Hawaiian Word of the Day
Like any cool kahuna, I end my day with a nice Hawaiian beer with my dinner. I also have a knack for collecting bottle caps, which is great because every beer bottled by Kona Brewing comes with a Hawaiian word printed on the bottom so you can learn a bit every time you drink. What are your experiences with going to tiki bars? I know that many of them have closed over the years as their popularity declined.
I recently went to one in my town called Sand Bar
They have the typical goofy shit on the walls.If you give them $10 they turn on a car wash air dryer they call the hurricane. It blows everything around in the bar.
Drinks were ok I guess.

I served in the navy at Pearl Harbor for a while. I'm from Connecticut so the weather and atmosphere of Hawaii was incredible to me.I also began to have an appreciate the music of Hawaii during my time there. You might even say that the dissatisfied someone is with their lives, the harder they probably worked in order to have other people look up to them. The celebrity phenomenon in our civilization stems from idolatry, the pretense that something or someone can be perfect, outside of the laws of nature that you are subjected to, you imperfect being, you.
Some people basically lie about perfection being real, because of their own wishful thinking and pursuit of perfection and transcendence. You realize this but you wonder if lying would actually make you happier, because you'd be coasting on other people's dreams instead of stomping your own into the ground.
Your brain probably ages slower than your body, being grown up only means being confident. Why do you respect confidence, though, when you know that its just a social game of pretend?
Happiness and life are two separate things. Society creates happiness, whereas life creates society through our own sentiments of imperfection.
In my mind, letting go of perfection is a happier life.

SPAM
Anyone here actually like SPAM? My grandma used to make SPAM fried rice for lunch, and spam on eggs every morning. It's been a part of my daily diet since childhood, so I was shocked when I moved to the states and people scoffed at me for eating spam. Why do people associate spam with dog food and pig assholes? It's just pork shoulder, the same stuff they make grocery ham out of…I don't get the hate.

So, I'm basically doing a traditional roleplaying game that essentially puts the players in the shoes of a Scooby-Doo like mystery solving gang, and I'm brainstorming ideas. I want to do a Hawaiian/tiki themed scenario, but I'd like to do something that hasn't really been done before. Was thinking of using an expy of that abandoned tiki park as the setting (so it might be more of a "modern" thing unless I put in a genuine cursed tiki that summons Night Marchers or something).
Were there any tiki-related urban legends or seedy rumors? I'm trying to think of something that hasn't been done before.
