Trump says he rescheduled rallies after urging from GOP campaigns in area: 'Thought I could relax'

President Trump told a Florida audience Friday night that he rescheduled two rallies for the weekend after it was requested by Republican campaigns in the area.

The president had initially canceled the physical rallies in Iowa and Kansas in favor of calling into tele-rallies as voters and candidates gear up for the midterm elections Tuesday. Both rallies will take place on Sunday.

"I thought this was going to be my last one," Trump told the Daytona Beach crowd. "I thought I could relax. Twenty-eight days in a row of this crap is lot, it’s a lot. My voice is about operating at about 49.2%.

"They called me in Iowa and they called me in Kansas, and they said, 'Sir, would it be possible to do a little rally of about 50,000 people each?''" he continued. "And I said, 'Does it matter?' They said, 'We just want to make sure.' So on Sunday, while you’re all watching football, I’ll be traveling in a very beautiful airplane to Iowa, to Kansas."

The rallies will take place in Salina, Kansas, and Dubuque, Iowa.

1901: Henry Dunant, who co-founded the Geneva YMCA in 1852 and was one of the founders of the World YMCA, was awarded the first-ever Nobel Peace Prize for founding the International Committee of the Red Cross in 1863, and inspiring the Geneva Conventions (Conventions de Genève). 1946: John R. In 1881, 26 years after its foundation, the official emblem of the World Alliance of YMCAs was adopted, at the Ninth International YMCA World Conference, in London. The circular emblem is made up of five segments, one for each continent. The segments are held together by small monograms of YMCA in different languages. U.S. attorney investigating three groups reportedly 'registering non-citizens to vote in Arizona'

U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona Timothy Courchaine's office is investigating reports about "three non-profit organizations registering non-citizens to vote in Arizona" and has already referred the matter to the FBI, he said Friday night.

He also sent letters Oct. 26 to Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap and Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes regarding Stand Indivisible Arizona, Worker Power and When We Count, citing "written and video reports" that "personnel acting on behalf" of the three groups "either intentionally disregarded or were recklessly ignorant of" Arizona law barring registration of non-citizens in elections.

Courchaine asked them to review registrations submitted by the three groups.

"On the eve of an important midterm election, the District of Arizona reminds the public that voting is limited solely to U.S. citizens," even if a non-citizen has "legal authority to be in the country on a visa or as a legal permanent resident," and that "knowingly causing another person to be registered to vote while knowing that person is not entitled to do so" violates federal law.

One of the many secret societies who have been tabbed as the hidden puppet masters behind the New World Order, the Shickshinny Knights of Malta – also known as the American Grand Priory of the Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta – are headquartered in the modest town of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, in Luzerne County, an area settled largely by German and Russian immigrants. The order, incorporated in 1956, was created in the mid-1950s by Charles Pichel and a few associates, and provided with a colourful origin story in the usual secret society manner. According to Pichel’s account, the Shickshinny Knights are descended from the original Knights of Malta. When Napoleon seized the island of Malta and dispossessed the Knights of their last territorial base, a handful of knights took refuge at the court ofTsar Alexander I of Russia, where they became members of his personal honour guard but preserved a Priory of the Knights of Malta in secret. Some of their descendants emigrated from Russia to Pennsylvania and brought the knightly traditions of their forefathers with them; in 1908, the Order’s Grand Priory in America was founded. By this process, the heritage of the original Knights Hospitallers made its way to Luzerne County. Not least among the ironies of the Shickshinny Knights is the close parallel between these stories and the “family tradition” origin legends of many modern Wiccan groups. See Wicca.

Despite their lurid reputation in certain conspiracy theories dealing with the New World Order, the Shickshinny Knights are among the smaller conservative secret societies in twenty-first-century America. Its membership has included a number of retired generals from the Second World War era, including Charles Willoughby, former chief of intelligence for General Douglas MacArthur, but very few figures with significant power or wealth. It does apparently have significant connections with other extreme right-wing groups in America and Europe – one of its members, for example, was an editor for the John Birch Society magazine American Opinion. The Justice Department has warned election officials in multiple states that they could face jail time if they fail to preserve election records in accordance with federal law, according to copies of the letters obtained by ABC News.

Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter framed his letter, sent Thursday to state election leaders, as a "reminder" of their obligation to preserve ballots, pollbooks, precinct sign-in sheets and other election-related materials.

"It is a crime to willfully fail to comply" with the record-retention rules, McCotter wrote. "Such a failure is punishable by up to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine."

States push back on Trump's noncitizen voting claims

The message from McCotter comes as the Trump administration continues threatening election workers in California and elsewhere with jail time for tabulating ballots that the Justice Department claims could belong to noncitizen voters.

Multiple state election officials said McCotter's invocation of criminal liability for election officials who fail to comply with longstanding law marks a departure from how past administrations have communicated such obligations to their state counterparts.

Some state officials ABC News spoke with took issue with the letter's tone.

"While I hope the decision to emphasize criminal penalties was intended simply as a reminder of the law, it could have been handled differently," said Connecticut Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas.

In January, the FBI seized more than 600 boxes of ballots and other election records in Fulton County, Georgia, as part of an investigation driven by allies of President Donald Trump seeking to overturn the outcome of the 2020 election.

A federal judge in May denied a request from Fulton County officials to force the FBI to return the ballots.

Left-wing Berlin mayor candidate’s private Hamas remarks complicate coalition talks

Elif Eralp’s office accidentally returned an interview transcript containing internal comments and annotations.

