CBS Miami has thrown journalistic integrity right out the window after it appears to have intentionally deleted a line of questioning and subsequent answer from an interview they conducted this past weekend with Progressive Democratic congressional candidate Pia Dandiya.

Dandiya, a first-time candidate and progressive millionaire living in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is running against Republican congressional candidate and U.S. Marine Veteran Casey Askar in the newly drawn and open 22nd District.

During the pre-taped interview with Jim Defede of CBS4 Miami, Dandiya was questioned about her roughly $14 million fortune, her living in a “nice home,” and her being a registered corporate lobbyist for Apple, Inc.

The full "1 on 1" interview on “Facing South Florida was uploaded to the “Local News” section of the CBSNews.com website and to the official CBS Miami YouTube page.

Unfortunately for CBS Miami, it appear communication within the network broke down or is non-existent, and someone appears to have forgotten to tell whoever first uploaded the interview to the YouTube page to delete the unedited version on the site and upload the edited version instead. (Watch the video below)

EDIT—The website clearly directs readers to "Watch the Full Interview." When readers click on the YouTube video link, it directs them to one of two edited versions of the interview. There are (2) "1 on 1" videos of the interview that were uploaded to the CBS Miami YouTube channel.

Jack Smith team got anti-Trump judges to approve phone monitoring, didn’t reveal lawyers as targets

Unsealed court records reveal at least two Obama-appointed judges often openly critical of President Trump signed off on monitoring communications for top Trump aide Susie Wiles. Smith never disclosed to the judges that he was planning on spying on lawyers. The results tracked calls made to and from lawmakers, other lawyers and journalists.

Ex-prosecutor Jack Smith's team got permission to monitor the phone of Donald Trump's top aide from two federal judges openly critical of the president and did not reveal in their written request to those judges it would be secretly tracking contacts with criminal defense lawyers, according to freshly unsealed court records.

The documents made public Monday by the White House Government Transparency Task Force include two applications by the former special counsel to use a pen register and a tap and trace device to monitor the incoming and outgoing calls of current White House chief of staff Susie Wiles’s phone while she led Trump’s fundraising operation at the SAVE America PAC.

Pen register and tap and trace devices are used to gather private data on telephone calls, including when and where the calls were made, from whom to whom, and the length of the calls. While they do not include the actual contents of the calls, they often provide investigators with valuable information.

Both applications came in winter and spring 2023 after Trump announced he was running for president and as Smith investigated allegations that the former president had mishandled classified documents after the conclusion of his first term. The filings are redacted, but an administration official told Just the News that Wiles was the subject of Smith’s requests.

In the first application, which was submitted to the District of Columbia court in February 2023, Smith provides a glimpse into why his team was looking into Wiles’s communications.

"Historical telephone connection records provided by AT&T revealed that beginning at least as early as May 2022, the Subject Phone Number was used to communicate with subjects and witnesses shortly before and/or after they spoke with the Government in connection with this criminal investigation,” Smith wrote.

The following day, U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell, senior judge in the District of Columbia, signed an order approving the application. “The Court finds that an attorney for the government […] has certified that the information likely to be obtained by such an installation and use is relevant to an ongoing criminal investigation,” Howell wrote.

Howell was appointed by President Barack Obama and has ruled against several of Trump’s policy directives in his current term.

For instance, Howell struck down his executive order targeting Perkins Coie, a law firm involved in the genesis of the Trump-Russia collusion allegations. She ruled it violated the First, Fifth and Sixth Amendments by punishing the firm for its work for Hillary Clinton and its election litigation. The Justice Department sought her recusal, citing her remarks in the Jan. 6 cases, but Howell refused.

Howell railed against Trump, saying that “No American President has ever before issued executive orders like the one at issue […] and in purpose and effect, this action draws from a playbook as old as Shakespeare, who penned the phrase: ‘The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.’”

Howell has been a central figure in Trump-related litigation for nearly a decade. As chief judge of the D.C. federal court from 2016 to 2023, she oversaw grand juries used by Russia collusion Special Counsel Robert Mueller and by investigators probing efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

In March 2023, she pierced the attorney-client privilege between Trump and one of his lawyers, Evan Corcoran. In that case, she relied on the crime-fraud exception, forcing more testimony in the classified documents case. She also enforced Smith’s warrant for Trump’s Twitter account and fined the company $350,000 for slow compliance.

A second application to extend the pen register and tap and trace monitoring of Wiles’s phone came in April and was approved by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, another Washington DC-based jurist famously critical of Trump, the court records show.

‘No Bible Studies in Clubhouse!’

A homeowners association in Illinois is facing a religious liberty showdown after allegedly banning Christians from holding Bible studies in its clubhouse while continuing to allow secular groups to use the facility.

“If a homeowners association allows residents to host a seance in their clubhouse, they have to allow a Bible study,” said conservative radio host Todd Starnes. “The anti-Christian behavior of this association is appalling.”

The American Center for Law and Justice sent a formal demand letter to the Carillon North Homeowners Association in Grayslake, Illinois, warning that its policy could violate the federal Fair Housing Act.

According to the ACLJ, a resident-led Bible study had been meeting every Wednesday morning in the clubhouse since 2023 with the HOA’s approval. Participants read Scripture, shared prayer requests and prayed together. The resident reportedly completed the required reservation paperwork each year.

