Trump Administration Arrests Nearly 500 Criminal Fugitives Hiding in Taxpayer-Funded Housing Across America — Murder, Rape, Child Sex Crimes, Drug Trafficking — 10 Firearms Seized!. 1/2

The Trump administration is cleaning house… literally!

Nearly 500 criminal fugitives living in taxpayer-subsidized housing have been arrested in a sweeping nationwide law enforcement operation targeting dangerous offenders who were allegedly using government-assisted housing as a refuge from justice.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), under Secretary Scott Turner, announced that 491 fugitives were arrested during “Operation Clean House,” a coordinated federal crackdown involving the HUD Office of Inspector General, the U.S. Marshals Service, and state and local law enforcement agencies.

The multi-month operation unfolded throughout 2026 across 12 cities, including New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Minneapolis, and New Orleans.

According to HUD’s official October 8 announcement, authorities targeted fugitives residing in federally assisted housing, including individuals wanted on outstanding felony warrants for some of the most serious crimes imaginable.

The offenses associated with those arrested included:

Rape and second-degree murder

Sex offenses against children

Drug trafficking

Illegal weapons offenses

Aggravated assault

Fraud

Possession or manufacture of an incendiary device

Authorities also seized 10 firearms during the operation.

Think about that. Federal housing assistance is supposed to provide struggling American families, seniors, and vulnerable residents with a safe place to live.

Instead, federal investigators discovered hundreds of fugitives residing in these subsidized communities.

And now, the Trump administration is making clear that taxpayer-funded housing will not serve as a hiding place for wanted criminals.

HUD Secretary Scott Turner delivered a blistering warning following the arrests.

“We will not allow criminal predators and fraudsters to use HUD housing as a haven or live freely on the taxpayer’s dime.”

Turner continued:

“Operation Clean House removed dangerous drug traffickers, rapists, and sex offenders and delivered real accountability. President Trumppromised to restore once-great American cities, and we are fulfilling that promise by making our communities safer.”

Acting HUD Inspector General Brian D. Harrison also celebrated the results, declaring that federal authorities have zero tolerance for criminals threatening residents of government-assisted housing.

Harrison said his office would continue targeting fugitives, fraudsters, and vulnerabilities within federal housing programs.

“HUD-assisted housing will not be treated as a haven for fugitives,” Harrison warned in the agency’s October 5 announcement.

More Than 70 Fugitives Arrested in Cleveland Alone

The nationwide operation produced significant results in individual cities.

According to the HUD Inspector General’s September 30 announcement, federal authorities arrested more than 70 fugitives during a two-week operation in the Cleveland, Ohio, area.

The crackdown, conducted September 14 through September 25, involved the U.S. Marshals-led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and HUD investigators.

In Memphis, another coordinated operation resulted in 24 people being taken into custody, including 17 HUD OIG arrests and seven arrests assisted by the Memphis Safe Task Force.

Federal officials reported that most of those apprehended in Memphis were current HUD program participants taken into custody inside federally assisted housing units.

Separately, a Philadelphia-area enforcement sweep dubbed “Operation Moving Day” resulted in 41 arrests involving fugitives residing in federally subsidized properties.

Those arrests involved warrants for serious offenses, including armed robbery, shootings, aggravated assault, arson, and crimes against children.

It might be that none of these places are good for life in the end, but we need to go there and check before making bold claims that we are alone!

Research is hard

Felton points out that we have been looking for alien life for decades without success. That’s true, as long as we stress that it has been done under tight budgets, technology constraints, and with limited best guesses as to where alien technological signals might be hiding.

Do not think for one second that we have been freely spending money on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI). Most of SETI has been focusing on a narrow range of radio waves, where the universe is pretty quiet, so an alien signal would be easy to spot.

That assumes that aliens are purposely sending out messages and on particular frequencies.

Only recently, scientists have started looking at broader frequencies. The research on expanding that search is from just this summer.