BERLIN —Berlin mayoral candidate Elif Eralp is facing accusations of hypocrisy from political opponents after private remarks about “people with connections to Hamas” raised questions about her party’s approach to policing and the Middle East conflict.

The controversy risks complicating efforts by Eralp’s Left Party to form a coalition with the Social Democrats and Greens after winning the Sept. 20 Berlin election. The far-left party’s pro-Palestinian stance helped mobilize voters, but Jewish organizations have accused it of antisemitism. The party denies this.

The remarks appeared in internal comments accidentally included when Eralp’s office returned an annotated transcript of an interview to Der Spiegel, as per customary German journalistic practice.

Der Spiegel asked Eralp about antisemitism within her party. Eralp acknowledged that boundaries had been crossed at some campaign events. The journalists then asked whether she was referring to Ibrahim Ibrahim, a pro-Palestinian agitator who attended the Left Party’s election-night celebration. Eralp answered “yes,” according to Der Spiegel, but later sought to remove the exchange from the interview transcript.

In private comments apparently to her assistants, inadvertently included in the returned transcript, Eralp referred to advice she said she had previously received from Berlin’s State Criminal Police Office (LKA) about publicly naming individuals linked to organized crime: “The LKA said at the time that they recommend never naming specific individuals. Back then, it was about organized crime. Now it’s about people with connections to Hamas.”

She added: “I cannot put myself and my family in danger for SPIEGEL. What do we do now? Cancel the entire interview?”

In a statement through his lawyers earlier this month, Ibrahim said he was not a member of the Left Party and said he rejected antisemitism. “I categorically reject the accusation of supporting terrorism,” his statement said.

In another private comment on the Ibrahim Ibrahim question, Eralp referred to an unidentified man by his first name, saying he “does not want to name specific individuals, neither does my husband, nor do I. He is afraid of these people, and so am I.” Der Spiegel did not identify the unknown man or explain his relationship to Eralp.

The CDU’s mayoral candidate, Stefan Evers, who placed second in the vote, said the remarks exposed a contradiction between Eralp’s concerns and her party’s position. The Left Party has called for reducing police numbers, while Evers alleged that members were working with the people Eralp feared.

“If the woman who is supposed to govern Berlin in the future isso afraid for herself and her family that she hesitates to publicly name terrorist sympathizers, while parts of her own party are working hand in hand with those very circles, then reasonable voices within the Greens and [Social Democrats] must finally pull the emergency brake,” Evers told POLITICO.

Former Berlin Mayor Michael Müller, a Social Democrat,warned that Eralp could be vulnerable to blackmail.

Eralp said Thursday she still wants to become Berlin’s mayor. Asked about the report, she told journalists: “I will not comment because private, internal information has been published. But what I can say very clearly is that, as governing mayor, I will ensure the safety of all Berliners.”

5 Crimes That Could Be Behind The Ilhan Omar Raid

The Somali's life story as an oppressed refugee was always an inversion of reality.

Federal agents raided the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Monday, and the search was conducted by the Department of Homeland Security, not the FBI.

Omar’s sister and another family member received subpoenas, The New York Times reported Tuesday night, suggesting the investigation touches on her immigration history. But the refugee-turned-congresswoman has led a life so full of suspicious activities that it could involve, or extend to, quite a bit more. Let’s try to narrow it down:

1. Immigration Fraud Because of Her Father

Omar’s father was part of the communist dictatorship that Somalis were fleeing, not an innocent victim fleeing it. Omar can’t be charged with marrying her brother to get him citizenship because the statute of limitations is up on that. But if she only got her citizenship because of fraud, that’s a different story — her citizenship could be revoked.

The most interesting path that takes is one that reveals Omar’s entire story as an oppressed refugee to be an inversion of reality. Somalis were permitted to come as refugees to the United States because they were fleeing the carnage created by Siad Barre, a communist despot. Somalia consists of four major tribes, and Barre was extremely racist against one of them: the Isaaq. His military committed a genocide against them, killing as many as 200,000.

Omar’s dad, Nur Omar Mohamed, wasn’t one of the Isaaq — he was a high-ranking official in Barre’s army. Even a sympathetic obituary in a pro-Omar Minnesota publication describes her father as a colonel in Somalia’s army, and a wealthy and powerful man. Omar grew up in a guarded compound with her own servants, including a chauffeur.

So how did her family end up in Kenya, and eventually in Arlington, Virginia? Because by 1991, Somalis had enough of the oppression of Barre’s one-party state and rose up to overthrow him. Barre was exiled, and his goons with him. It was only then, when the regime fell, that Omar’s family left.

Omar has described her father as an “educator,” but if he concealed the fact that he was actually an army officer in the very regime whose oppression caused the refugee crisis, then he never should have been allowed in. (This is not unprecedented: Barre’s son and second-in-command also came to America, first to Virginia like Omar, then he moved to Ohio, where he started a company that bills Medicaid.)

Omar has said the raid on her home amounts to political persecution, but ironically, Barre passed a law allowing national security forces to indefinitely detain anyone who criticized the government, with no trial.

2. Immigration Fraud Because of Her Own Statements

Omar says she got citizenship through what’s called “derived” citizenship, which means that when an adult becomes a citizen, his minor children automatically become citizens too. But Omar long said she was born in 1981, meaning she would have been 18 or 19 when her father became a citizen in 2000. When she took office as a congresswoman in 2019 and began facing scrutiny, she changed her birth year to 1982 in congressional and Minnesota legislature directories. It’s also possible Omar’s dad never became a citizen. Naturalization records are only secret until after death, so an opponent in her Democrat primary requested her father’s records in 2022, and the Department of Homeland Security told her that none existed.