That changed in August.

The ACLJ says HOA management became concerned after residents sought permission to hold an annual Catholic Mass in the clubhouse. Rather than allow both gatherings, the board allegedly decided to prohibit religious meetings altogether.

The HOA president reportedly told the ACLJ’s client that the board’s consensus was “to not allow religious groups to meet in the clubhouse.”

Meanwhile, secular groups and activities remain permitted.

The ACLJ argues the policy amounts to religious discrimination under the Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination based on religion in housing-related services and facilities.

Federal guidance specifically says residents cannot be “excluded from reserving a common room for a prayer meeting when that room may be reserved for comparable secular uses.”

The HOA’s own website describes Carillon North as a community where activities and groups are developed and run by homeowners and touts its clubhouse as part of the neighborhood’s amenities.

The ACLJ is demanding that the HOA end the prohibition and provide written assurances that the Bible study may once again use the clubhouse.

If the association refuses, the organization says the homeowner is prepared to take the fight to federal court.

Entergy Louisiana CEO lets it slip on Meta's electricity demands

(The Center Square) — Entergy Louisiana CEO Phillip May accidentally disclosed Tuesday that Meta’s Richland Parish data center is expected to draw 4,500 megawatts of electricity, revealing for the first time a closely guarded figure that shows the extraordinary scale of the project’s power demand.

For perspective, 4,500 MW is about four times the peak electricity demand of the entire city of New Orleans.

Neither Entergy or Meta had ever disclosed the size of the load addition. Meta and Entergy have treated the data center’s projected electrical demand as confidential, arguing that details about the facility’s power needs constitute commercially sensitive information.

And according to May, Meta expects to use close to that amount almost continuously.

The exchange came as May defended billions of dollars in new generation and transmission infrastructure Entergy plans to build largely to serve Meta’s Richland Parish data center.

Attorneys for the Union of Concerned Scientists, Alliance for Affordable Energy and Louisiana Energy Users Group pressed May on whether Entergy has adequately examined the financial risks of making such enormous investments around a single customer — and whether other ratepayers could eventually be left paying for them.

Entergy argues its agreement with Meta is structured to prevent that.

May testified that Meta’s payments are designed to exceed the actual revenue requirements associated with infrastructure needed to serve the company. If Entergy’s costs rise, Meta pays more; if they fall, Meta pays less, he said.

"No other customer in our 100-year history has ever committed to such a generous package of benefits for our customers, along with protections that ensure that our customers get those benefits," May said of Meta.

HERE WE GO: Canadian Military Prepares for Possible “U.S. Invasion” as Globalist PM Mark Carney Takes Trump’s 51st State Warnings Seriously

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has publicly confirmed that his government has prepared for a once-unthinkable scenario: a military invasion by the United States.

The revelation was highlighted in an October 3 report by the BBC titled “Why Canada is preparing for a (long shot) US invasion.”

According to the BBC, Canada’s military is considering hypothetical scenarios involving American military action as relations between Ottawa and Washington deteriorate under President Donald Trump’s second administration.

The extraordinary development follows months of political and economic confrontation between President Trump and Canada’s political establishment, particularly over trade, national sovereignty, defense spending, and Trump’s repeated suggestions that Canada could become America’s 51st state.

And now Canadian officials are treating the possibility seriously enough to incorporate it into national security planning.

In a September 23 interview with The New York Times, Carney acknowledged that his government had considered the possibility of military action by Washington.

“I think you have a responsibility in these roles to look at extreme tail risk,” Carney told the Times.

“That’s just risk management,” he continued.

The prime minister stressed that an American invasion was not his government’s expected scenario, but argued that ignoring even highly improbable threats would be irresponsible.

When pressed about whether Canada had undertaken specific preparations, Carney declined to elaborate.

According to reporting cited by the BBC and earlier Globe and Mail accounts, Canadian military planners modeled a hypothetical American attack for the first time in a century.

The model projects U.S. forces overwhelming Canada’s strategic land and sea positions within a week, or as little as two days, after which Canadian forces would shift to guerrilla-style tactics resembling those used against U.S. and allied troops in Afghanistan.

Officials indicated that Canada would look to allies such as Britain and France for support. Canada’s defence chief has also pushed for a massive expansion of reserve forces, including up to 300,000 lightly trained citizen soldiers.

Military experts quoted by the BBC described an actual invasion as highly improbable given deep integration through NATO and NORAD. Former Royal Canadian Air Force Lt.-Gen. Christopher Coates noted that planners never previously considered an attack originating from U.S. territory.

The White House responded directly: “President Trump has done more than anyone to protect the great people of Canada.”

Trump has previously stated that the use of military force against Canada is “highly unlikely” and that he prefers economic leverage to achieve political objectives.

This isn’t the first time Mark Carney has flexed his non-existent military muscles against the United States.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Carney previously issued aggressive threats against Washington over Greenland, bizarrely hinting at military action and invoking NATO’s Article 5 to “defend” Denmark against American interests.

Carney has repeatedly signaled that Canada must abandon its historic posture toward the U.S., telling global elites at the World Economic Forum in Davos that “middle powers like Canada” need to break away from American leadership and pivot toward globalist networks.

Now, the regime in Ottawa has taken its anti-Trump hysteria to full-blown military delusions.
