Recently I asked what was fucked with in FF Type-0's localiztion and the answers I got were that the Moogle pronouns were changed to ze, hir, and hirself, and that the panties were black voided. I'm playing Type-0 HD right now. Moogles are fucked, but you can see all of class Zero's panties by dodge rolling or when one of the girls get's knocked on her ass, with the exception of Seven because spats. So either they were uncensored for the HD release highly unlikely, they weren't censored, or the actual censorship was the locking of vertical rotation in the character viewer and possibly less vertical rotation in the field.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't know how to go about making voice recognition software nor could I afford to purchase the license to use one for my own game.

Now, it should be stated that this only applies to games that allow for the communication, but that's pretty much EVERY game with online multiplayer. As such, we might see indie games try to get around these laws be simply removing the ability to communicate with any other players via the game. The problem is how some lawyers might define "communicating." Is being able to spell out words with bullet holes communicating? How about spraying messages on walls, a la Counter Strike? If either of these constitute communication, then the FCC is probably going to fine EVERY online game, which is just going to make it a tax.

A tax most indie devs will most likely be unable to afford, unlike AAA devs.

Many disabled people found work arounds for the UIs to play the games they love. And both devs and third parties have found ways to make tools to help the disabled play out of good gesture and profit from a niche market.

This law if abused is Marxist theory in action. This is equality of outcome rather than equality of entry. This ends creativity of game design as the disability of the player comes first. Is the player deaf? Then you have to adjust your game to have visual elements they can see in place of sound. Is the player color blind? Then swap the color pallet. Are they blind and deaf? Then you better make your game exclusive to the a console with HD rumble because tactile feedback is the only way blind and deaf players can play the game. You can imagine based on these restrictions needing the same outcome with players beating the game regardless how this limits certain genres from entry. Is the player paralyzed from the neck down? Then VR is out of the question because that needs motion controls for the immersion. Then all they need to do is cough and the game plays itself until the end.

Yes I understand that the law states that these option are optional and not necessary for average people to enjoy the game. Escapism in a game is the reward for learning the rules of the game. The reason of playing the game is to master yourself with your ability to live the game world.

The interesting thing is that when this lawsuit happens it will be the be all and end all to whether or not video game software is a protected speech as an artform or if it will be subjugated to laws as all computer software has to thus ending game's free speech protection.
