In the old days, one would ring the church bells warning of an incoming storm. People from all around would understand exactly what was happening.
Right now, church bells across the country are ringing…the question is anyone listening?
I do realize some of you are listening, because we communicate with each other fairly routinely. You get it.
Despite the advent of social media allowing warning signs to be addressed, its sound must not be loud enough. Most of America doesn’t realize how far we’ve gone over to socialism. Politics as usual won’t do the trick anymore. Voting still matters, but we must seek new leaders and quickly get rid of the uniparty establishment that has brought us to our knees. Seriously, we can’t even pass VOTER ID!
History has a tendency to repeat itself. Sometimes it's the same plot with different actors or the modern arrangement of an old musical score. Those of you that are musically inclined will understand that phrase.
When I say globalists are on the march and have a death grip on institutions all across America, I mean it. I speak about accountability all the time until many of you get sick of it (I see it in the comments). I will not relent.
Without accountability of those who committed the most egregious crimes of treason or conspiracy to overthrow our government are placed in checkmate, the storm will not subside and in fact it will only grow in intensity.

Update (1800ET): WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert sent a memo to teams that addresses ongoing discussions around transgender athletes in women's basketball.
"I know many of you have received questions in recent weeks regarding transgender athlete participation in women's basketball, and I expect this topic will continue to receive significant attention," Engelbert wrote in the memo, which was sent Friday afternoon and obtained by The Associated Press and ESPN.
"I wanted to reach out to share how we are approaching these conversations at the league office and to thank those of you who have responded to questions from the media with thoughtfulness and professionalism."
The memo said the topic will be discussed further by a task force of team presidents and general managers at a previously scheduled meeting next week.
The league's collective bargaining agreement states that "only players who are women are eligible to play in the WNBA," but it does not include any more specific language about gender identity or sex assigned at birth.
"We recognize that this is a complex and nuanced topic, and we will continue to have important conversations with all of you and the Players Association in the weeks and months ahead," Engelbert said in the memo.
"We also plan to convene additional discussions and offer listening sessions for any team leaders who would like to participate. Your perspectives and feedback are invaluable, and I appreciate those who have already reached out to share their thoughts."
The Women's National Basketball Players Association released a statement on social media Friday that emphasized diversity and inclusion while saying the group "will not be used as political pawns."
"We embrace justice equity, diversity, and inclusion," the players' union said.

Suspected crime boss Daniel Kinahan returning to Ireland in high-security operation

The Irish government jet carrying suspected crime boss Daniel Kinahan has departed Dubai for Dublin.
The 49-year-old was arrested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in April and is being extradited to the Republic of Ireland to face a charge of directing a criminal organisation.
According to flight tracking data, the plane carrying Kinahan departed Dubai at 13:19 local time and is expected to land in Dublin before 19:00 local time on Sunday.
Kinahan is not only wanted by the authorities in Ireland - the US Treasury Department once described the Kinahan cartel as one of the most dangerous in the world.
The US government imposed sanctions on Kinahan in April 2022 after he and other members of his family were identified as leaders of the Kinahan organised crime cartel.
The US Treasury Department has in the past compared the gang to crime organisations such as Italy's Camorra, Mexico's Los Zetas and Japan's Yakuza.
A reward of up to $5m (£3.84m) has also been offered by the US for information on the three most senior Kinahan gang members - Daniel, his father Christopher Snr, 65, and brother Christopher Jnr.
In 2022, Thomas Kavanagh, who the NCA said ran the group's criminal operations in the UK, was jailed for 21 years alongside Gary Vickery and Daniel Canning, who were sentenced to 20 years and 19 and a half years respectively.

Air Force investigates employee after arrest for alleged C-SAM possession; fired
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Wright-Patterson Child Development Center employee was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly possessing child sexual abuse material (C-SAM).
According to the Air Force Materiel Command (88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office), the man was assigned to the Wright Field South Child Development Center (CDC). The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) executed an arrest warrant at the home of 23-year-old Diego McDonald. This was due to his alleged online activities while in Florida.

