“Such Events Are More Dangerous Than We Had Previously Thought”

According to the UNM professor, new research has shed more light on the types of airbursts caused by Tunguska-type asteroids that “explode in the air but don’t hit the ground.”

This includes supercomputer simulations by planetary defense researchers that have produced potentially horrifying conclusions.

“We have learned that such events are more dangerous than we had previously thought, because they are directional explosions,” Boslough told The Debrief.

In his presentation abstract, the UNM professor explained that the mainstream narrative for the past century has suggested that had the Tunguska space rock arrived 4 hours and 47 minutes later, it would have destroyed St. Petersburg.

However, he added, while intentionally mimicking the clickbait style some media reports use to overstate the actual risk, “new orbital calculations have revealed the stunning truth.”

“If it had been mere minutes late, it could have destroyed a city in the US or Canada,” the professor explained. “A couple (of) minutes after that, it would have missed Earth altogether, only to return and menace our planet in the future. That time could be now.”

Boslough told The Debrief that if a Halloween Fireball-style cosmic airburst is large enough, it can incinerate everything on the planet’s surface directly beneath it “like a cosmic blowtorch.”

He also noted that there are a million Tunguska-sized asteroids for every dinosaur killer, with most remaining undiscovered.

“One fear is that we still don’t know how many (if any) could be hidden in the Taurid stream that strikes Earth every year at this time,” Boslough explained, adding that “these small ones dominate the risk.”

The Probability is ‘Very Close to Zero’

Although scientists agree that another Tunguska-sized airburst is certainly possible, Boslough told The Debrief that the mathematical chances of a Tunguska-level event this October 31st are far lower than some more sensational media reports suggest.

“The probability that the Tunguska object had an evil twin that will create a cosmic blowtorch that destroys Denver (or any other city) on Halloween is very close to zero,” he explained, including the highly populated Colorado city as an example of the cities his team modeled for a possible airburst scenario.

Boslough said that such horrifying Halloween Fireballs events “are precisely the types of hypothetical scenarios we discuss at our Planetary Defense Conference every two years to practice our preparedness and mitigation planning.”

When addressing the chances of a Tunguska-level airburst scenario during the next Taurid swarms scheduled to swing by Earth six and ten years from now, respectively, the UNM professor’s conference abstract explained that the Taurid resonant swarm model does “predict close approaches of a hypothetical swarm in 2032 and 2036.”

Although the chances of a catastrophic Halloween Fireball during either event are also extremely low, the professor told The Debrief that a 2032 swarm could offer astronomers a chance to hunt for potential future dangers, including space rocks capable of producing deadly airburst scenarios.

“The good news is that new and more powerful telescopes for discovering and tracking asteroids will be in operation by 2032, when the next time the hypothetical Taurid swarm gets close to Earth,” Boslough explained,” and can provide advance warning if there’s a Tunguska-sized object on the way.”

A “Green Star” That Shouldn’t Exist, and the Signal JWST Found From Nowhere

Stars aren't supposed to look green, yet astronomers just calculated a green colour for a dead star called WD J1330+6435, about 280 light-years away in Draco.

And the James Webb Space Telescope caught a single bright signal from an empty patch of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, twice, 88 days apart. Nobody knows what it is yet.

Why no green stars? A star gives off all colours at once, and our eyes and brain combine them into white, so star colour works like a thermometer: cool stars look orange, Sun-like stars white, the hottest blue.

This white dwarf may be different because it pulled in rocky material from its own planets, and sodium, calcium and lithium in its thick atmosphere filter the light. Nobody has photographed the green yet; the colour comes from its spectrum.

In the Webb data, a team led by Mason Huberty (University of Minnesota) opened nearly all the shutters on the Fornax field that Hubble observed for more than 270 hours, revealing about 10,000 galaxies.

One emission line at 1.6 microns showed up in both August and November 2023 observations, with nothing visible at that spot. We don't know what it is, and nobody is calling it aliens.

Etna's ash reached about 4,000 m, but the summit is about 3,357 m, so it rose only about 650 m above the volcano. Code red is an aviation alert. At Mayon, an eruption to about 18,000 ft was reported, though ash was not identified on satellite.

A Navajo medicine man opened his own illustrated book to a giant 30 to 40 feet tall and told Tom Horn: "There was this time when the earth was infested with such great giants and alien gods that came down and destroyed and ate the people."

Then it moves to a claim that the Smithsonian hid giant bones, the fight over the observatory telescopes on Arizona's Mount Graham, and an Apache legend of giants near Tucson.

Later, Tom Horn explains why he connects these stories to Genesis 6 and the Book of Enoch. Many readers take these ancient texts to describe fallen angels, called the Watchers, fathering giants known as the Nephilim. He ends with the high places where these traditions say doorways to heaven open.

Tom Horn is recounting and interpreting traditions he was told and petroglyphs his team filmed. Nothing here presents verified giant remains, and the Smithsonian cover-up is an allegation, not a documented finding.

The theory grows out of a real coincidence: on the morning of September 11, 2001, the Carlyle Group was holding an investor conference in Washington, and one of the guests was Shafig bin Laden, Osama bin Laden's half-brother. One thing to fix in the premise: that meeting wasn't at the Carlyle Hotel. It was at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington. The hotel connection is only that the firm was named after New York's Carlyle Hotel, where its founders met in 1987.

What Carlyle was. A Washington private-equity firm that bought defense and aerospace companies. It was famous for hiring former officials: former Defense Secretary Frank Carlucci as chairman, former Secretary of State James Baker, former British Prime Minister John Major, and George H.W. Bush as a paid adviser. Critics called it a revolving door between government and the arms business.

The facts the theory rests on:

The bin Laden family's construction business, the Saudi Binladin Group, had invested about $2 million in a Carlyle fund. Shafig was at the Sept 11 conference as an investor, and Bush Sr. had attended a Carlyle event in the same hotel the day before. The family pulled its money out in October 2001.

Carlyle owned United Defense, maker of the Crusader artillery system and Bradley fighting vehicles. After the attacks and the jump in defense spending, United Defense went public in December 2001 and Carlyle made a large profit.

Bush Sr. had met Saudi royals and business figures on Carlyle's behalf, and the firm had other Saudi investors.

How it became a theory. Journalist Dan Briody's 2003 book The Iron Triangle laid out the firm's government and Saudi ties. Michael Moore's 2004 film Fahrenheit 9/11 then made the Sept 11 meeting and the bin Laden investment a centerpiece. Moore suggested the Bush family's Saudi business ties shaped the response to the attacks, including the flights that took bin Laden relatives out of the U.S. soon after. Online, that hardened into stronger claims: that the elite behind the firm profited from the attacks, knew about them in advance, or helped cause them.

What the record supports. The meeting, the investment and the war profits are all documented. Evidence of foreknowledge or involvement is not. The 9/11 Commission found no evidence that the bin Laden relatives who left the U.S. had ties to the plot, and Osama had been disowned by his family in the 1990s.
