Papadopoulos Willing to Testify About His “Suspicious Encounters”
Former Trump campaign volunteer, George Papadopoulos said he would like to testify in front of the Senate about his “suspicious encounters” with certain individuals he met throughout the 2016 election.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Papadopoulos wrote that he would testify about his interactions with Australian diplomat, Alexander Downer, FBI informant, Stefan Halper, “Putin’s niece,” Maltese academic, Joseph Misfud, as well as other U.S. officials who reached out to him. In a second tweet, the former campaign advisor claimed that US intelligence officials, Gregory Baker and Terrence Dudley “both wanted to ingratiate themselves” into the Trump campaign through Papadopoulos.
Papadopoulos was sentenced last week to 14 days in federal prison for lying to the FBI, after becoming a central figure in the Mueller probe. He was also given 12 months probation, 200 hours of community service, and was ordered to pay a $9,500 fine.
Papadopolous’ attorney, Thomas Breen, confirmed his client’s tweet, saying, “we’ll make him available upon a proper request.”

Israeli Military Prepares To Demolish Palestinian Village Khan al-Ahmar In West Bank – Reports
The Israeli military has reportedly sent reinforcements to Khan al-Ahmar as it prepares to demolish the Palestinian Bedouin village in the West Bank, according to a report from September 13th by the Palestinian Information Center.
The village is located east of Jerusalem. Israeli forces have reportedly completely besieged the village and have deployed bulldozers.
On September 5th, Israel’s Supreme Court rejected appeals against the demolition of Khan al-Ahmar and said a temporary injunction that had put the move on hold would expire within seven days, which expired on September 12th.
Tel Aviv says the village is built illegally, but Palestinians say the demolition is part of Israel’s “forcible displacement policy” to make room for its settlement construction activities on occupied land, as reported by PressTV.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) condemned the Israeli court’s “illegal” decision, saying it was meant to isolate Jerusalem. It also stressed that the demolition plan is part of the regime’s attempts “to try to legalize the crimes of the Israeli occupation and its policies which are based on the forcible settlement and ethnic cleansing of Palestinian residents of their land and property.”
The United Nations urged Israel not to demolish the village, home to 180 Palestinians, adding that the planned move violates international law. On September 10th, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Britain called on Israel not to raze the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar after Israel’s Supreme Court decision. In a statement, the five European Union powers said, “We therefore join (EU) High Representative/Vice-President (Federica) Mogherini in reiterating our call to the Israeli government not to go ahead with its plan to demolish the village – including its school – and displace its residents.”
“The consequences a demolition and displacement would have on the residents of this community, including their children, as well as on the prospects of the two-state solution would be very serious,” they added.
On September 11th, Aawsat cited Palestine Liberation Organization Secretary-General Saeb Erekat who stressed that Israel should be held accountable for its plan to demolish the village. The outlet also reported that Palestinians have filed a war crimes claim at the the Hague-based International Criminal Court (ICC) over Israel’s plan to raze the West Bank Bedouin village.
The dossier submitted “included a focus on the war crimes facing Khan al-Ahmar, specifically the crimes of forcible displacement, ethnic cleansing and the destruction of civilian property,” Erekat said.
However, US National Security Adviser John Bolton attacked the ICC, threatening to sanction judges and other officials should the court conduct any probe into Israel or other US allies.
The PA further called on Palestinians to come to the streets of Khan al-Ahmar to protest any attempt to demolish the village. On the morning of September 11th, Palestinian activists came to protest Israel’s plan to demolish the village and relocate its 180 residents to a site 12 km away.
On September 13th, the Palestinian activist encampment was demolished by Israeli forces, as reported by the National. bout 200 soldiers converged on the encampment near Khan Al Ahmar before dawn, dismantled the shacks and carried them away in lorries, protest leader Abdullah Abu Rahmeh told Associated Press.
According to Aawsat the new site is next to a landfill, citing rights advocates who say a forcible transfer of the residents would violate international law applying to occupied territory.
According to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, “settlements in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law and a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-state solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.”
Despite the resolution, The EU representative office said in July 2018 that settlement expansion had continued at a faster rate in the first six months of this year than between July and December 2017. This is most likely a result of the increased support Israel is receiving from US President Donald Trump, who angered Palestinians and caused global concern after recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital despite its internationally disputed status and cutting off U.S. aid to the United Nations agency that cares for Palestinian refugees.
Also on September 13th, Israel reopened the only exit point for residents of Gaza, more than a week after closing it as a result of a large Palestinian protest.

