The New York Times is apoplectic – again.

But this time, it’s because of something so scary to the left, so unimaginably horrific, so brutally honest, so politically incorrect – an act of courage so profound by President Trump – that it could possibly save the country from ruin.

Either that, or we might want to consider the possibility of two separate countries dividing things up and going our own ways as, well … not quite friends.

The New York Times headline says it all – and the news and political earthquake it is setting off is likely to have plenty of seismic aftershocks on the Richter scale:

“‘Transgender’ Could Be Defined Out of Existence Under Trump Administration”

America, not to mention other mostly Western countries as well, has been slipping into the moral and rational cesspool for too long. Much of it transpired in the eight-year reign of Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama.

It was during Obama’s time in office that he himself went from publicly opposing “gay marriage” to publicly shaming opposition to it – in fact, to leading the U.S. Supreme Court into embracing it, despite outspoken opposition to same-sex marriage not that long ago from Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and other Democrat leaders.

It was during that time that Obama became a zealot for “trans-mania.”

He virtually made it illegal for women to compete only against women in sports, violating millennia of tradition and basic common sense.

Does anyone even realize the way “feminism” and “trans-mania” are now increasingly in mortal conflict? Do we even realize how oppressive this is for women athletes?

Here’s how the Times leads it’s just-published story:

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is considering narrowly defining gender as a biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth, the most drastic move yet in a governmentwide effort to roll back recognition and protections of transgender people under federal civil rights law.

A series of decisions by the Obama administration loosened the legal concept of gender in federal programs, including in education and health care, recognizing gender largely as an individual’s choice and not determined by the sex assigned at birth. The policy prompted fights over bathrooms, dormitories, single-sex programs and other arenas where gender was once seen as a simple concept. Conservatives, especially evangelical Christians, were incensed.

Now the Department of Health and Human Services is spearheading an effort to establish a legal definition of sex under Title IX, the federal civil rights law that bans gender discrimination in education programs that receive government financial assistance, according to a memo obtained by The New York Times.

The department argued in its memo that key government agencies needed to adopt an explicit and uniform definition of gender as determined “on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.” The agency’s proposed definition would define sex as either male or female, unchangeable, and determined by the genitals that a person is born with, according to a draft reviewed by The Times. Any dispute about one’s sex would have to be clarified using genetic testing.

To the Left and the New York Times, an ever-expanding number of “genders” is “progress.” It is “liberation.” There’s always a new bridgehead to be found. Once the Left stops inventing “human rights,” new threats to humanity, new ways to defy God, new ways to imprison ourselves in our sin, it’s done, it’s toast – and there are no more drag queens in libraries and public pre-schools to conjure.

Democratic Governor Candidate Blacklisted By Veterans Affairs After Evidence He Sold His Disabled-Vet Status

South Carolina gubernatorial candidate James Smith owned and ran a business that was blacklisted after a surprise inspection by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Democrat’s business, the Congaree Group, was banned from receiving VA contracts reserved for disabled veterans after facing allegations that it served as a middleman to pass contracts to non-veteran companies.

The VA previously banned the Congaree Group, but it was reinstated after Smith appealed.

A company owned and run by South Carolina’s Democratic candidate for governor was blacklisted as a contractor for the Department of Veterans Affairs following allegations that he was selling his veteran status to corporations so they could tap into federal contracting dollars intended to help disabled vets.

James Smith works as a state legislator and lawyer, and also runs the Congaree Group, which has received millions of dollars in federal government contracts. The company operates out of Smith’s law firm suite, and he once told the VA he was its only employee.

On paper, the company has done everything from manufacturing pharmaceuticals to mopping floors and from parking cars to conducting advanced mathematical analysis.

On May 17, VA officials arrived for a surprise inspection, VA deputy assistant Secretary James Hutton told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The purpose was to find out if Smith was running a middleman company used to win lucrative federal contracts earmarked for disabled veterans, then passing all the work off to non-veteran companies in exchange for a cut for himself. Such so-called rent-a-vet scams are forbidden.

Smith’s company declined to cooperate with the VA and failed to provide evidence that the business was legitimate, Hutton said. On May 31, the VA’s Center for Verification and Evaluation issued a “Notice of Proposed Cancellation,” which would lead to the Congaree Group being stripped of its preferred, disabled-veteran contractor status if not resolved, according to Hutton. The Congaree Group still “did not provide the requested documents” explaining itself, he said.

On July 11, one month after Smith won the primary election, the VA banned the company from its preferential status, according to Hutton. The Congaree Group no longer appears on the VA’s list of approved veteran-owned businesses.

"Largest Ever Ponzi Scheme In Maryland" Rocks Investors, $345 Million Vanishes

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced last month the indictment and arrests of three people, including a Baltimore man, involved in the largest-ever Ponzi scheme in Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.

More than 230 people have been taken for a financial rollercoaster as three men ((Kevin B. Merrill ("Merrill"), Jay B. Ledford ("Ledford"), and Cameron Jezierski ("Jezierski") raised $345 million, more than $90 million was invested by over 200 individual investors (including small business owners, restauranteurs, construction contractors, retirees, doctors, lawyers, accountants, bankers, talent agents, current and former professional athletes, and financial advisors); approximately $52 million by family officers; and nearly $203 million from feeder funds, said the SEC.

According to an indictment from Federal prosecutors in Baltimore, Merrill and Ledford touted their experience in collecting on and reselling consumer debt to investors, with the promise of significant profits. The pair operated a web of companies they owned and/or controlled, including Defendants Global Credit Recovery, LLC; Delmarva Capital, LLC; Rhino Capital Holdings, LLC; Rhino Capital Group, LLC; DeVille Assets Managment LTD; and Riverwalk Financial Corporation, which they then sold securities to investors.

Merrill and Ledford used the corporate entities and 55 bank accounts to shift investor money, deceive investors, and continue their Ponzi scheme that only survived with the influx of greater and greater investor cash inflow.

Documents show the men used a web lies, forgeries, and fake documents to conduct the fraud since 2013, using investor money for exotic cars, high-end real estate, private jets, private clubs, casinos, and funding their lavish lifestyles.

"We allege defendants engaged in a brazen fraud, deceiving investors to perpetuate their wrongdoing and line their pockets with ill-gotten gains," said Kelly Gibson, the associate regional director of the SEC's Philadelphia office.

The SEC stated approximately $200 million of the money was used to pay prior investors and deceive current investors that their money was generating high returns.

Merrill owned five mansions, 25 exotic cars – including Bugattis, Ferraris, and Rolls Royces – private jets, powerboats, and more, according to filings.
