Since we're back to life, I wanted to make a thread to discuss the board it's self and for anons to provide any suggestions or requests. I've changed the board color theme to something darker which seems more fitting for ASMR. Let me know your thoughts. Am also looking for a good board subtitle and perhaps some new banners.
As far as rules; this board is meant to be laid back as noted above. Aside from 8chan's global rule the only things to add are:
1. Discussion about all ASMR channels is allowed here.
2. Harassment (threats of actual harm, trying to maliciously/falsely shut down social accounts, contact for the sake of bullying, irl stalking, dox of private personal information) is not allowed.
3. No spam.
Besides that /tingles/ is a free place. I'd like it to be less cancerous than the alternative, but post as you please. You will be judged by fellow anons.

The only problem with /asmr/ was the BO censoring and crusading against shit he didn't like, which did eventually spiral out of control, but there was nothing wrong with the hate being spewed there. The board could actually be really encouraging and helpful to smaller channels or for people looking to start one. Plus, I don't see this board as being a place that will fight against the bullshit DMCA takedowns. At this point, it's maybe a single rung better than reddit here.
And some people say that the chans are no better than reddit; well those people are redditors. Every unpopular opinion over there gets suppressed and banned while karma whores reign supreme. And it only gets worse every day as the entire site cracks down even harder. Now others will say that the chans are dead, and that's not quite true either. Some are dying. This one got hit hard with the takedown attempts, but there's still millions of unique users visiting halfchan every single day. Board culture as it existed back in 2008 may be a thing of the past, but there will always be an appeal for the anonymity and freedom of expression. As internet culture gets increasingly tumultuous, sites that will provide that become a necessity.
Simply put, /tingles/ isn't going to gain traction over time, only lose it. Being marginally better than a subreddit isn't good enough for the people seeking to escape all those simps, and I guarantee you most them will simply give up ASMR discussion instead of migrating.
