The U.S. Senate debate in Michigan turned personal on Thursday night when Republican candidate Mike Rogerstook a swipe at Abdul El-Sayed’smother, accusing her of working for a group “indicted for funneling money to Al Qaeda.”

The heated exchange came after El-Sayedattacked Rogers’s position on Flock Safety cameras, saying the Republican and former FBI agent wanted to use them to spy on the public.

“Why would that bother you?” Rogers hit back in the debate hosted by Nexstar’s WOOD-TV and NewsNation, adding, “Well, if you have someone in your family that might be on the, on the watch list …”

“Go ahead and say it,” El-Sayed shot back, “You’ve been tiptoeing around it the whole time.”

Rogers added, “Well, let’s do this. Let’s open up this can of worms. I’ll tell you what my mother did. She was a small–”

El-Sayed cut in, “You go after my mom?”

Rogers replied,“I’m not going after your mom.”

El-Sayed answered, “That’s exactly what you are doing.”

“What your mom was working at, I was going after that organization that was indicted for funneling money to Al Qaeda. That’s your mom. My mom worked at a smoke chamber of commerce. I’ll put my mom up any day for that,” Rogers replied.

The moderator then turned to El-Sayed, “Alright, we will give you a rebuttal, and we’re moving away from this subject.”

“He wants this to be about anything but his own record,” El-Sayed answered, ignoring the attack, and adding, “He’s okay if the federal government spies on you, but he wants to make this about anybody else, going after my mom, my sister. Got nothing to actually say about me. I’m a dad and a doctor. I’m trying to get money out of politics, put money in the pocket–”

Rogers interjected, “Not really a doctor.”

El-Sayed finished, “Pass Medicare for All. He wants to take every corporate dollar he can to jump hoops for Donald Trump.”

A local ABC4 News report in late August noted, “New documents reported by ‘The Midwesterner’ say El-Sayed’s birth mother, Fatten Elkomy, worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency, also known as the IARA. The U.S. Treasury Department in 2004 designated the network as an organization supporting terrorism, including support for Osama bin Laden and Hamas.”

The report added:

In 2007, the Department of Justice charged IARA with a 33-count indictment for illegally transferring funds to Iraq. An exhibit list filed in court referenced Elkomy more than a dozen times, documenting participation in wire transfers and recorded phone calls between 1999 and 2002, as well as an IARA-USA transfer request form for over $24,000 to its Iraq office.

Elkomy was never charged with a crime. El-Sayed’s half-sister, Eman Abdelhadi, was arrested in October 2025 during an anti-ICE protest and later “entered a ‘not guilty’ plea to felony charges of aggravated battery after allegedly spitting on an Illinois state trooper,” reported Fox News.

Abdelhadi has also grabbed headlines during the campaign for her past comments on Hamas’s October 7th terror attacks. “Abdul loves his sister and also disagrees with her on a number of political positions and the rhetoric she’s chosen to use, including on foreign policy,” El-Sayed’s campaign told Fox News Digital when asked about those statements.

US Hits 'Rogue' International Criminal Court With Sweeping Sanctions

Importantly, the top American diplomat then turned to pressuring Americans allies, from European countries to Japan, to join the US-led sanctions and efforts to dismantle the ICC.

"We expect our allies, many of whom are part of the ICC and that rely on American service members for their defense, to rein in this rogue court," he said.

"If they do not, the United States will continue its campaign to dismantle the ICC, piece by piece, until Americans are threatened no longer," he added.

Ironically all of this stems in part from ICC action related to the US invasions and occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan, where yes - real US war crimes took place. These Bush-launched wars remain deeply unpopular among the American population - and even President Trump has long derided Bush's infamous war of choice.

The Associated Press writes on Friday:

U.S. believes has become politicized and attempted to unfairly and illegally prosecute Americans and Israelis on war crimes charges.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the sanctions on Friday, after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to South African prosecutor Navi Pillay, who had led investigations into potential ICC charges against U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The move, however, long predated the Nobel Prize announcement.

The Trump administration imposed targeted sanctions last year on several ICC officials such as prosecutors and judges, citing the ICC’s 2024 decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime ​Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over what the court alleged were improper actions carried out by the Israeli government during its war in Gaza.

Earlier in 2026, three sitting ICC judges sued Trump and his administration over the sanctions, arguing that they were unlawful.

And then again in August, the US imposed additional targeted sanctions, namely against International Criminal Court President Tomoko Akane and Senior Trial Lawyer Abdoulaye Seye.