The whole field of exoplanets is only three decades old, and the first confirmed rocky world orbiting a Sun-like star is Kepler-10b, announced by NASA in 2011. That’s 15 years ago! I have t-shirts older than that!

If we consider the signals humans are sending out, it’s mostly cellphone masts and airport radars. The former could be detected up to 10 light-years away, the latter 200 light-years away.

The problem is that we have not had airport radar for 200 years. The signals that would make us visible are still extremely local.

There could be a civilization like us relatively close by, and we might have completely missed it for now.

It’s only a paradox if you believe it is!

Now, let me take the fight to my fellow Italian physicist Enrico Fermi. The “paradox” that bears his name is usually simply reported as “Where is everyone?” but the paradoxical part is implied.

The question comes at the end of a conversation about all these high probabilities of planets around Sun-like stars and life eventually giving rise to a civilization.

The civilizations could then travel through the galaxies and spread across the stars, even within the known laws of physics. Yet, we do not see it happen.

Fermi asked, "Where is everyone?" – I want to ask, why would anyone do that?!

I want to live in a Star Trek universe, exploring new worlds and seeing new stars, but this is not the one we inhabit. Humans have been going to space for decades, and the farthest we have gone from our planet was this year. And it was not that far.

Deep space is a deadly environment, and it is enormous. You, a single human on a generational ship, would maybe cross a couple of light-days in your lifetime if you’re lucky. The closest star is 4.1 light-years away! Why would any member of a civilization embark on this journey?

Ultimately, the answer to life elsewhere in the universe lies with the limits of how we look for it.

Do we understand what life is? No.

But have we been thorough with the ways we have looked for that type of life? Not a chance!

Can we then make some generalized statement about the possibility of life in the universe? We most certainly will!

Trump Goes to Bat for His New Press Secretary After Widely-Panned First Briefing: ‘She Did Very Good’

President Donald Trump defended his newly minted White House press secretary after her widely panned debutat the briefing room podium, praising her as she beamed behind him.

Asked by a gaggle of reporters outside the White House ahead of his departure to Alaska, Trump remarked that he thought Katie Zacharia did well Tuesday morning.

“Who?” the president asked over the roar of nearby aircraft.

He then turned to look at Zacharia before looking back at the reporters.

“I thought she did very good,” he said. “I thought she was very good.”

Zacharia, 41, stood behind Trump wearing dark sunglasses and clutching her purse.

Zacharia was announced last week as successor to former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who shockingly stepped down in August following the birth of her second child.

The California mother of four was clearly nervous as she took to the podium Tuesday morning, mostly reading her remarks and taking a few softball questions before ending the briefing after a measly 14 minutes.

Zacharia was crushed for her first turn at the White House podium, with one unnamed White House official telling MS NOW needed to quickly improve or would be gone faster than Anthony Scaramucci, who lasted a brief 11 days as White House Communications Director in 2017.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, a frequent Trump target, declared Zacharia’s short briefing “bizarre,” telling anchor Wolf Blitzer:

MS NOW also roasted Zacharia, with former Rep. Sean Patrick Maloneyzapping her for her “purely political speech” and “violating the Hatch Act.”

“Well, it’s a purely political speech. She’s the official White House Press Secretary. She is not there to talk about campaign rallies and to talk about the campaign and to talk about her favorite issue,” Maloney said.

Iran is preparing for another potential showdown with President Donald Trump, and Tehran is now threatening to expand the conflict across the Middle East, launch ground incursions into neighboring countries, sink American warships, and kill U.S. military personnel if Washington resumes major strikes against the Islamic Republic.

Iran has reportedly constructed massive dirt mounds around its Pickaxe Mountain and Natanz nuclear facilities in an effort to obstruct potential ground raids by U.S. or Israeli forces.

According to a report published Tuesday by The Wall Street Journal,the Iranian regime is reinforcing military installations, deploying ground forces along its borders, and preparing civilians for another round of fighting.

Ali Jahanshahi announced that more than 50 combat and support units (including mobile, rapid-reaction, armored, mechanized, artillery, engineering, missile, and UAV elements) remain deployed from the northwest through the west, southwest, east, southeast, and along the Makran coast.