Have you contemplated your home star recently? Featured here, a Sun partially eclipsed on the top left by the Moon is also seen eclipsed by earthlings contemplating the eclipse below. This spectacular menagerie of silhouettes was taken in 2012 from the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area near Page, Arizona, USA, where park rangers and astronomers expounded on the unusual event to interested gatherers. Also, faintly visible on the Sun's disk, just to the lower right of the dark Moon's disk, is a group of sunspots. A new solar eclipse will occur this week and give many people in northern North America, Europe, and northwestern Africa a new chance to contemplate a partially eclipsed Sun. A thin swath of Earth from Greenland to Portugal will further experience a total solar eclipse. An open question is whether any meteors from the peaking Perseids will be visible during totality.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has laid out new conditions for the US to meet before the Strait of Hormuz can be reopened, amid continuing attacks on shipping.
In a statement carried by Iranian media on Saturday, the council’s secretary, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, said that the waterway, which handles around a quarter of global seaborne oil andLNG trade, would not be reopened until “the United States changes its behavior.”
He said the US must lift its naval blockade of Iranian ports and withdraw its forces “from the area surrounding Iran,” as well as lift “unjust and illegal” sanctions, release the country’s frozen assets, and pay compensation. He added that the US must end “war and aggression” against Iran and its allies in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen.
“The US must never threaten Iran, in any language, or insult the sacred values of the Iranian nation,” Zolqadr said. (They sound like children fighting at the school yard,)
Earlier on Saturday, the UAE said an Iranian missile had struck a tanker operated by its state oil company, ADNOC, accusing Tehran of piracy. Iran insists that all vessels transiting the strait must follow its instructions and avoid what it calls the “illegal” route designated by the US Navy.
Although Iran said on Friday that it was close to reaching an agreement with Oman on the joint management of the Strait of Hormuz, peace talks with the US have effectively stalled.
US President Donald Trump said he called off new strikes last week to allow room for negotiations. Multiple US media outlets, however, have reported that the Pentagon has significantly depleted its missile arsenal and that Admiral Brad Cooper, the top US commander in the Middle East, told Trump that the target pool around Hormuz had largely been exhausted. The president and his war secretary, Pete Hegseth, have denied ammunition shortages.
Iran’s demands came amid fears of wider chaos sweeping the region. This week, Israel renewed its heavy bombardment of Lebanon, accusing Hezbollah of violating a ceasefire reached two months ago with the Lebanese government. Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthis, a pro-Iranian Shia group, launched a large-scale offensive against Saudi-backed government forces and targeted Saudi ships in the Red Sea.
The war with Iran remains unpopular among the US public, with a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll showing that 50% of Americans believe US strikes would further destabilize the Middle East, while just 17% said the situation would “get better.”

Russian forces struck port infrastructure in Odessa and the nearby city of Chernomorsk overnight from Saturday to Sunday, hitting fuel depots and a cargo-transshipment complex used to supply Ukraine’s military, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said.
In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said that it continues attacking Ukraine’s military-related port infrastructure and vessels, saying that the high-precision and drone strikes overnight hit fuel dumps and warehouses in Odessa’s port, as well as similar depots in Chernomorsk.
Fuel reservoirs used by Ukraine’s armed forces were also struck near the villages of Belyary and Novye Belyary, some 27km northeast of the port in Odessa, it added.
Ukraine’s Air Force said the overnight assault on the Odessa region involved a number of Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, Onyx anti-ship missiles, and Kh-31P anti-radar missiles, alongside 202 drones.
It claimed to have downed 174 drones and five loitering munitions, but did not report any missile interceptions. The apparent failure to down any of the Russian projectiles comes as Ukraine experiences persistent shortages of Patriot air-defense supplies.
Odessa Governor Oleg Kiper claimed that at least eight people were injured in the attack, adding that the strikes damaged infrastructure and residential buildings in the region.
Local media also reported widespread power and water outages in Odessa, with electric transport – trams and trolleybuses – suspended following the strikes. The attack also reportedly damaged a key road bridge over the Dniester near the town of Mayaky, some 30km west of Odessa, which carries traffic to and from Ukraine’s Danube ports. Unverified footage circulating online showed long queues of vehicles in the area.
Russia has been striking Ukraine’s defense-related facilities as retaliation for Kiev’s long-range attacks inside Russia, which often target critical infrastructure and residential areas. Russia maintains it never targets civilians.