Washington has scoffed at the court and sought to erode its influence stretching back multiple administrations, all the way back to the George W Bush era itself. But all this was renewed as the ICC began targeting Israel and its leaders in the wake of the Gaza war.

Palantir’s Thiel slams Pope Leo’s AI warnings

The billionaire has claimed the pontiff is using fears of the technology to distract from the Catholic Church’s child sex abuse scandals

The warnings have fueled demand for the tougher oversight of AI, with rival tech giants calling for safeguards against a technology they fear could evade human control.

During a series of closed-door lectures in Nashville, Thiel singled out both leaders while stepping up his warnings about the Antichrist, a prophesied figure traditionally associated with deception and opposition to the teachings of Jesus. The openly gay Republican surveillance company billionaire went on to accuse Leo XIV of using the debate over AI to shift attention away from decades of sexual abuse scandals within the Catholic Church.

“He needed something politically popular to distract from the church’s child sex abuse scandals, and he found it in AI,” Thiel said, referring to the pope’s first encyclical, published in May.

Leo XIV has made AI a major focus of his papacy, warning about the dangers of unchecked development and its impact on human dignity, individual freedoms and the concentration of power.

Earlier this week, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told Politico that the world should accept some “bad things” from AI, including hacks, scams and misuse, in exchange for its benefits. However, he drew the line at “the really catastrophic risks,” including “a serious loss of control to AI.”

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has also called for government regulation, warning that AI in the hands of malicious actors could trigger events causing “a billion deaths.” Nobel Prize-winning computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton has similarly warned that increasingly powerful systems could eventually escape human control, with catastrophic consequences for humanity.

The new National Institutes of Health (NIH) clinic is located on the agency's campus in Bethesda, Maryland. It was opened on Oct. 5, officials disclosed on Thursday. Reporters were not invited to the opening.

The Make America Healthy Again Commission, led by Kennedy, recommended in 2025 starting a new vaccine injury research program at the NIH as part of an effort to investigate vaccine injuries with better data collection and analysis.

The clinic is "dedicated to developing the science of preventing vaccine injuries, making vaccines safer, and most important of all, listening to the voices of people who have suffered vaccine injury, so that we can learn from them and learn from their experience to make vaccines safer," Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, the NIH's director, said in an Oct. 8 video statement.

NIH doctors and researchers will use the clinic to evaluate patients, identify potential causes of health problems, and try to figure out the best treatments, the Department of Health and Human Services, which Kennedy leads and is the NIH's parent agency, said in a statement.

Some NIH researchers studied patients with alleged or confirmed COVID-19 vaccine injuries during the pandemic, but received pushback from NIH leadership. Patients said they were later abandoned by the researchers.

Shelton is not known as a China expert. She authored “The Coming Soviet Crash” in 1989, followed by “Money Meltdown,” about the need for a unified international monetary regime, in 1994.Before joining Treasury, Shelton was a senior fellow at the Independent Institute, a free market think tank, and, before that, at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. She holds a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Utah.

“Throughout her career,she has specialized in analyzing the internal monetary and financial conditions of nations and their impact on exchange rates,” The Treasury said in its announcement, which will be released later Friday.

A bipartisan group of senators, including allDemocrats and a handful of Republicans, rejected President Donald Trump’s 2019 nomination of Shelton as a Fed governorover her views on Fed independence,her support for the gold standardand her questioning whether the U.S. needed a central bank.

Her appointment comes at what looks to be a time of turmoil at the Treasury regarding high-level personnel. A recent Wall Street Journal story cataloged seven Senate-confirmed officials who have left the department through the end of August. Only one position has been filled.

Bessent recently named David Zervos, former chief market strategist at Jefferies, as a counselor — the same job title as Shelton.Neither Shelton nor Zervos require Senate approval.

The final science campaign

FSL's final science activities concluded in July 2026, bringing more than 18 years of research operations to a close. One of the laboratory's final research programmes was PASTA-3, short for PArticle STAbilised emulsions.

Using FSL's Soft Matter Dynamics experiment container, researchers studied how emulsions - mixtures of liquids that do not naturally mix, such as oil and water - form and evolve in microgravity.

By removing the effects of gravity, scientists can better understand the mechanisms that influence emulsion stability and behaviour.

The final PASTA-3 samples arrived at the International Space Station aboard the Cygnus NG-23 spacecraft in September 2025.

Following extensive preparation and testing on the ground, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot helped complete one of the laboratory's last crew-assisted science activities during her εpsilon mission earlier this year.

A European effort in orbit and on the ground

The story of FSL began shortly after Columbus arrived at the International Space Station in 2008.