Earlier reporting from Iranian outlets and regional media indicated the bulk of ground forces had been shifted to frontier positions, with special emphasis on the southern coastline facing the Gulf of Oman amid fears of potential US entry points.

Tehran has also reportedly informed mediators that American military personnel would face more aggressive attacks, including attempts to sink U.S. Navy vessels operating in the Middle East and kill their crews.

At the same time, the regime is preparing its population for renewed fighting. Billboards in Tehran now advertise civilian training courses in the use of shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles and sniper rifles.

A few months ago, Aaron Lucas, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, released a landmark memorandum waiving all prior non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), secrecy commitments, and oaths regarding UAPs for all current and former government employees and contractors (as described here). This historic ODNI guidance legally cleared the path for Jay Stratton to come forward and disclose information to designated government task forces without fear of professional or legal ruin.

By now, Jay must have revealed everything he knows to the PURSUE team. However, so far the PURSUE team has not found evidence that links UAP to non-human technologies.

ODNI’s institutional assessment is a double-edged sword for Stratton. On one hand, the ODNI formally cleared the restrictions that allowed him to publish his memoir and validated his task force’s data.

On the other hand, the ODNI’s official intelligence conclusions stop short of confirming non-human intelligence, classifying the released materials strictly as “unresolved anomalies” requiring further scientific evaluation.

There is no doubt that Jay Stratton has a high professional credibility, as he served for over 32 years on the battlefield and as a senior defense executive. He held a civilian rank equivalent to a two-star general and regularly contributed to the President’s Daily Briefing.

He was the director of the Pentagon’s official UAP Task Force (UAPTF), which received a National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation from DNI Avril Haines for their rigorous, whole-of-government work on UAP data.

While his resume is undeniable, the claims Jay makes are not corroborated by publicly verifiable data.

In the six tranches of released of UAP data through the PURSUE files (https://www.war.gov/ufo/), the vast majority of military UAP encounters can be attributed to conventional objects, such as drones, weather balloons, foreign spy aircraft, or airborne clutter.

The first paper from the UAP Science Advisory Council, posted here last week, shows that some of the declassified UAP are likely birds.

This does not mean that some small fraction of UAP cannot represent encounters with alien technology. To figure this out, we need better digital data or material evidence than released so far.

We do injustice to this important research frontier by either approaching it with a skeptical or a faith-based mind. In the future, the UAP Science Advisory council aims to conduct new experiments with state-of-the-art sensors to obtain high quality scientific data on UAP in an attempt to identify their nature (similarly to the Galileo Project data discussed here and here).

We have to see the spacecraft that Jay claims to have seen (or data associated with these spacecraft) in order to accept his claim. Seeing that evidence does not require going to the field with new sensors.

If someone holds the spacecraft, that someone can show it to the President of the United States. Jay claims that the president is not aware of the spacecraft despite the unprecedented interest in seeing it by the White House.

We must see the evidence to gauge whether Jay is speaking the truth.

The truth will only be revealed through digital or material evidence, collected and analyzed by scientific instruments.

This is how humanity discovered that Earth is not at the center of the Universe and this is the only way we will find whether humans are not at the top of the cosmic food chain.

In my view, Dupont's letter described an incident markedly less dramatic than Grusch's characterization, in a May 5, 2026 interview that "the Air Force, I think, was very afraid when I went public…. it's come to my attention that when I went public in June 2023, the Department of the Air Force filed an unauthorized disclosure Espionage Act complaint against me."

Although the Dupont letter was received by Rep. Burchett and presumably by Grusch in November 2023, it was never made public until I published it on June 25, 2026.

On September 23 I sent one of Grusch's lawyers, Huntington Willis, an email requesting that Grusch release the complete documents they had received from the government under the FOIA request, in the interest of transparency, since Grusch and his lawyers had received items that I had not. I have received no reply.

However, in their submission today, Grusch's lawyers did attach most of the 40 pages released to Grusch.