A Near-Earth Object Called an Asteroid for Decades Turns Out to Be a Comet

For nearly three decades, 1998 SH2 looked like a fairly ordinary near-Earth asteroid. It was discovered in 1998, catalogued, and followed through a 4½-year orbit around the Sun.
Then, during a close but safe pass by Earth in August 2025, its motion refused to match the path astronomers had calculated.
The explanation, announced by NASA on July 16, is a quiet but satisfying one: 1998 SH2 is a comet. Its activity is so faint that earlier observations did not reveal the familiar coma or tail.
Yet gas escaping from its surface has been giving the object a small, persistent push, enough to alter its orbit in a way gravity alone could not explain.
The clue was in the orbit
NASA’s Deep Space Network had been preparing to observe 1998 SH2 with planetary radar after its 2025 approach, when it came within about 2 million miles of Earth.
The object did not appear where its predicted orbit said it should. That does not mean it was lost or threatening. It means the prediction was missing a subtle force.
Researchers at NASA’s Center for Near-Earth Object Studies combined older observations with new, precise measurements of its position.
The mismatch was consistent with non-gravitational acceleration: a tiny thrust created when sunlight warms ice mixed into the object’s rocky surface and gas escapes into space.
That is normal comet behavior. The surprise was that 1998 SH2 had been hiding it so well. A bright comet advertises itself with a visible coma and tail.
This object produced far less material, and the signs were beyond the reach of many earlier observations.
A faint tail settles the question
The team asked astronomers at several major observatories to take a closer look, including the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, the Danish 1.5-meter telescope at La Silla and the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope.
Their images showed a weak but clear tail.

That evidence confirmed the interpretation. The object will now carry an additional comet designation, P/1998 SH2.
The old provisional asteroid name is still part of its observational history, which is why both names will continue to appear in discussions of the discovery.
It is a useful reminder that the asteroid-comet boundary is not always visually obvious. Both are leftovers from the early solar system, but comets generally contain more volatile ice.
If that material is buried beneath a dark, rocky crust or only escapes in small amounts, a comet can look asteroidal until a favorable observing geometry or a carefully measured orbit reveals what it is doing.
Why planetary-defense teams care
The result is not a warning about P/1998 SH2. NASA says the 2025 pass was safe. The value of the discovery lies in method.
When a comet outgasses, its trajectory can shift more noticeably than that of a purely rocky asteroid. Tracking those shifts helps astronomers understand how an object’s orbit changes and improves the quality of future calculations.
The work also bears on a smaller, stranger population called dark comets. These objects show unexplained deviations in their motion but no obvious coma or tail.
NASA notes that only about a dozen have been identified since the first discovery in 2016. Some may prove to be ordinary, weakly active comets when telescopes catch them at the right time.
That is one reason near-Earth surveys do not end when an object gets a name. Orbits are refined for years, sometimes decades. New instruments, a close approach or a better image can turn an old catalogue entry into a new scientific story.
For 1998 SH2, the decisive evidence was neither a dramatic flyby nor a spectacular tail. It was the small gap between where the object should have been and where it actually was.
Why an object can change categories
A designation is a description of the evidence available at the time, not a permanent verdict. In this case, decades of observations established a reliable orbit, but they did not reveal a bright, active coma.
Better astrometry exposed the small push from escaping gas, and deep images supplied the visible tail that settled the question.
That sequence is exactly why catalogues are revised. Scientists keep older designations in the record because they explain how an object was first understood.
The additional comet designation tells future observers that its path can be affected by activity that may be faint, intermittent or strongly dependent on where it is in its orbit.
The discovery also illustrates the value of routine follow-up. An object may pass safely by Earth many times without attracting public attention, while its measurements quietly improve the map of the solar system.
When one detail stops fitting, researchers have a reason to look again.
