Carmaker Shares Surge After Trump Mysteriously Tweets China Will Reverse Auto Tariffs
Long-suffering European auto stocks ripped higher on Monday as they headed for their best session in years following a late night tweet from President Trump claiming that China had agreed to lower its punishing 40% tariff on US-made cars. Ironically, shares of German companies like Daimler and BMW outperformed US auto stocks because many of the cars they export to China are manufactured in the US.

Bolstering the president's claim, a top Chinese trade official declined to comment on the Trump tweet during a morning press conference, which only helped push shares higher. Trump tweeted after China and the US agreed to a "temporary" 90-day trade truce where China agreed to buy more US agricultural products to try and help narrow its trade surplus with the US while Trump agreed to suspend a planned increase and expansion for US tariffs.
Beijing raised tariffs on U.S. auto imports to 40 percent in July, forcing many carmakers to hike prices in a major hit to the roughly $10 billion worth of passenger vehicles the United States sent to China last year. Last week, China called for a "negotiated solution" to the trade standoff, saying its tariffs on US-made cars would be only 15% if not for the trade spat (Chinese policy makers earlier this year had agreed to lower tariffs on US cars before the trade war erupted in the spring).
As Bloomberg pointed out, a reduction in Chinese tariffs would benefit Daimler and BMW more than US carmakers like General Motors Co. and Ford Motor Co., as the German luxury brands dominate the top 10 list of car imports to China.
Meanwhile, Chinese carmaker shares pared their gains, while shares of Chinese car dealerships climbed, as the threat of increased competition weighed on carmakers' shares.

Mayotte Seismic Wave event 11/11/18
I have been thinking about the wave of this 11/11 seismic event. The wave has two distinct wave forms. The inner darker wave form appears to be rectangles rotated in a spiral. This seems to return to the Fourier Series perhaps applied in a 3-D Fibonacci Spiral.
What is it - not a normal natural wave?

UKanon Brexit update.
Background:
On March 29th 2019 UK leaves the EU.
The UK government led by PM May's conservative party does not have a parliamentary majority and has a supply and confidence agreement with 10 MPs from the DUP party that represent interests in Northern Ireland.
MPs from the house of Commons were promised a "meaningful" vote on or around December 12th (a Wednesday). This is Wednesday a week from now.
May has been whoring herself to every breakfast show she can to sell her Brexit agreement, which was essentially written by Brussels and does not deliver anything like the Brexit that people voted for.
Currently it won't go through the vote on the 12th. If by some miracle back room deals are done, the country will explode and May will be gone. If it doesn't go through, May will be gone. May is going.
The trigger could come sooner.
The full legal advice on this deal apparently shows we'll be in the EU until they decide we are not.
May is fighting tooth and nail to keep this full advice from going public.
There is a consitutional crisis erupting.
This is going sideways for the UK government very quickly.
My view? May is being blackmailed or coerced into her current path because none of it adds up. She cannot just resign. She must be being threatened (probably about the DECLAS stuff or her husband, an arms dealer that makes a profit every time we bomb anything).

Abstract
Vascular parkinsonism (VP) accounts for 2.5-5% of all cases of parkinsonism in various population based and clinical cohort studies. VP develops as a result of ischaemic cerebrovascular disease, so aetiologically it is classified as secondary parkinsonism. It has been variably referred to in the literature as arteriosclerotic parkinsonism, vascular pseudo-parkinsonism, and lower body parkinsonism. The most important consideration while making a diagnosis of VP should be to differentiate VP from Parkinson's disease (PD) because of prognostic and therapeutic implications. The salient clinical features in VP which differentiate it from PD are presentation with postural instability and falls rather than with upper limb rest tremor or bradykinesia; short shuffling parkinsonian gait in VP is accompanied by a wider base of stance and variable stride length (parkinsonian-ataxic gait), absence of festination, frequent occurrence of pyramidal signs, and early subcortical dementia. In a patient where the clinical features are suggestive of VP the clinical diagnosis can be supported by demonstration of
“diffuse white matter lesions”
and/or strategic subcortical infarcts in the MRI of the brain. The therapeutic options in VP are limited to levodopa, and a poor or non-sustained response to levodopa is another differentiating feature between VP and PD.

This year included California’s deadliest and most destructive wildfire — a blaze in November that took out nearly 14,000 homes in a rural Northern California county and killed at least 88 people. Another fire that started the same day in Southern California killed three people and destroyed 1,500 structures, including the homes of celebrities in tony Malibu.
Those two fires produced emissions equivalent to roughly 5.5 million tons of carbon dioxide, Zinke said.
The 2018 emissions figure for California wildfires is “strikingly high, significant in the context of overall statewide emissions, and likely a record value for single-year direct carbon emissions from wildfires in California history,” said Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles.
“It is an alarming number, but we live in a fire-prone state,” said Dick Cameron, director of science for land programs at the California chapter of the Nature Conservancy.
Zinke used the carbon figure he released Friday to continue to push for the thinning of forests. Cameron said that would help but that climate and home construction were also significant factors in the destructiveness of the fires.
Cameron cautioned that wildfire emissions were still a relatively small component of climate-changing greenhouse gases. In California, cars and other transportation account for more than 40 percent of total emissions.

The debate over Prescott Bush's behaviour has been bubbling under the surface for some time. There has been a steady internet chatter about the "Bush/Nazi" connection, much of it inaccurate and unfair. But the new documents, many of which were only declassified last year, show that even after America had entered the war and when there was already significant information about the Nazis' plans and policies, he worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German businesses that financed Hitler's rise to power. It has also been suggested that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family fortune and set up its political dynasty.
Remarkably, little of Bush's dealings with Germany has received public scrutiny, partly because of the secret status of the documentation involving him. But now the multibillion dollar legal action for damages by two Holocaust survivors against the Bush family, and the imminent publication of three books on the subject are threatening to make Prescott Bush's business history an uncomfortable issue for his grandson, George W, as he seeks re-election.
While there is no suggestion that Prescott Bush was sympathetic to the Nazi cause, the documents reveal that the firm he worked for, Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), acted as a US base for the German industrialist, Fritz Thyssen, who helped finance Hitler in the 1930s before falling out with him at the end of the decade. The Guardian has seen evidence that shows Bush was the director of the New York-based Union Banking Corporation (UBC) that represented Thyssen's US interests and he continued to work for the bank after America entered the war.