French ESA astronaut Léopold Eyharts carried out the facility's initial activation and commissioning, beginning a scientific journey that would span generations of astronauts, researchers and operations teams across Europe.

Throughout its lifetime, FSL supported a broad programme of research made possible by close cooperation between crews in orbit and specialists on the ground.

Astronauts installed experiments, exchanged samples and carried out maintenance, while scientists, engineers and operators coordinated activities from Earth and analysed the results.

For more than a decade, the Belgian User Support and Operations Centre (B.USOC) coordinated the facility's day-to-day science operations, preparing experiments, supporting astronauts during crew activities, monitoring performance and ensuring scientific data reached researchers for analysis.

Over the years, countless specialists helped keep the facility running well beyond its planned lifetime. When the final science operations concluded earlier this year, the B.USOC team described the moment as "bittersweet", reflecting on nearly two decades of scientific achievements and collaboration.

A lasting legacy

Although the hardware is now entering its final phase, FSL's scientific legacy will continue.

Over the coming months, astronauts will prepare the facility to be safe for disposal aboard a future cargo spacecraft, after which the crew will remove it from Columbus and transfer it to its assigned vehicle, for its final trip and destructive reentry into the Earth atmosphere.

As one chapter closes, the retirement of FSL will also free up valuable space inside the European laboratory for future research hardware and scientific investigations, with the ESA X-Ray Facility (XRF) being the first in the line to take the vacant spot, to further improve humanity understanding in the field of materials science.

The knowledge generated through nearly two decades of experiments, together with the expertise developed by the teams who designed, operated and used FSL, will continue to support future research in low Earth orbit and beyond.

As astronauts begin dismantling a laboratory that has been part of Columbus since the earliest days of European operations on the International Space Station, the Fluid Science Laboratory leaves behind a remarkable legacy of discovery, international cooperation and scientific excellence.

It is October Surprise season, time to roll out the phony terror plots ahead of the midterm elections. The FBI is accomplished at the practice, having cooked up a number of fabricated terror incidents in the wake of September 11, 2001. The latest episode unfolded on October 7, a week into October Surprise season.

Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud, an 18-yer old American of Somali descent, was charged in an alleged plot targeting the Mall of America. Prosecutors say Mohamud planned an Oct. 24 attack on the Hmong Arts Celebration at the mall, according to Donald Trump’s favorite propaganda outlet, Fox News.

The FBI groomed Mohamud, as it has groomed dozens of other supposed Islamic terrorists. The FBI used a “confidential human source” to exchange “hundreds of bi-directional messages through multiple social media and encrypted messaging applications” with the target. It is documented that the FBI manufactures terror plots. “Critics say the FBI is running a sting operation across America, targeting—to a large extent—the Muslim community by luring people into fake terror plots,” writes Paul Harris for The Guardian.

FBI bureaux send informants to trawl through Muslim communities, hang out in mosques and community centers, and talk of radical Islam in order to identify possible targets sympathetic to such ideals… FBI entrapment is a widespread tactic. Within days of the 9/11 terror attacks, FBI director Robert Mueller issued a memo on a new policy of “forward leaning—preventative—prosecution.”

“Mohamud allegedly sought martyrdom in carrying out his plans to murder innocent civilians,” the FBI declared. In order to make this appear authentic, the agency provided the mark with a Norinco AK-47, four magazines, 200 rounds of ammunition, and also a Mac-90 Sporter rifle with 7.62x39-caliber ammunition.

Katie Zacharia, a conservative commentator who briefly worked at the Department of Homeland Security, has been chosen as the next White House press secretary, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Ms. Zacharia will succeed Karoline Leavitt, who left the position in August. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is currently a communications adviser to Trump Media and Technology Group, which runs Truth Social. She had a brief stint working as a spokeswoman for then-Secretary Kristi Noem at the Department of Homeland Security and is a frequent guest on conservative media.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A White House spokesperson confirms to The Gateway Pundit that Zacharia was offered the position, but did not provide further details.

Has no target narrative. It amplifies whatever works for that specific user at that specific moment. For one user, that's a conspiracy theory. For another, it's a cooking video. For a third, it's a rage-bait political post.

Is emergent. The bias is baked into the training data, the feedback loop, and the optimization function. No one decided that the feed would radicalize. It happened because outrage generates more clicks than nuance.

Is nearly unauditable. The algorithm is a black box. Even the developers don't fully understand why a specific piece of content was recommended to a specific user at a specific time.

Scales infinitely. Propaganda requires a distribution channel. An algorithm is the distribution channel. It reaches 3 billion people simultaneously, each with a personalized feed.
