get so up in the arms over such trivial things, and why we cannot laid out a smooth debate that ensures everyone is respected and considered.

Once again, I'm sorry for making what may appear to be an obvious question, but I have experienced too much irrational anger and incoherent fighting from 4chan over trying to spark some comprehensible discussion for media like the comic and SatAM (but not limited to, course), and I wish to hear a firm and clear answer, merely to be completely sure and out of doubts.

the unleashed humans were designed by the Japanese art duo GuriHiru

Their designed merged japanese cutesy mascot art with western UPA/Silhouette focused cartoonyness. If you take it at face value, yeah it looks like Ratatouiie, but I feel like you can easily put Eggman next to them in a 2D world and it works 100%

It's already branched out enough to be it's own unique thing, and some of the earlier issues might put you off slightly. It was made a decade ago by a bunch of Warhammer 40K Forum Junkies who quickly became good friends, and decided to do their own unique take on Mobius by combining it with Warhammer a bit.

A fair warning, all characters in this are unique, there's not so much as a Sonic Cameo since they planned for it to be as original as possible.

Sonic eggs is Honestly the best parody I have seen of sonic. The concept follows the events of sonic x and sa2 were shadow appears after his death (without the autistic argument that sega give us). The plot was pretty interesting and the characterization is really good in comparison with other fan mades. The humor writes itself without beign edgy. AND THE ART IS REALLY GOOD, sometimes its like an official comic from archie. Its a lame the comic was droped but is worth your time, nothing else related to sonic made me laugh so much.

I always thought that a history about this franchise should not take itself very serious tho.

Granted, we're all freaks here, but some of us are looking for the tiny ring shards in this pile of crap we call "venting out our creativity".

If you're going to have "passionate romance", at least have it be a driving force to the plot, not an excuse to show off the sex fantasies of a hopeless romantic.

I guess I'm just one of those handful of individuals with "too much imagination" to look for gut-busting unintended cringe in these stories. I like my fanfics to have just enough regal to suck me in, and make me feel like I'm either playing an actual game, reading an actual novel/comic or watching an actual movie/TV show.

Granted, this is all made purely for fun, and nobody gets paid to write these, but I just prefer to dig out the diamonds in the rough. Not everybody shares that opinion, but there's crossover potentials people never did in favour of OC-madness with their favourite characters, and that makes me a little bit mad.

Has it really been over half a year since the last post here? Times flies by when you're standing still.

As many may be able to point out, Sonic Time Corruption wasn't at SAGE this year. Roadblocks got in the way, team members were busy with their own (and more successful) projects etc. so I couldn't get anything done myself. However, now that things are returning to normal, I too am back in development.

Here's a direct comparison shot of all 3 time variants of Tropical Trouble, the archetypal opening stage of every Sonic game. 2 are very similar, yet subtly different, and for a reason.

Regardless, it's obvious that there was stealth retconning going on that made the animal characters just furry humans ala Zootopia with the "Wild vs the excesses of the modern world " toned down more and more until it's an afterthrought.

The point is that my theory would be a better (and cooler) excuse to curb that "backlash" than anything those idiots they call "marketing executives" could ever come up with to try and pointlessly tie it all in together.

It would automatically open the future games up to different interpretations by different people thanks to the multiverse gig (not every game needs to have a consistent continuity since we can just assume that they could take place "in another dimension").

They had a perfect chance to confirm that when classic showed up in Sonic Forces (and seemingly confirmed that Classic Sonic from a separate dimension the whole time, and that they happened differently in this timeline).

By paradox logic, older Sonic should've remembered how all of this happened. Even the 2 Tails's confirmed back in Generations that they traveled through "time and space".

They just don't want to make up their minds to the easy and obvious (even after they confirmed that IDW takes place in another dimension where Forces happened a bit differently).

In short, just use the multiverse theory you dumbasses, you'll save time and a bunch of headaches!