We live in a culture cartooned in memes. Symbolic imagery that once held power in the minds of the masses can now be folded over and onto itself ad infinitum, becoming overused, watered-down and sometimes comedic versions of the original form.
Take for example the 2017 Belluminati ad campaign from Taco Bell, where a television commercial parodies the Illuminati symbolism so ubiquitous in our government and culture. The Denver International Airport (DIA) is well-known for the dark, symbolic artwork found all over the premises including a massive demon horse statue (popularly known as Blucifer), gargoyles, and most notably, the murals of Mexican artist Leo Tanguma.
The imagery in all of this is undeniably sinister and dark, promoting themes of genocide, ecocide and mass murder, and while artist Tanguma has publicly explained that his intentions behind these murals has been misunderstood, the entire body of art and circumstances surround DIA is quite disturbing, similar to the Georgia Guidestones which outline a plan to reduce the world’s population by ninety percent.

With China’s first indigenously designed aircraft carrier, the as-yet-unnamed Type 001A, set to join the country’s first carrier, the Liaoning, in active service in the coming months, the People’s Liberation Army-Navy is confronting an interesting problem: it doesn’t have enough fighter jets to fill both ships.
The Liaoning can carry 40 aircraft, but operating with a short take-off and arrested recovery system instead of a catapult means that a good portion of its air forces are rotary-wing aircraft — helicopters. It only carries 26 of the PLA-N's carrier-based Shenyang J-15 fighters. When the Type 001A, now in its second stage of sea trials, begins active patrols in the coming months, it won't have enough J-15s to form a complete squadron: according to the PLA Daily, the service only has 40 of the jets.
Love for the fourth-generation J-15 jet is seldom shown in Chinese circles. The Asia Times noted that Chinese media has disparaged the plane in numerous ways, including referring to it as a "flopping fish" for its inability to operate effectively from the Chinese carriers, which launch fixed-wing aircraft under their own power from an inclined ramp on the bow of the ship.
The J-15's engines and heavy weight severely limit its ability to operate effectively: at 17.5 tons empty weight, it tops the scales for carrier-based fighters. The US Navy's F-18 workhorse, by comparison, is only 14.5 tons.
Down the line, the PLA-N will likely install a catapult launching system on a future carrier — leaked photos suggest that such a design is already in the works. The US Navy's carriers have used catapults for decades, along with the French Navy's carrier, the Charles de Gaulle. Catapults launch the plane forward quickly, with its engines already at full blast, enabling it to obtain a greater takeoff speed and thus carry more armaments and fuel.

Report: 3,677 sex abuse cases in German Catholic Church
A report on sexual abuse inside the Catholic Church in Germany says 3,677 people were abused by clergy between 1946 and 2014, two leading German media outlets said Wednesday. Spiegel Online and Die Zeit said the report they obtained — commissioned by the German Bishops Conference and researched by three universities — concludes that more than half of the victims were 13 or younger and most were boys. Every sixth case involved rape and at least 1,670 clergy were involved, both weeklies reported. Die Zeit wrote that 969 abuse victims were altar boys.
The report also says that the actual number of victims was likely much higher, according to the research by experts from the Universities of Giessen, Heidelberg and Mannheim. The German Bishops Conference said in a written response a few hours later that it regretted the leaking of the report, but that the study confirms “the extent of the sexual abuse” that took place. “It is depressing and shameful for us,” Bishop Stephan Ackermann said. He didn’t further elaborate on the findings of the report, but said the Catholic group would present the study as initially planned on Sept. 25 together with the authors.
Die Zeit wrote that researchers weren’t allowed to look at the original church files but had to provide questionnaires to the dioceses, which then provided the information. In their conclusions, the researchers write that there was evidence that some files were manipulated or destroyed, many cases were not brought to justice, and that sometimes abuse suspects — primarily priests — were simply moved to other dioceses without the congregations being informed about their past.
The Catholic Church has been struggling with sex abuse by its clergy for a long time. In 2010, the German church was roiled by a sex abuse scandal triggered by the head of a Jesuit school in Berlin who went public about decades-long sexual abuse of high school students by clergy. Following that, a whole wave of victims who were sexually abused by clergy spoke out across the country. An investigation in the United States last month found rampant sexual abuse of more than 1,000 children by about 300 Catholic priests in Pennsylvania. Earlier this week, the Vatican said it is preparing the “necessary clarifications” about accusations that top Vatican officials including Pope Francis covered up the sexual misconduct of a now-disgraced American ex-cardinal. Also on Wednesday, the Vatican said it’s summoning the presidents of every bishops conference around the world for a February summit to discuss preventing clergy sex abuse and protecting children.

