MOSCOW, May 21. /TASS/. US C-17 military transport aircraft with first shipment of 50 American ventilators has landed in Moscow’s Vnukovo-3 airport, TASS reports.

Overall, the US is aiming to donate 200 ventilators. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier pointed out that the US is delivering the equipment free of charge, just like Russia previously did with ventilators for Americans. Moreover, Russia in April sent a shipment of medical materials to help Washington to fight the coronavirus spread.

The landing ceremony was attended by US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan and first deputy director general of the Pirogov National Medical and Surgical Center Dmitry Nikitenko, as the center will receive these ventilators, spokeswoman for the Russian foreign ministry Maria Zakharova told a briefing.

Earlier, Trump told journalists that ventilators would be sent to Russia if need be. According to the US leader, he made the suggestion during a phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on May 7.

Chechen Leader Kadyrov Hospitalized With Coronavirus in Moscow: Reports – The Moscow Times

Doctors reportedly recommended that Kadyrov go to Moscow after his “condition began deteriorating rapidly.”

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has been hospitalized in Moscow with a suspected coronavirus infection, Interfax reported Thursday.

Kadyrov, 43, was reportedly flown to the Russian capital Wednesday, a few days after reporting flu-like symptoms, the Baza Telegram channel reported earlier Thursday. Chechen doctors recommended that Kadyrov seek treatment there after his “condition began deteriorating rapidly,” Baza said.

The Telegram channel cited medical data as saying that Kadyrov has been diagnosed with lung damage and a suspected Covid-19 infection.

“He is under doctors’ supervision,” Interfax cited its source as saying.

A well-known transport tracker said Thursday that a private jet linked to Kadyrov arrived at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport from the Chechen capital of Grozny.

Kadyrov’s official page on Russian social network Vkontakte has posted several updates in the past 24 hours, including posts on his charitable donations and birthday greetings for Russia’s defense minister, but has not yet addressed his alleged infection.

Kadyrov was last active on his Telegram account on Tuesday, while Instagram blocked his page last week.

About half of the Twitter accounts pushing misinformation about COVID-19 and calling for "reopening America" may be bots, researchers at Carnegie Mellon University said Wednesday. The tweets appear to be aiming to sow division and increase polarization during the pandemic.

Party of Science Still Sticking COVID-19 Victims in Nursing Homes, Because Science

Democrats like to portray themselves as The Party of Science, so why are they still sticking COVID-19 victims in nursing homes in Democrat-run Minnesota?

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported on Wednesday that “Minnesota nursing homes are still being allowed by state regulators to admit coronavirus patients who have been discharged from hospitals.”

This, despite the fact that nursing homes represent a whopping four out of five COVID-19 related death in the Democrat-run North Star State. The official figure is 81%.

Has the Party of Science learned nothing?

At the very best, they’re learning very slowly. The Star-Tribune reports that the “practice is drawing strong opposition from some lawmakers” who are “calling for more state scrutiny over transfers.”

So if I’m reading this correctly, there are a few Minnesota lawmakers who want state regulators who are already putting the infected in with the vulnerable, to finally take a closer look at that, approximately 629 dead nursing home residents later.

You have to read down to the fifth paragraph to learn that the one lawmaker reporter Chris Serres quoted actually calling for something to change is Sen. Karin Housley, a Republican.

In New York, where card-carrying Party of Science member Andrew Cuomo runs the show, the situation is even worse — including a coverup. As late as April 23, Cuomo still insisted that nursing homes “don’t have a right to object” to his executive order forcing them to take in COVID-19 patients.

“That is the rule,” he said, “and that is the regulation and they have to comply with that.”

Two weeks later Cuomo finally backed down, and last week the Daily Caller revealed that New York admitted to “knowingly undercounting nursing home deaths after quietly changing reporting rules” for COVID-19.

The Party of Science’s nursing home death toll in New York is now well over 5,000, at least according to the latest reporting rules. Who knows what rule changes might come in the future.

This same Party of Science has corrupted actual scientists’ ability to gather data about COVID-19-related deaths in nursing homes or anywhere else.

Townhall’s Derek Hunter reported on Sunday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — no bastion of conservative thought in recent years — issued a guideline explicitly encouraging the medical community to inflate the number of deaths attributed to the Wuhan virus.

Hunter noted a CDC directive entitled, “New ICD code introduced for COVID-19 deaths,” that concluded with how to count deaths.

It suggests that doctors should report COVID-19 as the cause of death “for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death.”

I didn’t add the boldface for emphasis, and neither did Hunter — the CDC did that.

The Global War on Terror or GWOT was declared in the wake of 9/11 by President George W. Bush. That is generally how Donald Trump and hardline Republicans see the world, that sovereignty exercised by foreign governments is and should be limited by the reach of the U.S. military. Surrounding a competitor with military bases and warships is a concept that many in Washington are currently trying to sell regarding a suitable response to the Chinese economic and political challenge.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo puts it another way, that the U.S. is a “force for good,” but it was former Secretary Madeleine Albright who expressed the fantasy best, stating that “…if we have to use force, it is because we are America; we are the indispensable nation. We stand tall and we see further than other countries into the future, and we see the danger here to all of us.” She also said that the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children through U.S. imposed sanctions was “…a very hard choice, but the price — we think the price is worth it.” That is the basic credo of the liberal interventionists. Either way, the U.S. gets to make the decisions over life and death, which, since the GWOT began, have destroyed or otherwise compromised the lives of millions of people, mostly concentrated in Asia.

One aspect of the American heavy footprint that is little noted is the ruin of many formerly functioning countries that it brings with it. Iraq and Libya might have been dictatorships before the U.S. intervened, but they gave their people a higher standard of living and more security than has been the case ever since. Libya, destroyed by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, had the highest standard of living in Africa. Andrew Weissmann Reportedly Hosting Virtual Biden Campaign Fundraiser

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Former lead prosecutor Andrew Weissmann is reportedly hosting a virtual fundraiser for Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign. The event is set for June 2nd and will feature the former attorney general of New Jersey Anne Milgram.

Weissmann has long been criticized for his immoral actions and is known for his anti-Trump sentiment.

In 1997, Weissmann was “reprimanded by a judge in the Eastern District of New York for withholding evidence,” according to Sara A. Carter’s reporting. In 2016, he was also reported to the Department of Justice Inspector General and Senate Judiciary Committee for alleged “corrupt legal practices,” according to documents and the attorney involved in a whistleblower case reviewed by Carter.

He was described as Mueller’s “Pitbull” for his legal strategy.

During his time in the Special Counsel’s office, Weissmann mainly oversaw the case against Paul Manafort, who was recently released from prison amid the novel coronavirus pandemic to serve the remainder of his sentence from home.

Weissmann later left his role at the Special Counsel’s office in 2019.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham Military Commander Assassinated In Idlib City

On May 21, a commander of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) was assassinated in Idlib’s city center in northwest Syria.

According to HTS sources, the commander, known as Abu al-Harith al-Hamui, was killed when an improvised explosive device (IED) ripped through his SUV in the northern part of Idlib city. The incident took place in the morning.