Oddly, they omitted only a form that Grusch filled out for Rep. Burchett's office on October 4, 2023, where Grusch answered, "Briefly explain how the Congressman can be of assistance to you.

Please attach additional copies of any relevant information:" Since Grusch's written explanation was redacted on privacy grounds in the copy that I received via my FOIA request, we are not going to see that 2023 explanation by Grusch, unless Grusch chooses to release it.

The government has already asked Judge Brinkema to rule that the Department conducted an adequate search, and to close the case.

The judge will hold a hearing on November 20 to hear further arguments from both sides.

Based only on the incomplete picture of the litigation negotiations that is publicly available, my low-confidence prediction is that the judge will agree with Grusch that the search was inadequate, and will order the DoD to locate and produce documents giving more details on the origins of the brief inquiry into something somebody thought Grusch might have done wrong. If we ever do see those missing documents, I suspect they will merely fill in the picture painted by Dupont of an incident substantially less significant than Grusch's public characterizations.

But by all means, let's see all the documents. Let's get the whole picture.

In earlier submissions, the DoD said its searches initially returned 22 "potentially responsive" records totaling a whopping 6,632 pages, but that after processing and "responsiveness reviews" it released only 40 pages to Grusch.

The public filings do not spell out the disposition of the remaining 6,592 pages. The government didn't really explain this, and Grusch's lawyers have not raised it as a concern in their submissions.

But since one commentator on X suggested that the 6,592 pages were "the records that could settle it," I also asked Willis for clarification on that point, in my unanswered September 23 email. It certainly appears that Grusch and his lawyers think anything of interest will be found elsewhere.

The United Nations General Assembly rammed through another non-binding “political declaration” on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response on Tuesday by a lopsided 153–3 vote. The only countries that voted no were the United States, Israel, and Argentina. New Zealand and Paraguay abstained.

According toUN News, the declaration calls for stronger international cooperation on pandemic preparedness and welcomes the World Health Organization’s controversial Pandemic Agreement, adopted in May 2025.

The declaration is officially nonbinding, meaning it does not itself give the WHO legal authority to impose lockdowns, vaccine mandates, or other public health restrictions on Americans.

But the overwhelming vote raises a serious political question: How much influence should international health bureaucracies have over the decisions of sovereign nations?

For theTrump administration, the answer has been clear: America’s public health decisions must remain under American control.

During Monday’s debate, the US objected to the declaration’s use of “sexual and reproductive health (SRH) language” – ironically, finding common cause with Iran on this.

“While we support strengthening health systems and protecting women’s health, we do not support references to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, and ‘sexual and reproductive health care service’s without caveats and qualification,” the US delegate said.

“The United States strongly opposes the inclusion of harmful gender ideology, including comprehensive sexuality education, as it is detrimental to the well-being and development of children and undermines parental authority.”

Echoing the US’s opposition to this language, Iran said SRH references “do not enjoy universal agreement and cannot be construed as creating an international obligation or commitment.”

The declaration commits member states to “mainstream gender equality” and ensure “universal access to sexual and reproductive health care services, including for family planning,” by 2030. It does not refer to “reproductive rights”, gender ideology, or comprehensive sexuality education.

Canada and Australia argued that the document’s language “weakened commitments” to gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus welcomed the General Assembly’s decision, describing it as a major commitment to international cooperation.

“WHO welcomes this strong commitment by UN Member States to continue working together on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response,” said World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“The world has come a long way since COVID-19. We urge countries to now fulfil the commitments they have made – especially to finalize negotiations on the Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing system (PABS) annex, so the WHO Pandemic Agreement can be opened for signature, begin the process of ratification and enter into force as international law.”

The vote came after the Trump administration and several other countries objected to the declaration during a September 25 high-level meeting at UN headquarters in New York.

The objections prevented the document from being adopted by consensus, forcing the issue back to the General Assembly for a formal vote.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the United States opposed provisions concerning WHO influence, contested terminology, and unfinished negotiations over international pathogen-sharing arrangements.