NEW YORK – Officers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 16 sexual predators during a 2-day period, ending Sep. 11 in New York City, the Hudson Valley and on Long Island, in an enforcement effort dubbed “Operation SOAR” (Sex Offender Alien Removal).
In the course of Operation SOAR, ERO deportation officers apprehended 16 individuals with criminal histories related to sexual offenses. Of those arrested, 5 were previously released from local law enforcement on an active detainer. ICE places detainers on individuals who have been arrested on local criminal charges and who are suspected of being deportable, so that ICE can take custody of that person when he or she is released from local custody. When law enforcement agencies fail to honor immigration detainers and release serious criminal offenders onto the streets, it undermines ICE’s ability to protect public safety and carry out its mission.
In years past, most of these individuals would have been turned over to ICE by local authorities upon their release from jail based on ICE detainers. Now that many sanctuary cities, including New York City, do not honor ICE detainers, these individuals, who often have significant criminal histories, are released onto the street, presenting a potential public safety threat.
“Many of those arrested in this operation had been found guilty of inappropriate sexual behavior against a minor,” said Thomas R. Decker, field office director for ERO New York. “Our communities are safer, our children are safer, from the efforts of the men and women of ICE. We have removed them from our city’s streets and we will seek to remove them from the United States.”
Arrests include:
In the Bronx, a 53 year-old, Mexican national, released from NYPD custody with an active detainer, who has convictions for criminal possession of a loaded firearm; criminal possession of a weapon: defaced for concealment; and sexual misconduct: male has intercourse with a female without her consent;
In Manhattan, a 42 year-old previously removed Salvadoran national, who has a conviction for sexual abuse of a child less than 11 years of age;
In Maspeth, a 39 year-old Dominican national, who has a conviction for sexual abuse, and is a registered sexual offender;
In Wyandanch, a 32 year-old Guatemalan national, who has a conviction for course of sexual conduct against a child less than 13 years of age;
In Huntington Station, a 40 year-old previously removed Salvadoran national, who has a conviction for rape, and who has failed to register as a sexual offender;
In Deer Park, a 54 year-old Italian national, who has a conviction for possession of sexual performance by child less than 16 years of age;
In the Bronx, a 42 year-old Ghanaian national, who has a conviction for sexual contact with an individual greater than 17 incapable of giving consent;
Criminal histories of those arrested during the operation are as follows: Acting in Manner Injure Child, Assault, Attempted Assault, Attempted Rape 1st: Forcible Compulsion, Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child Criminal Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Disorderly Conduct, Forcible Touching, Harassment, Possession of Sexual Performance; Sexual Abuse 1st , Sexual Abuse 2nd, Sexual Contact, Sexual Misconduct, and Unlawful Surveillance.
ERO deportation officers made arrests in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, in Deer Park, Freeport, Greenlawn, Huntington Station, and Wyandanch on Long Island, and New City in Rockland County.
One of the individuals arrested during this operation will face federal criminal prosecutions for illegal re-entry after deportation, and failure to register as a sexual offender. The arrestees who are not being federally prosecuted, are detained in ICE custody, and will be processed administratively for removal from the United States. Any individual that returns to the United States illegally after being deported, is subject to immediate removal from the country.

“It’s not to protect copyright, I can tell you that,” he laughed.

“They are scared witless, and UKIP could never have existed, have risen, without the Internet, without the freedom of the Internet. Attorney General Sessions Releases Memorandum on Litigation Guidelines for Nationwide Injunctions Cases
Attorney General Jeff Sessions today issued litigation guidelines to aid Department of Justice attorneys involved in litigation challenging a federal government program, regulation, order, or law. The litigation guidelines will arm Department litigators handling these cases to present strong and consistent arguments in court against the issuance of nationwide injunctions and to reaffirm the existing constitutional and practical limitations on the authority of judges. The Department opposes the issuance of nationwide injunctions, consistent with the longstanding position of the Executive Branch under previous Administrations from both parties.
Nationwide injunctions—sometimes called “non-party injunctions”—prevent the federal government from enforcing an Executive Branch law or policy as to any person or organization, across the entire United States, regardless of whether such broad injunctions are necessary to provide relief to the specific plaintiffs involved in the case. In effect, they allow a single unelected federal district judge to set or veto a national policy. The increase in the number of nationwide injunctions in recent years, across Administrations of both parties, highlights the problem of judges acting outside of the bounds of their authority to grant relief to people or organizations that extends beyond the particulars of a specific case.
In releasing the litigation guidelines, Attorney General Sessions provided the following statement:
“Increasingly, we are seeing individual federal district judges go beyond the parties before the court to give injunctions or orders that block the entire federal government from enforcing a law or policy throughout the country. This kind of judicial activism did not happen a single time in our first 175 years as a nation, but it has become common in recent years. It has happened to the Trump administration 25 times in less than two years. This trend must stop. We have a government to run. The Constitution does not grant to a single district judge the power to veto executive branch actions with respect to parties not before the court. Nor does it provide the judiciary with authority to conduct oversight of or review policy of the executive branch. These abuses of judicial power are contrary to law, and with these new guidelines, this Department is going to continue to fight them.”
In a recent speech to the Eight Circuit Judicial Conference, the Attorney General stressed that the use of nationwide injunctions threatens the rule of law. The Attorney General also emphasized how nationwide injunctions are a danger to our constitutional order in a March op-ed (link is external). The litigation guidelines published today will strengthen the Department’s efforts to help restore order, boundaries, and common sense to the U.S. judicial system.
